20 Best Hats For Bald Guys (2023 Updated)

Brought a hat, that didn’t quite fit. Took a chance buying it online. But not something I’d recommend. As I’ve now learned, hats always look different once on compared to just looking at a photo. Paid for postage to send it in the first place, then Paid for postage return, then postage to get the right size back.

Paid more for postage than the value of the hat. Wouldn’t do it again.

When I bought my original Sun Tripper cap about 5 years ago it quickly became my husband’s (he is bald and needs more sun protection). So I bought another for myself. When the fabric at the brim where he always grabs it started to give out last year I bought him a new one, though he INSISTED the original cap was fine.

I convinced him it is ok to have a backup. And when I saw the color selection had increased a bought a new one for myself as well so we aren’t always matchies. The Sun Tripper is light weight, easily stuffed in a cargo pocket or a bag, has great ventilation, the adjustable fit, and an interesting little pocket inside of the crown.

I mean, you could put something in there. I don’t because I need the ventilation out the top. But its there if I need it. This is a fantastic military styled cap. Buy one. Or two. Because you never know who’s going to start calling it their own.

I got it to save my eyes from sunscreen sting while working in the sun to clean up the ice storm debris. Suffered 2nd degree burns to my face and ear earlier this year and I have to keep the healed skin protected from sun.

The hat covers my ear and from nose up so I do not need to get sunscreen near my eyes. Large fits my head well and it is not as cumbersome as designer sun hats for women usually are.

We are in the midst of an extended heat wave. My old straw hat just wasn’t cutting it! The Breezer hat is great – a lot cooler and dries in minutes! I recommend this product to anyone who spends time working in the sun.

I use this hat when I’m gardening and when I take my afternoon walks. It’s very cool and doesn’t make my head hot like some other hats I have. It’s able to “breath”. I would definitely buy this hat again.

I’ve purchased 8 of these to give as gifts, kept 2 for myself. Everyone LOVES these! Very practical for so many uses, and perfect for just about everyone. My mom is in her 60’s, she asked for 3 and wears them all the time as she comes and goes — the light helps her see the footpath clearly, find the keyhole to her house door, helps her to be seen after dusk walking the dog, etc.

My retired senior dad is very handy, loves to do outside projects or fix things around the house. This helps him aim the light where he is looking and frees his hands to use his tools, etc. My brother loves to go camping with his family and loves his handy cap.

Every person has given huge compliments to this LED cap. Very bright, light lasts a good long while, attractive colors, easy to change batteries. I’m buying a few more to have handy for gifts. Highly recommend!.

My husband is legally blind. He also smokes a pipe. He is banished to the porch when he smokes, not allowed to smoke in the house. He doesn’t want a big light out there so I thought I would give this hat a try.

Well, he loves it! Despite his limited vision, he can see what he is doing with no problem. If he goes outside after dark, for any reason, he has decent light. For inside use, the bright light helps him see what he is doing.

I just ordered a second one in another color “just in case” since they are on clearance. and I may not be able to get another in the future. Amazon has replacement batteries very cheap. Amazon doesn’t rate the Panther Vision batteries very high so I bought Sony.

I have NOT had to replace the batteries yet so I don’t know how difficult it is to do. The company website has other products similar to this hat so I bookmarked it for future reference.

This is my third Panther Vision Cap. I have the pink, my son has the black and now I have received the olive color. Many times I take my dog out in the early morning when it is pitch dark or at night.

This cap lights the path for us and also makes attaching & detaching the leash from her collar so much easier – no more fumbling with my cell phone for light. Being hands free when I’m walking her is essential.

This is one of the best gifts I have ever received due to how often I use mine. We had a bad storm and were without power and our caps came in so handy for us. If you have ever tripped a breaker and had to access the breaker box in the dark, you’ll appreciate having your hands free and your view lit up for you as you navigate a darkened part of your home.

THE FACT I like beanies; I like the look of beanies, and I like the feel of beanies. THE DILEMMA I do not like synthetic fibers. I do not like that every beanie on the market, at least in the style I like, is made with synthetic fibers.

THE SOLUTION Headcovers Unlimited’s Men’s Relaxed Cotton Beanie. All-natural fiber, naturally dyed, soft, and pleasing to the eye. In all seriousness, I like this beanie, and would recommend it with one caveat.

I assume it is a consequence of using cotton, but this does not have the same, thick/plush weave that most beanies have, especially the ones made of polyester/acrylic. Anyone familiar with beanies knows what I’m talking about it.

It’s comfortable to wear, but it’s thin (though that may be because it was designed by a company specializing in headcovers for cancer patients). Nevertheless, for a cool autumn morning or a brisk evening out, I would expect this to keep most heads warm, but you know your head better than I.

All in all, so long as you don’t mind a thinner weave, this is a nice beanie, no matter your reason for buying.

very disappointed as your product / Mens’ Relaxed Cotton Beanie was very sheer and too tight (read: small) on my normal sized head. It is sooo very feminine and your “denim” color catalogue was more of a powder blue.

This is something young girls wear to the super market to cover their curlers before a glamour date. Really there’s nothing masculine about it. (If I wore this beanie to a bar here I’d get beat-up. and rightfully so) I would like to return this item but have been too busy.

Why can’t you make a more substantial & sincere “guy cap” instead of pushing this gender neutral marketing strategy on us men of true grit ?.

It’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect. I got the reddish-purple color (“Raisin”), and at first I thought it looked a little feminine (I’m a dude), but it really grew on me. I got this item for using at night in bed when it gets cold, and it serves its purpose well.

Warm but not too warm. My only qualm is that the tag says to hand wash, not machine wash. I wish this had been mentioned in the item description. I must also say thanks to Headcovers for the little bonuses included (a fridge magnet with a nice quote, and a little ribbon).

This hat is a comfortable fit, looks good, and the quality seems fairly good. However, I would have preferred a more lightly dark Tan color. Dust and dirt show very easily in this color.

I purchased this hat 3 times. One for myself and 2 in the past that I gifted (they love and wear them alot) It’s very comfortable, great quality material, light and dries fast if wet. The longer back brim protects your neck from the sun, and the adjustable cord makes it a great hat for those windy days or boating.

It packs well flat, but still takes up some space as the brim is on the more rigid side. I personally don’t mind it as it holds its shape. But if your looking for a more compact hat you can scrunch up and put in a little backpack, this isnt it.

Great purchase! I’ve had many sun hats, but this model by Outdoor Research is the one I’m most happy about and would recommend.

The side vents are exposed to sunlight because there is no overlap, so there is a gap in protection. I have very thin hair and wished they would have overlapped the side vents as they do with the front and rear vents.

I might have to stitch a little bit of cloth to cover the gap. My head circumference is 60cm (23. 6″) and the XL (24″) is too short from front to back because it’s not oval enough, so I get a lot of pressure on my forehead and the back of my head, while there are slight gaps to the sides of my head.

I can still wear it if I try to ignore the pressure, and because of the tight fit, the hat will not lift off even in extreme winds, making the chin strap and drawstring unneeded. If the brim were a little more flexible, I guess the hat may have conformed better to the ovality of my head, but unfortunately it’s stiff and does not.

The top of the head has a lot of extra space, maybe for the air to flow through the front and back vents, but this causes me to have to pull the hat way down until they touch the back of the ears. I wear Oakley style prescription eyeglasses where the temples extend backwards past the ears, so the hat will hit the tips of the temple.

I have to tilt the hat forward in a certain way to prevent this. The rear brim might contact a tall backpack, so I may turn the hat backwards, like other reviewers did.

I’m working on my third and fourth Helios hats. They last about 18 months of seeing daily wear in both rainy season and dry season. I’m outdoors quite a lot. The rainy season is still hot so when the hat leaks in a rain storm it doesn’t really matter.

If I’m outside, everything gets soaked! However, keeping the sun off my head and neck in the dry season is necessary. The colors will fade some, lighter colors less in my experience, but to me that just is like everything else I wear.

The sizes can vary a bit from hat to hat as I get the same size each time. The hats do seem to stretch out enough and fit until washed or rained on, when the shrink a tiny bit while drying out. I like the light weight and comfort the hats provide.

The brim is ‘wide enough but not too wide’ to provide coverage and not be somrero sized or flop down into your face.

The construction is good but the hat is VERY small. My husband wears it in the last three hooks where other hats he wears almost completely overlapped.

Well made straw trilby holds up very well, nice shape and look, this is the best example of this sort of hat that I have seen.

Loving this hat! The patterns doesn’t read as mushrooms QUITE as much as I’d like but it looks great anyway. The hat is shallow enough for my tiny head while still looking ok on people with more normal head sizes.

Stitching is strong and the fabric is great quality. A well-made and great-looking hat! Can’t wait to buy more.

A true 5-panel hat. The front panel above the bill is reinforced to reduce warping and the nylon strap is firm and doesn’t slip. Something to keep in mind is that the nylon strap does not tuck in to the hat.

This isn’t a problem unless your head is a smaller fit, but average sizes or large shouldn’t worry.

Coming from across the country I was a little skeptical on the deliver time. But, it was delivered pretty fast. It came in a nice box with good packaging. The hat is in good condition and made very well.

This is a great quality hat, very comfortable. The reason for 3 stars, the one I fell in love with but would not buy in the Bass Pro store was a true Outback style hat, not Western. Western (cowboy) hats have a very different shape to the brim, turned up on the sides.

My wife ordered one online to surprise me for Christmas. I was so disappointed, it’s a cowboy hat. Didn’t want to hurt her feelings so I said nothing and put it on the closet shelf where it remains.

I bought this “RedHead” brand hat to replace a “Cabelas” brand hat that was stolen. The “Cabelas” brand is no longer available. The wool felt in this “RedHead hat seems thinner and of lesser quality.

Both hats were Charcoal color but the “RedHead” is much darker, almost black. The crown is shaped differently since the top of my head rubs in this hat where it did not with the “Cabelas” hat. This hat also seems to be more “Cowboy” shaped than my other hat.

(But that’s just a matter of personal preference).

I have been wearing this hat for the last two second years. It has held its shape and wears very well. It is unfortunate that it is not available in black in medium or large. I keep checking the WEB site in the hope that it will become available.

This is my second hat of this style. Perfect blend of form, fit, and function. Super comfortable. Goes with pretty much everything and holds up well to heavy wear.

My husband has the same black cap, he adores that cap. He bought it 2 years ago and it’s getting old, fading from the sweat.
