20 Best Hot Wheels Storage Case (2023 Updated)

It can hang and it can be placed on a desk with built in stands. The doors keep things kept in so nothing can knock them off or out. The only small issue I have is with the doors and glare. Sometimes you can’t always see what is in the case well depending on the angle you are looking.

Otherwise, it is a great case. There are a few things also that I think they could improve upon to hold even more cars, but I’ll take that up with Mattel hahaha.

Seems to be sturdy, but will have to see. Got this to give to my 11 year old grandson for Christmas. He has a lot Disney Pixar Cars like Lightening McQueen and Mater. I am hoping these cars will fit in this Hot Wheels Premium Case.

I only gave a 4 star rating, instead of 5 stars, because I haven’t opened the package but wrapped it as a Christmas present for my grandson.

I got the display inside a box that had room for 3 more displays also no car came inside as posted ?! I have no idea why my display came the way it did such poor packaging. I’m not sure how to go about this.

do I return it at my nearest Walmart and expect you to send a new 1 or what shall I do?.

It will last about 2 hours. Pretty unhappy. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!!

Great box that turns into a car play mat but can also store cars my kids love it

Shipped quick and is fine for most cars I suppose but I bought this hoping to finally have a place to display my Mario Kart hot wheels that I have been an avid collector of. Unfortunately the spaces are too small to hold them, so this case quickly became useless to me and I still don’t have any means to display my collection.

Seems it’s only fit for most standard hot wheels that are short enough.

This stand receives some shade for the price and material (plastic), but you know what you get when you order it. This is worth the price. I have three of these and and they are awesome. These are easy to hang – the mounting holes are 16″ so they mount easily into studs.

The small lips on the shelves are nice as they keep the cars spaced evenly.

Good quality product from Mattel. I think 50$ is a little high but its Mattel price. And maybe have various color option so the cars can stand out more. Its a well made display and I like it. Option to place on a table or shelf and you can hang on wall its a plus.

Hot wheels name on it its pretty cool.

These are hands down the best! It’s a real bummer when you order or trade for something special and it shows up in a cheap corner crushing protector! Drives me crazy! Absolutely nothing beats these protectors! Take everyone’s word and my opinion seriously.

The best Protector packs that I have found. They fit perfectly, easy access. I like the clamshell design. A+

It’s a nice little tackle box to organize small toys into separate compartments. Love it for that. HOWEVER. the little slide latches on the sides to keep each level closed are SO hard to use. They stick and don’t slide properly and you have to put each little piece on JUST right for it to click together and closed.

I have no patience for this kind of issue so basically I organized the toys into the little compartments and the box barely ever gets touched now bc it’s so frustrating to open and close.

This case is alright. It doesn’t lock easily—one side slides one direction and the other side slides the other and that lets you lift the next layer up or the top if you’re up there. That being said, the piece that slides isn’t super stable so it tends to slip a lot, resulting in some frustration in opening.

Definitely not easy for children. This same mechanism is what seems to impact the overall sturdiness of it as well. Still like it, but don’t envision it lasting long either due to those slides or general annoyance in using it.

These storage organizers are worth the price! I was very skeptical, but they are exactly what I needed!! I make dramatic play stations for my grandkids and this time I made a Zoo, so I used these cases to store all of the tools we need to take care of all the animals.

It kept me from having to lay all the stuff all over my living room. They are sturdy, lock tight and holds the weight. Love them!!.

In a world of handheld electronics this stunt box was able grab my son’s attention the second he saw the box. We both assisted in the assembly which took about 10 minutes. Fairly easy directions, some of the parts needed a little dad strength to put together.

Once assembled my son launched the car that came in the box and was hooked. He eventually grabbed all his cars to see which one would go the fastest, or the farthest down the additional tracks he added.

The container it comes in is great if you are going to want to easily transport the stunt track, but I think this will probably stay up all the time, and not be put away, then reassembled each time. Not all cars will ride the same on here.

The one that comes in the box does a great job staying on the track, but some other hot wheel cars are either too heavy or too light. Overall my son (and I) had a blast and would definitely recommend this track.

I received the Hot Wheels Track Builder Unlimited for free through the Mattel Play, Rate & Review Program in exchange for my honest opinion. I chose it for my six year old son who has autism because he loves cars, racing, and building things.

He is a great reader and thinks mechanically, so I am excited to share that it was a great fit for him. After I built the first version of the track for him, he was able to look at the pictures and directions and build another version of the track without any help from me.

He was able to get the loop and the launcher to work well together and switch out the pieces for different combinations. Probably the thing I like most about the set is the car that comes along with it and the fact that it folds up and closes to take on the go.

Unfortunately, we haven’t yet put it away since we got it, so I don’t know how easy it is to get everything to fit back in there. One concern I have is that we will lose the blue connector pieces so it would be good if it came with some extras.

Leonardo (6) and Julio (5) got very excited when they saw the packaging of this set in our dinner table. It’s nice how Mattel designed this, it’s recognizable and not boring ate all. When we open I was really surprised how the pieces were accommodated: very organized and in place.

Nice! The kids of course started building the set right away: and they found very easy to do it using only the pictures on the package and manual. Eventually they needed some help and we looked inside the manual.

We played for a couple of hours and they used different HW cars as well. In the next two days they changed the track design two or three times and invented other ways to play. My older son created some slo-mo videos with the iphone: he’d loved sharing the movie wth the car doing the stunts! Very nice toy!.

This compact carrying case packs a ton of fun. We have a storage chest full of Hotwheel tracks, plus a few that are too big for storage. However, this small carrying case manages to continue to be a fan favorite.

Partly due to portability and the many possibilities. I would pair this with a few extra tracks or a set with tracks if you don’t have any. But I would definitely recommend this as a fun toy that every little Hotwheel lover should have.

Better than our bigger fancy storage cases!.

My 4 yr. old grandson loves to race his little cars. We wanted something small enough for him to just race two cars and not take up room or take too much time to put together. It is such a neat size and comes with two cars.

The little tracks have holes in them to match up to a little notch on each side. They do NOT match up and it makes it unuseable unless you tape it from the top and the bottom. Doing so makes it complicated because it has to be done each time it’s used, if you want to pack it in it’s little carrying case.

If that was better thought out, this would be a great little toy. He enjoys it, but I have to make it work for him.

This little kit is a family favorite. It easily carries everything you need for playtime out at a friend’s house or at Nana’s. The two little cars and orange track fit right inside the case. Over the river and through the wood to Grandmother’s house we go, with our Hot Wheels in tow!.

I ordered this hot wheels case to replace my diecast cars carry case I’ve hade since the early 1970’s. That old case was a matchbox plastic suitcase type case with removable trays that hold all sizes of both hot wheels and matchbox also allowing good visibility of each car stored.

The layout of this carry case doesn’t allow visibility of the cars nor do the slots fit some types of vehicles, ex. Trucks like fire trucks or tractor trailers, and construction vehicles. If your buying this case for a kid, it’ll be ok, as the price and quality is ok for nowadays normal cars and play, but if your replacing and storing vintage diecast hot wheels and matchbox cars, your better off searching something better.

Attached are a couple pictures. Not sure if you can tell some vehicle are longer and stick out (tho cover does close). The blue trays are from my old carry case which let’s you see the vehicle better.

The product is good, but the web site is misleading. The one pictured is not the one we received. The one we received had a green monster truck, which is the same as another one we own, so now I need to go back and return it because my son does not want a duplicate case cover.

My son has two other cases just like this (each with a different picture to distinguish his different groups of cars), so he wanted a different picture on the front. The case handle is sturdy and it slides nicely under a dresser.

I’ve checked out the case that holds 100 cars in the store, but it seemed flimsy. The case cover does pop off rather easily if you want to take it off. I find my son taking the cover off frequently when he plays with his cars.

Obviously, since we already own two cases just it, I would order it again, but would open the box in the store to make sure it’s exactly what I thought I was ordering.

Well, I am not happy with this case. I ordered this to store my grand kids cars. The problem lies it in not shutting correctly and the cars are constantly falling all out. I had ordered this and had it shipped to the grandkids because I do not live nearby.

I told them to take it back to the store, but since they are so busy and have four small kids, I don’t think they did. It’s just not lining up and not well made.

There’s no way it strong enough to hold 300 hot wheels not worth tge price

Thanks to this product I finally managed to organize our household legos. I love that I can easily adjust the size of the compartments. So far nothing has broken. One lock tab came off but I slid it back on.

We owned a similar product in the past but this “Bins & Things” organizer is superior because the closure tabs easily slide on and off. The only thing to learn is that the lid only fits on the top compartment.

Protects, keeps my Die-cast crispy new and I dont take them out after initial purchase until they are going into the armor lol highly recommended – they keep your $TH like new from 2011

Very high quality product. Better than expected. Provides outstanding protection for carded die cast cars that are not typically sized, such as the more elite retro entertainment Hot Wheels.

These cases are great! Theyre made out of thick durable plastic and feel like a protector should. They fold like a book which is a lot better than the ones that fold longways. The cars fit perfect and look great hanging up.

Clear display doors. A bit flimsy but somewhat durable if you’re careful opening and closing them. I don’t like the slotted sides which can allow dust inside the case. This kind of defeats the purpose for me which is to keep dust off the cars.

Dusting all those 1/64th scale cars can be a chore. Excellent case overall. I love mine!.

Hotwheels 50th anniversary display case, well it’s supposed to be!! The case does not have 50th anniversary on it & it only holds 48 cars not 50 cars as it’s advertised. It’s a nice display case very solid, good quality.

But the sides are hollow so plenty of air & dust can get through. I paid $110, I personally believe it’s only worth $50 I wish it had the 50th anniversary logo on it & not just hotwheels!!.

I liked the fact you can either display on a tabletop or hang from wall. Easy open access. The doors are plastic so they aren’t quite as sturdy as I had hoped. Overall pleased with the display case.

Not opened it yet but I know it will be a winner at Christmas with my car mad son. Fast delivery and pack accordingly. Five star service, I’m happy and will be using this store over and over again to look for a good deal.

I’m happy enough with this brand and model plastic case that I’ve purchased three of them for individual diecast autos in my collection. They’re sturdy enough if treated with reasonable care. As my collection grows, I move my vehicles into heavier Plexiglas cases designed to hold several cars at once and mount on the wall.

They’re ideal for my use when I want to feature a car separately or protect it when I’m out of space in the larger multi-car cases. Note: I haven’t used them stacked, so I can’t report on how well that works.

I now have 5 of these display cases. My vintage Ginny Dolls fit perfectly in them. I even have one doll still in the box, which also fits into this display case. (See doll on right on bottom shelf. ) The case keeps them dust-free and looking exactly as they did when I paid lots of money for them! :).

This is a fantastic product. If you are in to keeping your collectibles clean and clear of dust this is your baby. I have searched for quite a while for this exact product. I had six of them from a few years ago when a hobby shop I use to frequent carried them but stopped for some reason.

I gave E-bay a shot and couldn’t believe that I might have finally found the exact product. I actually waited until they were delivered and then was delighted to discover they were just the one’s I had been searching for.

They are so useful and if you’re short on space they stack beautifully. I collect a lot of die cast fire trucks from all era’s. They not only display beautifully but they stay perfectly clean. Not a speck of dust ever gets inside.

I would highly recommend this product and look forward to purchasing more of them.

From inspection it looks great. It looks durable and entertaining. I’m sure it will be good for thinking skills too in terms of timing to get through etc. However, it is a Xmas present so hasn’t been tested by children yet! I’m confident it will be a big hit and great entertainment on Xmas day.

If this is not the case, I’ll update the review but I’m not expecting to.

My grandson who has quite a few cars can now carry them around with him whenever he wants. Ive been looking for something like this to keep his cars together and this is perfect ! And he loves hot wheels so even better :).

Not good. I haven’t received them and Australian Post said they haven’t left the Toy Universe Warehouse. Corresponded twice but have only heard back once.

I was so disappointed when I opened this up and realized there were no cars included! Almost $20 for a tin carrying case. It’s only mentioned once in the description. Yes, I should’ve read the full description but they really should be more obvious in this situation.

It has survived a rambunctious 2 yr old for 3 months so far. The tin is lightweight but seems sturdy. It has a lunchbox style opener which is easy for small fingers to use.

Very deceptive! No cars included! Way over priced for just a tin! Theft by deception!
