Very easy to assemble and its three fully rotating lamp heads each with independent on-off switches make this lamp my most effective space illuminator of all time! It has a small floor footprint so it is never in the way.

Well built, easy to install. I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality. Looks just like the similar style lamps that cost several times more.

This light is bright and the magnifying glass is really nice for people losing their close vision like me. However this does not work well behind my machine. The lamp is very short and the arms are short.

I can’t get the light over my machine where I would like it. It casts a shadow where I actually need the light the most. The magnifying glass will also not reach my work area. However the quality is good if you can make it work for your work area.

I bought this lamp/magnifier and when I got it home you have to put the pole together by screwing the two pieces to have the one long pole. It wouldn’t stay together. It would split apart and fall over or it would lean.

I took it back to the store and they gave me another. That one seemed fine and I loved it. A couple moths later, same problem. The need to have the pole be all one piece and more sturdy and have the base more weighted.

Others have complained about this. I wish the manufacturer would come out with something to fix it. I would be willing to pay a bit to get a fix kit. Then correct the new ones they are selling in the future.

I love this lamp! I am a knitter, needlepointer, greeting card maker, fiber artist. I have wanted one of these lamps for ages, but they’ve been too expensive. Houzz had the right price: the absolute best price of anyone.

The lamp and magnifier are exactly as described and as superb as I expected from OttLite. I couldn’t believe how quickly this OttLite showed up. Ordering was effortless. I’d never ordered from Houzz, so I read up on it, and it’s rated very highly.

I would like this lamp, however the light is too bright, intense, too cool (vs. warm) for comfortable reading at night. It’s too bad you can’t adjust the brightness of the light like you can in many reading lamps.

Lamp is more suited to crafts, etc. where you’re doing very intricate tasks where extra bright light is needed to see very fine details. Disappointed in the lamp for my intended use. Too much work to return the lamp, so it may be used very infrequently for situations where VERY bright light is needed.

I have been looking a whole year for a “floor lamp” that would fit the needs of my husband and myself regarding our reading habits. We each read many books and magazines, and we never had a reading lamp that “worked out” in our living room.

Anyway, we bought just one of your reading floor lamps even though it seemed a little pricey. Wonder of wonders, it was absolutely PERFECT for our needs, and the compact design doesn’t interfere with the rest of our “cabiney” décor in the living room.

When we want to read, we simply reach up, switch on the lamp and we get light that absolutely mimics all of the natural light you’d ever need for reading. We moved the lamp back and forth between our chairs for all of two days before we got smart and ordered another one.

These lamps are worth every single penny we paid for them! We would recommend these floor lamps too anyone that wants the perfect reading light in a design that won’t interfere with anything else in your living areas.

For years I have searched for the perfect floor lamp, but to no avail. I wanted a lamp that would provide good light for reading and which I could also direct where I wanted, that would also look nice.

All I could ever find were decorative lamps that looked good, but were nearly useless for me to use for reading, until I spotted this lamp in a Sharper Image ad. I ordered it, hoping for the best, and I have not been disappointed! I would definitely buy this lamp again!.

The lamp is okay, but with one problem. The lamp is bright enough and kind of works like it was described, however the dimming function has a problem. The dimmer will not remember its setting if I use a wall switch to turn it on.

And this was specifically mentioned in the products description that it WILL stay on the last dimmer switch setting. So every time I turn it on I have to reset the dimmer level because it will only go on full brightness when turned on.

We were so excited to buy this lamp last month and it worked great in our living room. The lighting was perfect and it matched our decor perfect. In the last week it started to short out and the lighting would randomly flicker before completely going out yesterday randomly.

We were so disappointed. We think it had something to do with the connection down at the bottom of the lamp, maybe the connection shorted out?.

Works well and illuminates the room. The temperature of the light is quite cool – I do not have it on in the later evenings. The lowest illumination setting is still very bright. Frustrating that once the hours are up on the LEDs, then this just gets thrown out – LEDs cannot be replaced.

Design is good.

The Light View XL magnifier really is a winner. The LED’s provide very even light, and the dimming settings are a real plus. Second, the magnifier is large, and much better than the smaller, round lenses.

For aging eyes, the magnification is great, too. The dust cover also helps keep the lens clean. Third, the included pole extension provides useful/practical options. After experimenting with the “floor” option, I opted for the “desktop” option.

The lamp’s footprint (with the anti-tip/stability bar extended from the base), however, does take up a bit of space. Even so, the “swing of the lamp now provides lighting over more of the workbench surface.

Nice to have these options. Be ready when assembling, as the base is heavy (hence the need for the metal stability bar). The spring action in the arm sections also are pretty strong. The weight and fluid action in the arms is quite smooth, but still firm enough to keep the lamp in place where you focus it.

It feels very stable. If there is one point for possible improvement, I would say it is in the swivel mounting, which uses a set screw to keep the lamp arm from moving too far to one side/coming out of its mounting (base or pole extension).

This does restrict the side to side capability somewhat, but in a floor mounting, this would be a definite safety consideration. Since I needed to be able to swing the lamp out over my work area and away from the back wall, I set up the lamp in a back corner of my work bench and loosened the set screw to allow free swivel movement.

I know this may conflict a bit with the safety aspect, but I do not intend to lift the arm of the lamp up and out of its base. Being no engineer, not sure how else to resolve this safety – convenience issue.

All said, this is a great lamp and perfect solution for my work bench and my need to examine/work with very small items. The lamp is great-looking in either of its configurations, it is reasonably priced, and I easily recommend it.

My initial use of the “1 x LightView XL Magnifying Glass Light: 2in1 Floor Standing to Table Lamp,” proved to me I sorely needed this lamp! I used this lamp solely to do beadweaving; I sew small seed beads together to create art jewelry.

I immediately noticed the difference from the Ott light I was previously using to this light. Initially I used only the lamp without the magnifier, which was great by itself. Then I figured I purchased this lamp for the extra magnification, so I might as well use it! Now I cannot bead without it! The construction is sturdy and when I move the lamp arm closer, it stays put, which I appreciate.

It arrived so well packaged. A box, in a box in a box, styrofoam, 0 damage. Easy assembly. Excellent light, exactly as described! My problem with this light is that the head does not swivel to face me.

I need to have it behind my reclining couch. The description does not explain that the base must be directly in front of you in order to have the light in the right position to cross stitch. Therefore, in a smaller room or reclining chair for instance, it is difficult to get set up.

I was really hoping to keep it hidden behind and between couch and end table and be able to pull over and down for cross stitching to be hands free. It doesn’t work that way. Unfortunately, it is either sideways or upside down with the cover facing you.

The magnification and the dimmable light are amazing though. I just don’t like that you have to have it directly in front of you. Am I wrong about this?.

Purchased for my 85 yr old mother who spends a lot of time putting puzzles together. She absolutely loves it!!! The gentle light makes it easier for her to see the pieces.

I love lamp. First, and foremost, this thing is sturdy and very flexible. I’ve used a few different lamps over the years, and this one is by far the easiest to position, with a massive range that easily covers my entire desk.

The head also rotates and tilts on two axis. It moves smoothly and stays where you put it. The lamp features a ring of LED lights controlled by a simple dimmer and it gets super bright at full strength.

There’s a flip-top lid over the magnifying lens, so even if you don’t care about that feature it still makes for a powerful and versatile desk lamp. That said, I think you’ll want to use the magnifying lens.

It’s massive, for starters. There’s a lot of room to move the model around and still be well in view. I also like the viewing distance, as some magnifying lenses need you to get a little closer than I’m usually comfortable with.

I had a lot of requirements when doing research for a portable lamp. I needed it to be stable and have a flexible neck. When checking reviews though, many of the other products said they weren t weighted and that was an issue.

This lamp is not only sturdy but it s weighted base has wheels, awesome! I usually have issues with segmented neck, they just lose their strength over time and flop around. This one holds position beautifully.

What really impressed me with this lamp that I wasn t expecting at all, was Kelvin color temperature controls. These controls actually let you control how warm, coo, high the light is, so you can go from reading to work on small parts.

The glass lens was a great idea to avoid scratched unlike the plastic ones you usually see. The package arrived packed very carefully and it was the same price as other. Great job Brighttech!.

I like everything about this product! First and foremost, I love the contemporary look so much that I contemplated getting a second one. This floor lamp looks exactly like it does on the website but even better in person because of the sturdy material and the large circular light rings which can be angled several ways.

I do not have any complaints although I did give product quality 4**** because it would be even nicer if the light was slightly brighter. So far everyone has complimented this purchase.

I bought two of these both require multiple pushes of the on button to get it to function. I wound up with the wrong color on the second one. The first one seems brighter than the second one, which is why I bought the second one.

Trying to get the $20 “Gift card giveaway” is hell on Instagram. The pole holding the light is flimsy. Shipping was excellent. Setup was easy. I like the style.

I’ve had the sky lamp for years now and it’s still working great. We needed another and found this model. It’s so cool looking, very bright and casts amazing shadows. It really is art and function together.

I still could use another for the house. I like the Helix as well. Construction is really well done. My other LED lamp is still super bright and no problems at all. Great product.

He reads in bed every night (or before afternoon nap time) before going to sleep. Over the last year or 2 he started having trouble reading if he didn’t have enough direct light on his book and the bedside lamp was not sufficient or direct enough.

I found this reading lamp on Amazon and bought it because it was a good height to use while lying in bed and had the adjustable gooseneck. With the gooseneck he can raise or lower or rotate the beam of light to accommodate whatever position he is lying/sitting in.

The lamp base fit perfectly between his night table and bedside and with the gooseneck can be pushed straight up so he doesn’t bash his head when getting in and out of bed. The on/off switch is conveniently located right on the underside of the lamp head and can activated without having to reach more than a few inches.

He loves this lamp so much that I bought him a second one last week for his birthday to use when we stay at our kids house. I am seriously considering getting another one for myself to use when I do my fine craft (counted cross-stitch, beading) projects.

The light output can be adjusted from dim to very bright depending on how much light you need at the moment. Overall, an absolutely versatile, useful and functional addition to life when you need more light.

Also, the product description says the LED will last over 20 years and so far I have no reason to disagree.

We bought this lamp at a flash sale price, which was incredible, because this is a really beautiful lamp. It is very stable and stately. It was packed extremely well, and it was relatively easy to assemble, using one helper.

For the top bowl we use two 75W (max) dimmable LED bulbs. For the side lights we use 40W (max) small rounded bulbs, so they don’t protrude beyond the glass shades.

I purchased this for my small living room that needed extra lighting. It goes well with a contemporary brushed silver chandelier I have on the other side of the sofa. Very pleased with the way it looks.

This lamp is very heavy and sturdy–just what I wanted. I found the correct 40watt bulbs easily at [. ] but I recommend waiting to buy them till you get the lamp. I took the sticker from the fixture that said what to buy with me and it was a little confusing because there were 2 different 40 watt Type G bulbs, one with a skinny screw-in part and one with a fatter one (you need the fatter one as shown on the sticker).

The light is great. Solid lamp. Looks nice and doesn’t take up too much space. Easy assembly, 5 mins. The only thing for me is the projection of the light. It’s definitely for single space work, or ambient lighting in a corner, etc.

I had been looking at this lamp for some time when I decided to go ahead with the purchase. While looking stylish in staged and photoshopped pictures, this lamp actually has some key flaws. – It is unbalanced and falls quite easily.

– It self disassembles during normal use. As you adjust it from side to side, the stem will come unscrewed. – The aggressive forward lean of the stem means this lamp actually takes up MORE floor footprint than a vertically stemmed lamp, not less like the image suggests.

You have to put the lamp farther from any furniture next to it. – The switch is on the cable which sits on the floor. This means you can’t fully hide the cable. Sleek design and exposed cables aren’t really friends.

If you want to put it behind a piece of furniture as its form could suggest, you have to be able to access behind the piece of furniture to use this product. – It was not clear at purchase it only accepts candelabra type bulbs.

The lamp size and color fits my space perfectly. It’s behind a table and chair so a bit protected. Would be more concerned with stability if it were out in the open. Didn’t like the length of the cord by the shade.

Beautiful, modern lamp! It’s sturdy and assembly was very easy. Casts a very good light (it’s hard to find a lamp that does that!) and I like that you can move the plate around to direct the flow of light and dim the light if needed.

I mostly use the warmest light setting as the other three are a bit too “cold” for me but I like having the options. I got the bronze one and it fits very well in my apartment. It doesn’t take up too much space, looks elegant and is not too imposing – just what I was looking for.

Lamps are great, solid base, won’t tip, nice lighting and I love all the different lighting options. They’re attractive and unassuming. Only complaint is if you tip the lamp head as in the picture the light path hits you directly in the eyes when standing/ walking through the room so it needs to be pointed directly up.

Still provides ample illumination but would look nicer tilted.
