20 Best Hair Ties For Men (2023 Updated)

I’ve been growing my hair out and it’s naturally very thick. I decided I wanted to start putting it up in a bun and received a lot of compliments I might add. lolThe thinner, cheaper bands would just break whenever any pressure was put on it.

So I looked online and found a suggestion for these. I’m so happy I bought them. They’re sturdy and keep everything in place.

I didn’t think it could be possible to have a hair tie that actually holds my hair and stays there all day WITHOUT having to keep redoing it all day long. I put it up before I go to bed and it’s still mostly in the same spot when I wake up.

The best. I will keep buying these until the day I die. (If they ever break, so far so good. ).

A must have product for anyone with thick hair. Holds in place, tightly, without causing the heavy hair headache that normally comes with thick hair in a ponytail all day.

I love that there are sustainable options for hair ties! Unfortunately, I did not read the other reviews first and these hair ties are much too thick for my thin hair, so they did not work for me. For reference, these look about the same size as the larger thick hair bands you can get from the drug store.

They are not like the thinner smaller sizes. Hopefully this is helpful to someone. I loved the other items I purchased and I will definitely try other hair tie options!.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with these, but wanted to switch to a more sustainable option for hair ties; I have thick hair, and the Terra hair ties hold it just a snugly as my old go-to – if not even better! No slipping after all day use.

I’m very happy with how strong the natural rubber is, and how it doesn’t stick to my hair with the cotton around it. Will definitely be recommending these to others!.

These are excellent. 1. They stay in place on straight hair. 2. They don’t stretch out or lose their elasticity. (I’ve been using 2 since October and there is hardly a difference compared to the third I started using earlier this week.

) 3. They don’t pull your hair out. 4. Cats love them. 5. They’re biodegradable!.

I love these! They look great, and they hold securely without pulling or feeling overly tight. They last a very long time too! I’ve yet to have a single one break! Extended use will give them some permanent stretch after a while, and color might begin to fade slightly, but they’ll remain usable for over a year, possibly several with no sign of being ready to break.

I like wearing three ties at a time: a colored or patterned one in the middle, and black bordering it on each side for some extra pop and a stronger hold. The only minor downside is just that wide and flat ties like this take a little bit more effort than a round tie to put on in a way that keeps them laying flat.

It’s easy to get used to though, and easily manageable.

I keep these around when another longhair bro needs a tie. I’ve learned my lesson over the last couple years. The bros are falling in love with the ties, and they are mooching off of me! Like last week when Brandon and I went to this reggae concert on the beach.

I don’t know if it was all the pretty woman, or the strange smell in the air, but I didn’t notice how many times b-dawg asked me for a spare tie. I ended up giving him 2 Day Trippers, and one on my Yah Mons.

I love my Yah Mons. Anyway, from now on Brandon is getting the black ties. Not that they’re not totally awesome, but becase Brandon’s gonna have to start buying his own fancy ties.

I always like to give things time before I rate them, I have been using these hair ties for over a year now. I think I got my first pack September of last year. They rock. If you are on the fence, try them.

If you aren’t convinced, keep reading. I have had long hair for almost 10 years now, I almost always used headwear to keep the mane in check. I got a job where I couldn’t do that as much, so I had to start wearing my hair in ties or just wearing the mane down.

I discovered these after being frustrated with the normal hair ties and googling for an better solution. Normal hair ties hurt to wear, and only lasted 3 or 4 days for me before they loose too much of their grip, or max a week.

They would even occationally snap when installing them into my mane. In the year I have used thelonghairs, I have worn three or four out to the point of hairs not staying super well, all after 6+ weeks of daily use.

I usually lose them/or give them away before that. I have gone through 5 packs or 20 hair ties in the time I have used them. Again, most of those I lost or gave to long haired friends. I thought I would have gone through more given my experience with the regular 4mm hair ties.

So after a year, I don’t see myself going back. The fact that they don’t hurt was enough for me to start using these exclusively for my hair tie needs.

These elastic bands are great. They’re wide, soft and nice and stretchy. The shop allowed me to order a custom length and to not have them pre-knotted so I could knot them to my desired preference. Shipping was very fast.

I like that teleties are gentle on my hair. These colors were not as expected. I think you should identify the colors with a name to better guide the buyer as to what the color is. The top color is actually a light green and the bottom color is more of a purple.

I was expecting 3 shades of blue. I kept them because it was the only way I could get an aqua color one.

I love Teleties for my thick, curly hair, and the smaller sizes for my daughter’s not so thick curly hair. She loves them because they look cute as bracelets and they don’t yank on her hair when it gets tangled.

In fact, my only complaint is that my daughter is frequently stealing the Teleties that I buy for myself because they are so cute! :).

I love the colors of this mixed pack. Summer Vibes and they definitely are as described – they don’t budge! My hair didn’t have any kinks either. I’m shook! I will be buying more this time some for my daughter as well! Thank you Teleties!.

Goody brand no-metal hair ties have always been a go-to for me. I am constantly wearing my hair up (either completely in a ponytail or messy bun, or half up/half down), and I reach for these ties before others thanks to their hold and fun colors.

I enjoy having a variety of colors to choose from, and these allow me to be creative or just stay natural. There aren’t any special grippy bits to these, which helps keep my hair healthy and prevents it from being torn out! My only complaint is that they do stretch out/lose their elasticity over time (maybe a few weeks of constant wear), but losing one tie every few weeks is worth it.

I absolutely love this set of colors. I have thick curly hair and these hair ties have been a life saver. I usually don’t branch out with colors, I tend to stick to black hair ties having darker brown hair but this set is absolutely gorgeous.

Plus, my daughter’s name is Violet so when these dropped, they were a MUST. Totally recommend. I love all 3 of them. Beautiful.

Today was the Day, 12/31/2020, that I took my daughter on a little shopping trip of appreciation to a local Antique/Flea Market just to browse around and possibly instill in her an appreciation for history, heritage and things of the vintage variety.

My daughter and I love our Teleties! We have very thick wavy hair. It is so hard to find hair ties that will hold our hair. These have never failed us. I usually get the large for pony tails or buns.

My daughter uses the large and small for pony tails and French braids. We love all of the different colors. My daughter loves the Coke collection.

They hold my hair so great during work! Not to mention they are super cute and I can even just wear them as a bracelet! A lot of people ask me about them and where I got them! I love my Teleties! The small ones are perfect for me since I have a smaller wrist it’s not too bulky.

They haven’t pulled my hair or caused any pain at all like other ones do. I love that they are super affordable as well! I want each collection to match any outfit or mood I’m in. The leopard design is another one of my faves.

But mainly for the love of nudes is my top favorite due to it’s my go-to when I’m in a hurry. All in all, Teleties are a GREAT investment!.

So I really like the look of these and personally I would rather use these than regular elastics just because I find myself going through so many elastics. I think these are cute and they are functional, but they claim that they don’t snag.

and they do, and it hurts! I have pretty straight hair with little waves. When I put in a pony tail, i can feel where it is snagging on my hair and it gets very uncomfortable. I wanted to love these but in my opinion, they are pretty average.

It wasn’t what I thought I was buying. It would be very helpful if the diameter of the ties was stated. I wanted ones that are about half an inch larger. I like the small cord but larger ties. The one I had like the one described was perfect.

I used it so much it finally broke recently. Do you still make that size? Love the different colors and styles. I buy them for my daughters as well. It’s fun to wear them as bracelets too!!.

I received these today and was excited to put one of these in my hair after my last remaining hair tie broke and was desperate for a replacement. Unfortunately, I’ve been left disappointed. Look, they’re cute to look at, I guess.

In terms of practicality, they’re not the most supportive hair tie. Maybe if you have thinner, or less dense hair then these hair ties will be perfect for you. If you, like me, have thicker or denser hair, expect these to annoy you.

I can wrap one of these around my hair twice, with enough stretch left over to make it too loose to properly hold up my hair, but not enough give to wrap it around my hair again. May work to hold half my hair, but not all of it at once.

Maybe for going out with a half up do, but not for everyday use. I can also see these becoming even flimsier quite quickly. If I could return these, I would. Not for me unfortunately.

These are really good to quickly throw your hair up and do kink your hair less than normal hair ties. If you’re like me though and like wearing your hair ties on your wrist then these don’t really work.

From the first use they stretched out to nearly double size. Also probably niggly if you have fine hair as you’d have to wrap it around loads.

Such a cute towel! I love that even the button detail is adorable. I have naturally wavy hair, & it’s really frizzy. This towel seems to help that! I love that I can keep it on and do chores and it doesn’t come undone.

My hair takes all day to dry if I let it air dry, but this towel cuts the time down, which is awesome! Added bonus: I have neck pain and other towels are heavy and make things worse! This is so much better!.

These are perfect for thick hair!!! I couldn’t find a hair elastic that would keep my hair up while working out and this does just that! They are very comfortable and don’t pull on your hair or get stuck in it either!.

I love the variety in this set. The skeletons are small, of course, but they’re fun! The black one looks eerie because of the matte effect. It’s difficult to see the purple effect in the orange one. I would’ve loved to see a set with a purple, black, and orange one.

These are incredibly durable and work for thick and thin hair. The large ones are useless for me and most everyone I know. So I love the small size. Plus, the seasonal ones are always a personal favorite, as they make excellent gifts for my staff and friends.

I love my telleties- they’re all I use now. I have long thick hair and have to put it up tight for ballet classes and I take 2 smalls and wrap them around 3 times and they hold well. Normally, I use 2 smalls at a time and wrap them around twice.

The large are too loose for me, even with thick hair. Love all the colors and mixing them and they never pull or leave “the bump”. I can just them off, shake my hair and it’s beautiful.

I have very long and thick hair and obsessed with Zebras. I can’t say enough about this brand and their products. I’ve suffered with migraines since I was 8 (36 now) so I often have an ice pack on my head.

These allow me to put my hair up so it doesn’t get stuck in the velcro of my headache hats and doesn’t leave a crease in my hair!! I not only wear them in my hair but as bracelets as well! Thank you so much for this product.

These hair ties are super cute. I love anything that sparkles and these do just that. They look nice in my hair and on my wrist. They are gentle on my hair but I wouldn’t say they hold it up in a ponytail exceptionally well.

I have thick hair so I got the largest ties. I have to wrap the tie three times to hold up my hair and I could probably make it four since it isn’t overly secure. The ties stretch out tremendously so I put them in warm water to get their shape back almost every time I wear them- that is kind of a hassle.

Love love love these hair ties. I got more minimalistic colors, but the quality of the “minimalistic” of course has no comparison to any other hair tie I have tried. I have convinced all my friends to get them, and they all agree:).

My favorite part is all the cute colors and patterns they come in as well as being able to wear them as a bracelet. They’re my new obsession!!! I’m sure the mailman keeps wondering what’s in the gold envelopes.

The Large teleties are not the same product as the smalls. Don’t rely on their TEST. I have lots of long thick wavy hair and test told me to buy large. I recommend buying one set only of mixed small and large and see what you like because I have had 3 small teleties for a year or more that were a gift so I didn’t know the size.

I bought large because that’s what test suggested for my hair type and usage. I wear all the time in ponytail. Received the large took the label off my 2 sets and put one in my hair for a short period of time.

Took it out and it was already twisted and I couldn’t get it to go back circular. Put it around a water bottle for the night to make it circular again. Can’t get my money back because of their policy which I understand but for the first time don’t waste your money on more than one mixed set.

I now have 6 bracelets. Below is a picture of a year or more small and a new large. Don’t be scared when you receive smalls because they look slot smaller but I guarantee they’ll work with lots of thick hair.

I love these hair ties. My hair is very straight and most hair ties will end up sliding out of my hair. If they don’t slide out they break my hair. The teleties are amazing. They stay put and they don’t break my hair.

They would be GREAT if they had a small gator or gator head on the hair tie. My daughter has Clemson and it has tiger stripes and paw prints.

These can’t hold my hair up and are very bulky. I thought they would be better since the size below them were a little tight. The size difference between the two sizes is quite large

I like that these are comfortable on the wrist and easy to put in my hair because they’re so stretchy. Usually the most difficult part of making a ponytail is stretching a hair tie around my thick, wavy hair, but that is not the case with these.

They definitely hold my hair, they are a little snug and do pull on hair a little bit, but are still WAY better than some hair ties I’ve had, and they don’t deform my waves. Also, a person who tends to lose things or forget where I placed them, it’s valuable to me to have something large, distinctive, colored, and easy to carry on my wrist.

It’s way easier to find these lying around the house than normal hairties. They do seem to return to their natural shape after a few hours (I tried using warm water to speed it up but it didn’t do a whole lot), and are pretty resilient.

I’ve had them for a little less than a month, but I’m hoping they will last a long time. They are also great for working out (I do HIIT and it stays put), but I would recommend something gentler for nighttime wear.

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that it didn’t fulfill the promise of not tugging on hair, which my sensitive scalp isn’t super happy about, but it is still one of the best hair ties I’ve tried so far.

I will probably buy more at some point.

I love these!! I have thin long blonde hair. When we go riding, my helmet just kills my hair no matter how I fix it. I use the small ties to ponytail my hair back in layers. They hold in great & when I pull them out at the end of our long rides, they don’t hurt my hair.

Even with a motorcycle helmet on (full face helmet) I don’t feel them being in & it’s comfortable. I own a ton of colors now!!!.

I’ve tried many different kind of hair ties and these have become my favorite. I love that I never have to worry about them breaking on me like so many elastic hair ties have. Large is perfect for thick hair while small is better for thinner hair.
