20 Best Heavy Duty Industrial Degreaser (2023 Updated)

Finally a strong Heavy-Duty cleaning product. Works as advertised to remove grease, sticky/gummy residues and more. The chart on the bottle allows you to dial the strength of the product, allowing you to use more or less depending on what you are cleaning.

In my case, the lowest strength in the chart is still stronger than what I need for some tasks. You can also use it undiluted for soaking ultra dirty equipment, making scrubbing much easier.

I love Simple Green products. The Pro Heavy-Duty cleaner meets all of my toughest cleaning requirements and it is an excellent degreaser. I have used it both at full strength and diluted. It is a superior topical cleaner but I used it most often to soak rusted and dirty tools.

When it is on sale I usually grab 2 bottles. It is great value for your money.

I used it to clean mildew and dust from our decks – worked great – my deck came back like new! My deck is 2×6 pressure treated brown tone. I finished it with Thompson Water Seal Plus – clear. Our decks look fantastic as well as protected from the elements.

This citrus version doesn’t work near as well as the regular Zep formula, and the smell is pungent and lingers. We usually use the purple formula for garage cleanup and to pre-treat my husband’s railroad clothes before washing them, and it works really well, but TSC was out of the purple, so we tried this one.

Awful is an understatement. Not only did it clean only half as well as the purple, but the smell intensifies if you put it on a wet rag or when clothes pre-treated with it are washed. When he washed his laundry, the whole house filled with the smell, and even after heavy washing and an extra rinse, the smell lingered.

He dried his clothes after washing, and when he wore them, you could not smell fabric softener, his clothes smelled like nothing but the citrus Zep. When using it in the garage, we had to open all 3 windows and the back door, and it was a full 24 hours before the smell had dissipated enough to be in it for any length of time.

Picture was for regular citrus cleaner. NOT the degreaser. I wanted the normal cleaner, and could have purchased it for over $5. 00 less elsewhere if I had of know it was coming as the cleaner AND degreaser variety.

Not happy with this purchase! On top of that the box was destroyed on the bottom! Not sure how the item was ok, but it was. Really wasn’t packaged well I guess.

If you watch TR Bowlin’s youtube video about treating your rv black and gray tanks, you will understand the science behind it. For a gray tank fill it one third water, two cups of this, and half a cup of borax.

For your black tank, fill it a 3rd full, add a half a cup of borax and a half a cup of Dawn soap. My RV SMELLS GOOD. Thanks again TR Bowlin!.

Omg this stuff is amazing! Used it on my kids car upholstery and it cleaned it like nobody’s business. Let it soak for a few minutes then go back with a wet/dry vacuum and seats looked good as new! Works so good on my stove top also! It worked so good I bought another big bottle!!! I should have taken before and after pictures but I wasn’t expecting it to work as good as it did.

This stuff is incredible. We bought a flip house; prior to our ownership, the home had several renters that destroyed the property. This stuff saved us about $5k because we were able to salvage most of the kitchen cabinets.

The only degreaser I will ever buy again.

OMG!!! YOU’VE GOT TO TRY THIS! Boyfriends white refrigerator was separated from the cooking stove by a lower kitchen cabinet so after several years of neglect the side of the fridge was a greasy, grimy mess! So id bought the Zep Fast Degreaser spray and sprayed it on once waited a couple of minutes and wiped -my heavens this thing really worked! Sprayed it again on the thickest grease and wiped again and there was no grease left -even boyfriend was impressed.

It did not affect the white finish of the fridge at all. Sprayed some on a big round “splatter screen” that goes over a frying pan and it worked a miracle! Buying another bottle for my own place.

I used Simple Green to clean the coils on my home outside AC unit coils. I wet the coils sprayed the coils, then rinsed them off. Works like a charm, cleaned the coils, left no residue. Also works nicely on the inside of my white fiberglass boat! Remove stains and smells good too!.

I give Simple Green All purpose Cleaner a 10 out of 10 because I cannot give it any higher. I would choose Simple Green All purpose Cleaner any time I need a product that can clean even the grimiest of things with ease.

We were moving from the old house to this one, and had to have it totally spotless, the garage included, and at the time that seemed impossible to do, because there were set in stains on the counters and in the garage from oil leaking from the car.

Well, I used Simple Green All purpose Cleaner on the counters, spraying it and leaving it there for about half an hour, and then wiped it all clean with a damp sponge and the stain was totally gone! Like it had never been there.

Imagine my shock when I thought to myself, “I wonder if this will work on set in oil stains as well. ” So I took it to the garage, sprayed it all over the spill till it was saturated into the concrete and puddling up over top of it, and then left it for a couple hours.

I came back later that day before the kids got home from school and took the hose to the garage, to wash the Simple Green All purpose Cleaner off the ground and out the garage door, and lo and behold, the stain from the oil leak was gone too.

Never before have I seen a product that works even half as well as Simple Green All purpose Cleaner at cleaning any surface in my home, and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing for a multipurpose cleaner so as to save time and money.

The product is good and degreases quite well, it smells good and has a citrus aroma. ✅👍🏼🍊✨ **But I think it has too much dye, or whatever they put on it, I have cleaned it with clear rags and it has stained all colors orange.

I liked working with this product. I was cleaning shopping carts and I noticed how it loosened the dirt and left the carts shiny and clean. Not being a super harsh chemical was a big plus.

The description is misleading. I did not receive a pack of 4. I only received 1 bottle. I would not have purchased this if I knew I would only get 1.

I’m not sure this is the same Purple Power I remember. I bought this mainly for the spray bottle, so I can use a gallon for mixing future batches. It doesn’t smell quite like I remember, and doesn’t leave the soapy film on your hands that was impossible to get off like I remember, or burn your hands.

I have a sinking feeling this “concentrated” version is actually like a 30% reduced version of the one I remember. That’s my interpretation only, I can’t prove that. It makes sense, as we used to dilute it down anyway cause it was so strong.

We would go from straight dark purple to lavender, and the lavender would still clean like crazy. I still have a little vintage in a gallon jug, and another spray bottle that’s white plastic that I dropped and cracked the head, that’s almost empty, that I’ll compare this to.

I’ll update if it isn’t the same.

This is THEE most effective product I’ve ever used…grease in particular ! On the refrigerator , on the floor …I’m almost afraid to use it on some items for fear it will eat up the the surface…. but ihave used it every where and would recommend it to anyone looking for taking care of a tough product!.

Item came quickly but was 2 out of 3 bottles were broken and had leaked inside the bag. Product works great for degreasing and price is good. It needs to be packed better in order to avoid broken items.

Seen on Facebook a gal recommended this stuff for heavy duty cleaning so I wanted to try it. I was put off by the cost because it is far from cheap but I went for it anyway. I am happy I did. I cleaned my shower surround and started on a bathroom cabinet that I was considering tossing in the trash.

WOW did this stuff come thru! I used it in the straight form without diluting it as it recommends. It cleaned it easily. Very impressed. If thinking of buying~ go for it. For less tuff jobs you can dilute this stuff and it will last you a good long time.

1st clean test: Dawn Degreaser has a lite clean scent. Today I have cleaned the embedded hair dye splatter stains bathroom walls, door & granite trimming surrounded mirror. Dawn Degreaser has a lite clean scent.

Not overpowering. I use membermark disposable latex gloves. 2nd clean test: The milk frother was left on and scalded the cup bottom. Luckily, I sprayed about an ounce into the bottom of the stainless steel frother.

Allowed Dawn Degreaser HD liquid to sit inside and absorb the charred burnt scalded creamer. About 1. 5 – 2hrs later, the charred burnt scraped off with a plastic pot scraper. I did not do a lot of scrubbing.

Just easily scrapping the burnt scald back to a stainless steel shine. With a degreaser, one must be patient and allow the agent to work for you; not you work for the Degreasing agent:). 3rd clean test: Stone Flooring scuff marks from rubber.

I used a spray bottle mixed with water: about 4. 5:1. Scuff marks disappeared with ease. Spray to moistened, then mopped with a clean bucket of warm rinse water. I did not pour the solution inside the bucket at any time.

4th clean Test: Cleaned the Breville Air Convection Oven walls, light, and window. Cleaned beautifully. One must use one cleaning rag, one rinsing rag, and one drying/buffer cloth. There will not be any problems.

Cleaned the burners also which had baked on spatters from Air frying and Broiling. The drip pan splatter spots were easily removed. Again hardly any aggressive scrubbing compared with oven cleaner. 5th Test: Wax (skin wax and candle wax).

Cleaned skin wax from granite vanity countertop. Total time: about 25-30minutes for shiny granite (2 inch thick). Cleaned wax splatters from the mirror; (superfast about 5-8minutes). Candle wax from carpet: ( In the past, WD-40 only removed small pieces).

Dawn degreaser removed the major chunks of melted wax from medium thread carpet after all this time! 6th Test: Last but not least; Garage floor grease and baked on grime from freezer defrost. Used a spray bottle and the same solution above (not full strength).

Applied and the degreaser started bubbling on the grease/grime stain. It started to work so fast, I had to run and get an old rag to remove it quickly.

This stuff works wonders for cleaning up automotive oils and grease. Brake cleaner is too expensive to use on every oil spill, and it’s only really effective when used immediately. This Zep degreaser is super affordable and works great to strip the garage floor of any traces of oil or grease.

Works especially well on those old and stubborn spots of black chassis grease that solvents just don’t seem to clean. It’s a degreaser, not a solvent or general-purpose cleaner, so it doesn’t work well on caked-on dirt the way that brake clean or paint thinner do.

Highly recommend buying the concentrated jug and mixing your own solution. Just make sure to wear gloves when handling the concentrate as it’s VERY caustic.

One of the best products on the market, and one of the best priced solutions as well. This stuff can strip a concrete floor of thick oil and grease with ease. Extremely effective against nicotine as well.

I have used this chemical in a Tennant T12 auto scrubber on “clean” epoxy concrete floors and it was able to get them noticeably cleaner (floor was brighter, since it was pulling stubborn grease out of the floor).

Completely and totally useless cleaner. Bought it for the garage. Try to clean up the garage floor. No-Go!!! Doesn’t do a darn thing for cleaning even when you mix it string according to directions. This may be better suited for household tasks.

Not garage tasks.

Wanted to remove baked on grease, when oven cleaner didn’t work. Super Clean used to make a spay-gel that was to stay on vertical surfaces, but I couldn’t find it. So I tried Purple power. It was. Perfect on horizontal surface.

24 hours & 1 wipe & clean. Still had to scour the horizontal surfaces. Cheaper than Super Clean but just as good.

I have used this cleaner a few times already. I like the way it breaks down grease an d oil spills. recently had a 80-00 weight oil spill om kitchen floor as the squirt bottle tipped over. Had used what I already had on hand but needed more as the spill was at least 6 feet long.

After thoroughly soaking and let stand for about 15 minutes the cleanup with old rags was made easy. there was no oil residue left. I also used this to clean up the of oil and gas build up on my lawn mower as i w as going to do some engine repairs.

It cut right through the gunk and then i was able to repair the engine. great stuff. Spray bottle fits the hand nice.

Awesome product! Low fragrance. Clean scent. Removed the yellow grease from lacquered painted Walls and sides of Deep Freezer. Cleaned the Deep freezer of old popsicle, blood dripping from Venison/Beef packs.

Cleaned older mildew stains then disinfected. I have only applied by spray bottle, then used the appropriate micro fibered cleaning rag, then used hot water from the hot hose (100-degree weather) in a bucket to rinse all areas using a clean Rinse Rag.

With a spray bottle including the PURPLE POWER: Cleaned the old yellow splatter spots on the stove hood and backsplash wall with ease. Very little PP solution is needed if you have a mild-moderate splatter of yellow hardened grease.

After cleaning, I dumped the rinse water bucket. Add 1 cup of White Vinegar and 1/2 cup of baking soda to soak my cleaning rags before laundering.

I struggled for many years with keeping my bathtub clean. With 4 sons and a husband in the house, it seemed that when I wanted to take a long, hot, soak in the tub, I had to be prepared to spend 30 minutes scrubbing the tub.

I love all zep products, but this one has to by my all time favorite, my MVP! This product practically does the work for you, which means no scrubbing hardcore and no breaking a sweat! I most like the foaming spray that they use, it gets into those tough to reach spots and all you have to do is wait a couple minutes for the foam to break down all the grease and crusted on icky stuff! This product lives up to its acclamation and does exactly what it says it will do! I definitely recommend this product to those who have tough cleaning spots or just every day use!.

I used this Heavy duty foaming degreaser on my very grease covered kettle style popcorn maker , and it took the old stuck on oil off of the metal surface. (Not to be used on painted surface). I also used it on my barbeque grill and the foam really stays on to the vertical surface well.

I had to very lightly scrub to get the heavy grime off because it had been a long time since it had been cleaned. Very happy with the results. The people at Zep sent me a can to try and to review, would purchase it for sure.

I bought this product at Lowes after reading a few reviews. At first I was a little disappointed but after a few minutes it started working it’s “magic”. I degreased a disassembled chevy 350 engine with over 270,000 miles.

The oil and carbon was caked to the engine parts. After several hours of soaking the parts looked like new. Until I found this product I didn’t think there was a truly commercial grade cleaner available to the public.

I used this mixed 50/50 on a combination of things in the garage where people smoked. One neighbor told me that these items would never come clean again and to just toss them. Filled a 5 gallon garden sprayer.

sprayed it on and then sprayed it off with the hose. No scrubbing needed. Years of tar and nicotine just washed away. I challenge anyone to find a product that works this well!.

Works great to clean just about anything. Great for cleaning kitchen cabinets and counters, greasy stoves, hood filters (just let it soak awhile then rinse the grease away). Walls, floors, garage concrete, driveways.

Wash the exterior of your house. I wash my cars, trucks, & buses, with it. Spray it on your trucks motor and it will remove the grease and oil. The best all around cleaners I have ever found.

I bought this on a whim some time ago, and it really, really works. It’s so rewarding to literally watch as the grease lifts off vent hood filters when I immerse them in the solution, and much better than the overnight soak in dish detergent they used to get.

Recently used it to clean my oven racks, which had caked on grease from over a year of semi-weekly rounds of baking four pounds of bacon. Dropped it in my kitchen farm sink, and the vast majority came off easily (needed more scrubbing than I wanted, but I think that was because I didn’t use enough degreaser).

This stuff is awesome! Had a pure grease spill of Thompson waterproofing plus that was absolutely impossible to remove. This stuff dissolved it like a PRO and made for easy cleaning! Love it, don’t be fooled by it’s pretty purple color it’s excellent!.

Uuyy my favorite product highly recommended it for clean stainless steel to remove rusty areas also to wash mechanic uniforms say good bye to oil grease. but careful to pour directly mix it first this liquid and dishwasher soap.

I recently bought this just to try it out considering I use vinegar all the time to clean and disinfect at home. For $5 I thought it was worth a try – I was shocked and completely amazed!! This cleaner is super powerful and tackles the toughest of cleaning jobs with ease.

It got baked on grease off the inside of my oven door without any waiting time (with the help of a razor blade) when nothing else has worked. Cleaned my baseboards and tub/shower like nothing I’ve seen.

This is a MUST HAVE in anyone’s house! I love it :).

I pressure wash and steam clean heavy equipment like hydraulic excavators, front end loaders, rock crushers, and screening plants. This product works extremely well. Many other degreasers sold are way overpriced and they don’t work effectively.

However I can say this product works very well. I do use a pressure washer with 3,000 PSI with steam so that helps, however if you’re going to use this product in the summer with humidity and heat, you might want to dilute it a little bit.

I am not diluting it’s currently I just do small sections at a time so I give the degreaser time to work but not stain. This is my go to product.

I bought this to clean my kitchen exhaust fan/hood, which I had tried many different kinds of cleaners with no good results. I diluted with half water and sprayed on, let sit for half an hour, just wiped off, all the dirty, greasy were gone.

No more sticky. A truly grease eater, highly recommend.

I was a first time user and I am amazed with Zep. i rent apartments and this one was above an automotive shop. Children and oily finger prints. ugh. I couldnt believe how powerful this product was. it really didnt feel like work at all.

Spray and wipe of. No scrubbing and scrubbing. Im now trying to find in in gallon jugs to kkep on hand. I can see so many uses for Zep.

Wow, tried other products, nothing worked. This stuff performed two completely different jobs very well (grout on floor tile and soot on stucco). Tried a spot on the garage floor and worked very well there as well.

Cuts like a knife!! Cannot complain, Zep is an old school products which doesn’t fail!!

Rebranded Purple Powers….but weaker. I wouldn’t waist the money gain tbh. Was looking for a viable replacement for B-52…this want it lol

Great product I use for everything the only thing I don’t like is that it has a very strong smell so I spray it and leave.

This is the best cleaner/degreaser I have ever found.

I won’t use anything but super clean. its the best degreaser you can anywhere. I tried many different kinds and they don’t work as good as super clean. I prefer things that are strong and work. It’s some string stuff and seems to be environmentally friendly? Not sure on that one but I do use it to clean engines and oil spills and it won’t kill or disturb the grass or any plants that it gets on.

Not like some of the others. My only problem is that the auto zone here only has the small spray bottles when I usually like to buy the one gallon or the two and a half gallon jugs. So I usually buy it form other part stores.

They don’t always have the two and a half gallon jug but always have the one gallon. I don’t need a lot of spray bottles. Just like to have a lot of this stuff around. So I won’t buy it if all they only have the spray bottles on the shelf.

I prefer to reduce and reuse.

I have used this for over 3 years after doing my first engine swap. I also found out that it works incredibly well in removing black streaks from vinyl coated aluminum RV exteriors. Just spray on a rag or directly on the surface, but be sure to wipe off immediately.

Black streaks disappeared with no great amount of elbow grease. Not sure of the effectiveness with fiberglass RV’s, but save yourself a ton of money with the specialty RV streak removers and get this instead.

The person who washes my RV was amazed at how well and easily it worked on black streaks that had been accumulating for 2 years. Oh and it’s a great degreaser as well, lol.

We just moved into a new community kitchen on our farm and are cooking 3 meals a day and there is a lot. A LOT of grease. This is the only thing we’ve been using so far. ,and it does a awesome job on all our stainless steel appliances.

The big canopy is the best to clean with this Dawn degreaser!!We even use it as a floor cleaner. A big jug usually last us a month. wish it came in 5 gallon drums. 👍👍highly recommended in a greasy kitchen!!.

I added a 1/4 cup to a load of oily kitchen towels that I had tried previously to get that greasy feeling out of. Voila! worked with my Tide like magic. And I can use the towels for that job again and not be out extra cash for heavy duty towels! tyvm Dawn.

I’m a house cleaner and I love using any dawn products but I especially love using dawn professional heavy duty degreaser it gets the job done!!! I definitely recommend it!
