20 Best Foundation To Hide Pores (2023 Updated)

I love to have a full face coverage, but not the full coverage look and this foundation makes my mornings quick and natural! I have tons of freckles that I like to cover, and as a teacher I am usually in a rush out the door! Quick dots around the face with the the wand and blending it in with my favorite makeup sponge means I get to have a natural look that covers everything I want! My freckles peek through but are not the first thing you notice, just like I like! Once it dries you don’t even know I have makeup on, and it leaves my skin feeling soft and stays all day.

(It does not feel sticky even in the areas I add some of my chubby stick balm products. ) I get compliments on it every day! I pair it with a bit of my other quick Clinique products for a full face and I am done in about five minutes, looking natural, fresh but professional! Yay! The best part is that on my skin the finish gives off a skin like, soft matte with a nice glow.

Hello world, I can tackle anything! The wand like application also allows for less mess, less product wasted and adds to your on the go look! For reference my skin is neither oily nor dry! It is important to keep in mind however that I am a big believer that no foundation will work for everyone’s skin or preference so if you try this, and don’t love it keep looking! Once you find the one you love and your skin loves, your confidence rockets!.

I contacted Clinique since I could no longer locate their foundation, Continuous Coverage, that I have been using for over 45 years! They advised me to purchase Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concealer as this was supposedly the same product (or close to it).

They also advised me to order a specific color, “neutral,” which I could see immediately was the wrong color/shade. I ordered the correct shade for me (Ivory) and I will say that the Ivory shade/color is spot on (no thanks to their advisors).

While Beyond Perfecting is a full coverage product, which is what I was looking for, that’s where the similarities to Continuous Coverage end. The packaging/applicator is just plain weird. You pull a stick out of the bottle that is gooped with the foundation.

Who came up with this idea? The product is incredibly greasy. I’ve never seen anything like it. I cannot possibly overstate how greasy it is. Additionally, there’s the most horrific chemical smell. Not like anything anyone should get near their body.

Rather, it smells like something you would apply to asphalt. Additionally, when wearing a face mask, the mask ends up with most of the make up. To the Clinique staff: Please do not advise me to speak to one of your advisers again.

Been there; done that! This is the second time I’m posting this review, as Clinique staff did not want to post this negative review.

Let’s start off with my skin type so I have adult cystic acne and black heads have struggled my whole life with it. So I have big pores and combinations of oily and dry skin. I have normally use bear minerals because I have normally had good luck with powdered foundation.

So i wanted something with more coverage and better skin tone matching as the girl a Ulta didn’t match me to well last time. I asked for something matte I was recommended the Clinique beyond perfecting concealer foundation.

I like it when I first put it on I use primer and setting powder to completely make sure I am cover and Secure. I have to say that for the quality and the name of this foundation,I truly felt that I would have better results.

W ithin the hour or two I feel very oily and it cakes into a fine lines and wrinkles on my forehead and it smears very easily. My reason for 3 stars is that it gives great coverage and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.

It does make your skin matte my issue is just the longevity of the product and it being a long wear with out having to touch up in a hour. Will update with pics after I put my make up one for the day.

I received ILIA True Skin Serum Foundation for free from PINCHme and ILIA in exchange for my honest opinion- Let me start off by saying, I wouldn’t advise applying this foundation as recommended, which is to pump into your hands and apply.

I also wouldn’t recommend your typical foundation brush. What worked for me, was to use a damp beauty blender! This foundation actually really surprised me when I used the beauty blender. I was a little nervous that the complimentary sample I received in shade “Tavarua SF2” was going to be a tad bit too dark for me.

I wouldn’t say it was a PERFECT match, but it was extremely close. I would say this foundation shade would be perfect for me in the summer time! If you’re looking for a vegan, cruelty free, foundation that also is beneficial to your skins needs, this foundation is perfect! This foundation actually has active skincare ingredients in its formula.

The ingredients are clean and rather impressive. ILIA’s True Skin Serum Foundation’s key ingredients are- Aloe, Niacinamide, Allantoin, Plant Based Squalane, and Mastic. It is lightweight and provides light- medium coverage.

I like this foundation because it makes your skin look and feel radiant, youthful, and nourished. It’s almost like your real skin, but a better version of it. This foundation blurs imperfections, hides rosacea, and subsides fine lines.

It doesn’t get cakey when oxidized. It also lasts all day long! This foundation pairs nicely with ILIA’s True Skin Radiant Priming Serum and ILIA’s True Skin Serum Concealer. I definitely would recommend this to someone who doesn’t like a full coverage foundation, who just likes a little “tweak” to their skin.

Or a skincare fanatic looking to find a formula that not only makes you look and feel beautiful, but is helping their skin at the same time.

(I received a sample of the a Ilia from Ilia True Skin Serum Foundation in exchange for a fair and honest review. ) So. I’m obsessed with this tinted serum. Truly – I’m in love. It’s currently my favorite variation of foundation and might just turn out to be a long-term holy grail.

It goes on so wonderfully and, really, you can’t mess it up – it starts as light coverage (as all tinted serums) but can easily be built up to light-medium/close to medium coverage without it feeling heavy or cakey at all.

I’ve also found that it applies wonderfully with a brush and even your fingers; a beauty blender can work just fine, but you’ll need a bit more product that way because it’s a serum and is fairly easily soaked up.

(I found that I most preferred to apply with a brush or my fingers and then “finish” with a quick pounce of the sponge. ) I found it to have a satin-y finish – certainly not matte, but also not overly luminous to the point of looking greasy.

it is a really nice balance that gives off a great, very soft natural “glow”. It wears beautifully as well. (I will say i start getting a bit of breakdown in about 5-8 hours depending on weather, activity, etc, which usually works just fine for me; it may last longer on less drastically oily skin.

) And really does feel quite like a second skin. I genuinely can’t recommend this foundation enough – it’s def my current obsession! (In fact, I honestly suggest this whole True Skin line from Ilia, it’s fantastic.

Firstly, don’t make the mistake I did which is try to apply this with your brush or fingers. And especially don’t apply it like face cream on both palms, as per Ilia’s own website! What you need is a beauty blender, I had never tried them before but I managed to purchase an eco, compostable one.

The finish is so much better, by using this damp and applying product sparingly. It also helps if your face is lightly moisturised first, that way the foundation won’t settle in fine lines. I don’t love this as much as my Inika foundation because that seemed to treat my acne, but in terms of colour match this is truly excellent, as I am fairly pale.

I bought Tavarua, I have dark hair & freckles. I love the packaging – sleek, simple and easy to use, hygienic pump. The foundation doesn’t particularly smell of anything to me. I think it’s a lot of money to spend but if you use it wisely then it’s a good investment.

It’s easy to remove too.

I love this foundation! The formula is amazing! So I will start by saying I received this complimentary from Influenster and the shade would have been the correct color if it had not been me going to CA + getting a tan! So now I would say I am Porcelain/Vanilla 🙂 when I am really dark Ligjt beige these are all the neutral undertones! When this foundation first came out they did not have as many fair shades as they do now which I love because us pale girls in Oregon know the struggle.

I will note that the “porcelain” shade is a bit darker than at what you would normally label as porcelain so just a thing to keep in mind 🙂 Here is my run down of this foundation: LOVE: – This foundation creates a peerless appearance for me (I am very oily) and I love how the texture isnt fully exposed – I love the shade range of colors too faced has to offer with this – The coverage is amazing I do tend to have circles under my eyes, redness, and pores and this covers it ALL! (Saya medium coverage but for me it’s more full which I love) -Little goes a long way and it doesnt oxidize like crazy or turn super orange -Although its hydrating it IS oily free so I love how I fo t get slick after a few hours! co-stars on wonderfully greatly paired with a peerless primer! The only con I would say about this is perhaps the form of application.

I do like how this looks better with a brush than a beauty blender. Bit personal preference I know others who use this with a blender and it’s pretty so take that with a grain of salt. Definitely worth the price as it lasts about 6 to 8 months 🙂 Love how effortless my skin looks with this foundation and I need to try the concealer also!.

finally, the best daily SPF buildable skin tint on the market. I consider myself an SPF enthusiast and I hardly write reviews for products–I started my SPF journey after my mother was diagnosed with a small basil cell carcinoma (skin cancer lesion) on her forehead, when I was in my early 20s and she in her early 50s.

As a result of seeing that and caring for her, I knew I was putting myself at risk by not wearing SPF daily. I’ve tried SO many products promising impossible things to the point where I just considered my standards to be too high! Consider my opinion changed after finding this product.

I’m 32 years old now and don’t have too many skin concerns (other than a forehead wrinkle) because I am so diligent with my skincare routine. I absolutely love that this skin tint from ILIA is buildable, but still looks like you’re wearing nothing on your skin, has high SPF (most are 15 and under for daily wear) and PLANT-BASED squalene (for the vegans, yay)! I am first and foremost a “skincare mandatory, makeup optional” kind of person and this product ticks all of the boxes for me in that respect–I don’t own foundation so this is a great base for me in combination with sometimes using concealer if the need arises (I use RMS Uncover Up under my eyes, when needed).

I went with the “Rendezvous – ST1” for the New England winter season and will likely go one shade darker in the summer, when I get some color. This is without a doubt the most natural skin tint I’ve ever tried and it pairs so well with my moisturizer and facial oils (from Herbivore Botanicals).

If you’re thinking about it, go for it. The range of skin tone options puts this product ahead of it’s competitors as well. Like I said, I’ve tried SO many SPF products on my face I could probably have made a career out of it and this one has absolutely topped my list.

I know everyone has different skincare and SPF needs, but for me, I doubt I’ll ever find anything that could be better than this product.

Learning curve to work with it but I’m so glad I had the patience because it’s incredible!! I love the medium buildable coverage, acts as a concealer and foundation in one. My favorite quality about it is that it feels incredible like I’m not wearing makeup at all and it lasts ALL DAY!! Trick- it is a very thick consistency for a foundation so it goes on best with a wet, moisturized face.

I like to put soak it up on and immediately apply the foundation while my face is still wet. As a concealer you can skip that trick and just use it straight out of the tube because without cutting it with moisturizer the consistency is a thick concealer.

It’s perfection. I love it. Only negative is the smell. I don’t care for the floral smell but at least it disappears shortly after applying. Also the color range could be better. Tan has a yellow undertone but blends out beautifully.

Deep is only slightly darker with less yellow undertones more neutral. Medium blush is more on the fair end of medium and is definitely thicker and harder to blend than deep and tan. My favorite combo is blush medium in the t-zone (and as concealer) and tan or deep for bronze contour (face framed and neck).

I bought this powder and the metal disk tray holding the makeup flew out of the compact when I opened it. The glue that was holding the disk to the compact was clearly not doing its job at all. The glue looked old (orange in color) and wasn’t spread out on the whole surface area; it was just placed in a small section.

So I could never use the makeup. I contacted PUR and they said they couldn’t do anything because I purchased it at Ulta. I contacted Ulta and they said I had to come in the store. I went to the store and they said I had to have the broken item with me, the picture of it broken wasn’t enough.

It really is PUR’s fault for manufacturing such a poor quality container. I just lost my money and they take no responsibility for creating a bad item.

I have been using this product for years now I always like to try new foundations but they never seem to provide the same kind of coverage as this does. Everytime I use this foundation everyone tells me my skin looks flawless.

I am also prone to acne and with other foundations i tend to break out, but with this foundation it covers up my blemishes and I don’t break out. This is also a great match for my skin I use the golden medium and it is just perfect.

I love that it is mineral makeup and that is why my skin does not break out with this foundation as with others. I also love the package it comes in it is perfect for carrying anywhere and I love the design, This is definitely my all time favorite foundation.

My previous foundation was discontinued rather abruptly and I was scrambling to find a new one. Tried a few and could not find a good color or coverage match for months. Saw a display for this new foundation and tried a mini size–and FELL IN LOVE.

This is the best foundation I have ever used. It covers beautifully without looking heavy like full coverage. The color goes on dark (scared me at first) but blends beautifully and lightens to the perfect shade as it dries.

Stays put all day (except on my chin which I can’t seem to stop touching and wearing the makeup off) and doesn’t oxidize much at all. I have oily t-zone combo skin and starting to age a bit-this foundation makes me look 10 years younger.

It perfects and covers and just looks and feels amazing. It’s perfect.
