After 40+ years of doing many different types of simple DIY jobs around the home (and using Lepage PL construction adhesive), this product by far surpasses it. Gorilla glue holds & binds to every known (dry) construction material surface: lumber, natural wood, pressure treated lumber, MDF, wood composites, cement, brick, steel, aluminum, styrofoam, resin plastics, rubber, ceramic tile).

Dries fast, no smell, and NO toxic off gasing, so you can easily use this product inside any home where fumes from petroleum based solvents are an health issue. Easily washes off your hands with soap & water.

I now only buy my glues from the entire Gorilla product line. After years of using other products, that either failed to hold, or took too long to dry, and really smelled bad (if you are sensitive to construction product smells).

This might be hard to explain. I recently bought this item cut the tip off inserted into my caulking gun would not come out inserted a nail into the nozzle thinking it had a cover still nothing. felt down the container it was soft.

Had to use a hacksaw about an inch down from the top as it was harden somehow like a puck. So then I had to use a piece of wood to push out to adhesive and a putty knife to spread it. Lucky I needed all the adhesive for the job.

I do not know if this item sits to long on the shelf it would harden since this is not a cheep item. The adhesive still did the job but the application did not work as intended.

Does not work very well / does not stick very well. I tried this because I can’t handle the VOC’s in standard adhesives anymore. If you are like me, and need to use this, some tips to help: Before opening, shake the contents very well for at least 5 to 10 minutes (this stuff like to separate, so shake it well), apply heavy with a brush or roller to both materials to be bonded together, hit it with a hair dryer for a few minutes, wait about an hour, then apply a second coat, hit it with a hair dryer again for a few minutes, wait about an hour, stick the parts together and keep them pressed together for about a day.

Then put somewhere in a warm dry environment (about 80deg F) for a few days to 2 weeks. That’s what I had to do to get it to stick together. After that, it seems pretty well stuck.

This stuff is water based, so it washes off easily, but once it dries, you either rub it off or wipe it away with a cloth soaked with lacquer thinner. Works wicked well for gluing synthetic fabrics to solid structures and other fabrics.

Paint it on the structure with a China bristle brush and let it dry. It’s then like a Post-it note so you can reposition the fabric until you get it exactly right, then rub it down to stick it in place and iron it with a 250 degree F iron to lock it.

Oh no, I screwed it up again! No big deal, just peel it off and try again: rub & iron. Then paint some more Fastbond over the top of the joint and wipe away any excess with a good paper towel before it dries.

After an hour or so, iron it down at 250 to lock it all together, then paint over it with a water borne paint, if you wish. Good stuff!.

First time user so we decided to use the “green” version to assure product was ready for contact. There is no odor to this product. Product was used in a confined space (rear berth of a sailboat)to adhere vinyl liner to the sides of the vessel.

Easy to apply with brush or roller. Went on blue dried green in about 30 minutes. Easy cleanup if you don’t let it dry, otherwise use mineral spirits. Throw away brushes and roller covers, it’s not worth trying to clean up.

Product worked as advertised and I would strongly recommend for use where odor from normal contact cement is unacceptable. Hardware Hut beat all prices.

It’s been in use for at least 75 years. It’s what holds your windshield in place. How many of those have you seen fall out? It’s a structural adhesive. It also cures in moisture. This means if you want it to cure faster, spray water on it.

It’s also available in quick set versions that cure much faster. Also, it’s important to get fresh urethane. Normally the bottles will have dates on them. If they are old they do not flow well out of the caulking gun and your hand will grow in size.

If you run out on the job, and you don’t care if the color is black, go to your local auto parts store – they will have it. The nice thing about Home Depot’s urethane selections? They are available in White, Beige, Grey and Black.

Once you understand the power of Urethane you will also understand that it is the ultimate RV sealant. Seal it once – for 50 years !!!.

Without exaggeration, this adhesive strongly bonds almost anything to anything. I no doubtfully love its performance, ease of use, and the low odor feature. An issue I like to report is about the curing process.

The Home Depot web site claims that it fully cures in 24 hours. Therefore, I glued a floor molding bracket (galvanized steel) to a concrete floor and pushed the molding into it 24 hours thereafter. It resulted in part of the base coming off the floor.

Apparently, the maximum bonding power is not yet reached in 24 hours, at which time the adhesive has not completely hardened. I would give it at least 48 hours before trying to apply any load.

Was looking for the liquid nail adhesive in the gold and blue cardboard tube, but the store was out of it. Got this instead cause it also said construction adhesive, and that it bonds all types of woods.

Sorry, but this is nothing but silicone caulking. This will work if your wanting to seal around some windows or doors, but if your wanting to bond something permanent, then get the original liquid nail in the gold and blue tube.

That stuff is like super glue on steroids.

I used this product to hold some new cabinet boards together. It actually hold pretty well. The product comes out very smooth just need to be careful on the aperture not to make a large cut or it would come out as a clump, over saturating the working area.

With the assistance of some clamps and a 24 hours waiting the wood stayed strongly bonded. It most be careful not to saturate the material and immediately clean the area. The one downside its the container as the cartoon easily bend at the end and loose the shape for the dispensing gun.

Also need a way to close the tip for continue reuse or it will harden and waste.

We love our Liquid Nails-Heavy Duty! We have used it all over the house on several different things. We did use it on wood, concrete, on drywall and several other things around the house. It’s super easy to use as long as you have tools you need to use the product.

It goes on like glue and takes a bit to dry but it works great for filling in gaps. You can pretty much use it on almost anything. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand. Applying it is so easy and it doesn’t take much to do.

I love that we can use it on several different things and not just one thing. It actually last awhile too. I was thinking it wouldn’t because it don’t look like much would come in the tube but it lasted for quite awhile and we used it for several things before we started getting low on the liquid nail glue.

I also love that it’s water resistant, which is so helpful! I have recommended it to friends and family. We plan on buying more and continuing to use it!.

Gorilla – Gorilla Clear Max Construction Adhesive is a MUST HAVE for every household. There is NOTHING that this adhesive cannot mend for you, except perhaps a broken heart! I have used it to seal cracks around windows, repaired a broken piece of pottery (it’s Clear, no worries).

Any item that has been damaged or is broken, Gorilla – Gorilla Clear Max Construction Adhesive will strengthen it back to useable again! GREAT PRODUCT!.

Good stuff. We have a granite countertop, and the undermount stainless steel sink was seperating from the granite. I took the undermount supports out, chiseled everything out, sanded, and cleaned really well to re-attach.

I just wasn’t sure which adhesive to use. I called Gorilla, and their customer support is great. They recommended this product with mechanical support. A little goes a long way. I only used about a quarter of the tube, and i was worried i needed more, but this is incredible strong.

It’s only been a few months, and I will update if theres any changes, but everything has held up great. Just be careful with spillover/runoff.

I was given a bathroom countertop. I wasn’t sure what to do with it. I glued a piece of plywood to the bottom, closing the sink opening. I spread a layer of Gorilla Glue, on the wood and clamped it to the countertop.

I’ve haven’t used Gorilla Glue before and curious about the strength and hold. It was dry within 24hrs. I secured the top to a metal cart base. I filled the sink opening with river rock. Instead of grout I used glue.

Gorilla Clear Max dried clear! The rocks are secured and stand out nicely! I now have a kitchen island, with a place to put hot pans. I’m impressed with the versatility of the glue!!! My new go to for projects!!!.

First time with a ‘green’ product such as this. Had a project inside a small basement room with inadequate ventilation, and was concerned about using the typical products available that are hazardous.

I had to sniff this stuff directly from 2 inches away to be able to discern any odor at all, and even then it was hardly objectionable, faintly resembling a vinegar type odor. Being a former finish carpenter I can assure you that this is not the case with ‘regular’ construction adhesives.

That stuff is nasty!.

Thank God for the Almighty, well thank Green Building supply really! We did an addition and some remodeling recently and the mandate went out: “no toxic materials”. All craftsmen were instructed that they will not use any fuming toxic glues, paints or materials so they had to list the materials needed that had to be ordered from GBS.

When I noticed a case of construction adhesive that the guys were using to glue a subfloor and smelled that, instant headache, so I stopped the job and said “I told you none of this!, why didn’t you say you needed glue?” Bought a case of Almighty and then let them finish.

I have been using the Almighty on various smaller projects and it bonds fairly quickly and is holding on everything so far. The best thing is that I can use it without a respirator, or mask and be able to breathe fine and not go into a coma!.

I followed directions, but still messed up putting a broken cherub head back on after it tumbled during a recent move. Okay, so I added more glue to get it to finally stick, and set the head for the night, but by morning it was a messy mess.

The head is attached, but now the cherub needs a flower necklace to cover it up! My hairbrush fell to the floor just perfectly and broke, so I tried Gorilla Glue again with high hopes, but nope. Had to toss it out and buy a new brush.

This doesn’t hold up at all compared to the spray that lady used in her hair. She had me sold. So I thought since it literally kept her hair I. Place two months I’ll go with something a little less drastic.

So I bought the quick adhesive glue. This adhesive bubbles up to make pastie type bubbles on anything you are glueing, it almost looks like dried cellophane. Then a few days later the hold decreases and the project falls.

I definite don’t recommend it. It’s as strong as plastic tape. I’ll try the spray kind next time. If that real as strong as that lady proclaimed. #.

I love this glue and it’s so much better than super glue. I use it on almost everything such as wood, metal, glass, ceramic, jewelry and even my frig handle. Its great for craft project foam. It is very strong holding and dries in less than 60 minutes.

I like hat it is waterproof too. It’s better than duct tape. It is my to go glue. Don’t have to use alot because it only takes a little bit. If you put to much it takes longer to dry. I used it today on my favorite frog cup and you can’t even see where the handle broke Best glue ever.

It a must have item.

I had purchased this product previously but didn’t have a can left and didn’t know how many square feet it would cover. I sincerely appreciated being able to talk to a real person to get an answer as to how many square feet can we cover.

The customer service representative was quick, answered my questions and help me make a decision. This product is amazing. It’s not available where I live and Hass to be ordered online. The water-based version of this doesn’t hold.

This version is bomb proof. So if you’re unsure choose this one.

I’ve used Weldwood Contact Cement forever but this product is getting hard to find in California probably because of strict California chemical laws and the green version of this product just does not work.

And many other states don’t want to ship anything that is the least bit hazardous to California. I’m thankful I was able buy it on Walmart. Thank you Walmart.

I use this in a somewhat unusual way that requires flexibility. Follow the instructions and it will hold forever. Cleanup with paint thinner. There are other much more expensive products that I avoid.

Humidity, temperature and direct sun can affect how this bonds so keep that in mind. Try a test with it first if you haven’t used it and then try and peel it apart. Porous materials require a second coat.

The first coat will reactivate with the second coat. You don’t need to over saturate a porous material – keeping some of the pores open helps with proper drying and bonding.

You can comfortably on this tube. Very reasonable for its versatility of application and ease of use. Always wear surgical gloves so you maintain the feel you need with finger protection.

This contact cement is one of the best around. It lasts long and it is a pleasure to spread. I have tried other contact cents, such as Elmer’s, Super Glue, Gorilla Glue, to name a few, and I prefer this one.

Glue performance, brilliant, very strong. The only niggle is the size of nozzle. Not being adjustable (or not sufficiently adjustable), it dispenses at a reasonable rate for small jobs, but becomes a struggle for large jobs requiring a faster stream.

Gluing P5 tongue & groove flooring, even with ambient temps around 27deg C allowing the glue to run more freely, I had to squeeze the bottle with such force and for a prolonged period, that it became a torture for my hands.

Maybe I should have cut the nozzle, but then it would not be closable. A simple redesign of the cap would allow improved flow adjustment and closure.

Good waterproof performance where needed but not needed for the majority of applications where indoor/outdoor 502 glue is fine and considerably cheaper. 6 months’ unopened shelf life which is quite short (502 is one year), so will be less once opened.

This is too short for the amounts I use so smaller bottles would be helpful (but this manufacturer doesn’t do them). The same brands are available as 500ml bottles so why not this stuff? Personal experience has shown that the glue is fine after longer periods than the manufacturer states but don’t know if thre’s any performance loss.

Main criticism is that the sesign of the spout on the bottle is too restrictive and tends to block quite easily.

One of the ultimate wood glues. A great waterproof glue. As a boatbuilder I either use D4 or epoxy. However have you seen the price of epoxy, then theres the fact you cant pick it up just round the corner then theres the problem of mixing it.

D4 though is a great glue, the quick hold is a good advantage and so far the hold has been excelkent.
