20 Best Handheld Shower Heads For Low Water Pressure (2023 Updated)

This is the best shower head I’ve owned. I’ve purchased many over the years, but this one really improves pressure and has the best settings, and super easy to install. I only purchased it because of the reviews, and they were right.

I even bought a friend one for her new apartment and she LOVES it! It’s worth the $20+ bucks!.

I ordered two of these One of the shower heads works great The 2nd one leaked where the hose connects to the shower head. We don’t know how to fix it. I need to replace it. Love the one that doesn’t leak! We have very low water pressure and the one that works feels like we have good pressure.

If I can get the defective one working or replaced I will give it 5 stars!.

I had high hopes for this showerhead. Install was obviously easy and straightforward. Upon the first time (and only) using it, my hopes were let down. When changing the spray patterns there was no “click” and the water would come out between the spray head the body indicating that this particular one wasn’t sealed correctly.

Also regarding the on/off switch: it’s best to have a dribble of water come out as that’s what will keep you from being hit by a blast of ice water or being scalded once you turn the flow back on. For this showerhead, off is OFF.

And once ya start the water flowing, the ice water cometh and that was a wrap. Maybe this was just a bad one. I dunno. I ended up returning mine and got a residential unit that works 10X better for $4.

Great product, good water pressure and variability.

It does what it says it will do! Actually increases the water pressure in your shower! I live in a very old house with associated old plumbing and am on a well. Water pressure is pitiful. If I turned the spray handle on my Waterpik handheld sprayer so the water sprayed up, it only went up about 2 inches.

It was next to impossible to rinse my body, much less my hair! Installed the YOO. MEE and wow! Pressure! Could actually feel it! And the installation was a snap! Easy, peasy! I am in love with this thing! First time I really enjoyed a shower and washing my hair in a long, long time! The only suggestion I would make is to make the piece that connects the hose to the pipe coming out of the wall in the shower a swivel, so it could be aimed up, down or to either side when the spray handle is in it.

This hand held shower head is everything they say it is. And the longer length hose is great. My water pressure was pretty low and I tried a few other hand held units and they didn’t change a thing. I was looking over shower units on the internet one day and came across this one.

I must say when I first came across it and read about it I was skeptical and did nothing for probably a week or so. I continued to get tired of no shower water pressure. I then decided to take a chance and placed my order for this YOO.

ME shower unit. even though I placed my order for this unit and even when it came I was still skeptical. And was so – – – until – – – I took my first shower using this thing. I was amazed to say the least!!! This thing is really great! It helped to make my shower water pressure at least 75%.

Hose is very long and very flexible, which is what I was looking for. Spray pattern is excellent, even with lower water pressure and volume. Installation was simple and instructions were adequate.

I bought this because it was supposed to be high pressure but my old shower head has more pressure than this new one.

A product that actual works. Our previous shower head gave little flow but this one is so much better and the filtration with the stones makes for very soft water. I’d recommend 100%.

Stone Stream has given us a strong and steady stream of water from our shower. It was really nothing more than a trickle before and such good value too!. So, no need to shower people with expensive presents at this time of year.

This shower head is absolutely amazing it breaks the water molecules that can pup and gives a fine but powerful spray and makes you feel very invigorated after. Great product Great buy.

Paid a few extra dollars to get a three setting, rather than two setting, shower head and have been left disappointed. The “third” setting, “powerspray + massage” is a sort-of halfway inexact adjustment between two extremes on the dial, and is mostly disappointing.

There’s no specific “click” to let you know it’s in that particular setting. It does install easily and I’m happy with the water pressure and volume. I could have gone with a less expensive shower head, this one is not worth the extra money for the “third” setting.

Was looking to replace my handheld shower head. Saw this one on sale. Was pleasantly surprised by the strength of the spray as the shower head that I was replacing had been advertised as water saving but had not delivered the spray strength of the old shower head that had come with the house.

It was such a surprise to hook it up and have it work SO well!! Where I live the water pressure is low. but the shower head makes it as if the water is full pressure. We love it! The only down fall is there’s only 2 settings.

Shower and massage. Not 3.

I’ve purchased 2 different types of WaterPik shower heads. They both work well but I chose this one. I love it because it saves money on water. All I need is to turn on the water with only low pressure.

Its powerful which is good. It’s really a preference on which one to get. The length is perfect for me. It reaches at all the right places. It’s so simple and easy to install. No tools needed. I highly recommend it.

I love this shower head! I was able to easily install it myself and the massage force feels wonderful when you’ve had a long day. It feels just like getting a good massage and with 3 settings everyone in the household can easily switch to what they want.

The nozzles haven’t clogged and I have hard water so that has been an issue with other shower heads we’ve had. The hose also doesn’t kink and is flexible enough that I can wash down the dog or the shower easily.

Even the dog enjoys the massaging pulse. And it’s just the right size. Not too long or short to handle which makes it comfortable to hold and fits back into the holder easily. The only thing I would like better in this product is if it was just a bit heavier.

-Water flow is not that great. -The ring to select the spray is not that clear, it doesn’t have like an arrow or a stop on each mode that clicks or something, you have to be turning it for a while very slowly to get it right.

-Shower head is too big and kind of heavy. -The hose is not that flexible. -The nuts are made of mere plastic. Too expensive for what it is, if I had known I would’ve ordered the one with only 4 sprays.

I love the different settings/sprays this shower head has. Super easy to install. After using this. Showers are much more relaxing and enjoyable because I can adjust the spray settings. I like the detachable sprayer so I can wash my hair easier.

The model YPW-839E/SPW-489MED hair wand pulse spa system is a combination fixed mount shower head and a hand shower attached to an 8 foot metal hose. Before the unit can be used, the old shower head has to be removed and the several parts of the new system assembled.

The quality of the parts is excellent. The instructions state that an adjustable wrench is needed for installation, but I found that using may bare hands was adequate. While the manufacturer states that the product installs in minutes, that may be a bit optimistic.

I took me about half an hour to remove the old shower head and instal the new unit. I never made a mistake during installation, but as a man age 78, I move a bit slower than when I was younger. I would estimate a younger individual could complete the installation in about 15 minutes.

Between the fixed shower head and the wand, there are a total of 12 functions most of which involve various combinations of massage. When I first used the unit, I had it set for a full body spray from the fixed shower head and the spray was so incredibly relaxing that I had no desire to test the other 11 functions, or for that matter, get out of the shower! After a long while, I did bring myself to test all the massage settings and each one felt good, but not as relaxing as the full body spray.

The online instruction manual gives advice for the benefits of each setting and includes videos for various health benefits (soothe muscle tension, increase flexibility, promote restful sleep, soothe and reduce foot pain and discomfort, relieve general stress, increase surface blood flow, and relieve joint discomfort).

Since I was fortunate not to have any of these problems, I cannot attest to the value of each setting, but I can say they all felt good. The company also sites clinical studies showing the value of each of the health settings, but all the studies except one were subjective, and the last one showed a measured increase in forearm blood flow with a hot water massage, but there was no control study to show the result of using hot water along without any massage function.

The box label says the shower head is registered with the FDA (Federal Drug Administration), but I have no idea what that means. It would be nice if it meant that the FDA has verified the efficacy of each massage function, but I doubt that is the case.

In conclusion, as I said in my title, this was the best shower head system I have ever used. The full body spray alone is worth the price of this very high quality unit, and if you are unfortunate enough to have any of the afflictions noted, the massage functions are icing on the cake.

It’s made of plastic, except for the hose and the brass fitting. The water pressure from the main head is not strong enough for my liking. The diverter will allow for either the shower head and the power comb to be used independently or combined.

I find the pressure on the power comb good on the highest setting with the water only going to it. The main head can be positioned where you like it but the ring to tighten it must be tight enough so that you can still change the settings with the switch on the outside ring.

I thought it would be a bit more substantial and not light and made of plastic. Overall it’s not horrible and it wasn’t super expensive.

Shower time has never been more relaxing. With working 50+ hrs a week as a Front end customer service specialist. Is hard work, lifting Tvs, microwaves and other big items has done a number on my back and legs.

This dual shower head has 12 spray patterns plus the shower wand is removable on a 8ft hose. The vibrations from the different patterns really loosened up my tense muscles. My favorite patten is the feeling of a back rub.

It really got into my muscles and the fact that this is FDA approved makes it more comforting by trusting it with my body.

I got this for my elderly mother since she was having trouble standing in the shower and needed to sit. but then couldn’t move out from under the shower spray to soap and couldn’t rinse very well. I searched high and low for a handheld shower head that allowed her to put the unit down without it spraying everywhere.

There are lots out there that have a shut off at the main head where the hose attaches to the plumbing high up on the wall, but this is the only one I found that had it where you NEED it. on the handheld.

Oh what a difference it makes! As an added bonus the strap on the handle is not in a fixed position so it can be moved to where it’s most comfortable for the user or removed completely. This was an unexpected, but very welcome, pleasure.

I also realized after I bought it that getting a plastic handheld shower head doesn’t mean cheaply made. but it sure does mean it’s lighter than the others and therefore easier for my mother to use. I don’t know if the hose will last as long as the reinforced metal ones, but I don’t care.

I’ll buy 20 of these if I have to! In a nutshell: It’s lighter, pause button on the handheld, movable/removable strap to help hold the unit, and 3 spray choices. An answer to my prayers.
