20 Best Headphones For Construction Workers (2023 Updated)

I purchased this headset for my home office as I’m on a lot of conference calls and have to move around some times, so a wired headset wasn’t going to work. The reason for the 3 star review is due to the first faulty set I got.

It would pair fine with the Bluetooth on my laptop but would cut out and could not recover when this happened. Out of 10 calls, it cut out on 7 of them and the other person’s voice would become choppy and impossible to understand.

Once it got into this mode, it could never recover and even if you were right beside the computer (distance not being an issue), the choppiness would not go away. I had to take this set back to BestBuy who swapped them out immediately and the 2nd set is performing as advertised.

I’ve used it for a few calls and so far so good. The distance you can go on this headset before it starts getting choppy will depend on how many walls and corners are between the headset and the computer with the Bluetooth signal.

I have a fairly open area with just a few walls and I’m able to get pretty far – about 60′ with one corner. They’re fairly comfortable to wear for my conference calls which are between 30 – 60 minutes normally.

I wouldn’t say they’re OK to wear continuously for many hours at a time as they do fit snuggly over the ears. I also wear glasses and they begin to hurt behind the ears a bit after multiple hours, and I don’t have a wide head so it’s not stretching the headset bands at all.

These do not have noise cancellation so they rely on the foam pads and a snug fit to keep the external noise down. I do like the lighted mute indicator on the speaker mic as this is easy to see and you know when you’re muted or not.

If your camera is on as well, the other participants will see that you’re muted too. I haven’t gotten a chance to fully test the battery longevity yet as I bought these right before the holidays and didn’t have to go on a lot of calls.

Overall if it wasn’t for the first pair that had so many connectivity issues, I would rate it at a 4 or potentially 5 stars. The long term comfort (if you’re wearing glasses) may be a concern as they do fit snug.

I actually wasn’t expecting too much from these headsets, as I my voice quality is just above a whisper, due to a tracheostomy and vocal cord issues and I needed to be able to have a headset whose microphone would make my voice able to be heard clearly on Zoom meetings and if possible, over the cell phone.

I had been told by others with similar issues, not to expect basic headsets to work for me. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised. The sound quality of the headset is booming. When I listen to my music, it is pure bass and I am lost in paradise.

The real shocker was that when I attempted to speak on Zoom, people said that they can hear me loud and clear. However, the biggest surprise was yet to come. I never purposely tried to pair my cell phone to the headsets while paired to my laptop.

One day my cell rang, and I realized that I could hear it ringing in my headset, so I started talking and the person on the phone said “I can hear you very well. So these little headsets really delivered! My only complaint is that I am extremely careful and light-handed when touching the headset, and yet pieces were literally falling off of it and then, in front of friends on a Zoom meeting, the left earpiece broke and started twirling around and stuck out of my head.

Then little plastic pieces just fell off of it. To keep the ear parts from spinning around and sticking out, I currently have the headset held together, by black electrical tape, that isn’t visible to anyone else.

I will buy another one when I can get it. But I really love these!.

Nice construction, as light as advertised, convenient mic enabling on the headset, good Bluetooth connectivity. and all audio input and output ceases immediately if the mic is enabled. You have to disable it in the system dialog to get even output back.

And that’s if you can get it connected in the first place – it does not automatically install drivers even with a fully updated OS, despite what their joke for a support site claims. I had to manually install the Generic Windows Bluetooth Driver myself.

If I wanted a wired headset I’d have bought a wired headset. I’m going to return this and buy wireless headphones instead and I don’t know what I’m going to do for a microphone yet but it will not involve JLab.

I was trying to replace a wired headset that was damaged due to being wired (I have children with amazing grip strength) and this is even worse than the broken headset. The broken headset works better! I can’t hear sound very well in one of the speakers but the whole thing doesn’t suddenly stop playing audio just by have the mic enabled! What a piece of junk.

It claims crystal clear call audio but I’d be satisfied with any audio quality at all!.

Excellent headset with bright sound, which keeps bass under control at pleasant levels. Microphone is also great for calls. If you want other party to hear you loud and clear then turn Noise Cancelling mode Off during calls; you can also switch to Hear Through mode instead.

If it is connected via audio cable then you can charge and listen at the same time. You cannot do it with Bluetooth connected though. With audio cable connected, if you turn power On then it seems to be able to use noise cancellation or built-in DAC as it amplifies sound, and its Hear Through button also works; but neither will its touch control functions work nor will it connect to Bluetooth.

Audio cable that comes with this headset, does not have built-in microphone and media/volume controls. However I tried connecting another generic cable having those functions built-in and that worked fine with this headset.

My headset does not have loud background hiss sound problem when Noise Cancelling mode is turned On. This headset sounds good even when both Noise Cancelling and Hear Through modes are turned Off. Volume adjustment step-size via its touch control (with Bluetooth connected) is fine on the phone but on PC, it is too large (7 or 10 I think) which you won’t be able to adjust, at least for now.

It is better to use PC volume control instead. Headset remembers selected Audio Codec, Noise Cancelling and Hear Through levels, which you set via Connect app; so you don’t need to keep Connect app open all the time while using this headset.

The only let down is available options in the Connect app for this headset, which only lets you select preferred audio codec (default is Auto) and levels of Noise Cancelling and Hear Through modes. Best noise cancellation is at Airplane option, but On-The-Go option sounds more brighter overall.

Hear Through by default, is set to Mid; but I prefer to set to Low. Both selected Noise Cancelling and Hear Through levels via Connect app seems to also set/work for button and touch controls on the headset when used without Connect app afterwards.

Equaliser option is not available in Connect app, but you can use/adjust your phone’s or player’s equaliser settings. I prefer to adjust phone’s equaliser settings.

i’ve used these for a few months now, they work fine for general daily use, sound quality is pretty decent. however i have had multiple issues with them since day one. firstly, they work fine when connected to my phone, but when they are connected to my laptop or desktop, there is often an awfully loud static/glitchy sound when i pause or skip a song, and also anytime i start watching something on netflix in the few seconds of silence right at the beginning.

i’ve had to get into the habit of muting my audio before i press play just so my ears don’t burst. secondly, occasionally after a few hours of use the sound will stop working – like the headphones aren’t dead but i can’t hear anything even if i turn them off and then on again, and then i have to wait for them to randomly start working again (usually takes at least 5 mins).

thirdly, switching between devices is a pain. e. g. when switching from my phone to my laptop, i have to turn my phone’s bluetooth off to be able to connect my headphones to the laptop and vice versa.

i’m not super knowledgeable on headphones so i can’t really say for sure whether these are worth the money or not, as im not sure if there are better ones for the same price, but honestly if you can i would recommend investing in better quality headphones bc it’ll be more worthwhile in the long run compared to these.

The audio quality on these is fantastic. The sound is clear, crisp and bright and balanced very evenly. The ear cups are large, soft, and the head band has good padding too. Has a very nice hard case that it comes with.

That’s about it for the pros though. – The head band is not designed to wrap around your head, so it looks giant and clunky. – It cannot multi-pair devices whatsoever. – There’s no auto pause when removing the headphones.

– The touch controls are finnicky and not that accurate. Have to do the action a couple of times for it to work. – Controlling noise cancelling mode is annoying – you have to hold the cup for a few seconds, just to cycle to the next mode.

– The cable it comes with is not very long, and I initially thought it was good quality because it was braided, but actually a braided cable will transfer all the noise and rubbing from every little bit of movement straight into your ears.

– The call/microphone quality on this is absolute garbage. If you plan on only connecting this to your home computer and walking around the house, go for it, the music is fantastic. If you want to connect this to your phone, be aware that you’ll have to turn them off/disconnect them to take any reasonable quality calls, and whenever you get home and want to use it with your computer.

I’ve been buying these Koss titanium diaphragm headphones literally for decades including their older Radio Shack relabeled headphones that Koss made for them. The older variants were the Pro-25 and Pro-35 models.

Why? Because these headphones quite simply have incredible clarity and a very natural bass response that rivals studio headphones costing literally 10x – 15x as much. I got clued into these headphones talking to some of the top audio engineers and microphone designers in the country who loved these headphones for mixing and mastering as well to use as a reference check.

They are NOT great for putting on a musician’s head while tracking them however as they are an open-ear design so the audio will bleed into the microphone if you’re using condenser mics but they will do ok usually with dynamic mics as long as they’re not cranked too loud.

For that reason they also are not great for taking to the gym unless you want those around you to hear what you’re listening to. But for jogging they’re not bad as they do let you hear cars honking at you or approaching you which is a good thing for safety.

All that being said, I also use these headphones for just listening to regular music for pleasure as well. They are not too fatiguing to the ears, as long as you don’t crank them up too loud (which you shouldn’t do with any headphones if you value your hearing).

It’s also amazing how deep the bass is on these given their open-ear design. The only headphones that rival these are some of the Grado open-ear models that cost much more. The other huge advantage of these headphones is that because they are inexpensive, you don’t have to worry so much about damaging them accidentally.

They’re cheap enough that you get your money’s worth if they last more than a year. Mine however usually last about 3 to 5 years with HEAVY use before the cables start to short out and they need replacing.

I hope that I will continue to be buying these headphones for decades to come.

I like to listen to music while I read the paper in bed early in the morning. I stream Pandora with a tablet, choosing whatever type of music I happen to be in the mood for that day. For a long time I used a little bluetooth speaker cube to broadcast the sound, but I recently got a pair of these Koss headphones, and I’m very happy I did.

These things are lightweight, not bad to look at, and provide a very full, detailed music experience. I hadn’t put on headphones in more that forty years, and now I’m wondering why I hadn’t. There are three things I especially like about this particular model: (1) they don’t seal off your ears completely, so, unless you have them turned up very loud, you can still tell when something like a phone ringing happens, (2) the inline volume control allows me to instantly mute the loud, annoying ads Pandora likes to throw at its listeners, plus the volume capability makes adjusting the sound level of each piece of music played super easy, and (3) thanks to the excellent sound reproduction I find myself noticing details in the music I’d never heard before (like a guitar flourish in an Eagles song I’d heard a thousand times before), and also understanding lyrics that used to be lost in the mix when played through speakers.

Plus, though it took a few tries, once I got used to having headphones on, I find these to be very comfortable. The only downside is that they are not exactly heavy-duty (just plastic, silicone rubber, and foam rubber ear pads), so they’re not going to last as long as some of the more expensive models available.

But, especially for the sound quality produced, they’re very reasonably priced, and, with careful handling, should have a good life expectancy. Update 11/10/18 — I’ve now had these for about a year, still like the sound quality, and they’re holding up OK so far, but a small problem has developed: the corded inline volume control does not totally mute one channel, so when that loud Pandora commercial I’ve already heard ten times comes on, I can’t completely silence it.

The solution it seems to me would be for Koss to add a mute button to the volume control pod. That would allow you to instantly, completely block out the sound, plus, when you decide to turn the sound back on, it would still be set at the same level it was before the mute, and you wouldn’t have to readjust the sound level.

Terrible! Will be returning. Don’t recommend for anything whatsoever. My generic, no-name $5 ear buds from eBay blow these out of the water in comfort, sound, and ease of use and storage. Sound quality is awful, absolutely zero bass and no noise canceling abilities.

I thought these had a hands-free component to them but found out that it is just a huge piece of plastic with a volume switch that slides up and down. That’s my fault for thinking it was a hands-free set, but looks are very deceiving because even my husband thought it was a mic when I showed him these to buy.

That’s the ONLY reason why I got these headphones (for the hands-free) but I thought I’d still keep them and use them for watching YouTube and listening to music on my phone. But they are terrible for listening to anything.

For being so lightweight, they absolutely ache on my ears. I have a normal sized head and ears so that’s not the issue. When I turn the volume up with my phone, no change is noticed. I have to use the volume on the headphones to adjust it which is not good because it’s a sliding mechanism.

So instead of being able to turn up or down the volume incrementally, it turns it up either drastically too loud or too quiet. The volume switch also feels cheap and like it will easily break. The headphones themselves make a weird popping noise while worn.

Idk what this comes from. All I can figure is that it’s from the cheap plastic the entire set is made from, especially the ear area. These are a pain to store with the double wires coming out of each ear.

Definitely not for in the car and are horrible in bed as well. At the end of the nite, when I put them on the nightstand, they just become a tangled mess and take up too much room. If these had anything positive or quality about them, I’d keep them, but they don’t.

I’ll stick with cheap ear buds and I’d recommend you do the same. I was warned not to buy Koss, but these had such great reviews that I took a chance. Now, I have to spend the time returning to Walmart.

Purchase was for 2 Sigma GJA-SG200 in natural and sunburst finish. Both sound and look amazing. They really stand up to more expensive guitars with a great balanced tone. Couldn’t decide on the finish as both look amazing so had to go back the next day for the second one! Also purchased the Shure SRH240 headphones which push out a great sound.

Brilliant for the price.

I will give these little to no points on comfort or construction. Now, that being said, I can wear them for a good while, and they have held up, somewhat, but room for improvement is needed to make these a top recommendation AND to honor the great sound that they actually provide.

When my beloved, needle in a haystack and fluke headphones finally died after years of use (Koss, no doubt, I mean, they shouldn’t have been any good — very comfortable but also of if ill-considered construction) I went on a ridiculous search to replace them.

I must’ve tried 30 different headphones, of different make and price point, just trying to see if I could find that sound that I had grown accustomed to. It was like going from Blue Ray back to VHS, I couldn’t believe how terrible most cans sounded.

I popped on 4 and 500 hundred dollah Bose, Sennheiser, Sony– whoever, just to see how much better it “could be,” and nothing. I found that higher prices did not equate to better sound. My krappy Koss phones cost me about 40 back in the day.

They had a 50mm driver, so, I got their specs and tried to match specs– still, results were terrible. I couldn’t get back that sound, that fullness, that depth of field, that balance and spaciousness.

It was kind of traumatizing. Anyway, I visit a local shop I like and finally talk to an old guy who knows his stuff and he pops these things on my head. And there it is, like some doc had removed the bandages from my eyes.

The senses were engaged, and I felt at home. Now, if they could put in a stabilizing bar and make the adjustment bands out of durable metal (and maybe a plush pad instead of faux leather) they’d be perfect.

So, I’m not a DJ. I use these for recording and walking about. I like to keep things consistent and I like to stay in the world of sound that these, low cost, decent headphones provide. Check the specs, sure, but put em on and play and see what you think.

No fog, no tin can, no 2D, nothing stale. 100 clams! #?!.

These headphones have exceeded my needs and expectations. I wanted some over the ear headphones for my Ipod. So they had to be efficient, requiring less power to drive, and for winter walks keep my ears warm! While I have not tried to see how long the Ipod will last per charge I can state that even after several hours of listening the Ipod is only down about 25%.

The ear cushions are very soft and comfortable. I purchased knowing the Shure history of bang for the buck and was s\pleased this is still the case.

Bought for use at work but with several lockdowns, these headphones lived (boxed, as new) in my drawers at the office, getting very little use. Just getting back into normality at the office recently and after setting these up, noticed only the Left channel was outputting sound.

If I turned my head a certain way, I’d get stereo. Seems to be something up with the cable. Thinking “They’re still practically new – surely under warranty” I rummaged through my inbox to reveal that, no, actually I bought them over 18 months ago.

So even thought they are as-new, they are junk. It’s a real shame as I use the considerably more expensive AKG K702 for my music studio work – and I swear by them – infact, they are the reason I bought these K72’s just for more casual music listening.

When they worked, they sounded OK – an obvious major step down from the K702’s but that was to be expected. There’s a joke about a bricked item becoming an “expensive doorstop”, but actually these things are so flimsy the door would obliterate them! Anyway, I’m annoyed I wasted a hundred bucks and maybe I’ll think twice about AKG in future.

Only had the product for a month but! Good clarity and, you get really great high end and low end sound. Great for at home mixing and recording. I found the mid range to be a little bit flat but, for the price, it’s not something that would put me off buying another pair.

Comfortable large ear pads and the head strap adjusts nicely. Only other critique is that the cord is fixed and a little bit long so there’s no chance of putting a shorter chord on changing it if it breaks.

But again, the price reflects this. Overall it’s a good, affordable set of headphones for anyone starting out in at-home music production or recording.

These are really nice headphones: 1) They’re lightweight & comfortable. 2) The sound quality is quite good. 3) The price is right for these headphones. 4) Very good stereo separation. Main use for me is general listening; light sound mixing when DJ’ing; studio & live recording; doing overall live sound mix for a band or something.

If you’re wanting to do final mix downs & mastering, I suggest the K92 model – the drivers on these a louder & more pronounced, & I own these as well.

The Audio-Technica ATH MSR7b’s are an excellent set of headphones, which are very light and comfortable to wear, even when going for a walk w/a portable player, such as a cell phone or digital player.

They are available in either Black, or in what is called, Gunmetal. They are an over the ear and closed back headphone, which are strictly wired, “w/no wireless or noise reduction features”. The problem w/wireless, and/or noise reduction, they require batteries or will need to be recharged.

Also too, the quality of the music out of them, is not as good as w/a wired head set. You do loose something w/those features when it comes to music quality. The ATH MSR7b’s have an excellent Frequency Response range from 5 – 50,000 Hz, w/an Impedance of a low 36 Ohm, which is low enough to play w/a portable player.

They come w/a pair of detachable 4′ cords, w/a 3. 5 mm and 4. 4 mm plug, also allowing for easy replacement, There are aftermarket cables available. I would say that these are an Audiophile level headphone vs.

Studio, and while I may think the music quality out of them is great, especially when it comes to classical, as well as mild rock, but then again, everyone’s hearing and music tastes are different. When you listen to them, truly listen for the individual instruments.

Impressive headphones for the price, the clarity is what immediately hits you on first listening. Rim shots, claps, symbols and female vocals really stand out but never harshly. The bass is also not missing as some have suggested, used with iFi ZenDac and ZenCan combo, they really do create some great punch and speed.

I find them comfortable too, allowing for multiple hour sessions without fatigue, with just the right amount of clamping force. I have much more expensive headphones in my collection but still I find the ATH-MSR7b very fun and engaging.

You will be surprised what extra detail you hear in songs you have listened to for years, recommended.

My favorite Audio Technica headphone in this price range. Very stylish attractive design. Solid build. Very lightweight. Very comfortable. Excellent stock cable that doesn’t tangle on its own. Forward midrange.

Clear and clean treble. Neutral non boosted low end. Wonderfully detailed sound. Very easy to drive so external amps aren’t necessary at all.

There’s an aspect to both the KSC75s and the Porta Pros that just take the technicality of listening to music out of the equation. Sometimes it’s easy to get lost in making your music sound so perfect that the music loses a bit of its purpose.

These are the sort of headphones that get you listening to more music all of the time. There is still a time and place for when you want your amp and higher-end headphones, but you’ll slowly find yourself reaching for these more and more.

They just sound so good for being so comfortable and easy on the ears. For the price? Untouchable. These will forever be the headphones I recommend to anyone. If only the cord and cord connections weren’t so frail, they would be absolutely perfect.

Unfortunately, there will always be the caveat that any pair’s days are numbered, especially with how much use they will probably see once you get used to them. I popped mine on my Porta Pro headband and added Yaxi Pads and they will most likely continue to be my daily driver until the day Koss stops making them.

I listen to so much more music when I have these around. Love them so much that I picked up some spare pairs to mod with connectors. It also doesn’t hurt that the Drop colorway looks fantastic with the beige Porta Pro headband and orange pads.

First off – this is the ultimate budget cycling headphone. I would never want to ride in the streets with isolating IEMs, and when I’ve tried I’m usually breaking seal all the time anyways. Most over-ear options are cumbersome in their relationship with a helmet.

These strange little clip-on fellows strike the ultimate niche. This all said, I’ve never cared much for the fit in-general – and that’s where I can’t give a five-star. It’s the one of the Koss models where I also think that adding Yaxi’s makes my fit worse, too much material to pinch in their with the clip.

I have not tried a headband mod, if I didn’t have a bunch of KPH30i and PortaPros, I would. Because – sound? I think this is the best of the lot. It feels like there is more presence and shimmer/air here than with the others – particularly the fairly dark PortaPros.

I do love this series of headphones, beating to their own drum. The KSC75 will be limited in genres, the bass roll-off is robust here – I simply don’t ask it to do things it is not good at. If you have the use-case for them, or have enjoyed the other Koss offerings in this line except find them darkish – definitely check these out.

As almost everyone else have mentioned, the sound quality of these headphones is excellent for its price. I don’t speak audiophile, but what I can attest is that it has beaten out headphones/earbuds several times its price in both sound quality and comfort.

However, as almost everyone have also mentioned, the cable is atrociously flimsy and weak. These headphones typically only last maybe 6-12 months for me before one or both sides stop outputting sound due to the cables breaking connection.

However, the price-to-performance ratio is so good that you can get them replaced 5+ times – whether through Koss’s warranty or new if you don’t want to deal with return processes – and still get your money’s worth.

The earclips of the KSC75X may be hit-or-miss for some people. I have a big head. Like, a Megamind-sized head (without the benefits of the mind). Because of this, almost every pair of overhead headphones fit too small and put pressure on the top and sides of my head.

The earclips solve this issue for me. The earpads are thin, but soft and the on-ear style is a lot more gentle on your ear canals than traditional earbuds while still remaining cool on the ears. When they’re on, they stay on.

You can also hear your surroundings compared to earbuds, making them surprisingly great for running. However, the clips, while adjustable, can put a lot of pressure on the top of the ear, which for some may be very uncomfortable for long sessions.

Also, if you have more protruding ears, they might be difficult to fit and flop around (although they still stay on your ears). To solve this, I swapped out the padding for a pair from Yaxi. The larger size of the padding both stops the flopping and makes the headphones even more comfortable.

Don’t listen to the jargon about worse low-end and soundstage with the earclip, they still sound great. If the clips sound like or are a miss for you, you’ll be glad to hear that they’re detachable. You can swap them out with either the headband of a $7 pair of headphones from Parts-Express or even the headband from the Koss PortaPros if/when the same flimsy cable used for those break as well (did I mention how bad the cable was yet?).

Despite the cable durability, it’s hard for me to take away more than a star; everything else about them is just so good.

+ sound is amazing. + HD Bluetooth codecs. + comfy + good isolation despite lack of active noise cancelling. – gestures/controls using tapping gives no feedback and often doesn’t work as expected. – price in relation to build materials.

– crappy plastic, crappy cheap cloth. – super easy to get dirty, can’t be used outside. – no easy access to replacement parts. – finally, glitchy Bluetooth: I power them off, next morning they are on.

I try to turn them on – to no avail, list it’s stuck. They are already paired, I turn them on and try to connect – nothing. I need to pair again. – UPDATE: another star less: broke, stopped to work at all 🙂 – UPDATE: yet another star less: they’ve sent me back dirty headphones without even a foil bag! if : 1.

build materials would be AT LEAST decent. 2. it would not stop to work. 3. service would send headphones clean and packaged properly i would give it 4 out of 5 stars 🙂 NEVER AGAIN Beyerdynamic.

Quick summary: best earphones I have ever owned. Bar none. Period. In detail: I own (or have owned) more than 10 over-ears over the past 7 years. I use my over-ears for long periods while at work, so comfort is paramount.

These are THE most comfortable I have had. I wear glasses and have been in front of my computer for 4-6 hours at a stretch. No problem with these. The sound profile is to my liking. It is not as bass forward as some would like (and yet not as neutral as some others).

Suits multi-genre listening. I invariably use it wired, so cannot comment too much on battery life. So if wired is an option for you, you can consider the Amiron Home – the Home can also be used with the Beyer Impacto.

Impacto will not work with the wireless. It sure is expensive, but for comfort and near neutral profile, i am yet to find anything in the sub-INR60k this good. In fact I find it almost as good as some of my more expensive ones, since comfort is mindblowing.

This was my 3rd pair of these. They sound amazing and the noise cancelling is exceptional. The first pair lasted over 5 years but the last 8 months was 5 days a week while at work and the left ear piece broke off at the swizzle but I had dropped them a few times over the years.

Part of it is they don’t stay on my head if I look directly up or down/lean over. The second pair I got the right ear piece was a tad loose but I exchanged them for this pair and everything is great with them just like the original pair I bought.

The battery is great and lasts easily over 8 hours. Probably longer but I always charge them when I get home. I highly recommend these for the sound, Bluetooth, and noise cancelling features. I don’t recommend them for excercising/strenuous activities.

the sound is good. noise cancelling is pretty much non existent. I’m sitting in the living room, can still hear the fan running, someone mowing the lawn, people talking almost as if I had nothing on.

I’ve had other noise cancelling and it pretty much muted my surroundings. this just turns it down one notch. the controls for volume up/down are stupid. you have to hold them, can’t just click the button up/down.

if you click the button up/down it goes to next/previous track, ugh. one button that does everything, and I’m here counting “one one thousand, two one thousand” to make sure I get the proper function I needed.

stupid. for cell phone calls while I’m in my room with ceiling fan, it sounds like I’m in my car driving and the phone is laying on the other seat.

The volume is very low. When you long-hold the multi-function button to adjust it, the volume cuts off completely, replaced by a steady beeping. You don’t know if it adjusted until you stop adjusting and the volume comes back on.

I stood there like an idiot, holding that button, before I realized the top volume is about like a loud whisper in your ear. That multi-function button is a mess, too. With modern electronics, you know it won’t be long before it gets mushy and hard to control.

You’ll have to learn the push-combos ahead of time, and remember them on-the-fly. These headphones get two stars, but only because of the decent noise-cancelling function. The “headphones” function gets Zero stars.

The best bluetooth headphones are the $10 ONN kind.

I just tried these out and so far I think the headphones are pretty alright. The sound quality is great, I think the noise-cancelling feature is pretty good. I’m trying out this pair and also SkullCandy’s Crusher Wireless headphones, which is around $105-$150, to see which one I like better and here’s what I’ve found:- SOUND QUALITY: The sound quality is pretty much equal among both pairs.

They sound slightly different, but I can’t tell which one sounds better to me than the other. The sound quality slightly decreases in COWIN’s pair when the noise-cancelling feature is turned off, but that’s easily fixable by simply turning the feature on.

– NOICE-CANCELLING: Although COWIN’s pair labels itself as noise-cancelling and SkullCandy’s pair is more passive, I think the noise-cancelling feature among both pairs is almost equal. The only difference is that COWIN’s sounds a bit like this soft fuzzy noise (like air) so I can actually *hear* noise-cancelling happening, and I have the option to turn it off and on.

Turning it off slightly decreases the sound quality. With SkullCandy’s pair, its noise-isolating feature is kind of like a default feature where I don’t even need to turn the headphones on because the ear muffs are secure enough to my head that it blocks out enough noise on their own that it almost matches up with COWIN’s pair’s own noise-cancelling feature, which actually needs to be turned on.

I like the noise-cancelling quality equally among both pairs, however I have a slight preference for COWIN’s pair. When I wear the headphones and I talk and clear my throat, I can hear that the sound is more muffled out by COWIN.

– SOUND LEAKAGE: Both headphones have a tiny bit of sound leakage when I play my music at around 50%, however I’ve noticed that COWIN’s pair leaks significantly more sound than SkullCandy’s. I don’t like it when people around me are able to hear what I’m listening to, especially since I’m a pretty anxious person, so this really has me leaning toward SkullCandy for now.

– DESIGN: I like the sleek-looking design of COWIN’s pair, it looks more modern and overall aesthetically pleasing for me. The location of the volume buttons on the surface of the right ear muff is nice, although I think it’s a little inconvenient that the volume-increasing button is on the bottom of the panel and the volume-decreasing button is up top, as opposed to the other way around.

They also don’t seem to work when I use them, so I have to adjust the volume on the device I’m connected to. I also don’t really like how the power switch on COWIN’s pair is on the very bottom of the hard part of the ear muff, it’s a little difficult for me to find at times.

With SkullCandy’s pair, the buttons are on the backs of the ear muffs where a person typically puts their thumbs when they grab the ear muffs, so it’s much easier to find those buttons without having to feel around.

– COMFORT: Although COWIN’s pair also allows you to adjust the height of the ear muffs, it feels very loose compared to SkullCandy’s pair. I think that’s why it might have more sound leakage. When I wear COWIN’s pair, it feels like it could fall off much easier both with the ear muffs and the area that fits around the top of my head.

SkullCandy’s pair feels much more secure, and their ear muffs don’t wiggle around as much. They stay in place better and they fit my head and ears much more snugly. Because of this, SkullCandy’s pair feels much more physically comfortable for me.

– OTHER NOTES: When you power the headphones on and off, I like the little high-tech beeps that I hear on COWIN’s pair in comparison with SkullCandy’s weird “power on/off” voice. This is just an aesthetic preference.

SkullCandy’s pair has adjustable bass though, so if you’re listening to a song whose aesthetic lies strongly in its bass, I think SkullCandy’s ability to let you adjust that really helps. – PRICING: I think the overall quality has me leaning slightly more toward SkullCandy’s Crusher Wireless pair, however the pricing for COWIN’s pair is something I really can’t ignore.

For two pairs of headphones that are very similar in quality (in my opinion), the fact that COWIN is so much more affordable is what’s giving me such a hard time really deciding which pair I want to keep and which one I’ll end up returning.

I’ll keep trying both of these headphones while I’m still inside the return window, so as I come up with new opinions, I’ll be sure to update this review.

As a music head you can imagine that I’ve gone through A LOT of headphones over the years. Some barely last, others make till you blast out 1 side and you have to give them up and then you lose others.

Well I definitely will NEVER lose these headphones, and not just cause I got them sunflower yellow lol, but because I can’t imagine being without them. These are the headphones I’ve been looking for my whole life and didn’t know it.

So here’s my experience:1. I ordered the headphones and the case. The headphones are very well made, durable and sturdy. The case is AMAZING. also very well made and sturdy. And since the headphones can lay pretty flat in the case I didn’t have to worry about this big bulge in my backpack.

This was very handy since I got them right before traveling to South Carolina and I had the case in my carry on (the headphones were on my head). They also come with a hard line for connection which I’ve only used once, not cause there was anything wrong with the cord but just because I’m a very mobile person so bluetooth is my friend, the cord works just fine and is a good length.

2. Sound quality/noise cancelling/call quality: The sound is TOP QUALITY. It’s like having a concert on my ears. Yes they definitely cancel noise LOL you won’t hear someone trying to get your attention unless your doing just ended at the just the right moment TRUST ME ON THIS.

And the call quality is better than I expected it to be. Say first your going to think that you have to speak loudly cause mic is just a small hole but NOPE it’ll pick you up just fine. And I’ve never had an issue with the headphones not connecting to my phone even if I’ve received a call and have to ask them to hold on while I grab my headphones, which for me happens mostly when I’m like washing dishes or something.

They connect effortlessly and don’t hang up my call like I’ve had other headphones in the past do when they connect. I LOVE THESE HEADPHONES!3. THE CHARGE IS AMAZING! So I already told y’all I got them just before South Carolina trip.

I charged them just before the flight, the charge lasted the entire flight, plus my layover, through my entire trip (1. 5 weeks) and back to California. Done being back I’ve charged them 1 time, literally, and each time I’ve picked them they still have a charge so they can hold a charge even when not being used.

Best battery I’ve ever seen on ANYTHING. The genius behind this battery needs a raise!4. (And this will be my final point) I’ve used them during workouts and they stay still. BEST THING EVER!.

I get quite excited when I get a chance to talk about these headphones. I’ll explain why. As a female with smaller ear holes it is very difficult finding headphones or earbuds which fit properly. Now add this with someone who has extreme no sensitivity and someone who adores music… I really was looking for something that would blow everything else out of the waters.

Now my favourite earbud headphones have always been the old-school and OG Apple headphones are ones with the wire. To be honest those always stayed intact the longest and provided great audio quality.

I would from time to time use MKG headphones which were also great but also didn’t have a lot of money to spend on a really good quality headphone. My first Bose headphones were the QC 35i I believe and those were great.

They were comfortable to wear during long flights which I had to take frequently for school (yes money was still very tight) and they lasted a while. I probably would still have those now if they were not stolen.

I thought point I decided to do some research and looked at the Sony‘s and these ones. Granted I had not tried the Sony headphones and compare them to these. I did a lot of research, wait out the pros and cons and went to head and bought the 700s.

Man was it the best decision I’ve ever made with tech. These headphones are great in the following ways: 1. The band that goes over your head is extremely comfortable. For women, putting our hair in ponytails or buns or I’ve been anyway cause there’s a lot of pressure and hair damage on your head especially where is the location of ponytails usually are the High ones at least.

These headphones have a very soft silicone type material at the top of the band which creates a very comfortable landing of the band on one’s head. Because it’s soft it goes around the contours of a persons head and I’ve honestly I’ve had these on for 12+ hours and have not had complaints or really feel them on at all.

2. The noise cancelling on these headphones is absolutely impeccable. I cannot stress this part enough. As someone who has extreme noise sensitivity and a lot of deadlines these headphones have been a savior.

Believe it or not I often turn the headphones on and don’t even listen to anything because the noise cancellation on these headphones are that good. To add you can customize the noise cancelling effect either through one button on the left side of the ear or through the app or through the voice command which ranges from 0 to 10 I believe.

They seriously block out everything and have been the reason why I am now on my third pair (my first pair was taken without as by my ex but my second pair I gifted to my brother because I knew he’d appreciate them).

3. The headphones themselves are touched based with the exception of the on off, Bluetooth, noise cancellation buttons. Where you want to turn the volume up you just simply slide your finger up alongside the right side of the cuff in the volume goes up.

It definitely gives an easier user interface where it’s not too complicated and simplistic enough for anyone to be able to use.  4. I really enjoy the design on these headphones. Their light years ahead of its time and despite hearing some buzz that a new version is coming out which I won’t lie I’m quite excited about, I truly truly forsee myself using these until they are no longer working which I hope never happens design is headphones is very sleek, structured yet again very simplistic it was made for comfort but also make a statement while maintaining its functionality.

5. Now the most important thing would be the sound quality… There are two components to this part. The first is the app. The bus app that connected to the headphones also allows you to adjust your base and everything else depending on your preference.

Someone who enjoys a wide range of music and also just a general music lover, voice and sound quality is impeccable you hear music how it was meant to be heard. Second where I am using the headphones during a call I have always been told from the person on the receiving end that they haven’t heard crisper and clear voice quality from someone using headphones As much as with these.

I’ve also been told that these headphones reduce a lot of background noise that might arise when in busier areas which is great. 6. My only want with these headphones Is that I wish they were trackable given their price.

Other those products can be tracked through the bose app. I do wish that these had that functionality. Despite this anyone who I’ve introduced these headphones to have been mind blown as to how amazing they are.

Many of which have retired their headphones of choice, which may or may not be the other ‘B’ company of headphones, and have moved to the Bose family. For this reason they’re truly a two and one especially post pandemic and work from home set ups.

Depending on what else comes out and whether the next Bose headphones are a true step up I will probably continue to purchase these headphones and tell Bose no longer makes them.

Overall, this is a VERY worthy choice, one of the best three on the market for consumer use (calls, general listening, noise cancellation). Not up to reference level listening, though, and the battery life is fairly weak compared to competition, so be prepared for that.

Otherwise, they are well worth the purchase price and will perform superbly for most people. Compared to the Airpods Max, and the Sony WH10004, it is VERY similar. In the middle of the three for sound, more stable BT connection than the Sony, cheaper and likely more reliable than the APM, and with comparable NC and transparency modes, but it is the weakest of the three for battery life by a fair amount, getting 4-6 less hours rated, but more like 8 less under actual use.

PROS: -Excellent sound at this price point (subjective – some find them too bright) -Very stable BT connection even against strong interference -Very solid call quality and voice isolation -Very light and comfortable -Fairly solid construction SO-SO: -The app that controls features is still somewhat lacking -Not too feature dense -Relatively limited touch panel capability -MUCH more comfortable Noise Cancellation than the QC35 series, but the major competitors’ NC is just as effective – which is still excellent, I just wouldn’t use this as a decision point except against less capable headphones.

-Price is similar to major competitors (other than the Airpods Max, which are much more expensive) CONS: -Weak battery life against competitors! – rated for 18 hours from full charge, but will rarely get much more than 12 under normal use.

Although they charge quickly, this could be a significant detractor for some users, especially those who intend to use them away from home a lot where charging may not be readily available.

I absolutely love these headphones which totally proves to me you get what you pay for. I got these as cyber Monday deal 2 years ago, I was happy to be able to get them for $100 off. Not only are these great for listening to music but these are also awesome for talking on the phone.

The noise canceling technology also transfers to background noise that is removed when talking to others on the phone, so these are also perfect for any home office. The caller on the other end will not be able to hear any background noise on your end as well.

These have the sound quality that one would expect from Bose. These are also very comfortable to wear and can be paired to your TV for perfect enjoyment without disturbing others. These can also be used with Alexa, Siri, or Google Assist with the touch of a button.

It also has buttons for Bluetooth pairing and noise canceling presets. Touch technology on the right ear cup can be used to answer calls, volume control, skip ahead or back. A definite good buy for anyone who loves excellent sound quality paired with comfort and ease of use.

These are very sleek and have a good quality feel to them. Compatible with Dolby Atmos so this can be used for the current maximum sound quality available, for a perfect immersion sound quality experience.

A strong recommend if someone wants to pay extra for awesome quality. Comes with a durable zipper case which also stores the included charging and wired cables. I have only used these in Bluetooth connection mode but I would assume these would sound just as good wired.

After much research I bought these bluetooth Sennheisers after wasting money first on the Jabra Elite 45Hs, which turned out to have several severe faults, not least the connection problems. These Sennheisers may not have quite the same battery life, but they are substantially better in every other respect.

They are effortless to wear, they keep their connection to phone, ipad and TV, have the right codecs for proper lip-sync with TVs, and crucially they are true hi-fi quality. Midrange and treble are clear and sweet with music.

Bass is deep but not earth-shattering, but good enough for the average DVD or pop song anyway. The headband is pure Sennheiser minimalism, an unpadded, fairly hard plastic strip, but comfortable with just the right amount of grip.

The earpads sit on the ears rather than over, and provide a good seal without being too tight. They charge quickly with any standard 5-volt USB phone charger, there’s a decent app to set levels and preferred EQ, informational pilot light, and a small voice in them announces when they’re on, off, connecting, and the battery level.

For the money they’re at the top of the pile. Excellent value and highly recommended.

Cheapest looking/feeling Sennheisers i’ve tried. Luckily they don’t disappoint in terms of sound quality though. First the BAD: cheap-as-possible plastic construction, not even any padding on the headband.

Earcups kind of rattle around when you’re not wearing the headphones. They don’t fold. Using a cord isn’t an option. The GOOD: They do sound way better than they look. They come with very neutral tuning, so if you’re used to a more in-your-face headphone sound, you’ll want to connect to the app and adjust the EQ, which works well.

The BT connection is great – connected/reconnected to 5 devices with no problems. AptX Low Latency works great for gaming/movies. Battery life is great. The upside of the cheap plastic is that they are very lightweight, and pretty comfy for on-ear headphones.

Not my fav headphones ever, but they sound good enough that i’ll put them to good use.

Bought to listen to music and watch films on my laptop. Sound is outstanding, rich and full ranged. On/pairing/off and volume controls are easy. Feel on the ears is good, external sound muffled adequately.

The pairing with my mobile phone was seamless. However, it did not initailly pair with my laptop, took a few tries. Online searches suggest this is a Windows issue. Overall, an excellent choice and would recommend.

Buddy of mine recommended skullcandy, after a couple of hours comparing Bluetooth headphones, after my beats died finally. Had weighed pros and cons of mabey buying a new battery pack for them, so he reccommended them, and was searching around on Amazon and came across them, so found them and got a pair, firstly1.

Sound quality is amazing but I use a player app called jet audio, and playing around with the settings I was able to use thier skullcandy hesh hifi setting and the sound was pristine clear and bass hit where it was needed, tried even without that setting on and they were screaming, 2.

Price was reasonable for someone on a fixed income of ssdi, I paid 104 total for new pair when priced up against the jbl club anc priced 124 new, beats were ridiculously priced at 199, and I owned 2 pairs and neither one was reliable, they broke down after a few months of wear and tear, I once had a pair of the skullcandy jibs in ear, but one of the headphones went out, those I had for years.

3. Let’s talk anc for a minute, now I live in a powerchair and was once told by a spd officer that since I’m in a motorized vehicle(by their definition 😳) I need to use a hands free device to be safe.

Well I didn’t know that. So I’ve been using Bluetooth for awhile now, and lemme say this, out if the three brands, beats, jbl club, venue, I feel that the venue has the best quality when it comes to noise cancelling.

I can’t hear the traffic over the music I listen to,. I’m a metal guy. I like my music loud and proud, thank you, so the cancelling headphones that are the veneus are the best out of all three. I can’t hear the traffic over my music at all.

Drowns out background noise perfectly, 4. Charging aspect of headphones are surprisingly fast, since neither of the other 2 have that, and those were usb c cords. Where this is a micro charger, so charging them now to use tommorow, so will see how long they last So all in all I am quite pleased with this pair of headphones I got that are the venues, even the packaging was nifty, came with a really nice fabric lined padded case to put them in, and the box when I opened them had a magnetic sealSo do I reccomend these to anyone? HELL YES! BUY THESE!!!.

Let me start out with the bad; Battery life with ANC is only around 24 hours, there’s no USB-C charging or companion app and the sound isn’t world beating. But there are pros to cancel out those cons.

1)Sound quality is neutral and pretty good. It doesn’t suffer from an excess of bass that throws all sounds slightly off. 2)They can be found for under $100, and are a good value at the $80-90 price point.

3)They have the tile feature people seem to like and 4)the controls are very simple yet effective. I also found them to be comfortable. In terms of weight, they’re neither heavy nor light. I highly doubt you could use these everyday for years though; They don’t feel particularly durable so handle them with care.

Long story short, you’ll be disappointed if you somehow pay $140 for this but pretty happy with them for a little more than half that. As a comparison, the current model of the HESH-ANC is a little bit better but at a higher cost.

If you can spring for the extra $40, it’s not a bad idea but this is a nice budget option currently.

Had these for a few years and they’re still going strong. I use them every day for music, gaming and work meetings. The noise cancelling is perfect for me, gets rid of most distractions but if someone asks a question or a phone starts ringing you can still hear it.

Bluetooth is really reliable and has a decent range. They’re really comfortable and the buttons are in a good place. The battery life is also decent. I usually charge mines every other day. They charge really quickly.

Only downside is the plastic construction. They can be a bit creaky in your hands (especially after years of daily use) so don’t feel that premium. That said they are pretty hard wearing, mines have been dropped, chewed by the dog, and stuffed in a bag over and over again, and they’re still going strong.

I’d recommend these, and will probably buy another pair when mines die.

Sound quality will be disappointing for anybody coming from higher-end Sennheiser studio headphones. There is moderate bass boost but its murky and doesnt extend very low. The mid-range is present but reduced and not very satisfying.

The high-end is overdone and a bit fatiguing. Allover these lack detail. For some music these will be reasonably competent. I can see why some people like these for heavy metal and bass-heavy pop but honestly they arent that great even for this as the bass quality is fairly poor when compared to higher-end headphones with less bass-boost but cleaner sound.

If you can pick them up cheap then they are an okay option but dont expect much if you have discerning tastes. They wear reasonably comfortably for on-ear headphones. Fairly tight and fatiguing for hours of use but that is to be expected.

Be cautious of cable breakage. These would suit any in-field audio activity like sound recording/monitoring. Probably decent for DJs but there are plenty of other options. Home music producers would be better off with a better set of studio monitors (or use a good pair of bookshelf monitors instead).

So these are great for the intended purpose for use by professionals but for music listening or similar they are only okay, and disappointing when considering the retail price.

Aggressive midrange tires you out after twenty minutes. I’m guessing this is a plus for DJs? As does the awful design which means they are awkward to get to sit right – and because they sit tight doesn’t mean they sit right, they end up hurting and an endless attempt at trying to get them comfortable begins.

The only thing going for these is that they are fairly indestructible compared to some of the competition. Sony MDR7506s, though not as solid, sound much smoother and are MUCH more comfortable. If you are in field sound you won’t feel like the talent is scraping their nails down a blackboard when they speak too, plus they are cheaper.

Whoever designed the sound, did amazing, best sounding headphones ever. Amazing bass, good range, mids are great, they are comfortable as hell too. Whoever designed the ear cuffs shouldnt be in charge of anything ever again.

The ear cuffs are held on by an extremely fragile thin piece of loose plastic for 150 dollars thats so insanely foolish or worse predatory so you have to buy more. If you plan on taking these on walks or letting your family use them once in awhile id get the 99 dollar ones that have a hard thick plastic on the sides instead of being held together by a a ticking time bomb.

Im only keeping them because I was informed they have a 2 year warranty. Ridiculous design its like they want them to break or something. Id get the 99 dollar HD 280 Pro instead, they look solid, if I feel sketched out on these I may return for the 280 pro instead.

I wish I could attach a video to show you how insane this is.

Sound quality depends on two factors: 1) Reception, when using the radio feature. 2) Use of a good headphones equalizer app, when using an internet source or music player app. The radio lacks high quality sound but is over all adequate.

Internet or player sourced music sound quality is excellent, especially when tweeked with an equalizer. Fastest and strongest Bluetooth connection I have ever experienced. No issues. Fits head and over ears snuggly but comfortably.

Very good outside noise isolation. Construction & wiring seems solid & durable. Phone use has been good with adequate clarity of both in-coming voice and microphone. No issues. Fully charges in around two hours, full charge with Bluetooth connected playing seems to last less than a full 20 hours but adequate at around 12 to 16 hours.

Definitely saves on replacing disposable batteries. Whole unit collapses down into a compact piece easily stashed in a small bag or backpack. Frustrating at first, because of radio sound quality, but am happy with my purchase after working with it and finding other features that make it very good.

Would recommend.

I’ve had these for a couple weeks so far. I have used them for mowing with our loud, big riding mower, and with a push mower. I think it does a great job and I really like it a lot. I got them because I had been using regular ear protection muffs before, and would wear earbuds underneath to listen to music or podcasts.

I got so tired of doing that because during long mowing sessions (takes over 3 hours to mow our lawn with the rider), my ears would start to hurt so bad from the pressure of the earbuds. I even tried two different kinds of earbuds and they were both uncomfortable.

It got to where I cut mowing short and stopped early because of my ears hurting. Also where the earbud cords came out from under the muffs put uncomfortable pressure on my ears. A smaller annoyance was having the cord to deal with.

Now I don’t have to deal with any of that and these muffs work great. The hearing protection is ideal. The audio quality is good; it’s better than my earbuds, and I like the variety of being able to listen to AM/FM if I want.

I also tried using them for a long phone call with my parents, and they worked great. Before, after a long phone call, my ears would hurt from the earbuds, but that’s no problem now with these muffs.

My only complaint, and why I gave these 4 stars instead of 5, is because when it’s connected to my phone via bluetooth, even when I’m purposely not listening to audio on my phone, say I’m listening to FM radio, it continually causes my music or podcast to start on its own.

I’ll look at my phone screen and it just starts on its own! I hit pause, and then a few seconds later, it starts again! This happens over and over and over. I don’t understand why. It seems hitting the “play” button (to go to the next programmed AM/FM station) may be triggering it to “think” I’m telling the music/podcast to play, since it’s connected via BT and “it” doesn’t know I’m listening to radio and not using the BT.

But, it’s a minor annoyance. These muffs are worth it.

I am a woodworker by trade, and I spend between 4 and 12 hours in earmuffs every day of the week. I have Sirius Satellite Radio in the shop that transmits commercial free radio into my ears all day over the FM radio.

Over the past 10 years since switching to speakered earmuffs, I have gone through several pairs of Peltor and 3M brands (sound quality was amazing, but each unit only lasted about 9 months to one year each before having electrical issues).

Next up was QuieTunes from Elvex. The quality and battery life is top notch, but the sound quality is nowhere near the Pelter/3M brands. They are cracked and abused, but still going strong 6 years later.

I recently got WiFi in the shop, so now I can stream Pandora on my phone. In my line of work, a wire is not something you want dangling around you, waiting to pull your head into rotating machinery. Bluetooth capability is a perfect match for earmuffs, but the only other Bluetooth earmuffs that are available at this point are $100+.

I figured these were worth a try at $54. 00. I’ve been using them constantly since I got them a week ago. My review: Pros: – The Bluetooth syncs up easily and effortlessly. No need to re-sync every time you come back.

I just turn the headset on and it automatically finds my phone and connects. – The ear cups are large enough for my big ears. – Phone calls and texts ring through the transmission as you would expect.

I haven’t tried taking a call through the earmuffs yet, but the package claims it is possible. – Sound protection is great and evenly balanced between the ears. – Battery life so far has been amazing.

I don’t listen to my music loud, but I have used them every day since I got them and the internal rechargeable battery hasn’t shown any dip yet! I’ve been putting off throwing them back on the charger just to see how long they last.

I use them with my iPhone, and the earmuff’s battery level shows as a tiny battery right on my phone’s screen next to the bluetooth icon. Nice feature. – The bluetooth volume can be controlled with the headset knob and your sending device’s volume, unlike other models that only allow you to control the volume with your phone, etc.

Cons: – The spring loaded tension in the head band is extremely tight. I had to hyperextend the headpiece to relieve some of the tension so it wouldn’t give me a headache after 5 minutes of use. – I don’t consider my head to be oddly shaped or considerably large, but even with the adjusters all the way out, the cups are a little higher than I’d like on my ears.

– The sound quality is horrendous. Don’t buy these expecting a substitute for high-end audio headphones. Think AM transistor radio. Take a standard boombox and turn down the equalizers all the way – that’s what you hear.

If audio quality is important, I’d almost guarantee the 3M 90542-3DC model will have 10x better sound. But again, the 3M quality just isn’t there. I will try to remember to update this review with any new findings.

Let`s make things clear: I just purchased my third set of headphones Cowin E7. The very first (purchased in May 2018) had a structural problem a little in June or July 2019, after a year of fairly constant use (one earphone became dislodged and I couldn’t fix it).

I contacted Cowin and got a spare within 10 days. and I wear them very often. Suffice it to say that their sound quality is better than the Beats I received with a computer purchase. My second headphones are still going strong in 2021, and I just purchased a third for my son, to wear them with his iPod Touch.

The quality is superb, and the design makes it easy to wear them for relatively long periods of time (like two Netflix movies). Since I know about their customer service, I can trust this company and their products, and recommend them without reservation.

The sound performance in these headphones is what I like: they have a nice, rich bass, with moderately high treble. They are at their best with streaming platforms. I have also paired them with a Bluetooth-enabled portable CD player, my iPhone and an iPod, and the sound quality never disappoints me.

In short, I’m one very happy customer, and if my current headphones failed again. I will return to buy more from Cowin.

I bought the Sennheiser HD660S head phones and boy am I glad that I did. They are “open back” cloth ear pieces with a wonderful sound. The other pair of head phones that I possess are “closed back” with leather ear pieces.

I eventually stopped wearing them because they became too sweaty and uncomfortable and after approximately an hour I got bored with the music because the sound coming through was in my experience not so good.

Although this is a subjective experience. After switching to the Sennheiser HD660S head phones my experience in the change of detail, liveliness of the music and comfort was like night and day. I can wear these head phones for hours on end listening to any type of music and even watching programmes such as the news.

I just do not become bored and uncomfortable. They are well worth the amount of money that I paid for them. I read a write up of some one complaining that there is not enough bass coming through the head phones.

This is a subjective call but my subjective call tells me that my damaged hearing from my youth still easily picked up enough bass in the music that I listened to. I suppose “each to his own”. And as usual the Customer Service from Richer Sounds was the best.

The HD 660 S build quality and cable assortment are FIRST CLASS. Sound quality matches perfectly with my needs for reproducing the sharpness and tonal range faithfully. Just a pleasure to HEAR THEM WORK for hours as if they weren’t there.

The HD 660 S continues HD 6XX tradition which I have enjoyed and trust. Sennheiser’s QUALITY is something my experience has taught me that I CAN COUNT ON and expect. This conclusion is not so for other brand headphones.

I have also used Hifiman’s Sundara since March 2019 and I am OK with the sound, but the LACK OF BUILD QUALITY has demanded using GORILLA SUPER GLUE to keep together the cracking plastic on the headband, then wrapped with tape to give it the strength that was NOT BUILT IN.

The unit’s extra short cables (a pain) also needed glue at the ends that go into headphone cups for the lack of build quality. Sony’s audiophile line delivers in style but NOT SOUND for my book.

In short, these are amazing Open Back Headphones that blew my mind when I purchased them long back. It was my second open back headhone after a Grado that I purchased long back in 2010. Open back headphones may not be the best for daily usage and you need to be a quiet environment to really enjoy so I did not plan to buy anymore but after a friend gave me a demo of these headphones in his house, I took the plunge to buy them.

I purchased them pre-pandemic and in a way, I managed to get most of them as its an ideal headphone for home usage and long hours without any strain. These headphones sound amazing in every Genre of music you throw and its will not disappoint you come what may.

This is the headphone that I can assure will make your listening experience shift to a new dimension. The immersion you get with these headphones will just keep you hooked to these pair of cans. The sound signature that you get can be what is slightly on the darker side and may not sound as bright as many headphones but in no ways it causes any issues as with some time, you find a charm in the sound signature.

The only issue that I can indicate is that you need a proper Amplifier to really get the best of these headphones. Plug it to your phone or laptop, you will still enjoy it 95% but to get the best, a good amplifier is needed.

I use with a DAC/AMP combo and once you give it the power, these will just blow you away. If can afford just one good pair of headphones, then buy these and its hard to go wrong with these.

Loved the wired/wireless combo. That’s why I chose them. Very convenient for times when my Bluetooth isn’t charged or when I’m using a borrowed laptop that doesn’t have Bluetooth connection. Worked great for about 6 months then the noise cancelling feature went haywire.

The left ear has a reverb sound so loud I can’t have it on my ear. The other ear is fine. The booklet says it is the “noise cancelling” feature. But it describes it as a very low tone, which it was until it broke.

Now it’s loud. The three design flaws it highlighted for me were: noise cancelling is an automatic on/off feature so it can’t be turned off, and, a hard reset isn’t possible. So basically they were good earbuds (except they fall out easily) until they malfunctioned and now they are useless and I’m shopping for new ones again in half a year.

Exactly the Ideal form of noise cancelling headphones I would want. Very nice value for the price. Still, would be up for AAC codecs for a few more dollars. Would be nice if they find a way to make the earphones be more stable so they don’t slip out.

Few more hours of battery life would be awesome. Overall, definitely worth the value.

Active noise cancelling with bluetooth in in-ear headphones is not that easy to find. These are such. Now I can get navigation instructions from gps and listen music or use headphones for hands free when calling.

I like this model more than “neck band” models.

Holy goodness. I’m in love. From the design & packaging to the sound!! Everything is wonderful! The sound is so crisp and perfect at all levels. The highs meds and lows are wonderful. The bass is definitely better with noise cancelling activated(which alone works as a canceler) the design is wonderful and the use of recycled and sustainable materials just hits me in the heart.

I love the planet. And the packaging and presentation is wonderful right down to the little wrapper they come in (keeping that thanks) especially the CARRY CASE! Oh Lord I saw that and immediately fell in love.

And I’m going to need about 100 more stickers to go everywhere. I’m a Marley fan at heart to my soul. Seeing this brand and how it genuinely carries on his legacy in every way, makes my lil heart all warm.

Completely worth my money and I plan to buy more later on. Definitely looking at those record players. How wonderful would it be to play my bob Marley records on one of those! And pair it to my “get together BT portable” I got not too long ago from “the house of Marley” for the love of heck.

Pros: I really like these headphones. For music, they are more low-end focused but that is fine. For Bluetooth cans they are really good. I have a large head and finding cans that fit me is difficult.

These fit nicely, even when I am wearing glasses. The build quality is excellent. Material choices are excellent. Cons: They do not work at all for Microsoft Teams. I was really hoping to be able to use these for work, but no luck.

I can listen to music on my work computer but when I try to join a Teams meeting, the software recognizes the headset and the mic VU meter moves when I talk. But, I cannot hear anyone and they cannot hear me.

But for this big con, I would rate these 5 stars. The build quality is as good as my any of my many high end studio headphones. Yes, some of those sound better and are even more comfortable, but they are wired, have no mic, and are a lot more expensive.

So far, for a set of “premium” headphones, there is a lot to be desired. While the build quality and materials feel fantastic, the actual performance is abysmal. When the ANC is switched on there is a noticeable lag in the audio.

At first I though that this might be an issue with connectivity, but regardless of whether or not the headphones are paired via bluetooth or directly connected by 3. 5mm jack, the problem persists and the only way to rectify it is to switch the ANC off.

The bluetooth connectivity, however, is problematic in and of itself. Whether using with my (new) Macbook Pro, iPad Pro, or brand new iPhone 13 Pro (all of which are updated), the bluetooth connection is constantly lost and needs to be repaired – even at full charge.

This is the second pair of Marley brand headphones that I’ve purchased, but all things considered, and after this experience, it will surely be the last.

A few months ago, a coworker of mine purchased some Bose QuietComfort 35 ANC headphones for use on the frequent flights. We both agreed that they are great, but for $350, they probably weren’t worth it.

With that in mind I bought these for $45, and I’m pretty damn pleased! From what I can tell these were designed a few years ago to compete with the Bose QuietComfort 15 headphones. They are wired only (ie not Bluetooth), and use a single AAA battery to supply power to the noise cancelling mics.

That suits my needs as I’ll only use these while in the office at a computer or on flights. The sound reduction is not total, but it is very good. The sound reduction is about 19dB which very low compared to something like firearms hearing protection, but is okay if you’re just looking to lower the background din.

It’s best suited for low frequency background noises like airplane engines or the air conditioner. You’ll still be able to hear higher frequency sounds. Human voices are relatively easy to hear. Sound quality is good for things like movies and casual music listening.

I don’t consider myself an audiophile, so I haven’t taken the time to do any real, purposeful music-listening, but they sound fine if you’re just trying to get through a few hours of uncomfortable airline seats and crying babies.

I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable these are to wear. The cups fit my ears very well, the pads are soft and the pad material is among the best of any out of the box headphone pads I’ve used.

I spend 15 hours flying yesterday, and I never felt like I needed to take a break from these. The plane engines were never silent, but they made movies much easier to hear, and falling asleep was a snap.

If you need total silence, you’re probably going to need to spend $120-$300 more for the Bose, but I’d say these are.

My use of these headphones is in an office cubicle setting, using the “microphone” cable for Skype, and having music going all day long. The headphones are sturdy and comfortable. As I said, I wear these all day in the office, so would not be happy with headphones that cramped my ears or weren’t sufficiently padded at the contact points.

I have had these now for several months and am very happy with them. I am not an audiophile, so can not comment on the nuances of sound reproduction. That said, my music sounds great to me on these headphones, and audio coming over Skype is as clear as can be.

The microphone in the included mic cord also appears to have very good pickup without additional noise associated with cheaper mic cords. Noise cancellation is very important to me. It does a good job of removing low-range and high-range noises, which removes some of the impact of conversations going on around me.

This would be great for airline noise, although I haven’t had to use them on a plane yet. However, it isn’t perfect for silencing those next-cubicle-over conversations (I have yet to find noise cancelling which really works well in the vocal range).

I can still hear the conversations around me, but between the physical cushion isolation with the headphones on and the noise cancelation, it keeps things quiet enough that even without any music going I can stay focused on my own work rather than what is going on around me.

Obviously if I turn the music on the conversations pretty much go away completely. My one qualm with the product is that it eats through batteries (I rotate between three rechargeable AAA batteries – two in the charger and one in the headphones).

When the battery starts getting low and the noise cancelation is on the headphones emit an ear-splitting “dewhoop” sound, which is loud enough for the people two cubicles down to hear. This most often happens if I forget to turn the noise cancellation off when I leave for the night and work from home the next day; sometime in the middle of that day the headphones will start annoying the whole office telling them that the batteries are low.

It would be nice if there were some auto-off on the noise cancellation, or (more expensive to implement obviously) an “on the head” sensor which disables noise cancellation when the headphones are not on someone’s ears.

I’ve been able to use these in several noisy situations and I’m impressed. They really do work with the lower rumbling, droning bass sounds especially (e. g. automobile engines without mufflers). I haven’t had the opportunity to check them with the neighbor’s generator but am hopeful.

It’s amazing how much they dampen the sound when you flip the little switch although even without noise cancellation enabled they do block a lot of sound. They are very comfortable! The ear pads are very soft and cover the whole ear and the headband is adjustable to achieve a perfect fit over the head.

The battery is easy to install and the best part is that you never need to worry about charging. Just keep an extra battery on hand which needs to be changed after 50 hours of use. There are several attachments to use with various devices (e.

g. for listening to music) but I’m interested only in achieving silence when the neighborhood is noisy so I haven’t tried these. The carrying case is very well made with pouches for these cables and extra batteries.

I think this is an excellent product at a fair price and would definitely recommend if you need hassle free quiet.
