20 Best Floor Lamps For Reading (2023 Updated)

Update after 5 months of use: Don’t buy it. It doesn’t worth that money. Rusted like crazy. Damaged expensive curtain. It is not stainless. It is a cheap magnetic iron covered by protective film. Overpriced 50x or more times.

Works as expected – no rust signs after about a month – no sticking between pairs – very strong sticking within a pair – heavy enough Looks good, doesn’t attract too much attention Little overpriced, but it’s my personal opinion.

Maybe outstanding non-rusting alloys are so expensive. Don’t recommend to order small sets like 3 pairs. Even 6 pairs is barely enough for 34″ wide shower. Problem is not a weight, but curtain waiving.

Strongly recommend. Will order again if needed. Couldn’t find any alternative.

I bought this for my daughter when she went to college six years ago. It was lightweight and the price was right. Returning home during the pandemic, I remarked that it looked as good as new. I began using it, moving it around to brighten whichever room I was in during Zoom calls — I needed one for myself.

This light is the perfect floor lamp for brightening just about any room for any demographic. At this price point, it’s totally illuminating!.

They work well. They stay in place on the shower curtain liner, and provide enough weight to keep the liner from billowing inwards. (I bought 6 pairs. ) They’re easy to install on the curtain. They’re a little bigger than I expected, about 2″ in diameter.

And the most annoying thing about them is that they click and clack loudly against the base of the shower stall whenever the curtain moves. Too bad they’re not rubber coated! All in all I’m glad I bought them, they definitely tamed a billowy shower curtain.

OK as a cheap lamp. Ordered with provision of LED lamps. These were of low wattage and far too dim. Have replaced them with lamps of approx double the voltage and this now provides adequate illumination.

The lamp was easily assembled and as bulbs were included, saved having to order these separately. Fits nicely in a corner so reading light is positioned correctly. Good light and perfect for me.

It is fabulous I am able to do my make up etc with low light .The full light is great covers the whole of the ceiling a lovely warm glow ,thrilled with it Thankyou

This is a beautiful and sturdy lamp. It’s quality and workmanship of this lamp are excellent. It is easy to put together; after unpacking it and reading the instructions, it only took about 20 minutes to assemble.

The lamp is great for a nightstand, or any other table that you want to keep uncluttered with a table top lamp. Although the shade hangs off to the side, the lamp feels very stable due to the surprisingly heavy base.

I am pleased that I finally found a bedside lamp that doesn’t take up a chunk of the space on my nightstand.

Just love it, very cute. Would be better if the bottom is heavier for if it has happened a few times that my arm hit it by mistake, the lamp would get tilted and fall down easily due to the unbalanced heavy weight at the top.

Luckily, I got hold of it in time. I have so far ordered 6 products from Houzz in 3 orders at different times over the past 2 months. Both the rug and the lamp in the attached picture were purchased from Houzz.

I have just used them for a month or a bit more, so it’s too early to tell whether the quality is good or durable. What I can say is, I have so far been very satisfied each time I received their goods.

Not only is the goods well protected and in good condition, the outlook and the quality is always very much close to their product description or what I can see from their pictures. I am about to order another floor lamp from Houzz, and I look forward to this another great surprise.

The colors of the stain glass perfectly match colors in the room. I do wish the packing used environmentally friendly materials. The styrofoam was a mess to clean up and throw out.

It is the perfect height for our reading chair. The lamp goes perfectly with our room. We have gone to many stores and websites and everyone else is asking a lot more for this particular lamp. I was excited to see that Walmart had it for a lot less.

This lamp is everything I hoped it would be, it looks just as good as the pictures and description. This is a beautiful, well made lamp that enhances my home. It came securely packaged and had a very minor assembly, that a child could do.

I am very pleased with this purchase!.

I ordered two of these lamps on Tuesday, and they arrived on Wednesday! They were packaged protectively and relatively easy to assemble. Best of all, they are absolutely gorgeous!! I would recommend using a 40W equiv LED bulb, because they are super bright with a 60W equiv LED.

These are a great addition to our living room!.

I bought this beautiful floor lamp for my Mom. She loves it! Easy to assemble , The Tiffany Style shade is beautiful made of glass in white and very light yellow shade. The pipe and the base is dark brown almost black.

It goes with any furniture style. Recommended.

This is a very nice lamp that was sold by Target and is no longer available. Hopefully, Target will start selling it again.

L’intensité de luminosité est réglable soit avec la télécommande (2 piles AAA non fournies) ou avec les touches présentes sur le lampadaire. La chaleur de lumière peut également être règlé du chaud (jaune) au froid (blanc).

Ambiance tamisée vraiment agréable le soir. Au démarrage , il faut aperer la commande avec le lampadaire, pour cela : appuyer sur on/off jusqu’à clignotement rouge, brancher la prise au secteur , et appuyer sur CCT partie gauche en même temps que la lampe s’allume.

Ensuite la télécommande peut être emantée pour son maintien. Beau produit, avec matériel de qualité. En espérant avoir illuminé votre lecture.

It has a long reach which is what we like. The on/off switch is low and hits the floor but otherwise all good.

The lamp is lovely, fits perfectly in the corner . The base is heavy and it is easy to assemble

I use the Cordless Reading Lamp in my living room behind my favorite chair. I love it because it is bright and will go from mild to bright light. My outlet does not work well and my electrical power goes out periodically in my are of town.

So this light is great. I ordered two one for my basement above my washer/dryer; my pull chain lights do not work well this Cordless Reading Lamp is wonderful and was very easy to put together.

Obviously, you must keep this or any electric lamp dry at all times for your safety and to not void the warranty.

This lamp was not at all what I hoped for. The glass top is not clear but a tinted yellow, as well as the bulb included. This made for poor illumination and a very muted yellow light coming off the lamp.

The lamp was also much shorter than I anticipated (this may have been my fault for not measuring properly) but I was definitely hoping the height was adjustable. The height it low and honestly a bit awkward.

I will say the lamp was sturdy and a nice gold if this is what you are looking for. Unfortunately not for me.

Easy to assemble and nice looking. I am disappointed that the glass globe is amber rather than clear and the bulb does not give much light. OK for ambiance but not enough light for reading. I would return but already disposed of the box.

Easy to assemble. Feels solid. Looks great. Only note is that the glass bowl has a 70’s sunglasses tapered tint to it that’s not well depicted in the photos. Helps defuse light when the lamp is on, but when it’s off it looks like it’s the kind of lamp someone with a closet full of polyester suits and a pack a day habit might have.

I have 3 of them! They have worked in a variety of situations because their design is clean and simple! I have used them in my craft room where that flexible neck helps direct a little spotlight where needed.

I have also swapped out the bulb for growlights. So a very useful lamp!.

First, this is exactly what I thought it would be, barring a few minor things. So I am happy with the purchase. Easy to assemble. Things I would change:I do wish the light itself were lower color temp, such as 2700.

Right now it feels like it sits between 3000K and 5000K which gives it a distinct light. I try to read before bed, so I feel like it is slightly too bright for that (though there is a dimmer you can use).

Shipping – the base is weighted to keep the light from falling over, which is fine. However, in the box, the base is located in the middle of the package which is long. When I got the box, there was a giant rip in the middle of the box because of this.

The product was not damaged, but there should be a better design to manage the weight distribution. Finally, given the material, I feel like the price could be lower but the design is also unique.

The lamp itself is kind of awesome. Its super modern and stays out of the way, yet delivers a lot of light where you need it. Two things though drag down its rating. First, the light switch goes from high to medium to low.

It would be so much better the other way around. Second, the description says it is a black lamp. Well, the base is black and a there is a little black on the side of the light, but otherwise the main support is silver and the light is white on two sides.

The box shows it clearly, but the description and photos do not.

Hi, it was hard to tell from the picture, but this lamp is NOT completely black. It has a black base, but the curved part leading to the LED light is chrome, and then the black starts again for the LED curved light.

The pole is not that sturdy, but for the price, the lamp as a very, very nice quality light for reading. It’s not really good for an area light. Keeping it because of the light quality, as need lamps like this in both the living room and the office.

But, for the design, something like Koncept LEDs are better quality & consistent color throughout (but hundreds of $ more). The other thing about this lamp is is it offers three light settings (dimming the light to 3 total levels, but you have to push through all of them on mine (unless I’m using it wrong) which makes it little more time to turn off.

sturdy, the brightness settings and remote are handy too. does what is expected very happy

Pas de prise jack de sortie audio sur ce PC. Par contre ça boote très vite et sans problème. Au total c’est une bonne machine mais il faut avoir un écran avec une connectique audio/video moderne (HDMI).

The floor lamp bigger glass bowl was chipped in the center ,metal holding leaf ring was coming off. The second rod was not getting fitted over the groove of the first rod. The packaging was not proper when it was shipped from the seller.

I tried to put back all the lamp parts back in the shipping cartoon,it was complicated packing. I have to go to walmart and buy a box of 1. 77 cents to ship back the lamp to the seller. The walmart customer service at Indian land SC was not good,they did not have bigger cartoons available for repacking and return.

I and 78 y/o woman who put the lamp together myself. It was easy enough but I wound up with a whole lot of black electric wire leftover! Beware of that happening. The last pole was tough to screw on because it was slightly bent where one part screwed into the other part.

I just kept fiddling with it until it finally went together.

this lamp is absolutely beautiful! It is so much more beautiful in person than what is pictured. I’ve never seen a lamp that had a design around the glass shade. It is on both the large light, and the small one.

It is heavy too, so it doesn’t tip over easily. I wish the smaller light had a regular bulb – this has a chandelier bulb. I also wish it had the on/off switch on both the top and bottom but it doesn’t.

Otherwise, it is perfect. It lights up my entire room. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it too! I love it!!!.

I will be returning the Lavish Home LED floor lamp. It was a huge disappointment. The assembly was frustrating. The metal poles did not screw together easily and one section never threaded properly and does not fit together well.

The wiring was too long and I had a lot of trouble inserting the excess wire back into the hollow metal poles. The lamp is too short for my needs. The light it gives off looks artificial to me and not nearly as bright as I had expected.

Even with the gooseneck feature I find it very difficult to concentrate light where I need it. The lamp “shade” does not shield glare for my spouse and we cannot get it adjusted so as to provide the light I need without her being annoyed by the glare.

The on/off/dimmer switch is awful. hard to see and hard to locate especially if the lamp is behind you or off to the side. The switch is very awkward to use. Another feature I decided I don’t like once I got the lamp is the AC adapter power supply.

I prefer a standard cord and plug. But, I have to admit the item description clearly stated the lamp used an AC adapter power supply. so, that’s on me.

the ease at which it was to install, put together. I bought 2 of these, one for my hubby on one side of our couch, and 1 for me on the other side! very nice. gentle touch gives 4 levels of lighting and then the off.

comes by way of UPS and takes about 4-5 days delivery. I’m the wife and I put together in 8 mins without reading the instructions! great and my hubby loves it. bright but not harsh levels for tv watching, reading the Bible and napping!.

Seems to be of reasonable quality for the money. The best feature is the 3stage touch dimming feature. The only negative is I have to touch through all the intensity levels to turn I think off. Which can be a bit blinding at times.

If this was better I would have given it a 5 Star.

This lamp is exactly what I needed to begin my 2022 needlepoint tapestry project. I went straight to Wayfair when I began using the black wool. The lamp is easy to put together and when close to me directing light over my shoulder it is cool and I’m able to use the adjustable arm so that I can change my positions in my chair.

Perfect for my project.
