20 Best Hose Nozzle For Pressure (2023 Updated)

This nozzle works SO much better than the typical plastic models that last maybe one full year and then become more trouble than one can imagine! I have 3 plastic ones that do not work!! This brass nozzle is the BEST!! It doesn’t leak when screwed onto the faucet or the hose! It’s simple, reliable and inexpensive!! I haven’t tried the pressure nozzle yet.

I believe it will work just as well as the twist nozzle!.

I remember using ones like the adjustable (long) one when I was just a kid. The seem heavy and well made. The adjustable one seals well when you turn off the sprayer. It is adjustable from fine mist to long distance jet.

With them being made of brass, I expect to be using them years from now. I wanted the fireman’s nozzle (short one) to get extra height so I can dismantle web worm nests. It worked well, though if they made one with a smaller nozzle that would give me more pressure, I’d buy it.

I believe I have owned and tossed out 5 of these type of spray nozzles. I finally decided to buy “up” , spend twice as much and see what I get. I ‘m glad I did. The Sun Joe nozzles are machined out of sold brass – no pot metal in this product.

Gaskets are quality and standard size. easy to replace. Twist hose nozzle: no leaks or drips in the ‘off’ setting. As I dial the nozzle towards the jet function I get a true spray pattern all the way to the jet spray setting with no leaking around the fittings.

Perfect! Jet Sweeper: WOW! This little guy shoots a hard stream of water like a mini fire hose. Amazing. It’s like my garden hose has 75 more pounds of pressure. I can think-up a 100 uses for this jet nozzle, but you can think up your own.

U won’t be sorry to own these nozzles. (I am a critical buyer, if I didn’t like this product I would tell you so) These nozzles are Great!.

I give it one star because it does in fact allow water to get through it. Poor, random spray pattern, will waste tons of water, builds virtually no forceful jet or shower. I hope this one was defective, because if that’s how it was engineered, it’s the worst nozzle.

Looks nice but it took away any water pressure we had. All of the spray options were the same, water just spewed down like a hose on low without a nozzle.

Sturdier than I thought it would be for the price. I have several, wanted one more lightweight but well made. Definitely happy with it

This hose nozzle works as well or even better than the last 2 that I’ve used from the big box store. Easy to change watering positions while watering and the handle is comfortable.

I bought this to replace what I thought was a really good nozzle. In fact, I had reviewed that other nozzle because it was working so well – for a few weeks. Unfortunately, that nozzle then got dirt in it and I could no longer twist it to adjust or turn off the stream.

This Aqua Joe Heavy-Duty Indestructible Metal Multi-Function Adjustable Hose Nozzle with Smart Throttle, AJHN102 is truly indestructible and works as advertised. As a senior with arthritis and other disabilities this nozzle works perfectly for me in the yard and filling my goats’ water buckets.

I ordered this April of 2021. Loved it. Went to use it last week (March 2022), after not using it since November, and the Smart Throttle ejected. Tried putting it back in multiple times and it kept spitting it out again.

Tried contacting the company and I have to have a serial number to get any kind of help. Well I didn’t keep this information so I’m stuck. If you buy one, make sure you register with the company and keep the paperwork.

I’m disappointed in the customer service but I really didn’t think I would ever need the serial number, so my fault. But with the problem I’m having, after very limited use, I don’t think the quality is there either.

I bought this a few days ago and was extremely disappointed. I have a similar style with the on/off handle that I like but it leaked badly from the start. The only positive thing that I have to say is that it DOESN’T leak but the stream is so weak on either set no matter what the setting that it shoots out an anemic stream for about 5 feet.

I need a high power stream to clean out the bottom of a small galvanized tub but this doesn’t even get the dirt out. I am using it to water my potted tomatoes and the dirt isn’t disturbed even using the 3 spray pattern nozzle.

My old one had a similar on/off handle so I like the design and that it didn’t leak but even with the spigot all the way open, something that I never had to do, the stream was less powerful than my kitchen sink faucet.

They are cheap, get-what-you-pay-for, sprayers. The straight fire house style sprayer has a very weak flow and adjusting for a straight stream is nearly impossible. The angled head also has weak flow and leaks a lot around the dial you turn to select the stream style.

Not a recommended purchase.

The nozzle on the right only lasts a few months at most! I have been buying these every year for at least three years. same problem. Was hoping they would fix the issue. Looks like they would test these our before putting them on the shelf.

Save your packaging because you will want to return them! Hope to hear back from them but i seriously doubt it.

I have had some bad experiences ordering online from Walmart and not realizing that it is a company other than Walmart. Returns are not always easy. When I ordered this product, I did not realize that I was not ordering a Walmart product and when I discovered that, I was very hesitant as to the quality.

However, I have to say, this product exceeded my expectations. It is well made, arrived on time, and works great. It was easy to attach to the hose and the spray nozzle offers a wide variety of options to water my garden and flowers.

I would definitely recommend this product.

The many settings makes this a very useful tool for watering in different areas. The jet is strong and does a great job cleaning dusty patios. I use the shower setting for watering plants. I bought two last year, one become clogged, (water mineral), so it was tossed in trash.

But at the low cost I feel I can replace them periodically.

You want Luxury garden gear. Walmart has it. Pure Brass and High Quality. Match it with a Swan Heavy Duty Hose and you are SET !! I have a large greenhouse and a shadehouse. it is important to get the right spray , volume and control in an item that lasts and lasts.

I’ve tried the multiple option sprinkler nozzles. They work ok for a while, but then the different options start becoming all the same and the nozzle leaks horribly at the hose. I’ve tried unscrewing and rescrewing, etc.

, but the leaks just get worse. I think it’s because they are made of plastic. Give me the the old fashioned BRASS. Works LONGER and BETTER than the plastic things.

Quality classic brass construction! No leaks, easy to use, solid, classic simple design. No more plastic!!! This one will last. Im buying a second for the front yard.

As an engineer I appreciate a well-designed product. This hose nozzle is one, in every way. The trigger works well and the lock for it allows a steady stream without holding in the trigger. It is easy to disconnect the lock, just squeeze the trigger.

The spray adjustment on the end is also wonderful, just rotate to adjust a continuously variable stream, no need to pick a predetermined spray pattern. As other reviews mention, the nozzle will rotate without moving the hose, a very convenient feature.

You can’t go wrong with this product, worthy of 5 stars.

I purchased this after reading other people’s reviews. I’ve been purchasing water nozzles on the cheap and none last but a few months. They were usually a combination of plastic and metal. This one’s all metal.

I’ve only had it a few days but like it. It’s built well and sturdy. I’ll return with with another review if it doesn’t hold up.

Gilmore classic. copied by many Gilmore has had this design around for 50 years. it’s said that copying your work is a form of flattery. Well made still, just like the originals decades ago. If I had a ‘wish list’.

I would suggest the knurled adjustment knob be a bit larger for easier grip while adjusting. but it’s been that way for. you guessed it. decades. We have tons of hose nozzles that do all sorts of things.

this classic Gilmore is always my favorite for general yard work, car washing, walkway sweeping, general landscape watering. then I have another favorite for delicate planting bench application. you see, this classic nozzle won’t do a fancy ‘shower’ pattern which is preferred in seedlings.

This is an “old school” Gilmour nozzle that is just what I was looking for (and thought wasn’t made anymore). I liked it so much that I ordered a second one for another hose I have. I prefer this design to the nozzles that have the dial spray pattern when I’m washing my car since I can change from a narrow “Jet” parttern to a broader “Spray” pattern just by how far I squeeze the handle.

This also has a threaded hose connection at the nozzle end that you can use to connect another hose or device that gives you “On/Off” control at the hose end rather than the faucet end.

Being fed up with poorly made and nasty plastic hose nozzles I decided to try a more expensive Gardena version, primarily because it was made in Germany and I expected good quality, even in a plastic construction.

Overall the quality is far better than similar Far Eastern made versions but I am dissapointed in the practical operation of the sprayer. Whilst it is pleasant to hold and requires little effort to use it’s ability to go from a powerful jet through to a fine spray is fiddly to control and adjust.

Whilst it’s hose connections are extremely good, and leak proof, the “gun” itself is not as effective, or as easy to adjust, as a very basic brass “twist to adjust” hose nozzle – which is dissapointing.

As I have a multitude of different plants to water ranging from small trees and shrubs to delicate seedlings I am dissapointed in the ability of this tool to easily provide the correct level of irrigation, or the distance needed to avoid continuously moving the hose.

I am now going to find a more basic, but quality, easier to control brass version – even if I have to accept that it might well give me wet feet!.

Works, but spray pattern is limited and not ideal. Wide spray is too wide, difficult to aim into potted plants. Narrow one is too strong. Other patterns not generally used.

These aren’t cheap so should be good quality, sadly no. Similar Gardena nozzles lasted many years, but this one split along a seam, was cared for, not left outside. Who keeps a receipt for a hose nozzle ? On some spray patterns wouldn’t shut off til volume valve shut down.

I was tired of replacing hose nozzles every time I dropped mine and they didn’t operate correctly afterwards. I researched and found the Greenwood nozzle and I have found this nozzle to be superior to any I have used.

I use it to wash my car and I need a forceful spray and durability. The spray is very strong. There are also variable sprays depending on how much you turn the nozzle. The brass construction encapsulated in the thick rubber housing make this nozzle extremely durable.

You can drop it on the ground and it continues to work perfectly. No trigger to break. Easy turn of the nozzle to adjust the spray to your liking. Great product at a great price! I recommend this to anyone wanting an inexpensive, durable, versatile nozzle.

Bought a few of these nozzles for the strip clubs annual, “Clean Cars, Dirty Girls” car wash and they worked great! The high powered setting effectively removed a lot of the built-up dirt and filth that, on some, had probably been there for months.

While the lower setting was gentle enough that we were able to use it for the wet t-shirt contest later on that night. Oh and it helped with washing the cars too.

This nozzle seems to have multiple “focal” points. You can hear the pitch of the water increase and feel recoil from the hose as you twist it to the right place. So you can have a jet of water with less flow but higher velocity, or one with lower velocity but more water flow.

There are no valves or anything, this just happens as part of the design. It is VERY COOL. Best harbor freight purchase this year so far. I love it.

I have 3 of these and they are WONDERFUL. while they last. The problem is that after about a year, they start leaking and will no longer turn off at the thumb switch due to a design flaw IN the mechanism itself.

NOT the gasket, drat! So instead of being able to leave the water running at the source and turning the nozzle off (my preference), you must turn the water off at the source.

I purchased this for my mom at a popular retail store earlier this year and she loves it. Shes wants 2 more for other hoses on her property and I think Ill be buying two for myself as well after recently using hers.

The spray is powerful. obviously dependent on your water pressure and appreciate the different spray settings. Have absolutely no complaints about this product!.

Identical to much higher priced items at A list sellers. Excellent nozzle. I have 3 acres of gardens and a postage stamp lawn. Having multiple spray settings at finger tips makes all the difference in gardens.

Just don’t run over it with a truck – it still worked but lost two spray patterns.

Love these. Martha knows what she’s talking about. I had several nozzles that I purchased from local HW store, but they always broke/leaked. Every year I was buying new ones. I decided to try these old style ones, which I remembered using when I was a kid.

they are great! I like that I don’t have to hold down a lever to make the water come up, and that I can stick the nozzle right into the bushes to water at the root level, which was clumsy to do with a bigger nozzle or wand.

The only downside is that you can’t really adjust the pressue to water seedlings for example. If you open them up just a little bit, they emit a very wide spray. So I have to use my hand to take the full force of the water and redirect it in a trickle onto my seedlings.

These seem to be very sturdy and well made. It easily changes from a gentle spray to a strong jet to off with a twist. I almost didn’t buy these because they didn’t look like the typical trigger mechanism, but this is better.

Nice, heavy ,solid brass nozzles with smooth operation. Comes in giftable branded box. Good buy.

It’s a simple design that works great. It even comes that an additional gasket. Just screw it on the end of your hose and flip the lever. No leaks or sticky triggers to deal with.

Water flow is really weak, it’s just designed to not really flow a decent amount of water.

This hose nozzle works good and I really like the lever for the turning the water off and on.

Whenever I see the word “indestructible” used to describe a product I question how legitimate it is. So far though the nozzle has lived up to its claims. For example, my kids left the hose in the driveway and I accidently run it over with my truck.

Other than a minor scratch, the nozzle wasn’t damaged one bit. Overall, I’m very happy with the way it works and it’s perfect for watering my outdoor plants and garden. It’s also refreshing to have found something in this day in age that will actually last! I wish more products out there were like this one.

I think most people would agree that it’s worth spending a few extra dollars for a good quality product like this one then some cheap junk that breaks after using it a couple of times.

I’ve used other Aqua Joe products before so I was happy to get to use those hose nozzle. This thing is a beast. It is on the heavier side but its built to handle any drop or anything that stands in it’s way.

The adjustment on it is very easy to use. The spray pressure on it is great whether you’re just watering your plants or washing your car at home. It is super nice. I highly recommend it.

This product was easy to connect to the hose. It weighs more than other hose nozzles but it is more heavy duty and durable. I like that it has an adjustable nozzle so that one is able to find the exact spray that they want to water plants, etc.

The only downside it does not have any other spray capabilities such as flat, cone, soaker, or angle. I also love the aqua blue color that matches the pool.

I’ve been using this model Gilmour hose nozzle for more than 50 years and I’ve ‘road tested’ many other types and brands and none come close to the Gilmour in actual performance. I was a bit dismayed to see the traditional ‘Made In The USA’ replaced with ‘Made In China’, BUT it seems Gilmour has managed to get the Chinese to meet Gilmour’s exacting specifications and quality standards! Would buy another and highly recommend to others.

This nozzle appeared to be simple and well made which is why I preferred it. I had an old one that was over 20 years old, but made in the USA. It’s still good except for the internal O-Ring that wore out.

Could not find an O-Ring to fit perfectly, so I bought this one that is made in China. I wondered what gives, because I was concerned that it was aluminum with a brass tone finish. Still not sure, so I attached it to my hose.

The spray was fine, but was slightly leaking between the connection fitting on the nozzle and the hose fitting. I went to tighten it a little and it just spun. Thinking that the hose stripped out, because it had a stamped fitting, I was surprised to see the threads on the nozzle were not very deep.

Those on my old hose were much deeper. Maybe the threads were never cut deep enough, but I didn’t inspect it until I had the issue. Going to return it, maybe for another one after I inspect the threads or possibly change it out for a better one.

This is pretty much what you’d expect: Twist it, it opens and you get water. Twist it back the other way until it stops, and the water shuts off. Depending on how far you screw it open, you get either a broad spray or a directed stream.

When fully open in the “stream” position, it’s a pretty tight stream that projects a fair amount of power (depending on your water pressure, naturally). Something to be aware of however: When you first “unleash the beast,” the most-near to fully closed position is a VERY broad, light spray (covers probably 150+ degrees of arc.

It’s a very fine spray at that point and since the water droplets are light and cast widely, you might catch a little overspray on you. If you don’t mind a wee bit ‘o the damp, no biggie, and if you’re prepared and move fast, you can move past that position very rapidly and avoid the problem (if you can call it that) altogether.

You could also just leave the sprayer in the position you prefer, and start/stop the flow by using your faucet or a ball-style shutoff at the end of your hose. Overall, I like this sprayer a LOT. it’s comparable to others I’ve used costing twice as much.

All brass! Good tight seal when closed! What’s not to love?.

Third year using these but the cushioning substance on the handle is flaking off. Is is sticky and making a mess. The spray still works but not pleasant to hold. May try some water proof tape to wrap the handle.

Manufacture may want to look at what they are using as I suspect it is being destroyed by sunlight as mine are put away during the winter.

I bought this nozzle to go with the feather weight hose. It doesn’t measure up with the nozzle I already had with my other hose. You can’t control the water pressure as much as you need to. The little nob needs to have more range of pressure.

It makes an odd noise sometimes when you squeeze or release the handle. I think it costs too much for what you get. It has a more narrow flow than some nozzles. The color of purple the nozzle is tuned out to be very nice.

I think this nozzle is only good for those who have arthritis. Otherwise there are better nozzles out there. There’s not enough control of the handle and the amount of water that comes out. There is a sudden on or off of water with the handle, and no range of control of water pressure in between.

So far I like the sprayer but won’t make a final decision until see how it lasts through the winter and into next season. Was quite disappointed that there were a number of chips in the paint when I took it out of the box, “brand new.

” That kind of takes the shine off the item when it is already a bit beat up. Debated making a fuss about it and/or requesting a return but needed the sprayer and that plus the hassle of returning and waiting, etc, allowed me to procrastinate on that.

I like the various spray pattern options and find the water stream has enough power on settings like “jet,” which was a problem with another sprayer I really liked. Appreciate the ability to regulate flow with the dial on the back of the nozzle though I wish it was possible to make the adjustment one-handed while spraying, for example with your thumb of the hand holding the nozzle, as opposed to having to use your other hand.

Also appreciate the lock-on clip concept but don’t think it is well-designed. I find the slightest jostle will disengage the clip and therefore shut off the flow. The ability to have water flowing without constantly squeezing the nozzle is great when watering for an extended time but if the clip constantly disengages it doesn’t help much.

Quite like the purple color, and the green is okay, too, but would also like a couple other color choices. I agree with another reviewer that it is nice to have colors that are easy to see in the lawn.

I love this nozzle so much, I don’t know how I lived without it for so long! It ‘s so easy & comfortable to use. It works great from soaking my hanging baskets to washing my dogs. There is a fine mist all the way to the right that is perfect for watering my still growing herbs.

And the high velocity setting is great for washing my dirty car after my husband “mans it up. ” I love that it has a Lifetime Warranty. I use mine so much, evidently I wore the orings out (opps! lol) But I just called them up and they sent me a kit that day that stopped the leaking.

I will never buy another hose nozzle ever again & have already convinced my friends they need them too.

I have arthritis in my hands and fingers, so many nozzles are a nightmare to use. I’ve switched to the ones with a lever but they haven’t been long running. So I thought I couldn’t lose trying yet another style.

This is great. Only been using for a few weeks. But besides comfort level, the strongest setting really is like a mid level power wash. The other settings are also slightly different, and work better, like the soaker.

No more spraying soil out of the pot.

Screws on to hose easily and doesn’t leak. Strong flow and easy to change. Made from Strong materials that last a long time. I bought this nozzle many years ago at a Home show. It has lasted for years.

I looked around on the net and ordered from Houzz. Original was black but. now colors are available and design has been updated.

This really is a wonderful trigger nozzle. First, it has a really sleek looking design and is very comfortable in my hand. There is a bit of a cushion around handle which is great because sometimes my hand get fatigued when using other ones for a long time.

This one does not cause that to happen. I like how there is a hold clip so it can spray continuously also! Another great feature to reduce hand fatigue. Plus, the water stream can adjust from a powerful jet to very light rinse.

I would highly recommend this product!.
