20 Best Greens Powder For Smoothies (2023 Updated)

I’m not a nutritionist or a health expert. I randomly decided to try something different because regular vitamins seemed useless. I bought two containers of the organic greens because they were affordable.

And based on my experience using it for two weeks, I notice a lot less mental fatigue during my early hours at work. This could be nothing more than the placebo effect, but whatever it is I’ll continue buying this product in the future.

I’m not even using the full recommended dosage. I started with only half a scoop and it’s working fine for now.

I recently bought an 8. 57 oz jar of organic greens and upon opening, was immediately disappointed to see that the design of the jar and scoop is completely flawed and not well thought out. You have a container that is roughly 8-9 inches tall but only filled with maybe 3-4 inches of product which means you have to stick your hand inside the container to scoop out in product.

The problem with that is, a grown man cant fit his hand inside of the container because the opening is too small in diameter. Well you’d think they’d compensate for that by including a scoop with a long handle; nope the scoop has a handle thats maybe 2 inches long and so its still a struggle to reach the product since my hand wont fit inside of it.

With all the wasted plastic used in the design of the jar thats containing nothing but air, they could of probably spared some to make a scoop with a longer handle or just eliminate half the size of the jar.

Terrible design. Sure i could use a spoon to reach the product (and in this case, I have to) but thats beside the point. Im sure the argument is that its packaged by volume and the product settles but i buy similar products of the same volume and its packaged in containers nearly half the size of yours and include a scoop with a handle long enough to reach the bottom without having to try and squeeze my hand inside of the jar.

Its a pretty simple concept.

It doesnt taste like much. The flavor is so underwhelming that ud have no idea it was in a smoothie consisting of literally anything eles besides water or milk. Which makes it totally blendable. It doesnt add thickness either just a bit gritty.

I’d say it adds character. I have noticed I’m more alert. Sharper focus. Could just be that I needed a green kick. Doesnt upset my stomach at all. At 30 cals I’d say it would probably break a long fast but I only fast from 9pm tp 3pm the following day.

I drink one scoop of this and one scoop of amazing grass chocolate in water with my vitamin b complex around 10am. I feel it evens me out and I get a kick start like a cup o Joe. I dont feel it breaks my fast but your opinion and calorie restrictions are your own.

All in all I recommend for the phytonutrients and healthy gut bug food.

Overall I am satisfied with this product. The ingredients are a combination of many nutrients that is hard to find within one product. The downside is the flavor. It does not taste great. The chocolate flavor is very subtle.

I understand however, greens in powder form are not meant to taste like candy, or a fruit smoothie. It’s a trade off to get the health benefits you need. The greens flavor is easy to mask by adding banana or yogurt, then you will have a healthy balanced treat.

After my first dose, I felt a little burst of energy. It is easily dissolvable in water or other liquids. I plan to buy again to easily get complete nutrients each day. Satisfied!.

I have been using these super greens for over a month now (mixing with almond milk or putting into a smoothie/acai bowl). I have a significant increase in energy and my digestive health has truly never been better.

The powder mixes very well and has a bit of an earthy taste but is delicious and I love the chocolate flavoring. I am a huge fan!.

I bought this to start making me a green smoothie for my morning snack & sneak in some vegetable servings in my daily intake. I add a serving of spinach, a kiwi (w skin), frozen pineapple & frozen Mango + a tsp of super green mix & coconut milk.

I had been feeling a bit sluggish. After almost a month, I’ve noticed my stomach is flatter, can even see my abs a bit, I used to get bloated & gassy in the evenings & that’s pretty much gone. My skin looks clearer.

Most greens powder blends on the market contain goji berries and tomato, and I am terribly allergic to nighstshades so I must avoid them. I have decided to mix my own greens powder but that has been a challenge because so much of the singular greens powders on the market are cross contaminated with my allergens or just plain unavailable in organic options.

I actually like the taste of this kale powder mixed with the collagen, lemon juice, pink salt, filtered water, triphala, glutamine, and malic acid powder I take daily; I hope to add a variety of other greens to the mix soon.

I feel good after I drink down my green drink. This kale powder seems pretty darn fresh and vital for a powder, and it tastes like kale. I will definitely adjust my rating if I experience a need to do so, but so far, so good.

I could not find a better price anywhere else, so that was a nice bonus.

I was looking for a new green meal after the shaming I received from the owner of a competitor product in Santa Barbara. I finally found what I have been looking for and I don’t have to answer his twenty questions about why I stopped using his product.

Now, to the present. The Perfect Food Green Superfood ORIGINAL is a wonderful tasting mix of a total green goodness! Here is how I prepare mine. I use 4 oz apple juice, 4 oz cold water, one freshly cut Envy apple, and one banana.

I add 1. 5 scoops of the mix and blend with a Nutri Bullet and the result is a slightly thick blend, depending on how ripe the banana or not ripe in my case. The resulting smoothie/meal is so dense, has just right amount of sweetness.

You can definitely chew on the smoothie before swallowing and the chewing actually slows down the eating process so I can enjoy my smoothie just a little longer. Love the product, perfect for me. I only wish I had found you sooner!.

Please manage your expectation with regards to the taste. Once that’s out of the way, you’re home free. I also won’t recommend taking it on its own or with water; yuck. I personally add a scoop to my unsweetened almond milk, vanilla protein shake, half a frozen banana and sometimes half an organic date.

I blend everything and I have the most delicious concoction. Ha ha! Guess who feels energized and does an effortless number 2? Yeah, me!.

I was looking for a fruit and greens supplement because I don’t always eat enough fruits and vegetables especially in the winter months. I found that it has all the supplemental fruits and greens that I need and more! All I need is to mix with 8oz of my favorite drink.

There is a slight taste of what I call “tea” to the powder but I drink it with my cranberry juice or apple juice and it doesn’t alter the flavor of the juice. I feel great and have more energy too! The product was a great buy and arrived quickly which was nice! I am so glad I found Garden of life! Now there is no need to pay more for a similar product & no need to swallow 9 capsules a day with less ingredients.

This product has most of it’s greens from juices. Dried greens are an estimated 5 times the concentration of the fresh. Dried JUICES are considered to be 5 times more concentrated than dried greens! So a scoop of this has SO much more nutrients than other dried greens brands.

Also; they have part of the many sprouts in fermented form, that is considered even easier to absorb. As for fruits, there is not much – some cherry extract and tomato (yes, it’s a fruit) Etc. but I buy this to cover for lacking greens in my diet.

It also has an added load of probiotics. It is a green tasting powder – do not expect a milk shake here! 😅 But it is mild enough to throw in any smoothie without ruining the taste. If I REALLY want ensure it does not change my smoothie flavor, I use a teaspoonful instead – that also ensures my strawberry shake does not turn all green! – and as I know from above how concentrated it is, I am sure I am still getting a LOAD of greens in, without even noticing.

Finally; I am happy that is mostly organic, and I trust Garden of Life to ensure that even the few non-organic items are as clean as possible.

This product tastes like fresh cut yard grass. While not all that bad, it is definitely not the most pleasant of tastes. It has me planning exactly when I am going to consume my “Daily Super Greens”.

I do believe that the Profile of the makeup of the product to be one of the Best I have come across and for the next 120 days, minus the days since i started using it, I will gladly consume the portion that I am suppose to.

After that I will look for something a bit more palatable!.

This is a nice product, and I am grateful that it comes in unsweetened because I like to combine it with the Reds powder which is already sweetened. I make a green smoothie every morning, but if I don’t have time to do so, if I’m traveling, or if I run out of lettuce, etc.

I’ll use a scoop of this instead.

Tolerably flavored, well rounded greens powder. My favorite one so far 😀 It’s a greens powder – not the most exciting, but I appreciate it because it does make it a bit easier for me to get some additional nutrition in my diet fairly easily.

The powder is very fine, and flavor-wise it’s definitely the best tasting greens powder I’ve found so far. Does that mean it tastes great? Well, not to me to be honest, but no greens powders I’ve tried have tasted good, and some of them are frankly intolerable.

This one is undetectable in a smoothie (not all of them are) and very drinkable with a glass of orange juice. It’s not too bad just dissolved in water, although that’s not my favorite way of drinking it.

Overall, I’m very happy with it, and I definitely like the convenience of the subscription model.

I ordered the greens and probiotics with prebiotic powder. Though these powders tasted good and I would drink them every day, I realized I wasn’t feeling my best. These powders made me constipated. I didn’t go to the bathroom for a month while taking these.

I did not realize it was the powders making me constipated (as I thought they would have the opposite effect) until I cut out everything else and nothing changed. I finally stopped drinking the powders and went back to normal.

I am sad because I really wanted to enjoy these powders with all the benefits they come with but now I am unsure of what is really in these powders.

I have to admit I wasn’t a fan of this powder with just a small amount of water. The taste is overwhelming chalky and it tastes healthy! I’m not used to green powders. HOWEVER, I put it in a smoothie that also had spinach, almond milk, a banana, vanilla flavored plant-based protein powder with some ice and the green powder SHONE through.

The orange taste tied all of the other flavors together and it tastes like the secret ingredient that was missing all along is the greens. I feel great after drinking it and I’m happy that I’m getting my vegetables.

We are previous owners of a health food full line store so we know what these products can do. Sometimes skeptical since there are so many that claim they can change things but what I was looking for this seemed to outline perfect.

I wasn’t looking for a whole food green drink but rather something with anti stress, anxiety and support so I could possibly reduce the amount of other supplements I have been taking. Started the Green Juice on a Friday Night and even by the next afternoon noticed a great difference.

Slept well through the evening (and every night since then, been almost 2 weeks now). I have shaved off a modest amount of supplements so far and since then have subscribed to the Red and Gold as well.

Started those this past Friday and although still have great sleep and energy all day I am thinking it might have been a little much for me all at once. I had been on the 3 times a day with the green then switched over.

I took these for over six months, every morning alternating each day between he two. My husband and I both use this every day in place of a smoothie we used to drink. This supplement is less expensive and easier to drink. I mix it with coconut water and some banana or apple slices and mix in my blender.

Taste is good, mildly sweet. It helps with digestion and our energy level. y husband has MCI so we are hoping it helps with that as well in the long term. An easy was to get more fruit and veggies.

The goji berries ingredient in your Neuro Greens product may cause my blood pressure to go down too low; so as a precaution, I’m not taking your product during the few days before and the few days after having my first Covid vaccine.

( My doctor recommended I take care of myself in this way. ) In conjunction with some other herbal supplements that I am regularly taking, I may not feel comfortable enough to add your product to my daily regimen, since the herbs seem to be causing me enough lowering of my already low/ normal blood pressure.

I have been using green food powders for over 40 years, the same one for the past 20 years. I found this one through a review on Amazon and decided to try it. Vitacost has a lower price, so I purchased it here and I’m so glad I did.

It is only $2 more than the one I’ve been using, but the differences are huge. First, the powder is super finely ground so that it completely dissolves in water. That’s right, I only used water because, secondly, the wild berry flavor is smooth and sweet – not overly sickly sweet, but just enough that I can drink this in water and not juice.

It was just like drinking a glass of cold water without anything in it – no grit at all – amazing. I’ve never tried any other green drink that didn’t have any grit to it. Some worse than others, but this one has none! Another reason I chose this green powder is that it is sweetened with monk fruit vs.

stevia or any other sweetener. Stevia tends to be bitter where, monk fruit is not.

I just finished my first container of Raw Greens whole food powder wild berry flavor and I loved it! I’ve already purchased 2 more. I love the added bonus of the digestive enzymes and probiotics, so this will be my go-to green’s in the future.

This is a little strange when mixed in water. It has a strange kind of grainy or chalky texture. It may be fine mixed in yogurt or other things. I usually use another kind of greens that are out of stock now, so I tried these.

I have used other brands in the past as well. I usually just mix them with vitamin c and water, and have liked that combination, but this brand has a strange texture. Also, this is maybe petty, but I will say this: when you open the jar, it is less than half full.

I saw someone else complain about that in a review also. While this doesn’t reflect on the quality of the product itself, it is wasteful, if nothing else I don’t know why you would create a package that’s that much larger than is needed, other than that it makes the buyer think they are getting more than they are.

I will not purchase again. There are enough other brands that I like and that are a better value.

I ordered this in bulk until they changed the recipe. The update had an aftertaste. it seemed they did a new “recipe” just so they could brand it that way and repackage with a MAJOR drop in servings per container — 45 down 30 — without changing the price.

It wasnt clever marketing and it ruined a great product that kids and adults in my family and friends families loved. I am pretty frugal and I actually wouldve still bought the old recipe even with the reduced servings because it WAS that good.

I LOVE this stuff. I found that drinking this mixed with my low-carb lactose free chocolate milk is sooooo good! I have also learned that if I drink a glass of this while I’m cooking dinner, I don’t eat NEAR as much at night (which is good because I get home late and don’t need to eat much anyway), AND I don’t crave something sweet after I eat either.

I also stay pretty bloated, and this stuff helps to keep my belly bloat down. I’m tellin’ ya. I love it. I am very happy with this product. I have also tried it like hot chocolate and was NOT a fan; I thought it was a bit too earthy.

The serving size for Country Farms Super Greens is 15 grams. Scoops use a measure of cubic centimeters (CC) which is the amount of the area of the scoop NOT GRAMS or how much it can hold as different powders take up more area than others.

Example: Protein powders are more dense than other powders so 15 grams of protein powder will use a BIGGER (CC) SCOOP. To prove this get a digital kitchen scale (I did) that has a setting for GRAMs (G).

Put an empty scoop on the scale turn scale on it should read zero if not press TEAR (T) this will reset to zero. Now scoop some powder and place on scale. You should get a weight any where between 13 and 17 grams as each person scoops different.

I don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables in my diet. So I looked into a powder with both in it. Over the handful I researched this one was the winner. I received it in 2 days from ordering. The taste is great, not bitter or too sweet.

I do taste a hint of banana, which is great. Good size for 1 person. I mix with water and add chlorophyll. I’m happy with this. And yes there is a little gritty texture. But WHO CARES! It’s gonna be chugged anyways.

Amazing grass superfood is just that. Amazing. this packet is full of essential greens that most people do not consume on a regular basis. I am not the cleanest eater so this is perfect for me. I find the taste of the original to be the most tolerable of even the flavored ones.

The taste is a tad bitter at first, as you are consuming ingredients such as wheat grass, barley grass, alfalfa, spirulina, spinach, chlorella and broccoli. Ive gotten accustomed to the taste an take mine with only water.

to get your “Daily Green”! This is so user-friendly. I wish it came in 30- or 60-packet sizes. The powder-in-a-jar stuff is great, but it’s kind of messy to use. The product itself is super – a great energizing and alkalizing agent, and I really have become fond of it.

Miss it when I don’t have time to scoop-and-measure, which makes the packets all that much more desirable – I travel a lot, so these are ideal.

I’ve been struggling with inflammatory and cystic acne for the past few years (I’m 24). Countless visits to the dermatologist, money spent on medical grade and over the counter products. nothing really seemed to “cure” my acne.
