I love this coffee grinder! The engraving details were amazing and it was such a beautiful gift! Such a gorgeous piece of art that can also be used in the kitchen––a true statement piece.

I purchased this off of Amazon a few months ago and it has been my absolute favorite thing about my days off in the mornings!! I cant wait until the fall and winter months to drink more hot coffee. Not to mention its stunning! Absolutely love this purchase and Im so happy!.

After working in specialty coffee for 17 years, I’ve gotten rather picky with my home setup. I wanted a grinder that could grind and hold up like a commercial/cafe grinder but would sit on my countertop.

I needed to look no further. The build is excellent. The grind adjustment notches are metal which makes a huge difference in feel when adjusting the grind. The flat burrs are excellent quality (stainless steel) and produce a highly uniform grind.

Additionally, the BG uses a slower motor speed, but has fantastic torque, so it doesn’t vary in the speed of grinding. The machine in general is built very well with only the grinds bin and hopper having plastic elements.

The machine was packaged extremely well and arrived in perfect shape. If you have the money, and want cafe quality grinding at home, and make filter/immersion brews as your go to–look no further.

After grinding three double espresso a day, every day, for the past nearly 10 years, the motor on my trusty 2010 Vario eventually gave up. It had been problem-free for all that time and the model size and profile had suited my domestic setup well.

I was therefore intent on buying an exact replacement. However, after viewing many YouTube videos and hundreds of posts in the various coffee forums, I eventually decided to treat myself and my La Pavoni Europiccola to a grinder upgrade.

I settled on the Forte AP and this was to be my first purchase from CoffeeHit. I chose this particular supplier because of their excellent feedback and because the Forte they sell comes with both ceramic and steel burrs, effectively providing both the AP and BG grinder in one.

The grinder arrived earlier than expected, despite CoffeeHit moving warehouses and I was both grateful and impressed by CoffeeHit for their regular e-mails providing situational updates on the progress of my order.

As for the Forte, it is for me the perfect upgrade to my old Vario. Same footprint as the Vario and so enabling me to keep it in exactly the same spot as my last grinder without having to change my (tight for space) kitchen setup.

The Forte is heavier (having so much more metal) and certainly looks the part, such that both my wife and daughter have praised it for its looks. I find it a little louder than the Vario was but of course the Forte can grind by weight (into the plastic coffee bin only) as well as by timer where I can use the useful portafilter holder, which fits the La Pavoni Europiccola’s portafilter well.

The Forte has reignited my interest and enthusiasm in my daily espresso drinks and it provides a better and far more consistent grind than I had been used to, resulting in a more flavoursome cup. The Forte suits my coffee needs and I am so pleased I bought it.

Best money ever spent for espresso. I thought I had a decent grinder before but now I realize. Well built, solid grinder. As with any grinder, need to run it while shifting to a finer macro grind, so I’ve had to get used to wasting some coffee grinds.

Based upon my pre-purchase research though, this grinder doesn’t ‘retain’ a lot when changing beans or settings. We do this often, using both the portafilter and basket dispensing.

The only manual grinder I could find and takes 10 minutes just to grind enough for a cup. Much to slow in the mornings. Then after a week it fell apart. I ended up hooking my battery drill to get it to work.

So after all, a complete waste. Just get a decent Burr grinder if you like a French press and need a fat grind. They’ve been the best I’ve found. Otherwise just get a blade gringer if a fine grind is okay.

But don’t waste time with this thing.

For the price, this lightweight and efficient little coffee grinder is a good value and can grind enough for a pot of coffee. Good backup for electric grinders which can stop working!

I can not believe all people crying on here abt a 22 coffee bean grinder. I have owned mine for 10 year. I even bought one for my mama. It does exactly what it is made to do. You can adjust the grinder to the size of grind you want.

I have used mine countless times on different settings. I have never had an issue. I like mine finer almost like a powder it does that. My mama liked hers more gritter. It does that. We have also used it for herbs etc.

I really don’t know what people expect or want. If you want pay 100 bucks for a grinder then you should bought one begin with. Maybe they need read the Manuel so they know how use it properly? I’d recommend this to anyone.

If you feel you need spend more money on a fancy gadget that does same thing but makes you feel like your neighbors or family will think your wealthy. well go ahead. Not one thing wrong with this grinder.

This coffee grinder was like a best friend. Always there when you need them. The grinder allowed me to choose how many cups of coffee I would make, told me how many spoons of whole beans to put in. It also had a setting for the type of grind I desired.

Very inexpensive but unfortunately it stopped working after awhile. It just did not grind like it used to. I was disappointed because it is a good product but as stated it just stop grinding like it used to.

Should have better read the reviews when I purchased it. I bought it A year ago but only started using it in January and not as frequently as your average coffee drinker. Now it’s completely stopped working.

How is a product supposed to only be expected to last 10 months? I should have just continued using the Starbucks barista grinder I wanted to get rid of because it was so old. 7 years old and it still works perfectly.

Daughter’s boyfriend bought his burr grinder. A few weeks later, i bought my own. Static issue persists though I do the recommended ‘tapping’ on the receptacle as noted in instructions. Receptacle not conducive for easy pour out as others have noted.

It is messy but I continued to use it as volume at one time, quality, and automation seemed working well as designed. Had about 2 months (not daily use) and went for deeper cleaning. Easily pulled out the ring.

Hand washed and let dry overnight. I placed the ring back in and set the hopper on top but the hopper will not turn from the ‘off’ position. Tried re-sitting everything. Called 1-866-832-4843 and chose ‘Brim’ option.

Unintelligible support (muffled and such). Thought I was trying to buy the product. After clarification on cleaning effort, the support said they had no access to the product support. I had more Brim website info than the support person did! Stuck.

Was interested in getting other line of Brim coffee hardware but not sure if this is the support available. No Brim videos. Other brands have maintenance detailed vids. This may be an 30 second easy maintenance item or user error on what seems a well constructed item but lack of support has me baffled.

This design is riddled with issues. The coffee gets everywhere, the small coffee tray lid hinge broke in less than a month. The top of the lid depresses a button that lets the motor function so the lid is required.

There’s all a small undercut square hole in the top of the lid the coffee is supposed to fall through – it doesn’t form a clean seal and the grounds get everywhere; every time you pull it out, then flip the lid all the way open to the get the grounds out.

I’m outside of the return window and there weren’t many options I was seeing <100$ with an electric burr grinder. We're just going to name this thing "Brimly" and try to come up with a way to keep that button held down so I can find a new tray.

Also – there’s issues with feeding beans, like it’ll be filled to the line and during grinding just give up like it doesn’t care anymore and make a dry whining noise until you smack ole Brimly like he’s in a diabetic coma.

This is an excellent burr grinder. I tried it on a few grind-size settings and it produced a mostly uniform grind in all cases. Yes, there were a few bigger pieces that got through somehow (see the picture) on the finest setting and some small stuff that got out (probably just got jammed between the wheels and another coffee bean) for the larger, french-press setting, but all-in-all, 95% or better of what came out was exactly the size set on the wheel.

You’re not going to get that from a bladed chopper. and if you’re grinding beans for anything other than a drip coffee maker, having that consistency really matters in the cup. Yes. it’s loud. but it’s not that much louder than a bladed chopper, and to get a good, uniform grind, it’s well worth it.

I like that there are so many grind-size settings. Some machines can be very finicky about the grind size. just a bit too small or a bit too large and you get something less than it could be giving you.

With this burr grinder, you can literally dial in the exact grind size that makes the perfect cup of coffee. the one that tastes best to you. Sure, you can spend $15 less and get a bladed chopper, and I used one for years.

until I got a burr grinder for a Christmas present one year. That one finally wore out (I work from home, so I use the grinder A LOT!) and there was no way I was going to get anything but a burr grinder again.

Go ahead and spend the money. get this grinder. You’ll thank yourself within days once you have that perfect setting dialed in and are getting the best-tasting coffee you’ve ever made.

This unit is quiet and efficient. I’ve only been using it for a week or two but it’s working well so far. It seems easy to get to the burrs for cleaning. The grind is consistent and has very fine adjustment.

It drops short of 5 starts because of static build up. Too much plastic. The grounds finish up in the receiver with loads of static charge so if you stick a teaspoon in or try and tip them out, the grounds fly out all over the counter propelled by static.

They say if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. Well, in this case, it was broke, but it lasted eight years! So, we had to replace it and why not go with the same unit when we had such great success using it to grind our daily coffee?! This is a very nice burr mill that we have gained much use from over the years and now we replace it with a brand new unit that is exactly like the other one and hoping we get another 8-10 years out of it.

Why do we like it? * It has a nice look with the majority being shiny stainless steel housing. * The hopper on the top holds a half pound of beans. * You have a choice of 6 settings for every type of grind you choose.

* It does great on coarse grind for our French Press coffee, very uniform. * You hit the button and it stops when it is done grinding. * Once you figure out what grind you like, how much you want and what setting you prefer it is a simple process and then you just have to decide what kind of bean you want in there.

It does the rest. * It is fairly easy to clean up, doesn’t take up too much space and best of all it works great and does it all quite fast. If either of us had anything negative to say about it, we’d have to say it is loud, but then if you aren’t hand grinding, what isn’t loud when it comes to grinding coffee via electricity? We’re happy with the product or we wouldn’t have purchased a second one of the same exact type eight years after the first one.

Great, well-built grinder. Perfect for two cups, adjustable grind, window in the side of the bottom half shows you how full the ground section is. Comes with a cute nylon carrying bag and has a nice feel to it.

As you can guess from how tall and skinny it is, it tends to tip over if you have the handle attached.

Stopped effectively grinding after about 15 months of sporadic use. Worth it to spend more on a product that lasts. Also, its thin, sleek design makes it challenging to grip while grinding. I added a thick rubber band around it to be able to hold onto it without having to squeeze so tightly.

You definitely get an arm workout, but it’s consistent once you find a grind size that works for your needs. For the price I purchased this, the value is great!

I used this grinder for a few years and i enjoyed it. For being on a budget, this grinder is affordable. The downside is that mine stopped working after 2 years. I think it probably had some moisture in it after washing it and had an electric short which caused it to stop working.

This grinder has to be washed carefully and dried completely in order to be used. In general, i bought a different grinder brand that is the same type of grinder that has worked for me for a lot longer than this one.

Also, now that i know more about coffee, i wouldnt use this for coffee beans because this actually chops the beans into little bits and there are many flaws to this technique. It will generate a lot of heat which can burn the beans and alter their flavor.

Further, in order to get espresso grinds, it requires more blending time which produces more fines which causes channeling and over extraction issues when making espresso. Overall, i think this can be a good beginner and budget option, but if you’re serious about coffee, something like this is not meant for coffee.

My future grinder that i want is going to be a burr style grinder which crushes the beans and will make better grinds for coffee.

I love this little workhorse! I’ve had mine for about 25-30 years now. I’ve used it for spices and coffee grinding. It’s been with me through 8 moves around the country. I’m writing this review because I recently went to use it and it had seized up.

I tried various cleaning methods that didn’t work. I thought she was gone. I bought a new one (another brand). Then decided to give it one last shot —— I sprayed rubbing alcohol all around the blade – let it sit – moved it around in both directions by hand – still tight- tried a second time — boom! I felt it break free!!! It was moving smooth as silk! Plugged it in —- WORKS GREAT AGAIN!!!.

I love coffee! When the pandemic hit Costco shutdown their grinders, so I needed to purchase one. I read reviews and this was the one recommended. I was shocked my local grocery store had it. This is a very nice grinder that I can easily put 3/4 cup of beans and it grinds down no problem.

Sometimes the 3/4 cup is pushing 1 cup and might overload the machine, I will shake it to help the machine out during the grinding process. When you overload it, tilt the machine into a container so that you do not lose any perish coffee grinds.

I use this weekly for 1 year now and no issues with it and mind you I am rough on this machine.

I received this grinder as a Christmas gift, but I had pre-selected it. I use a French press, and I thought it would be nice to have fresh ground beans, but I underestimated how much effort it takes to grind coffee beans by hand! I thought that when I did my research, it said that you could easily change the type of grind, depending on your brewing method, but I have not been successful in changing the grind since I received it.

Unfortunately, I have only used it a handful of times because it is much more work than I had initially anticipated. This product is for someone that lives off the grid without power or has countless hours in the day to grind coffee beans.

It’s a overall build quality and design are very good. Only problem I’ve had is the cranking handle finger nut keeps coming loose. I corrected it by adding a flat, then lock washer where the handle connects to the tool.

This is a great little hand coffee grinder. It takes a couple minutes to grind the amount we use on a daily basis and its easy to clean. Love that the ground coffee doesn’t stick to the container from static electricity like it does in the electric grinders.

This grinder seems to be quite well made from high quality materials, but I’ve been having trouble learning how to use it correctly. I bought it in a bundle with an Aeropress, and I’ve been finding it quite difficult to achieve the correct grind.

I watched the Alternative Brewing Video on YouTube about how to find the zero point, but for some unknown reason, when I attempt the demonstrated method of finding the “Zero Point” point, (where the grinding handle falls), I can’t find it.

Even when the ceramic burrs are completely removed, the handle stays stubbornly up. I have tried everything, including completely dismantling and reassembling the device, but nothing seems to work. I have now been trying to adjust the grind by ******** the adjustment nut as far down as possible, and then unscrewing it one full turn at a time, trying out the grind, and just working by trial and error.

The demonstration video makes it look so easy, but my experience unfortunately does not match the video. Maybe the grinder is faulty, but the mechanism seems so simple, I really can’t see what could be wrong with it.

I am now considering purchasing a different brand of grinder, but I would first like to see if there is any way I could fix my problem.

I bought this grinder as an upgrade to my trusty Hario grinder, but it’s not lived up to the expectations whatsoever. A list of the problems I’ve had to date: 1) Handle was incredibly squeaky upon purchase and had to oil it 2) Handle is so weighted that the grinder topples over any chance it gets 3) The basket is interference fit with the grinder body (poorly) so it slips off and you have to squeeze it tightly to keep it on 4) The top burr is ceramic and fits against plastic which wore away and now spins around with the bottom burr unless the grind setting is on very fine, this also caused large chunks of coffee bean through around the outside – I’ve had to glue it into place now A few pros: 1) It’s quiet in comparison to the Hario which is good for using at work 2) Less effort to grind (especially on the fine setting) 3) Looks and feels good quality.

I would not recommend, at all. I’ve not had an issue with the handle attachment, but I’ve read a lot of reviews that have said theirs have snapped off the Hex fitting.

a great grinder, but u have to hold the bottom against something, otherwise the bottom just falls off and all your ground coffee spills??? im honestly quite disappointed, for the price, i dont think its too much to ask for the grinder to not fall apart.

This makes a great coffee bean grinder. I used 4 scoops to get my 2 full tablespoons of medium ground coffee. I keep on medium setting for medium roast beans. It’s so nice to do it fresh, organic, and it really does look and taste different from coffee that’s already packaged and ground.

This is nice to have but you do have to be mindful when operating it and cleaning it. If you use dark oily coffee beans you really need to clean the burrs well or it’ll stick around it and the manual tells you everything including this machine is tested out before it gets shipped to ensure it does work.

I can tell it’s brand new though, as stated. I got the stainless finish $99 but don’t hold back on the price if you can go up a notch to the more durable stainless steel finish which is even prettier and darker but I still like mine it’s light and will match my white Braun brew-sense coffeemaker I also got from QVC.

I’ve been wanting to grind my own beans for a long time esp since much sold in stores is whole bean coffee and it happens to be the better kind you really want to try so think about that and you’re getting more nutrition and antioxidants out of every cup so it’s actually an investment into your own body & health.

There were no defects found in this grinder, it works smooth, quiet, easy and it’s fun to use! Read the manual- it’s not that long and you’ll be happy! Enjoy!.

I owned a previous model for many years until the plastic top broke. I decided to spluge on the stainless model partially to match the new appliances in my remodeled kitchen and also because I needed a new one and liked this model.

I have owned this stainless model for several years. The pros are that it grinds the coffee beans very well and the weight of the unit is heavy, making it quite sturdy. The cons are how difficult it is to clean.

There is no good way to get the unit totally free of ground and oil. Also the plastic top is flimsy. It is difficult to reseat after taking it off to clean. The tabs have to sit correctly in the slots to align the red dots up in order for the top to be secure and to position it to the desired grind level.

The problem is after the unit has been regularly used after some time it is hard to settle the top in correctly – it has to be level in order to slide it into place. Any exertion required may and can break off the plastic tabs.

Which is what happened to me recently. Fortunately it was just a corner so I can continue to use the grinder. And common sense dictates the top container needs to be empty or beans will pour out onto the counter.

In sum the unit is overpriced as its reliability diminishes over time. I will replace this unit with another brand when the tabs of the plastic top finally break off. I would only reccomend buying this unit at a much lower price.

Even at WS’s discounted price, it is too high.

This was given as a gift. When the recipient lifted it out of the box, the drawer fell out onto the floor causing the drawer face w/knob to break off. I was able to fix/reglue it, but that first impression of cheap construction was dismaying.

You’d think a bit of packaging forethought could have prevented this.

The weight and size of the flywheel makes grinding coffee beans much easier than when done on hand held size grinders, and adjustments are lockable. Friction points have holes that invite a drop of lubricating oil.

Bought this as a gift for my partner and he loves it! He says it looks great and the quality of his coffee has improved greatly since starting to use it. We use it with the Yama Silverton Coffee Dripper.

Love this grinder. Grinds the beans perfectly for cold brew. Looks fantastic too 😉

Pro: 1. It is a true burr grinder. 2. Looks impressive. Cons: 1. Measuring the quantity of coffee using a “timer” simply DOES NOT work. 2. Makes a mess even when working properly. 3. Clear “storage” hopper on top separated completely from lower threaded black plastic portion that screws into motorized base.

It was glued together with a spotty bead of glue. This resulted in spilling beans everywhere. Note: The grind is adjusted to finer settings by turning it clockwise, and coarser turning it counter/anti-clockwise.

4. Draws power continually unless the clear storage hopper is rotated counter/anti-clockwise enough to completely disengage it. 5. Clear storage hopper is not vacuum sealed. 6. Difficult to completely empty the ground coffee from the receptacle.

7. Difficult to clean. We keep our coffee beans stored separately. This is so we can keep our varieties sealed and fresh and so that we can precisely measure what we intend to brew and can hear when the beans are completely ground.

If used as I just described it is functional, but barely so. Which is why I gave it 2-stars rather than 1-star. I do not recommend this product.

Works well, grind selection is fine, uniformity of grind is very good. A bit noisy but not unusual for burr type grinders. Overall a good choice at a nice price point for household use. Only issue was the coffee holder (clear) had broken away from the insert funnel (black).

Presumably in shipping? Mr Coffee does not have replacement parts so. a little glue (Goop in this case) and let it sit for 24hrs for the volatiles to dissipate and it works fine. Burr grinders tend to develop a lot of static ‘cling’ which can cause the grinds to fly around a bit when disbursing from the grind holder.

We simply pour them out thru the rectangular hole (without removing the lid) into a 1 pint seal-able container and use them from there (a tablespoon sized scoop will usually fit in such a container – think 15oz empty Smart Balance tub).

Let’s be clear, the grind is great and consistent. However, the two big issues are the mess that is made and the sound. Transferring the grounds from the canister to my vacuum seal container without making a mess is futile.

Oh, and it is sooo loud! Granted, I’m not a morning bird, but even mu morning bird spouse finds it close to an aircraft jet. Returning this and hunting for something easier to clean up and no where near as loud.
