Hearing aid is a small electronic device that you wear in or behind your ear. It makes some sounds louder so that you can hear them better. Hearing aids can help people with sensorineural hearing loss, which is a type of permanent hearing loss.

I had a hearing scare in summer 2021 where I almost lost 50db in my right ear. I spend 15-20 hours in the studio per week and sometimes don’t have as much time for breaks with my schedule as I’d like.
These slides are a game changer – I can do all the heavy lifting with them in and then quietly do mixdowns and mastering to polish everything up towards the end of each project. The higher setting is great for normal use, then for live events I slide them all the way down so I can still enjoy the music (and hear conversations) without destroying my ears.
Really convenient to be able to switch between quieter and louder, and only having two settings is actually preferable to more complicated ones that have many db ranges. Thanks for the awesome product!.
1st trial-run on the gig last night, with the Eargasm “Slide” earplugs. Have to say, these are the best earplugs I’ve used playing Saxophone. to date. The ability to move (slide) the adjustment, custom dialing-in how much you want to hear is a nice feature.
And for the price? They are really REALLY nice. A musician suffering from Tinnitus with 15% loss in my right ear, from standing too close to a loud Guitar Amp, playing with Pat Martino for 4. 5 years? I wanted to preserve as much of that remaining 85% as I can.
And these things made it so – that at the end of 2 pretty agressive, full-tilt, going-for-it, sets? My ears did not feel fatigued at the end of the gig. I drove home without any of that “loud ringing” in my ears.
My ears felt non aggravated by the music. A+ on these.
I bought these for my boyfriend, I’ve only used them occasionally but I love them. I plan to buy myself a pair. The slide design is incredibly simple (and genius) and truly blocks out an amazing amount of sound on the higher level but you can still hear others talk on the lower lever which is nice so you aren’t shouting at them by accident.
I have previously bought and use the high fidelity earplugs (clear) for airplane trips, chain saw work, long car trips, etc. and am happy with them but they hurt my ears after an hour or so. I think the slide ear plugs are more comfortable, I can wear them for longer periods of time, and for a wider variety of situations because of the slide settings.
I’m not a fan of loud noises in general and like to block out the world when I study and these are a good option for that too. My bf uses them at his engineering/manufacturing job on the floor and for yard work, so far, and loves them as well.
Plus they look great in your ear and discrete. Great product.

I finally purchased the legendary Etymotic – ER4SR after so many IEM’s and headphones. It’s a folklore amongst music enthusiasts at Head-fi. I’ll try to provide my brief analysis since I’ve tested it for 12 days.
The phone used was the Rog Phone 2. It’s more than capable to power the Etymotic – ER4SR. Not to forget it also powered the Soundmagic E80C which is a 64 Ohms impedance budget IEM. Design and Comfort: The IEM looks and feels premium.
However, comfort wise it’s a kind of a mixed bag specially if you are using the triple flange eartip. However, there are many eartips provided in the box so it wont be that difficult to get a secured fit and comfortable fit.
Sound Quality: This is where it really shines or may I say proves that it’s the perfect reference IEM. The sound is completely flat, nothing is boosted. Newbies might not like it but if you’re an audiophile or musician you will really appreciate it.
My previous headphone was the V-Moda M200 which was really good however it pales in front of the Etymotic – ER4SR. Also, its able to block out a lot of ambient sound. The best I have witnessed on an IEM so far.
Value for Money: For the characteristics of this IEM, the price is very low infact pretty reasonable. However, most Indians are really underpaid at work hence I would suggest you to first try out the Soundmagic E80C.
It is an excellent IEM with a balanced soundstage. Upon conclusion, I feel that one will truly appreciate the Etymotic – ER4SR once you’ve become a true connoisseur of music or let’s just say flat sounding music.
I have been in the IEM market for over 2 decades now. I have tried many things from many brands, flagship or otherwise. This IEM however comes close to the end game as far as SQ is concerned but with a few caveats.
See the SQ of this IEM is hard to beat – it is detailed, dynamic & accurate enough. However – 1 – If you are into IEMs with ethereal bass – this won’t do. This has enough bass, really good bass too, but it won’t tickle your spine on Fat Bottomed Girls.
2 – The fit, oh THE FIT. This takes a while to get used to (this is my 2nd pair of Etys). In the beginning they are uncomfortable – very uncomfortable. Once you get used to these though, they almost disappear – almost.
HOWEVER, you give them a break for lets say a couple of weeks (if you have multiple IEMs) – the process starts again. It is cumbersome to say the least, the SQ is worth the pain though. YMMV. 3 – The cable.
Not the worst – definitely not the best. More on the annoying side of things – microphonics + the weight. A big reason you never forget you are wearing these – that’s why I said almost. HOWEVER – if you can get over the issues above, these IEMs are hard to beat for the price or at any price.
I personally love them and will always have a pair in my inventory.

the earphones i received were in a package with minimal damage–the earphones themselves were undamaged and the accessories were still in the dinged clamshell. the damaged clamshell resulted in a discounted price.
i had been put off buying MSA pro earmuffs because of the cost and had been bird dogging them on ebay. anyway, i wore them to an indoor pistol range this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised at the electronic muffling of gunshots.
with cheaper (but still effective) analog muffling in my other muffs, all of the sound gets cut on and off with shots–which can be a little distracting. with electronic, the shots are muffled, but other sounds remain the same.
Husband loves his MSA Sordin Supreme Ear Defenders…! He hasn’t actually used them as yet but he’ll be using them in the New Year when shooting! Thank you William Powell for your excellent advice & service!.
I shoot quite a bit, and have always had normal ear protection earmuffs. The MSA Sordins blow every pair of earpro I’ve ever had out of the water. I’ve owned and used mine for a few months now and have never had a problem with them.
Their exception quality and sound placement while wearing them is fantastic! You can actually follow where sounds around you are coming from. The sound quality is unbelievable, and at the highest setting you can hear everything including a squirrel s**t in the woods.
Their an awesome product that is worth every penny.

Working in the steel industry is quite noisy. After trying different ear protection and not being completely satisfied, I found the 3E earmuffs. Best investment I made concerning my hearing. I’ve been wearing them on the job, for about 8 years.
Only had to replace them 1x, because a piece broke that allows the earmuff to slide up and down. And I’m happy to say when I go for my yearly hearing test, thankfully there is no change to my hearing.
The earmuffs have done what they are designed to do. And are apart of my every day PPE.
I’ve been using this hearing protection daily in my cabinet shop for probably five years. Not only do they reduce the noise levels of all the various machines I use during the day (some of them are very loud) but they’ve also held up to the rigor of being knocked around the shop much better than other sets I’ve used.
Hearing damage is irreversible, folks: don’t compromise on your hearing protection.
Audien hearing devices are everything you’ve been looking for in a hearing amplifier. They are extremely affordable, long lasting, comfortable fit, and most importantly they provide clear, crisp sound so you are no longer missing out on conversations and saying, “huh?” and “what?” all the time.
High NRR plugs deliver superior noise-blocking performance. Contoured bell-shaped design provides an excellent ear-canal fit with enhanced back-out resistance. Soft, expanding polyurethane foam ensures a comfortable fit.
Smooth, soil-resistant closed-cell foam skin protects against dirt buildup.
Best earplugs I’ve ever used. This package arrived unsealed (no wrapper or glue holding the box shut) and the plugs are not in baggies by the pair. This makes them incovenient and unsanitary for taking several pairs with you somewhere.
The box is also designed for use with a dispenser which I don’t have. Not that I would be taking an entire dispenser with me anyway.
Blocks 95% of noise. Have construction project next door, and these plugs blocks out the hammering, ghetto blaster and other machinery noise. It even blocks out my annoying alarm clock. Thanks for a great product.
I like these. II ride a Harley with a shorty helmet- the wind is deafening. I believe the wind noise has affected my hearing. So, I got these to try. They are very soft, comfortable, and easy to put in.
They seal well, and do a good job blocking the wind noise. But, they still allow me to hear other sounds: like a passenger’s comment, other bikes, cars, and emergency vehicles. It is possible to hold a conversation while wearing these plugs, in the right (otherwise relatively quiet) environment.
I bought the 50-pack thinking it’d last about a riding season (1, maybe 2 uses per pair). Maybe it’s because I keep my ears clean. But, I’ll easily have enough for all of next year, too. So, for the durability, this a very good value, in my opinion.

Good item. Tips : Use a sticker of the battery to re-stick it when not in use (overnight for example), it helps to increase the battery life by 2 or 3 times or even more. I figured that out when I was wondering why there was a sticker there.
And I tested it and it’s true. Please apply this tips.
When my wife was down to her last hearing aid battery, I drove to a neighborhood drug store to pick up some, I had no idea what they cost as she had always purchased them herself. A pack of eight batteries cost me over sixteen dollars, plus tax.
I guess that drugstore, one of a well known Nationwide chain doesn’t make enough on the outlandish profits of prescriptions. I looked on line and saw these batteries. 60 for $18:49 including shipping and decided to give them a try.
They far exceeded all expectation, they truly are long lasting. My wife is amazed at how seldom she has to replace one.

I’ve had these muffs for about 3 years now. I wear them anytime there’s a firearm in my hands and even if I’m working around loud power tools on home projects. I’ve taken several whitetail, countless waterfowl and tons of paper targets wearing them.
They do a good job of amplifying sounds until the shot and I’ve even heard whitetail sneaking up on me before seeing them because of these muffs. Being able to have a normal conversation at a whispering volume with someone seconds before the rapport of a 22-250 in the dead of the Canadian prairie winter without having to choose between hearing damage or spooking your quarry fumbling with hearing protection is absolutely invaluable for me.
I’m a musician so protecting my hearing is of utmost importance to me and now I don’t have to choose. Battery life for my use so far has been incredible. One set of good AAAs for the last 2+ years. A lot of people look at me funny for wearing muffs while hunting but I gave an extra set to a friend of mine last goose hunt and now he’s hooked as well.
They are surprisingly warm even in -20C (if you wear something UNDER the ear cups which I don’t, you’re not getting full protection) and the ONLY downsides to them so far are: – there’s not really anything to combat wind noise -you can’t hear your shot connecting with it’s target, or at least I can’t Long story short, they’re great quality and I’m very happy with them.
Wouldn’t go out without em now and hopefully will never have to. All of my guns except my 22LR have a ridiculously loud shot due to accessories, features or calibre and I’ve only ever bumped them slightly loose once (at the range) and I noticed it afterward.
I don’t know why the specs listed here for the Razor Slim earmuffs say “individual volume controls”, there is only one on/off/volume control. These muffs utilize a single volume control which controls left and right volume simultaneously.
I just tested the Quad Razor Slim earmuffs, and they appear to be stereophonic. (If you softly rub your finger on the outer case of the right muff, sound is amplified primarily on the right, and the same action with left side produces the same results on the left) That being said, it is difficult to discern from which direction noises are emanating with these muffs.
Same as the other Walker’s electronic earmuffs with only dual microphones. My Howard Leight Impact Sport electronics muffs do a much better job as far as directional noise locating abilities. But they are less comfortable and the on/off/volume knob feels a little bit sketchy and does not operate as smoothly or conveniently as the Walker’s.
I bought these on sale for $60. Needless to say thats about as much as I’d want to pay for them. I wouldn’t pay full retail at $120. I had to wear ear plugs underneath the muffs for decent ear protection then crank the volume up so I could still hear people talk.
I even bought the sought after $30 walker gel pads. Yes they are comfortable but for a price of $95 combined, I think I will stick with my $20 passive ear muffs. I forgot to mention, these like to pick up wind noise at the outdoor range too.
Signia Insio Charge AX Review – The convenience of lithium-ion rechargeability now in custom in-the-ear hearing aids In a relatively brief period, lithium-ion rechargeability has become the standard battery power for hearing aids.
The reason for its popularity comes down to three major advantages over disposable, zinc-air batteries. Ease of management – usage is much more convenient as there is no need for weekly, fiddly battery changes Cost savings – no ongoing battery costs which can be significant when powering today’s high performance wireless hearing aids.
Reliability – integrated lithium-ion batteries, means the hearing aids’ housing is sealed, so there is less chance of dust/dirt and moisture ingress. The majority of behind-the-ear (BTE) and receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aids are rechargeable.
However, the vast majority of in-the-canal (ITC) hearing aids are still powered by disposable, zinc-air batteries. In fact, until recently there was only one mainstream brand offering a rechargeable ITC; Starkey with their Livio ITC.
In November 2021, Signia joined Starkey by offering a high-performance rechargeable ITC called Insio Charge&Go AX. Reason 1 – Insio C&G AX uses wireless or contactless rechargeability. This is the same technology used on the latest smartphones whereby to initiate charging, phones can simply be placed on compatible wireless charging pads.
Similarly, Insio C&G AX wearers do not need to connect a charging cable or line up battery charging contacts, they simply need to place their hearing aids into the charger.
The batteries are better than the name brand ones I have been buying. Before I paid 13. 00 for 18 batteries. These are about the same amount for 60 batteries. My son uses a FM system at home and school so the batteries in his hearing aids go out fast we change them 2 times a week.
It’s great to find some that last through the week, when I forget to change them. Can’t go wrong with these hearing aid batteries.

Short Story: Purpose-driven product. If you NEED/want to be able to hear your surroundings AS you listen to music or podcasts, etc. (for safety, cycling, etc. ) then you might be interested in this product.
That’s it. Don’t get them if you want sound QUALITY while listening. Long Story: I can see the benefits of being able to “be open” to your environment (we’ve all been on a bike or jogging/walking and been surprised by something like a car or dog coming up on us) but, full disclosure, I’m an audio nerd / music lover and if I’m listening to MUSIC I’m doing it for the quality/enjoyment.
I would never listen to music to drown out my surroundings when biking, that’s just not proper safety. And if I’m out on a trail/in the woods, I prefer to hear nature around me. My tests were around the house, listening to music, raking leaves in the yard, going for a walk in a local park with both music and podcasts.
I did use them for some guided meditation audio where it’s nice to listen and be able to hear house/environmental sounds around you which is part of meditation focus for distractions, when you don’t want a speaker to disturb anyone around you and don’t want to completely block out environment around you.
SOUND QUALITY is “just not there for ME” with this product. It’s an open-air speaker driver concept which simply points little speakers at your ear canals. If you’re old enough to remember the “Walkman” foam covered headsets with the metal headband, this is it.
It’s a speaker that sits over your ear but not inside, so allows environmental sound in. The “Bone Conduction” is “hey nice try but. ” – I found if you use both hands to PRESS DOWN into your ear/mandible bone area where they sit, you can get some additional quality and a bit more bass response but.
short of strapping a velcro strap or electrical tape around your head to do so. it’s NOT bone-conduction purely, FOR CLARITY – little speaker holes sending sound to your ear PLUS the silicone pads contacting your facial bones to provide sound boost.
“it is what it is” – catch them on sale if you’re at all interested. I equate them to the same thing as having a small bluetooth speaker around your neck so the sound stays with you as you move around and can hear people/things around you.
**did not test any voice-call features; no phone calls etc. **did not keep long enough to test any kind of battery life but in my couple hours of using them it stayed at 100% PROS: ~product fits comfortably, I would use these for in the office listening to podcasts / internet radio etc.
And quickly be able to remove them/put them back on. Super light silicone headband stays put and barely noticeable – did not experience the discomfort or headaches others noted. ~no interference / good range! Unlike my main bluetooth earbuds that drop in/out when my phone is simply in my pocket and walking/biking, these kept solid connection through several rooms of my house and down to the basement while phone was upstairs in the living room ~simple pairing.
Thanks for making an easy-to-pair process! CONS: ~sound quality. “It is what it is. ” – you’re not buying these for audio quality. They’re not HORRIBLE, but be aware. For voice-focused material like podcasts or “talk radio” okay they’d be fine because that audio frequency range picks up well to the ear.
But in noisy environments/heavy traffic, you’re going to lose your audio here and there BECAUSE you’re open to your environment. ~button controls. They’re tiny. The “multifunction” button on the left side is easy to access for pause/play actions.
But the right-side volume up/down/power button set are miniscule, AND. on the BOTTOM of the headband on that side of the ear. What does that mean ergonomically? Take your right hand and cup it and place it over your right ear.
Would you want to press tiny buttons, barely raised above the surface, with your thumb? Sure you will eventually develop muscle memory for your needs but I would rather use the more tactile index finger versus thumb to press a tiny button.
Full disclosure: one cannot expect a set of “headphones” to deliver quality sound when the design is “a bunch of toothpick size holes” shooting audio out in the direction of your ear, and if you actually check out where they sit, they sit in FRONT of your ear and ‘the little speaker holes’ are pointing at/contacting the little piece of flesh in front of your ear canal and not actually pointed AT your ear canal in a straight shot.
Sure, you can place the speaker part of the headphones directly OVER your ear canal but you lose low end frequency and it just sounds “more mid rangey” and then. blocks some ambient around you as a result.
Again, if you’re in NEED of a product that A) allows you to hear environment around you and B) you still WANT to listen to audio, go for it! Grab them on sale and enjoy! If you’re any kind of “audio snob” you’re not going to like these.
These are purely marketed to cyclists/athletes/people working out because the headband stays put and is super light.
I have been a long-time user of Bluetooth headphones. In the past couple of years, as earbuds have become increasingly popular, I looked at and considered purchasing Apple Air Pods Or something similar.
Truth be known, I’m fairly confident that I would lose one of the earbuds about 15 minutes after the purchase so I’m not sure that this is a viable alternative. I have historically used neckband type Bluetooth headphones so as to ensure that the device is connected to my body in some way.
This was an important feature in deciding on these particular headphones as well as other options. I have to be honest, when I first learned of these headphones, I was not sure that this was something I would like.
I do like the fact that they clipped on and bone induction seemed like a good idea, but the price was certainly much higher than many other headphones on the market and a bit of a deterrent on the surface.
Prior to purchasing these headphones, I found some comparable bone induction headphones that had good reviews on Amazon. I tried two different pairs; both seem to be OK but I was not pleased with the sound quality.
After testing out the second pair, I actually just ran to the store and purchased the AfterShokz Air Headphones so that I can easily compare them with a similar product. I have to say that instantly I could tell the difference.
Yes, in terms of price I would say that the Aftershokz Products are more expensive than similar products available on the market. However, the technology is far superior and the sound quality Is much better than comparable products.
In the end for me, it made so much more sense to spend an additional 40 to 50 bucks to get some thing that was far better than save a few dollars and be frustrated with an inferior product. It is important to note for anyone considering bone induction headphones that the sound quality will be different than what you’ve been used to with traditional headphones.
Your Ear canals will be completely open and can hear background noise around you. This is certainly a reason why people choose these types of headphones, but it is very different than what some may be used to.
It is true the deep base will be compromised; however, I have not found this to be a huge issue. For starters, if you just put some air plugs in you’ll find that you have very deep rich bass sound coming from the headphones.
When I do find an occasion when I want to completely block out the noise, I simply put in my earplugs and it completely changes the sound quality. Still, if you are seeking Bluetooth headphones to completely block out outside noise this may not be a good solution for you.
The one thing that I truly love about these headphones is that I can wear them all day long. I can have them on my head, ready to go to take calls or listen to music and I can completely hear everything going on around me.
They are great to use when shopping or in the car as you can completely take calls and also interact with people around you without any problem. I do frequently also pull them down around my neck; the band just fits snugly around my neck and hold them in place ready to use.
This too has been great for me as again I always have my headphones around me, and I do not feel like I will easily lose them when moving about my daily routine. Another great feature that I have truly come to embrace over time, and something I did not consider at the outside, is the fact that I can sync with both my phone and computer.
I facilitate many webinars And live streaming sessions, and I have found that the headphones are fantastic as I can wear them during my sessions and listen in for questions and other things happening during my live session, but the headphones are extremely discreet and on camera does not appear that I have anything on at all.
This is great as I’m able to hear things that are going on in the room around me, and also listening to student questions without having to wear larger and sometimes obtrusive headsets or headphones.
I’m not sure that there’s any significant downside to these headphones if you consider the type of headphones themselves. Again, this is a very different type of headphones. If you review some of the reviews about bone induction headphones on Amazon and other sites, You will see some people complaining about the sound quality or perhaps the volume being too low.
Some people just don’t like the way they function. The thing to really keep in mind is that you cannot compare these headphones to traditional headphones; sort of apples to oranges comparison. Yes, they are both headphones and provide sound, but these will do it in a very different way than what most people are accustomed to.
If you understand that part of it, And this is something that you were looking for, you will be very happy with the product itself. This particular model is only Bluetooth 4; I would like to see Bluetooth 5 and I am considering upgrading to one of the new products.
The battery life has generally been pretty good; the literature indicates about six hours of battery life. I would say that I have found this to be accurate more or less; I think it’s difficult taking calls throughout the day to really assess if I’m getting a full six hours of talk time out of it.
However, for the most part, I have not found any problems getting through the day and I spent a lot of time on the phone. The connectivity in range has been good; I have not found any problems operating within 30 feet or so and it seems like I can actually set my phone down and perhaps be 40 or 50 feet away from it without any problems.
The one major gripe that Comes to mind would be with regard to Connecting with two devices. I have found that when I do this and I am in proximity to both devices everything is fine. However, if I leave the house walking away from my computer for example, the device will sometimes attempt to reconnect For a period of time making little beep tones and headset.
This is the first Bluetooth headset that I’ve owned that has that capacity and so that issue may be fairly common. However, an improvement here would be nice as I’m sure this is fairly common for people who are active and on the go.
In the end, these headphones are awesome! I have had them for about 18 months and they continue to work very well. I have noticed that the battery life may not be as good as when I first got them, but that too is to be expected but it is common that batteries will degrade over time.
I am considering purchasing the new Open Comm model in the next week or so. I am primarily considering this upgrade because of the Bloom style mic; This will be a wonderful addition for streaming. Nonetheless, awesome headphones!.
Please pay with STRIPE. Our prefered payment provider. Howard Leight by Honeywell MAX Corded Disposable Foam Earplugs offer the best hearing protection in the workplace of any single-use earplugs (33 NRR).
The pre-shaped, contoured foam is designed to fit almost any ear canal for comfortable all-day ear protection on the job. A closed-cell outer layer prevents dirt from building up. The cord drapes easily around your neck when earplugs are not in use.
These earplugs are the most used PE foam earplugs in the world and are suitable for use in almost any industry. 100 pairs of earplugs per pack.
I love these Honeywell MAX corded earplugs, and have been using them for decades. The fit nice and snug in my ear canal (mushed down to go in, expanding once in there). The cord is great in terms of preventing loss.
It never feels unsafe, as the earplugs are designed to fall off if there is any pressure. That said, my husband and kids have (unusually, notably) small ear canals. They can’t use these Honeywell Max earplugs; instead, they use the Mac slims.

Plus I have a tendency to toss all earplugs (and retainers and anything else) in the middle of the night, so the string is almost essential for me.
Allow me to sleep without being disturbed by blocking out all the usual outside noises that keep me awake – I live in the tropics, so I have frogs croaking, Bush Curlews walking down the street calling loudly, Storm Birds (predicting the storms) calling ridiculously loudly in the trees around the house.
My friends who come to visit tell me about the all fauna in the tropics by telling me ‘you live in a zoo’. I am able to offer them relief should they require it. If the plugs come out at night (because I may toss and turn too much) I can trace them easily as they have to cord which I wear behind my head.
I love them, and have absolutely no bad issues with them.
Fortunately, it is easily preventable. HAPPY EARS High Fidelity Earplugs are a ready-fit means of hearing protection for any noisy environment. Our earplugs have the ability to reduce noise by up to 26 decibels.
However, unlike foam or earmuff protection that block out all sound, HAPPY EARS Earplugs reduce noise levels proportionally while maintaining sound integrity. It is like having your own volume knob for life! You hear everything, but at safe and enjoyable levels.
At the heart of each ear plug is an attenuation filter. These filters reduce noise to safe levels while preserving clarity of speech and richness of music. Sounds are reproduced exactly as your ear would hear them but at a reasonable volume.
HAPPY EARS High Fidelity Earplugs have a soft, clear silicone exterior so they nestle gently in your ear and become imperceptible to others. HAPPY EARS Ear Plugs are ideal for concert goers, musicians, motorcycle riders, noise sensitive individuals, or anyone just looking to turn the volume down on the world around them! A compact aluminum case keeps your HAPPY Ears Ear Plugs at your fingertips, wherever noise threatens your hearing.
I bought these earplugs to use for sleep and in summary, I can’t sleep in them. I have small ears and have had a difficult time finding earplugs that fit. Seeing the reviews on these things and being intrigued by their unique design, I wanted to give them a try.
What I like about these earplugs: – the fit is great – they are comfortable – I find them really easy to put in; compared to foam earplugs – I like the small case; it’s very portable – they are reusable and washable; that’s a plus for the environment and not having to buy new ones very often – I also like that they block out enough sound to tone down the world, but not so much that I can’t hear anything.
This might not be enough for some people though I love how easy they are to put in and take out. I can be overwhelmed with too much sensory input, including sound, so when I have a headache/migraine and I’m not in the comfort of my quiet home, I can easily pop these in in public.
For example, after a long day and a migraine, I can wear them on the transit ride home. What I don’t like about the earplugs: – they are uncomfortable to sleep in; which is a deal-breaker for me – they are a little pricey for what you get (I wouldn’t mind the price if I was satisfied with them) I should mention that I am a side sleeper, and everyone’s ears are shaped differently.
When I put the earplugs in comfortably, the solid handle bits stick right out of my ears. When my ear is on a pillow, I can feel the earplugs being pushed deeper into my ears. I also experience an in/out suction sound when I move my head on my pillow.
Sleeping with these in wakes me up and makes me anxious about the earplugs going too far into my ears. Hope this helps!.
First off: I shouldn’t have bought these in the first place, based on what I read in other reviews; I sleep on the side. However, I had a period of very lousy sleep and desperately needed an improvement, which the unfortunately did not offer.
I think it’s nice that they supply three different sizes to acommodate different ear shapes. Unfortunately, even the largest pair did not feel like they properly shut out sound for me, regardless of how I twisted and turned them – in the end, I had to use pincers to pull them out, having gotten them stuck pretty far in.
It should be noted that I’m used to molded earplugs for music practice, yet they also compare unfavourably to the foam earplugs I use for sleep. As have been noted by other reviewers, after having them in my ears for some time (in a position similar to that of the brochure and without adequate muting, mind), I started to experience an increasing pain in my ears.
I don’t think I had them in for more than an hour, yet it bordered on unbearable and was hardly fitting for going to sleep. I’ve read that they supposedly grow softer or that one gets more used to them after about two weeks, but I can hardly see how that is possible without using pain killers.
My main purpose for buying them was to improve my sleep. As mentioned before, I sleep on the side. I discourage anyone who does the same from buying these. Even without the problems mentioned above (bad fit and muting, painful use), they make it very difficult to find comfortable sleeping positions; they are pressed into the ear by resting on the side, for which they are too hard.
The refund policy is brilliant, though. Within a day from complaining, i got a full refund on the product, even without returning the goods.
I recently bought the discovery pack after a horribly loud theatre experience and took the ear plugs to two concerts, this is how it went: 1. First of all, I was pleasantly surprised to find that all three sizes fit well into my ear.
I usually struggle even with in-ear headphones but the ear plugs fit really well and are comfortable to wear even with my tragus piercing. 2. So I chose my perfect size and took the other two pairs to hand out to my friend for the concerts.
There was a size for her as well. 3. During the concerts I did not continuously use them. I needed something to muffle screaming from fans and reduce the noise of the music. Which the happy ear plugs did, making it easier to listen to the actual music.
As I said, I did not wear them the entire time because I still had the feeling of “missing something”, like atmosphere, but it was a great relief for my ears to out them in every once in a while. And since they are super easy to handle and come with a small box it’s really quick to put them in and out.
My friend left hers in the entire time and she was really grateful to have them. 4. One downside to the plugs was that it is basically impossible to talk with someone in an already incredibly loud surrounding while wearing them.
But once again, super easy to quickly take them out. All in all I think I need some time to get used to the earplugs. I have no comparison to other brands but was pleased with the service these provided for their cost.
I redact one star because it felt like maybe they were cancelling out a bit too much noise so I couldn’t keep them in all the time. Will still continue to use them.

Small and light Comfortable all day long Tapered design for flexible fit Ideal for mid to high level noises Bright orange color NRR 30 100% PVC free This product also available in an earplug dispenser.
I ride motorcycles and need a quality ear plug as the wind noise in my helmet is very loud. I have tried most of the available foam plugs with mixed results. Then I read about the Moldex ear plugs and decided to give them a try.
These are hands down the very best that money can buy. They are easy to install and are more comfortable than many of the others. Plus they are easy on your wallet too. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

Bought this product 2 weeks ago. Ordered online, collected 2 hours later. Smooth process. Nice staff. I have been using this product for 2 weeks. I am used to very high quality headphones. So I pick up alot more finer things than the average user would notice.
The sound quality is good however i feel like the bass is a little flat and the treble sharp however this can be fixed with an equaliser. I dont have any complaints. I think its definitely worth the money.
The build quality seems brilliant and has 2 years warranty. It is very loud and doesn’t crackle or have any noise and cancels background noise well. Fits comfortably round the ear, the buds can irritate if you use it for several hours (like me) they do give multiple buds but I haven’t changed them round.
I use these earphones on set, for booming and sound utility work. With a nice variety of ear plugs, you can fit these bad boys snug and comfortable. The other brands famous in ear monitor was too big for my ear, this one is smaller.
I also like the flexy cable better. Sound quality is top notch. Recommended.
It is simple enough for anyone to use. Our portable battery dispenser makes it easy to replace your battery wherever and whenever you choose. About the size of a silver dollar, the Energizer EZ Change dispenser fits in almost any pocket or purse.
The simple design of this hearing aid battery dispenser takes all the hassle and frustration out of handling such small batteries. Magnet holds battery securely. Thumb slide pushes out one battery at a time.
Clear Cover lets you view how many batteries are left. Dispenser has a contoured base for better grip. Compact for easy carrying. Works with most hearing aid styles and is available in every battery size.
Battery goes straight from dispenser to hearing aid. Dispenser keeps batteries fresh by protecting them from dust and dirt.
Usage Tips: To active remove tab. Allow 1 minute for battery to reach full power.
(1) Keep way from children. If swallowed, promptly see doctor; have doctor phone (800) 498-8666. (2) Do not dispose of in fire or charge may explode or leak causing injury.

I had honestly never thought about hearing aid batteries. Then my husband got his first set of hearing aids. They were basic and he used generic batteries that I purchased from the hearing aid company.
Then he upgraded to more sophisticated hearing aids that use blue tooth technology and require more power. We were going through their batteries like crazy. We had to store “just in case” batteries everywhere.
The audiologist pulled me aside and recommended that I try the new improved Energizer batteries with zero mercury and longer life. My husband loved the eight pack snap out battery carrier that was easy to tote or store.
I loved that the recyclable card that the batteries attached to was larger and easier to read. He had never used the usage tip to “activate the battery by removing the tab and allowing a minute for it to reach full power” before inserting it because it had been too small to read and wasn’t readily noticeable on the generic batteries.
I appreciate the color coded tabs that indicate size as it makes it easier to purchase the correct batteries. There is a thicker zinc coating also that protects against corrosion and diminishes waste of energy.
All that said, they really do last longer and are easier to use. They hold their power for up to 4 years in storage, so I buy several at a time to store at home, the office, etc. We are very careful with our disposal of the spent batteries as they are still small and could be swallowed by children or pets.
I’ve been wearing hearing aids for years. Energizer is one of the top, long lasting batteries that are great for my hearing aids. I put one in 7 days ago and it’s still running strong. With other brands, I have to change them after 5 days.
I wear my hearing aids 7 days a week and anywhere from 10 to 18 hours per day. I need batteries that last long. Without my hearing aids, I can’t hear much at all unless people scream at me or I have to turn my TV on full blast to hear it.
I am very happy with these batteries and I will continue purchasing them. I definitely recommend these batteries to anyone that needs reliable and long lasting hearing aid batteries.
Bought the Petite size along with a pair of smaller child size MusicMates to replace a set of original MusicMates (those were good, but didn’t fit me well, pushed themselves out and irritated my ears).
I love loud music but hate the after effects so I always use earplugs. I use them at nightclubs, pubs, concerts and more recently at events like Pub Choir in Brisbane. Previously I relied on foam earplugs.
Well I’m glad I made the switch. These plugs are much more comfortable and effective than the large MusicMates I was using. They are easy to fit without fiddling around and the tab makes them easy to remove.
I tried all three filter types and chose to stick with the black for maximum effect as they achieve great volume reduction without compromising audio quality or restricting speech. The clear were ok, still allowing in background noises, while red are roughly on par with the levels I get from the original MusicMates.
While costing slightly more, I greatly appreciate that a set includes three plugs, meaning I have a spare if I ever lose one. The included case is perfect, slightly smaller than the MM’s and dual chambered to store filters as well.
Overall I’m really pleased with these and highly recommend them to anyone with smaller ear canals.
These quality Ear Defenders have been specially designed for use in even the noisiest of working environments. The large ear protectors feature broad sealing rings that are filled with soft plasctic foam to ensure low contact pressure, keeping your ears safe and comfortable.
This ear protection has been approved to EN352-1 for overhead wear.
I bought these on the off chance they would work good enough for the few times I use loud machines i. e. metal cutting chop saw and circular saw. I am pleased to say that this pair of defenders is well worth the money I paid.
You need to look at the decibel rating to judge if ANY pair will perform as you expect, these have a rating of 35DB. The higher the number, the more noise they should cut out. Cutting metal with a chop saw gives a lot of high pitched screaming in your ears I find, so a rating of 35DB is ideal for me.
Indeed, using my milwaukee metal cutting circular saw is now a delight, rather than an ordeal for my ears. Any ear defenders will help, but look for the decibel rating to help judge the level of protection.
They are a reasonably tight fit on your head mine is a largish size of head but wearing this model for a long time is ok and not too tight for it to be distracting too much. Once I tried it, i realised I would never go without them again, if I could help it.
I highly recommend these ear defenders, but ANY type of ear defenders are better than none, just look for the rating number for noise reduction.
Great product. I have been using these with a mitre saw, circular saw and a router. The noise reduction is excellent allowing you to concentrate on your work without the distracting machine noise being annoying or harmful.
The advantage for me is that they dont make you feel isolated from the outside world whilst providing around a 35dB reduction in annoying frequencies. People tend to use eye protection but forget their hearing until its too late.
Dont be one of them, get some of these. I also find them very comfortable. Hope this helps.
Although initially a lot of clamping force on the head, this can be lessened by bending the steel headband out a little. These are then very comfortable and the overall noise reduction is excellent. They are a bit mor expensive than the basic ones but your ears are worth it !.
The buid quality is also very good, these will last !!!.
