20 Best High Lumen Tactical Flashlight (2023 Updated)

First off, prepare for wall of text, but there is a lot to cover. Great light. Use it every night as a night shift Police Officer. While the job is inherently dangerous, this flashlight helps alleviate some of the danger by providing bright light whenever needed.

Whether it is being able to clearly see drivers/passengers on traffic stops, or simply walking around dark areas on calls for service, this light does the trick and it does it well. Another nice feature this flashlight has, is its multifunction button.

2 taps allows for a strobe light, while 3 rapid taps gives a slightly less bright light. I personally use the slightly less bright light for searching bags, or other objects where the brightest setting kind of blinds me or basically makes it so objects arent easily visible due to reflections or simply being too bright.

Battery is more than capable of withstanding 12 hour shifts (which is what I work). I usually charge it when I get home and by the time I wake for my next shift its ready to go. If I do forget to charge it, it comes with a usb charging cable which makes charging it in the patrol car highly convenient.

It will not charge as fast as being plugged into a wall, but it definitely comes in handy in a pinch. My only gripe (which is a bit picky I will admit) is that the carrying case it comes with is a little cheap as it is only Velcro.

Would be great if Streamlight would come out with a sturdy Kidex holder for this light to purchase separately. Other than that I see no flaws so far. At just around 75 dollars this is a perfect flashlight to use everyday.

I once spent 160 dollars on another flashlight only to have it fall off my duty belt and become someone elses light. I wont mention what type it was, but it was also a great flashlight, however, at 160 dollars it was quite a loss.

So for around 90 dollars less this light performs just as good, is a bit smaller and wont necessarily be such a kick in the gut if its lost. Buy this light, you wont be disappointed.

The perfect size for edc, it’s a little thick, but it will fit into just about any pocket you need it to. I carry mine on an rcs pocket shield and the stock clip rides a little low in the pocket, a thyrm switchback put a it at the perfect height.

The recessed button makes it tricky to perform techniques such as the Rogers technique or using previously mentioned switchback, the tailcap can bite your knuckles if you aren’t careful, but this is ultimately a training issue that can be overcome.

As far as the light itself, obscenely bright is the best way to describe it. I have it out when I walk the dogs and it will light up the whole alleyway if I let it. It cuts through photonic barriers very easily, and has a tremendous range, the hot spot physically hurts if shone directly in the eyes.

Ten taps is very intuitive, I switched it to high only and never looked back The light is in and of itself worth the price of admission, but the batteries add a whole new level of convenience to them.

Cr123s may be the industry standard, but they’re a pain to keep stocked. Now I can just charge them on the same cord as my phone and be good to go for a week, the spares I store in my bag so I always have a backup, I’ll probably spring for a cellvault, LAPG, if you were to start stocking thyrm, I would be all over that Overall this is a tremendous value, it’s not the brightest light in its weight class, but it’s access to valued accessories like the 2nd generation switchback and it’s brilliant fueling system make it the perfect alternative to surefire.

I’m a big fan of Streamlight. Anything they make runs like a tank. Throw them, beat them, they still run. This is my second one of these I own. I bought this one for home and my truck. The other is on my duty belt for work.

I trust this light with my life on duty. Its cool because you can use either the rechargeable 18650 battery which lasts forever or two CR123A’s. Still maintains the same brightness. I actually carry a second 18650 in my bag, and a few spare CR123A’s as well.

I’ve never had to use them. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the belt clip. I just took that off. The open screw holes still leave it sealed. I use a round Safariland holder for mine, fit for the Surefire 6P.

Fits fine. This light for its size is extremely bright. Lights up a room, building or a back yard.

The light is extremely bright, no arguments about that. I’ve used this for Police Patrol at nights in high crime areas. I loved it, but one night on duty it just stopped working. So disappointed! Oh well, scared to purchase another.

Perfect size and weight. Very bright. Even the lowest setting is brighter than any incandescent flashlight. Zoom feature works great too. It goes from a floodlight to a blinding spotlight. Not sure how they can sell these for twenty bucks.

Great flashlight, light weight, well made easy to find anywhere batteries AAs. Very cheap price , for something that performs and feels like a couple hundred dollars high end device. Amazing flashlight get it , you will love it.

I would definitely recommend this flashlight for anyone that needs to feel secure in their surroundings. I live in the woods, and when things go bump in the night, you need to see what is going on. This is a compact light, so it’s easy to carry in a purse or pocket.

I will be buying another to have in the car with me. When I got it, I realized that I didn’t have good batteries, but found some generic ones in the drawer. When I put them in, the light was strong, so I can imagine what I will have when I get the good batteries.

I have used this to look at the tree line at night, and you can really see things that I couldn’t see with my spotlight. I love that you can change the light settings to high, medium and low and can also focus or zoom in to a certain area.

There is also a strobe light and sos light for emergencies. It is made from a very heavy metal, which says that it can be run over or boiled or frozen without any damage. Naturally I didn’t try this, but it’s good to know that cold weather or an accidental drop shouldn’t damage it.

This is the brightest flashlight I have ever had and I have bought numerous lights and spotlights. This is by far the best! Pros: Bright, heavy duty, multiple features Cons: none.

Tough and compact with a sharp bright multi-function beam that explodes from grapefruit to wall size in a flash. Bottom rubber push-on button is sluggish and awkwardly located. Bad news. this was my second Taclight and used only a few hours.

Despite new batteries, It wouldn’t light up next day. Bought this one with the refund. It’s fine!.

I already owned the Bell and Howell Tactical flashlight as described in this sales wright up. The flashlights I received are not Bell and Howell! The only marking is the number 002. The LED used in this light is about 1/2 the diameter of the LED in the real Bell and Howell and the beam from this knock off is of course about half as bright.

Very disappointing! They did not even put a white reflector around the LED. There is no “O” ring on the lens cap but it does have a “O” ring installed on the battery/switch end of the light. NOT good for wet weather! The Ultrafire brand batteries shown in the add are not what it came with.

They brag about how heavy their batteries are. The weight of the supplied battery is 20 grams as compared to my Sanyo 3350 mAh battery that weights 40 grams. The battery supplied says 5800mAh. with flashlight on high power, the supplied battery went from 4.

2 volts full charge down to 3. 1 volts in only 35 minutes, the true capacity of this battery is probably less than 1000mAh! This is not a protected cell so the average user will destroy this cell very quickly.

The charger supplied works fine, full charge cut off at 4. 2 volts. Bottom line. buyer beware of _____!.

This light is way better than I expected for $100. The light is more than bright enough, with good spread for clearing rooms and enough focus to blind and disorient. Not nearly too bright that I’m going blind from the bounce, but it can definitely daze you if you hit a mirror.

Have someone strobe you with it in the dark–not fun. Streamlight says it’ll get 6 hours out of a pair of batteries but we’ll see. If it’s even an hour that’s plenty for me to trust it to work when I need it.

10 more batteries was like $12 so it doesn’t matter for me. The spread and brightness make for a pretty minimal shadow when I mount it next to the barrel, but I offset it above and the shadow totally disappears from view.

The pressure switch is the real winner here. It takes a good amount of pressure so I can wrap my thumb over for recoil without getting a light AD, but it activates easily with confidence anywhere along its length.

I see people using the included zip ties to mount the switch and I can’t imagine why–the rubber pic clips are tight enough that they’re hard to take off if you wanted to. The wire is a good length so it cleans up easy without a lot of extra that needs to be taped up like other switches.

The mount is a little bulky but it just barely misses my front sight so I’m happy with it. Everything could be smaller and lighter, but not at this price and not enough that it’s worth paying more. 100% good value.

I’ll put another on my 10. 5″ right away.

Purchased for my work shotgun, I’ve been using streamlight products for a few years nowand have liked the stingers (duty belt) and the ProTac HL (AR weapon light) The ProTac has held up to three years of recoil as a weapon light and the Stinger has gone in the water a few times, dropped countless times and broken a couple of car windows (with the “bust a cap” glass breaker tail end).

I can’t speak for the Railmounts durability but looking at their other products I don’t think it will be a problem. What I like, affordable – compare this to a sure fire and streamlight is much more affordable.

Remote pressure pad, using this on my patrol shotgun so the light is mounted on the forend via rail on a magpu on the right side, (sling does not interfere with light)l and the pressure switch on the left.

Large momentary on is easy to find with the thumb and the raised clicker on/off is also easy to find. Operates just like all the other 10 click programmable streamlights, its nice to use three lights that all operate the same.

Cons, disappointed streamlight did not make a remote switch that worked with the whole ProTac line. The HL is 100 more lumens and being a normal flashlight you can adjust the position of the mount with a one inch ring, with the rail mount since the mount is part of the body you are stuck with the factory position and cannot move the light backwards or forwards in the mount.

Fixed cord length, cord does not plug in and out like the TLR line so if the cord is too short or too long tough or get creative with a soldering gun to splice a wire unlike the tlr that has various lengths for sale even offering a bungee coil.

Mounting the switch, the product comes with zipties, 3m double sided tape and two rubber rail mounts. My shotgun is for professional duty use zipties and tape do not scream reliable or professional to me, I used the the rubber rail mounts, someone answered the question above stating a seven rail section is needed to mount, not true.

I initially used a seven rail and was three rails short, the robber overhanged and I was not impressed with its ability to hold the switch in place. An 11 rail section is one too long but I will be damned if I can find an even numbered section of rail.

Here is hoping the switch will stay attached coming in and out of the patrol car in a hurry and getting things pushed against it during training and game time. I hope streamlight will get Magpul’s attention and they make a mount, their surefirem switch mounts are rock solid.

To summarize Streamlight historically has good durability and I have no doubt this will match its reputation, good value buy at a little more than $100 should make this an affordable light, brightness is fine for working indoors, its fine outdoors with my shotgun but the HL throws out a much brighter and longer light glad the HL is my rifle light and the railmoun is on the shotgun.

Cors length is what you get and it appears to replace any broken parts you will need to call and ask Streamlight for a new cord since they do not sell it separately. WIsh the pressure switch had a rail mount system more rubost than the flexible rubber system they have now, 10 rail sections needed for mount six will get you there but it will over hang and not be very secure.

I’ve been carrying this light at work as an industrial electrician every day for a year and a half and during that time it has proven to be very durable and reliable. I use it often to quickly light up dark corners of cabinets and read stamped labels, and will use it as a work light, leaving it running on what I’m working on for extended periods.

I wish I could give it 4. 5 stars because it’s only real drawback as a basic work light is the battery life. It eats through batteries a lot and it’s been inconvenient a couple of times. Overall I can’t gripe much about it for as much as it gets used but I’ve got other lights that I like less for more important reasons that seem to go forever on batteries.

The ten-tap programming works nicely and I’ve got mine programmed to come on low when the button is pressed once and high if you press it twice. I use the low setting most of the time. One nice thing about changing the batteries often is I lube the O-ring often when the light is apart.

I’ve had to wash it a few times in the sink with soap and water and it’s proven to be completely waterproof. If I were to lose it or break it, I’d most likely not hesitate to get the same light again.

This single mode light eliminated the constant shifting from bright to dim to blinking of many LED flashlights. I don’t need to send SOS, and who, besides a ham radio operator like myself, even knows SOS (3 shorts, 3 longs, 3 shorts).

It is well build. Only quibble I have is its focusing cylinder, which is a little big for me. This is not a flashlight for the pocket, unless you wear carpenter pants. Focusing lens is excellent, and it takes either 18650 or 3-AAA for versatility.

It is really bright, no dim moments here. I like 18650 cells, which are rechargeable and deliver high power.

Very impressed so far. So tired of the lights that have multi modes. I want on and off only, These are not heavy, appear to be durable, and provide a good beam. Love them.

I received the product very quickly. It was well packaged and undamaged. The lights were not very bright but they were single mode and zoom-able, which is what I wanted. The first light quit working in a week.

The other light ( It was a two pack of lights ) is still going. I wish that they were brighter.

I was undecided between this flashlight and a Streamlight 75458 Stinger DS LED HL 800-Lumen flashlight. I did what any man would do when faced with this decision and bought both. This flashlight is slightly brighter,better throw, and way easier to put into the mount.

The Streamlight did come with an extra battery to keep in the piggy back charger if having a extra battery is of importance to you. Just for laughs I compared them both to a $30 Chinese USB rechargeable flashlight I have loved for years.

It blew both of these high end flashlights away with lighting a large area with blinding light. It however does not throw as far because the beam is much wider. For everyday use the $30 light just destroys both of these lights.

I mean it is hard to use it inside because no matter where you point it you have to squint. Now if you want the wall mount charger and low throw with a more narrow beam then these both out perform it.

For the sake of this comparison the Maglite is the winner.

BATTERY MADE IN CHINA TORCH BODY MADE IN USA Worst purchase for a long time. The torch battery is past its use by date, 5 years old. Suggested life time of these batteries are 5 years. I currently have one of these torches that I have sent the battery to a manufacture to make a new battery as it had failed too.

That torch was only 2 years old. This exact one. I contacted Peters Of Kensington and since been in contact with Maglite. Wonder if will get a replacement battery or not. Not very likely as been a long time now.

Pity ALL my maglites with Chinese batteries are all sitting on the bench DEAD. My oldest normal D size battery version is still working 30 years later.

Loved the old school Maglites. Been using Maglites for 20 years as a police officer. This new light is so much brighter and last longer on a charge. I can see Maglite has came a long way since my rookie days.

Love the light. It’s smaller than my old school lights but I love the new size. Perfect size for holding with your arm while you write. Got the traffic cone and it lights up the night. You won’t be disappointed with this light.

It charges fast and lasts approximately 4 hrs. No issues so far. I use this on duty and would trust my life with it. This light takes a beating with my job and still holds up. Get One!!!!!.

Technology advances in lighting is reflected in these flashlights made by Feit. Superlative brightness in a light solid package. Best Ive seen in affordable flashlights. Have purchased for myself and as gifts for those needing a solid flashlight for any reason.

I’m very surprised by the great reviews of this flashlight. Out of the package it seems like a very well made light. But when i put in the batteries the very first time i noticed the fine threaded rear cap slid over the probably 3/4″ of fine threads on the body rather than engaging the threads.

I found the rear cap (and switch) rotated just one and a half turns before becoming fully seated. By the third battery change I could easily over-tighten the rear cap and have the threads disengage. The light still worked so I figured I’ll just tighten it till its snug.

Then I made the mistake of dropping this flashlight just one time! Just once. It rolled off the front bumper of my car and fell maybe 1. 5 feet to the pavement. And that’s it. Its dead. I could still slightly tighten the battery cover so that wasn’t the problem.

it just won’t work at all. When it worked it was a great flashlight, very bright, well working switch, smooth beam adjustment and seemingly rock solid. But no. If you buy one of these I strongly suggest you check the threading of the rear battery cover.

If with all those threads it takes less than 2 full turns to fully seat the battery cover, I’d return it. Then just never drop it!.

I have been through more than my fair share of flashlights. Without a doubt, this one is the best. Whether zoomed in or out, it’s insanely bright. It’s good on battery life and very durable. I’ve dropped it countless times and it doesn’t matter onto what it fell or from how high, it still works.

It’s the perfect weight for carrying around. I love it!.

I’m a paramedic, and frequently find myself in a poorly lit setting where I need a light. I have this clipped on my radio strap, so I can turn it on and illuminate the scene hands-free. I love the two brightness settings.

The default (bright) setting is REALLY bright and is great for illuminating outdoor settings at night (like stumbling up a dark sidewalk). The whole light is really well thought out and durable – the clip is bomber, the switch is easy to operate but hard to turn on accidentally, the switch has an indicator light that lets you know its on, and the rechargeable battery is great.

Nice small light with plenty of light. Really light the angled heat, easy to wear of quickly clip to your belt when needed. Keeps your hands free when needed. Wish they mad a OD version but the yellow is hard to lose, lol.

Very good quality for a polymer light and fits in your pocket or just clip it on. One of my favorite lights for it’s size and weighs very little, easy to carry.

Havent put this through the rigors, but brightness is impressive, size and weight are good for my purposes of clipping onto a camping backpack for ready use, and it seems like good quality. I wound up buying some other Streamlight flashlights as gifts because of this one.

Very bright, clear, defined light. Love it. I bought this primarily for taking the dogs out at night to do their business, but I quickly realized how handy these would be for each vehicle in case of emergency, so I am buying more.

The functions are easy to use. It defaults to brightest light when you turn it on, then you can toggle through two lesser degrees of brightness followed by a strobe and then an SOS. You focus the light as desired simply by pushing or pulling inward/outward on the end.

These flashlights include which means I needn’t to buy extra at the first using time. The fit into their case, and the case is installed with arrow going in. I already own a also, I stalled my into the supplied sleeve and placed into the flash light.

The sleeve around the makes this flash light shake proof. This is not included, but you can find it on. Flashlight have ZOOM in and out. when zoomed all the way out it lights up the whole living room, but I zoomed in on a coffee table lamp and when you zoom in to a specific target it is even brighter!.

This is a. Surperb little flashlight. It is uncommonly bright. It’s light weight and fits comfortably in your hand. changes take about 10 seconds and don’t recall owl eyes. I see lots of Christmas presents.

The only mystery was the clear plastc tube. They sent one and I have no idea of its purpose. Great product. ******.

Overall solid flashlight body and construction, however I’ve had to return mine twice to the company to get replacements due to faulty power/program button. Good thing it is a lifetime warranty. Very bright in its brightest mode.

Will light up surprisingly far. A little big, I like that I can use regular 18650 batteries in it however they provide a special 18650 battery that is made so that only that special one will show you charge level warnings and indicator light.

If you use a regular 18650 you loose the ability to see any charge level. Other beef I have was its programing options. You have to memorize a special sequence of quick half-presses of the power button and then a longer press to change programs.

I dont have a great memory and find it too much of a hassle to quickly change a program if I want to change the order in which light intensities are sequenced. The default program will start with the brightest and then down to the lowest with strobe between, which is a bit annoying as it takes four half-button presses to get to the lowest intensity and if you make one too many you have to start over again.

I like the strobe but I would have liked the lowest setting to be the first. You cannot have it both ways. There is a program where you can have the least intense the first to come up but then the strobe option is not available.

I find the brightest intensity nice but it drains the battery very quickly. I have to economise my light usage for the day if I am to keep using the brightest function. The light gets very hot too if used for more than a minute or so.

I’ve unfortunately lost my light somehere in the plant. (I work in production maintenance). I am trying a different model and am so far very happy with it. Fenix UC35.

I purchased the Pelucan 7600 two days ago from a local dealer here in Fort Wayne called Brateman’s Inc. I debated between buying the Pelican 7600 and the SureFire Stiletto at 1,000 Lumens. I work for a World Wide Federal/State contracted Security Company.

The Pelican 7600 isca absolute must have for Any CPO, Police, Fire, EMT, TSO, or Any Public Safety or Civil Service Employee. It has a great amount of settings and it is VERY bright at 944 Lumens! The Green and Red lights are fantastic and just at a perfect leveof brightness.

Fixed lights are best and good tight beams. Flashlights with adjustable beams is usually a fixture of cheaper products and usually become faulty quickly, but not with the outstanding III Hard Anodized Materials that gives itca cool feel in the hand and makes it feel good and solid in the hand.

Well built. The 944 Lumen Fixed beam covers Everything! The light is blaring bright and the Stun Strobe at 944 Lumens it will actually stun your eyes tough for quite a while, and the biggest Green Circle in front of your eyes that you CANNOT see through sticks around for a while too.

I tested this theory. I am a big “Flashlight Lover”, and I patrol all sorts of light and pitch dark areas on my posts. The Pelican 7600 gets it done with all around best technology for the money! Sure! other companies like Surefire, Onlit, Fenix etc.

are good, but the Pelican 7600 is the “YETI” of most of them. but all things considered?. Pelican, Gets-It-Done !!.

I get my walks in at night. I’m smart about it, and very aware of my surroundings, but taking this light with me, makes me feel ready for anything—even if that just means using the lowest setting to illuminate my feet when crossing streets.

Pros: Real, real, real bright—it’s not messing around, bad guys-beware! Sits in my hand easily—thumb on or off the button Red/green light when charging and finished Cons: When you twist the flashlight for a focused beam, you expose the charging port to the elements.

Likely won’t be a huge problem for me, but for someone else, it could be. Would be nice to have a silicone plug/spacer, so no matter how you use the light, it stays waterproof. The only other down side, was that though the flashlight came with tiny holes for a wrist strap, it didn’t come with one.

I’ve made do, with a really old wrist strap from a small camera. Totally recommend this flashlight. I don’t know about how long it really lasts per charge, as I’ve only used it once or twice per walk, and keep it with me for safety sake, I’m happy with it.

This is the 1st rechargeable LED light I’ve owned. Along with the benefit of a rechargeable battery that’s also replaceable, and the spot/flood adjustment, I like that this light has 3 output levels.

The light is definitely brighter than the commonly available 3 AAA cell lights I have owned. But while I the “Turbo” setting is noticeably brighter than “high”, the manufacturer’s claim of 1800 lumen output in turbo mode seems a bit far-fetched.

Two improvements I would definitely make are: 1. Change the USB micro charging port to USB “C”. And 2. Replace the completely useless “pocket clip” with one that doesn’t immediately fail to simply hold itself onto the light.

The clip is apparently made of an alloy of the softest, most malleable metals known to man. which should be named “unmaintainium” for it’s inability to maintain it’s own shape. Seriously. I have paper clips that are much harder to bend.

I bought this flashlight for its brightness & because it can be recharged instead of buying packs of AA batteries. The flashlight has two different settings; super-bright & bright. Plus, the light can be focused from a wide-light area into a more direct light by twisting the top up & down.

However, the flashlight will not light up sometimes as if the LED bulb connection is just a hair off. And when the light does finally come on sometimes it will flicker on & off while in use, which is frustrating.

I’m not sure how to tighten the LED bulb for a better connection. But that is a huge downside for this seeming rugged flashlight, which I plan on returning for a new one.

This is a brand new light that is yet to be tested in the field by a large number of consumers. However it has many features that higher priced and better known products do not. Here are some of those features.

Battery level indicator that can be switched on and off. Switchable levels of illumination (1200 and 350 lumens). Powered by a single battery that is rechargeable without having to be removed. Lower profile (especially width) than other better known brands.

Switches are low profile in an effort to prevent snags when drawing. Lighter than other better known brands. Cheaper than other better known brands. At the present time there is a drawback in that the Fenix store does not currently carry replacement ARB-L18-1100P batteries for this light although I have been advised steps are currently being taken to acquire them.

Fenix has always produced quality products and I have no reason to think the GL19R will be an exception.

Affordable, decent output. But yet again another light ruined by useless china features no one serious would want in a weapon light. Strobe is a gimmick, you’ll only disorientate yourself as much as the person you’re attempting to.

Adjustable brightness is worthless. The USB-C rubber port is definitely a weak point, would rather just not have it. Please for the love of god at least give us the ability to program away these useless strobe/brightness features.

All you need is max output and constant/momentary in a weapon light. Everything else will only get in the way in a real situation.

I exclusively run Fenix lights. I am very tough on flashlights and Fenix has never let me down. I am a FireFighter and have out them in environments they were not designed for. I own 7 different flashlights and when they came out with weapon lights I ordered one right away.

I love the light but I wish there was more adjustment. It will not fit my P226. The switches fit to tight against the trigger guard. Hopefully Fenix will add some more adjustments such as a rail slide to accommodate different applications.

It does fit a few of my other weapons so not will get used even though it was purchased specifically for my P226.

This flashlight puts out an incredible amount of light! It can easily light an entire field and make it look as if it were daytime. The only issue with this flashlight is it gets incredibly HOT and I do mean HOT.

If you leave it on the highest sets for more than a minute it gets so hot you will actually get a red hand and your skin will sting from the heat, especially when you press the power on / off button, it really gets HOT.

Other than the heat issue this flashlight would be a perfect 5 star without a doubt. Last note, the battery life is fantastic. The highest setting (assuming you could actually hold it with how hot It gets) lasts for 45 plus minutes.

If you need to light an area and can place the flashlight in a stationary area you will have all the light you could possibly need and have plenty of time on each charge. If they could fix the heat issue this flashlight would be second to none, even with the hear issue it is still an amazing overall flashlight well-worth the price,.

I would give this torch 5 out of 5 for its capabilities and build quality. The reason that it is so amazing is also the reason that it isn’t a perfect light for everyone; it gets very hot, very quickly, when in the highest “turbo” mode.

It could literally be used to warm very cold hands in winter though, which could be a plus. The brightness is such that it would more than qualify as a tactical light – lighting areas to near daylight appearance, or in a defensive scenario, to blind or disorient an attacker long enough to make your next move.

The build is excellent, with smooth edges all around and a copper button rather than the typical plastic or rubber covered button that would usually wear out or tear with repeated use. The wrist strap is nice, thick, and I think accented with actual leather.

The relative compact size, especially for this amount of power, makes it very handy so you can also hold other items – possibly other tactical items – at the same time; you can carry it easily enough without being overencumbered.

This compactness is one of the reasons that it will run so hot at the higher settings, with less surface area to disperse heat. The run time is actually stated to be fairly long since the handle holds two of the biggest and highest capacity torch batteries available, although I wouldn’t want to time it on turbo mode and push the led, the electronics and batteries to their limits.

All-in-all one of the most powerful lights for its size that you’re likely to find, especially at this price. or any price possibly. It definitely will be the perfect light for some people, and a good thing to have on hand “just in case” for the rest of us.

I live on 10 acres and needed the ability to see at at long range for beers or mountain lions at night. I opted for this model vs the other that had spot and flood option. I needed as much power as possible and this flashlight really lasts for 1 hour 45 minutes at highest setting of 10K lumens! This does get very hot to hold after a while so I limit the time I use it at the highest setting.

But Lord have mercy! This thing lights up the night like nobody’s business! I can look through the woods for predictors before I leave the porch. This definitely has long range! If you love gadgets as much as I do, this is it.

I wouldn’t be without this if I was going on an outdoor excursion trip! Absolutely love it, if you can’t tell.

Another great light from Streamlight. This light is small and compact enough for everyday carry, it is just barely larger in diameter then a quarter (see picture). The pocket clip hold tight and doubles as a head light, you can clip it on the bill of your hat without having to remove the clip from the light (see pictures).

Great design on the clip A++. I have other brands of lights that will do that, but you have to remove the clip and filp it which it usually not easy and definitely not convenient. This light is vary bright as you can see in the picture and that tree is 50+ yards away.

It was pitch black out when the picture was taken. The pictures were taken with my Galaxy Note 20 ultra and it was not in night mode. Camera settings were set to default so no extra enhancements. I will be buying more of these lights.

I think this is the BEST LIGHT FOR THE MONEY HANDS DOWN. I purchased model PROTAC 2L-X 88062 500 Lumens, this model comes with 2 CR123A batteries. You can also use one 18650 which I will be purchasing the Streamlight 18650 batteries since they have a micro USB port bulit in to them so no special charger needed.

Streamlight also offers a version of the PROTAC 2L-X that has a micro USB port built in to the light for when using rechargeable batteries you don’t have to remove them from the light to charge them.

Bought for swat use. Normally use Streamlight Protac HL on patrol. 2LX is smaller but still provides great light output. Perfect for what I need and fits perfectly in HSGI pistol mag taco. Can’t comment on battery life yet but I did get the rechargeable batteries and I keep one with me when I have the light.

Very nice well made tactical light that fits well in your pocket. Bright enough for general use on low and quite bright on high. But designed as a tactical light and not as a general purpose light. The Streamlight Poly Tac X which sells for about the same price offers an additional very useful 250 lumen mode with a good run time.

Both lights incorporate Streamlights 10 tap technology for changing the way the light operates. Recommend getting the light that comes with the Streamlight rechargeable battery which includes a charging cable when bundled with the light.

Own both lights and have no problem recommending them.

I have 6 wonderful cats. My one cat older and starting to pee outside of the litter box. I initially purchased the CU6 in order to find cat urine. Shipment and delivery was fast and painless. Products were neatly organized in the box.

Popped the battery on the charger and waited for it to charge. 3 glasses of wine and an hour later the battery was charged up. My boyfriend and I were ready to enter a magical fun world where all the neon colors lit up magnificent colors.

We popped the battery in, turned it on, and switched to UV mode. What the CU6 revealed to us was in fact not a fun, magical world, it was a scene from the darkest nightmares. Spots and splatters lit up the floors and walls with the force of 1000 suns.

I now spend every night going around my house in the dark at all hours of the night drinking wine while shining the CU6 around in order to find, clean, and sanitize any dirty spots on our walls that I can find and it is going to be the death of me.

I was on the lookout for a quality torch, which had a decent runtime, variable brightness, and if possible, various colours. Beyond using it in my Extended Everyday Carry (ie: Carrying it with me on my daily commute, in the car etc, rather than in my pocket), I needed a decent light for when I’m attending multi-day whale stranding responses, where a long battery life, good brightness and red or green lights for preserving night vision would all be useful.

I had initially considered the MH27UV multispectrum, as the idea of recharging via USB appealed, and such a feature on the SRT7GT would make this flashlight close to perfect for my needs, however I purchased some USB rechargeable 18650s, which is probably a better solution for me.

The SRT7GT caught my attention with its selector ring to switch between modes – I find it difficult and fiddly to remember keypress sequences. Plus it had good specifications in regards to ruggedness and water resistance.

This torch has a decent heft to it, and appears to be well built. It is a little bit heavy and large for me to carry on my belt. The white light’s infinitely variable brightness, via the selector switch, is brilliant, ensuring I use the most appropriate brightness level according to the situation.

I would prefer the red light to be a little brighter, and tend to favour the green for when I need to preserve night vision. The red, green and blue beams are not very smooth, if that’s important to you, given their location on the reflector.

The white beam is also not super smooth either, but I’m happy with this compromise. The blue light and the red/blue strobe are features I haven’t used much, and probably won’t use, although the UV light is useful for forensic document checking – especially banknotes – on the go.

Strobe and beacon modes round off this flashlight’s features. The strobe is a feature I hope I don’t have to use.

I’ve had this light high on my wish list for almost seven years now and finally got one. First the good: It’s robust, feels great in the hand, it’s loaded with features and the selector ring is a joy to use.

The issues: Quality control is a little lax. The emitter in my light is not centered. The bores for the colored LEDs are not smooth around the edges and beam pattern is ripply. The selector ring sometimes glitches and lags behind the input.

Sometimes the battery indicator light flashes when turning the light off, and using CR123 batteries makes the battery indicator flash constantly. The biggest issue of all: It doesn’t actually put out 1000 lumens on high.

It falls about 15% short of my 1000-lumen Fenix light. Many other owners have reported the same shortcoming. You can’t tell with the naked eye, but it is a little disappointing nonetheless. Overall, I’m extremely happy I finally own one and I use it all the time just because I can.

Bought this flashlight and love it ! Great size and puts out a great amount of light. Easy to use a great product. Highly suggest. Order and delivery was great as well.

Been using this LED flashlight for 2 years now on the docks of Puget Sound. Its been great during the squid season. It been in rain, snow, and even dropped into saltwater. It always works.

This light is super bright, use it for camping. Only thing I would change is having to to hold the button down for the brightest setting.

I ordered these in February and they didn’t work. I notified the appropriate source but never got a response. I have been unable to use them — I couldn’t even get them to turn on. I got sick with Covid-19 for a month and wasn’t able to continue following up.

I’m on a limited budget and can’t afford to waste $38. Tell me what my options are. I’d like to return them.

I purchased this flashlight for my husband. I have a small one I like to keep on my nightstand, but when I need it it’s never there. When we received it my husband checked all of the features it has and was really impressed with all it does.

This would make a great gift for for anyone. My daughter has been doing a few things around her apartment and this would be nice for her to have in her tool box. I will be telling my friends about this.

Great flashlight.

I have this flashlight and several others. My job takes me into places with a complete absence of light and this one is the best balance of brightness and size. I have brighter lights but they are harder to carry and take three or six of the 18650 batteries.

The long battery life is a nice bonus on this light. I get more life out of one battery than I got from my previous light that had three. The previous light was brighter but it was cumbersome. I recommend getting a high quality 18650 battery and charger if you’re going to use it a lot.

Very few people will need a brighter light than this one. I carry this light on the job every day.

As a property inspector, I have used this flashlight daily since it was introduce. I have to say it’s the best by far. Three light intensities and very bright on high, it is indispensable. Had a seller “misplace” my light a few weeks ago and ordered another that afternoon.

Wouldn’t use anything else.

This LED flashlight is a very durable feeling flashlight very comfortable in the hand. And very bright! Ordered her Christmas came without any delay as promised. The most important thing product is as expected.

Ive carried a streamlignt for years. I switched to this because it lays flatter in my pocket and the clip is a much better design to fit over pockets with a thicker ridge. It has multiple brightness levels and is rechargeable.

Its a surefire so you will pay for their name.

This light is great. It’s easy to use. The brightness and spread is impressive. It feels extremely rugged and isn’t too heavy to carry. For a large light it charges quickly. If you’re looking for a larger light that can take a beating this is for you.

Very bright light with impressive beam distance. however I had issues with the size and using the buttons. for everyday patrol use the light is a it large. the buttons are small and close together and I am not a fan of having to do a “long push” to activate a flashlight, I am also not a fan of having so many power options or levels.

that being said the light is solid balanced and powerful.

This pen light is not super bright. But sometimes a super bright light is just too much. I actually use mine every night in my hallway to get my keys in the door. Plus when walking my dog I use it. Pretty much anytime that I dont want a thousand Lux flashlight, I grab this one.

It charges pretty fast. The battery lasts quite a long time for such a small package. My only wish is that I wish it were a little more durable. But overall I am glad that I bought it. If something happened to it I would buy another one to replace it.
