20 Best Floor Polish For Vinyl (2023 Updated)

I have used rejuvenate before and always had excellent results. The polish and cleaning products are specifically designed and sold for different applications: all types of floor cleaner, wood floor cleaner and polish.

Each design is well matched for the type of surface you are working with. It seems much more concentrated than general products that I have used. It smells good and dries rapidly which is very helpful for large surfaces.

The office vinyl flooring was damaged with lots of white stains. As people walked around on it, salted snow from the shoes made white stains everywhere over the floor. I tried to clean up using many different kinds of cleaner including hot water and vinegar but it remained on the floor.

Finally, I used this product and amazingly the floor has been restored like new.

We have 57 year old hardwood floors that are still in pretty good condition but we wanted to restore without paying too much money and thought it would be a good idea to give this a try. We tested it out in our guest room since it doesn’t have high traffic and can dry in peace without the family/pets stepping all over it.

I went and bought the Rejuvenate Mop that came with 3 pads ( cleaning, dusting and polishing) and also bought the Rejuvenate Floor Cleaner as well. So the instructions were very simple to follow. Instead of using the dust mop I ended up vacuuming the whole room since we have pets and I wanted to be sure I got all the hair off.

I cleaned it then used the polish as instructed. Be sure that before polishing the floor need to be completely dry! We ended up using two coats of the polish and felt that they looked good enough. The food looked so beautiful and we were impressed.

It didn’t really fill the larger scratches but really did a good job covering the smaller ones. Aside from tired arms I really liked this product and am going to continue using it for the rest of the rooms and hallway.

I received this product and thought it would be almost like mopping my floor. Did not realize there would be so much I’d have to know about my floor before using this! I opted to try the product in an spot no one but me would see… my closet.

I cleaned, and sanded off a 2’x2’ area , I then used the product to test it. Almost like when you’re testing skincare products for the first time hehehe. I followed the instructions and now waiting to see final result.

I’m letting it sit for 48hrs untouched or bothered by anything. I think emptying out my closet was the biggest nuisance, but after that cleaning & sanding off the top with a battery operated sander , then applying product was not so bad.

The area seems very shiny right now, and that’s with little light! Can’t wait to treat my floors with this! May have to buy 2 more bottles I would 100% recommend this to someone who would like to give their wood floors a new life, but do not have the money to hire professionals or can’t change out all their flooring.

It does an ok job adding back shine to dulled out wood floor surface. It’s thin milky fluid that is poured on the floor and mopped once the floor’s prepped/cleaned. It’s an easy application anyone can handle.

The issue I have with it is that it requires/recommends microfiber cloth to mop with it. I happened to have one laying around at home but if you don’t have one, you need to get one or find an alternative.

I didn’t catch that at first and used the papertowel to wipe and it left a film of hazy residue on multiple spots which is unsightly. I mopped the area again with a microfiber cloth and went away. I was concerned it would leave chemical odors but it didn’t.

It contained a lot of different chemical material that makes me wonder what long tern effects it would have on the wood. Overall, it’s a nice product to restore the dull surface if you have a hard time doing with normal cleaning.

I love this floor cleaner! It was recommended by the floor manufacturer. The cleaner makes cleaning the floors so easy!

I do not think this product did anything. I used it and scrubbed and nothing happened. Then I tried dishwashing liquid in water and scrubbed and I saw dirt lifting up. Also, the shape of the container is misleading in the photo because it looks like like a large container when in fact it is only 32 oz (as described).

But the picture is misleading.

I have Mannington LVP flooring throughout the house and Mannington recommends using their product to keep their warranty. It does not take much of the cleaner in a bucket of water to clean the floor so the bottle does last a long time.

It cleans well with no streaks or residue. I do not have to rinse the floor with plain water after.

I purchased anti-skid slipper socks for my disabled husband. The dye discolored my vinyl flooring, I called Mannington for advice and they assured me this would take it off and they gave me Floor Guy phone number, the lady there was adamant this product would take it off so i ordered it.

Much to my disappointment and hard work, it did not do a thing on removing the stain, it did clean well except the stains are still the same. Do you have any solution to my problem? Both bathroom floors look horrible.

I have washed the socks numerous times but the stain is everywhere he walks. I contacted the retailer of the socks and they were surprised, did not have a solution and had never had any complaint on them.

I bought this cleaner refill because all of these rave reviews in which people said how much they loved the cedar wood smell of this hardwood floor cleaner and how wonderful it was. I have very sensitive smelling and can smell gas leaks in houses I went for estate sales in or outside.

This one smelled nothing even close to cedar wood, with a scent that was close to a very cheap perfume (a little bit like lavender but very CHEAP lavender. ) I told my wife to try some upstairs to see how it worked but instead she tried it in our bed room and all of a sudden I was suffocated after smelling all these horrible smell from this cedar wood floor cleaner.

Therefore, for those of you are easily allergic to any perfume especially CHEAP one, be forewarned and try this at your own risk. They really need to put a warning label on this floor cleaner. Do not every trust any RAVE reviews, lesson learned.

Recently we ran out of the Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner and happened to get the new and improved version. Don’t waste your money! It streaks and leaves a sticky film and the With the new and improved formula, the floor is no longer shiny.

It is now dull and shows prints. The old stuff worked great! With the new and improved formula you are to use a damp mop which gets the floor too wet no matter how much you wring out the Bona microfiber mop, plus it still leaves the floor dull, streaked and sticky.

Bring back the old formula and I’ll give it a 10!.

Have been using Bona Wood Floor cleaner for 2 year. I like that it was scentless. This product no only is safe for hardwood floors my cat and does an excellent job cleaning. Very easy to use and it does leave a nice shine without a dulling residue like other cleaners left.

We have Tarkett engineered laminate flooring that is ~20 years old and it had become worn and dull looking. After years of using Bona, we tried the Mop & Glo product which turned out to be a huge mistake.

After that initial shock we tried a Pledge product with equally bad results. Saw the Rejuvenate commercial and decided to give it a try – after all, if it didn’t work, we’d only be out 10 bucks. The final results are WOW! Not only are our floors clean, now they shine like we’re sure they did when they were new! It is easy to apply with a bonnet mop, goes on smoothly and without streaking, removes scuff marks, dries quickly and looks fantastic! We joke about how “squeaky clean” (because the floors ‘squeak’ when we walk on them) our floors are now.

I use the floor cleaner (which I really like) and thought I’d give this a try. I thought it was a floor cleaner that would add shine. Instead it left a very nasty, uneven, visible glue like film on my ceramic tiles which I will likely need to pay someone to remove.

I’ve mopped over it several times with dawn, vinegar, and Lysol trying to remove it myself with no luck. the label needs to be more clear that this will leave a film on your floors and is NOT a cleaning product.

We were seeing footprints just like the photo on the label. The label says the product is safe for vinyl, so I used it on my LVP flooring. It did eliminate footprints and initially looked great until we had a spill.

Anything that spills, including plain water, will ruin the finish and leave spots, at least on LVP. I called the company and was told the label is being revised to exclude use on LV flooring. In the meantime, I was given instructions on how to strip the product from my floor using non-ammonia window cleaner and a scrubber.

I have gone over and over the floor, and can still see residue of the product even though I have rinsed and rinsed. I NOW HAVE A COMPLETE MESS!!! I would be interested in a response from the company for a better way to remove this product.

We installed Bella Cera Ruscello GuardaValla engineered hardwood flooring throughout our home several years ago. It comes with a 50 year warranty on the Satin finish. A couple of years ago my wife started applying Bona High-Gloss Polish every few months.

It looks great at first, then over time we started seeing cloudiness and marks. We tried simple ways to clean it, but even the Bona Floor Cleaner wouldn’t clean the cloudiness and marks Their customer support even suggested buying the Bona Polish Remover, but we were at the point if never applying any Bona product again.

We finally called in a professional floor cleaning company who stripped off all the polish and buffed the original flooring, leaving us our original beautiful Satin flooring. It took them 3 1/2 hours and cost us $750 to restore the flooring to it’s original luster.

We will never use any Bona product on our floor again. Just a damp micro fiber pad. We finally called in a 5-star professional floor cleaning company.

I recently bought Bona wood cleaner and I bought a bottle of polish as well after reading the back of the polish and seeing no warnings about using it on pre-treated flooring. I loved the cleaner. I tried the polish on half of my floor because I thought it would enhance the already subtle shine that my pre-treated wood floor has.

WRONG MOVE! Do NOT put this polish on a pre-treated floor or any floor that is already shiny. It created a thin film of gray haze. It was so noticeable next to the half of the floor that I had not used it on.

After trying to order the polish remover online, I found that it was not available at Amazon, Lowe’s, Home Depo, Walmart, nowhere! I called Bona and told them my story. At first they wanted to tell me to put more polish on and that I hadn’t put enough on.

I would not listen to that. Then they sent me a free bottle of polish remover which I was pleased about. My husband and I had to get down on our hands and knees doing small sections at a time, lots of work, arm pain, back issues, to get that polish off our floor.

It took about 10 hours and ibuprofen. Be very very cautious of the polish. It SHOULD be clearly marked on the back “DO NOT USE ON PRE-TREATED WOOD FLOORS”. It is not marked. Further, when I went online I found many other horror stories from people.

I will buy their cleaner again! I loved it! I will never buy their polish again and I warn all of you to be very very careful. They say to use on a small area first, but they do not give enough warning to use it on a very small area, let it completely dry, and then compare it to the before.

These changes need to be made within corporate Bona.

I bought this product and applied according to directions. Any drop of water left a ring where the wax looks like it has disintegrated. Called Bona about problem and said I wanted to take off the wax because it looked so bad.

Bought Bona product to remove and it only partially takes it off so now I have an entire kitchen, dining room and hallway with areas of wax on and areas with wax off. It has totally ruined my very expensive hardwood floors.

Please do yourself a favor and don’t even apply in the first place. You will regret it and spend a lot of money applying and then partially removing the wax.

My painter accidentally spilled Denatured Alcohol on our new CoreTech Plus by U. S. Floors we just had installed. Took the finish right off about 80 square feet. We emailed the store on possible solutions, they emailed the CoreTech rep, He recommended Hilway Products.

We followed the instructions and put on 3 coats on the entire 650 square feet. The finish looks amazing and it was really easy to do. Shipping and all was great from the FloorGuy. I have over half a gallon left.

Are use this on my new luxury plank vinyl. The material works beautifully. My only complaint is that I was told I would need 25 L containers and have not even finished the first container to put two coats on 1500 ft.

I purchased this as recommended for my recently installed LVT floors. I few times after I mopped the floor I decided to use the water to quick mop my kitchen tile floor before discarding the water solution.

I was quite pleasantly surprised to notice the solution was slowly restoring the color of my grout that I could not get evenly clean throughout the kitchen. The more often I used it the cleaner the entire floor started to look.

I decided to make a stronger solution and used a grout-scrubbing brush to see how clean I could get the grout. AMAZING! I did have to rinse the floor afterwards, though.

We live in a apartment complex that requires that we use OnlyThis product on the flooring. I’m unsure why. It must be cheap flooring. I’ve never lived with such dull floors. It cleans ok. But, absolutely no shine.

I wish there was at least a hint of shine.

Recommended for my new vinyl plank floors. One bottle will last a long time.

We purchased the Pledge Clean It Gentle Wood Floor Cleaner and Revive Floor Gloss to use on our 20 year old Tarkett engineered laminate flooring. We had regularly used Bona floor cleaner but wanted to kick the finish up a notch.

Applied per instructions, we were pleased with the performance of the cleaner. The Revive is another story. We found that the best way to apply it was with a cotton Sh-Mop system that we have used for years with the Bona.

Application had to be rather quick as the Revive tended to ‘dry out’ and smear without really drying out. Afterwards, it can be said that the floors were indeed shinier BUT the positives end there. Even though the floors are more shiny, they left a finish that is much more “grabby” without being sticky.

There is no slide to the treated areas as on the original floor finish making chairs MUCH more difficult to push up to the table. We have used semi-hard plastic slides on the chair legs for years – they screeched and were very hard to push after using the Revive.

I then replaced the plastic tips with felt pads which fared no better. Even though our floors did have areas that were more worn than others, we both agree that that original finish is/was preferred rather than the Revive disaster.

We will not be making that mistake again – keep the Revive for making glitter Christmas ornaments and off your floors! SC Johnson, any response?.

It’s very beautiful when its done correctly but I am having problems removing it off the floor because of the uneven settings of the polish leaving streak’s. I have great appreciation for wood floors and upon trying to remove the polish, what it looked like when I tried to clean it with soap and water, didn’t sit well with me or *my floor*.

I was going along with the instructions which leaves me with stress trying to remove it from *the floor*. I enjoy easy to remove floor products. If you do have any suggestions please send me a message.

I’ve been using Orange Glo for many years and never found anything as simple to use that produces such outstanding results. Three-quarters of my circa 1950s home is covered with original hardwood floors.

Looking at these floors you would think they were a recent addition thanks to Orange Glo. Small scratches disappear with a single application. The simplicity of the process makes this a double thumbs up product.

I vacuum up dust and pet hair; use a damp flat microfiber mop and squirt the letter “S” in a 4-foot area, apply with the wood grain and move on. What it looks like wet is pretty much what it looks like dry.

The added bonus is the natural orange scent. I tried other products and some dull my floors and others just don’t look clean and glossy. Orange Glo is, was and has been the best product of this type for decades.

I beg you, please do NOT buy this for your dark hardwood floors. I have very dark and real hardwood floors. This polish completely destroyed my floors. My home is less than 2 years old and I bought this to see if it would add a bit of shine to my floors, and to my dismay, it made a light blue stain on my floors.

You can actually see where I placed the Orange Glo. I scrubbed for hours and this stuff won’t come off. I took to Google and that’s when I read all of the horror stories. Come to find out that this “glue” only comes off with ammonia/water (1/2 cup ammonia + 1 gallon of hot water) and lots of scrubbing.

You can also use Windex bc it has ammonia in it. Once applied, you can visibly see the Orange Glo. It looks like a milky substance. I then took my scraper and started scraping this garbage off of my wood floors, panel by panel.

It will literally take me months! I can see this working temporarily for light wood or faux wood, but please do not put this on dark wood. Once you try and remove it, it turns into white flakes everywhere.

This stuff should be banned or come with a warning label. Thank you Orange Glo for destroying my very expensive floors! I truly hope a massive lawsuits hits you. Google “How to Remove Orange Glo” and you will see the massive amounts of horror stories.

Please don’t make the same mistake I did!!!.

I was pressed by this product’s ability to restore the shine of the hardwood. I was used to only simply clean the wood floors with ordinary wood floor cleaners resulting in a shiny floor for about half an hour after which footprints where visible again.

Frustrating and horrifying. This product produces a lasting shine and protects against footprints. Very pleasing results. However its ability to hide scratches is not that great. Definitely a must have product to use intermittently between usual cleaning.

This us a great little starter kit. First, you need to do your homework because there are no instructions for anything except the controller. I mounted this on my truck’s fiberglass topper. You need to pay attention to the grounding locations on the panel and provide a ground wire and nut and bolt to them.

Yes, you only need one, but I put in two. The cable connector diameter is 1/4″, and connector diameter is 3/4″, but once you put in one cable, you need more room to push through the 2nd 3/4″ connector.

I drilled a 1/4″ hole next to the 3/4 hole to slide the cable out of the way. You will need grommets and sealant, or I used a marine through-hole connector. Sealed, of course. My truck cap is slightly curved – enough that if I had mounted the solar panel directly, it would have put a bending strain on it and possibly cracked in.

I used 1/4″ wood slices to make up the difference. I also bought rubber sheets (8″x 8″) from Ace Hardware to place under the “feet”. The kit gives you everything you need except the 12v battery to which you connect.

Please note that you connect the battery to the controller first. I use my truck in Search and Rescue support, as a radio relay. This solar panel will help greatly in not running down my battery. Surprisingly, the solarpanel was putting out 12.
