20 Best Headlamp For Hard Hat (2023 Updated)

I have had this head lamp for a year now. Let’s start with the strap. The strap is very sturdy, I have become a fan of the design of the strap. The grip of the strap is great on a hard hat and a winters cap, it just stays out.

The head lamps range of tilt is great. The high and medium lamp are bright and the battery life is great. I have used it I. The snow, rain, ice storm, hot and even submersed it by accident and no problems.

Dropped from my 21ft hunting tree stand and no issues. The battery compartment stayed closed, a big plus when it’s dark and you drop it and don’t have to go searching for the batteries on the forest floor in the dark.

It fell out of my bag and did not slip off my head (the strap works). For the price of this headlamp you can not go wrong! The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 is I wish there would be a dimming mode if you hold the button down.

No big deal though. I have no hesitation to buy another.

Wife purchased 3 for me and I was impressed with the quality. The new hands free feature is great. I have had many and I mean many flashlights but this one is my go to light. I was so impressed with it I gave one away to a rancher down the road and he was also impressed by the quality and easy operation of the hands free use keep up the good work DEWALT.

The GOOD!: Owned for 5 months so far. Heavy user. This headlamp works great. The hand sense works as indicated in the product descriptions. I use rechargeable batteries on this. Hasn’t failed me yet.

Has a nice long range to be able to see for many feet away. The BAD?: The took some getting used to to notice if the hand sense was on or off. Turns out there is a light indicator to tell you it is active.

The sense function also turns on and off if you walk past almost any close obstruction. In my experience with the tool it doesn’t matter what it is. As long as its close enough for the sensor to pick up.

Can lead to a little frustration. PLUS side! It has a direct on and off. So If you don’t like it. Just use the regular functions! and get over it. xD It’s novel in its creation. but in practice doesn’t always work as one may intend it to.

my 5 yo and I got one each. He loved using it during our week-long camping trip. It was easy for him to maneuver. It was a handy little thing for me as well, bright enough to see sufficiently with different settings.

Easy to adjust, battery life COULD be better but as long as it doesn’t die on me I’m good here. The only con is that when you look at the other person, they cannot see you because all they could see is a super bright light shining right in their face.

We ended up moving it slightly to the side to avoid blinding others, but it wasn’t much hassle and I’m sure the same applies to all other headlamps. I give these 5 stars regardless!.

This headlamp comes with two different headbands; one is fabric and elastic for use on your bare noggin, and the other is a heavy rubber strap for use on helmets. I use this light with the helmet strap for caving, and it stays in place well, even when being scraped against the sides of a cave passage, and cleans up easily.

The three brightness settings are good for different conditions, depending on the size of the passage or room I am in. Lower light for smaller crawls, map and instrument reading, or eating, and the high setting is good for large rooms and passages.

Battery life is good. On a 14 hour cave survey trip I changed the batteries once, in the last hour of the trip, not because the light was becoming dim, but because the built in law battery indicator (a small red led) was on, and it was a convenient time to do so before sealing my cave pack and beginning the long slog in a stream passage back to the surface.

Although I have not had the light completely submerged, it has become very wet and the post trip inspection showed no water infiltration. The adjustment range of the light (how far it can be rotated on the base) is good, and can be adjusted to put the light where you need it and keep it there.

This is a very good, relatively low cost light for caving.

Had to fix a 1 in sprinkler line that was leaking bad in the dark. It lit the ground up like daytime, hands free. One button makes it go on and off with a wave of hand. The other button has 4 different light adjustments.

Tilts for directing light on project. So lightweight, I forget I have it on. PG&E keeps shutting power down due to dry conditions and wind. Excellent light for setting up generator!! Bought 2, will get 4 More for gifts for family emergency bags!! LOVE IT!! Also has the blinking red lights, could be worn backward on head if on a bike in the dark.

I wish there was an industry standard for light mounts but there is not few other hard hats have any mounting option at all without using a rubber strap or drilling holes. a hard hat is the most comfortable way to wear a headlamp and keeps the light right where you need it , right where your looking Pro , good light with 3 settings , good illumination.

the light easily pops off the hard hat and has a magnet you can easily pop it off and put it on you tool box for charging from the USBc cable provided. can also easily carry a second light on the back.

or keep one charging while the other is in use however it also have very good battery life. the hard hat sits lower than any of my other hard hats , it is a 4 point suspension rather than 6 there is just less space to take a hit.

that is ok with me as I am using this to hold the light and not really in any sort of heavy fall danger. this does make it shorter and able to get in tighter places. Con , I have a big head size 8 I am at the limit of this hard hat I can not get a stocking hat under it like I can with my forestry helmet.

if you also have a big head this hard hat doesn’t have any extra room. it does say in the hard hat for size 6 1/2 to 8. it is that but no extra room beyond size 8.

As a college student seeking my Electrical Trades certificate, I’ve had to purchase a small assortment of necessary tools to get me through. The quality and comfort of this hardhat will not let you down.

It earned a special place in my heart recently with the winter storm in Texas. Like many, my power was out for a couple of days. The light from my hardhat remained bright throughout and saved my nights from being dark as I did not have any candles or a decent hand held flashlight.

I even had to crawl up into my dark attic to investigate a few leaks from the melting snow. My hat never fell off even though I made hard contact several times with my roof structure. My classmates are envious and always having problems with their hardhats from other brands.

I was chosen as a Klein Crusader by Klein Tools. They provided me with this free tool and other incentives to provide an honest review of this product. I am mainly a residential electrician however we do commercial jobs here and there, and my least favorite part is always wearing the hardhat all day, but this hardhat is going to change that! It is easily the most comfortable hardhat I have ever worn! It is so comfy that you almost forget your wearing it like baseball cap.

I got the hardhat with the vents on the side and let me tell you it is worth the few extra bucks to get the vents. When you’re working and sweating and especially bending conduit in the rafters of a commercial building a little extra airflow makes a huge difference.

The adjustment knob is very easy to use unlike other hard hats and can even be adjusted with large PPE gloves on. Also another nice thing is the sweat wicking pads on the front and side of hat, which help keep you cool and keep sweet out of your eyes! The last great thing about this Klein product is that they have made it headlamp ready.

It comes with a head lamp clip on the front and back of the hard hat so all you have to do it clip your Klein headlamp in and you’re good to go, no more goofy headlamp bands stretched out across your hard hat.

Over all it’s one of the best hard hats on the market in my opinion and I’d highly recommend it to anyone in search of a hart hat, but Klein or don’t buy at all!.

Several years ago , I bought one of these from a popular lumber retail store. I’ve bought numerous cheap head lamps and they are all in the trash now. This Coast headlamp remains and still burns through the darkness wherever I need it too.

Now,my wife who has diabetic retinopathy ( just call it creeping blindness) has fallen in love with Coast headlamp for craftworking. Needless to say,we are back in the market for more quality headlamps,for her and for me.

After checking out the insane price scale of the headlamp market,I’m back to the Coast brand for performance and value. What I really like about this headlamp is ONE BRIGHT LIGHT – not a Christmas tree of colors.

Also,it is built tough. What I don’t like is the battery plastic case on the back of the strap likes to slip off the strap. It’s designed to slip on the strap for convienance but my gremlin loves to slip off just to me make me angry.

I like that the light is pretty easy on the batteries it uses. I like that it’s easy to use,you don’t need a masters degree to click all the bells and whistles you don’t need in a headlamp. I just need a BRIGHT WHITE light.

My Coast light gives me that. Well,it will when I buy another one from Coast. For now,my wife is very happy with mine. Thanks,Coast.

I have purchased one after another HL7’s because they are so helpful. Have a spare in the house so there is always one on the hook when needed without hunting one down as I use them daily!. The continuous dimmer control and beam focus are key to its usefulness.

I use rechargeable batteries. The oldest one is about 10 years old and still in service. The newest had a hinge failure that was easily and promptly replaced by Coast’s lifetime warranty.

I have been using this Coast variable light control headlight for several years. For my purposes (handyman, daily use) it is the best headlight out there. It is the most practical headlight I have tried.

Other lights reduce or increase brightness by multiple clicks of the on button, which is tedious. This Coast headlight has a lever which allows you to control brightness continuously from very low to very bright.

This is a very functional and convenient feature. I have not seen any other headlight which has it. You can also easily adjust the beam from spot to flood.

For having the Klien Name, it was much less expensive than I would have guessed with being Vented and having an attached Headlamp. The only Con I can give is the Hat is on the Heavy Side. Not uncomfortably Heavy that you need to take it off often, but heavier than most.

My other main Hard Had is a Lift, very light, so I notice the weight right away. The Ratcheting Dial Tensioner is the best I’ve experienced so far. Tightens and stays tightened. Suspension is very comfortable.

The Padding sits just right and feels good on the forehead, even in really hot weather (Arizona Summer). The built in Headlamp really surprised me. It is a good quality Headlamp and is positioned in just the right spot.

Can be angled almost straight down to the brim to straight ahead and stays in position. It locks into a pre moulded slot in the front or the back of the hat (or you can use 2, front & back). I ran it on a combination of settings for 5 Ten hour nights without having to replace the batteries or any dimming.

The Vents are well placed and very easy to open and close (You need to take the Hard Hat off to reposition vents). If you work in dark areas, I do recommend giving this Hat a try, for the price, you will not regret the purchase.

I got tired of holding the flashlight for my husband so bought him this. It is an awesome light and my husband was so happy with it. Highly recommend for any wife/girlfriend who is tired of holding the flashlight while their significant other works.

Good brightness, positioning, and life, though meant for a hard hat, not a bare head.

It works great and stays put on a hard hat. A must for anyone in the construction industry.

This is, by far, the best flashlight that I’ve ever owned. At 800 lumens, it is incredibly bright. If you hold the on button for a few seconds, it switches to a low light option at 100 lumens that is perfect for when you don’t need such a bright light.

I love no longer having to constantly replace batteries. The rechargeable red lithium charged using a USB 3. 0 is one of my favorite features. Charge time isn’t bad at all and the battery life per charge is really good.

The charging port is opened and closed by simply sliding from side to side which allows the flashlight to be waterproof and dustproof up to abut 1M. According to the MFG, it puts out a high output bullseye beam that provides both spot and flood coverage.

I would have liked it if they allowed you the option to control the beam like most traditional flashlights. But, the amount of light it produces is amazing regardless. This flashlight will light an entire room in the dark no matter where the beam is pointed.

I can’t wait to test it out in the woods next year, and love the utility clip that it comes with for that purpose. Overall, this is an incredibly bright flashlight with well thought out and practical features.

Spent $100 on this flashlight. Milwaukee promised it was rugged dustproof and built to last and was rechargeable. It was bright and worked well for 6 months. Home Depot would not honor the warranty and Milwaukee won’t either.

Milwaukee is going down the drain. In the past 4 years it gets worse and worse but the equipment gets more expensive. Goodbye Milwaukee! Get a Klein Tools Flashlight! It’s better and they stand by their products! Get rid of Milwaukee now!.

I absolutely loved this flashlight when I first got it. It was very bright and seemed very durable. That lasted about 3 week’s total. I noticed the light getting dimmer and dimmer even after full charge.

Then I dropped it while only standing flat on the ground and now the USB light will only flash green then right back red even after charging. I am very dissatisfied especially after being so excited with how it first worked.

Easy to operate. Three different light levels, plus a blinking light. Sealed against water intrusion. Easy to change batteries, and the headband includes a tool to assist in opening the flashlight, if needed.

Very comfortable and works with a variety of headwear. High and medium beams are great for finding your way. The low beam works well around camp and for reading. If you use mostly low beam, the batteries last a very long time — typically more than a week on my backpacking trips.

As the batteries wear out, the flashlight reduces availability of higher beam levels, first replacing the high beam with medium and finally replacing all beam levels with low beam. When the intermediate beam is no longer available, I consider the batteries worn out and I replace them.

Runs on 3 AAA batteries. Hinges can break if dropped on a hard surface, but you can patch that with some tape and keep going. I have several of these headlamps, and every one I’ve ever bought is still working.

The main problem I’ve had with this type of headlamp is that sometimes the lamp is accidently turned on while in my pack, perhaps be being poked by something else in my pack. To prevent that, I typically remove the batteries when I stow it my pack in the morning and put the batteries back in when I’m ready to use the lamp again.

Fortunately, the case is very easy to open and so this is not difficult to do.

The Princeton Tec QUAD II Intrinsically Safe headlamp is really bright. The name indicates it puts out 78 Lumen but that really didn’t register to me just how bright that is, until I used it in a darkened room.

Fantastic! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is no red led. I was under the mistaken impression that the QUAD II had a red light, but it doesn’t. I frequently used the red light on my previous headlamp at home when I needed light to find something/do something when my wife was asleep.

The red light doesn’t bother sleepers at all. But this light REALLY puts out the light. I can live without the red light though. I am still very pleased with the performance of this little powerhouse.

I had one of these for around 10 years, and am now replacing the old one since the switch became dodgy. The new one has a better, faster blink rate, and is brighter. I use this as bike helmet light, on blink.

On that setting, the battery life is allegedly 5 hours; for me that’s a couple of weeks of winter commutes, or can easily cover most of my night rides. The last one was good in the rain and kept going for about a decade.

It’s not unreasonable to expect this one to perform as well.

Indispensable! We have a disabled child who requires treatments, medications, and equipment checks overnight every night. For years, we fumbled with small flashlights which were less than ideal. Although it seemed like a goofy thought at first, our transition to using a Coast headlamp has been an absolute game changer.

With this model, the red light doesn’t bother our child nearly as much and I can’t tell you all how critical it is that our second hand is freed up from holding a light source. Ever try to string and start an IV with one hand? Just sayin’.

So thankful we made the transition to a headlamp. And Coast makes really good ones. I rate this particular model with four stars only because the design is an issue. Where the wire enters the battery pack is a failure point.

We have had two replaced now due to that same failure. I believe having the battery pack integrated with the light with no exposed wire would be more reliable and will be the next design type we will consider.

Now, with that said, Coast is very, very good about standing behind their product. I contacted them both times about these failures and they sent replacements. One time I had to pay for shipping but one time did not.

The very best single click headlight on the market. I put on and fish a weekly night bass tournament in Louisiana. Single click is very important to us. When you hook a fish, you need to get a light on your line and fish as quick as possible to better play it, as well as for your partner to get a net under.

You don’t want to have to click three or four times, fish will be gone. These headlights are the surest ones we have found! Band is super adjustable to any heads with or without a cap. The flip down feature is great to retie or to change baits.

No need to readjust head band! All and all the best light we have ever used. It is fantastic that they have a lifetime warranty as well. We are not easy on them.

Outstanding customer service. When I contacted them that they headlamp was malfunctioning, all they asked for was a picture of the product to prove I owned one. They then promptly sent me a replacement at NO COST.

I found this refreshing, since a couple weeks before I had to contact the makers of the OtterBox smartphone cases, because the rubber of my portion of my case was stretching out of shape, and I wanted them to replace it under their guarantee.

OtterBox said OK, but I’d have to pay the $7 shipping and handling fee; given the retail cost of this case, that $7 probably covered their cost for a new case and slow boat shipping, since I still haven’t gotten the replacement, but my credit card has been charged.

Bottom line, Coast Products and their Coast Headlamps have earned a customer for life, while OtterBox has not. Also, this is the only Coast headlamp of the 6 – 8 that I own has had an issue with battery life; everything else about this and the other lamps of this model that I own work great; easy ON-OFF button, tilting light, 3-strap headstrap keeps them securely in place.

I definitely recommend Coast as a company and their headlamps, particularly models: HL3, HL4, HL5, HL8, HL8R, HL27, HL40, and HL45.

I wear my COAST headlamp on my hardhat primarily during inspections and work related activities, however doing any job around the house, or working on the car where you need hands free lighting, it proves invaluable! The design of the headlamp is well thought out for it’s functionality and durability.

With an easy on/off pushbutton the powerful LED light gives ample illumination for close-up work and ambient surroundings. The articulating head is especially helpful when aiming the light exactly where it’s needed when getting in close to objects.

The headlamp is constructed to last and is a good value!.

This lamp feels pretty decently built, especially for the price, but there are some issues with durability. I have owned two of these, both broke in the exact same spot. They break at the place where the headband attaches to the battery pack, because of this the headlamp becomes unwearable since the battery will flop around widely.

Additionally, the plastic pieces holding the wire to the headband are prone to breaking/coming loose. It depends on what you intend to use this headlamp for, but it’s not my choice for activities like night hiking where durability is key.

First, this is the best package of light to size I’ve found. My main applications are western hunting, eastern hunting, and fishing. plus work around the house and cutting wood. Positive: 1. I have used it to see more than 100 yards in the dark while elk hunting in order to orient myself and stay on track finding camp.

It can light up a ton of realistate. That is my favorite thing about it. It also has plenty of light for blood trail tracking in the dark. \ 2. The light brightness is highly variable. You can make it really dim and make the batteries last forever.

This allows you not only the ability to extend your batteries, but it keeps the light from disturbing things that don’t want light- like walleye’s in shallow water. It keeps spooking to a minimum. What makes the Coast especially good is that you don’t have to click through various light intensities to get there.

You can turn it on and off at the separately set light interval. For someone who likes to have my light off most of the time, this system is really helpful. Design issues: 1. There is a plug connect between the light and the battery.

I think this is to keep the wire from pulling and breaking. However, if it comes unplugged, it is not easy to replug in the dark. It’s not all that easy in the light. I really don’t like this design.

I put on the light and it doesn’t work, and then I need to fumble with this plug to get it to work, and I don’t like it. 2. The bottom hinge on the light is make of plastic. I have owned this light for about 4 years, and I’ve had to send it back twice for a new hinge.

It seems to be the weakest part of the light and I consider it a design flaw. It’s a simple design, but it’s failed me. I didn’t have the light on my last trip out west because I was shipping it back.

This is my biggest criticism of the light. Coast has been really good about replacements. Good customer service. I would buy the light again.

I’m an electrician and I use this headlamp on a regular basis, since electricians have to work in dark places such as attics, crawl spaces, etc. Everything is great about this headlamp (i. e. weight, brightness, comfort when you wear it, light focus,etc.

) except one thing: the hinge. The hinge is weak. I’m a kind of person that handles tools gently and with care. Nevertheless, the hinge of this headlamp has broken on me many times. The manufacturer should change the design of the hinge of this great headlamp and make it stronger.

Performance of this headlamp is excellent. There are two features that make this headlamp above others, the adjustment of the beam, and the adjustment of the brightness. The hinge is only one weak point on this product.

It broke on my headlamp but light still working. I made contact with Coast customer service due to there lifetime warranty and they did without hassle backed up their product and replace my headlamp.

I only paid about $7 for S/H.

Very comfortable head band. Seems well made. Adequate lumens, easy controls. Opening battery case not as intuitive as you would hope, since the instructions dont provide instructions on that step: Pull the case away from the back panel (this lets the light tip down if you want a different angle for the beam) pry the clear plastic tab on top up and forward (it does not have to move much), at the same time, pull the front away from the back of case.

Im right handed so my right thumb pries up the clear tab. I grip the sides of the case tightly (just the very back edge) with my left hand and pull apart. Install batteries by polarity and snap the case firmly shut.

I bought this specifically for night photography, frequently done with groups. I have not yet used this light in the field (stay-at-home restrictions). This light does have several white modes; useful for finding your way at night over rough terrain to get to photo site and to set up tripod.

The key feature of this light (which others so not have), is that it remembers that you last used the light in RED mode, so the light can be turned off and on again (to adjust camera settings) without going thru the white mode lights first.

This feature does NOT destroy one’s night vision capabilities during the duration of the photo shoot. I did not rate this light higher because I have not yet used in the field.

Just as what I expected. Its lightweight and really like the downcast feature. The light mode need to be adjusted as soon as possible is the downside of this product. If it can be adjusted at anytime once it activated should be great.

Great little headlight small and light weight . Bright and simple to use, even the red light works very well for not disturbing others. Very good product.

Fairly bright for the price and a reasonable variety of settings. I like that the red is the first setting, one doesn’t have to move through the bright white lights if one is trying to preserve one’s night vision.

The light didn’t only project forward, but also downward, which I reduced by using a black marker on the bottom of the light. For walking I like a wide angle floodlight and it does this reasonably. However, there is a rather abrupt boundary at the edges of the beam; I have a light of another brand, which has an even wider beam without an obvious edge.

Like most headlamps without a strap over the top of the head, it is easy to accidentally put it on upside down in the dark. I haven’t had it long enough to be able to comment on its durability or waterproofness.

(Free product in exchange for review) This is a wonderful product from beginning to end. First, the packaging was easy to open. As far as the product, it was user-friendly. The strap was easy to adjust and attach to the headlight.

Second, it was easy to move the battery cover off and added the three batteries that were included in the package. The lid is part of the device so you can’t lose it. That’s all I had to do and there are three physical light positions.

I have used others before, but this one was bright and so easy to use, and I didn’t see a glare so I actually saw what was in front of me. The batteries will be so easy to replace. Finally, I like the Energizer brand and trust it so I was hoping that it collaborated with a good product.

It did not disappoint and I would recommend this product to friends and family. Also, it will be put to use nightly as I am an avid gardener and when telework is over, I will be returning home to my garden in the dark again.

I thought these headlights/lamps were very versatile in their uses and extremely useful. They are great for outdoor uses such as camping and hiking when it starts to get dark. They are also very functional and useful for household tasks if you need additional lighting.

Things like going up into an attic or working under the car these become very useful and applicable for. They are awesome because they take AAA batteries and they are also very lightweight. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I’m a professional/union stagehand. Theatre, concerts, audio visual & film/tv production worker. Everytime I use this, coworkers are so impressed when I allow them to “try it”. I also use it around the house for tasks that other headlamps are cumbersome/awkward.

The sleek forehead profile is awesome. Wow. Fantastic. Have also used it walking my dogs or riding my bicycle @ night. Truly a terrific product.

This is a great light for direct head mounted use. The issue is I bought it for on my hard hat and because of the slim design there is always a shadow in my direct line of site. I have to tilt my head forward and my eyes upward.

I really wish someone made a truly good hard hat light that doesn’t require extra mounting equipment.

And loved it so much for walking my horse from hurt paddock to the arena each night when it’s dark out. Battery last way longer than other head lamps plus this one is so much more comfortable on. Came back and bought 3 more for stocking stuffers.

Coast is great for backing up their products with user-friendly warranty support, like a wiring issue or battery cartridge that broke. It’s an old fashion value of putting yourself in the other guy’s shoes and it’s won my loyalty.

Great headlight, bright, good battery life, comfortable strap. I use this light all day long 5 days a week for work & average almost 2weeks on a set of batteries.

Loved my USB rechargeable so I thought I’d give this a go…. Love pretty much everything about this light, the magnetic feature is really nice for tight spaces and it’s pretty strong. The flood/spot combo beam is great for outside.

Battery life in the cold however is it’s major flaw. Threw this on tonight to snowblow the driveway at -18C and it was flashing red in 20 minutes. It lasted the duration I was out but after it flashed it really wasn’t usable light, not seen over my implement light on the blower.

Will stick to my AAA headlamp for the cold. This one for everything else.

Why did Milwaukee even bother with this light. The other USB headlights are average, but the battery doesn’t last long enough. At least with them you can switch the “red lithium usb” aka 18650. This one takes forever to charge and the battery life is terrible, even on middle settings.

Waste of money. I do like the magnetic flashlight that came out at the same time as this, but this is junk coming from Milwaukee. I own a ton of Milwaukee which I like, so this isn’t just hate.

I have to say I got this to replace a Nitecore headlamp that my wife bout me for Christmas. But this does not come close when it come to led color brightness and the longevity of the battery. She paid considerably less for it and it’s a better product.

The pros are the the build is nice and the magnet feature is pretty cool but the battery life sucks. I can’t even get through a complete project without the battery die if on me and also I don’t seem to understand the modes it doesn’t seam very Intuitive to me.

Got this for night fishing. I love it, especially the feature that turns the lamp on/off by waving your hand in front of the lamp. No more fumbling for the switch when a fish bites. It saves the last setting so you don’t have to scroll through to get to the one you want.

The red LED is useful because you won’t lose your night vision. It also came in real handy while doing a brake job. I always had light focused exactly where I was working. No more messing around with repositioning a work light.

It throws a good strong beam on the spotlight setting.

I opened the package to work on my car as it is getting dark and into the night. I also bought a pack of AAA batteries for the garage to replace these as needed. When I was changing the inner tie rod on my civic the light was very handy as it was 10 or 11 pm very dark.

The light tilts and turns it audibly clicks and stays in place which I used. I had to cut the clamp off and use a zip tie to return the boot. This light helped ensure I placed it properly onto the boot.

All in all the light was comfortable and priced well for an LED. The bands were a little confusing at first but it stayed in place fine.

I bought this to help with the fireworks for 4th of July. It allowed me to have both hands free. But, what was more impressive was the 3 lighting features. From spot light, flood light, to red; it really was bright enough to illuminate at a far distance as well as the surrounding area.

For the price, it is definitely something worth keeping in your car, camping backpack, or qtoolbox.
