I bought the audio CD for a dear friend with macula degeneration (whom is all but blind) & she said how lovely it was, she said it it was a very profound & kindly story. It is encouraging and life affirming without being at all trite or over the top.

That’s right.

“The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse” was just sitting there quietly waiting for me to pick it up. As I journeyed through it touched my heart and made me smile. I’ve purchased quite a few copies for friends and they have loved it too.

I was given this book as a present last year when I was going through a hard time. At first glance you wonder why you would be given what looks like a child’s book. It is anything but. The conversation in the book between the characters is just profound and full of thought-provoking phrases.

At the end, you feel a sense of comfort and feel like you’ve had an ‘aha’ moment. Recently, a friend of mine was going through a really difficult family situation, and I didn’t know the right words to offer comfort.

I sent her this book.

The invisible string in my opinion is one of the best psychology books aimed at child anxiety for the child. You see a lot of children go through anxiety at one point or another and this normally presents itself in young children and children as separation anxiety all the fear of not knowing and therefore not wanting to be alone.

This can be overwhelming for the parent, and the parent can feel guilty that they have stuff that needs to be done, verses a child that wants your attention and will not do every day activities. for example go to school or play by themselves.

Parents often feel under equipped to deal with this level of distress they see in their child. Which is why this book is so important. It is simple and informative with clear wording and is easily followed by children.

The pictures are adorable and keeps even the busiest of kids focused on the message, which is even when you can’t see me or need to do something or go to school we are connected by an invisible string which is made of love and can’t be broken.

It can reach even all the way to the afterlife and space even to your bedroom or outside. Tho you may feel alone you never really are because I am with you. Yes it works my son who is ASD, ADHD lost his cat he died, ever since then he was afraid riddled with anxiety would not leave my side.

He had the worst anxiety I’ve seen in him. We read this book the next day he played outside for the first time in weeks, stoped calling out at night and turned all the lights out. he would remind him self that he was connected by the invisible string to Mama and Daddy.

So if you have a little one with anxiety I recommend this book read it often, remind them often and bring some peace back to your life. This was one of the best recommendations from my son’s therapist and I am happy to share this review so other families can find some peace and confidence.

A lovely story about attachment for young children (3-7 years old perhaps). It explains how attachments can exist despite any physical distance. My 5 year old loves this book and often talks about having invisible strings to certain people, and it’s a great way to understand who she feels attached to or love towards.

My only complaint about this book is it’s a little bit Americanised. but worth getting over that hurdle for such a gentle and sensitive message. Highly recommend!.

I was away with work and noticed my little boy struggling to articulate how he was feeling. I attempted to open dialogue but was terrible at it! This book is wonderful and we now use the concept of ‘invisible strings’ all the time.

It brings the level back to something a little brain can process and adapt to real life scenarios.

I loved this book when my mother read it to me as a child. It made me feel close to her and excited/ unafraid of getting bigger because I felt she would always be there for me like the mother in the book.

Those giving negative criticisms of the content probably never experienced this book as a child and therefore cannot put themselves in their children’s mindset while reading the book. Yes, if your mother climbed through your window to cradle you as an adult it would be exceedingly strange (not to mention difficult for her to pick up a grown adult) but from a child’s perspective it is comforting.

I did not grow up thinking my mother would stalk me in the future but did have extremely fond memories of her reading me this book. You shouldn’t take everything in children’s literature literally but instead try to imagine the deeper message it conveys to the developing mind.

I read this to my daughter and she enjoys it.

I saw all the rave reviews for this book and picked it up to buy for my son who had just had a baby boy. While I was standing in line, I started reading the book. I am SOOOOO glad I did! I couldn’t put it back fast enough! It totally made my skin crawl.

The whole thing is so creepy. The mom smother her little boy. When he grows up and marries ( no mention of the wife), the mother climbs through the son’s bedroom window and sings him a lullaby. The whole thing just reeked of inappropriateness.

I think it is VERY important for mothers to show lots of love for their sons. But this is just not how it is done. I told my son about it later and he said it made him want to throw up! There are so many lovely books out there today with beautiful illustrations.

Do not waste you money on this book!.

This is our favorite book. It presents a reassuring and uplifting message to children with a thoughtful rhyme scheme. This book is longer than most board books, but I started reading this to my 6-month-old, who is now 8 months and she sat through the entire book every time.

I have memorized this book, I have read it so many times. It’s so easy to remember the melodic rhymes. If you read it with a good cadence you should finish in 3-4 minutes. I basically sing this book to my baby anytime she gets fussy and she calms right down.

This book lead us to purchase other books by this author, but this is by far our favorite. “when god made light” is excellent as well.

When God Made You, by Matthew Paul Turner is a beautifully illustrated children’s book for ages 3 – 8. The colors and pictures will definitely keep a child’s interest. In a rhyming format, it tells the story of how God made you.

Quite honestly, I wish that I had this book when my children were young so I could have better encouraged their personalities, and helped them to realize that they are who they are because that is who God designed them to be; and no two people are the same.

Also, that God created them for a purpose. It presents a beautiful picture of so many parts of who we are: “An exclusive design, one God refined, you’re a perfectly crafted one of a kind. ‘Cause when God made you somehow God knew that the world needed someone exactly like you.

” “God pictured your nose and all ten of your toes. The sound of your voice? God had it composed. The lines on your hands, your hair, every strand, God knew every detail like it was all planned. ” In reading it the first time, I actually thought, “Wow, I never really thought of it quite this way”.

Although I really love the book, it is definitely one that an adult would have to read to the child and help to explain. Because of the rhyming pattern, you really have to think about some of what is being said and I feelit would be difficult for a young child to understand on their own, “‘Cause God loves you creating, your true self displaying, when light on the inside through art is portraying”.

It doesn’t happen often, but a few pages would definitely be over a child’s head. I would not discredit this book for those few instances though. The points being made are wonderful and I would definitely recommend this book for any young child’s shelf and what better way is there to spend time with a young child then to share a book with them – it is time well worth investing! I bought this book to give to my daughter for her high school graduation. As a teacher I’ve signed several books for parents who plan to get the child’s teacher each year to write a little note in it then present it to them when they graduate high school.

I personally missed out on the idea for my own children. When I picked up this book and began to read it I knew I had to get it for my daughter, the last one to graduate. It is such a sweet message to children about parents’ dreams for their children which in the end is just that they are happy and know they’re loved.

I purchased this book as a gift for a Christmas book exchange. I remembered reading or watching the story of Ferdinand as a kid. The price was right and shipping was free from the seller! Can’t get better than that.

Overall the story was what I remembered, a sweet little bull who loves peaceful days and “smelling the roses. ” The part I forgot about was the book describing in generalities some of the implements used to provoke bulls during bullfights.

I would say that most of the story is great for kids, but you may want to share this with older children. Nice thin paperback book, can’t be more than 20 pages. It was super popular with the adults (20-30yrs) at my Christmas party–I think we all were a bit nostalgic.

We love Ferdinand. This was a special story my husband and daughter have always read together since she has been a baby. We came across this adorable bundle and had to have it. We signed the inside cover for my daughter and dated it so she can have this book with her for many years to come.

Our original copy was paper back so I love having the hard cover copy and the plush is simply adorable!.

There’s no question that this children’s classic is beautifully written, so I’ll talk about our experience with and appreciation for it. We allowed our 2 1/2 yr old Great-granddaughter to open the mailing package and the box holding the book and bunny.

Both are a perfect size for her little hands. The hardboard book is going to hold up through countless reads, and the bunny fits right in the curve of her neck as we cuddle and read. This child rarely sits still and has a difficult time calming down to fall asleep, but the first time she climbed up in my lap to read Goodnight Moon, she was captivated by the calming words and pictures.

When we reached the end, she said, “Do it again. ” Gladly! Half way through our second reading, her breathing was deep and regular. she was asleep! Goodnight Moon is a peaceful little story that takes place in “the great green room,” which is filled with lovely details for young minds to enjoy seeing over and over.

Every time we begin the book, I read “Goodnight Moon, by Margaret Wise Brown. ” She’s a genius. she deserves the credit. HA!.

Brought it for the oldest granddaughter. She loves reading. Perfect books for her to read this summer. Good stories.

I bought these after seeing the film and I wasn’t disappointed. If you likes the film you will love these. The plot differs from the film but that doesn’take a difference to the enjoyment I got out of the first book.

As a trio the books are extremely well written and the characters are well rounded. You are rooting for them to complete their mission. The photographs dotted through the books just add to the charm and magic of the series.

If you like Harry Potter or the Percy Jackson books then you will enjoy these no matter how old you are.

I got this for a young man who was struggling with his reading. I tried all kinds of books to keep him interested and nothing kept his interest until this boxed set. He breezed through the first book and is aalmost finished the second.

Not only is he reading but he is retaining what he read. YAY! The set was delivered on time as promised which is rare these days. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

I am new to this book and was not sure what to expect. I usually don’t buy unfamiliar books online. I like to read them in a bookstore or check them out from the library. I have been so impressed with all my purchases from Bella Luna Toys I took a chance.

I am glad I did! The book has a quality binding. The illustrations are charming and the story is sweetly told. I am looking forward to reading this with my granddaughter when the first snow of the year falls.

I would like to see this book offered with a few dolls to enhance the play value… a felt snow fairy, snow queen and a red hooded peg doll.

Our child is two (with another due in one week) and we’ve been slowly building a collection of 25 winter and/or holiday themed books with the plan to wrap them in craft paper each year, put them in a basket numbered 1-25, and use as our Christmas Nativity Calendar year after year – reading one each night to the kids.

I ordered this book for my baby girl on the way. Though she isn’t here yet, I took the time to read this for myself and fell in love with it. This is such a sweet story with such a heart-warming message.

It touches my heart on an even deeper level, since she is our rainbow baby after suffering a difficult missed miscarriage last year. This story really really holds true for my husband and I. I can’t wait to hold her in my arms and to read this to her.

Children will enjoy the colorful illustrations featuring animals (mostly polar bears) in various situations. I recommend this book to any parent who is looking for an entertaining book with themes of assurance and love.

I bought all of the hardback SkippyjonJones books with a CD that Walmart sells! The books are awesome, and the author really gives you the hilarious Spanish accent English flavor of her books! We bought our first SkippyjonJones hardback with cd at my son’s kindergarten school book fair, and loved it so much that we needed MORE! He is now in the third grade, so we use them to help advance his reading.

He listens to the book and then reads it. He can re-listen to it, if he cannot sound out the words. They really help with independent reading, and with his Spanish accent for his Spanish class! Since, the second grade I have home schooled him with K-12 International, I really appreciate when he can independently work, so that I can get the next lesson ready!.

My granddaughter loved this book. She read it to me with an accent… Hilarious! Highly recommend this book for everyone, literally everyone.

It’s absolutely beautiful. We purchased this for my sons 6th birthday! He absolutely loves it and loves taking it church with him. I love the hardcover with the magnetic flap, I don’t have to worry about pages being bent, ripped, or damaged.

I love all the notes and stuff for the kids that it includes!.

The product description says that this is a hardcover, however I received a soft cover. I am thankful for their mistake, I prefer this one for my daughter just didn’t want to spend the extra $10 for a pink or purple colored soft cover.

This book is excellent as it invokes discussion with children. They can see what David is doing wrong and will tell you what he should do. Excellent for kids with disabilities that learn through pictures and cannot read or don’t have a huge vocabulary.

One of the books shows David’s bottom. The kids love it and giggle. Definitely a captured audience with books by David Shannon.

The David series from David Shannon are delightful for young and old. David may be the most mischievous little boy ever. And he always has that gleam in his eye. Highly recommend this dries along with Shannons other books.

My grandson can totally relate to David! He got such a kick out of this story, we’ve read this multiple times already! Excellent.

I’m giving it 4 stars because the title of the product was misleading, for me, saying that is was a hardcover. I was in a hurry and purchased it thinking that it was a hard cover with paper pages inside and not a board book.

But, when you are not in a hurry, you will see that the description (as I read after I had given the gift) says that it is a 6×6 board book. I love Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman’s illustrations. The book came in good condition and in a timely manner.

This really is a cute book. Christmas preparations, animal friends, and a heartwarming story, what’s not to love?! It’s a board book that I’d recommend for toddlers (it’s a little long for babies unless your baby likes longer books)!.

Got this book for my great-grandson, his Mom loves the book because it teaches children to be kind to others, to all people. Landon is 3 & books are his favorite nighttime routine. We like all of the books I have purchase for my great grandson.

This was a very simple introduction on kindness for children. I like the way it started by acknowledging that we like to get what we want and have our own way. Then it gave specific examples of children being kind.

This is such a great book for little readers. It has become one of our nightly reads. Its funny and easy to read for the little ones my Preschooler and Kindergartener both love it .

Goodnight Moon (1947)was recommended by a friend. It is a wonderful childrens book with fun artwork and bright colors. The pages are thick board and easy for small hands to turn. I purchased this for my three year old grand-daughter and we love reading it over and over again.

We also purchased Runaway Bunny(1942)by Margaret Wise Brown (my favorite). This amazing women wrote over 100 children’s books in her short life, we only have three, so far!.

I don’t know what it is about this book — perhaps it’s the rhythm, the colorful images, the soothing sounds of the words of the goodnight poem — but it mesmerizes my son. He melts into my arms each and every time we read it.

He loves it. Whenever we go to the library and he sees it, he grabs it and won’t let go. I check it out almost every time I go. (I’ve finally bought our own copy on eBay. ) The board book is best for chunky little toddler hands.

Goodnight Moon is essential for any child’s storybook collection.

I bought this book for my 17 month old niece. It was recommended in a child development book I was reading. It’s well designed for children’s development. My sister said it’s the best book ever. My niece now goes off to bed, happily saying “night night” to everyone.

I will probably buy this book again for friends, family etc.
