After a lot of research, it came down to this or Beyerdynamics dt770 pro. And I chose this over that as it had detachable cable, swivel earcups which I really need as I often have to remove my headphones.

Now I do have to say, the leather materials and the tight headband maynot be ideal for long usage, you may have some discomfort in wearing it continuously for hours. But other than that, The audio quality is definietly so good that I am now listening to my playlist with a very different perspective (idk if it makes sense but yes).

And for anyone who is looking to get their first Studio Monitor headphones will be very much satisfied. It offers a very flat sound which is not bad at all, it only means it replicates the voices and instrument as original as possible.

That is exactly what I needed as I need to mix my instrument and vocal tracks. And for all Audiophiles who would need their songs to sound close to original you would love this too! TLDR: If this is your first studio monitor, definitely go for it!.

(Based on 9 years of using M50’s) Sound: 0/10 These are not monitor headphones, what you have here is Audio Technica taking the name and legendary status of the original M50’s (which were famous for the flat frequency and wide sound stage, at an affordable price), and using that existing branding and legacy to sell their own version of Beats by Dre.

It’s a real big step backwards for the ATH-M50(x) headphone. The thing that frustrates me the most is that the original M50 sound isn’t gone from their lineup, it just got moved from the M50 down to the M40 line.

That’s not really about the sound so we’ll skip that for now. My only Audio Technica alternative for what I’m needing, is the ATH-M40x, which has a very similar sound to the original M50 I’m so happy with.

The problem however, is that the build quality of the m40x is not comparable to the quality of the M50x. The 40x has smaller headphones, a narrower, less durable and less comfortable headband, and weaker can hinges lead it to more frequent breaks and needs for replacement.

With all that said, I’ve already submitted my return for these headphones, and will be contacting Audio Technica to try and purchase replacement hinges. I’d rather spend $20 on parts to fix my existing monitors which still sound great, than dumping $170 on something that should be the same, but sounds completely different.

Since M40’s are prone to breaking and since the M50’s have become a victim of popular culture, I really hope they have replacement parts for me. Otherwise, I’m likely going to Sennheiser or Sony. I’ll make sure to update this review with whatever alternative I find that I feel best matches the original M50.

bland no issue with these headphones though sound quality – sound is already in a sweet spot but you can use equalizer to boost bass if you prefer it certain way value for money – yeah it sure was value for money, used them literally every day for 4 years avg.

How come it took this long for anybody to develop flesh colored bluetooth headphones?! When the first small bluetooth headsets for calls actually came out, I spray-painted one of them flesh color. Of course, that bright stupid blue blinking light always defeated the purpose of being discreet.

I finally received my air,tomes and I got the perfect color by trying on the virtual try on. From 3 feet away, the headphones look like they are part of my ear. Aside from them sounding great already, I can easily blend in the office and in any attire without looking stand-offish listening to music.

Suggestion, can you put a tiny hole for a metal ring or lanyard or carabiner for the case? Or at least sell covers for the cases with carabiners. I am an audiophile and usually listen to high-end wired headphones on DAC players.

The JLABS signature EQ setting on this is excellent! Nice highs and good lows. If you like bass, the bass EQ is deep enough, sometimes over-bearing. But for Electronica, Jazz, Classic Rock, the signature EQ setting on this thing is perfect! This is my first JLABS so I’m surprised they sound like this for this price.

Mind blown! Also, make the different colors bigger on your website so that we can compare them against our skin also with our phone display aside from the virtual try-on. I hope you guys will keep making flesh colored devices for years to come.

I recently purchased these at the start of August and yall! I have them on me 24/7! They last me days without having to re-charge. I’m always on the go and constantly take calls and listen to music. The touch sensors are ON POINT! I don’t need my phone in my hand to do anything.

They have built in small micro mics. I’ve never had bad audio on a call. I can honestly say you get exactly what’s advertised. I’m so glad I also ordered the Lilac ones from the POP collection. Definitely worth every penny and more.

I am going to start my review stating that what I use them for, might not be entirely what they were designed for. It shows these being used while exercising, however I use mine connected to my TV which has both my computer as well as my gaming console connected to it.

PROS 1. light weight – doesn’t cause discomfort to my ears (I cannot wear earbuds or on the ear headphones as they cause pain to my ears after about 5 minutes. I can wear these for hours without pain) 2.

The ability to wear them and also hold a conversation with those around me. I can sit and game while hearing my children or my wife (cannot do when having over other types of headphones on) 3. Battery charges fairly quickly CONS 1.

One size fits all – smaller heads (children) or larger adults (larger heads) will likely have issues with these. Try them at the store first to see if they fit. 2. Not able to adjust the back – prevents you from sitting in a recliner as that pushes them forward away from your ears and causes discomfort because the back of mine has a sharp edge from manufacturing.

3. Short battery life – they charge faster than some of my over the ear headphones, but they only seem to hold a charge for a couple hours, where some of my over the ear headphones last days. Take away: These headphones are pretty much designed for exercise or those not in a reclining position.

I have worn them driving and they work okay as I do not rest my head on the seat. So standing, exercising, sitting in the upright position (perhaps at work) they seem fine. The short battery life causes some grief as they only last around 3 hours or so while gaming.

The ability to listen to my content as well as the people around me far out weighs the cons mentioned. I can sit playing a game or watching a show, while my wife sits beside me and I do not bother her and we can still have a conversation or if a child calls for help, I know immediately.

I just wish they would come out with a product that was similar to this that you could adjust the back to fit around you skull instead of sit away so you could enjoy them while relaxing and not just on the go.

I previously had the Air headphones, and they were pretty good. I recently got these, but I have noticed an important issue that the Air headphones did not have: When a sound is played through these headphones after a minute or so of prior silence, the first half second or so of audio is cut off.

This makes these headphones unacceptable for receiving voice directions while driving, for example (and not playing anything else). There is also a noticeable delay in the audio, which makes these less than ideal for watching video of people talking (bad lip-sync) or for playing video games.

This delay seems slightly better than what the Air headphones had, though. These two issues mean that these are not general-purpose headphones. However they are very good at what I primarily use them for, which is listening to music while I work.

The sound quality is great, and I am able to hear both my music and my surroundings. P. S. , after answering “how easy are your headphones to use?”: There are a few issues I have encountered while using the buttons: -Double-pressing the multi-function button is supposed to skip to the next song.

However double-pressing too quickly acts as a single press so I have to intentionally move slowly in order to skip a song. -Holding the buttons for power on/off takes too long in my opinion. -The headphones do not say “pairing” when entering pairing mode.

The instructions for entering pairing mode do not address this. In addition to this, the headphones do say “batter [high|medium|low]” immediately after power on; this is a change from how the Air headphones work, which together with the lack of a “pairing” sound, made me think I was not getting to pairing mode.

-It would also be nice if pressing the buttons required less force.

Decided to pick up another set on black Friday on the excellent deal. My third set, I love my Aeropex headphones, absolutely love them. I mostly listen to podcasts, so for me the sound quality is perfect.

I was forced to find a different kind of headphone after I got a wicked ear infection from my earbuds. I found the Aeropex and I haven’t looked back. The battery life is fantastic, I wear these almost all day long.

I even wear them to bed to listen to sleep stories to help with my insomnia and I can hear everything without disturbing boyfriend. They are light as a feather and so comfortable, I often forget they are on my head.

I think my kids think they are going to just become permanently attached to my skull, I have them on all the time. The start and stop button control is super easy to use, the volume control is easy to use.

I’ve converted several friends to Aftershokz after I let them try my headphones. Just having the ability to hear what is going on around you while listening to music or podcasts is such an asset, especially in my job as a custodian in a very public building.

I no longer worry that I won’t hear someone in a place they shouldn’t be. If I have anything to gripe about, I wish the mini’s were in stock and came in more colors, apparently I have a dainty little head.

I suppose many people could complain about the proprietary magnetic charger, but after getting three pairs, I have six charging cables, I think I’m pretty vested in this at this point. They really just add to the ease of use, no fumbling with ports and plugs, the charger finds where it’s supposed to go on it’s own.

I purchased this set of Soundcore Q10 headphones to connect to my Amazon Fire Stick. They connected easily. The volume control works great. Next I paired them with my phone. I listen to online radio and watch Youtube videos.

The music sounds terrific. The bass is amazing at the normal setting if you want more bass just click the button on the headphones. When I first turned on the headphones they announced the battery charge was normal and according to my phone the charge was 70 percent.

I have listened to music for over six hours and the charge is still at 70 percent. I believe you would get sixty hours of use from a full charge. The quick charge feature is a plus. I did purchase the three year protection plan as well.

I would the buy the Soundcore Q10 headphones again.

These sound pretty awesome. The bass is powerful and enjoyable. Right off the box I could tell this were in a different league. The box was fancy, the charger cable and aux felt fancy and nice. The headset also made me smile and my brain was having a party chanting “Finally a good pair of headphones”.

It was already charged so I was able to play some tunes. It has volume bottoms, bass up bottom and power bottom. Everytime you click a bottom you will hear this fancy bristish lady say ” Power off” Bass up, Volume up and Etc.

If you are tired of crappy expensive head phones this are the ones for you. If you also like bass in your music look no futher.

I have not charged these to see how well they keep a charge since they are a Christmas gift. However, I did plug them in to a device with the audio cord that came with them and the sound , in my opinion, is VERY good.

Better than any head phones we have in our house at the time. Hopefully they hold a charge well and work well connecting to blue tooth Christmas morning. They are made very well. Seem heavy duty and not cheaply made.

You can’t beat these for $19. 99 which is what I paid at Walmart. I do not regret buying these at all. Granted you could pay $100 and get something with better sound quality, but I feel these sound great for what I paid.

Here is a summary of how I feel about these now that I’ve had them for a while. Sound Quality: Again considering the price point they sound really good. Their sound curvature is what I would call a little warm.

Almost as if the concentration is on the mid-bass and midrange area. They have adequate bass but, although adequate, I would prefer a little crisper highs. That having been said, they still sound very good for $20 headphones.

Comfort: I feel that they are comfortable and I could wear them for an extended length of time. I haven’t tried working out with them on (that’s what my Bose Soundsports are for 🙂 ). The pads get my ears warm but that is just to be expected for on-ear headphones.

Build Quality: They seem to be well built and look good (mine are the black ones). My only concern would be the thin metal looking wire parts that slide up and down to adjust the ear pieces. The look like they could break if handled to harshly.

Summary: Overall I give these guys five stars and would recommend these to anyone wanting a good pair of budget headphones. They look good and sound quite good. And it seems that the general consensus is that JLabs customer service is very good (fortunately I haven’t had to find out yet).

these headphones can play bass, mids, and treble extremely well. If you play enough bass (and have a good amplifier in your PC), these headphones will actually vibrate; they also don’t distort very much when playing bass alongside mids and treble, these can play sub-bass very well too.

These headphones can also get extremely loud and bass usually won’t drop the volume unless it’s extremely hard, which is a good sign for these. The cable is quite strong as I’ve had these since late may of last year and they still work fine even though I am very hard on my headphones (drops, tangles, cord getting yanked, etc), the braids on the cord are frayed everywhere under the microphone which doesn’t look very good.

These headphones are extremely comfortable after all that time but I’ve had to take the ear cups and wash them out since they’d lose softness after a while. I like the 90 degree cable since my keyboard has an audio jack on it and I don’t have to worry about the cord straining or anything.

I usually use these while gaming on my PC since they have great quality sound and are really comfortable. I’ve pushed these extremely hard with bass and I’ve not blown the speakers yet. One big problem with my headset is that the mic hasn’t ever worked since the day I bought them but my brothers mic works fine, I think the warranty covers that but I never needed the mic so yeah.

I just bought a pair of Neon headphones after breaking an old Sony headphone. I insisted on a wired headphone because my smart phone has an off-line FM radio receiver chip. Not a phone app but an actual chip that brings in local over-the air FM radio.

The catch is it requires wired headphones to be the antenna, since the phone has no antenna. Didn’t want to spend $100 or more because I tend to lose or break stuff like this, plus I don’t like buying electronics over the internet because of the headaches with returning merchandise.

Decided to give JLAB a swing from a local store. I listened to Pink Floyd’s classic album “Wish You Were Here” on the way home. One word: WOW! I was really impressed with the volume, clarity, and separation of the audio, especially on a highly compressed MP3 version of a very technical recording.

Good bass, not overpowered fake pumped-up bass like some expensive phones (a brand that starts with “B” and vastly overpriced). Just great sound. Like I said the separation of highs, mids, and lows was very impressive.

I have a hifiman Sundara, and was using that for listening to music. I am not sure if I am an audiophile because I don’t have that kind of setup or numerous audio devices to listen to music. I mainly strive for clean and balanced sound.

With the Hifiman Sundara I was not able to immerse myself in my music as it is a open back and I was using it in normal household condition with no isolation. That was the main reason to consider a closed back headphone, I decided to buy the beyerdynamic dt 700 pro x for the perfect balanced sound that I could hear from all reviews but spending 26K for nearly same sound as the dt 770 pro did not make sense to me.

I was confused between the dt 770 pro 80 ohm and 250 ohm version. All reviews pointed 80 ohm to be the best for music listening. While going through some reviews in different forums there was one person who clearly mentioned the differences between the different impedance models.

The 250 ohm is more balanced with a greater sense of depth and seperation with a little more openness. That review made my buying decision and I bought the dt 770 250 ohm model. As I already have a Ifi Zen Can powering the headphone was not an issue.

After receiving the headphone initially I felt the sound a little piercing in the high frequency range (as I was used to hearing the Sundaras). I used an android EQ (Wavelet app) brought down the 9. 6k band -2.

5 DB and now it sounds perfect. Amazing clearity, depth and sound stage with a little more distinctive bass than the Sundaras. I am happy with this purchase and satisfied with the sound of the headphones.

I bought these headphones to compliment my HD 599 SEs. I was not able to use the open-backs when there is someone else in the room / when my PC spins up due to the noise. I resigned myself to the banes of a closed back headphone and bought these.

Lo and behold ! Amazing soundstage with an airy sound. While do miss the soundstage of the 599s these are not lacking in any way , especially for being closed backs. The build quality is amazing – they are built like tanks and can survive many a year in your collection if treated a little carefully.

The only downside of the build is that the cable is not detachable. Version: I bought the 32ohm version so that I can drive them off my phone/tab and the pleather that comes with the 32ohm version has outstanding noise isolation.

I also wanted a shorter cable in case I use them at the office. Sound : Outstanding , tight punchy bass but not muddy in any way at all. Listening to Bad guy by Billie Eilish felt like I was listening to another layer of the sub bass for the first time.

The mids are clean and unpolluted but quite unremarkable. In songs with heavy vocals, I did miss the mids of my HD 599. These are bright sounding in the treble region – almost to the point of being a flaw.

It was outstanding for my music choices it did hurt my sibling’s ears half way through Anoushka Shankar’s Monsoon Album. It depends on personal tolerability I guess. Although this was easily fixed by eq, please be aware if you tend to be treble sensitive.

Amp needs : They(32ohm version) are driven to a pretty high volume very easily by an iPhone and the apple adapter. I use a Fiio E10K on my desk and unlike the HD599SE, these don’t sound significantly different with and without an AMP.

I can hear slightly tighter and cleaner bass on my E10K but that may just be a bias. Cons : -Bright , sibilant sound at high volumes. Fixable by EQ -Fixed cable.

Newegg shipped quickly and it was packaged well. I burned the headphones in for about 30 hours before using them as I always notice a big difference in warmth, mids and lows. I bought these cans as a complement to my Sennheiser HD598, which are in the same price range, since the 598s are slightly lacking in deep bass, even though I use an amp.

The Beyers sound good, but not as good as I was hoping. The Beyers definitely have more bass, being closed back, while the Senns are open backed. However, I found them lacking in mids and highs compared to the Senns.

And even though they are known to have a large soundstage for closed backed phones, they can’t compare to the Sennheiser’s soundstage. But what made the final choice for me was the comfort level. Even though both sets weigh about the same, the Beyers felt far heavier for some reason.

They also made my ears sweat. So I sent them back. Newegg was great about returning them. No issues there at all.

I seen a review of COWIN SE7 headphones on YouTube and I must say the review was spot on. These headphones are great!!! A Point of reference, I do own a set of Bose top end headphones (my so called Sunday go to meeting headphones, an old school expression for only use on special occasions.

For me that would be long distant traveling). I also have a 17 year old pair of Sony headphones that I still use regularly. I’m 75+ years old and over the years have always had a good set of headphones.

I must say the SE7 when way beyond my expectations for the price. – Sound quality. The SE7 are very comfortable and the sound is unbelievably good to me. I have never liked loud music and have always look for clarity of sound and a clear deep bass sound at mid level volume.

The SE7 checked that box for me. While the Bose are a very good, to me they are little bass heavy for my taste which make the bass sound unclear, just a heavy thump. I prefer the bass quality of the SE7.

Also with the SE7 there is a difference in sound between the Bluetooth connection and the in-line connection, I think the Bluetooth connection has a richer sounds. (In-line or Aux connection is connecting the headphones directly to your device.

In my case that would be a iPhone, iPad, and Onkyo home theater system)- Noise canceling function, there is a slight difference in sound between the on/off but for me it’s nothing to write home about.

The ear cushions fit so nicely that for me it just naturally blocks out the surrounding sound at mid level volume without the cancellation on (hope this is not due to my age and earring). Another checked box for me.

– Volume control. There is a difference with the volume controls between the in-line and Bluetooth. In the Bluetooth mode the headphones volume control controls the device volume. In the in-line mode the volume controls on the headphones are separate from the device volume controls and you may have to adjust both to achieve the desired volume.

When I plug in the headphones in on my iPhone or iPad the volume is automatically reduced on the device (must be a safety feature). The headphones volume controls will not change the volume on the device.

Didn’t like. – This may be just my thing but I like that all of the controls on the headphones are all on one side (the right side) another checked box for me. – Pairing. The SE7 pairing function is easy to use with no problems.

Once the SE7 Bluetooth ID is set up on your device, when you turn on the headphones it will automatically reconnect to your device. What I found so far is that it will only pair with one device at a time.

I bounce between my iPhone and iPad and have set up the SE7 Bluetooth ID connection on both. It seems that when I tune on the headphones the Bluetooth It will only automatically pair with the last device l use.

I have gotten used to concurrent device pairing. So this a bummer for me. – Battery life. The headphones battery life for the Bluetooth function isn’t a concern for me because I can use the in-line connection and keep going.

The battery percentage on the phone is more my concern. I think the COWIN SE7 are a great set of headphones and now I’m wondering what to do with the BOSE!.

I needed headphones for my now-remote work and school household, and for listening to audio books, and drowning out construction noises around me, so I started doing research and I agonized over all options! There are so many choices and price points.

Just great. – Bluetooth range is so much better than our Sony headphones. My phone’s battery was low, so had to plug it in and with an audio book that always worries me because it generally means I’ll get spotty connection as I wonder around the house doing chores – but not with these! We have a large house, and I walked all over all 3 floors while my phone stayed on the 2nd floor plugged in.

Never lost connection – it’s so seamless. – Controls on the headset work great. Super easy to use, easy to feel for the right buttons while wearing and adjust to your needs. Pause the book, turn up or down the volume, turn on or off noise cancelling.

Soooooo I’m just gonna lead with the obvious: People are loud and annoying. I don’t think that’s necessarily anyone’s MO, but here we are. It is HARD (for me, anyway) for me to get things done in noisy environments, as I tend to have a pretty short attention span, and am fairly easily distracted by what others are doing, loud sounds, shiny things, etc.

I discovered the game-changing powers of a good set of headphones shortly after purchasing a decent set of bluetooth earbuds, but was disappointed in the battery life when I went to try to wear them for work.

Enter the SE7s. Not only are they a simply gorgeous shade of teal, but they also have excellent battery life, pretty solid noise cancelling abilities (anecdotal story: apparently my boyfriend had been shouting to our neighbors via bullhorn –don’t ask– and I was completely oblivious in my home office bubble), and pretty fantastic sound quality.

The microphone works pretty well for video calls, too. They come with a kinda medium-soft case, but I bought a hard shelled case for better protection as they get thrashed around in my backpack. They’ve held up pretty well over the year that I’ve had them!Are these the most noise insulating headphones in the world? Probably not.

My work requires me to sit in front of a computer for sometimes 10+ hours a day. The scope of the work requires my full attention and focus. Coworkers obviously feel differently or just don’t need to focus as hard as I do.

They have multiple, loud conversations and have coughing fits that could qualify for Guinness World Records in several categories including decibel levels (yes, we measured and they exceed the OSHA required safe work environment levels), number of consecutive coughs and number of uncovered mouth coughs.

Yeah, disgusting, right?Previous to these headphones I had an on-the-ear set and, trust me, they were no match for the distractions I was dealing with daily. I figured since my work well-being was involved it would be OK to do all my research for these while on the clock.

I was looking for a good balance of durability, quality and price point. As many of you probably feel, there are almost too many choices sometimes and we get to the point we become paralyzed in our decision-making especially when we cannot try something hands-on.

I knew I wanted over-the-ear, wireless and noise-cancelling. I didn’t want to spend more than $100 but even with that criteria the are a plethora of choices. After reading too many different reviews on too many different sets of headphones, I chose the Cowin E7 Pro.

I say too many because I found these early on in my research and I should have stopped wasting time and bought them and been done but, of course, with so many decisions I wanted to look into others but I basically used these to compare all the others against.

Comfort: I wear reading glasses while at work and while these do not have cut-outs for glasses I do not feel discomfort on most days but maybe on an 11-12 hour day I will notice the pressure against the eyeglasses.

They are not overly heavy even wearing all day. They fit very comfortably over the ears. Quality: They are well-built, high quality and comfortableEase-of-use: I was able to pair to my workstation (bluetooth) in minutes and I shut them off each night and when I turn them back on in the morning, they auto-connect in secondsBattery-life: They state 30 hours but I generally place them on the USB charger every other night.

I did got into a third day once but the low-battery beep halfway through the third day became annoying so I recommend charging each night or every other night. Sound: The sound quality is great. If you wear $500 studio headphones (I have), these will not compete.

For under $100 I cannot imagine them sounding any better. Great range and bass is good. Controls: On/Off, charging port (micro-USB), volume +/- and pair button. All work well and there is also a 1/8″ jack for wired connection.

Overall rating: A. These meet or exceed my expectations!Result: My well-being at work has improved immensely by being able to almost completely isolate myself from the many distractions – though the record-level coughs still find their way through on occasion, I can just turn up the music and pretty much drowned it out!Conclusion: If, like me, you are seeking over-the-ear, wireless, noise-cancelling headphones, you cannot go wrong with the E7 Pro!.

Compared to the original E7, this newer model has better sound quality, improved build quality and overall is more appealing than the original E7. WHAT’S INCLUDEDIncluded w/ the headphones is a nice hard shell carrying case with a mesh divider inside to help keep cords/cables easy to get to.

There’s also a manual, USB charging cable and AUX cable which allows you to listen to these headphones even when they’re not charged. The included cables are basic and nothing fancy here. DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITYMy first impression of these is that they have a bulky look to them.

And this is mostly do to the size of the ear cups. The ear cups are made of a faux leather material which is comfortable feeling around the ears. They do allow you to swivel them 90 degrees so that they can lay flat for storage or for around your neck.

The headband has a nice amount of cushioning and can be stretched out quite a bit! This was impressive as you can really stretch out the headband w/out damaging or breaking it. One of the design upgrades with the E7 pro model is a brushed metal look on the outside of the ear cups, which does look sharp.

And although the construction is mostly plastic, the headphones still have enough heft and weight to them so that you feel like they’re a step up from less expensive plastic headphones. COMFORTWhat I notice when first wearing these is how comfortable they are.

While some have mentioned the clamping force is a bit tight, I would disagree. There’s enough to keep the headphones from sliding off your head, they sit snugly around your hears, but yet they’re not putting any excessive pressure against your head either.

And the thick ear pads to work really well and giving a nice comfortable listening experience. The challenge is that after about 45 minutes of wearing these or so you can start to develop a hot spot on the top of the head.

And I believe this is due to the larger ear cups and the way the weight is distributed. This is one of those things that will affect each person differently, but if you’re someone like myself who is prone to discomfort underneath the top of the headband, that’s something to consider if you plan on wearing these all day long.

But still, whenever I first put these on they’re always super comfortable and feel quite cozy around my ears. SOUND QUALITYCompared to the original E7, you’ll notice the sound quality has improved noticeably.

The biggest difference is that it sounds less ‘tinny’ and music sounds more balanced overall. So you don’t have some frequencies massively overpowering other frequencies. You also get a wider frequency response w/ the E7 pro because it now has 45mm drivers instead of a 40mm driver (which is what the original E7 had).

So as a result you do get a fuller and more rich sound compared to the original E7. Specifically, one of the most noticeable differences in the lows is that the bass is less boomy and cleaner sounding.

This makes a huge improvement when listening to any contemporary genres of music that have more low end presence. Just this along would be enough of a reason to upgrade to the E7 pro as it’s a really welcome improvement.

The mids are still the weak point of these headphones. Though slightly improved over the original E7, vocals as an example can sound a tad withdrawn and veiled. Still, compared to other ANC headphones in this price range, mid-range performance is still adequate.

BATTERY LIFE & BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITYAlthough the E7 pro claims to have a battery of 30 hours, in my experience it was closer to 25 hours. But this is still very impressive considering these headphones have 45mm drivers to power.

Technology wise these headphones utilize NFC and Bluetooth 4. 0. It would have been a real plus if they would have used the newer 4. 2 (or even 4. 1) Bluetooth technology as those are more efficient and can often be found on cheaper headphones.

But I wouldn’t consider that a deal breaker as Bluetooth 4. 0 still works very well. NOISE CANCELLATIONThe ANC feature is a big reason for getting these headphones and fortunately this is an area that the E7 pro also handles well.

Though the ANC is not as good as Bose (Bose noise cancelling headphones are still the best in this regard), Bose headphones cost a lot more. The noise cancelling is most noticeable when noise has a ‘droning’ type noise to it.

So traffic driving buy, the whirl of a fan or office air conditioner as an example. Conversations around the office are definitely muted but female voices less so than male voices. Also, another important improvement over the original E7 is that the sound quality isn’t as poor w/ the ANC turned on as it was with the original E7 headphones.

Here again, this could be a reason to upgrade if ANC is something you like to use quite a bit. BOTTOM LINEFirst, if you’re trying to decide between these and the original E7, these are absolutely work the extra money.

The ANC and sound quality improvements alone make that a no brainer if you can afford to spend a little mo.

Consider this a 4. 5 star review. These are some pretty excellent headphones for the price, and I was pleasantly surprised when I received mine – they’re a bit better than I expected in almost every way.

They do have a couple of minor flaws – one of which seems not so minor to some people – and the sound quality isn’t *quite* as good as the best headphones on the market. That said, the best headphones can run hundreds of dollars, and these are less than a single Franklin.

First, the sound quality without noise cancelling on. It’s bass heavy, a little bit muddy, but still the mids and highs come through clearly. Most headphones with muddy bass are really muddy all the way through the frequency range, but these aren’t – if you can deal with the bass, the rest of the music sounds great.

I also haven’t detected any sibilance in the high end, which cheap drivers can often give you. I’ve learned that you need to be careful how you test audio output equipment these days because many modern recordings already sound like garbage, and garbage in gives you garbage out.

My go-to track for testing is Boston’s “Hitch a Ride” from the days when engineers knew how to record stuff and off a very old, unremastered CD produced before the “loudness war” was a thing. I know this recording itself sounds amazing.

And it sounds pretty great through these headphones. Really spacious sound stage, very good dynamics, crystal clear guitars, drums and vocals, but just that muddy bass that’s a bit overemphasized, and not really at the most pleasing frequencies for it to be overemphasized.

Still, I expected worse for this price and with all the other features these headphones have!Other recordings sound better or worse, of course – these headphones are definitely good enough to distinguish easily between a good and bad recording.

If a recording already has too much bass, though, then it’s going to sound really boomy and kind of unpleasant with these. But, well, that’s the same problem you’d have with a pair of Beats, and lots of people seem to like those.

Funnily enough, one way to kill the bass is by turning noise canceling on. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that just for audio quality because it does some other things to the sound as well, but they do still sound pretty good with the noise canceling engaged.

I have a pair of Sony MDR-10RNC wired noise canceling headphones, which I absolutely *love* for their noise canceling but not so much for their sound quality, and the E7 Pros blow the doors off the Sonys for sound quality with noise canceling on.

The noise canceling itself seems to work pretty well, but you have to know why noise canceling exists on headphones at all, and that’s for flying. That’s it. Nobody’s making noise canceling circuitry that’s tuned for quieting your co-workers or muting a TV that your family’s watching; I don’t care what the product page here says.

The circuitry is tuned for low frequencies, such as you’d hear from a jet engine inside a plane – that’s what noise canceling was invented for and that’s what it’s still good at. I tested these phones against my Sonys using an app on my cell phone connected to my home audio system that gave me airplane-like low frequencies, and these seemed to do basically just as well from what I could tell.

They really cut a lot of the low frequency roar. I’m anxious to try them on an actual airplane now, but I might be able to just totally replace my beloved Sonys for travel. But this is why some people say the noise canceling works great and other people say it doesn’t do anything.

You have to understand the purpose of it, and use it for that purpose. It’s not for shutting out life; it’s for reducing fatigue caused by engine and wind noise on airplanes. Ironically, there is a little added mid-frequency white noise with noise canceling on.

You don’t notice this when you’re in a noisy environment; in fact, my Sonys do it too and I didn’t even know it until I tested them against the E7 Pros. It actually sounds like it may be the exact same circuity in both sets of headphones, although I’m not sure if it is.

I do have the same problem that some have mentioned where quick turns of my head cut the sound out with noise canceling on. Honestly, to me this is not a dealbreaker because I really need to whip my head around fast for it to happen, and I just normally don’t move that way – especially not when sitting in an airplane seat, which is where I’d be using the noise canceling.

Maybe some individual units are worse, but if you do want to use the noise canceling while jogging or something (which I wouldn’t recommend), then even the way mine are might not work for you. I do wish it wasn’t a problem at all, but it’s one of the few real operational flaws of these headphones and I can live with it.

As for the Bluetooth functionality, it seems to work as you’d expect. Turn Bluetooth on, wait for the pairing light to blink, then set your device to pair and that’s it. It’ll automatically connect.

Amazing timbre, generally pleasing tonality, light weight and great comfort. Only a few nitpicks. Firstly, There is a level of midrange shout that is apparent. It does not hurt the experience too much, and will vary from person to person, but the elevations in frequency response at 1-2kHz and 3-4kHz will irritate some ears.

These elevations are better left alone in my opinion, as EQing them leads to some nasal-y vocal timbre. Testing so far was done without a dedicated amp, so with most any amp results may differ. From a comfort perspective, if you have ears that stick out a bit the earpads may not be deep enough to accommodate your ears.

This means that your ears will hit the foam and the driver baffle behind it, which hinders comfort over long listening sessions. Again, not a problem everyone will face. Overall these are great headphones, and there is a reason that Sennheiser has been able to sell them mostly unchanged since 1993.

A long time ago I had HD 250 Linear headphones, which I remember liking better. You can hear the bass frequencies fine with these, but I like them with more punch. There isn’t a lot of isolation. I could still hear knocking at the door in the same room with the volume on medium.

I’m pleased with the sound detail and the overall sound quality. I’d agree with any of the positive comments I’ve read in reviews regarding it. I know I have a good audiophile product. I say they are not comfortable because after listening to about four songs, I feel them squeezing my (thin) head too tightly.

I haven’t noticed a way to adjust it for that.

I will only list the cons, as they really are minor and should not prevent anyone from buying these. A) the pair I received sort of smelled really bad. I understand I paid for a used item, but I had to disassemble the phones and deep clean them, as well as swap out the headrest and ear pads and cords because of the smell.

So if you are buying used, just keep aware you may need to make some sooner than later modifications. Thats it, thats literally it they are perfect and exactly what I need. Couldnt recommend these enough they are absolutely perfect for what I need them to be, they arent my only pair of headphones, but they might be consistently my favorite to use!.

Sound quality is top notch, after testing loads of other headphones between 100 to 1000 euro price range these stand out from the rest to me. No real weaknesses, the sound is little bit warm and dark, but not overly so.

The slightly elevated mid bass gives the sound more body, while the dark treble makes sure they never get fatiguing to listen to, never harsh. While the treble is tuned down, its still very detailed.

You’ll just notice in a busy mix treble tends to take back seat as mids and mid bass rule the show. Sub bass doesn’t really exist on these, but its the case with open headphones in general. Overall, its a balanced and natural sound that’s very nice and easy to listen to.

The detail is there, but it isn’t overwhelming or ‘fake’ like with many Beyerdynamics that emphasize treble too much. Vocals sound exceedingly good on these. Wearing comfort is otherwise great, but they may have bit too much clamping force.

They’re very light and if looks are important to you, you won’t need to feel embarrassed wearing these on video calls or web conferences, unlike many other audiophile headphones that can look awkward.

As for build quality, its excellent as well. While mostly plastic, this makes it very light. And this plastic is very high quality. I used to obsess on getting headphones with mostly metal build for best durability, but I’ve learned that it comes with a lot of drawbacks, mainly the weight.

Not to mention a lot of headphones that are mostly metal build still have some plastic weakspots that break down over time due to bad design. These seem like they are built to last and will outlast most other headphones in terms of wear and tear.

They have also removable cable and all the parts are also replaceable. All in all recommend to anyone whose looking for a well balanced headphone. Surely, sound won’t get much better from here no matter how much more money you spend.

These are end game material for even the most demanding users.

These are incredible sounding cans. Out of the box, these headphones are a bit tight on the head and need a few days for the clamping force to reduce. You may stretch these headphones over a headphone case you reduce the clamping force.

The sound signature is slightly warm which makes these non fatiguing to listen for long periods. I drive these headphones through my Chord Qutest and Ifi Zen Can amplifier. The mids are excellent and vocals sound just the way they should to me.

Treble is sweet and not too sharp like Beyerdynamics. These headphones sound excellent with almost every genre. Be aware that listening to bass heavy tracks and extremely fast drum beats won’t be that good on these.

You won’t get the bass punch and rapid attack like planar magnetics. Still there is enough bass to sound good on almost all kinds of music. You need to have a decent amplifier paired with these to drive them to their full potential.

Also, the sound improves after some burn in of at least 50 hours. I used pink noise at moderate volume for burn in after which I heard the sound really opened up. The soundstage is a bit narrow compared to my Hifiman Ananda, but this makes listening to vocals more engaging.

I’d listen to the Ananda any day over these for music with lot of instruments. The build quality is pretty good, though I wish the headband padding was thicker. The earpads are good quality velour pads that are easily replaceable.

Overall a great purchase when available on sale at around 22k (50% discount).

These are very early days of my usage but the Sennheiser HD 650 do sound wonderful. They not as spacious or as sharp as the AKG K712 – the soundstage is kind of narrow and the sound is on the warmer side.

And to be honest, they really needed better design on these – the plastic headband seems a little on the fragile side. But heck, you forgot all that when you hear them. I would say that they are best suited for music because they sound incredibly, well, for want of a better word “pleasant.

” There is the slightest stress on bass – about as much as you can get on an open-back headphone set – but the overall effect is very pleasant. I love to call them the “Bose of Audiophile Phones. ” Yes, they do benefit from a decent DAC – I mainly used a Fiio Q1 Mark 2, but the interesting part is that they worked reasonably well even off Apple’s lighting and USB Type C connectors, which is surprising.

I hope to be using better DACs and let’s see how that changes matters. I first heard them in 2010, and well, I recently got them for about Rs 22,495 – close to half what they once cost. One heck of a deal.

I recently bought these Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT headphones to replace an old pair of Sennheiser HD 208 headphones. My first impressions are that the audio quality is very nice. There is a clarity and space to the sound that is immediately noticeable.

I mainly use them for listening to music, playing games and watching films. I’ve never used any headphones through amplifiers or DACs, which I have heard can give you better quality, but the quality through both the wired and wireless connection methods has made a good impression on me.

I have tried them on my laptop, on a PS4 and Switch through the wired connection, and also via Bluetooth on my phone and laptop. I did have an issue connected through Bluetooth on my Macbook Pro from 2010, where it would disconnect often, but that may be due to the age of the computer and the Bluetooth version.

On my iPhone 7, however, there were no issues connecting or staying connected. Based on the music I have listened to with these headphones, from film scores such as Jerry Goldsmith’s Alien and James Horner’s Avatar to pop and more modern tracks from Michael Jackson and Daft Punk, for example, it is easy to become immersed in the sound.

The different instruments are clearly discernible in the mix and I have noticed things that I didn’t know were there before, which has been really wonderful. The reason why I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the way the sound is perceived to me.

There is definitely a dimensionality to the sound, to the point where it does sound like you are in the middle of the music. However, to my ears, it feels like the mix sits slightly behind where I expect the sound to be.

I can hear the sound behind and around me, and also in the centre of my head, but some of the headphones I am used to place the sound slightly more forward, which I prefer. When comparing the old headphones to these, they are definitely not as clear, but with the M50xBT headphones, where the sound sits doesn’t quite feel right to me.

I have read that these headphones are very good for critical listening, such as studio mixing, and now I understand this, as everything can be heard very clearly. I thought they would be suited to my ears, but unfortunately I will have to continue looking for the right pair for me.

Despite the one issue I have with the M50xBTs, I would recommend them to others. They give a lovely, clear sound within a wide space. They are very comfortable and isolate noise from the outside well.

I only needed to charge them once, and the battery has lasted already for over a week of use, although I haven’t used them wirelessly that much. For what they offer, they are definitely good value for money, just not the right ones for me.

I hope these comments can be useful for those considering the M50xBT headphones.

I bought these to upgrade from my Marshall headphones which have smaller cans and are not studio monitor style like these are. These A. T’s sound great. I use these to help me drown out the sounds on and of the subway on my daily commutes and they help immensely.

Because they cup the ears and sit around them, they seal off a lot of the surrounding noise. Music comes in nice and clear without having to turn up loud. The bluetooth connects instantly. They are a bit on the big n bulky side compared to the Marshall’s and much heavier.

The design could be much sleeker all around including the control buttons design. The cushioning and padding is very plush though after a couple hours you do start feeling the squeeze from the ear pads.

Pad upgrades could relieve that. Overall for a pair of studio monitor, noise reducing, bluetooth headphones. these are great.

A top monitor headphone as advertised. Great tight bass with balanced sound maintained. Build quality is both solid and flexible. Strong wire connection that is not too long. The blue black special edition looks great.

All that plastic takes getting used to- the headphone lasts and remains in one piece. The ear pads are not the best. Despite this, the isolation and passive noise cancelling is excellent. Love the sound.

It is great for pleasure listening, but it can also be used for stage and studio. Not a flat sounding headphone because of the bass impact, but highly detailed with a decent Soundstage. Immersive and addictive; in the same conversation with the flatter sounding AKG K371.

In my headphone collection, it is top shelf. It’s that good in comparison to strong alternatives.

This is a set of headphones for my eight-year-old son, and I am really pleased with them. My favorite feature for this Belkin-On- Ear Wireless Headphones is that the sound volume is limited, which I liked a lot.

Now I don’t have to worry about my son turning up the volume. I set the maximum volume, which was extremely pleasant for the ears and loud enough. The headphone shell is composed of good plastic, but not the headband.

The plastic appears to be robust and pleasant to the touch, and I believe it will withstand an unintended drop. The buttons are situated in a handy location and are easy to press with the right hand’s thumb.

The Bluetooth pairing process was simple and speedy. The sound quality is clean and has a sufficient frequency range. The connection is very good, and the sound has never been interrupted during the operation, even though I walked around the house and entered other rooms far from the sound source.

The sound quality is clean and has a sufficient frequency range. The quality of the material used to make the ear pads impressed me. I’m quite sure this isn’t leather, but it looks like leather and feels like I’m stroking soft, high-quality leather.

The ear cushions are nice and do not press against the ears. The headband’s durability plastic does not make me feel confident. The plastic appears to be fragile. Furthermore, the sliding mechanism for expanding the headband has mechanical damage.

Finally, I believe that if these headphones are used properly, they will last a long time. The mechanical strength is the only thing that concerns me.

The Belkin Soundform mini wireless On-Ear Wireless Headphones for Kids is black in color. It has the standard Belkin symbol (stick figure like person) on each ear piece. There’s padding on each ear piece but not on the top part of the headset.

The headset is extendable but it is easier to extend while not on the head but it stays in place well. The headphones come with an auxiliary cable and a charging cable. The charging cable is a micro USB cable but it does not come with a charging block.

It is very easy to connect via Bluetooth to the tablet or phone. These headphones are fairly sound blocking and go to a maximum of 85 decibels. The sound is actually very loud at the max volume so I would still instruct your child to keep it to the lower half of the volume settings.

On the headphones there are a few buttons on one ear including the power button in the middle and the plus and minus symbols for the volume settings on each side of the power button. On the same side there is an auxiliary plug-in and the charging plugin with nothing on the opposite earphone.

The headset can go up to 30 hours of play time with one charge and has a built-in microphone for video or phone calls. It can be connected to most Apple and Android devices. You can talk to people while on the phone via Bluetooth with the headphones.

The sound is clear but not the best if the person is on speakerphone. They can hear you okay but it says if you were talking in the car to someone on the phone. There are several different things you can do with your buttons on the ears, as well, while on a phone call with someone.

It’s hard to get the hang of it but with time, it’ll be easier. As far as the sound with music, the bass sounds don’t play very well but the music still sounds good. It would work well for kids apps or learning apps, too.

Overall, the Belkin Soundform mini wireless On-Ear Wireless Headphones for Kids are a quality headset for children but the volume can get quite loud.

I originally planned on having my kids try out these “mini” headphones, but I found that I was able to comfortably use them myself. As it turns out, if you are an adult with a small head, these headphones fit great.

Needless to say, these wireless headphones are now mine. I wasn’t sure if I could figure out the Bluetooth connection because I am not tech-savvy. So I decided to try to set them up without the help of my husband or kids.

The instructions have diagrams so it was pretty easy. I discovered so many great features right from the start. To begin with, the headphones are charged and ready to use out of the box, that was unexpected and exciting.

Wow, 30 hours of charge time, seems like a long time to me. The earpieces are soft, very comfortable, and fit my ears well, but the headband is not padded which could be uncomfortable for some. The sound quality is great, as I expected from Belkin, it doesn’t get too loud or powerful.

I’ve enjoyed watching movies and hearing all the background sounds I normally miss. I don’t know what is considered good range, but I am surprised at how far away I can walk and still get perfect reception, around 30 feet or so.

And there’s even a built-in microphone. The only negative aspect for me are the power and volume buttons, they are difficult for me to distinguish without looking. But I imagine this is easier for smaller fingers, as it was intended.

These headphones are high quality and have a lot of excellent features. Definitely a great product from Belkin.

I previously owned the Beyerdynamics MMX300s when starting in voice recording, amateur narrative work and gaming. They were a solid headset which lasted 7 years until the right ear cup disconnected from the hinge after they being accidentally dropped.

Zero technical issues during that time, they still work even now, just not wearable. With that longevity alone, Beyerdynamics were a go-to. The MMX300 MK2s are just as sturdy a build as their predecessors, but the ear cup and headband foam are dense and offer better sound isolation.

The microphone is a condenser type, as opposed to cardioid for the MMX300s. The input sound is still amazing and performs well without any sound anomalies or pickup loss. It’s a single cord with two 3.

5mm jacks for I/O respectively and a 3. 5mm jack which plugs securely into the headset. For future purchases: you’ll need to really push the jack into the earcup quite firmly for it to sit properly, else you’ll have mic loss.

So far, have experienced no loosening of the cord. Like the MMX300s: the ear cup padding is detachable for cleaning purposes, although reattaching has typically been something of a frustrating task. The headband padding is attached via velcro instead of studs, now sure how I feel about this, as velcro has that nasty habit of warping and curling along the edges.

Time will tell if this happens. The sound is where the MK2s shine: while the range is just as crisp and clean as the former, the bass range on the MK2s is incredible for a headset without muffling or muddying sound.

There are lows in songs I’d heard before, but these turn that sound into physical sensation at 40hz, causing the inner ear to pulse distinctly. It’s glorious to feel music. Highly recommend this beast.

I tried to cheap out and buy some budget headphones from another site. There were just enough issues to annoy me. I should have started with these ATH-M20x headphones and I could have been done with my search.

Comparing comfort, my first-purchase headphones were just big enough to almost fit over my ear, but required some assistance every time I put them back on which became annoying. The ATH-M20x is a perfect fit.

I’ve owned some comfortable headphones over the years, but these take a commanding lead! Cable length: The ATH-M20x cable is long enough to plug in to my computer under the desk and allow me to still scoot over to my bookshelf about 4 feet away.

As for audio quality, I’m not an expert but it sounds more natural than other headphones in this price range. It doesn’t over pump the bass side of the spectrum. I’d would’ve given this 4. 5 stars if possible.

The only downside is the bass is a little dull for my preference, but at least it’s not overbearing or hollow.

I love these headphones but there is one item which makes me give it a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating; if I could I would give it a 4 1/2 star rating. The problem that I have with it are the buttons to control the various features.

These three button sit right next to each other and it is very difficult to distinguish them. The other issue is that the middle button is used to power on and power off (with a two second press) and a two second press is also used for some other function as well.

Whoever designed this interface did not put enough thought into this design. So if you are considering these headphones just be aware of this issue. As I said from a performance standpoint I love them: rich full sound; they sit very comfortably and I can wear them for hours att a time; the battery charge lasts a long, long time.
