20 Best Heating Pad For Neck (2023 Updated)

I purchased the Pure Enrichment Pure Relief Neck and Shoulder Heating Pad at our neighborhood Walgreens and was shocked at the price at first ($34. 99), but there there were no other heating pads that could conveniently fit around the neck so I decided to give this a shot.

My first impression was that the color is very nice and rich (I have the dark teal) and the material is high quality. It’s super soft! I love that the heat pack is weighted and is machine washable. I’m using this right now to help with persistent headaches, and it feels so nice.

I also love laying across my belly like a mini weighted heated blanket. The heat is therapeutic and the ergonomic design is great. It’s not quite as hot as I expected but it also doesn’t need to be. This way, I can use it for longer without getting overheated.

The 3 different temperature settings is a bonus!! The auto shut off is another great feature I appreciate. Overall, I feel this was worth the investment since the quality is so high. And most importantly, it’s not going to burn in the microwave because it’s electric! I’m very satisfied my purchase.

After dealing with neck/shoulder pain for years (since the late 1990’s), I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease and Cervical Myelopathy. In 2017 I had a cervical fusion done on my C4 and C5 vertebrae.

Up to now I have used any method I could to ease my neck/shoulder pain. Ointments, chiropractors, pain relief medication, heating pads; you name it and I have tried it. My mother-in-law gifted me the Pure Relief Neck & Shoulder Heating Pad for Christmas just a few days ago and I must say that is by far the absolute best heating pad I have ever used.

It forms to your body like no other that I have used. The heat settings are perfect. I don’t have to fight with it and move it to different spots multiple times during a heating session. Not to mention the sheer comfort and quality of the pad.

THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT! I will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone that is looking for a quality heating pad. You have hit it out of the park with this one! Great job, and thank you for helping to relieve some of my aches and pains!.

I received this wrap as a gift. Initially when I tried it, I had no idea there was a magnet on the front to hold the sides together in the front. Ingenious! I was about to give a weaker review because I was disappointed at how hard it was to sit at my desk with the pad on without it falling off all of the time.

I even tried using a clamp and a bag clip to hold it, but it didn’t work. When I pulled open the website and product, I realized it actually did have a way to clasp with a magnet that is built into the material! I had no idea until now! This was a gift I received in December.

and it took til August for me to decide to write a review and I found this out! It was literally like opening up a new present that I am not really happy and content with. I’m sitting here right now with it wrapped around my neck and it is doing the job I had totally expected from it! It’s soft, comfortable, and now very usable for me since I do a lot of desk work and my neck gets sore.

This heating is the best heating pad ever. I have several neck surgeries completed n the last one had to fusion my spine from C3 to T2 n had 2 metal rods inserted on each side on my upper spine to try to stabilize the repaired spine.

The surgery was very successful but there is still some upper neck/shoulder muscle n nerve pain. And muscle pain down along one side of my spine. This heating allows me at rest times n bedtime to wear the heating place on 2nd setting (yellow) n lay down.

Within 15 minutes my neck, shoulders n back are relaxing n reducing the pain helping to minimize the nerve pain which remains from my last surgery. It’s great !!! I ordered the gray color. One improvement – create the shoulders to hang over the shoulders more with more heat to cover the end, top n side of your shoulders for us older folks with shoulder pain problems.

I wish you could make something like this for the low back long term pain sufferers due to sciatic pain, disc n spine pain in the L5-L3 n S1 n other chronic hip pain n pain in low back Drs just can not locate on any MRIs or CT scans but they agree you are suffering from pain in that area they just can’t find the cause to show to your medical plan.

Please make that heating pad it would be very similar to the neck but not high neck pad, must wrap around belly button area n close/hold. Then dangle the back area for low back but make it in a more rectangular shape n longer so it hangs past the butt down into the thighs but it also wraps part of the way around thighs and wraps all the way around butt/low abdomen of the body with those Velcro straps to keep it tight on the person n the heat will get Not only the back but the front of the lower abdominal areas n part of front thighs.

I own several heating pads, all made by Sunbeam. I have this neck wrap (two of them) and a larger one that is about double the length (for the neck and back). One awesome innovation with these heating pads is that they can be machine washed.

I recently washed them for the first and only time, following the exact instructions that are printed directly on the heating pad/s. When I went to use them again not one worked. First I tried one, then the other, then the other, they wouldn’t heat up.

It can’t be a coincidence that they stopped working after they were washed. I’m very frustrated because these are not inexpensive heating pads. And if they shouldn’t be washed (or won’t work after they’re washed) they shouldn’t be advertised that are washable!!! It’s hard to give this “X” out of 5 stars because I would give it 5 stars initially but now, ZERO!!.

I bought this heating pad in July of 2020. I chose this heating wrap to help with my knots and pain because the reviews were great. I’m very disappointed. I had a sunbeam heating pad from 2008 until 2018.

It was amazing and my all-time favorite! After 10 years it finally crapped out so I bought the same heating pad to replace it. That heating pad lasted about a year and then crapped out. I replaced it with this heating pad and after only 7 months it’s already basically worthless.

It heats up but the heat only lasts about 15 minutes and then cools off again. It still says it’s on but it’s no longer hot. I’m so frustrated that I spent my money on this heating pad but more than that the face that I can’t get a good and reliable heating pad! Done waste your money on this one.

Just had to let you know that my daughter gave me your PURERELIEF XL back and neck heating pad for Christmas. I am almost 70 years old, have had two major back surgeries, shoulder surgeries, arthritis, nerve pain, etc.

The use of ice and heat gets me through lots of days. I honestly hadn’t seen your vest before and when I opened my gift, I thought, “ what has she bought now?” This is very effective in that it is able to stay in place, it has the magnet at the neck, the Velcro strap around the waist.

The heat settings are enough to satisfy anyone. And I love the option to disconnect the plug to go do something without taking off the vest! It totally relaxed my entire back. I used it right before bed.

I am really thankful my daughter gave me this gift. I told my sister about it who sits at computer all day with her job, and she just ordered one. She asked if hot was “ my kind of hot!” I assured her it gets very hot, and she was convinced.

I bought this heating pad several years ago and have enjoyed using it so much that I bought the same one for all my family members. The happiest moment of my every single day is when I get to wrap myself in this amazing heating pad.

It has helped to ease all muscle tightness in my body; neck, back, shoulders, hamstring (recent injury), etc. After many years of daily use, the heating pad stopped functioning properly and I figured I had to get a new one.

I wrote to customer service at Pure Enrichment hoping they could advise if there was something to do to fix the problem. To my utter surprise they got back to me right away. They asked for some information on proof of purchase and when I took longer than usual to respond, they actually followed up with me (when does that ever happen?) When I found out that they are very generously replacing my heating pad, I absolutely could not believe it, I have never experienced such amazing customer service.

This is an awesome company all around.

While I’ve only used the product a few times since purchasing it yesterday, I’ve really enjoyed it so far. I really like the soft material and Velcro strap to secure it on. It’s also nice that it comes with a storage bag and fits to the body.

One thing I’d change about it is the mechanism for securing it to the body. It’d be nice if it had additional straps included for purposes of securing the shoulder portions to the strap that goes around the waste, so that it stayed over the shoulders when changing positions.

The only other issue I’ve had with the product is that it’s automatically shut off on me a few times after being on for less than 30 minutes. While not a huge deal, it is a little inconvenient to have to turn it back & wait for it to get hot again after only a short period of time.

Otherwise, great heating pad for back/shoulder pain following a car accident!.

I use these Thermacare heatwraps often I have fibromyalgia which in my case means almost constant pain in my neck, my shoulders, and sometimes all the way down to my waist. I use Advil and these heatwraps, and the heat from the heatwraps really eases the pain so that I can function throughout my day.

The heat does last a long time, and is just hot enough to ease the pain but not burn me. They adhere well, as opposed to some other brands I have bought in the past, which fall off easily. The only thing to remember is that, if you dont get it in quite the right place on the first attempt, you have one more try to reposition.

After that, it will not stick anymore, and youve wasted one. The adhesive can be irritating to the skin and sometimes leaves a red, irritated patch if I leave it on too long. I try not to use them two days in a row to give my skin a break, but sometimes I have to.

I honestly expected better from ThermaCare. These do get warm, but that’s about all they do. These *will not stick* no matter how clean and dry my skin is, and I had to use duct tape to get them to stay in place.

Also, the adhesive is only on the ends and there’s none in the middle, so the middle part bunches up as I move around. The menstrual heat wraps are great; these not so much. Save yourself the trouble and buy a reusable heating pad.

Our family has used thermacare wraps for years to combat chronic pain limiting life. When we tried generic brands, there is no comparison. The generic brands can be worthless as often one or more don’t work, their application is complicated, and when they do ‘work’, their effect is minimal.

We came to a conclusion that they are a waste of money. Purchasing in higher quantities ensures they will be there- plus they cost less.

This product is well made and has the convenience of being a wearable heating pad but this does not get hot enough even on its highest setting. For the price tag of $49 , this is not worth it. I have a cheap soft gel heating pad that works so much better and I will be going back to using that.

I am returning this Renpho heating pad.

I ordered a “weighted” heating pad, but the item I received does not say “weighted” on the box nor does it feel weighted. I tried to return it to Walmart, but they made it difficult to do so. I’m very disappointed.

After a long day of work, this is now my favorite product to help me relax at night in my favorite chair while I read. We have a high wattage microwave, so I turned the power down to 5 out of 10 and maybe had to heat it for about two minutes for it to be at the level of heat I wanted.

I work in an office and sit down a lot and this helps immensely with the pain in my neck and shoulders. I tend to get tension headaches and where I have not tried it for them yet, I am sure it will help.

This product was purchased as a gift for someone who suffers from a severe condition of Kyphosis. The recipient loves the relief it affords her as well as the aromatic lavender aroma. It has the perfect weight to keep it in place around her neck and shoulders without feeling burdensome.

Delivery was delayed twice, but can be attributed to the holiday rush. Very pleased with my purchase. Return on investment appears limitless for the individual for whom it was purchased.

This is the best neck and shoulder wrap ever! First of all, the design is perfect, as it wraps around my neck and shoulders and stays in place. I used this by putting this in my microwave and heating up before I used it.

It feels wonderful, and the scents are very relaxing, especially the lavender!! It has a pretty strong scent, and the scent has not diminished at all, and I’ve used this a lot!! The material is soft and comfortable!! I have not tried this by putting it in the freezer yet, so not sure how that would be, as I prefer it warm!! We fight over this in my house, since we all want to use it!! I’ll be getting another one for sure!!.

Uneven heating and the plastic control stays warm, even when not in use. I kept it cuz I really needed one right away.

I bought this Back Heating Pad for my daughter. She said it is very soft and works very well.

Unfortunately I had to return the 1st heating pad I purchased as it stopped working after a few weeks. The replacement seems to be working fine. If you have a bad neck (herniated discs), this is just what you need.

It covers all the necessary areas without you having to hold it in place. Provides that healing heat in all the places you hurt. I’ll never be without it again!.

Not what i expected. The back and collar areas have a thin row of what feels like hackysack pebbles. really uncomfortable when sitting with your back against a couch cushion. Has a button on the front to keep it connected.

if you have a thick neck it would probably not connect and make you feel like youre being choked. the heating element in the collar area is practically non existent and not strong even on setting 3. more heat is transfered onto whatever youre resting against than the actual shoulder.

Plus side. long cord and soft matetial, thats about it. you can get better results from the square, light blue sunbeam heating pads.

I really like the fabric this heating pad it made of. It is soft and stays where you place it. The pad shuts off automatically,. Nice safty feature, after about an hour or 2. I like this so I don’t fall asleep and get over heated or burned.

It is very light weight, nice for travel. I can put it in my purse!.

I have been very impressed with this Sunny Bay Hands-Free Neck Heating Wrap because it provides relieving heat therapy and support at the same time. Makes for a very relaxing experience especially as it extends down from the neck in the back area.

The Sunny Bay Hands Free Neck Wrap is the most comfortable microwavable heating pad I have ever used. It fits snug for most effectiveness but not top tight. It is soft on the neck unlike other scratchy wraps.

The dark blue color does not show dirt or wear like the white ones I have had before. I am absolutely delighted with the product.

I love these “Bed Buddies” for heating in microwave for sore neck/knees, etc. But,don’t put directly on skin; place over sweater or robe or something relatively thick to protect your delicate skin. If it is too too hot on your wrist (just like baby formula), don’t put it anywhere on your body until it cools down.

If you do overheat, it will put off a burned hair smell which is not possible to get rid of, so I recommend heating in 30 second intervals. Usually one or two is enough for soothing warmth. Also, don’t fall asleep with it on or put on children or animals as they may not react to the product being too warm as an adult person would.

I’ve used these for years and purchased many from this particular seller. Highly recommend with practical and common sense precautions.

I’ve been buying these for years. About the only place you can find them now is “Walgreens”, so I was really happy to find them on eBay at a good price. All is great with the sellers end of things, but I don’t know what happened to the product over the years.

The bed buddy just doesn’t stay warm for very long. You used to heat them for up to 3 minutes and they would stay nice and warm for a good hour or better. Now you only can heat them for 2 minutes and they cool off within 10-30 minutes.

If you try to hear for anything longer than the recommended 2 minutes, you’re going to burn it and really stink up the house. They must be using a different material; Maybe they got sued over the old ones for getting so hot.

I loved them that way though. They are a great help if you have Fibromyalgia or the big ‘R’. I buy a new one every 3 months or so. They’ve got me hooked. Watch the stupid politicians start calling them “opiods” in another year or so and ban them!.

the Original Bed Buddy has been my go to heating pad for 32 years! These things are awesome! The shape is absolutely perfect for necks, knees, lower back, etc. I even zap one in the microwave and put it at the foot of my bed in the winter for cold feet! They are durable and last a long time.

My last one was still going strong until I got two puppies and they chewed a hole in it! You will love it!.

Heating pad control gets really really hot. I reached out to seller and mfg of this heating pad. I love it but am afraid a fire may start. It’s been a week and still no response with a resolution. Very very disappointed.

It worked nice for a year and then stopped working. Seems to short out and shut off after about a minute. I expected it to last longer than a year. If it had, I would have given 5 stars.

I would give it a 5 star for the length it is great ! The reason I dropped the rating is because it does not really get hot . Now if you need medium heat this would be perfect , but I need hot .

The wife loves it. Been using it all morning. Nuke it for a minute, take it out, shake it up, then another 30, squish it around, then another 30. Nice and toasty. And the lavender is just enough for her and not overpowering for me.

I’ve ordered a lot of neck wraps and this one is great. I just came back today and ordered the medium body one. If you have ra and other autoimmune diseases this helps your bones so much. I just love the heat.

This is a simple but effective little device that is sure to give some relief to the person I bought it for. My friend rolled her car last winter and her neck has been bothering her ever since. Heat and cold packs give her some relief but a microwaved rice bag doesn’t stay warm long enough for her.

This heat wrap should really make a difference for her. It will stay warm for as long as she wants it to. Since I can’t deliver this to her until next week, I tried it on myself(see my video if you like).

It heats up pretty fast and has 3 heat settings. The hottest setting is pretty warm so the medium setting would be fine for me. It’s very soft and you can plug it into any smartphone charger or other 5v USB power source(like your computer or laptop).

My friend doesn’t do computers so I also bought her a 10000mah 5v power pack to go with this neck warmer. That way she can use the neck warmer wherever she goes-even driving a car or going out to eat or whatever.

Yeah, so I very much recommend this neck warmer pad. After trying it on myself, I’m almost tempted to get one too. I can only imagine how nice this pad would feel using it while Ice fishing or snow blowing the driveway when cold weather hits again.

I was looking for some inexpensive, yet good performing wireless earbuds. After researching reviews, I found the Boltune BH020. Reviews were positive regarding performance and quality. After a year of use, my ear buds were having some issues.

I contacted customer support where I worked with Lance. First we tried some troubleshooting, but ultimately I was sent a replacement. Based on price and performance I would recommend and even more for the service I received.

These headphones are small and perfect for people that have smaller ears. The sound quality is awesome, the bass is just right and doesn’t drown out the music, even at the highest volume. The charging case is slim and can easily be slipped into your pocket.

The headphones are magnetically held securely in the charging case and even the lid is magnetically held shut. The only downside I could find with these headphones was that the highest volume setting was not too loud, but it’s still loud enough to drown out all the outside noise.

Overall a good quality product at a decent price.

When unbox it, the smell of it really impressed me and I enjoy it! As is introduced on their website, it truly has plenty of herbs. After several times trying, it always heats well and not too heavy and help me relax pressure.

There ‘s one thing I also want to mention, it has a bag for me to pack it, how convenience!.

My neck feels burden day by day, I feel it harder for me to move my neck. It is so happy that I find this product by chance, well fits my neck with its weight and not so heavy on my shoulder, its lavender scent makes me feel relaxed too, easily used follow the directions and works well on me.

Quite worth the money, high recommended!.

I get middle back and neck aches occasionally. This wrap is heavy and puts the right amount of weight on the area that hurts to help sooth it. Microwaving it for two minutes gives it the perfect amount of heat to soothe the muscles that are hurting.

It can also be placed in the freezer to make it cold if that is what is needed. I like that I can get relief without being plugged in.

I only use this for the cooling effect. The beads travel down to below my collar bone and I do not need the cooling there. I turned the wrap upside down and moved all the beads down as far as I could to the center.

Then I used a rubber band to block off the beads from the first sections on the ends. That helps quite a bit but there aren’t a ton of beads in the high neck area. I do like it but there should be more beads to cover the neck and shoulders.

The concept is great but improvements are needed. If you want the cool or heat to reach below your collar bone, it’s perfect but if not, you’ll have to do some adjusting with a rubber band like it did.

In any event, more beads are needed My recommendation is limited as explained above.

OMY GOSH does this feel good one my neck! my shoulders did not feel all tensed up after using this heated. i had a cervical fusion years ago but still have pain. this works so well relieving that pain, and last longer than my pain meds do! i have not tried it cold and doubt i will, because i get more relief from heat.

i don’t like the smell but i got past that.

I like that this can be microwaved for heating, is warm and cozy, and a good weight but the clay beads inside simply just roll down inside the material. There is nothing keeping the beads in one place; therefore, they do not stay on your shoulder or your neck.

They roll down inside the material and they congregate on your chest (the bottom of the neck wrap). The bottom becomes really heavy and your shoulder is just left with material but with no weight or beads resting there.

I will return today.

I love this wrap. I used it for my sciatica. I was able to place it on two separate areas by adjusting it with a curve. I absolutely believe it help ease the pain. And the aroma is pleasant too! I have not used it for cold purposes, but imagine it will have the same positive qualities.

This item is a nice weight, size and has the lovely scent of lavender. It would be improved if it was made with baffles so all the product inside does not shift to one end when you are handling it. A small detail but that is the reason it gets four starts from me.

This wrap works great! To have a replacement knee surgery and place it in the microwave for 2 minutes and it does the job of pain pills, and is much safer than the left, as I was told by my physical therapist and Dr.

Comfort is the very best thing from it. I will be using it on my neck. Also, because I have had 3 shattered vertebrae’s years ago.

The first thing I noticed was how soft and luxurious the material is and the cable is a really good length. My initial reaction after using it was that it wasn’t very hot, but after taking it off I realised how wrong I was.

I think it was because I went up through the heat settings and gradually warmed up, so when I took it off I instantly noticed the temperature drop. I found it so comforting and relaxing and found any tension reducing almost instantly.

I tend to use it in an evening, while watching TV and find it relaxes me ready for a better night’s sleep. The three heat settings are more than adequate and it heats up really quickly, plus it holds the heat for a sufficient amount of time after being turned off.

And as the material is so luxurious it’s also feels nice wearing it even when it’s not plugged in. I really can’t think of a reason why you wouldn’t be happy with it!.

Having tried a few heated pad products I was quite sceptical about this, but was pleasantly surprised with this product, it fits really comfortably around the neck and shoulders. The fabric is really nice and not too heavy.

The rapid heat function is really handy when you want to use it quickly -and the 3 heat settings mean you are in control of the temperature you want. It safely cuts out after 90 minutes, but I’ve only used for an hour at the most which I find more than enough to warm and relax me even after a stressful day.

It wipes clean easily and can be machine washed which is really handy. Definitely the best in the range of products available that I have tried in heat pads for the body.

You cannot deny this is a well made heat pad. The quality of the material is undeniable. But – After owning other heat products from Beurer I was expecting a bit more. I didn’t find a lot of difference between settings 2 & 3.

I also felt the heat distribution was evenly fed. It might have been better, as well, to have velcro fastening rather than popper. Whilst the poppers look better and give the high end feel Velcro would have given me a better fit as it’s more adjustable.

Great sham as this was one product I was looking forward to using.
