20 Best Goggles For Jet Ski (2023 Updated)

The goggles themselves are great quality and fit well. Anti-fog works well too. They will fog up if you put your goggles over your face cover in very cold temperature, but that is expected as the air you are breathing out stays inside the goggles.

The reason I am only giving it 4 stars is due to the inaccurate information on the Altitude Sports product page. The page says that the lens colour is grey and the light transmission is 10%. The lens colour information is obviously wrong as the goggles have persimmon lenses.

The light transmission information is also very inaccurate. The label on the goggles is S1 which indicates light transmission of 43% to 80%, so if you are looking for goggles with low light transmission, these ones are NOT for you.

They are OK for cloudy days or the occasionally sunny day, but if you are going to be skiing on consecutive sunny days, it is best to get darker lenses. Altitude Sports should change the inaccurate product information.

I like them just spend 1100 miles in 6 days clear vision with these goggles. I ride a lot on my motorcycles by the Gulf in Florida. they cut back on glare off the water. Guys joked about them then they looked and where surprised.

a Smaller styles with same product would be cool you might get some new sales. What I liked best no air around the eyes which with bugs pollen is fantastic.

Oakley classified this goggle as XM meaning medium size fit. This is overly generous description. Frame will not accommodate wearing glasses , interior space is small. Should not be classified as OTG , frame and lens is best suited for small face or youngsters.

Better to consider the XL model for average size human head. Yellow lens is really night vision or slightly overcast conditions. Dark grey is plenty dark. Still Oakley quality.

Out of the box I was excited to check out the new magnetic lens system but was immediately disappointed to see that the front lens was separated from the gasket that sandwiched between it and the back lens.

I pressed them back together but they came apart again while making a lens change. Worse yet, it wasn’t just the lens that came on the goggle, but all three lenses that I purchased. The two that came with the goggle and an additional one I bought separately.

This makes me question the integrity of the adhesive used. I expect that the seal will be poor resulting in quite a bit of fog and even moisture penetrating the air gap that’s meant to be between the lenses.

Overall, the look, fit and comfort of the goggle was great and the magnetic quick change excellent, but I can’t get past a lens failure of this nature. If that gets remedied, I would reconsider buying again.

These are easily the most well made goggles I’ve wore. The one and only issue is there are slight gaps between the sides of my nose and the foam. There could be a number of reasons why but I believe the lenses are so stiff they don’t allow the goggle the sit as form fitted as it could.

When putting my balaclava over my nose is seals it up. If not I have experienced very small amounts of snow getting into the lens. Luckily the lens is so incredibly easy to pop out and clean. Other than this one issue the goggles are perfect.

These are a great high quality pair of goggles. The blush is a super cute color that I have been getting lots of compliments on. These lens are a bit more brown than the photo and are very comfortable on the eyes on a sunny day.

The lens can be popped out really easily but harder to put back in. Perhaps Electric could make a tutorial video with tips on placing lenses back in. I have a smaller head and lower nose bridge than most people (asian female) and these Electric smalls fit really well.

There is not a nose gap and the goggles easily mold to my face without creating uncomfortable pressure on my cheeks. Highly recommend these goggles for people who have smaller faces and smaller noses.

These goggles pair well with my Smith Maze and I have noticed only minimal fogging after charging down the slopes.

Very high quality goggle, fits my face really well and looks good. The lenses are super easy to swap out and appear to be very high quality too. Only two minor complaints – one, there is a gap between the top of my Sweet Protection helmet and the goggle.

It is small but nonetheless a little annoying. This is not a fault of the google but I do wish there was some standard shape between goggles and helmets so that this was not a recurring issue between manufacturers.

Second, the goggle was packaged in such a way that the strap had folded the foam around the goggle, deforming it. Over time, it looks like it is slowly returning to normal shape.

These goggles are excellent. They fit well with both of my helmets and the magnetic lens swapping system is easy, I can swap lenses easily on the chairlift. The black lens works excellent on sunny spring days, which is what I got them for.

The extra lens works well as a low light lens but not quite as good as a yellow pair that I use on grey days. If you’re planning on storm riding these goggles consider buying a light or clear lens. I went for the black on black pair and I really appreciate the subtle touches like the patch or the pattern on the inside part of the strap.

The top of the goggles has a high quality material for venting that it’s typically foam which is a nice touch as well. Field of view with these goggles is also excellent, I’ve noticed that several goggle manufactures have made this improvement so this is not unique to this pair, but it’s worthy of noting.

I am wearing a large Bern helmet with Mips and have a pretty large face/helmet. If you have a smaller helmet you may find that these are too large. I encourage you to test with your helmet before ripping the tags off.

These goggles are absolute trash. I don’t know if I got a defective pair, but straight out of the box I was disappointed. The cushioning on your face is not that comfortable. The pair of goggles I bought 10 years ago for much cheaper were more comfortable.

Secondly, the frame design is very flimsy and is extremely difficult to put the lenses in. My final point is the lenses. The lense is clear and provides good vision, but the construction is sub par. My extra lense came busted straight out of the box, the two pieces weren’t sealed together.

After a few days of use my one good lense is already unusable. The channel that locks into place on the goggle is warped, and the two pieces are separated allowing air everywhere you don’t want it. Only buy these if you want to waste your money, time and not be able to see half way through the day.

I love that two lenses are included. The lens for brighter days is not a green tint like I thought it would be because it’s iridescent, but a yellow on the inside. The lens for sunny days is lighter, transparent yellow.

I like that I can wear my glasses over the goggles. Am excited to try them out this weekend! I’ll try to update.

Now don’t get me wrong. These are a nice pair of goggs maybe even a great pair considering the price. So I did in fact secure these. However I unfortunately did end up returning them. Not because they were trash, I just saw the Oakley Fall Lines on sale and said for only $100 more I can have possible the best in the game? Had to do it.

All respect to VZ though cause they out here making a gas pair of goggles for only 60ish bucks. Easy cop in my opinion.

Good Less expensive goggles, I have been trying to find a good goggle that fits with the smaller prescription glasses adapter I got from amazon and it has not been easy. lots of wasted money on different goggles( multiple oakley and ashbury and electric and dragon all would not fit) Obviously I have tried a lot of different expensive brands and these giro are by far the best! they are a good slim line goggle for a medium fit face an medium to dark light conditions but perfect for me and my application (I use them mostly when its shady or starting to be night but they performed good enough today with full sun exposure all day) also the least expensive goggle I have purchased all season.

I just took up snowboarding this winter and this is my first pair of goggles. I love having two lenses that I can swap out for different lighting needs, especially because I have been heading to the ski hill after work, so the yellow-tinted lens works great for night use.

Lenses are easy to swap out. I also wear glasses and these fit super comfortably over the top without pinching the sides of my face or causing anything to fog up. Definitely recommend keeping a microfiber lens wipe in the pouch though, because these things will hold onto your finger prints.

I recently purchased these goggles and tried them out the other day. They fit perfect, I love the colour of the lens, and they did a fantastic job of keeping the wind off of my face. My only issue is the strap doesn’t seem to extend very far, I’d like it a bit looser on my face but I am hoping the strap will expand over time.

Also, my goggles came with someone else’s hair wound in the elastic, and the box was ripped apart so if I could rate the packaging separately I would.

I am 15+ years Smith’s user (most recent I/Os), and I think I am becoming a huge Oakley fan. The final deciding factor for me was fit, since I think they are very comparable bands. I wanted better peripheral vision goggles and all larger Smith’s left a gap at my nose (tried even Asian fit, and I am not Asian).

The Oakley’s fit like a glove, and have an amazing field of view. I am one of those folks that don’t like changing lenses often, so I had 25 VLT lenses on my old pair, and barely changed them, so I had a bit of a concern with the rating of 15 VLT on the Oakley Iridium lens.

I was pleasantly surprised by the wide range of conditions they work well on, which was pretty comparable to my old lens, sun, overcast, afternoon overcast/flat light, up to light snow. I did get the Prizm Rose lens just in case, and the only time I had to use them was on a heavy snowy day (inch or so per hour).

Those are great lenses as well, for very large ranges, but you lose the wow factor of the iridium :-). Changing lense is not as easy as some other brands, but after a little practice it’s not that bad, but you will need a dry place if you don’t want to get prints all over your lens.

Prizm technology is great and really improves visibility and definition in flat light, and I can report no issues with fogging (I use them with a Smith helmet, which works really well with the Flight decks L).

Overall great goggles.

I was so excited to get my new googles. I wore them the day after getting them. I noticed that once I was on the top of mountain, ready to ski, my googleds fogged up almost immediately. I thought it would go away, but only got worse as the day progressed.

My fogged up goggles made it nearly impossible To see so I cut my day short. The next day I wore my goggles and the exact same thing happen, I was almost blind due to the intensity of the fogged lens.

I did call Oakley customer Service yesterday and was informed I would receive a. Brand New pair in the mail. I’m hopeful that this pair will work out better.

I like the thick foam and they fit my face well. Usually I would buy Asian fit goggles but Oakley’s regular goggles fit very similar which provide greater selections. I have always have fogging issue with all my goggles.

I think this coming season I will try to take them out and leave them air dry completely to see if that helps. The Prizm lenses are great, my go to lenses for all condition are Sapphire Iridium.

I have been saving to purchase goggles. Great fit eventhough my face is small. Suprised on how lens are so vivid and clear with the chroma technology. Able to change lenses so easily is definitely a plus when I am already very tired from shredding.

It is also great to know that I am able to buy multiple lenses when mine has been worn out or needed to be changed in the future. Straps are like other googles, quite easily configured. Only downside, it is quite pricey.

But I do feel I am getting the quality I paid for.

I was recently in the market for a new pair of goggles since the only pair I had were clear Smith goggles. I saw this and it looked cool and it was not super expensive. I got the green and blue tint goggles which look really clean.

They do a great job blocking out the sun, while not being too dark when looking around. Tint-wise, unless you are really close to someone and it is bright, you can see the person’s eyes. Other than that, they look like they are mirrored.

They are durable, and the elastic on the band that goes around your helmet keeps it from slipping, which was a problem with my old goggles. The green and blue lense are best for all-around skiing, while the red and yellow tint are more meant for bluebird days.

Only get one of these types of goggles if you already have some goggles for flat light or night skiing. They check all the boxes and I highly recommend them.

I have worn La Sportiva Wildcats since first training for my 2017 AT thru-hike. I have since traversed about 4,000 miles in various iterations of the shoe; first green, then orange, now I’m hiking in the blue ones.

The colors might change but the fit (for me), durability, and comfort have remained constant. These shoes have shuttled me up and down the 2200 miles of the AT, walked with me on 1000 year old Roman roads on the Camino in Spain, made it to over 14,000 feet on a mountain on a side trail while walking the Colorado Trail, and taken me on many other adventures.

Past the fit the thing I like best about the Wildcats is the durability. Unlike some other trail runners, I do not have to replace my shoes every 300 or so miles. In fact, I usually get closer to a thousand miles before I replace them.

Also, on the durability point is the fantastic toe guard – it is robust and comes up and over the toe so you don’t get that annoying flapping sole that you will experience with just about every other trail runner.

There are only two negatives for me. First is that the size only goes up to US 13. 5. If my feet ever change significantly and I need a larger size I would have to find a new shoe – BOO. Secondly, the shoe can be slick when climbing wet rock.

This made sections of the AT very slow-go. I will wear La Sportiva Wildcats until 1) My foot gets too big for them or 2) They change the design and it is no longer comfortable. Great shoe!.

I bought these goggles to replace a pair of Oakleys I’d been wearing. The Oakleys pushed down on my nose when worn with my helmet, so I wanted a pair that was flat on top, so my helmet didn’t push them down my face, pinch my nose and make it hard to talk.

These work well, as they’re not as big as the Oakleys. Lens is a bit darker so it’s a little harder to read the snow late in the day when the shadows get long, but by that point in the day, my legs are too tired to carve a turn anyway, so it’s all good.

Purchased for my 15 year old son. He says they are comfortable and do not fog at all. We skied in light rain in NC. Worked great with Smith helmet. Lenses are a bit dark for night skiing – as expected based on specs, but fine for overcast day.

Great price point.

Poor design for skiing and/or snowboarding. The anti-fog venting system located on the front of the lens allows water to enter the goggles on damp/snowy days. The water becomes trapped between the inner lens and the outer lens obscuring all vision.

Goggle size is also smaller than other ski/snowboard goggles, making them a bit uncomfortable when worn with a helmet.

Only a couple days on them so far, the lens tiny adjusts seamlessly from low light to bright days, but are still a bit dark for the last runs after sunset if there is no resort lighting. Still need a clear lens for night skiing.

I often pop the lenses forward accidentally when moving my goggles as the natural place to grab them with thick gloves is right where the lens tabs are. For the life of me I CANNOT get the lenses to snap back in place with the goggles on my face, I have to take them off basically every time.

It’s like the soft foam compresses and there isn’t enough counter pressure to snap into place. Pinching through the frame works but you can’t see the tiny tabs you must pinch while they’re on your face, and it feels impossible with thick gloves.

The features that actually hold the lens closed are also tiny and I do not expect them to last very long, I already feel like they are wearing down. If those features won’t grab in the future, the lenses will be flopping around unless you tape them on, but hopefully Julbo’s warranty would kick in.

Compared to my old cheap Smith goggles (like 5 years old and way cheaper), these feel less comfortable and the foam on my nose feels like it blocks more of my downward vision. I love my Julbo photochronic glacier glasses (wear them literally all day in all lighting conditions while mountaineering) so I’m glad to have similar quality lenses when I ski or board but the frame and venting mechanism leave room for improvement.

Hopefully I can figure out the quirks of using them but so far it’s been frustrating. I might try the Smith photochromic lenses if these don’t work out, but I heard those lenses are inferior and scratch super easy.

This goggle succeeds at the impossible. It does NOT fog. 1 hour long hikes or standing in the lift line after a strenuous runs. just pop the lense and, magic, NO fogging. Not to mention the photochromic lense really improves visual clarity in varying conditions.

I now have 2 pairs, the 2/4 and the 1/3 reactive. The 1/3 Reactive is probably a slightly better low light lense with a wider photochromic range. The 2/4, however, has some polarization, is probably better for bright sunny days, but also performs admirably when storm skiing.

This is the only goggle I will ever purchase from here forward!.

I like these goggles a lot and when used with a lightweight touring helmet like the Scott Couloir I can tour without removing my helmet or goggles. My one issue with these is that it is a pain to get the lens secured back into the frame.

Though they appear to be good, I can hear a fair amount of wind noise when moving fast. For better or worse, I don’t ski very fast downhill when touring so the noise isn’t bad, but definitely noticeable.

Maybe I need to stop and really make sure the lens is seated but I’d rather not have to take them off and fiddle.

Used this for a few ski trips now. I’ve been struggling with fogging this season and the extra lens venting on the Challenger does help, beside just looking cool. If you want to avoid fog, make sure your lens are completely sealed (no gaps around the nose or face) and don’t tuck your mask under your goggles.

I’ve already had one person ask my about my Glade goggles on the lift. I’ve used goggles from three major brands now and Glade performs just as well if not better than them. My only feature request is that Glade add some contrast enhancer tech to their already good optics.

Something that would help make bumps and moguls in the snow show up even more.

The reviews I read in Outside Magazine had me intrigued. I wanted to try frameless goggles to see if I could get better peripheral and lower vision. And I got exactly what I wanted with the Challenger goggles.

They fit great against my helmet too. Started out a bit heavy on my nose but that eased up as the day went on. Very, very happy with the purchase. Highly recommend them!.

These goggles are extremely comfortable. The lens is great, they don’t fog up, and they keep my face super warm. Highly recommend. Only downfall is that they did not come with a case or protective bag.

Great visual clarity on both sunny and overcast days. Surprisingly nice fit with my existing ski helmet (Pret). Overall very happy with the ways these perform.

I’m questioning the price of these googles. My $35 bolles from 2013 have a more solid build quality than these. The nfx2’s whole frame creaks and squeeks, the frame is weak or lack of frame around the nose part.

If you gently twist the whole googles in opposite directions, you will see the lens slightly popout. It was a very off-putting experience for me so i changed over to the dragon rvx goggles instead. With that said i think they should use the same swiftlock 2.

0 latch system from the dragon rvx googles to improve this model and do the same frame build quality. Otherwise the nfx2’s have great style, cool grippy silicone headbands, lens color choices are great, swapping lens is a great concept, the lenses offer great clarity with depth perception, and feel comfy on the face.

I do enjoy the sunny and low light lenes that come with the googles too! I would like to see this company do a collaboration with never summer. I feel like these two companies brand style and logo’s are like a match made in heaven.

I bought these for the upcoming season and after 6 days, I would say that I have been pretty disappointed. I really like the look of these goggles, they seem to be comfortable enough and I haven’t had any major fogging issues which are all good in my opinion.

HOWEVER, I really dislike the interface when changing the lenses and the overall quality of the lenses. the first thing I noticed is how flimsy the “latches” on the sides are and how inconveniently placed they are.

when putting on or taking my goggles off I have flipped one of those latches several times now resulting in the lens coming detached on one side. The second and even more critical issue that I have is that the lenses and the plastic chassis around them are very flimsy.

so much so that it warps slightly and doesn’t sit flush with the housing of the goggles. this leaves a gap between the housing and the lens itself and allows snow into the goggles from the top and bottom which makes them horrible for powder days.

Overall I like the look and comfort but dislike the performance.

I’ve seen some folks complaining that the lenses don’t lock into place properly. It’s a defective frame, and it looks like there were a number of them in 2021. I loved the goggles when I tried a pair of non-defective ones.

However, I contacted Dragon warranty and not only were they happy to replace them without me sending them in, they let me pick from the entire goggle lineup for a replacement. I put off warranty-ing them until now (Oct 2022), but I mailed them my info last week, and new PXV2s (I decided to go bigger) are already on their way.

I’m very happy with the outcome, saved the rainbow strap from the old ones for something else, and will write a review of the PXV2 when I try them out.
