Product is excellent and works great for our ranch. However, it wears out for us in two weeks. The tip is not replaceable. causing a huge issue. Manufacture needs to make this dehorner tip replaceable and our company would rate it 150% satisfactory.

Warranty has been great but we would just rather have tips available for replacement.

After some research, I bought this dehorner. It came highly recommended by many people, and at a great price. Overall I am pleased with it’s performance. It heats up quickly and very hot and takes the horn buds off with ease.

It also has a metal stand (not all models do) which is very helpful to keep from burning anything I set it on. I bought the pygmy goat sized tip for my Nigerian Dwarf goats, and it was just the right size.

The tip is not removable, however, like the larger (and more expensive) models, so it is only good for baby miniature-sized goats, which is what I was interested in. I appears to be a durable piece of equipment that will work for many years to come.

Have been giving copper boluses to my goats for years, it is a must in Florida as we are very copper deficient. Raise Savanna meat goats and LaMancha diary goats and needed for both. It effects all aspects of the goat from A-Z, insides and outsides.

Will usually take a month to see results, but results you will see. Do every 3 months in Florida, but you will find it goat specific. My diary girls need more than my meat girls. But even in copper rich states find at least once a year is needed.

Watch your goat, earliest signs of deficiency are a faded/ruff coat, fish tail (balding tail tip), and losing hair on face, especially around eyes/bridge of nose. You’ll find your breeding does/bucks, both meat and diary, will need it more often than your regular and pet stock.

Do your research, it helps a goats health on SO MANY levels to go into here.

I had read in Pat Coleby’s book about copper deficiencies, but I was unaware of the severity until my boar kids arrived with orange fur. Immediately, I ordered the 2 mg for my kids and the 4 mg for my adults.

I started the nannies on 4 mg as soon as the boluses arrived, and I administered the 2 mg to the kids at 3 months. Amazing results: 3 weeks after administering boluses, hair colors began to deepen to red and reddish brown.

Fish tails grew fuller, and fuzzy hair straightened and developed a nice sheen. When I began to see symptoms of copper deficiency 5 months later, we re administered the 4 mg to nannies and monitored kids until deficiencies reappeared in kids.

We find that, for our farm, administration is needed every 5 months for most goats, although we do find a couple of nannies who require them a bit sooner. Observation is the key to determining when boluses are needed.

These work awesome! Beautiful shiny healthy coats, better FAMACHA scores, fewer hoof problems, increased fertility. Healthier goats all around. I highly recommend these to anyone with goats! After reading all the glowing reviews here, I finally tried using these last year on our herd of Kiko and Boer meat goats, and loved the results! We will definitely be using these every year now with our goats! I was at first very hesitant to try these because we were already giving our goats a high copper mineral mix, and here in southeast Missouri we are also on the line of “adequate” and “variable” on the Santa Cruz copper map.

So theoretically our goats should have been plenty sufficient in copper, and I was concerned that they could fatally overdose on copper if I gave them the boluses in addition. But I tried giving some of them the boluses, and kept a close eye on them for the first few weeks, watching for copper over-dose symptoms, ready to treat with an antidote if necessary, but all was good.

And then after those few weeks they started getting these sleek shiny beautiful glossy coats! This year we gave copper to all our goats, and even and including a special 4 year old bottle-raised pet (who ALWAYS had a rough scruffy coat year round), and even she is now all sleek and shiny! Our herd has never looked so beautiful and healthy! I love these boluses! Moral of the story: Just because you’re giving your goats a high copper mineral does not mean your goats are necessarily getting sufficient copper.

These boluses are so inexpensive and easy for what they do! Thank you Santa Cruz for offering a far more affordable copper bolus than the name brand! And I love that these copper boluses are all natural as well, no chemicals, etc.

So now I just need to figure out a practical way to muscle our cattle in to taking the cow-size copper boluses, as I’m sure they would benefit too! ;).

I doubt this stuff really has any significant effect on the health or wellbeing of our birds, but we use it daily out of habit. We started using it when we began raising chickens and turkeys, because we read so many people swearing by it online, but at this point I am not convinced that it helps.

However, I’ve never seen it cause harm to our birds and since there is the possibility that it really is helping, we continue to use it. I put a drop into chick/poult waterers when I refill them (along with Apple Cider Vinegar, NutriDrench, PolyViSol without iron, a smaller piece than recommended of a Healthy Flock Tab, and Zyfend A), and also use it on sick or injured birds by rubbing it on their beak, over their nostrils, on their comb and waddles, and sometimes putting a small drop right in their mouth.

Not sure it helps the sick or injured birds, but we theorize that it might open up their airways when they have a respiratory infection (no proof of this). Kind of like putting Vicks Vapor rub on when you have a URI.

As far as putting this (and the other stuff) in our chick/poult water, no idea if it really helps but a lot of people seem to have a ‘magic water’ recipe for their young birds and this is ours. No real evidence that it helps, but anecdotally we do have a VERY low mortality rate with out young birds.

With all that being said, it doesn’t appear to harm them, so we continue the practice just in case it really is helping. Honestly, it really makes us feel better knowing that we are ‘doing something to help’ our birds when they are sick/injured/young.

So it probably helps our nerves more than it helps our birds.

Not sure what kind of voodoo is in this but two of my chickens were sneezing, one mouth breathing wheezing looking rough. Put this in their water, down their throats and on the rough ones beak and crown.

Next day no sneezing wheezing or mouth breathing. Also her comb looks great. Highly recommend.

My Olive Egger chicken was very sick. She was staying in the hut and sleeping during the day. I started treating her with this and by the second day she was becoming active again. The third day she was able to go out foraging with the other chickens.

All better now. So glad I found this.

This is written as someone’s opinion. Little to NO facts. No useful information. Nothing about goat to human contact. How to deal with aggressive dominant behaviors. Basically “he said” “she said” words.

Waste of money.

This book is excellent. It is easy to use, the author writes in very easy terms, whilst educating and informing at the same time. The style of the book is set up so that each chapter can be flicked to if you just want to check a particular point or make reference quickly to something specific.

I have only had it a few days and I have already been through it several times. I have learned a lot of ‘how tos’ which I was having trouble finding in other books and publications I’ve read. This is truly a bible for those who are first time goat owners, but it will also come in handy for any experienced goat owner.

The diagrams are simple and quite charming and the author’s writing style is friendly and approachable and not at all condescending as some other ‘how to’ style books can be. This book is a gem and a must have – if you are a goat owner, get it on your bookshelf, you will use it all the time and be glad you have it.

I give it a big thumbs up.

This book covers everything you could want to know about caring for goats. Just about everything I would look up on line had a reference to this book. I first checked it out at the library(a few different times!) then decided as much stuff as it covered, we needed our own copy.

It has how to guides on pretty much everything! We used the book when our first doe kidded and it was extremely helpful! It said to mix her some molasses and water after she kids for energy. We did, she liked it, drank a whole gallon and then some!! It has a lot of other great tips too.

I tilled up a portion of my pasture and spread this seed, and also spread the suggested fertilizer. It took about a month but I am finally seeing results with the various seeds sprouting and growing.

Probably was slow starting because we have no way to water the pasture so had to wait for some good soaking rains. Looking forward to when it is tall enough to let the goats in to it.

Very satisfied with how quick received order. Spread the seeds 12/03/2020. Fescue and ryegrass sprouted about 8 days later. Other seeds I haven’t seen sprout. However to be fair have not checked due to these holidays.

The fescue and ryegrass is about 5” tall and have good coverage.

I did not receive the item I ordered. You shipped spring and summer mix which I didn’t realize until after I had planted it. Goats can’t eat crops that don’t grow out of season, nor can they eat a refund.

In the future I won’t risk being sent items that I didn’t order. I’ll find another vendor with literate order fillers or I’ll research which forage goats need and order through local vendors. That way I can lay my hands on the product BEFORE I WASTE TIME, MONEY AND EFFORT.

My advice to potential consumers of your products is to shop elsewhere. Your likely to get whatever Hancock decides to ship. “YOU’LL GET WHAT WE SEND !!!” should be their motto.

This is an excellent product. I use it both for my goats and off-label for my chickens. The product is easily dispensed and is well-liked – especially my Polish chickens. I keep refrigerated so the product consistency is gel-like creating less waste.

As a previous person I read was rating this. I had just gotten a baby chick that was a stargazer, I could have gone the eggwhite/ vitamin E Route, but we had no Vitamin E. seeing her post, We got a tube and poked her beak in every 3 or so hours.

We had segragated her, in a box in the Brooder, and on the second day she jumped out of the box and rejoined her friends. To this day we don’t know witch one she is. Great stuff OH we have a bunch left also.

I bought this because I have a month old goat who was born early. Momma did not get any milk so we had to bring her inside and bottle feed her until she is eating and drinking on her own. She was pretty much lifeless and could not walk at all all she did was lay down I gave her some of this and within a few times she is now doing laps around my living room a true miracle.

Excellent product- I give 5cc to 7 day old goats and this helps them get gut flora and really thrive- don’t use the feeding directions! Squeeze a little on your finger and put into goats mouth. will take 3 squeezings to get 5 cc down your little one.

Obviously who ever wrote the “directions” have never fed a goat or kid!! For adult goats after Penicillin squeeze into food and mix around. Easiest way to get it in your goat!.

Too sketchy to give to my goat. Arrived without a cap. Just tape as the lid/cap. Now I have to return it in person to the store which is not convenient. Waste of time.

Started using these this last spring kind of like a frog/buzzbait hybrid. The sound and water displacement these make for a soft plastic is amazing. Very weedless with a 5/0 hook. My wife loves them too.

I super glue her hook on a 4/0-5/0 hook with braided line and she can fish the while day and never have to retie using the same bait. Works great as a chatterbait trailer as well.

Wow! These minerals are top notch. First of all, my goats LOVED these minerals. I’ve tried a few different goat minerals, and my goats have never ate up the minerals as quickly as they did these. No joke.

I would refill their mineral bucket in the morning, and by the end of the day, it would be GONE!!! They ate it plum clean!! They never ate minerals that fast before, so I guess whatever Manna Pro uses in theirs to flavor it must be banging.

Not only that, but I could tell it really made my goats just feel BETTER. They had a little more pep in their step, a little more energy when they talked, and those tails – erect and straight as a board! I’m in love with these minerals and will most definitely keep getting them.

This was our first year showing goats. We’re still learning. We struggled to find a happy medium of feeding pellets to gain appropriate weight with no side effects. We started adding mineral a couple of times a week to the pellets and we really think it helped.

Adequate copper levels make all the difference in goats’ health and resistance to parasites. Giving these boluses with a bolus gun is typically a job for two people, but I really like the idea from another reviewer to use a chunk of banana with the bolus pushed inside, a good method for working solo.

An excellent book for learning more about the vital role of copper and other minerals/vitamins for goats is Natural Goat Care, written by Pat Coleby. UltraCruz Goat Copper Boluses are the best deal around! And customer service has been consistently great over the years.

Free choice loose minerals are essential for all goat breeds and they love it. All goats need loose minerals on a daily basis. A mineral block is not sufficient for goats. Providing DuMOR Goat Mineral, free choice, has greatly improved the overall health of my herd and I highly recommend this product be constantly available for your goats.

My goats are picky, and devour these minerals! I had been ordering one that could no longer be shipped, and they hadn’t been nearly interested in others since. When i opened, i smelled a licorice smell and this was similar.

I purchased this product in hopes to give my pigmy doe (Teddy) a boost in her diet to assist with her coat, skin, and her energy levels. She is currently in the same area with a ewe and her lambs. So I have been careful of what types of supplements and grains I leave in the pen.

This product has allowed me to not worry about graining them separately and my doe is doing to so much better. She has more energy and is more active with the lambs when it comes to play time. Her coat is showing so much improvement.

There is also a significant improvement in her skin. I wish that there was a way to purchase the capsules by a quantity of 5 or 10 though. It’s kind of a waste to purchase 25 capsules for someone that only owns one or two goats.

I love the product though!.

Amazed at the fast response to this product. Within a couple of weeks my goat’s coat has regained its depth of color, shine, and texture as well as helping hoof walls. Also, with one doe who recently kidded was fighting anemia from parasite overload.

She was colorless on Famacha scale, but in same period I am seeing color come back to eyelids. She is now a solid 5 where she had been completely white. Fed to does inside marshmallow/oat cookie and smashed in banana for my little buck since he would not even taste the cookie.

Will definitely keep this in my goat’s schedule.

What a difference this copper made in one of my Nigerian dwarf does. Her hair was so rough, skin flaking and shedding hair so severe, her neck was almost naked. I gave the copper bolus (I opened and mixed with banana).

What a difference two to three weeks later. She has a complete new coat and the hair on her neck has come back. She also has gained a lot more strength, and doing things she has never done before, even climbing.

What a turn around.

I’ve been looking everywhere for a complete supplement I’d be happy to give my 3 sheep, and possibly my 3 goats too. (If I gave this to my goats I would have to supplement them with copper, which sheep can’t tolerate, and this doesn’t have).

I found this, read the ingredients and guaranteed analysis, and ordered it almost immediately after. The first five ingredients are dehydrated alfalfa meal, ground flax seed, rice bran, flaxseed oil, and ground sunflower seed, which is amazing and what I wanted! And it has other ingredients that I can scarcely find in a sheep supplement.

It also has biotin and omega-3 fatty acids (for nice fur and hooves). The one issue I have with it is that it doesn’t have a 2:1 calcium to phosphorus ratio but pickers can’t be choosers. The pellets themselves look and smell quality.

Usually you can tell a bad quality feed by its “plastic” or “chemical” smell, which this doesn’t have. I add this to Timothy hay pellets, soaked beet pulp (to put weight on a new underweight sheep), probios, and diatomaceous earth for my sheep.

I’m excited to see the results in my animals!.

I have three young Nigerian Dwarf wether goats. Ammonium Chloride is an essential product for male goats. I add a little to their water every day to prevent urinary calculi and so far it is working well.

This supplement comes nicely packaged, is well priced and gives me peace of mind. Will keep on purchasing and using to keep my goats healthy.

I have a buck that has had anemia problems for a while, he had Barberpole Worm and Coccidia, got that treated, and tried to treat his anemia with Red Cell, Vit. B complex, ACV, and it was not improving.

I came across this and thought, “what the heck”, ordered it. His anemia is all but gone, the color of his mouth and eyelids is looking a healthy pink. It took a bit of time as he was in pretty bad shape, but he is doing great now, putting on weight, lots of pep, and energy.

This worked where all the other stuff was not.

I read all about this being a good option for worming. I worried that I would have to use a balling gun, but also read that that advice is old and unnecessary. I opened up each bolus, stirred in raisins, and each goat licked it up with no problem.

There was no negative reaction from the copper going in directly, but it is not meant to have full effect for at least a month. I feel better having given them something to help in case of worms.

2 gram bolus much stronger than 4 gram. Company really needs to use different bolus coating/capsule for 4 gram because they are brittle. If your gun gets wet/damp from previous application it will stick to it and administration gets difficult.

2 of my 8 goats had a bad reaction to this brand. We had to give them Benadryl because their faces started swelling. They layer down on their sides and were crying. I’ve given other brands of cd&t shots every other year and have never had an issue.

I vaccinated all 10 of my goats for less than the cost of 1 vaccine from my vet. I highly recommend. Use as small of a syringe as possible and the goats barely notice.

Exactly as expected! Very satisfied. It is a huge time and money saver to be able to administer this vaccine myself.

I use soremouth vaccine on all my goat herd, since I show a lot, and export to Guam, Saipan & the Philippines. I start by vaccinating all the young kids every year, then I do the adults who haven’t been boostered in over 2 years.

I use the “ear poke method” for vaccinating; it is effective & quick. It’s a trick I learned from an seasoned goat breeder; dip a 16g needle in the vaccine, and poke it through the ear & back out. The goat will develop a small red dot where the needle poked through the ear, then a tiny white scar, and the goat is protected!.

Product can be used to vaccinate up to 100 animals. Easy to follow instructions are provided.

I have been using this vaccine for years to control sore-mouth on udders during lactation. Sore mouth virus is prevalent on most farms and is often spread from baby lambs to ewes when they nurse. Vaccinating the ewes greatly limits the severity of the sores which can otherwise lead to mastitis.

I have 2 Large Black Hogs and 8 babies. Yes, the official name of the breed is Large Black Hogs! They are very large, can grow up to 750 pounds, they are solid black, furry, smart, and good natured. Obviously I don’t eat meat.

Anyway, I needed a good, healthy food for them, but not to fatten them up. Of course they love it (Hogs, remember?) My adults and piglets are happy and healthy. The pellets are a good size for everyone, not messy, very clean.

They also get leftover veggies, fruit, etc. They also have a big area with fruit and nut trees to forage. This is a really good food at a good price.

I honestly can’t place the brand I normally use, but this was cheaper than what I normally get and my goats love this way more than the other brand and it’s cheaper. This is also not as sticky as the other brand.

It’s sweet enough to make my boys happy, but it doesn’t make a sticky mess. I did compare labels at the store and this seems to be a little healthier than the other brand I had been buying.

Great product. I saw a huge difference in overall health of ewes and newborn and growing lambs the first year I switched to this mineral. Ewes converted nutrients and maintained weight better year round.

No white muscle disease in lambs and overall stronger, healthier lambs.

All 4 of our pigs made weight for fair & one of them was in the final drive for grand champ. We don’t use any supplements. It was all from this feed! One of the pigs was a back up pig & was a month younger than the others.

He barely squeaked over the minimum wieght, but considering how far he came, it was really impressive. The past few years we have used a variety of different feeds trying to find a happy medium between cost & results.

We are very happy with this feed & will absolutely be using it again next year.

The pigs went wild for this feed this year, smells great when you open the bag – like vanilla and milk replacer. Pigs are doing well with it, had great luck with previous versions of the Nutrena show feeds and will keep feeding our show pigs this quality feed.

Very economical.

Pigs gained less than a pound a day while eating over 6 pounds a day. My kids 4 h pigs will not be going to the fair this year. They bought nice show pigs this year from 2 different breeders and neither pig did make weight and not even close.
