20 Best Floor Jack For Suv (2023 Updated)

I needed a low profile jack for my mustang, but still wanted something to also use on my truck. This thing works great. The only down side is it’s heavy, which I don’t view as a bad thing, but if you are looking for something to transport or take in and out of your shop this could be a pain.

I ordered this jack for my low riding cobra and GT40 kit cars. It is really nice. The low profile gets deep under the cars and easily lifts them. The rubber lift cover is nice and only 3. 5″ high is fantastic.

The axle on one of the rear casters was bent due to getting dropped during shipping and it wouldn’t roll. I called the company and they sent me 2 new ones for free. So far, it’s working like a champ.

Highly recommended.

The unit creeps down slowly after elevated if you do not close the pressure relief valve with a wrench. The provided pump handle does not provide enough force by itself using your hands. Perhaps pump handle could have a removable cross piece (bar) to provide additional leverage for tightening the pressure relief valve.

Aside from this, unit works fine.

For the price this is a good deal. The 2. 5 ton Torin Floor Jack will lift most all standard size cars, trucks, and SUV’s It has a minimum lifting height of 5-5/16 inches and a maximum lifting height of 14-15/16 inches.

It weighs a total of 28. 4 pounds for easy maneuverability. Includes a handy plastic blow mold carrying case for easy storage when not in use. My only issue with this jack is when you are ready to lower your vehicle it takes some getting used to.

If your not careful the vehicle will come down to fast. Other than that this is overall a very good product.

This jack appears to be very well built, and can’t be beat for the price. I looked around a lot, and most floor jacks have pretty average or worse ratings, even the expensive ones. I used it to rotate the tires on a 2012 Santa Fe (~4000-lbs) and was able to easily lift half the vehicle at once (which is well within the jack’s load range).

It is bigger and heavier than I expected, which is a good thing. I have used a 2 ton Mack for years but it finally cratered. This one blows my old one away. Yes, this is a budget jack, so you are probably not going to be using it on the race track.

If that is what you are looking for, you probably are not going to be satisfied. This one is perfect for changing tires and occasional mechanic work. I just purchased this today, so I am hesitant to give it 5 stars without knowing how long it will ladt.

It did come with a case which is a plus, but I am not sure I will find it that useful. (better than having to throw away a cardboard box I guess). <><.

Impact tool did not take off even 1 lug nut on 2001 mazda miata. electric jack work but very noisy. Don’t expect it to last. air compressor did air up tire. Bought for Granddaughter. Very disappointed

Had flat tire on the way to commute by train- early early morning. Took supplied scissor jack out of car and took 15 minutes just to get the car up by hand. never again! with this easy electric jack👍

Although I gave up driving, I still am a rider with my Son. Having a flat is not fun, so this allows both of us to accomplish something, without disaster physically. Thanks for the Jack, it will come in handy.

The jack arrived in just a short couple of days after it was ordered. it was in perfect condition despite the heavy weight of the unit. I’ve used the jack twice now and it worked flawlessly at lifting the corners of my car.

i recommend using a puck around the pinch seams that most cars seem to have. the handle is long and makes for easy jacking. the unit is maneuverable enough and appears to be a solid unit. i am happy to see that Summit Racing sells the seals for the hydraulics of this unit in the event something gives way.

The jack is excellent for sliding and lifting my car. I could never get a regular 3 ton jack underneath the rocker panels unless I used a small jack designed for a compact car(my car is a Camaro SS) to start the lift.

But the Performance Tool low profile jack slides underneath without hitting any of the softer parts of car body.

I decided to save a few dollars on the lighter weight variations (that are still very heavy and laughably show people picking them up) and go for the all steel version that is incredibly heavy, as it’s never going to need to be lifted.

If you need a jack to fit in your car trunk, these full size auto style jacks aren’t ones you’d want to be carrying around. The smaller Torin’s are for that. The long reach one does seem to have a little more height range, and while unlikely I’ll ever use it, good to know it’s there.

The metal wheels are quite unbelievably noisy on a cobblestone driveway, and mine came with markings of what can only be from packaging something with wet paint against foam packaging. I scuffed it flat and spot painted it instead of returning.

It’s a jack after all. The function is what we’re after, but. Perhaps a little sloppy of them. The jack is responsive. Seems to hold for long durations. Releases slowly. I really like the back pedal to move it into position before cranking.

That’s a lot more useful than I thought it would be. I’m not sure I understand why only the lower part of the crank arm has a foam covering. The top is a knurled painted metal. Effectively I never touch the foam lower section.

But. Really, no complaints at all. I did wait for a coupon on one, but I don’t think it saved me very much. I do miss those super coupons from HF of old. Without them I barely go in these days.

Since I don’t need to carry my floor jack around under one arm and no longer race them jack weight is no longer an issue for me. Interestingly enough the tapered wheels do make it easy to roll around this heavy (100lbs) jack on the floor especially if you are laying on the floor trying to position the jack way under the vehicle.

This jack, like the Daytona jack stands, appear to be over built which adds to the safety appeal and longevity. The two most appreciated features are the long reach and lift height. Lift height is as advertised.

The Rapid Pump works well but still short of the 3. 5 pumps advertised to lift the load. HF should stop advertising something they are not delivering too well. The foot pump works, but there must be something wrong with my shoes because I end up using the handle when I should be using the foot pump.

I hope I still have the same opinion 91 days to 5 years after the purchase date given all the negative comments about the short life of the pump.

I have had the jack for 2. 5 mos. now , and has served me well. Low clearance and high lift are just what the doctor ordered. My wife has a jeep/grand cherokee , and i have a 3/4 ton chevy , works wonderful for both vehicles.

Easy opperation. A must for any garage.

Good size and build quality at a reasonable price point.

I replaced a leaking, Larin 2 ton aluminum quick pump jack with the Torin 2 1/2 ton aluminum and steel jack. I’ve had it now for a couple of weeks. It does the jobs I need it to do with ease. It is not a quick pump design so it requires over 30 pumps to extend it to its top height.

The good news is the force required to pump it up is close to half the force required for the quick pump. So far the jack is working perfectly. It bled properly on the first attempt and it does not leak, so far.

I also believe there will be o-rings and seals available to repair it should the need ever arise. That is not the case with the Larin jack. Over all I’m very satisfied with the jack. Tractor Supply was the only store in my area with a jack the size and type I was looking for at a reasonable price, in stock.

I was surprised and happy to find it since I was in the middle of a job, with a car up on stands and no way to get it down.

I purchased this jack after looking at all the models available from various distributors. The fact that the jack is made up of mostly all steel parts (wheels) was a top factor in my purchase. I have used this jack on various applications and it has met or exceeded my expectations.

Set up was very simple and it did NOT require bleeding like the directions indicated it might. The jack has good lifting capacity and length of lift is adequate, even for a 4×4 pickup. I am very pleased with my value on this TSC purchase.

My 40 year old 2 1/2 ton floor jack finally gave up the ghost on me. Since I don’t have a garage anymore, I needed something I could carry to my driveway that was lighter. This one worked great and was priced right.

It looks to me many of the low cost floor jacks from $50_$0. 00 dollars are made by the same manufacturer. This little jack has a lift pad that is 1-7/8″ outside measurement. I doubt you can find a lift pad that small.

The lift limit is 15″ measured from the floor. I’d wager a less expensive jack with the same lift capacity would work just as well. (think Goodyear, NAPA, Pittsburgh, Harbor Freight etc). Why spend more than you need to? I’d also wonder if a hydraulic ‘bottle jack’ with the same capacities as this jack might be a better investment.

A user is going to have to bend a knee while using this floor jack and/or a bottle jack.

As expected at this weight capacity and material this jack is heavy. If your expecting to lug this around at the track then expect one heck of a workout. I use mine in a smooth floor garage and mostly work on large vehicles such as 1 ton diesels and large frame soccer mom and kid haulers.

It will easily lift half of the vehicle at a time and the little cars that need extra clearance have not been a problem yet. It has a 2 stage cylinder system which makes the handle load softer when weight increases towards max capacity.

Great unit so far. I expect this to last for 20 years like one of my other units did. Even came with extra cylinder seals just in case.

Came with the pipe hole bent so the pipe wouldn’t fit. I had to spend 30 minutes finding a way to bend the hole so the pipe would fit. Great build for sure since it took me forever to bend it back. No idea how it was bent in the first place.

It didn’t go up high enough for me to even take off my wheel (09 Cadillac CTS). I just went back to the back that came with the car. No idea what the point of the product is. Very disappointed.

Exactly what I was needing. Low profile (several friends have corvettes), large capacity, quick rise is handy. Smooth valve activation for lowering in a controlled manner.

I used it once before noticing that the package of the floor jack had oil stains on it. I put the jack on a piece of cardboard overnight and it was also stained with oil the next day. Returned it for a refund.

It performed well when I used it the one time, but didn’t wanted to deal with a leaking floor jack. I used the car on my subaru outback and it was able to lift the car high enough on the central floor points, so that I was able to put jack stands on both sides.

Very heavy duty for most consumers. Even the handle tube is thick heavy duty steel. Quick rise, low enough profile for most cars. If anything comes up, I’ll edit this review… otherwise very happy.

I have a 180 gallon fisg tank, filtered by a 45 g sump, the marketed items thru pet stores and on line aquaria supplyiers are anemic at best. To vac that tank properly with a python hose vac is marginal at best, 25 feet awau most ofbthe faucets 60 psi is mute over the distance, ond dumping 50 gallons ow water down the drain while siphoning 50 g, then pumpind another 50 g back can be costly! I used it Saturday for the first time, it has great suction and makes short work of cleaning a nasty bottom.

There are 3 fish 12-14″ long another 3 are 8-10″ long. Alot of waste! Wgatever your purpose, you will be satisfied!.

I used this pump as an emergency to pump my septic tank water into my drain field. Last time I had my septic emptied out it cost me around 600 dollar. I had to suck all the water out of to get to my submersible Septic pump.

It pumped around 800 gallons from a depth of 6 feet. The out let house I used was 120 feet long. It was 100 degrees F and this pump worked like a champ! Works fine even sucking up dirty water. 2 thumbs up!!.

I bought this to pump water from a lake up to a tank on the second floor of my camp. Horizontal distance of about 150 feet. I had to prime the hose from the lake to the pump, but the pump did the job with no problem.

I ran the pump off a generator. I had previously used a similar 12 volt pump for the same job. It also worked well.

I purchased this jack on January 1st, 2017 for $199. 99 plus a $20. 00 coupon (and of course tax) and it worked great. I love it other than the fact that you have to pump it a bazillion times to raise anything! Not a big deal for me but take that into consideration if you’re looking for a jack.

It’s fairly low profile and gets under my cars easily. It also raises them to almost 2 feet so that’s also a plus. However, I just took a look under it and it’s now leaking fluid so I’m guessing the seal(s) are shot.

Unfortunately, while there are replacement parts, the seal(s) aren’t available so looks like I’ll be in the market for a new jack. But 5 years (with a grand total of $193. 94) comes out to $38. 79 a year so you really can’t complain much.

I wish it lasted longer, but that’s not bad. Will I buy this one again? Maybe, but probably not since I’m now older and would more than likely opt for a quick pump jack, especially since the price on this jack has gone up a TON!! But again, 5 years for less than $40 a year isn’t bad.

It is NOT a rapid pump, which I personally like. A few more EASY pumps and I don’t have to lean on the handle. Also, allows for better height control. At first I kind of frowned on the two piece handle but now appreciate it.

I can get way under a vehicle with half of the handle and still use the jack. The one downer, mentioned many times in other reviews, is the need to fill the jack with hydraulic fluid right out of the box.

I feel this is cheap on their part. Should be FULL and ready to go. Upside is a 3 year warranty. As for durability, only had it for a short while, so it remains to be seen. So far, a great jack at a great price.

What a fine jack. Light and easy to move around yet well built and large enough to do any lifting I require on my personal vehicles. So much better than a smaller yet heavier steel jack with the same lift rating I’ve been using since purchasing 35 years ago.

Wider, more stable stance with a much higher lift height using less effort. The carry handles are a very welcomed feature as well. Couldn’t be happier with this puchase.

After deciding my 25+ year old floorjack would not meet my new “low profile” jack needs, and after much research, ordered the JEGS 80006. Appreciated the free shipping and no sales tax. Found similar jacks with other vendors but at higher prices.

Used the jack already to swap out summer tires/wheels for winters on two vehicles. Very smooth operation and padded saddle worked with both vehicles damage-free. Highly recommend this option for a low profile, aluminum light weight floor jack.

I shopped around trying to stay around $100 and got this one because it had the extra lift height. I drive and SUV and girlfriend drives a sedan so I need low clearance and a decent height of lift. The 360 degree swivel on the jack handle actually makes the mechanism feel like it could fail because it is so flimsy and I don’t think I would ever need that feature anyway.

The lifting is agonizingly slow, but I suppose that is part of the lower price point. The extra lift piece will come in handy for my SUV but the holder for it on the side of the jack doesn’t keep it secure, so it will fall out if the jack is carried in a certain orientation.

A positive aspect is the 65 pound weight for a 3-ton capacity. most of the 2-plus ton jacks are 100lbs or heavier (if they are not aluminum). I would spend the money on an aluminum one if I used it more than just a couple times a year.

I believe in versatility and this fits in well for use in my ’15 FX4 and my ’87 IROC-Z. This has a detachable adapter (which neatly stores on the side) to give a couple inches extra for SUVS and pickem-up trucks.

For the cost one could do worse. This is smooth operating and easy lift even when down low beneath the ground hugging IROC-Z. Rated at 3 tons, it is more than capable in handling either vehicle. This does not come with Jack stands so I would suggest making sure you have those and actual wheel chocks for safety.

I’ve worked in the motor trade over 40 years using all types of lifting equipment. Needed a heavy duty Jack to work on Motorhome and electric vehicle both heavy. This Jack works great lifting both vehicles easily in a very controllable manner.

Simple gadget to use. Heavier than I thought. Takes the back ache out of jacking a car. Would purchase again but maybe next time get one on wheels. Would be easier for jacking car from a central point rather than side.

It serves my purpose. I needed a decent quality light floor jack to take to the race track. My steel jacks are too heavy to lug around anymore. This jacks appears to be of good quality and is easily lifted into my truck.

It is more than strong enough to lift one side of my Mustang at a time allowing 2 tires to be changed without repositioning the jack.

I did not know what to expect when I ordered online. The jack was much nicer in person than the pictures. It was easily better quality than the jacks at Harbor Freights. Originally I was looking for a light weight jack I could carry around in the trunk of my car for emergencies.

(Original equipment jacks are terrible. ) It is a little bulky for the trunk of my car, measuring approximately 11×27 but I have no regrets buying this. I have never owned better. I kind of wish I had bought the 3 ton.
