20 Best Grounds For Cold Brew (2023 Updated)

I was thrilled to try this out and it did not fail to make it a great coffee experience. I loved it! I read one review, or description on the site that said it would be great over ice cream and I couldn’t wait to try that out! Again, did not fail to impress and make an awesome desert! It is so easy to make, you just put the bags in the bag with the spout, add the water, and put in fridge overnight.

In the morning, you just remove the bags. Literally just that simple. I like my coffee very strong with lots of sugar so when it said it has chicory, so taste before adding sugar, I did just that and had great strong coffee but still needed the sugar so added just a bit and then I had my most perfect home made coffee ever! It is so great to have a product that I no longer needed to run out and pay an arm and leg for that great coffee experience.

Now I just make it at home and enjoy for up to 2 weeks in the fridge. Great either hot or cold and you can even put a bag in your coffee maker and make it that way. The chicory and spices are excellent too! I recommend this to any coffee lover! Has so many ways to make and drink, like I said, over ice cream was so good I will be enjoying this way for some time as well as my morning drink before work.

I’ve been a customer of Cameron’s for some time, and always got vanilla hazelnut decaf, which I loved! When I was ready to reorder, they didn’t have that in ground coffee, so based on reviews, I decided to try Highlander Grogg.

I wanted to buy one package, to see if I liked it, but they would only sell it in 6 packs. I decided to take a chance, based on my positive experience with Cameron’s coffee. I made it this morning for the first time, and I think it’s horrible! It has a very sweet taste, and while others seemed to find the aroma pleasant, I don’t.

So now I have 5 unopened packages that I won’t use! What a waste of money!! I’d be happy to donate the unopened packs to anyone who likes this flavor. Just pm me on facebook…Vivian Green Oliver.

I absolutely love Cameron’s Highlander Grog Ground Coffee! It is a light roast, which is what I usually buy. I love butterscotch and you can taste it in here, but it is not a strong overpowering flavor.

I generally avoid flavored coffee because the taste is usually too strong and never tastes quite like it should, but that is not the case with this one. And the smell is amazing! This is a good brand of coffee that I trust and enjoy.

I am looking forward to trying some of the other flavors as well. This one will definitely be part of my coffee rotation now!.

So far this is my favorite blend for cold brew. It’s always sold out at the store so it must be an area favorite. The butterscotch and rum that comes through is flavorful, the coffee is smooth and not bitter.

This makes for a very smooth cold brew. It is so good I don’t even need any sweetener to enjoy this. It’s also good hot, but personal preference is cold brew. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a flavored coffee.

For the last year and a half or so I have been on a search for finding the best locally roasted espresso beans to make cappuccinos. In that year and a half I have purchased from quite a number of local roasters, and have found many fine roasts.

And this is one of them. It is darker than a ‘typical’ medium espresso roast, which is what I prefer. Very smooth, with chocolately undertones which is what I want. And a 16 ounce bag, compared to other brands 12 ounce miserly offerings for about the same price? Can’t beat it.

It also makes a great standard cup of joe in my Aeropress, when ground to a medium grind. Would def. recommend.

I ordered 3 flavored and 1 iced. Flavored coffee is usually too weak so I love that you can specify the strength and grind. I ordered my flavored strong are perfect. Full bodied. Low acidity and flavors pop while still having that strong coffee base.

The iced is wonderful. I prepare it in a large French press and it’s perfect. Goodbye to expensive cafe bought. My only note is that you can get the iced for much less at other vendors. While I prefer to buy direct unless the price is comparable, I will continue to purchase elsewhere.

I’m a first-time customer, having found Stone Street through a Google search for Cold Brew Coffee. After reading numerous reviews, overwhelmingly positive, I ordered a 5-lb bag of the Cold Brew Reserve.

My wife is the primary cold brew drinker in our household and she is raving about the taste! Putting the majority of the beans in the freezer, we take out what we need, brew our 40 ounces and drink it – both hot and cold.

Stone Street offered a 15% discount on their already low prices. It was a deal too good to refuse. We’re glad we found this company and will be ordering more coffee from them in the future!.

I love the idea of this product! It should make life so easy when the packs work. Yesterday when opening a new bag of packs I tore the outer bag open from the notch as it was designed but the coffee pack had been sealed into the bags seam so when I tore it open, it also tore the coffee pack causing coffee grounds to spray everywhere.

Your packaging should reflect the same quality as your coffee. If I have to strain my coffee after brewing there is really no point in buying this product over a regular bag of coffee. The coffee packs are also extremely delicate after brewing and you have to remove them with a spoon so as not to tear them open.

Great coffee, great idea, poor execution. Do better Dunkin’.

I don’t make reviews quite often, but I had to do a review for this cold brew right here! I followed the instructions on the box. Soak overnight with four cups of water. This makes a concentrate. Then after soaking for 8-24 hours, remove bags and add an additional 3 cups (or less, depending how strong you like your coffee.

) I’ve tried making my own from grounds, I’ve tried espresso over ice, I’ve tried different methods and this is the only one that’s been easy. Virtually fool proof. I didn’t have any issues opening the box, like I’ve seen some reviews say, but I’ll keep an eye out for my next purchase.

To keep it short, for some reason you might find a ripped bag. It is super annoying, BUT with the two bags I have that pitcher will last me a week. I can probably get another 3 – 5 uses from the single bag.

The point for me is to NOT buy iced coffee every day, and I think even down a bag I can achieve that. It tastes great! Plus, if you have a ripped bag, I feel like you could probably still use those grounds in another way perhaps? Not sure.

My point is that even though I’m down a bag I am still saving money, so for me it’s worth it.

I’ve been drinking espresso for as long as I can remember. Being an Italian American, it’s simply part of my heritage. All espresso is not created equally. Drinking a straight shot of Stone Street, nothing added, is just superb.

It’s rich in flavor but mellow and doesn’t feel overly acidic. It’s silky, smooth and very enjoyable. I ordered my first five pound bag recently. I see no reason to look any further. I’ve found my coffee.

I love this coffee! It taste so good. I can’t really taste the specific flavor of this coffee, I think it’s because the pecan flavor enhances the coffee beans so well. I usually get this brand when my regular subscription brand coffee is out.

This one is low acid, so it’s gentle on my tummy. That’s the main reason I get it. I love coffee in the morning, so being without it would feel like a tragedy. This brand is pretty expensive in my opinion, but if you got to have it, you’ll pay the price.

It’s not always easy to find either. I did find some at our local Walmart though. Whew! Anyway, I would recommend this coffee and I would recommend trying the other delicious varieties too.

I have had the same issues as so many of the others on here making reviews. Love dunkin coffee and is my go to for my everyday. Saw the cold brew packs and thought “it dunkin it is going to be good” Wasn’t wrong about the taste, the cold brew is amazing, if you can open the package without the bag being sealed to the outer package.

The last three of these that I have bought have all had the same problem. The filter bag is sealed to the outer bag and you end up tearing the filter bag when you open it. Over all like others have said, great idea/bad packaging.

Originally found at Sams Club and purchased because the price was decent. I LOVED these because they were so easy to make. When they were gone, my Penny pinching self tried making my own that always turned into a big mess.

Then I purchased a cold brew french press or whatever and it’s more affordable but doesn’t easily make enough for 2 people who drink multiple cups throughout the day. If saving where you can isn’t an issue this is definitely a great product.

If I had the budget to allow keeping up a stock of these, I would and have multiple pitchers ready to go every day! As with the regular at home coffee it isn’t quite the same but its still good (i dont recommend using the bags of coffee brewed in store, at home, its even more so not the same because of as t home brewers not reaching the same temps or something as a previous DD worker roomje explained).

I bought these to try as I’ve read about the cold brew craze and drink mostly iced coffee during the summertime. Unfortunately, these large size pods are too expensive for me to use on a regular basis.

Typically I use a Mr. Coffee to make a whole pot of coffee (12 cups), add my sugar for sweetening while it’s hot, and then put in fridge. Iced coffee at the ready! With the pods, if you use a sweetener, vs.

black, you have no way to melt the sugar. I would have to buy a liquid sweetener just for this. Further, Adding the 3 cups of cold water after the pod brewing brought such a weak coffee that I couldn’t even believe that adding 3 cups was recommended.

Adding about one and half cups (half the recommended amount) worked for my taste better. The flavor then represented a medium strength brew in my opinion, with a total result of only 4 1/2 cups. I think I will continue to find another way to make cold brew an option for me.

In the summer, I only drink my coffee iced. I love the cold brewed method. It’s so far superior to making hot coffee and refrigerating it. Nevertheless, making cold brew coffee is a very messy task. You can get coffee grounds all over your sink and kitchen counters.

Green Mountain and Keurig have the perfect solution – coffee in what looks like giant tea bags. You pour cold water in a pitcher, insert the coffee bag, leave the pitcher over night, remove the bags in the AM, and add some more water.

Voilà, you have a delicious pitcher of cold brew coffee.

Both times I brewed this product, the filters degraded to the point of all the grounds spilling out and making a giant mess upon removal. The filters are the conssitency of toilet paper. I tried both options for removal at 12 hours and ankthet batch at 8 hours.

All the pods ripped and crumbled. Yes, the coffee tastes great after it had been run through a strainer with paper towels. Very disappointed and wasteful. I would not buy again. Even worse, I gave a box of another flavor as a gift.

While I’m happy for Stone Street’s success, I’m frustrated by the surge of you folks that discovered this absolutely perfect coffee. It’s sold out, you monsters! 🙂 It’s our fault, though. Everyone that tries this feels compelled to share it.

I’ve been a fan of beans from the Yirgacheffe region. There’s ~380 square miles of coffee farming in the area, so not every offering from the region is the same. I’ve tried many. Most are good. This one is the best.

Stone Street has by far the best combination of source (the actual fruit) and roasting decisions that produce the best flavor out of all of them. So, I get why it’s so popular, But when it’s sold out, I hate all of you.

So, my favorite and regular 1 pound a week purchase Sidamo was not available last month. Arrrggghhh! So I did some research on what was available and I learned that Yirgacheffe is Sidamo, it just from a town called Yirgacheffe.

I thought to myself ‘this should be easy. ‘ I swapped in the Yirgacheffe. I figured could use for now and I could go back later, but now I’m not sure I will. Same roast, same fruit, same acid, but smoother.

I like!.

Roasted one pound in Barwell electric roaster for one hour at 434 degrees farenheit. Let beans sit in black vacuum container (tightvac. com) for 72 hours (same as I do with my Costa Rica beans which I only roast for 40minutes).

The Columbia Supremo beans were a dark brown but not black, after roasting. After 72 hours in the vacuum container, I ground some beans and put them in my immersion press for 5 minutes. The coffee had a light roast taste.

Not the strong, dark roast I expected (I drink my coffee black). I left the rest of my roast in the vacuum container for two more days (total 5 days). Made another brew, using same method as above. This time the beans had turned black but not with the only sheen my Costa Rica beans get after just 72 hours in the vacuum container.

The coffee was excellent, almost as good as my Costa Rica beans. The bottom line here is, the beans had to be roasted longer (if roasting at 434 degrees), and have to rest in a black vacuum container for 5 days to develop their full potential.

Branding, 10/10 Ease of brewing, 10/10 Smoothness, 10/10 Price, ehhh. I really enjoyed the canister I had of this. It came with 3 pre-portioned filter bags that you just drop into the required about of water and let it do it’s thing overnight.

It’s got great flavor and can be brewed as a concentrate or not. It also has chicory in the mix so it gives it a bit extra something something.

Very good product price was good and shipping was outstanding except fedex just put it at the edge of my back porch and it started blowing rain before I got home but product was fine box was soaked

This has a great tasting flavor when you add a splash of almond milk and a little bit of raw cane sugar. I love sweet tasting coffee and this is perfect. If you love the flavor of straight coffee then this might not appeal to you because of the chicory spice that’s added to this.

A favorite! A spicy finish is something I never knew I wanted and would love! Stopped in at The Coffee Bean at The District @ Green Valley Ranch, Henderson, NV, and ordered a cold brew coffee which I love best. I’ve only been in one other Coffee Bean before and this coffee absolutely knocked my socks off.

It was fabulousl. I’ll never go to that other coffee store ever again. Love making my own cold brew at home and will only use this coffee I will be ordering online if can’t find it in my local store.

Absolutely love the cold brew coffee! It’s so smooth and the taste is delicious with the vanilla powder and ice blended or just over ice. Brewing at home is much easier than I thought and I can enjoy one anytime.

This coffee is the best!! Decaf cold brew is almost impossible to find! Ready in just 12 hours this brews so much faster than other cold brew packets. I love the taste of this coffee and I used to pay $5 a cup at a local store but am so happy to make it in my house instead!.

I have fallen in love with cold brew but can’t have it much because of the caffeine. Well this is my new best friend because it’s caffeine free and the taste is so smooth yet bold. I drink this every day and it’s so easy to make me hanks to the coffee bags! Hands down the best flavor of ANY cold brew I have had.

I also made it into a cocktail and it was Devine!.

Rich, full taste with absolutely no bitterness. Easy to prepare. Love that it contains chicory. If you like dark roasts, you will enjoy this. Wish the bags made a little more volume because they’re huge.

But one bag will make about 4 cups of very good strength. Says it’s decaf but I get a delayed caffeine reaction to it, though not as much as I would with regular coffee. Really nice product, I would buy again.

Affordable, I’ll give it that! Thought I’d save my coin and give it a try, since the Stok and Starbucks pre-made cold brew are getting pretty expensive. This coffee didn’t have much flavor and it was very light and resembled iced tea, despite brewing it for a longer period of time.

I definitely don’t recommend adding 3 cups of water to the concentrate after you brew it as this will water it down significantly. I’d recommend adding 1 or 1. 5 cups. If you like light-colored and light-tasting coffee, then it may be your thing, but I wasn’t a fan.

This is some good stuff!! I brew two bags at a time. Of course the longer you allow it to brew the stronger the taste will be. Once I remove the bags I add a can of sweetened condensed milk to the mix and give it a good shake and pour over ice.

I’ve also prepared it without the condensed milk and just added my favorite creamer to my morning serving. I recommend trying International Delight’s creamer in hazelnut or vanilla cannoli latte crème as an add in.

I was completely unimpressed with this product. I tried it to see how it compared with the Starbucks pitcher pack and theres a reason for the drastic price difference. First packs themselves bothered me because they were fibrous as opposed to just resembling coffee filters.

I thought it could leave material behind in the pitcher you would never be able to see but would definitely drink. Second, if you follow the instructions you get completely watered down iced coffee, but if you add less water to try and make it stronger all you get is something extremely bitter.

Even with creamer or milk it did not taste good and I poured the entire pitcher out, both times. Sometimes its worth it to buy the name brand and I’m sticking with my Starbucks.

We enjoyed Anniversary Blend very much. It was a well above average coffee, pretty well rounded. It’s a medium roast, but with bold body so it wasn’t timid. If it were the only FRC coffee we’d tried, it would be OK as our “go to” coffee, but we are on a mission! Coffee is an affordable luxury and we’re searching for the best; we don’t want to settle.

The Anniversary Blend entered into an unfair fight: we bought a bag of it at the same time we decided to splurge a bit on a bag of Haitian Blue. The bags were big enough they lasted us a while, long enough to do ample comparisons between the two.

It was no contest: the Haitian Blue won convincingly, and although it’s more expensive, I just buy the Haitian Blue in 5# bags, which puts us over the free-shipping threshold, and use Fresh Points to get a discount.

Sure we could spend half as much on our coffee, but it’s not like we’re buying caviar; we can afford a few more dimes per day to get the best coffee we can brew. So nothing against Anniversary Blend.

If you’re contemplating buying some, go for it. It might be exactly what your taste buds want. For us, it was good, but noticeably less so than the Haitian Blue. We’ll keep exploring FRC’s extensive offerings and see if we find something we like even more than Haitian.

I’m an extremely happy customer; FRC’s products, pricing, ease of ordering, roast-to-order process, and their prompt shipping has made us very happy, loyal customers.

All three of these selections, French, Italian and Breakfast Blend were unpleasantly bitter. Some bitterness is not unexpected; I’m drinking a cup of the French Roast now, made to my normal strength in a Chemex, with a LOT of milk, and it reminds me of how much it’s not like the typical cafe creme I used to enjoy in Provence.

We expected the Italian roast to be slightly lighter, but it wasn’t. The Breakfast Blend, a much lighter roast, was also nearly undrinkable. Needless to say, we won’t order any of these again. On a positive note, though, I’m glad these were offered as a sampler.

We’re still enthusiastic about FRC. My current favorite is the Tanzanian Peaberry, and my wife’s favorite is the Indian Monsoon Malabar. We really like the Java Taman Dadar, too.

Once in a blue moon, one finds the perfect harmony in things he or she expects and enjoys in a carefully crafted product. I didn’t discover Fresh Roasted Coffee until about four years ago, when I went over to a friend’s house and saw two, HUGE five pound bags of coffee beans sitting on top of his refrigerator.

Up until this point in my life, I had always preferred the darkest, most potently roasted beans and upon his most favorable reviews of FRC, I ordered my first bag of beans. And of course, they were French and Espresso roasts.

They were excellent and mouthwatering, with the quick shipping and the price point, I was very happy with the whole package. But if you’re someone like me, I like supporting my local roasters and products, so I continued ordering from FRC, a couple times a year, while picking up beans from my local roaster a lot of the times.

Then the pandemic hit and the local roaster closed its doors, along with a handful of my favorite local businesses and restaurants. And to be honest, by this time, my taste in coffee beans had been changing little by little, and finding myself preferring a little less dark, more flavorful roasts, such as a Viennese roast or something even a little milder.

So during the pandemic, surfing thru FRC’s website, I found the medium roasted Blackbeard’s Revenge blend and decided to give it try, along with a bag of organic beans from Mexico. The result was that I found Blackbeard’s revenge to have the most balanced character of any blended coffee beans I had ever tried, with its medium roast and acidity, perfectly nuanced without sacrificing that smoky taste of coffee that I loved.

I’ve ordered several pounds of it since, not only for myself but for friends and family for the past holidays. I have a feeling they’ll be my staple of coffee beans for a long time and will be hard pressed to find a medium roast blend better than Blackbeard’s Revenge.

I hate writing bad reviews but I just don’t feel right about this product. I have been roasting my coffee for about ten years. Colombian Supremo has been our choice of green coffee beans for a long time.

I purchased this product because my long-time source had just jacked up their price on a similar amount, by $10. I was annoyed. When I received these beans, I could tell something was amiss the moment I opened the bag.

Supremo beans are somewhat larger than ordinary coffee beans. Noticeably so. For the time being, I dismissed my concern and roasted them to five seconds into second crack, which is my personal favorite.

Then some a little darker and some lighter. I usually do about six, 2-cup loads. Afterwards, I compared them to Supremo, side by side. They clearly were a third smaller. I didn’t mention anything and the next day brewed it up, my standard grind and amount.

The wife immediately noticed the difference and asked me what was wrong with the coffee today. She was correct. It was coffee but certainly lacked the character of a good cup of Supremo. I tossed the batch and over the next few days tried the lighter and darker at different grinds and amounts.

I will not provide the name of the supplier I was previously using (and went back to), as it would taintthis review. Nor am I going to draw any conclusions. Anyway, if you’re going to try this coffee, purchase a relatively small amount and compare it with similar products before you go all-in.

We enjoy the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. It has a nice, light, smooth flavor. We wouldn’t order this bean again due to personal flavor preferences (we prefer darker, more robust roasts) however, if you enjoy a light, pleasant tasting coffee you will probably enjoy this roast.

Christmas in a bottle. Gives a beautiful warm, spiced gingerbread flavour to your coffee. Makes a banging gingerbread coffee frappechino. Also yummy to use in warm milk, hot chocolate, baking, porridge.

(if anyone can reccomend some other used feel free to comment!) Its great value for a large bottle as a little goes a long way. Highly reccomend.

The taste of Irish cream without the liquor! This is the workday appropriate coffee additive! I craved Irish cream when pregnant and was SO thrilled when I found this product. Still use it after birth even though I’m drinking alcohol again.

This coffee is absolutely outstanding. It almost feels like a dessert when you’re drinking it! Rich, fresh, flavorful, and the aroma is something else!! Its great for after dinner, or first thing in the morning to put a smile on your face.

We originally bought the ground, but we love the beans even more. This is one GREAT coffee!!!!!.

5 STAR HOTEL BLEND is my favorite for every morning. Rich and smooth, it is great served black, or with bagged cane sugar and coffeemate, for a creamy sweeter taste. This blend is most reminiscent of my childhood in New Orleans.

Small children were served a tiny cup of warm milk with a tablespoon of wonderful N. O. coffee added to each cup. This began a lifetime of enjoyment and appreciation of the taste of fine coffee. My daily coffee is still a rewarding experience, having found this wonderfully mellow Community blend.

It is perfect with lunch, and for an afternoon lift. I give this 5 STAR Coffee blend and biscotti as my well received Seasonal Gifts. This simple quality pleasure makes my life Extra Wonderful!.

CommunityCoffee has been a mainstay in my home for many years. I love that the quality & freshness is consistent, regardless of which variety I purchase. This Ground Coffees Around the World – Mexico coffee is a light-bodied coffee with subtle notes of bittersweet cocoa.

One of the aspects I appreciate is that this delicious coffee with it’s silky finish does not upset my sensitive digestive tract. It’s 100% Arabica Coffee. It comes from the beans of a Coffea Arabica plant, which originated in Ethiopia.

Arabica coffee contains almost 60% more lipids and almost twice the amount of sugar of other types of coffee. These play an important part in not only the flavor, but the aroma and body of the coffee.

Arabica beans taste better because the increase in sugar gives the coffee a better taste, a cleaner mouthfeel, and a decrease in bitterness. The aroma of this coffee is divine! It filled my senses the moment I opened the resealable package and then filled my apartment as it brewed in my electric drip coffee pot.

Looking forward to trying other varieties of CommunityCoffee’s “Coffees Around the World” blends. Love that I can savor the flavor of coffees served in other countries without leaving my apartment.

I’ve been unable to drink coffee after suffering a spinal cord injury 11 years ago. Even small amounts of caffeine cause undesirable effects. I’ve tried all other alternatives, but since they mostly include some type of gluten, I can’t use them.

This is the perfect substitute for me!! I love the taste of pure chicory!! I run it through my Kuereg machine in a reusable brew cup just like coffee grounds. It’s sooooo rich and delicious. And the smell.

My mornings are complete again. Thanks Community Coffee!! I’m a lifetime buyer after my first Cup.

This is an excellent coffee for those that like a dark expresso-like roast, with beans from Central/South America and India, the flavor is rather bold with plenty of oils when brewed. A real smooth brew with no bitterness and wonderful aroma.

A brew that will wake one up for sure with a higher caffein content than your regular brew. The whole bean package will ensure that your coffee is fresh when you grind them up according to your preferred method of brewing, finer for expresso and coarser for french press.

All in all a really enjoyable cup of coffee!.
