Okay, so I’m a huge Rick Riordan fan. I love the Percy Jackson books and have read them multiple times each. But now, I don’t know what he’s doing! The book is still good, don’t get me wrong. But honestly I think the only reason he’s doing this is that his publisher wants some more money because of how well Percy Jackson was executed.

Problems? -The characters are repeating themselves from the PJO series, and it seems the rules don’t apply to them (as in the age you usually show up at Camp Half Blood, or the usual personality that applies to each Demigod from their godly parent) -The plot itself is repeating the PJO series, just longer, blander, and more stretched out.

-It’s so rushed at the most important times! The writing almost seems careless. I know he’s writing two 500 page books a year right now (the Kane Chronicles being the other) but the standards of his books have fallen and the entire idea is getting sloppy.

-Suddenly, the old characters from the PJO books don’t exactly care anymore. And that’s not like them. They remained strong through the PJO books and now they don’t care if a bunch of dunderheads (the main characters in this book) are attempting to save the world.

The book was still entertaining and I laughed occasionally. I’m planning on buying the next one in the series, The Son of Neptune, just because Percy’s going to be back in that one. Hopefully you’ll like this more than I did.

Product was shipped later than the noted 7-10 business days. No status change for almost 2 weeks. No email informing the customer on what may have happened. When a customer support request was sent, there was no answer until more than 2 weeks after the package had been sent.

When customer support via chat was requested, support simply said there was likely a delay with no apology or further details. Customer support is very poor overall. No wonder your Facebook page is littered with complaints.

Shipping was fortunately fast thanks to Australia Post. One of the books had a slight dent due to tight packaging. Packaging is supposed to prevent these, not cause them. You may want to retrain those who pack these books so that proper packaging is done.

Overall I am satisfied but very disappointed. I will recommend booktopia primarily because you have the books I know are being sought by my friends. However I will warn them of your delays and useless customer service.

McRaven has a way of making the reader understand that heroes aren’t born that way, and everyone has the capacity for being a hero, at som time, to some one. And that some people rise to positions that give them more opportunities to be a real life hero.

All they have to do to prepare themselves is to follow the honor code. Everyone from ten to sixty should read this book. It keeps the fires of hope alive.

I have 22-year-old twins that love Harry Potter! I surprise them with the first edition and they fell in love saying it is the most beautiful books they own to date. That means a lot for my one daughter works for the DEA and my other daughter is studying library science.

The book was AWESOME!!! I couldn’t put it down. I started to read it in the mall after I bought it. It was very informative it told me a lot more of Zak Bagand that I didn’t know. Hope he writes another.

A great read for any Ghost Adventure and/or Zak Bagans fan. If you’re looking for more ghost hunting information he appears to have decided he covered that in his first book and made this one mostly personal.

Great book with many tales from decades ago compelling. Giant hardback with 8 1/2 by 11 pages is different. Extremely well packaged in box with cushioning

I got this book as a present for my brother who loves ghosts and ghost sightings. I looked through it before I gave it to him and was disappointed to not see really any ghost pictures like described.

The book is also a LOT bigger than it looks, with tiny font. Meaning lots and lots of reading. This can be good or bad, but the likelihood of anyone reading it all, especially my 14 year old brother, is not very high.

Overall, it was a good deal for such a large book. I’m not sure about the content of the book since I didn’t read it, but the pictures were a disappointment.

This seller is very good to deal with. The book reads like a big bible on the history of ghost. I am not disapointed. It holds storys from many diffrent people through out history ranging from the personal to the scientific.

Lots of facts. Also good for those just intrested in history.

I am really enjoying this book! I haven’t finished it yet, but it will be a book that I am able to finish. I saw one reveiw saying it was really long with small type, they should try reading “Ghosts: True encounters with the world beyond” by Hans Holzer.

That book is about 758 pages long (compared to 568 pages in this one), larger in diameter and much smaller writing. I only made it half way through that book and don’t recommend it to most. “Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits, and Haunted Places” by Brad Steiger is broken down into several chapters which are then broken down into several short stories.

This is great for people like me who read before bed or get easily distracted. Some of the stores are odd and others quite amusing. I would say it is rated PG-13 since there is some bad language. If you like reading about “true” hauntings then I would highly recommend this book.

Just one of many books on the paranormal subject, this is a good book to have on the shelf. Ghosts aren’t the only thing in this book, though. A few other subjects are touched on, such as “shadow beings”, spirit messages from the other side, and much more.

Full of photographs and an index for further research, this book is filled with first hand accounts and is something you will enjoy, especially if you have had experiences with the paranormal!.

Great Hardcover Book. Well Package.

As a big horror movie fan, I found that Ed & Lorraine Warren portrayed in The Conjuring movies were real people! After a bit of research I found that they had written a series of books. After purchasing THE HAUNTED, I found that I could not put it down, which is weird for me as I don’t read a lot at all and haven’t done in years.

This book was super creepy, made more creepy given the fact it is a true story. After reading The Haunted, I proceeded to purchase other titles by the Warrens including “SATAN’S HARVEST” and “GHOST HUNTERS”.

I’ve now read SATAN’S HARVEST and am now a few chapters into GHOST HUNTERS. Though they have both been good books, I still believe THE HAUNTED to be the best read so far. Keen to purchase “WEREWOLF”, “IN A DARK PLACE” and “GRAVEYARD” now.

As someone who doesn’t read much at all, it has been good to find something that holds my attention and has me engrossed from start to finish. THE HAUNTED = A+.

This book is the true story of the Smurl family who suffered continuously in a haunted house. The worst part is that it took so long for them to be rid of the demon. There were “demonologists” who were called to help but the Smurls did not require obsevation or analysis, they needed deliverance.

It is a good warning to those people who may be tempted to indulge in occult or New Age activities of what can happen by opening the door to evil spirits. Not that the Smurl family were noted in the book to have done these things.

What they could have benefitted from would have been a Christian gentleman such as Arthur Neil who cast out 47 demons from Doreen Irvine in the book Freed From Withcraft.

Very good book. Very interesting.

I guess Lego is too busy with their marketing and packaging these days to bother putting which devices this is compatible with on the side of the box. We bought it in the store thinking oh sure, I have several Samsung devices, so it should be compatible with one of them.

It’s not. Like so many “fantastic ideas” that reach the boardroom, nobody with working-class sense thought this through. Someone decided to put this out without thinking for a second that not everyone cares to have the latest and greatest (and most expensive) Samsung device, which probably carries the latest and greatest android OS.

The same is true for Apple. We have an iPad Mini (iOS is 12. 4) and guess what? Nowhere does it say that it’s even compatible with any version of the mini. You can bet we’ll be returning this to the store.

What a waste of time and money. Don’t buy any of the Hidden Side products until you check the compatibility. You’ve been warned.

This is my only hidden side set, but a excellent starter! Normally I build a set overly fast, instead of 1 hour I do it in 6 minutes or so. But this set is so good I slowed down and really had fun building! Beware, not all devices are compatible, I had to borrow my Dad’s iPad.

I think that a phone might work better though, the iPad my dad has is MASSIVE so it’s hard to move around into obscure spots. As for the minifigures they were cool, none of them exclusive but if you plan on getting just one set this has most of the important ones.

The set itself is super fun (have I said that before?) it has a fridge with a something, a pizza, ew, cold pizza! the colours are good looking as well, in a few years maybe less the white will eventually yellow but such is life.

So if you have $28 or so BUY THIS NOW!.

Purchased this item online at a great price. Chose ‘Click & Collect’ option which was a very smooth experience. Its a pity that my nearest Target store is closing down and that more Hidden Side Lego is not readily available.

I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t warn parents about a subject in this book. The other books in the series as well as this author’s previous series have been fine for children. But this book has a section about some of the main characters and homosexuality.

I don’t understand why the author felt the need to include it as the plot is sufficient without it. I suppose he is trying to get his political agenda across to children. Just beware that you might not want your younger child reading this book.

I let mine read it without knowing that there was a section on homosexuals in it. I wish there had been a warning on the cover so that I didn’t allow my child to continue what had once been an appropriate series.

I see parents have been calling this book a book unfit for children because it has homosexual characters in it. Just what about homosexuality is an adult theme? Is love between the same sex not love at all? This book is fine with or without this subject; it’s not a reason to withhold this book from your children.

Homosexuality doesn’t make this book inappropriate. House of Hades was an excellent book in this popular series and that small section in the book does not make this any less enjoyable for children.

I had already read the Rick Riordan series and wanted it for my book shelf. These books are normally 20 dollars; but a used copy for just under 4 dollars? A great deal! Came in good condition. But no dusk jacket.

But besides that very work the buy!.

I wasn’t sure if this would be a hit or not, but my son loves Dan TDM. This toy is the perfect size, not too small, and my son loved the accessories! It says for ages 8 and up, but my son is 6 and loves it.

Definitely a hit in our house. I could see this appealing to children from ages 5 and up, but due to the smaller accessories, not for children who still put objects in their mouths. The price was also about right for the quality of items.

This product is a bit pricey for the size and quality. However, my son loved TDM, so I splurged. It is the same quality and size as the Minecraft figures. If you have a toy destroyer llike mine, the arms and limbs can easily be pulled off and popped back on.

That is, if you can find them. They are very small.

I bought this twice. The first time it came broken. After returning it and ordering it again it came quickly and in perfect condition. This is a Christmas present for my son so he has not played with it yet but I know he will be very happy.

This is a mildly fun little toy. It has a pink and white color scheme, and I think this iteration of “Spidey” was a girl, but you can’t really tell because Spidey is completely covered and can’t see their face.

The copter and motorcycle part is a fun thing to switch around. It’s not easy for little kids to intuit how to click the transforming parts into place, though. One annoying thing about the toy is that the Spidey figure doesn’t really stay in the driver’s seat well at all.

It’s clunky and too big and falls over. Just seems like the designer could have done better to make sure the action figure stayed in their vehicle. Overall, I would have like to have seen more “transforming” or moving parts to make it more interesting and not so clunky.

Superheroes are something my kids always have great imaginative play with and never seem to outgrow. Marvel’s Spidey Change ‘N Go Ghost- Copter is no exception. This toy is made of sturdy plastic with bright eye catching details.

My 6 year old had no problems changing the toy from helicopter to motorcycle mode. He loved that the Ghost-Spider is a bendable figure that can stand or ride in the machine. He played with it for over an hour straight out of the package and since then has introduced it to all his superhero friends.

This change and go ghost cooter is as described. The figure is perfect for little hands to carry around. The copter is neat. It goes from a helicopter to a little hover board. It is easy enough for toddlers to change up themselves.

They made help just snapping it in place. For any kid who loves spider man this ghost spider is spot on. It did not hold my sons attention for very long. I think just because it’s so basic. Definitely something kids can okay with insides and outside.

My grandson absolutely loved this set of books. It has been difficult to get him interested in reading but these books have done the trick, he loves them. Would highly recommend!

Book is well made and tightly bound. I also like the gray cloth ribbon marker inside. makes the book extra special. My husband and I grab a glass of wine and read one short story out loud in front of a crackling fire on chilly evenings.

Stories read so far have been excellent.

Renown British author of ghost stories, here has a gathered collection. This used paperback presents most of his works. Not the gaudy special effects gore of today’s horror movies, this is older, spooky Gothic writing in which the tension and horrible mystery builds in apparently normal British settings.

Libraries and village inns will never feel the same after reading these stories, which are recommended for adult reading a couple at a time. Shiver and enjoy.

Very hard to get into the stories. Have come very close to chucking it out. Just over half way thru. As yet haven’t reached a decent story….

Well done game. They don’t make games like these anymore. It is simple but very trained the way they do the puzzles. The story of the game is somewhat different from the Disney movie on which it is based.

I played this game originally on the first Xbox a few years ago and enjoyed it ’till the end. I found it doesn’t follow the movie, and that’s a good thing actually. The puzzles aren’t so hard you can’t figure them out, yet there’s some challenge to the game.

The voice-overs and animation are fairly good and are consistent with the game’s content, and the game-play experience keeps you playing ’till the end. The controls and layout of the graphical user interfaces in the game are well-done, and simple enough for a beginner, yet functional enough for a pro gamer.

This game was all-around fun with some good humor and “make you jump” moments if you’re using headphones etc. It’s not as dark as you may think, being a Disney-backed title, but it’s a good g-rated “haunted house” experience.

Got this for my mom who is a huge fan of anything haunted mansion. It had all the haunted mansion elements you know and love but with a totally separate story from the ride and movie so it was very compelling to play and watch.

It has lots of challenging puzzles but can be completed in a few days. She loved it and plans on replaying the game every year.

She is super cute and spooky! She has the coolest blue skin tone! Her right arm is a little looser than I’d like, but it’s not a big issue. The tip of her nose collects color, like if you rub her face on something, but that’s not a big issue either.

Her hair is long and very well made! The light pink portion is made of a different fiber. I think the pink is kanekalon hair (what is used in older barbies) and nylon (that is used in most other dolls, specifically my little pony G4).

Her accessories are adorable! They are covered in little faces! Some of the detail are hard to see, but that makes it super fun to paint! Kiyomi’s stand is a little loose, but most stands are. I just put a little hot glue in and it was fixed!I would definitely recommend this product to toy collectors, customizers, or lovers of the spook!.

I couldn’t believe I found Kiyomi after Black Friday! My sister specifically asked for this doll for Christmas, and after looking at it, I could see why. I like how she has almost no face (that kind of thing always gives me the good creeps), and I am as satisfied now as I was when I bought her her very first Monster High two years ago.

The outfit alone is pretty impressive! I love the details, specifically the translucent shoes – that was very creative. Once again, the Monster High brand and Mattel have failed to disappoint me! I would recommend any Monster High product for any friend who asks me about it, but I would especially recommend this doll.

I was hoping to be able to give this 5 stars all the way across. Looking at it for what it is though, It has its flaws such as: Game play; Super fun to play and random. My group enjoyed this game after game.

With that said, we played a few of the haunts and the rules were not exactly clear. They had issues on bringing out values and what is supposed to happen. More proofreading was definitely needed. Quality; The tokens themselves feel a little cheap.

they are flimsy and if you punch out a token without extreme care then it will most likely rip. The player tiles are very nice and detailed but the sliders are extremely tight and have a good chance of marking up and tearing the tiles they are placed on.

Price: It has miniatures. Other than that, the game could be a better value or at least upgrade quality of rules and components. Value: Great for players that love D&D, Humor, Randomness, Dice Throwing and the original Betrayal.

It is super fun to play but again, quality and rules get in the way. Overall, my group loves this game as do I and have enough capacity to get past these flaws and usually get a good laugh out of most of them.

We really enjoy this one and it will make its way to the table fairly often!.

One of my all time favs! An awesome take on Betrayal at the house on the hill with a very fun fantasy theme. I personally like this version better than the original and the couple of slight changes they made to the rules make the game much smoother and less complicated to play.

There are 50 different story scenarios so it will take a lot of time to get through them all. This game is one of the best values in board games I have ever scene. Less than $40 and TONS of replay value and each game only lasts about an hour which is perfect.

The flavor text they add to all the cards and the back stories of the characters is awesome. Easy to pick up and play as the overall instructions and play style are not very hard to learn. Also with all the different tiles that make up the board of the game, no two games will ever play out the same way.

As a fan of both the Betrayal series and Dungeons and Dragons, I was extremely pleased with this edition. There is enough different from “Betrayal” to keep it interesting and makes it feel like a completely different game.

I think that there is a learning curve when it comes to hero selection and unique abilities (not one of our adventurers used theirs even once,) but that comes with playing any new game. I am excited to give this game many more play-throughs, and explore the rich world of Baldur’s Gate.
