Best Hair For Square Face (2024 Updated)

I received this hair dye to trial as part of the Beauty Review Crew. I have used this brand of hair dye a few times over the past couple years. In particular, I have used the shade ‘Darkest brown’ which is the same shade I’m trialing today.

The shade has always been is a lovely vibrant colour and the colour result is similar to my natural hair colour. The dye promises to 100% grey hair coverage and it lives up to its promise. Preparing the dye for application is nice and easy.

After applying the gloves that are included in the packaging, you pour the colour formula into the bottle of developer before placing the lid back on and shaking the bottle until completely mixed. It’s that easy! Then starting at the roots, you evenly apply the dye.

The dye goes on smoothly and, surprisingly, the dye scent isn’t as strong as other brands. Other brands tend to have a strong chemical smell which makes my eyes water and nose tingle when breathing it in.

Clairol have done a great job at producing a hair product with a low scent. One of the best things about Clairol’s nice n’ easy hair dyes is the short processing times. Unlike other brands that have a processing time of upwards to an hour to reach your desired shade, these dye have an average processing time of just 25 minutes.

The short processing time means you can dye your hair during your lunch break, before a night out, or before a date, without it taking up too much of your time. The rinsing process is also quite a smooth and easy process.

After applying some warm water, give your hear/head a little massage and then rinse until the water runs clear from all the dye. It normally takes around two minutes for the water to run clear. Then using the conditioning Clairol conditioning treatment that comes with the hair dye, you apply from roots to tips and leave for a couple minutes before rinsing.

The conditioning treatment has a lovely scent and is nice and thick. It’s almost like applying a luxurious hair mask. It glides onto the hair smoothly and evenly. After rinsing the conditioning treatment you can instantly feel how hydrated you hair feels.

Dying your hair often dehydrates it and your hair can feel a little worse for wear. Clairol’s hair dyes are gentle on your hair and the conditioning treatment prevents damage and keeps your hair hydrated and feeling lovely.

After towel-drying my hair, I blow-dried my hair until was dry. Looking in the mirror you could instantly see how vibrant and lovely the hair colour result was, and it looked and felt really healthy.

I am always so very impressed with the results every time and I often get compliments from friends and family members. As my hair grows fairly quickly, I use this product every 2-3 months to help cover grey hairs.

Despite dying my hair so regularly, my hair has remained healthy and manageable, and hasn’t compromised my hair in any way. The only downside I can mention is that the dye stains your skin. Normally hair spray or acetone on a cotton ball or cotton pad helps remove hair dyes from skin but I found this dye to be lot stronger and barely budged from the skin.

I also tried scrubbing with soap and dishwashing detergent but the dye only faded slightly. It took a few days of scubbing before the dye faded completely. The best thing of all about Clairol’s Nice n’ Easy hair dyes are they cost just $9 from your local supermarket.

Sometimes, you can grab them on special for just $6! SIX BUCKS! Now that’s what you call a bargain! Why pay $200+ t an expensive hairdresser when you can get almost the same results for just $9.

I received Medium Chestnut Brown as part of the review crew. My hair is dyed medium brown over grey/white and is a few inches below my collarbones. It’s fine and flat with a slight wave immediately after air drying but this falls out quickly, it’s also horribly frizzy.

I found the instructions easy to follow and the dye easy to use although I did find I’d missed some areas which is unusual for me. I was using this on about 1 inch of grey roots, apart from where I’d missed it covered it well although it’s lighter on those grey areas and the other areas are now darker.

This means my roots are still visible although not grey and it would be good if the colour guide also showed the outcome on grey or white hair. I don’t usually see the roots so evident with other home colour I’ve done.

However the colour on the roots is nice and I might keep using this to get all my hair to a lighter colour. I didn’t notice that the smell was better or worse than other brands I’ve used and I had no adverse reaction on my scalp.

I wasn’t able to see a blend of tones and highlights although I did like the colour on both the grey and dyed areas. My hair felt soft after using and easy to comb. After a few further washes I’ve not see much fade or loss of condition.

Overall this Is a good dye for home colouring with good grey coverage although I feel I need to be more attentive when I use it. It’s a good price too.

As the cost of everything rises I have gone down to bi-monthly hair visits and have been colouring my roots in between. I have stuck to two main brands the past year so I was excited to trial clairols Nice n Easy to see how it compares! The new packaging is pleasing and clear on what it delivers.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the scent wasn’t overbearing whilst I applied this to my roots. It mixed very well in the applicator bottle and was so easy to apply. The gloves fit well and I waited the appropriate time until rinsing off.

The colour rinsed off well and the conditioner was lovely. I decided to let my hair air dry for the best and most accurate review on colour, shine and coverage of greys. So the colour match was great, it definitely covered my grey roots and my hair was a little dry on the ends but nothing a good leave in conditioner can’t fix! I like that this dye did what it said and was not gimmicky or over priced compared to competitors.

A solid budget buy option if you prefer colouring hair at home. It may dry your hair out if used frequently so a good quality conditioner for coloured hair would be a must alongside this product.

I’ve been using this item now for a month-and-a-half and it has been working incredibly well. My hair started thinning about a year-and-a-half to two years ago. I’m also a proud Hessian (a. k. a. “metalhead”) and have had my proud, long, headbang-worthy hair for over 20 years.

The worst for many of us is if our hair starts thinning or balding. I came across SureThik by total accident on one of their ads and I thought I would take a chance. My organic shampoos and conditioners were good, but I was still losing some of my hair, which worried me.

Since I started using SureThik kerotin fibres, I noticed it makes a huge difference! They don’t come out or fall out easily, they’re sweat and water resistant and easily shampoo out in the shower and can be re-applied again when needed.

My only issues are that sometimes applying the powder can be awkward, messy and the spray applicators offered – which I also purchased – don’t always work or get clogged. Otherwise, SureThik is the REAL DEAL and I recommend it to any guys or girls out there who want to enhance the thickness and opaqueness of their hair.

This is my second shipment from SureThik, but probably on my 4th bottle. I normally order 2-3 different shades – Grey, Sandy Blonde, and Medium Brown – I have ashy blonde highlights but medium brown roots when the hair grows in.

I like having a combination of colours to blend. The texture is great, rarely clumps, easy to shake or disperse as needed. Looks very natural…even the next day! Other brands tend to look “clumpy” and looks like you have dandruff.

Surethik brand looks very natural. Highly recommend!.

For years I was using brown dry shampoo on my scalp. It didn’t stay on, on warm days. With age the top of my head was showing more and hair was coming in grey. Saw an ad on SURETHIK. Found it at Beauty Supply.

I won’t go one day without it. Then saw it on line and decided to order it because my Beauty Supply didn’t always have it in stock. I got grey and it’s been the only thing I use. Stays on pretty much till my next wash and doesn’t rub off on my bedding.

I don’t cake it on. Just enough to cover my shiny scalp. One container lasts me months. Thank you for this. It’s encouraged me to grow longer hair again which I get so many compliments on. A little shake will do ya!.

This is hands down, my favorite mousse for my curly hair days! Ive used many, many curl products and this is different from all the others. I have both fine and thin, wavy hair so I have to use products that will define my curls and add volume without weighing it down and looking “crunchy”.

This is it! I’m a stylist too so my hair has to look on point. Otherwise, clients might assume I’m not good at what I do (even though we have to work with what Gods given us). I only wash my hair about once a week and this stuff keeps my curls looking awesome for a few days.

When it’s time for a refresher, I’ll usually dampen my hair (not soak) with water, use some good leave in on my ends, and then apply a little more foxy curls and my style will bounce right back. I’ve noticed when I apply this (after my leave in) while my hair is still damp and then use my diffuser (not drying it completely) it gives me a TON of volume.

The scent is amazing!! (all bed head products have the best scent) One side note. if you do use this several times a week, it can dry your ends out. Technically, most mousses and hairspray do. Make sure to use a good conditioning mask at least once a month to help replace the moisture back into your hair.

I have tried this product in different ways – first to apply on wet hair and defuse dry as per instruction. I did not like results because it straightened my waves and hair looked dry and dull. I also tried it to apply on wet hair but left hair to dry naturally.

This way waves looked the best way, very defined and wavy hair, but it was impossible to brush through the hair and it caused much breakage and unhealthy looking hair. I also tried to apply on dry hair, this caused hair feel hard, but created some defined waves.

Also first week using this product and shaking it properly before each use it had nice foamy and thick mousse, and it wasn’t sticky however after one week no matter how properly I shook it came out very liquid texture and left hands and hair feel very sticky which is very disappointing.

I feel after using this product for about two weeks now my hair looks more damaged and unhealthy which is due to its ingredients which are not healthy for the hair. I would not recommend and would not repurchase unfortunately.

This is a weird mousse, very watery and difficult to distribute in hair. I have thin and fine 3a hair, this product made my curls stringy with no volume. I scrunch and diffuse. Gave it a try for a month, then threw it away.

It did nothing for my daughter’s fine curls either. Maybe it’s a good product for people with fine hair, but alot of it, when you don’t need volume? I really liked the ingredients, sad that it didn’t work for me.

I much prefer Redken Full Frame 07 or Cake The Curl Whip for my hair type.

I am one of those lucky ones (ahem. not. ) with fair skin, but nearly black hair. Of course this means my forearms (ugh and let’s face it, my upper lip too) have been the bane of my existence since I was in middle school and some girl that nobody much liked mentioned them, not once, but TWICE, while we were partnered for study time.

You know this is the kind of thing that scars a girl for life emotionally, especially at the tender pre-teen years. Enter my high school years, my license to drive, and my discovery of Sally’s Extra Strength Creme Bleach.

For the first time in my life I didn’t mind wearing short sleeves. I got my first boyfriend. Was this because of my nearly invisible and barely-noticeable-anymore arm hair? Who knows, but he did stick around for six more years and my arm hair never came up, so.

Anyway, my skin is super sensitive and most times the bleach mixture doesn’t bother me. Occasionally my arms burn a bit when using, so I just take it off and try again another day. Generally if I keep up with it I can go about 3-4 weeks between uses.

If I go too long I have to bleach my arms a couple times within a couple days to get the hair light enough. It does bleach my skin temporarily (like 15 minutes). Don’t put it on right after a hot shower, and use cold water to rinse the mixture away.

I always follow with a nice calming lotion.

Love you Sally Hansen, but this product is not good. I’ve been bleaching my body hair for years with the Gigi creme bleach. My Ulta was out this time so I got this one instead. It was a horrible experience.

It burned twice as bad as I know it should, and it even made my hair start to curl?? I’ve been an esthetician for years and I know how to properly perform this. I can honestly say it was bad product and not bad application.

It did lighten the hair, not to my satisfaction. Maybe it was about to expire. Maybe it was old. Idk. Wont buy again.

I have naturally black hair. My first time using it took 3 applications. Not unusual for me having black hair. Takes a couple of applications of hair dye when I want to lighten my hair. The first use didn’t take as well, but there was a difference.

So much so that I thought the 2nd application would do, but it said. Perhaps I didn’t mix the mixture properly because the 3rd time I ended up with a strawberry blonde mustache It’s ok, we’re wearing masks, lol.

However, my mustache did darken back up. Could be a result of no sun exposure, because of the masks. I didn’t let it get back to normal, but it was noticable. This time it took only one application, and the color was perfect.

I would recommend. I had barely any irritation. Helpful hint, use the pre conditioner afterwards for any irritation. Goes away immediately.

I used a sensitive texturizer kit and absolutely fell in love with the creme moisturizer. I immediately went online and ordered 4 bottles since they were on sale. Unfortunately I will be returning 3 of the bottles (I’ll keep the one I opened) as it isn’t the same product.

This isn’t a creme, it is more of a jelly consistency. The one in the kit is a white creme and left my hair feeling moisturized while this made my hair feel dry. I do not like this product at all. It does say “new and improved” on the bottle.

They should have kept the old formula or named this one something slightly different as it is misleading to have one product in a kit and something different in the bottles they sell with the same name.

I tried this one before and quickly dismissed it because I felt it was somewhat greasy but after trying it again and using it faithfully, I learned my hair LOVES Glycerin which is pretty high up on the ingredients list.

This is the only product that keeps my hair moisturized for a long time and really helps with manageability. The key is keeping in mind that a little goes a long way. Otherwise, you will experience product build up.

This is a great product for my hair now that I am wearing it natural. It keeps my hair soft and manageable. It doesn’t make my hair greasy and it strengthens the hair giving more fullness.

I’ve been wearing FoxyLocks for about 10 years. I love their extensions and I recommend them to everyone that compliments me on my hair. I normally just use my clip-ins when I’m looking for a fuller, longer, ponytail but I really wanted a quicker, less complicated option so I was super excited to try out the wrap ponytails.

When I received it everything was great; smooth and silky like always, perfect length, and the color is my current fave as far as blending with my hair. Unfortunately, I have tried every way imaginable to make this ponytail stay on my head and it just slides right out.

I’ve tried teasing, multiple hair ties, bobby pins, combinations of all of these, and it just doesn’t work for me. It’s heavy and pulls whichever hair tie I’m using to hold my hair up right out. The one time I did manage to anchor it to my head it was super uncomfortable.

Honestly I’ve tried to come up with ideas that would help it work for me (as far as how they could be manufactured differently) and I haven’t come up with anything. Maybe offering a lesser weight for those of us that have super fine silky hair? I normally buy the deluxe 18” or 20” inch clip-ins, and I’ve worn the superior 22” with no problems before so I didn’t think anything of the weight on the ponytail.

I’m so disappointed because I was truly looking forward to it.

Good quality and quantity extensions I think reusing the packaging for the extensions is not suitable. I tried to put my extensions back into the box once used and it was really difficult to fit them inside.

I travel a lot so the extensions come with me so the box would be useful, but since it cannot be re-closed I need to find another way to transport them. I also have difficulty once extensions are in my hair to maintain a high ponytail.

The ponytail is slippery. I do not use any other hair products except the clip in extensions and a couple of hair ties but the ponytail falls. I watched the video but I wear my ponytail higher up, however it is still slippery.

On the whole, I would say good quality and quantity of extensions and I appreciate the sample piece before open the main package.

I have fine, flat hair but alot of it. I purchased these for my wedding to provide more volume and length on the day. The colour match is perfect to my shade. My hair is darker underneath which you can see from the photo and it still belnds beautifully.

The seamless clips blend excellently with my fine hair. So often the clips can be seen on standard extension clips that it I worth paying the extra for the seamless ones! My hair also never holds curls well or heat tongs, it tends to go limp within a few hours.

That’s not the case with Foxylocks extensions inplace. I wrap them around a roller every few days if I wear them each day and without spray and in rain they stay in, even after brushing. They also don’t malt much either.

On the wedding day, both my hair and makeup professional wanted to know where I had gotten these extensions from – so they speak for themselves! They seem expensive on the face of it but if you long for longer/thicker hair or for me – Princess hair, these really will last! In the below pictures the extensions have been wrapped on rollers over night and I have chopstick curled my hair.

No hairspray and done within 15 minutes. They are fantastic!.

I love this hair I got it before and paid much more for it. This is the BEST quality of hair you can buy. Got it in such a timely manner, which I really appreciate. so much.

This isn’t the first time I’ve used Diamond Remi hair but I usually purchase the hair in store. I came across this site while browsing and definitely couldn’t beat the pricing for this hair. Now that it’s installed I can really tell the difference; the quality seems the same, but the length is off.

I’m not sure if I’ll purchase this hair from this site again.

simply put: This hair is good enough to use for two to three installations. Minimal shedding and no tangles. This is the hightest quality hair in this price range. I have tried several other brands, including XQ, and they do not compare.

If you are looking, this is the way to go.

The color looks very natural (where it is brown) and it is a nice hairpiece. I love HairDo so much that I bought a lot of different pieces. I love it.

the quality of the hair is perfect, my problem with the item is the way it wraps around and stays in place. the ponytail uses a velcro of which does not work well. In order for my ponytail to stay in place, i use multiple bobby pins and hair ties but that is not the way it is intended to stay on.

The pony tail is also heavy due to all the hair which is expected but that contributes to my fear of it falling out, especially that the velcro does not work.

Glad to be the first to review this great extension! I am wearing the 25B with the lilac dipped ends. It is so subtle yet everyone at my family party noticed and was impressed. Please note I am (50-ish) and it’s still very appropriate.

I wore it to the mall yesterday and had three people stop and ask who did my hair. FYI—trimmed about an inch and a half off the end so it isn’t quite so long. Love it and have ordered other colors!.

I own this in the Light Blonde. The fibers look like natural hair. The wig hugs the nape of neck like natural hair. Of all the different brands that I’ve purchased over the past 7 years, this was the most natural right out of the box.

I did trim the front for bangs, which I think give wigs a more natural and real looking hairline. I’ll purchase another when the price is lower. By the way, I believe the size is average. I typically order petite if available, but this fit like a petite.

So if you have a larger head, it may not fit properly. For me, it’s very comfortable. (I always had baby fine hair, but after many chemo treatments, my hair is half of what it is was. So not much there.

But the convenience of wearing wigs and not having to worry about bad hair days because of rain, snow, humidity, wind, etc. is a blessing).

I ordered this wig based on Sharon’s review. I always order the Perk. I love this wig. She is right. It looks great right out of the box. The light grey color was perfect. The average fit well even though it is small for average.

I will order another one for summer. Great wig. Eva Gabor Wigs have never disappointed me. Love this wig.

I love the Pixie Petite wig I just received! Chose color G12 Pecan Mist and it’s perfect. Very comfortable fit. I would definitely purchase this one again and highly recommend. Thank you!

I’m new to wigs but a learned a lot by ordering this one. I like the mono top, lace front and open cap (much cooler for summer). Style wise I like the layered bangs which just needed a slight trim. I wish it was a bit longer in length and I definitely had to trim the pointed sides since the were too exaggerated.

Sometimes I feel it looks natural but other times I feel it looks like a wig, depending on how the hair has settled. Not a lot of permatease which is a good thing. It’s an average sized cap which I had to take in since I have more of a petite head with no hair.

Wish they posted head measurements for each wig/brand. They were out of the Medium Brown so I ended up with Dark Brown. Wish it had more shade variation and it is shiny (baby powder sprinkled on and combed out helps) but okay if you want a dark brunette.

Conclusion: It’s a good first wig. Good for exercising and summer heat. Fiber is soft. On me it looks best with one or both sides partially tucked behind ear, but I am also looking for another wig with same bangs and longer length in petite/average size.

The best part is that it arrived super fast! I had high hopes for this **** but so far I’m not thrilled. I ordered the white-grey #1001 and do love the color. The hair looks and feels good but the problem is that it’s so sparse that you can see the weft through the hair.

This was the case even before I took the flat iron to it. When it arrived it didn’t look much like the pictures at all. It was a bulky looking mess. except for the back of the wig. the back rocked! Now that I’ve flat ironed it I like it much better.

I will probably just wear a hat over the wig to hid the visible wefting. My Sleek&Chic wig by Hairdo is a lot like this style (when flat ironed) and also has the same visible weft problem. I think this problem doesn’t show up on rooted or dark color wigs.

If you are looking for a cute 60’s/70’s type rock-n-roll ****, Millie by Noriko and Play by Ellen Wille are both a good choice. I like the feel of the cap much more in those other brands. Best wishes on your choice.

I know it’s hard to justify buying Olaplex or any product that cost more then the average. This product is %100 worth it. I have fine oily hair that gets damaged at the ends as I am a blonde so I use this as a leave in treatment.

I usually get two to three days between washes thanks to the holy grail of dry shampoos the one by redkin in the pink can. Anyway the night before I wash my hair I lather this through then comb it an hour before going to bed.

Let me tell you the absolute difference in my hair as I use the Olaplex shampoos and conditioner as well has been life changing. My hair is so much softer and easier to style it doesn’t have that brittle crunchy feel.

It took about a month for me to really see results and I was getting compliments. Also I have oily hair and the shampoo and conditioner from Olaplex doesn’t make it any more oily so I switched to it.

I also now add in the purple shampoo they have. My hairs under my ears in a bob I dry it with my daughters Dyson then just put a few loose curls on the top layer and around the face leaving the ends out just to give my hair texture (ps.

The new ghd is amazing I think it’s called ghd platnium I got the white, when they say you only have to go over your hair once they mean it. I tried using it as a straightener the other day for something different my hairs medium and I only had to go over each section once.

It’s amazing. I will say just in this side note it’s not as long in length as the older versions so if you have really long hair maybe look in store first. If you are skilled in using a straightner you will be ok it’s just I noticed straight away how much shorter it was, but for me it’s great as I have a bob.

) ok back to Olaplex it is a system and they do recommend using the system together, but as I have oily hair this is just not a product I’d put in then my mousse and style my hair as it’s oily. If you have thicker or course hair or very damaged hair that doesn’t get oily this is your product.

Hope this review helps someone and remember when buying hair care products for yourself think like me this is a form of self care. Hair means a lot to a lot of people and you feel good when it looks good.

This is a tough one for me because the product does make your hair soft and smooth, but you have to be very careful with how you apply this. I have very thick and long hair and this product still weighs it all down if I use too much.

We carry this at the salon I work at and here is how the stylists advise as the best way to use itApply ONLY from mid to ends, more towards the ends than anything else. If you start at your roots or towards the top it will weigh your hair down and look greasy.

Use a pea or half a penny sized amount I know, thick hair girls are rolling their eyes I know we always have to use more than normal hair but I swear in this instance its true. Put a tiny bit in the palm of your hand and rub it between your two hands, this spreads it out and will allow better distribution.

Again, too much will make your hair super greasy and sticky. I do occasionally use this to tame some baby hairsbroken pieces at my root that stick up but only the tiniest amount. The biggest downside I find from this is the strange fact that it actually constricts my curls.

Ive noticed a huge difference from when I use this to when I dont and let my hair air dry. This makes it super stringy and causes a weird wavy half curl that looks like I tried to crimp it or something.

Now I only use it when I know I have the time to actually blow dry my hair. If you want to use one of their products for when youre air drying I recommend the oil instead. Hope this helps.

I heard SO much hype about this company and was excited to try it out as my hair was damaged by chemical processing at a salon. However, I’m Very disappointed overall… I bought the full recommended products for my hair and some extras as my hair is really long… based on their quiz…however my hair is so now MORE dry and frizzy from it… Worse than it was before! The only product I felt was nice to use was the shampoo because it felt very moisturizing and didn’t feel like it stripped my hair…until I added the conditioner…then after rinsing it my hair felt so dry and crunchy! I also am not impressed with the smell of the products.

I like my hair to smell really good and last… but this doesn’t do it for me. Each product smells different and you can barely smell them. and I don’t like mint smell in my hair products unless it’s a clarifying product.

The other thing about this company I was not impressed with was their lack of customer service! If you buy from the company directly and need to return your products for a full refund, you have to mail it all the way to California and you have to pay for shipping and also don’t get your initial shipping cost returned! And then you have to WAIT till they get it in the mail before they refund you anything… There needs to be a better system where you can initiate a return and get a shipping label.

To return it, like all other companies do now in this age…very backwards. Won’t purchase this again and especially not from them!.

I l o v e this wig. It can be combed any way you want to wear it—and it looks so real!! The back was a little long and thick for me, so I just used thinning scissors on that part. I have chemical sensitivity, so was amazed that I could wear a synthetic wig.

Maybe it’s the nylon cap. Nylon seems to be the one synthetic I’m not sensitive to. Not having owned a wig before, I am amazed that it is so comfortable as well as great looking!.

I received this product free from Influenster and L’Oréal Paris in exchange for my honest review! To start off, I myself did not get the opportunity to use this dye since I just recently got my hair done, however a good friend allowed me to give her a makeover and boy does she look great! First and foremost I usually do not use box dye products, but this dye surprised me to the fullest! I was pleased to learn that the product was conditioning and came with a tube to strengthen the intensity as well as the “shimmering/highlight” effect.

The dye was quick to setup and processing only took 25 minutes! Likewise, the product did NOT stain skin as badly as it said though I was very careful around the hairline. The dye also was not strong smelling, like most dyes making you lightheaded with ammonia and other chemicals.

I was honestly unsure how the tone was going to come out since my friend had a rather badly toned blonde that was already chemically treated to begin with. But I was very pleased with the results and the tone overall! I definitely could see that shimmery highlighted effect as her hair came out with different tones of violets and blues even! The color is so vibrant and made her hair look very healthy.

Furthermore, the dye came with both conditioning shampoo and conditioner which worked like a charm. Overall I’m really pleased with this, YES BOX DYE and I hope that the color lasts for her. I’ve dyed my hair at least a dozen times, but it’s been a while. I used Féria’s Coral Pink in March without issue, so I thought blue hair sounded fun and picked up Féria’s M10 Cosmic Azure.

I’m not going to knock off any stars for the dye being more dark blueberry on my hair, rather than the more purple blue on the box, because I had previous dye on my hair. But I will dock it all the points for the terrible formula.

It came with a scent ampoule, but that didn’t help. The dye made my eyes water profusely and my husband even commented on it. The dye dripped everywhere in my shower. I was able to clean the tile with bleach and CLR Mold and Mildew, but some of the grout is still blue.

While it was incredibly drippy, it didn’t penetrate hair well at all. I used almost the entire bottle of dye, rubbing it into my hair for 10-15 minutes, then waited another 10-15 while I cleaned blue hair dye out of the shower, and I still have areas where my hair is still brown/coral pink.

I would repeatedly work the dye into my hair and could see it wasn’t penetrating like you’d expect the dye formula to do. I do NOT recommend this dye and am now thinking about a nice, boring dark brown next, maybe not from Féria’s line.

I have my cosmetology license and have not done my own hair in years. There are so many new products out there when it comes to hair color. I went to have my hair professionally done about a month ago and as I’m getting older I am seeing a few gray hairs pop up.

The salon I went to I asked for a Demi gloss as I want to cover the gray but not damage my hair. The product used did not have any coverage and the stylist did not leave it in long enough. I was heading home to see family and wanted to look my best! I went into a cosmo prof and a hairdresser there overheard me talking and recommended scruples in 3N as I have very dark brown hair.

This is a Demi permanent hair color in a cream which allows for more coverage and is still allowing me to maintain the integrity of my hair. I have been very pleased with the end result, the color and shine! I have now found my new favorite product and it looks better than my hair did the last time I went to the salon!.

I’m a lifetime scruples user. It is the most dependable color I have used. True to swatch. Multi tonal colors. Translucent and ammonia free. I love this brand because it is cruelty free and aloe based.

My clients who have had reactions to many other colors have all said that because of this line and how gentle it is in their scalp I will be the only cosmetologist they see.

This is so conflicting because I swear scruples has changed its formula in the last 6 years. I fell in love with scruples during beauty school, but as soon as I was out on my own and of course spend the thousands of dollars it took to have all of my own materials and colors and things, the color ended up being so lackluster.

I feel like the color didn’t last as long, it always pulled WAY darker than it was listed. And it made the hair feel super dry.

I received this in a Voxbox. It was supposed to lighten 9 shades, but did not. My natural color is dark brown. I followed with toner by Zotos Professional – also in the Voxbox – designed to tone out orange.

My hair was only highlighted and still has tons of orange. The samples were 2oz. I have tons of curly hair, so it might have worked better with more product. In the future, I’ll just go to the salon.

Before and After – Lifting Products worked well – Toner was terrible and left the hair damaged and looking strawberry blond – Shampoo 1 was fine – Conditioner 2 was fine – Deep condition 2+ was only okay I can name two better brands out there for all of this.

Bummed and I now have an unhappy problem where I either have to live with it or correct. More Chemicals and this was drying.

I didn’t know what to expect with extensions. Butttttt…omg this piece is awesome! So awesome 2 of my friends are buying them…just different colors! I might buy more also!!

Tried this out for the first time and I have not been very impressed. You can tell this is an old style of pomade. It does work very effectively if you want it to hold well but it will make your head look greasy.

If that’s your style then this may be perfect for you. My other issue is that it is impossible to get out of your hair! Even after a couple of washes, it will not all be out. That alone will make me not want to repurchase this product again.

Will continue my search on finding something affordable that works for me.

Hi. This is the best product I’ve ever tried. Nothing else has worked for me. I am a white woman with hair that is wavy, medium-length, and very frizzy. Just a dime-sized amount makes it smooth and shiny.

It also defines my waves. Also, I don’t have to apply more that day. I just finger-comb it. Regardless of what some people say, it is not like glue. Maybe they use too much of it. I don’t know. I put this in dry hair and it’s perfect just the way it is.

I just warm it up in my hands a little first. Jennifer Aniston supposedly uses it, too. All in all, this is a great product that is very affordable. I highly recommend it. BTW, for those reading this, do not apply any thick hair product to the scalp.

It may close up the pores, eventually resulting in hair loss.

I remember my father using this back in the 60’s. He was African American and Seminole Indian. His hair was wavy. He would use this and brush it down to make waves in his hair. It is an excellent product to use, it is thick so it will hold your edges in place.

The scent is also appealing, I have used this to hold my edges in place, so it works.

I must say, this is amazing! I dye my hair at home a lot, exclusively really. I always do it myself and it is usual a bit of a pain but the things we do for beauty, right? So were my thoughts as I dyed it: It doesn’t smell overwhelmingly terrible, doesn’t drip and run down my hair as I apply it, it seems like a simple process, the timing is standard and it appears to be achieving good coverage in the time allotted and for the amount of dye I have, it rinses out easier than a lot of other dyes I’ve used over the years, it doesn’t leave my hair feeling brittle and ruined and the shade is gorgeous! I have a lot of hair so wasn’t able to dye it all with the one box, but I did the bottom half of my hair and it looks so pretty and natural that I can’t wait to go out and buy another box to do the top half to match.

The lighter hair pic is before and the one with more depth to the blonde is after. I have received a ridiculous amount of compliments on it since I dyed it yesterday (!!!) and I just wish this had always been an available hair dye option.

I received Schwarzkopf Keratin Color in 8. 0 Medium Blonde from Influenster in return for my honest review. I have used boxed colors in the past but for the past 5 years I have been mixing my own hair color using products from Sally’s.

My hair was in need of color, so this trial came at a good time. I have never used a color that had a pretreatment for your ends. It was easy to use but I didn’t see that it made any difference honestly.

I liked the texture of the color itself being a cream instead of liquid like some colors. It had an odor but not strong like many blonde colors. It took a bit to wash it out. I found it odd that I had to towel dry my hair and then put on the conditioner, then wait 3 minutes to wash it out.

Overall the color came out nicely but still a little brassy despite the brassy correction conditioner. It did leave my hair a little frizzy and the ends aren’t as nice as usual. For a box color it is good though.

This is one of my favorite brands! It is heavy duty so be prepared bc it will stain but heck it covers my grey which is resistant. I tried another one and it highlighted my grey to an electric blue but that was actually cool lol.

This time I went back to this and all grays covered but you still see that blue hint which I like! Pro tip: you really do need to apply Vaseline on your skin and ears! It will not easily wash off like you can with other hair dyes! I’m very happy with this and definitely recommend it! Oh and it is like red dyes in the matter that you will be rinsing for forever lol so be prepared! This comes with a pre treatment, color mixers, conditioner, gloves, and directions.

Price was a bit over 10 bucks I think and definitely affordable. I posted my grey pic so you can see before and after! Shake things up a bit, why not!.

Legs and toes: I have shaved my legs for 40+ years, with dark thicker hair that was stubbly again within a day of shaving. After 1 treatment I could see hair was growing back sparsely and not as thick.

After 2 treatments my legs and toes were hair free. No stubble, amazing! Underarms: sparse light brown medium coarse hair which disappeared after 1 treatment Bikini line: 1 treatment saw a huge improvement and problem areas resolved after 2 treatments Face: Having suffered with PCOS I have noticeable facial hair, which is a mix of colours; dark (wiry), blonde (fine), white (wiry).

After 2 treatments my upper lip had very little re-growth. I had no white hairs there and it seems to have worked on the finer blond hairs and almost every dark hair after 5 treatments. The blonde hairs on my face have gone, but the very wiry dark and white hairs are still present.

I will persevere as I think the number of dark hairs is slowly reducing and possibly getting less wiry, but there is no effect whatsoever on white hairs (which I was expecting as per Philip’s guidance).

After one treatment a number of dark ingrown hairs on my chin started to grow normally which was a bonus. I also have very fine peach fuzz (blonde/almost white) which seems to be improved, but the jury is out on this as I have never treated it before, so it might just be a slow grower.

Conclusion – an amazing device, worth the money and I feel more feminine without hairy legs, toes and stubble. Easy to use but you do have to set time aside (takes me about 70 minutes to do half leg, underarm, bikini and face).

You also need to stick to a schedule, if you miss a treatment the instructions say you must start again.

For me (and a lot of other people leaving reviews for Philips’ IPL at-home device), it’s one of those products that has a list of pros and cons and whether it’s worth buying and trying comes down to your specific needs and, let’s face it, body hair.

I’ve used my Philips Lumea machine on my legs, arms and face. Out of the box, the IPL machine has a high quality feel – smooth, ergonomic looking and, best of all, a neat pouch to put everything in and keep the various attachment heads safe.

It’s pretty compact. The machine itself I’d give a 9/10 on ease of use. Switch it on and select the right head (each corresponds with a body part with handy images). To use you need to choose right head according to your need and then zap away.

You can do this by pressing the trigger to zap, then repositioning to the next area, and zapping again. In the case of larger areas like legs, you can keep your finger on the trigger and just move the head over your legs.

Is it painful ?– yes and no. On my legs and arms I feel zero pain. On my legs, a couple of zings that people have likened to having an elastic band snapping on you. I didn’t find it that bad…on my legs.

But on face a bit especially around lips area as it is very sensitive area. Before you use You have to remove all the hair from the area you zap before you do it. If you don’t, it’s not only less effective, you’re going to smell a lot of singed hair.

When I first started out, the advice was to shave, which I hate because it causes horrific ingrown hairs but i started trimming the areas as It doesn’t give you ingrown. Overall, it is a pretty significant win, for better results i need to use more as up til now i had use it twice so there is definitely more work to be done.

It’s easy to see this as a downside – the regular maintenance – but at the same time, it’s a huge plus having the machine already there and paid for and ready to go. I’d have been much more furious if I’d skipped the maintenance on a £3k treatment and started to see the hairs regrow with force.

This is my review on Philips Lumea and according to my experience i will recommend this product for cheap, easy and convenient use.

I never write reviews but felt I needed to for this as I trawled through reviews for weeks trying to decide if I should go for it or not. I was sceptical at the start and didn’t think it would work but took the plunge anyway as I was so sick of shaving every day resulting in shaving rash, ingrown hairs and itchiness, especially on my bikini area.

I have quite pale skin and very light brown hair on my legs and underarms and dark hair on my bikini area. After the first session I didn’t notice any difference (you’re not supposed to) so I was worried I’d wasted my money.

However, after the second session I started seeing amazing results under my arms, I havent had to shave under my arms since the first session!! My bikini line was patchy but I could see the hairs were starting to fall out (I did a Hollywood as i wanted it all gone).

The hairs on my legs were definitely growing slower and finer. I have just finished my 4th session and I genuinely don’t need to shave anywhere at all!! There are maybe one or two hairs on my bikini area but that’s because I’ve missed them when using the lumea so i just need to go back over them.

I’m absolutely shocked, I really didn’t think it would work, never mind to the point I feel like I could throw my razor away and never use one again. It takes a while to do everywhere but it’s so worth the effort.

I used it on setting 4 as that was what the skin sensor suggested for my skin. It was mostly painless, however there were a few times when it felt like i was being twanged with an elastic band. But it wasn’t bad enough to say it was painful.

The lumea can get quite hot though so half way through I’d switch it off for a while to let it cool down as it was more comfortable to use. I’ve recommended this to all of my friends and family and I’m so happy I never have to shave or wax again and just have to top up with the lumea once a month.

My other half has just started using it on a patch of hair on his stomach he wants rid of after seeing how well it’s worked for me. Absolute game changer.

they want you to believe that this is the original formula that they’ve had since the 1970s. It is not the original formula and their customers know it. It does not work anymore. you can leave it on for 2 hours and it still won’t work like it used to.

what a shame. you take a great product and then you ruin it and then have the nerve to put the word original formula on the box which is so not true. You’ve lost my entire family as customers.

Just used this for the first time on my upper lip: Cons: 1. it burns me. Makes me wonder how strong the normal version is! However, it doesn’t burn enough to need to remove it. 2. There really needs to be a tiny measuring spoon.

I basically had to do it by eye which obviously effects the mixture.

I used a measuring spoon to get the ratio of powder to cream correct. It worked well at lightening the hair once I got the measurements right. I did not leave this on the entire time it recommends on the instructions because I started to have a slight burning sensation.

It lightened the hair well after about 10 mins and didn’t leave much redness or irritation on my skin afterwards. I will try the sensitive skin version of this product after I finish this one. I used to use the Veet brand hair lightening that came with two cream products to mix together but I cannot find it again to repurchase it.

It was way less messy than this Jolen powder/cream duo. I miss that Veet product but Jolen seems to be the only alternative product I can find locally. Jolen does a decent job but I prefer the other.
