My baby was breastfed from birth until he developed persistent colic from food intolerances, and no matter what I ate, he screamed. We ended up having to transition to formula to try to settle his stomach.

Unfortunately, the large US baby formula brands all contain additives and chemicals in them. The carageenan which has been proven to cause inflammation in the digestive system that was on the ingredient list for my baby’s ready to feed formula I had to use due to his multiple food intolerances.

It even had soy in it even though it claimed to be soy free, which was ridiculous (since my baby has milk soy protein intolerance)! It was killing me to keep feeding it to him since it was my only option (in the US anyway) because he could not tolerate any of the other formulas.

Once we got Kendamil goat, his poops no longer looked like formula fed poops – they are closer to the breastfed stools he had when I was exclusively breastfeeding him. He is no longer gassy or constipated, his reflux improved, and he is such a happy baby now.

I have read the ingredient list for the Kendamil goat and I feel good about it, there are no nasty additives like carageenan , corn syrup solids, soy of any kind, or maltodextrin. I am so happy we are able to feed him this formula, and it also makes me feel less guilty about having to give him formula since it was so difficult for me to come to terms with weaning him from EBF.

I read a review on here that this formula will give your baby the runs, babies are supposed to have lose stool because their digestive system is not matured yet and they are not taking in solids so why should they have solid adult poops?! I took one of my genetic reports to a naturopath. After pouring over it, he advised me that I may have histamine intolerance. That is why I bought this type of probiotic. I have tried it a few times now, and I have not noticed any difference whether I take it or I do not.

I also used it to ferment oatmeal, and at the same time I used whey from grass-fed yogurt to ferment another batch of oatmeal. The yogurt-cultured oats came out tangy, while this one just barely so, having little of that sour taste associated with fermented foods.

I have read again and again that the bacteria type in this product does not colonize the gut, because the gut already has established species that keep out new comers. The benefits of these probiotics are therefore transitory.

This formula is everything it claims. I initially purchased Holle Bio PRE Organic Baby Formula when I realized that I couldn’t produce enough breast milk for our LO. I felt good about it because of the stringent standards it is held to in terms of being organic, soy free, maltodextrin free, etc.

But, my baby was suffering with terrible gas pains. It was so much so the case that she couldn’t even eat the recommended daily ounces, as she’d be screaming with pain, red-faced and kicking, while trying to suck on the bottle.

After weeks if this, she wasn’t putting on weight very quickly. My pediatrician was asking me to try a different formula. Finally, I caved and tried an American organic formula. I didn’t like the ingredients as much, but I needed to try something.

No change. Everywhere I turned, the information I was getting seemed to reinforce that ALL babies just suffer with gas for the first few months of life and that only time and their little internal organs maturing would eventually make it better.

I did my fair share of research on formulas and Holle was the winner. Not only is it all organic and safer than all American formulas but it’s so close to breast milk. When I was weaning my son off of breastmilk I would give him two ounces of breast milk in one bottle and two ounces of Holle in another.

You couldn’t tell the difference between the two. Holle is thin like breast milk which makes it easy for baby to digest. He has no gas, constipation, or acid reflux issues. He is now 3 months old and strictly on Holle and gaining weight like a champ.

Bottle feeding my 7 week old with half breast milk half Hipp. He is doing just fine but not gaining weight as fast as when on American formulas. Hipp uses the more bioavailable alpha-lactalalbumin enriched whey, which allows them to lower the protein level from 1.

3 or 1. 4 grams to 1. 28 (this website shows an incorrect 1. 25 grams). A study showed lower protein levels with whey composition similar to breast milk can prevents possible obesity issues in later adulthood.

Only Hipp and the nonorganic Kendamil has this whey. Of course I chose this formula. Similar cost to Emfamil Enspire or Similac 360 Total Care This formula didn’t solve my LO’s mild gassiness, though.

Tried all sorts of EU formula… lebenswert, kendamil, HIIP… Baby seemed to like it. The only thing we didn’t like was the packaging. I wish it came in a can or something but we just reused the kendamil can.

I did like that it came in two separate bags though so we didn’t have to use all of it so quickly! Helpful especially because we are only using about one bottle of formula a day.

My 15 month old baby daughter was introduced to cow milk when she turned 12mo and she did not like it at all she would always reject the bottles and get diarrhea and get constipated. So she was on almond milk which she liked 50/50.

I switched her to NAN pro and she boom she absolutely loves it and can’t stop asking for bottles, it has vitamins and minerals that she needs to grow and it doesn’t cause her stomach aches or diarrhea like with regular cow milk.

She seems to be in a better mood everyday now to and isn’t as fussy as when she would drink cow or almond milk. She is always happy when I’m making her bottle and when she’s done with it she is energetic and very joyful.

Yes for probiotics! My 22 month old is/was breastfed from the start. I went back to work (I’m a teacher, was on a sabbatical) and noticed a drop in my supply. I’ve tried to get him to drink more whole milk and even tried powdered milks but he is so sensitive to taste.

The smallest oddity and it’s over. Enter this Gerber milk mix and it’s different. I naturally had to try it myself. It did not have that odd aftertaste that most Powder drinks have. My little man has been taking it with no complaints and I’ve even been mixing it in his Mac and cheese with a little water.

After consulting with my night nurse and My Organic Company, I decided to transition my baby from HA Pre (which she thrived on) to HA Stage 1 when she turned 6 months. While HA Stage 1 says 0-6 months, I was told you can actually continue HA Stage 1 (or any Stage 1) for up to a year.

If your baby is not filling up on Stage 1 formula, then it would make sense to transition to a Stage 2 formula. The HA formulas are hydrolyzed, meaning the milk proteins are split in a way that makes it easier for babies to digest.

For the record, I did try a non-hydrolyzed formula when my baby turned 6 months (regular Stage 2 Combiotik) and it gave my baby diarrhea. With the introduction of solids and all the other changes taking place like teething, I just want the most gentle formula for my baby.

My plan is to continue HA Stage 1 as we introduce more solids and then move to HA Stage 2 when I feel she is ready (maybe in a month or two). Honestly it’s all very confusing! If My Organic Company could make a clear-cut comparison table, that would be very helpful.

The existing comparisons they have posted are not clear as to the differences between the formulas and recommendations on when and why to move from one stage to the next (and one formula type to another – e.

g. , HA to regular combiotik or German to Dutch). From my own experience, the HA formulation has been fantastic and I don’t think you can go wrong by sticking with it. It is gentle on my baby’s tummy and she is very healthy.

We also use bottled Evian and Aqua Carpatica water to mix with our formula. Probably unnecessary but we all want the best for our babies!.
