20 Best Hats For Chemo Patients (2023 Updated)

I purchased the Gabi hat and received it on June 21, 2022. When I tried on the hat, I was not impressed with the fit. I couldn’t secure a tight enough fit and the Velcro kept getting tangled in my hair.

I have thick curly hair. I decided to return the hat, since it didn’t fit correctly. After a night of mulling it over, I decided to make some adjustments to the hat. Here are the issues and what I did to make the hat fit better.

Incorrect placement of Velcro I removed the Velcro and switched their placement. The hook side of the Velcro should be on the left tab and the loop side should be on the right tab. -This now alleviated the problem of the Velcro getting caught in my hair.

Velcro not long enough I increased the length of the Velcro by 1″ for a total length of 2 7/8″. -This now allowed me to get a tighter fit. Hole for ponytail not long enough I have enclosed a picture of the hat on my head.

The arc should be a little bit taller. I have drawn a line on the picture to show where the hat bends. My thoughts are that the arc is not tall enough. Apologies, I took the picture myself. FYI: The scrunchie was not in the way.

The bias tape surrounding the arc is actually resting on my hair. -Unsure how to solve this problem without cutting the hat material and adding more bias tape. I want you to know that I own 3 of your hats: Victoria, Josie and Cape Town.

These all fit amazingly well, even with my thick curly hair! They have also lasted for many years. The Victoria has been mine for about 10 years and still looks great! I believe in your product, which is why I was willing to spend $51 on your ponytail hat, instead of purchasing one from Amazon.

I wish I could say I was as happy about this hat as I was of the others! Positive note about the hat: I like the size of the brim. It is not too big and will do a great job of shading my head. I gave this 3 stars because material is quality and with some adjustments the hat worked just fine.

I bought the Darby hat for my daughter’s birthday. She was extremely excited and thrilled with her new hat. It fits perfectly due to the adjustment ties under the brim. It’s comfortable and looks amazing on! It is exactly as described.

I love love love this hat. I wore it pretty much the entire time I was away on a beach vacation. I wanted a hat that would go with everything and the colors of this hat are perfection. I am trying to be better about protecting my skin from the sun and I am outside a lot during the summer at the pool, so this is going to be worn everyday during the summer.

I had been looking for a hat I actually liked for quite awhile and was very excited when I found this one. I am not a hat person, so that was quite a challenge. If you are looking for the perfect summer hat, this is the one!.

I have bought four of these hats now. 2 in each color. I keep 2 for and 2 for just wearing out. They feel and look dry if you wkout. Interior dries quick if you sweat a lot. Shape is perfect. Not quite trucker style but not too low profile either.

Pure perfection in a hat. Make more colors please!!.

I am disappointed. With the slightest breeze, the front brim on the Emma Featherweight Ribbon Hat flips up completely, so that you get no sun protection for your face. And I am talking about the tiniest breeze – if the breeze can move your hair, it will flip up the brim and thereby fully exposing your face to the sun.

The flipped up brim is straight upward vertical, giving no blockage at all. Often, days here in California will have at least a tiny breeze, so I can’t use this on most days. When I have worn it, I wind up constantly having to hold down the front brim with one hand against the smallest breeze.

That’s just not acceptable. I purchased this hat because of the wide brim, the fact that it is packable, the SPF, the color and the plain, simple decoration. But I didn’t expect this flaw, which has made this hat unusable on most days.

I have worn it so I cannot return it; instead I will need to spend more money to buy a different, better designed hat.

Manages to be light and substantial, holds its shape well, and looks BEAUTIFUL. Really enjoy the small details, and the cord is a reassurance that everything stays where I put it. Purchased the grey/blue colour; would buy again!.

Love this hat! It’s lite, flexible and the brim is large enough that provides the perfect coverage. I bought this hat specifically for a sailing trip and the strap came in very handy as it stayed put on my head during very high winds.

I bought the tan so that it goes with everything I wear. Highly recommend it!.

I’m a gal with a big head (apparently) at 24 inches around. I ordered both the Outback AND the Victoria fedora — and the Victoria was a little snug. The Outback? Perfect, perfect, perfect. Comfortable, cool looking and incredible sun protection on an all day outdoor trip which included a few boat rides.

And the ocean winds couldn’t budge the hat from my head (and it still stayed comfortable!) Highly recommended, 10/10 would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I purchased my Wallaroo in 2018 and it is still going strong. I where it for work and because it is packable, I packed it when my wife and I went to Peru. We traveled Paru and packed it several times and it always came out looking great.

I have since purchased 2 more Wallaroo’s. I saw my first Wallaroo in a dermatologist office and I purchased one and never regretted it. I am now thinking abouit purchasing another one for a friend of mine.

I have been wearing Wallaroo hats for over 10 years. After wearing out my last Outback hat, I placed a recent order but found a small flaw so I returned the hat. Their customer service was incredible.

These are honest, caring people. Plus, they make great hats. I use my Wallaroo mostly for golf as a typical golf cap doesn’t really protect your head from the sun. These hats provide sun protection and are quite fashionable.

Amazingly, just today, the starter at our course said “you have the best ‘fedora’ in the whole club!” Really! I have never written a product review before in my life. However, I just want to support this great American company with excellent customer service and wonderful products.

The Cardani Cuddle Cloche is my favorite hat. It is so soft and is the perfect comfort and softness. Love the stretchy material and the cute style with the flower! It comes in a wide variety of solid colors and prints, but Sapphire is my favorite color.

I bought two so that one can be washed while I have a clean hat ready.

First I do not like any clothing that is tight fitting. I first ordered the smaller size. The “band” was too snug for me. The band on the large is quite comfortable. But because it is for an overall larger head the top is a bit baggy.

The fabric is wonderfully soft and comfortable.

I didn’t think about it until I received the two caps (which are very nice), but they aren’t ideal if you wear glasses because the cap has to fit over the frames. This interferes with the way the caps frame the face.

What would be really slick would be to add reinforced slits in the sides of the caps so the glasses could be slipped on after you put the cap on. That would look so much better.

This hat is cute and comfortable. I ordered the wrong color and the Headcovers Unlimited was great to let me refund and reorder. This is the best company around. Watch the small print on some of the others that have a cancer donation link on their page.

Read the small print. I lost big on another company due to the wrong colors for my Mom. This company is legit and awesome and does care for it’s customers. Best prices, too. 5 stars!!!!.

I love this hat; wear it every day everywhere. Mostly out walking in my neighborhood. It’s never blown off like a regular baseball cap. I wish you still had it in navy blue. My first navy one has faded from wear & sweat.

Not so pretty anymore, but still works. I like the whole-head fit.

I’m a cancer patient (7 yrs cured), I bought my covers because my current hats were getting worn out. I don’t like regular baseball hats because of the hole in back shows my bald head. I had whole brain radiation and will not get my hair back.

These covers go all the way down my head. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because one hat the same size it tighter and looks strange and they tend to ride up in the back. Perhaps a larger size would fix that.

Otherwise, very happy with my purchase.

The beanie is Lightweight and casual look. I have a smaller sized head and this stretches out to a little bigger than I would like but I just give it a shift when needed. I wear these beanies all the time.

Though also casual, The Couture cap feels a little dressier than the beanie and I wear those when going out.

I chose this style because it looked simple and without too many folds or gathers. But being so simple it is also a little too close to my bare head and makes my head looks smaller and obviously bald underneath.

I am still looking for designs that act to give a better shape and are also comfortable to wear. The fabric is very nice, smooth and cool to wear.

Love this!! So comfortable I forget I have it on my head. I wear it inside, outside (and it’s very cold weather) transition is seem less. I got 5 colors and am getting 2 more. Get compliments from everyone even people with hair want them.

I bought the grey one first and found that I was using it more than any other head covering. I had chemo and my hair is half gone and very messy, but it was easy just to slip on the tiffany turban. I wanted something a little brighter so I bought the one in burgundy.

I really like both. They are warm enough for winter but not too hot for spring and the ridges and extra material make it seem almost like having hair. I also appreciate the bamboo for environmental reasons.

The grey one got a little looser after I washed it. The new one feels a little tight now but is still comfortable.

I first bought the ribbed mulberry colour 6 months ago and love it, it is comfy and roomy, gives your head fullness, can be pulled down partially over your ears and the amount of fabric allows you to tilt the beret to the side or back like a French beret look.

I recently bought the four other colours and found the navy ribbed and the silky textured wine were way too tight in the headband, too tight around my head and not roomy enough to tilt or put to the side (the navy one may stretch but the silky textured wine will not).

The other two colours the brown ribbed and charcoal ribbed are great, give fullness, comfy and roomy and will stretch a bit more through wearing. Please note: I have a small face and head so if you have a larger face/head this item may not be big enough for you.

I’ve worn both as a sleep cap and out. They are comfortable and easy to pop on. The trucks give the cap some fullness and style. One cap had stitches that had pulled out of the tuck seam where it had not been back sewn properly.

I sewed a few stitches by hand to secure it.

It meant all the recommendations I was given. It was so comforting and reassuring that I felt really confident to give it to a friend. She was very happy to have it. (Especially since it came during a snow storm.

It kept her head comfortable).

I order many of these hats. Depending upon color, they are not always 100% cotton as claimed but contain elastic/spandex stretch that makes the hat stick to my head unstylishly and overheat uncomfortably.

The 100% cotton hats are simply wonderful, but you never know what you are going to get.

Very soft. I love these covers because they are soft, and very easy to put on and off. No Tying knots behind my head that I can’t see and are uncomfortable when you lay down. I get hot flashes off and on all day, so my head cover is off and on also.

I just received the one Newsboy Cap I have always wanted. The leather is subtle, smooth. The hat is sleek along the sides, and elegant. It does not puff out. It is exactly what I have been looking to purchase.

So why such a low rating? Well, for all the bald men out there: the problem is the plastic piece that holds the tags and advertising piece of hard paper on the back of the cap. The plastic is embedded into the back of the fabric and completely removing the piece of plastic is impossible.

It pokes into the back of my bald head and it irritates the skin and is very uncomfortable. Plus, trying to cut it as closely as possible to the leather, well, you may inadvertently cut into the leather.

Frustrating why Q&A do not simply use a safety pin or just attach a string to the top of the cap or any hat for that matter to simply remove it. No need for this. Real shame. Returning. But, would 100% purchase it if this aspect were remedied.

Wish there were a wider variety of colors with this style. Fits great. I purchased a Bailey last year from Meyer the hatter in New Orleans shaped like this, but with a soft bill. Wondering if you will be offering another one of those.

I love how it looks! Probably the best looking hat I have. The quality is top too. My only minor issue would be sizing, I have other Bailey hat is smaller size, had to size up for this one and go through return/reorder process.

Customized these hats to have a small letters in the bottom corner. when i received the hats the letters took up the entire left half of the hat. Totally wrong from what the picture i customized showed.

I never got an email to confirm or asked about it either. totally awful design and customization. what you customize and see online is not what you will be delivered. From the design it should be HALF the size!.

Order for our community’s annual Watermelon Festival. Due to pandemic low supply issues for Richardson caps, I started searching Google and came across your company and noticed these caps. I was very pleased when I received the order.

I like the color and the words added are nice. Its not the hat i thought it was going to be according to the photo. This hat fits flat on my head instead of having the baseball cap (where the top piece stands up so you can see the words) like in the photo.

Its just a shame the hat is too small for my head, and I spent all that money. I order one for my brother also.

The hat is great, but I had a puzzling experience exchanging it when I noticed a flaw. The hat I received had a small discoloration on it a white circle on the front. Some people might let it slide, but I decided, for a hundred bucks, I wanted a flawless hat.

The exchange process was easy, but when I received the “replacement” hat, I realized it was exactly the same hat that I had sent back, complete with the same discoloration and also the two spacers I had inserted in the sweatband.

I called Bailey customer services, who were very nice, no problem there, but I was told that whoever processes returns “didn’t notice” the discoloration and thus sent me back the original hat. No email notification, no explanation.

Just a boomerang of the original hat back across the country. Anyway, it was resolved, as I’m now sending the hat back a second time, with a replacement promised. This time, though, I’m going to wait until the replacement ships before sending the flawed hat back.

The Curse of Covid?.

Low key but slick fedora. Definitely more of a “gangster” than “old man” fedora. I got it in the “midnight mix” color which is true to its name in that it appears almost black at times. It also feels more formal in this color.

I got the XL which fit nicely once I fixed it with some comfort strips (I’m between sizes so I tend to size up). One gripe is the brim. The length is flattering to my features but it’s floppier than I expected.

In the pictures the hat seems to sport a stiffer, more upturned brim at the sides. Still a very nice hat and worth the price I got it for. The Lightfelt is very comfortable. 3 1/2.

I wanted an affordable, classic felt Fedora that was made in the USA and could stand up to rain and snow. This is my first Bailey hat, and it won’t be my last. It’s beautiful, carefully made, and extremely comfortable.

The wool felt is water repellent and feels like soft fur felt. I wear a size 7 1/8 in a Stetson and Bailey’s size medium fits me perfectly. Just like the quality of the hat, the quality of Bailey’s customer service is excellent.

I had a question about my order and their customer representatives were friendly and helpful. The shipping was reasonable, the hat was packed well, and they even included hat sizing strips in the box, (although I didn’t need them).
