Due to an accident my ability to use my feet and legs are extremely limited. After much searching I found the pedal and dial combination. I’m so pleased with how little pressure the pedal requires. Impressed by thermostat control, hanger & control knob, attachments.

Shopped and this was by far the best unit for the money. Warranty a + for buyer on a limited budget. Recommend !!.

Based on reviews and recommendations I purchased this product. The steamer was cheaply made and took FOREVER to steam clothes. I’ve owned a steamer in the past and this one would not heat/steam enough to get wrinkles out of anything without some serious time.

The hanger attachment and clips were so flimsy I was really disappointed given the price. The only reason why I am giving it 2 stars is because it was easy to assemble, the boxing/shipping was secure, and the step lever to turn on and off was a great feature.

I gave it a solid 3 week-trial to see if I could get it to work out and then returned it. I purchased the Rowenta IS8440 Professional 1700 and am not regretting it!.

2020 purchase, Faster than ironing, love it. 2 design changes that would be helpful; 1) hose kinks and cuts off steam often right where coil ends. so extend – 2) It would be helpful if there were some type of possible elastic stabilizers on bottom to secure garment bc its difficult to pull shirts taunt to press- they otherwise sway back while your trying to steam.

I use near daily – very helpful.

Well priced and packaged very well! We got this for steaming our formal clothes. I’ve already steamed several suits and formal shirts. Water reservoir holds a lot for long periods of steaming. The steam is strong and consistent.

The steamer is just perfect for someone who hates ironing. It’s great to use on coats, jumpers and other sensitive fabrics too. Disinfects soft toys and soft furnishings too as sofa.

It did an excellent job of getting the wrinkles out of my dress slacks, jackets, skirts, dresses and my husband’s suits and even his dress shirts that I normally press with an iron. Best money spent in my humble opinion because it will save me money in the future from sending my articles to the cleaners so often just for them to:steam press” the wrinkles after wearing them once or twice.

I absolutely love my steamer. I found it very easy to use. The on and off feature is useful, not all steamers do not have one. It heats up quickly, it lasts long enough to remove wrinkles from a large men’s blazer before needing to refill it.

It took me a few tries to catch on that I needed to hold it directly against the fabric for maximum wrinkle removal. I find it to be a lot of fun to use, especially compared to an iron. It also helps eliminate odors in materials.

It only leaked once from the opening when l filled it past the max fill line, which I did by mistake, no big deal. I have already thought of several other ways I will be able to use it after my mom gives it back! I would absolutely recommend it.

The price was right as well.

This is a simple enough steamer – fill with water and then flip the switch. This is a horrible product and the makers are lucky I am not some crazy vindictive McDonald’s coffee customer. The steamer got boiling within 1 minute, I was able to steam for about another minute before it started sputtering and spraying – not steaming – boiling water all over the place.

onto the curtains, my hand, and the floor. When I went to turn it off, it exploded even more boiling water out of the nozzles, soaking my carpet. No, this is not user error. I followed all directions.

Don’t waste your time or your money.

Even after reading reviews I took my chances because it was so inexpensive, and I so wanted a better option for quick jobs that didn’t involve a schleping out the ironing board and iron. But i feel like I wasted $10 on this thing.

I guess you get what you pay for. Following instructions precisely, we basically got one use out of this. and that was questionable. It was not strong enough to get wrinkles out of a Polo type shirt.

When I decided to give it another shot months later on a very thin chambray fabric, it got the wrinkles out. sort of. but sputtered and spat gobs of boiling hot water all over the garment. When it cools off this thing is going in the garbage.

I feel like it’s a hazard and doesn’t work well enough to take up the little space it takes up.

Love my new Sunbeam Steamer. Love how easy it is to remove wrinkles from my family’s clothes. You can choose when you want to steam or continuous steaming by sliding the switch on the back of the steamer.

Incredible product – wow! My favorite feature by far is the built in water tank, which makes this steamer truly mobile but also not too heavy to handle. Despite how light it is, this steamer is super effective – I find that it can handle any type of fabric, especially my evening gowns and more delicate fabrics! I feel like I’ve just come back from the dry cleaner after just a few minutes of steaming at home! Great value at this pricepoint, I’ll probably never iron again! I wrote this review for a competition.

I must say it is great. I had a blazer that had so many wrinkles I didn’t think would come out unless done professionally. I ordered Sunbeam Power Steam , and every wrinkle came out , better than I expected.

Would give more than 5 stars if I could. Would recommend.

3’s a charm. First off brand steamer I purchased and returned because my arthritic hands could not open the water reservoir. Then I bought and return a Consir unit since I couldn’t set it down with no flat bottom and it was heavy.

Now I have this great Hamilton beach unit that is great. Not the biggest water reservoir but enough for 2 casual shirts and easily refilled. I’m happy.

On a whole pleased with this item, which I bought specially for travel abroad. However the item came fitted with a 2 pin plug and I live in the UK requiring a 3 pin plug, so I had to buy a plug adapter in order to try and test it.

Works perfectly, hate ironing, so this is a no brainer, can steam nearly anything in minutes and super quick to heat up and use. Long cable is brilliant.

I expected more based on the many 4/5 star reviews and the more expensive price. Not sure that I will keep it. I use for clothing, not drapes. My experience is: Well made; sturdy. had no issues filling water tank or working, But I read all the directions and followed them before using.

Long cord is a. It’s HEAVY! I have an arthritic hand and shoulder and this is cumbersome and tiring. Has to be held straight up to work properly so requires arms above shoulders for hanging garments.

May be a deal-breaker. Does not remove wrinkles well in natural fabrics (cotton & linen). Works best on on high steam and depletes most of water in tank must be refilled often for multiple garments. Overall, works about as well as my steam iron and takes about the same time to do an entire garment if details matter.

The person that said this is good for travel. ??? NO WAY! Its 2lb 3 oz with the cord (I weighed it) and 12″L x 7″W. That’s a chunk of your suitcase capacity/weight.

I had the older model of this same steamer and loved it but after using very consistently for 6 years it stopped working. I got this same steamer since I knew I was satisfied with the older model. I see a lot of people saying it didn’t work right out of the box.

I can say that when I first purchased this newer model, it worked the first day but the next day wouldn’t produce steam. After re-reading the user guide, I realized that this newer model calls for distilled water only.

I returned it for a replacement and have only used distilled water and it has worked fine ever since. I’m not sure if it was a coincidence or defective, or if this somehow made a difference, but I’ve been happy with it ever since.

I still recommend it.

First I need to indicate that I purchased this same model at Kohls and I wanted to submit a review on the item but the item is not longer shown on Kohls website. I will return this item to Kohls because of the following issues: 1) It was too heavy to hold for a continued period of time.

2) To fill the water reservoir, one can hold the opening under the faucet BUT the user manual states to use filtered water. So, I used a turkey baster to fill with filtered water and finally found a very small funnel with a very narrow spout to fill the reservoir.

3) One must hold the steamer at the how end of the handle because if one holds the handle close to the neck, the backflow of the steam from the garment will burn the hand.

I didn’t expect much from this steamer at first because it was such a good price! But this steamer works like a charm! I plug it in, then go get my piece of clothing. By the time I get back, the steamer is ready! It works first time instead of going over the garment several times.

I bought this steamer for my son who sees patients all day long. He needs to look professional and cannot get over the hassle of dry cleaning. He has texted me multiple times to thank me for this steamer.

He is not an effusive person so it must be wonderful. He said it is easy to use, fast, gets the job done and he loves it. I am buying a second one for his younger brother after hearing how well it works.

He also needs to look professional for his job. Such an easy solution for the birthday present dilemma! Maybe I will treat myself to one!.

I don’t think it’s a great steam cleaner. At times it does the job. I would not trust it with precious clothes. Sometimes I have big spots of water in one spot. It just all comes out. The hanger is almost useless, clothes fall off all the time.

In addition the hanger is not wide enough. There is no other place to attach clothes or items. I used chip clips. It’s just not a great steam cleaner.

I rarely write reviews, but I just had to add my two cents about this wonderful little steamer. I am a jewelry artisan, selling my pieces at around 20 festivals per year, and booth presentation is important.

My display is all white, with heavy poly tablecloths as my base. It seems no matter how much I iron the tablecloths prior to a show, they are ALWAYS wrinkled by the time I get to a show to set up them, so I had a big important show last month and did NOT want wrinkles, so I bought this steamer, and it easily took them out.

I found it worked best by pulling the material while steaming it. So now this little steamer stays with my other booth supplies forever!.

I bought this to replace one that constantly leaked water all over my garments when is used it. This one doesn’t do that and hasn’t leaked once. It does a great job but I’ve only used it with the garment hanging on a hanger.

It really does a good job even on my cotton shirts. It doesn’t leave stains like my previous one did. I haven’t had it real long but so far I would highly recommend it! I will use it often since I wear casual work attire five days a week and don’t like wrinkles.

Update 1/4/2017: I lost my top portion on a business trip and I’ve come to count on this product every time I travel. PurSteam customer support took care of me immediately and I have to say the service was top notch.

It’s just another reason I wholeheartedly recommend this product. This is well worth the money. As soon as I get to the hotel room, I pull out my clothes to hang up on business trips but inevitably no matter how well it’s packed there are still wrinkles or folds that show up.

PurSteam takes care of it. It heats up quickly and works perfectly. If it’s a new shirt some of those folds will take a few runs of steam but overall it’s a winner! I recommend this to any business traveler in the world.

This is my first steamer. I desperately needed something for when I travel that was better than an iron. This steamer is excellent. It packs well and works just as well as I’d hoped. My garments have all been wrinkle less and undamaged regardless of how delicate or tricky the material.

I’ve been moving around constantly for the past 5 years due to school so having a portable steamer is a must for me. This is a SOLID steamer so Don’t under estimate the size of this bad boy! It does what it’s supposed to do without any problems.

10/10 would recommend to anyone.

I bought this to unwrinkle a bunch of clothes after moving. This is very easy to use and does quite a good job getting wrinkles out. It doesn’t get all of the fine little ones, but it’s works very well for bigger wrinkles.

I’ve never personally ironed before so this was a first, but it was very easy to use!.

Really like this product. I steamed a patio door polyester sheer curtain 110″ W x 84″ H. Large steam plate really helped. Job when quickly, steamer did a good job producing plenty of hot steam. Very easy to use, good instructions.

Water cup holds 2 cups of water, filled it up 3 times. The unit is kind of heavy when filled with water, but I switched hands and was able to move along OK. I’m a senior citizen.

I purchased this steamer a year ago from CT on sale, reputable brand, great price. However within a few months of general use it crapped out on me. Spectrum Brands provided a replacement unit about 6 months ago.

This new unit is now defective too. The unit will not heat up and instead of steam it just dribbles out water. I just got off the phone with Spectrum again and the rep told me the new unit takes the old units purchase date so it’s no longer in warranty even though I’ve only had the new device for a few months.

Things are built to last these days, but two units in a year is sad. Spend your money on another brand.

I have always wanted a handheld steamer after I saw “Say Yes to the Dress” when they would steam the dresses on the hanger to get the wrinkles out. I also wanted a handheld steamer when I saw this done to my own wedding dress! I just thought it was so cool to steam the wrinkles out of garments without the use of an ironing board.

The Black and Decker Advanced Handheld Steamer did not disappointed me! It has 1400 watts of steam power! I love the convenience of being able to steam my garments, curtains, upholstery, and my delicates.

With this handheld steamer, it includes 3 attachment frames (lint remover, delicate fabrics, and upholstery fabrics). I had no problem steaming my blouses, dresses,skirts, and jeans. It really does get out those hard wrinkles especially on jeans! I just used the steam burst trigger and wrinkles were gone! The cord on this handheld steamer is 15 ft long, power indicator light so you know when it is on, auto shutoff so you do not have to worry about forgetting to turn it off, fast heat up time (less than a minute), a continuous steam switch so that if you want to use steam continuously you have a switch for that, a steam burst trigger for that extra burst of steam, and a removable water tank so that you can refill as needed.

I also feel like with using this handheld steamer, the fabric of my clothes are softer. You can also travel with this handheld steamer so that you are able to have wrinkle-free clothes!.

First, I have to admit that this was my first time using a steamer. Traditionally, I only use an iron at hone or take my clothes to a dry cleaner, but I felt this would be worth a try. What I like about it: it doesn’t take any effort at all to set it up.

Deploy the telescoping pole, fill the water reservoir (only needs done every few uses) and plug it in. It heats up fast. Less than a minute, it was producing steam. The brush is simple and the bristles are just the right softness, although you barely have to touch the brush to the clothes to get the wrinkles out.

The only negatives I can see are fairly nitpicky. First, the steam is obviously very hot. of course it is, it is steam, but I wish there was a little more safety warnings or stickers on the device to remind you or any children nearby during use.

Secondly, the device has nice small caster wheels on the bottom for rolling it around, but it has no notches or guides for winding the power cord while Not in use. This seems like it should have been integrated somehow.

Both of these complaints are minor, and the device is overall a solid performing steamer. I was not expecting it to hear up so fast and work so well. I do not think I will ever go back to an iron after using this, and that is about the highest praise I think a steamer could ask for.

I am the first to admit I will wear my clothes wrinkled before I would iron them. This steamer has changed everything. It “heats” up very fast and takes no time to steam out my clothes. I am even comfortable using it on my more delicate non iron clothes.

My little brother graduated high school recently and his gown was a mess from the bag it came in. In less than 10 minutes this steamer had it looking professionally pressed. The water tank holds a decent amount of water to get several jobs done without refilling.

I also like that the hook to hold hangers and the option to increase or decrease the height depending on the garment. I am very happy with this product.

So this steamer works amazing on multiple items! I used it on my nice dress shirt with ease and within a couple of minutes all the wrinkles where gone! These things are pretty handing to have around if you wanna get those pesky wrinkles out. I know i need it because my boyfriend always waits until the last minute to find his dress clothes for our fancy events and they’re always conveniently wrinkly but this is the day saver.

I love my Rowenta X-Cell Steam Force! Out of the box I filled the removeable water tank and in a few quick seconds it was ready to go. I have now used it on my clothing, 2 pair of curtains and I also steamed the couch in our family room – which refreshed the cushions and smoothed out the fabric.

I also steamed my wool coat, using the fabric brush attachment and it fluffed up the wool and made the coat look new. For a small handheld steamer, the 1875 watts of power and the optional turbo steam mode rival any large garment steamer.

My only wish is that the water tank held a bit more water as I find I have to keep refilling it when doing big jobs (like a set of curtains). Overall I am very happy with this Rowenta product and give it 5 stars.

I love my new Rowenta X-cel steam force, hand-held iron! I hate when my clothes have wrinkles, but let’s face it, who has time to get the old ironing board and iron out, everytime it’s needed! This iron has been a “game changer” for me! It heats up very quickly (within 30 seconds) and takes less than a minute to get all of the wrinkles out of an outfit.

At first I was worried it was going to leave my clothes feeling damp because of the steam, but they feel completely dry after using this iron. It also works great at getting wrinkles out of curtains, bedding, couches, etc.

and the heat/steam, also kill germs. The water tank is very easy to refill (unlike traditional irons. ) If you’re “on the fence” about buying this, just go for it, it’s 100% worth it!.

The steam force iron is useful. I love changing curtains with the seasons but I don’t love ironing them. I used this right away to steam my new curtains. It took only a few minutes to steam but it wasn’t strong enough to get out all of the fold lines.

It’s great to touch up my work clothes though. It’s not heavy when full and it’s pretty easy to use. It fine for tough up, it won’t replace my iron though. It holds enough water to get through a few garments but’s it’s difficult to see when the reservoir is empty.

I had the big floor steamer… this does just as good a job in a small held held model. So glad I decided on this. Added water- plugged it in and within a couple minutes it was ready to steam. Lightweight and easy to use! Highly recommend.

If your item has wrinkles, even year’s old set-in wrinkles, creases in nylon, or you have anything you would never consider a warm iron on – this device is what you need. A phenomenal device like the pros would use.

Great way to unwrinkle most of clothes to keep my “gotta-go” daily schedule. Do be careful when loosening the nozzle – the mouth is hot!

I really like this steamer, first one I’ve owned . Gets the wrinkles out pretty good and I like that it has a hanging rack. It’s light weight, but for the price I’m happy.

We went from a little handle push the button for steam, to this. We are very satisfied. Continuous steam and it gets wrinkles out very well.

I got this on sale and I have used the heck out of it. It is powerful and does a great job of getting wrinkles out of clothes. I like that it will fold down, although it is still kind of big when you go to store it, but not huge.

I like the telescoping pole and the clothes hanger and hanger hook a lot.

I don’t think I will ever iron again. It was easy to put together, which I expected. Worked great on smoothing the wrinkles in the new comforter, taking the wrinkles out of the bed skirt (I was dreading ironing that, all that fabric all over the place).

And clothes, a lighter fabric, was a breeze. the post that holds the garment wobbles a little. The post is high enough for me to steam ankle length dress. Maybe a little short for other as I am 5’2″ and it fits my clothes fine.

I read reviews about it lasting only a year but I got it on sale then 20% off so I will buy another if it dies. Hopefully using the distilled water will make it last, along with treating it well.

Set up was pretty easy. Steamer heats up fast and steamed about 3-5 garments before it needed to reboot which doesn’t take long. The stand doesn’t feel 100% secure but overall good product. I bought it on sale so I’m not too bummed about the stability but if I bought it full price I would be a little disappointed.

Although the stand is not super secure/ tight , the steamer still does it’s job and that’s what matters most. I’d score it an 8/10 and it’s better than the Conair brand steamer that’s more expensive and it also steams the clothes better than the conair brand.

Update Still LOVING this little hand steamer!! I have used it to get wrinkles out of clothes, curtains while still on the rods, bedskirt while still on the bed, to steam labels off of boxes, walpaper off of a cupboard, etc.

it has so many wonderful uses (only vertical of course) and works like a champ!! I call it my mighty machichine, lol. Use only distilled water and recommend cleaning each time, only takes seconds with a drop of dish soap on a wet bottle brush and rinse carefully do not immerse in water.

What a FANTASTIC little gadget!!! I have always wanted one of these as ironing is a dreadful chore. I couldnt wait to open and try it out! I ordered a bed in a bag set for my sons Christmas gift that was quite wrinkled.

I bought this to remove wrinkles from a king size comforter. It did not remove the wrinkles and left the fabric wet. Now I’m trying to return this and am not getting a response to my 2nd time asking for a return label.

I bought this to steam curtains fully understanding its meant for garments. It’s a very simple device, just fill the reservoir, flip the switch and let it heat up. The problem is that boiling water sputters out of the nozzles (it was not overfilled) for awhile.

Eventually it calmed down and I was able to use the steamer but by then a significant amount of water had sputtered out and was only able to steam a small portion of one curtain panel. Kinda disappointed with how much water was lost in the heat up phase but ultimately it will do its job.
