20 Best Hardwood For Table Top (2023 Updated)

I ordered the brown color and I’m thrilled to say this table is BEAUTIFUL! Such a steal for a solid wood table. Super sturdy and took me less than 10 minutes to put together. The top is a beautiful finish that’s not too shiny.

Love it. Quality! I wish they would make larger dining tables. I didnt finish it but I like doing my own finishes because prefinished furniture alway looks so faked. I am planning to let it develop a patina and then scrub or wax as needed.

At this price what’s to lose. My only complaint is that most of this line is meant for smaller rooms. There should be a line of 72 inch dining tables and 28 inch bedside tables.

This table is gorgeous and much more than in pictures. You can see and feel the beautiful white finish. It’s also comfortable for sitting, in style! The design is brilliant and it’s perfect of my small newly renovated kitchen.

I’ve a small living room space so this size was amazing. Sits 4 comfortably and does feel more like a cafe instead of dining table size wise, but beggars can’t be choosers. Table is super heavy and great quality.

Save your money and buy real marble. We purchased this table and it took a month to truck across country only to discover it was cracked from top to bottom. LexMod customer service was rude and unhelpful initially, requiring me to spend time complaining to a couple more customer service reps.

and sending several emails; I was then granted a refund but told to dispose of a 212 lb. broken table myself, putting the burden on me. They shipped us another table and a month later when it arrived, the 3rd party shipper refused me to take a look at the table before they struggled to bring it inside.

Consequently that table was cracked even more and I was stuck once again with a broken, worthless table to dispose of, including the massive amounts of wooden packaging–a more than two-month process that was frustrating and a waste of time.

When we disposed of the table, it shattered and broke all over our dining room, emitting a chemical smell that seemed very toxic (research reveals that these tables contain formaldehyde). I will never buy from this company again and am planning on saving the extra money for a real marble table.

My tulip table arrived ahead of schedule and in perfect condition. The quality of the table is beautiful with its solid base and fiberglass top. Came in two boxes, in perfect shape. Very easy to assemble the top and base.

I love and appreciate how there is a felt covering on the base of the table to protect the flooring – brilliant! I am in love with my little 2-person dining setup. My table had a full sheet of felt that covered where the base meets the floor, not as shown on the website, with only the perimeter protected.

Putting this together takes immense strength and more than 15mins the instructions state. In addition to this, once we finally put it together, we find the table isn’t straight. We put a level on to make sure and yes, the stand isn’t level making the entire table skewed.

We just remodeled our kitchen, breakfast nook, and great room, which are all part of the same big area in our house. As a part of the renovation we also converted our formal dining room into a reading room.

Since our breakfast nook and island seating will be our only eating spaces I wanted to maximize the number of people we can seat. I also wanted our breakfast nook to have a fun, casual feel so we had an L-shaped banquette built in.

The Decker table sits in the middle of it. It easily accommodates 2 people on each side of the L, along with 3 separate chairs, gives me exactly the eating space I was looking for. I ordered the wood cleaner that Room and Board sells and spray and wipe after every meal to clean the wooden table top.

We also use placemats, coasters, and trivets to protect the surface. I ordered the gray wood finish and love the way it looks. It looks more like a gray stain rather than gray paint, allowing the wood grain to show.

I appreciated that there were so many combinations of colors and finishes on the base and the tabletop. In the photo I included, the wooden banquette seats are missing because we’re having cushions made.

#sweepstakes; This is a beautiful table! We especially like it that the table top attaches to the base. Room and Board offers several tables where the top merely rests on the base and that seems less desirable.

The base has cement fill in it which makes the table quite heavy but we are able to move it in our dining space as needed. The base of the table came with a caved in area. R & B said to keep the table and use as is while the new base is being shipped.

That is nice. After using the table for a day, we contemplated returning the top for the wider (and longer) size. Our table top is 37 inches wide with a base that is 22 inches wide (or close to that, don’t know exactly as I am writing this) and that does not allow sufficient foot space to be truly comfortable.

Ultimately we decided to keep it because it fit our space well and after a few days we got used to coping with placement of our feet. It would be awesome if the design team could make the base more narrow in width in the future.

It is a wonderfully beautiful and functional table, other than foot space concerns, and we are very happy to have it in our home.

I bought the 54 inch Decker table in spalted sugarberry and am quite happy with it. I am waiting on an exchange of the Afton chairs (for white oak) as I bought maple, and they have a bit of a pink tinge, which does not go with this table.

See photos. The bottom of the table is extremely heavy so there is no worry about tipping. There is no wobbling, but there is an adjustment tool enclosed, in case of uneven floors. This size table easily seats 6.

I have previously owned an Aria table, which I loved, but I didn’t like having to put my feet on the table structure. This Decker is great. Room & Board has been great, despite me making multiple changes in my order.

We LOVE this table! Incredibly pleased with the craftsmanship and stability. the quality is excellent, and the size is exactly as advertised. It fits our space perfectly.

I’ve been looking at the Nook Series at Lazy Boy for several months. I decided to place the order; the next day a Lazy Boy salesman called to say that they could not get the order I had just placed. I started searching the Internet.

I found the exact table and two bar stools at Coleman Furniture. A Coleman representative assured me they could get the table. It was delivered on July 15th. We are in the process of a kitchen update so we have not placed the table in the breakfast room yet, nor have we gotten to use it.

I feel certain we will be very pleased with our purchase.
