20 Best Graphite Shafts For Drivers (2023 Updated)

The shaft on my Mavrik Calloway Driver snapped and I immediately took it to Golf Galaxy, I have always had superb service but this was a disaster. I was told that they had no Calloway Shafts but they could replace it with a similar one that should work fine.

Your people are extra nice so not the issue. Bottom line, this shaft resulted in about a 25 yard loss in distance, tried it out on launch monitor and saw this but could not believe it, tried it out at my own club and the same.

I would have never purchased this if I had known it would have been such a dramatic difference.

I purchased a brand new driver shaft. I had Dicks In Mt. Pleasant, MI. install it into the head of my $300 Callaway driver. I had it two weeks or less and only golfed 2 times and on the 15th hole at The Crown in Traverse City, MI.

the club head flew off into the swamp and was lost. Dicks did give me another driver to replace mine but I’m still out a significant amount of money. I paid over $70 to have the new shaft put on, the original price on my club was $300, after the head flew off due to poor installation I had to drive all the way from Traverse City back to Mt.

Pleasant to deal with the problem. The club I was given was on sale for I think $159. 00 approx. I’m still out well over $150. 00. I would of expected the repair to be refunded plus a better new driver and or $150.

00 gift card for all my time & trouble!! Not happy with the service, or the outcome of the situation which was totally the poor installation of a new golf club shaft.

I purchased this shaft over a year ago and have had wonderful results with it. I have gained several yards with this new Grafalloy ProLaunch Red. 335 shaft. Christian put this shaft on for me replacing a TaylorMade factory shaft that was cracked.

Somehow my previous review rating only showed (one Star). that was wrong and I had no way to correct it!! This is a FIVE Star shaft!.

I have tried literally dozens of high-end shafts and the Project X Hzrdus Smoke Black is the best! In my search for the ultimate shaft, I have even gone to the high-priced club fitting leaders and this shaft outperformed everything else they threw at me! On the course I am consistently hitting 80+% of the fairways and, when I do mis, it is not by much! The shaft is 10 to 15 yards longer than anything else I have tried.

This shaft says “low launch†but I find it to be more of a mid-launching shaft. I have it paired with a Callaway Rouge St driver set at 9. 5. My swing speed is 93 and I am playing a 5. 5 flex. I believe this shaft plays slightly stiffer than a normal 5.

5 flex. No shaft works for everyone, but for this price, you owe it to yourself to give it a try – for me, it was the best money I have spent on golf improvement!.

This is a good profile and a shame that Project X no longer produces it. Its basically a Black with a slightly softer tip. Its still no where near whippy or soft, and the more active tip is just barely there.

This is perfect for those who love the stable feel of the Black but want a slightly higher launch. The flex on these play about a 1/2 to a full step firmer. 5. 5 feels more stiff than MCA or GD’s S+, and 6.

0 is closer to X. This will also make a good fairway shaft for those who game the Black with their driver.

This shaft feels very close to the stock shaft at the tip. I expected it to feel more boardy. It does not. My grouping is much tighter, and if i have an error, a slight push. Releases very progressively.

Just slightly lower ball height. Cannot really tell difference in yardage yet. I have not played with my normal playing partner yet who is normally about 10 yards ahead of me. I feel i am longer. My playing partners have commented for the past several weeks how well I am hitting my driver.

It rarely costs me strokes.

Great shaft, great looks, wish it was just a few grams more. Second shaft I’ve purchased in the black, one for my fairway wood, one for driver. Third one on the way

I was already playing and happy with the Evenflow White 6. 5, but wanted to give this a try. I am very impressed with the similar smooth feel of the Evenflow along with a nicer kick through impact. It’s slightly higher launch without any added spin.

A really great shaft!.

I’m nearing 70 and slender in build. I’ve been playing regularly for about 5 years. Play a TM M5 10. 5 and got fitted for the weight positions. The Tiger position worked best for me. One weight center back, one weight fade.

Came with a Fujikura Atmos Orange 50 A-Flex. Kept losing left. Went to a Tensei Red 50 A-Flex which was straighter, but launched too high. The Aldila NVS Orange 55 A-Flex suits me well. Better feel, slight fade ball flight, not too high so I picked up some yards on the run out.

Well recommended.

I replaced my driver and 3 hyb shafts with these I am in love! 3 hyb is a. 370 85g shaft, not the. 335 but still the same make-up. These shafts provide effortless power and excellent distance. I would easily recommend this to anywho who wants to make all driver, wood, or hybrid shaft the same for similar feel.

I recently purchased the Mamiya Gold 65 to go into my favourite R11 driver head and combined with new counter balance weights (10g heel/ 12g toe). The difference in control and distance was surprising, providing a real kick through at impact.

I’ve yet to try it on the range and on the launch monitor, so swing speed and yardage could be 95-109mph. Whether I would derive further gains with a new driver I’m unsure, but for the price of a replacement shaft of this quality, it feels and plays like a new club.

THis has got to be one of the most stable Stiff flex shafts I have played. It really isn’t that stiff and plays more like a stiff/Regular. I have used this shaft for many years and haven’t found one to better it.

( For Me !!).

This is a very good shaft. Mid Flex, stiff. First time out to practice, I hit drives straight and long. Highly recommend.

Installed the shaft in a 3/4 Cobra Hybrid. Set it at 19* and it is a great fit for me. Love the kick point and from 185 to 200 yards able to reach greens that were out of reach before. Us seniors dont hit it as far as we once did.

The Aldila NVS has been around for some time, but thankfully, they’re still available at a low price point. I figured I wouldn’t be out that much if they didn’t work for me, but I ended up with a great shaft for my swing speed with the added bonus of not having to spend a fortune.

I’m such a big fan of these, I now have these on my driver, two fairway woods, and my hybrid. The NVS is a great shaft with a nice kick if you’re not a really hard swinger.

Put these on Titleist fairway woods and for me, they go far and straight! The shafts feel good, I swing back slow, drop the club a little when it’s back and then swing; 235-yd for a 3W. Got another pair for my older TaylorMade Burner SuperFast fairway woods.

I fitted this shaft to replace the regular shaft. In one of my drivers as I seemed to be losing distance off the tee (I am 73 years old). The club now feels much more responsive off the tee and I have regained the 20 yards of distance I had lost.

Very satisfied indeed. For very little outlay I have saved hundreds of euros on replacing my driver.

When needed to replace my Ping G 30 driver shaft, I decided it was probably time to acknowledge my advancing years (73)! I therefore chose the Acer Velocity Senior shaft. I have now used this for 3 rounds and I am delighted with the result.

I am hitting the ball longer and straighter and feel I have more feel through the shaft. Would, and have, recommended Nordicagolf to my golfing buddies. The service was great – the shaft was delivered as promised.

Bought this for my brother in law. Put a Ping sleeve on it. Gripped it and put in his G head. Easily 20 yards more on first swing. Adjusted loft a bit and I couldn’t get him to stop smiling. Specs close to the Ping ultra lite and Alta senior.

The Mitsubishi Tensei Blue is a very solid shaft that performs very well. I normally hit a stiff shaft but I ordered this one in Regular and it does just fine, no ballooning or hard snapper-roos to the left.

The tip is pretty stiff but the mid section has a very good kick to it and also has a very buttery feel to it, as again it has great control but also has a great feel. When you look at the shaft looks like it has four different sections to it, tip, lower mid, upper mid, and butt, and each one has it’s own purpose.

Bottom line to me this is one of the best shafts that Mitsubishi has ever made and for the price you cannot go wrong.

Be careful what year Driver Head you are expecting to install on this shaft, because the Tip is for the 2017 version M drivers and is a bit different from 2016 versions. If fits and is usable but difficult to get it to your specific loft.

Great product. Very light weight, and the ball flies straight. Very workable, both draw and fade.

This came as the original shaft on my Ping G410 driver. Overall, I hit it pretty well with good distance and accuracy. I probably only swung the club 150 times between the range and course play when it broke.

For what was supposed to be a decent shaft, I was not pleased with the durability.

I bought this a month ago and the tip came apart and the head of my driver came off. The head hit the cart path and scratched the new head of my Maverick Driver. It awas assembled at Golf Galaxy and it was not cheap.

I actually like the shaft but didn’t get to use it very long. I had it put together Dec 20th, I’m just a little disappointed.

I really enjoy this shaft. I put this shaft on a Ping G25 driver head, and it completely changed my driving for the better. Before this shaft, I was incompetent off of the tee, and now it is better.

these are the best hybrids around have tried so many ,my handicap is coming down ,now all my clubs are acer xds hybrids would not go back to normal irons thanks acer and nordicagolf

I bought the 6 and aw just to test . As somebody who shanks I nearly packed the game in. I’m buying the full set it’s impossible to shank these clubs!

Excellent feel, gives confidence with a larger sweet spot than the average iron.

Came exactly as ordered and described. Medium to light weight for a hybrid. Usually like something that feels like a war club but this somehow feels heavier while swinging than it does just holding the club at address.

Great flight trajectory and you can hit it higher or lower as needed. The ball seems to just float the entire distance and land softer but it still has a penetrating trajectory. Amazing feel at impact compared to the stock fujikura pro that was in my M1 hybrid.

Just seems like it’s smashing the ball rather than just meeting it. Shaft came with the m1 tip installed and precut to length so that was a huge time and money saver for me. Just installed a grip and bolted the head on.

Played it and hour after I got the shaft in the mail. If you’re wanting a premium shaft upgrade for a hybrid then I highly suggest this over many other brands. Look aroond and you’ll find one for a nice price like I did.

And if you find it get it before someone else does.

This is a very steady golf shaft. Launches easy but hard to overpower it. I am very happy with the quality and the price on this shaft. First time out i shot my 2nd best overall score and best for that particular course.

Not really thanks to the shaft as i only hit it 3 times. I seemed to have gained some distance with swinging easier, but i had a steel shaft in my 3hy previously so that is to be expected. Also looks fantastic.

Overall just 2 thumbs up!.

I bought my first Tour AD DI shaft back in the spring for my driver. For me, this shaft works extremely well. I now have it in all my woods and hybrids.
