A read for everyone who wants to keep it super simple when it comes to making money work for them. The book spreads the experience of the author to compare his wealth experience be tween too fathers.

With simple pictures, shows how one is able to accumulate assets, while the other feeds into liabilities. The argument which one’s home is a liability is well versed, proving the need to acquire rental property and run it as an asset.

The reading is smooth and quick, even my two year old is able to sit through it.

I’ve read some disappointed reviews about this book. If you’re looking for a get rich quick tell-all book, keep shopping. This book makes no promises, as some claim, except what is written on the cover: “What the Rich Teach Their Kids about Money- That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!” It is a starting point book for those who are tired of living paycheck to paycheck.

It is chock full of good ideas on how to get yourself in better financial shape. As one reviewer lamented, and I will promise again here: “You will still have to think for yourself and figure out how to make it work in your own life, because he doesn’t give you step-by-step instructions”.

This is because every person is different. What works for me might not work for you, but by taking the great advice that this book offers and actively applying it to your situation, it IS possible to better your financial situation; and that alone is worth whatever price you pay for this book.

This book explains a lot of the impediment to growth inculcated in the mind of the poor. Poor folks mindsets are frozen and stratified rather than flowing like a river into the uncharted places. I love the book.

I am trying to influence my wife and children to develop a can do spirit and a respect of their greatest resource that is their mind. Because we can only do as much as we believe. Our belief about money and business must be on point so that we can be in control and free to do what is right which is to prosper.

I love my dad who was a hard worker but has a poor mindset. I struggle to come out this mentality and its not an easy task. If you have kids please demonstrate the right way of doing things and dont be afraid to fail as long as you are alive.

It is very hard to follow “The Total Money Makeover” which was excellent. This book is an abbreviated version and is good. There was a large amount of time spent on bankruptcy early in the book which I guess is necessary but may be discouraging for those it doesn’t apply- I am sure that is the challenge writing to a varied audience.

As a retiree it would have been helpful for a little more discussion for opportunities /challenges retirees might be facing. More discussion about paying off the house versus investing, investment allocations for retirees and tax implications would be helpful.

Overall, U enjoyed the book as I always do. I believe I have read all of Dave’s books and Chris Hogan’s as well. It clearly is a great book for my young adult children- I have purchased the Total Money Makeover as a gift for all of them.

I have not started the book right now. – Reading Complete Guide to money. Really enjoying it but will be reading it next. I wondered if I can get the Financial Peace main component at a separate price since I have all of Dave’s books that go along with the program.

I did not completely follow Dave’s baby steps but am debt free have a 12 month emergency fund, two houses paid off, a pension, military disability, and over 600,000 in several retirement 403b, 457, Roths, and other several other roth programs.

I can access Social Security this year so all retirement accounts are just setting there. Thanks.

I am currently going through this program with a 5th and an 8th grader. and it is engaging for both of them. I would recommend waiting on the student text with younger students, as I did with my 5th grader, because I think he would miss a lot of information while being focused on writing things down.

But the student text is very helpful for my 8th grader! I would have given the program 5 stars except for the fact that there has been A LOT of information in the student text that is not even touched on in the video lessons and activities provided as teacher resources.

So it would have been useful for the teacher to also have a student text to make sure all the info was covered that later would end up in the chapter assessment. Overall, I would recommend this program to any homeschooler.

We have not begun this course yet; we purchased it for the fall semester. Based on the online preview and looking through the student workbooks, both my children and myself look forward to our study in the fall.

It looks like a well designed class that will equip its students with terminology as well as skills to implement today for Godly personal financial management, especially in light of His command for proper and responsible stewardship with contentment.

My daughter and I enjoy watching two to three segments of this program every Tuesday night. My daughter is learning financial terms, learning about the power of compound interest, and why debt should be avoided at all costs.

She enjoys Anthony’s commentary and thinks he is funny. All in all I’m very happy with her progress so far, and will enjoy finishing out the series with her. We do plan to purchase the high school edition, and college editions as she gets older.

Depending on how the COVID pandemic is handled, we may also purchase the entrepreneur pack in preparation for next summer.

It goes into the psychology of how women relate to money; I found myself laughing out loud at this section. Because it is ridiculous, and because it’s true. I’m a working single parent; I was afraid this book would focus on the housewife crowd.

But, the advice is universally sound for all women. It inspired me to ask for a promotion at work. (I got a raise – which more than paid for the book in the first week – and the promotion paperwork has been filed, which will result in a second raise.

Yay!) I also moved my young daughters’ savings into higher interest rate accounts and involved and explained to them every step and the reasoning behind it. They were facinated and I know it will make a lasting impression, I wouldn’t have done any of that if it weren’t for the book.

It is very informative and defines and de-mystifies all that bank and broker jargon. She includes a month-by-month plan with a few steps each month, to help ease women into taking control of their money.

I hope she comes out with a second edition because the economy has changed so much since this was written & I wonder if any of her advice / strategies have changed.

This is a book every YOUNG person should study to help them with their financial situations. This book opens your eyes on how to handle your money wisely and not get in the trap of over spending. Advice on how to save for a home and how to set up a retirement plan that is extraordinarily simple.

I had read this book before and enjoyed it. I bought two copies for my neices. Orman provides good no nonsense advice for men and women. I feel I can trust her advice. I have followed her advice in many aspects of my finances, and have not suffered from the recession as yet.

Yes, I lost money on investments, but I have time for those investments to recover. I was reasonable well positioned prior to the downturn. Each chapter contains action steps to get the reader on firm financial footing.

Highly recommneded.

There’s a lot of good content in this book which is extremely helpful, however I can’t help but feel that half of the book is a giant ad for companies that Tony either owns or is associated with. He finished the book suggesting you donate your spare change to a company that helps feed starving kids (great), which is a company that he owns (not so great).

I have no doubt that Tony is a great and caring individual, and he comes from the right place with this book, but a lot of it feels like it’s designed to draw you to use his products. The book is very much built for the American market, and while some principals are universal, a lot of the advice is not relevant for the NZ market.

He hypes up this super portfolio for the whole book, which could have just been shared from the start and saved about 200 pages on this already long and dense read. The book in the middle stages heavily relies on using an app to determine your savings goals and similar, however the app is iOs exclusive, so if you’re like me with an android phone then a good 10% of the book can’t actually be accessed.

Save yourself 30 bucks and just google the principals of the book. If you’re still interested, buy it, but saving that use your $30 dollars for something else.

His teachings are a very good fit for us. Its a different niche from Dave Ramsey. Depends upon where you are in your financial journey. The negative part is forget about his app ! Not doable. Cant even find it.

I have read the first chapter of this book, which I received free. The opinions expressed are my own. I was a little let down by all the recommendations and into sat the beginning of the book. However once you get past that, you can get a good general idea of what he expects you to get out of the book.

From what I gather it seems you are going to change your way of thinking. And the way he explains himself is really inspiring. You can immediatly tell why he is a great motivational speaker. I really think other readers will be inspired and will learn a thing or two about how to better themselves financially.

Now before you think this a get rich scheme book, um no it’s nots. It’s a book with really good tips. I’ve enjoyed it. I also might add that all the proceeds from his book goes to feed America. I think that is a great idea.

So you get some help and your helping others. It’s great!.

Of course not everyone is interested in investing their own money — but for those that are, this great book by Phil Town is well worth a read. Town has a lot of credibility & follows many of Warren Buffetts rules for successful investing.

I first borrowed a copy from the local library and decided to get one for my investment library. The author systematically lays out the approach of investing in the stock market. Although I have not finished reading the whole book, but it has already lead me to realize some mistakes I made in my past investment history.

I am confident with the knowledge I gain from this book, I will be more profitable in the future.

Making money on the money you already made. A few months ago my brother Javier recommended this book on investing. It should be called Getting Rich, for Dummies! Its that simple. But in actuality it is called Rule #1 by Phil Town.

I read it and it is so simple to do that it will make you wonder why everyone isnt doing it. To make a long story short, you will invest in companies of YOUR choice, looking for bargains, SALES for you ladies.

Now who doesnt love a good SALE! The point of the book is to buy $1 dollar for. 50 cents and sell it for $1. Now how simple does that sound? Theres no catch! You will learn the basics from finding the Price of the company, what the SALE price should be, and when to buy and sell.

There are FREE tools on the internet that will help you to know EXACTLY when to buy and sell. I know you are probably thinking, this sounds too good to be true, right? If its too good to be true, then it probably is, right? Well, not this time.

Trust me there is no bigger Pessimist than I. If there is a flaw in something, I will usually find it! By the way, for those of you who were wondering how much that penny would amount to, roughly $10,737,418.

Warren Buffett’s pick – as the best book written on his sort of investment approach to the market. Buffett’s investment firm, Berkshire Hathaway, is the 9th largest company on the SP500, so he must know something investment, right? As Buffett points out in numerous public places (including clips of him being interviewed, see Youtube), Chapter 8 (on market fluctuations and how to intelligently deal with them) and Chapter 20 (on the risk of catathrophic loss and how to intelligently deal with it) are the most important chapters.

The Intelligent Investor was originally written in 1949, so many of Graham’s examples are very dated. However the advice itself, as Buffett notes, is timeless. Each chapter in this particular Revised Edition has been updated by Jason Zweig with newer examples that extend to 2003.

Zweig’s writing and examples are clearer than Graham’s in my opinion. There is enough here for what Graham calls the “Defensive Investor” (those of us who buy and hold index funds for decades, essentially dollar cost averaging, allocation, re-allocation, diversification etc.

etc. ) to be worth a read, although much of the book pertains to the “Enterprising Investor” (those of us who aren’t primarily Defensive Investors). Age old advice about confusing speculation with investing and psychological / emotional factors (such as resisting the temptation to sell when the market tanks or buying stocks at excesssively high prices when the market is bullish) abound.

Good time tested advice that you probably won’t hear from your stock broker or your cryptocurrency seller.

It’s the book everyone should read before investing and to learn more about investing. It is revised and updated. Some of the methods are outdated a little (updated in recent times) however this will remain one of the most relevant investing books, and relates specifically to value investing.

A modern classic from a very successful investor and thought leader. Highly recommended read.

This book can be viewed as a summary of ‘Security Analysis’, another of the authors famous books which is generally considered to be the more hard-core text book version on the subject of investing and stock analysis.

This book will help an inspiring investor understand what he/she is buying and how to justify the purchase price through arithmetic. Benjamin Graham was a fantastic mathematician so there are plenty of great examples in accounting used.

The chapter commentary relates modern examples of the early 2000’s tech boom-and-bust to Ben Graham’s teachings throughout each chapter and the reader will find that this book is still extremely relevant in today’s markets.

Recommended to those who are more familiar with financial markets, as the author’s writing style assumes his audience to be on a more informed level on the subject of financial markets and equities. For those that enjoy and want a little more, check out ‘Security Analysis’, by Benjamin Graham and David Dodd.

You wont be disappointed.

Good common sense information backed up by facts and examples. Delivers a convincing argument on the benefits of low cost index funds. A little bit repetitive in some parts.

John Bogle started the first index fund back in the 1970’s – this book outlines how his investment philosophy will make you a winner in the long term ensuring you get your fair share of market returns and that you don’t line the pockets of fund managers with exorbitant fees.

Bogle founded Vanguard and they are a co-op owned by their investors and don’t answer to Shareholders or private owners – “no man can serve two masters”. read this book, invest continually for many years using the power of compound interest and end up wealthy – simple really.

Dave Ramsey is an awesome person as far as showing you how to live debt free. The Total Money Makeover book is all you need to learn this. I bought the workbook because I thought it would give me the tools to reach my goals.

It didn’t because it’s just a lot of brainwashing techniques and stories to keep you focused. I’m already focused so The workbook is just a regurgitation of the book. I haven’t read any other books for getting out of debt, so I can’t compare it.

All I can say is if you have the book, skip the workbook. Remember you are trying to get out of debt, so stop buying all his other products. You should be able to teach your kids about money without buying another book by Dave Ramsey.

He is a millionaire already, so how are you to reach his status if you keep purchasing his products. Be careful.

This book has great appeal to investors who are prepared to spend a lot of time analysing their shares, and are not too worried about the tax implications. Australia’s capital tax system is different to the US and is a disincentive for speculators or short-term investors.

For longer term, more defensive investors, I would recommend reading The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham or Contrarian Investment Strategies by David Dreman.

This is not your average “quick and easy to make money in stocks” type of book. It is a text book for serious investors, and try as the author might, he can’t make it simple and light. if you are serious about investing in the stock markets this is the book for you.

Just be prepared to study this book and study hard you will. It will give you confidence about the right stocks to invest in, teaching you about everything you need to learn about the company’s finances and how to evaluate the stock and when and how to buy and sell.

The only negative issue I have is that there are not enough real companies from which the author draws his examples. Otherwise an excellent buy.

As soon as I got into the nitty gritty of the profit first system the penny dropped, Ive tried for years to understand my business accounts without success. The way profit first works allows you to see exactly what moneys for what, Im now drawing a wage and putting profit away without worrying what my tax bill will be and if Ive got the money to pay it, Ive found it truly inspirational.

Easy read and easy to action. But don’t be fooled – there’s a lot of learning in this book. I’ve read this at least 3 times and it’s transformed the way I think about profits in my business. I get something out of it each time I read it.

Disclamer: This product is used in a software development workstation by day, and gaming rig by night, with a SuperMicro SuperChassis 747BTQ-R1K62B barebone kit, as an upgrade to a pair of Xeon E5-2630 v2.

I came to this part with great hopes of reviving my old workstation as I patiently wait for Zen3 Threadrippers. I have been considering it since the day I built the machine originally, but the 2k+ price tag per chip was way out of budget for me and I had to settle for way way less than I wanted.

Since this day, my only concern was the cooling performance of my current gear. While the case is designed to withstand pretty much anything you could throw at it, I wasn’t so sure of the tower coolers than came with the kit.

Fast forward 6 years and, as expected, these CPUs are clear top of the line products. The performance difference with the previous midrange chips that were in this system is outstanding and, even higher than expected.

It is amazing to see the difference 800 mHz extra base clock can do. My cooling concerns were also way overblown as going from 65 to 150 watt TDP only raised the temps from 35 to 68 deg C under a heavy Prime95 load.

While it isn’t a modern CPU with tons of features like AVX2, fancy new virtualisation extensions, and insane performance, a pair of those is still more than capable today. I often run multiple VMs for development and.

well. I frankly don’t even care to close them when I fire up a game. The amount of PCIe lanes is more than enough to get a GPU, sound card, and multiple NVME SSDs in your system, just like you would expect of a modern high end machine.

Besides the still limited clock speed by today’s standards, it will perform incredibly well in almost every scenarios and are a great value with perfs that are on par with an 8700k (per chip) as long as your workload scales well.

The Xeon E3-1275 v2 was the perfect CPU upgrade to keep my 2011 pre-built PC relevant in 2021. I had been running the original Core i3 2120 for the entire time, but it had been showing its age lately.

I felt this platform was still very much usable even 10 years later and I was not willing to part ways with it just yet in favor of an entirely new system, which would have cost quite a bit more money.

This particular CPU model comes with integrated graphics, something many Xeons do not have enabled. A significantly more expensive Core i7-3770K might yield a slight performance advantage, but my Joshua H61 motherboard would not be able to overclock it and even if it could, the motherboard only supports the included proprietary cooler, which I dont believe would be able to keep the 3770K comfortably cool anyway.

So, I opted for the E3-1275 v2. Yes, it is the end of the road for this platform processor-wise, but it has brought snappy performance to and breathed new life into my aging system. (I also maxed out the motherboards memory capacity to 16GB, which certainly helps.

) Id say its good for another 45 years. I recommend this CPU for those who: 1. Want to squeeze a little more life out of their LGA 1155 systems, 2. Have anything less than a Core i7 or non-hyperthreaded Xeon,and 3.

Can find one of these for under $100.

I am a 22 year old female who is about to graduate college with an engineering degree. I’ve worked extremely hard to minimize any student loans that I’ve had. And now will be facing the challenges of the financial adult world.

I have an aggressive loan payback plan. However I need to start looking at investing in more long-term money goals. This book was a huge help! It really gave me a better understanding of the financial world as a whole and is allowing me to best plan out my goals (using the baby steps of course)! Definitely not my first read of the Ramsey collection and definitely will not be my last.

I was looking for a book to be educated about my investments, bonds, money markets, index funds, HSA, 403B, IRAs, and Roth IRAs. It was recommended by your staff to read Complete Guide to Money. I was disappointed that there were only 20 pages of very basic knowledge.

The rest was geared toward those starting out or those who don’t have knowledge of budgets, saving and money. I’m 67, retired, have NO debt and a widow looking for knowledge to manage the investments left to me by my financially educated late husband.

This book while a very good book was not what I asked for. We learned this in the 90’s and lived by it but it has nothing I need at this stage in my life.

I have received my books in Ghana. I had to route it through an address in Wyoming Delaware lol. I absolutely love the book together with the Total Money Makeover which I purchased with. I have had the Kindle ebook but there is nothing like having the real book at hand.

I read a lot of books, not too many that I finish in a week. This book confirmed everything that Ive been thinking about. Knowing that people are projections and not a lot are in tune with their higher self.

When youre a shifter, everything around you shifts. An amazing book.

It is about belief. If you don’t believe what is written in this precious book, if you don’t use it, no wonder that you’re there, where you are right now. If you believe and use knowledge from this book and put it into action, you experience unbelievable miracles in your life.

This book shows that sound principles remain unchanged despite the passage of time.

There is a lot of calculator for the price. Of course you need to download the manual which is free and available online. I feel that the display is weak, so I replaced the Crso32 battery which did not help.

I note that in addition to the four screws on the back, the case is a snap fit together. Also please be carefutl to note the battery directdion. the calc is 3. 2 x 6. 1 x. 71″ has a 10 difit display.

The power is battery only. The five loan keys are different color for easy use. Ilike the simple on and off all it one key. I can recommend this calculator to anyone.

This isn’t a regular calculator to just use every day. This has functions that are necessary for stuff beyond the norm. Some college classes require this particular calculator for their students. So, in saying that, and asking my kid his opinion, “It’s great.

It works. It does what it’s supposed to do for what I need it for. ” So there ya have it.

This is my second TI BA-II Plus calculator for my second attempt at CFA. I did not have any trouble in using the earlier calculator back in 2011 except for tough sticky keys; however, with this new version, I found the keys to be smooth and register inputs easily.

All in all I am happy with the product, especially since it’s much cheaper than the alternate HP model.

This book teaches you everything that the United States school system failed to teach us. If you are 40 are younger this book is a must have. It will help you live a better life. If you are older than 40 this book will help you also.

When it comes to money listen to Suze Orman.

This is a great book for the 20 somethings and 30 somethings. It is direct and straight foward just as Suze is. It it clearly outlined and easy to read and follow and most importantly to the point. You won’t find ridicolous advices here such as “How to shave off $10 a day on spending”.

That’s just pretentious for the Fabulous, Young and Broke! What you will find is explanations and step by step advice. From Fixing your credit to finding and buying your first house. It is and essential book to have on the shelf in this tough economy, especially for the Young.

Change wont’ come immediately as Suze explain but it is doable if you’re commited about your finances!.

I bought this book for my son who is just starting out on his own. This book is a must for all young adults. I just wish I had bought it sooner. It gives very practical financial advise for kids with college debt ect.

This calculator has most of the capabilities for a financial person and it is approved for professional exams, CFA. It has a nice hard cover to protect it as with most TI calcultors, except for TI BAII Plus Professional.

HOWEVER, please do not expect it to be a easy to change the battery. You will be assured that your calculator will get ding when it comes time to change your battery. Also, please don’t expect to view the values you have entered for your all variables on the screen.

like how you can see a bunch of values on a regular TI-83/84/89 display. Just not possible on a one line display with this calculator! And every time you need to do a fresh calculation, it is a pain to have to hit “2nd” + “clear work” before starting.

Aside from being the “approved” calculator you can bring to the exam, it is another piece of junk set to collect dust at the end of the day. Stick with your regular TI 83/84/89 for all your non-exam use because the Financial Application has all you need.

Good: Timeless wisdom and a process for anyone to change their relationship with money. The real world stories of how people applied the book to their lives was probably the most compelling part. Ok: I realize they wanted to remain as true to the orignal version as possible and make sure the content and process were accessible to all people, however I think the advice could be a bit more modernized for the internet age.

Also, the book could flow a bit better. Despite it’s flaws this book should be required reading for high school students.

Sometimes too simple, sometimes repeatative, some I agreed with, some disagreed with but ultimately a very good book. Some good conservative financial advice given from a solid (but not preaching) eithical prespective.

In addition to financial advice, at many times the book challenges and motivates you to look deep inside yourself to truely evaluate your priorities in life. You are challenged to look at your relationship with money (both on the income and expenditure sides), your spending patterns and how that squares with your true self and your goals.

Liked it well enough that I reccomended it to the wife, best friend, good co-worker and now you. Are you, making a living or making a dying? What are your spending habits? Do they square up with your satisfaction and goals? Will you have enough to become financially independent?.

Great book to get you seriously thinking about your life, happiness, money, and how these integrate and influence each other. Some very thought provoking passages and practical exercises. I suggest reading right through once and going back to the exercises which will take some time to do, however just reading it makes some powerful impressions.

This E5-1650 v3 6-core is replacing an E5-2620 v4 8-core in a server. The 1650 fired up without a problem and has been running a while with no odd behavior. It is 3. 5GHz as opposed to the 2620’s 2. 1GHz, and you can tell the difference in response.

Where it will not beat the 2620 is under a heavy load. Those cores make a difference. This server isn’t normally under a heavy load, so it isn’t so critical to have all of the cores. I like the E5-1650 V3, and I sold the E5-2620 V4.

Do NOT put this into a narrow ILM socket. There are very few coolers available, and they all suck. Also, considering that it reaches max rated temperatures pretty quickly at 100% load, watercooling is a good idea.

In most cases, it performs about the same as my 3930K. but when rendering, it easily does 3-4X as much work in a given time frame.
