Purchased the original One Tigris Vest in a large after measuring my dog as directed. As always with Chewy, it arrived very quickly. But we were so disappointed when we tried it on our dog. It was just huge on her.
Chewy refunded us and I ordered a medium. Although the medium was a slightly better, it was still baggy, bulky and very loose even with all the straps cinched and pulled as tight as they go. The harness itself is very nice and super easy to put on our dogs. It looks just like the photo. If you get the correct size harness, the bungee cord on the back is a great feature to get a perfect fit.
HOWEVER, we meticulously measured our two dogs (twice for accuracy). According to the chart, both dogs would take a size Large. The harnesses arrived and they were HUGE and no amount of tightening the straps and bungee cord on the top helped.

Bought 3! His throat issues are now gone and trachea collapse symptoms healing. I think his previous collar was causing it. So happy to have found this one. There’s no collar better. I can’t believe people use the other collars that pull on the throat.
That’s horrible. This Fits great. And I love the criss cross in front. That’s so helpful. And what I like the most is that this is designed to rotate a couple inches at the attachment when he moves so it gives him a little flexibility without choking him.

I bought this in a medium a week ago and I’ve used it around 2-3 times already. I have a maltipoo and she has a tendency to pull and try to go faster/farther and it would cause her to choke in her previous harness.
However, not a single time since I’ve started using this has she choked/gagged. The sizing is a bit off for her though, since a small is too tight but a medium is too loose (but the medium isn’t loose enough for it to be unsafe/falling).
This harness is true to its name and is so helpful for dogs that try pulling and end up choking. It’s also super softer than her old one. I also bought a small for my yorkie and I think she loves it! Normally she hates harnesses but this one she doesn’t seem to mind! I feel like it makes her more comfortable when she’s walking as her previous ones weren’t the most softest like this.
It is a bit pricey for me, but I was able to get it on sale! Choke-free, soft and comfortable!.
These have been my go-to harnesses for at least a decade on all my small- to medium-sized dogs. They’re easy to get on and off, are very light weight and non-intrusive, and easy to wash. I have a 25 lb frenchie. I purchased this harness as a trainer to eventually be replaced with her traditional harness. I bought the medium size and I have it adjusted to the smallest size around her waist and about 3/4 to the smallest size around her neck.
Normally on a traditional harness, she pulls like an Alabama Crimson Tide Linebacker. Today wearing the “FRISCO” for the first time, she pranced right next to me like a Budwiezer Clydesdale and I was grinning from ear to ear with joy.
This was the first true enjoyable walk we’ve had, although it was short(due to the heat) she seemed to be much happier. I cannot comment on the longevity of the Frisco harness, but I feel I already got my monies worth shearly from the enjoyment of being able to controlably walk my baby without her pulling my arms out of the sockets.

Our dog is Min Pin, Dachshund, Rat Terrier mix. She has a long fragile neck. This is the only harness that will not choke her or put harmful pressure on her neck. We tried 5 different brands and designs.

I bought a Hamilton harness for my Shih Tzu over 10 years ago and eventually used it on my second, smaller Shih Tzu when the first pup outgrew it. I went through many inferior harnesses that kept falling apart, falling off, were flimsy, and a waste of money because I wasn’t able to find the exact same design locally in the stores any more.
I paid a premium price for it 10 years ago so I was willing to pay again if I could only find the same one again! Finally it dawned on me one day to look up the name ONLINE and that is when I found them again at PetGuys.
com! I am beyond thrilled to finally find this harness again and it is EXACTLY the same perfect design as the one I got 10 years ago! Not only that but the price was so much more reasonable at PetGuys that I ended up paying about half as much as I actually paid for the first one 10 years ago locally! They come in a bunch of different colors, they are made to last, sewn at the top so they don’t move around where the shouldn’t, they are sturdy and made of premium materials that can take cleaning after cleaning in the washing machine, they stay put and won’t come off until you take them off, they are fully adjustable so you can tighten and loosen them to fit just right.
By the way, that one I got 10 years ago is still usable but after chewing on it for 2 years the material is starting to wear so I ordered two new ones for the dogs. Now both of them have a brand new, perfect Hamilton harness! The BEST!!!.

After shoulder surgery – my 70 lb rescue dog Mia was causing pain. But THIS little device – wish I had found it when I first adopted Mia. The ‘step in’ type harnesses chafe her, and she can lunge. She is heeling better! A few more weeks and she’ll walk on leash like a champ!.
Leash training is very important for you and your dog. The loose lead effort is still ongoing for me but there are times when I just want my puppy to be able to sniff around and do her business without choking herself.
Collars don’t always stay in place on a young dog with a slendor neck. so when not actually training, this harness is fantastic to keep a little control and yet give her some freedom, especially on a flexi lead which of course I only use in open green spaces away from other dog as they can cause serious injury.
We have 2 Tibetian spaniels for which we purchased these harnesses. Tibbies as they are known are hard to fit but these worked beautifully. We didn’t know how great they were until we literally wore them out after 15 years of daily use.

I would not recommend this harness for pullers, though, your pet will not be safe and can easily come out of the harness if they pull hard enough nor did nothing with pulling.
I used a different training method to stop his pulling. This harness will work well with dogs who do not pull. I choose the bright red color to match his outdoor jacket which is appealing against his tri-colored coat.
I bought this for my 3 1/2-year-old Staffordshire terrier mix. She is very stout and strong as heck and gets way too excited for every outing. We have been using the easy walk but as she has bulked up over the years it was irritating her in the “armpit” area.
This is a very well-made harness. It appears extremely sturdy, easy to put on and seems to be comfortable. My only concern is that it does absolutely nothing to reduce the pulling. Because the leash attachment is on the back between my dog shoulder blades it does nothing to deter her.
After we’ve been walking for about 20 to 30 minutes she mellows out and we have a very nice time but until then it’s a bit of a battle. So I’m torn between my comfort and hers. Right now her comfort is winning and I am still on the hunt for a harness that is both comfortable and effective.

This harness fit our dog perfectly, is easy to put on correctly (some harnesses are like puzzles to put on), and the front connector ring design is genius! It always sticks out a bit, which makes snapping a leash on surprisingly easier.
My only problem is that it is a “slip over the head” design, and when the neck straps are adjusted to the right tightness, it’s uncomfortable for my dog when I slide it on or pull it off. It’s so wonderful in every other way, though, I’m taking the time and trouble to add a buckle to the neck piece to make it perfect.
Description on the website is minimal and therefore it didn’t fit. The design appears sound, just no details on actual measurement. “Large” doesn’t mean anything in this context. Returned, that process was great.
This is a nice little harness for the price. I have a 40 lb mix that is very lean so I had to return the medium and get the small. The only issue I’ve had is getting a snug but not too tight fit. Even when it’s tight the chest pad moves to one side because she is still training and gets ahead of me.
It has been great for teaching her to heel and won’t harm her neck. I’m giving it 4 stars because it works well, front attach option is the way to go. However, it would be better if all 4 straps were adjustable for a better fit, and the nylon straps have caused chafing under my dog’s armpits.
So if your dog has short fur like mine, you may want to get a similar harness with padding on the straps.

Both my dog and I hate this harness. I had high expectations but now I wish I wouldn’t have wasted my money. No matter how many adjustments I make (which take a lot of time and patience) and no matter if it’s super tight, as soon as we start walking, the chest plate twists to the side and bumps against my dog’s leg.
I bought the M size based on the weight and measurements. I know that Small will be too small. I can only use it when I attach the leash to the back ring, but that doesn’t help at all with pulling. My dog ends up pulling much faster and harder than when he wears a cheap, regular harness.
I’ve had several harnesses from Kurgo in the past and we’ve loved them all. But the feature I’ve always appreciated the most was the clasp system – actual metal pieces that would slide together to lock rather than the usual plastic clips that most other brands use.
I needed a replacement harness and ordered this one, thinking after looking at the pictures that the clasps were the same as those I’ve had in the past. Unfortunately, it seems that Kurgo has discontinued all the harnesses with the old style clasps and now only uses the plastic variety.
I’m keeping the harness because it seems to be otherwise well made, but I am very disappointed and won’t be ordering any more harnesses from here unless the clasp system reverts to the old version.
My older dog has worn a Tru-Fit harness for several years now, and it has served us well. With my newer dog, I had a hard time figuring out the sizing because he seemed between a Medium and Large. I should’ve read the sizing guide a little more closely because I had to size up.
Kurgo’s customer service helped me with the problem and now both dogs happily wear their harnesses. They’re well made and the straps can be adjusted to fit comfortably. Neither dog pulls while being walked, so maybe that’s a consideration, but overall I’m very happy with the harness.

I would not have expected her to need an XX-Large/XXX-Large but she wears it now and will continue to use it as she grows. She is 8 months old and weighs 59 pounds. The harness is fully adjustable. It is made of a durable good quality material.
It is easy to put on and take off. It spot cleans well. I do, however, wish it was machine washable! It is multipurpose and very versatile with rings on the chest and underside for leash attachment. We have been more than satisfied with our purchase and highly recommend.
I have a 54 lb. Springer-Standard Poodle mix. She is not strangely shaped but, she does have a bit of a deep chest. I bought the XL and it was super tight around the girth. Bought an XL-XXL, the girth was fine but then the neck was too big.
Tightened up the neck all the way and it was hard to get it over her head (and still too big). When the the leash was clipped to the front and the dog pulled to one side the neck area bulged open. A bad look at that point.
Nicely made and well constructed, just can’t fit it to my dog. Very nice harness if you can fit it.
These are great harnesses. I bought one in X-Large for my 50 lb. Australian Cattle Dog and a large for my 23 lb. terrier mix. When I tried to put them on, they seem too big, but adjusting the straps and they fit both dogs perfectly.
Great quality, they should last several years. I would recommend them.
