20 Best Feat For Rogue 5E (2023 Updated)

This book is awesome for every DND player. Just get the book. It’s a well-made hardcover with full color pages and tons of relevant info to everyone’s campaign. It is worth the price I paid (about $23 or $24 I think) and it’s just a nice thing to own.

My one issue with this order is the small-ish dent on the top back cover. My other books in this order were fine probably because they were wrapped in plastic. Maybe the dent came before shipping. I’ll never know, but the dent on my otherwise perfect book will always be there.

There are so many typos in this manual that I’m wondering if it’s a copy rather than an original. How can something this well read not have had these corrected by now? Did no-one prof read it? Easily one typo per page.

Every (except for headings for some reason) time ‘orc’ occurs in the manual it’s printed as ‘ore’. But there are lots and lots of other typos and weird corrupted words. I can nearly always work out what the intent of the sentence was but it’s surprising that SO MANY errors made it to print.

That said it’s a good manual, sturdy hard-back construction. A few things could be explained better but all in all still worth purchasing, unless there is a newer edition or re-print available in which case (assuming the errors have been fixed) I’d recommend getting that edition instead.

Remember back in the day of having your dm’s screen being 11 inches tall that is no longer the case this screen is short only about 8 inches tall which helps when your moving your figures about it also has nearly all the stuff that you as a gm needs to have to figure out what the effects of this or that are during your game this is one of those things that you think you don’t need but when you actually have you love.

If your on the fence about buying this I’d say buy it and see for yourself how much easier your game runs with it.

A solid adventure from the current edition of D&D. This remake of what was considered the most difficult dungeon in D&D ever is really good…well, it depends largely on your DM. Some encounters with the environment can be misinterpreted and lead to some interesting results.

Regardless it’s an incredible (and loooong) adventure not for the faint of heart.

Volos Guide is a moderately sized supplement expanding your D&D 5E games. The book is divided into three parts. The first describes the societies of several iconic monsters and their kin, including goblinoids, orc, and even mind flayers!! The second part provides rules for creating using monster races as PCs and NPCs.

The third part is an expansion of the Monster Manual, focusing primarily on monsters related to those described in the first two parts, from rare goblinoids to the physical manifestations of beholder dreams! All together, I would recommend this product to anyone interested in delving into these monsters.

However if your interest is just playing a single, non-standard race, D&Ds downloadable content may be an easier and less expensive option. I still rate this product five starts, the amount of material in Volos Guide really adds to my campaign!.

On top of adding more monsters for me to get horribly disemboweled upon, it also covers a number of other races whom I can upon as allies, from the simple Kenku, to the graceful Tabaxi, or the hardened and might Goliath.

Additionally, it also gives information on layouts of Mind Flayer hives, so I know how to navigate one, in case I’m caught and cleric Kreia can’t save me from the brain-suckers in time. It’s a great deal of information laid out in an easy an understandable way, most city guards would comprehend it, if they wouldn’t draw all over it with their half-eaten crayons.

I’m glad Kiva convinced me to buy it for her, but she thinks it’s mean that I’m getting more use reading it than her.

Great Sourcebook, highly recommended. 13 New races available. I own the Players Handbook, Dungeon Masters Guide, Monster Manual, Xanathars Guide to Everything and Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes as source books and I would say it deserves a high ranking on the list regardless of your DM style as the character options and lore are great.

I can now be a Goblin Wizard or a Kenku Bard.

If you’re torn between the Starter Set and the Essentials Kit, start with the Essentials. This is a great introduction to Dungeons and Dragons and gives you all the beginner tools you’ll need. You’ll probably end up buying more dice, but that was inevitable anyways.

Dragon of Icespire Peak was my first DM experience and it’s been pretty good. The module can be a little unbalanced at times, and I’ve had to learn some things and make adjustments on the fly, lowering or raising the threat levels appropriately to keep it interesting but not completely deadly for my players…we still had some deaths.

Even with the character losses, everyone was still having a great time and I think it added some big twists in their journey and an extra gravity to the situation that helped them learn to be a bit more careful and clever with how they approached things.

It also has a pretty open structure for the story and all the NPCs, which I found a little annoying and difficult to work with at first, but later found that it gave me more freedom to get creative with the characters and their personalities.

Part of the initial frustration was on me though, since I didn’t take the time to read or at least gloss through the entire module before starting. I had no idea where creative freedoms could be taken and where they couldn’t, so I just didn’t, and my NPCs fell a little flat and had very little to offer by way of conversation and personality because of it.

Another valuable lesson learned during this beginner session. All and all, we’ve had a great time and it’s been an excellent learning experience for everybody. I highly recommend!.

I’m pretty familiar with D&D 5e, and I purchased this mostly to see if it would be a good kit to pass around to groups of new players. The good news is: yes, it is! The bad news: I now have a lot of extra, lower-quality stuff that I don’t need and will want to reinforce or update before sharing.

Dice included: 1d4, 4d6, 1d8, 1d10, 1d10 percentage, 2d20. You’ll want more, but you could manage with just those. A small cardboard box is also included, which I assume is for storing the dice and cards.

The map is double-sided with a hex grid for the regional view. (The hex is not large enough for miniatures and is just to indicate distance. The set also doesn’t include information about working with a grid, anyway.

) The DM’s screen is a condensed (in terms of space, not text) version of the Dungeon Master’s Screen Reincarnated. The only information it seems to be missing is exhaustion stages. It’s full color, but it’s also made out of a lightweight cardstock, and it already showed edge wear when I took it out of the box.

For the price, we can’t expect a quality board like the Screen Reincarnated, but DMs will probably want to add a bit of packing tape to reinforce the edges. The rulebook is a condensed (in terms of content) version of the free Basic Rules with an added class (Bard); two Archetypes (one more than Basic) for each class; some magic items, and two pages on Sidekicks.

(Note that animal sidekicks are not included in this and leveling options are limited. We can probably expect Sidekicks to be fully officially released in another publication. ) Background options are also a bit different from the Basic Rules.

Information is included for characters and Sidekicks up to level 6. It’s a little unfortunate that pertinent information for DMs isn’t duplicated in the adventure book; you can expect to pass the rulebook around a lot during play.

The included character sheets don’t include a page for spells. You’ll probably end up printing off more anyway, but with several spellcasters included in the player options, it’s a little odd not to include something for marking spells.

Again, you’ll be passing the rulebook around a lot. Glancing through, the adventure itself looks complex and interesting. It gives the players a home base in the town of Phandalin, and there are several options for different quests and dungeons set in the area.

I wouldn’t have minded buying it outside of the Essentials Kit; as expected, it looks like a great introductory campaign set. The cards are both interesting and a little disappointing. Included are cards on perforated cardstock for: initiative order, status conditions, premade Sidekick characters, magic items, and combat rules.

Like another reviewer, I really wish they weren’t perforated. Even cutting them out ourselves with a scissors would have made for a better effect. They have some good content on them, though, and it’s nice to be able to hand them out.

The Combat cards are a thorough disappointment, though. They explain how you start combat and take turns, but they don’t explain what can happen on a player’s turn. In my experience, it’s easy for a DM to get combat started and supervise turn order, but new (and sometimes old) players can always use a refresher on what their options are each time their turn comes up.

Overall, this is a great starter set. The learning curve is still pretty high (especially for the DM), but with as complex as D&D can be, this is a decent introduction. If you’ve already been collecting D&D books and peripherals, you might want the adventure for introducing some new players, but you won’t want anything else in the set.

Overall, Waterdeep Dragon Heist is an excellent module for creating a nuanced setting, and an interesting quest line. It does require an experienced DM however, as there’s a vast number of things to consider when running the opening arc, let alone the branching possibilities as the story goes on.

Lost Mines of Phandelver is far easier to DM, whereas Dragon Heist offers far more rich complexity for storytellers and players. There are also a few minor printing errors, largely due to a few misalignments with ink for some titles and maps.

It’s minor, however, and only on a few pages. Either way, it’s a great springboard for Fifth Edition, and good for intermediate players.

A visually amazing book, an awesome adventure, lets you feel the life of city. A good starting adventure for 1st to 5th level characters

Great set of adventures in far North of Faerun. Needs some DM prep work to make it really shine (tip: the Alexandrian and Eventyr websites have lots of good advice about this). Also consider also picking up Legacy of the Crystal Shard for some more adventures in the same setting (as well as MUCH better descriptions of the Ten Towns).

Mash both together for maximum coolness (heh).

The campaign is a lot of fun as I’m using it as a guide more than anything. The book itself has many incorrect use of words throughout the campaign. There are some misspelling and my book cam with a dark blue ink line covering half of one page and the entirety of the other page.

Very frustrating to see such a simple error be overlooked. Everything else is great though.

I have a 9 dice set monthly subscription and the variety has been pretty good. I was really impressed by the selection of dice sent the first two months. The third month’s selection was good, but I was less wowed than the first two.

I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next month.

These new books well printed but be warned they are almost stupidly white. Neon white compared to the rest of the mainly dark color scheme of the rest of the D&D books for 5th. The info in the two books Xanathar’s Guide to Everything Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything is not new just updated.

The new book (Monsters of the Multiverse) is similar to how Volo’s Guide grouped monsters from the first few campaigns. If you have every other book up until now my advice pump the breaks on this one unless the price point is very comfortable for you because it will come out individually later this year so you can get it then and avoid having doubles unless you prefer that.

The DM screen is absolutely gorgeous and possibly my favorite part of the set honestly. I know I am a collector, so I will always never fear doubles so if you have enough coin then double away. As for newcomers buy this set or the non alternate set if you don’t have the 2 preexisting books from the set.

Volo and Tasha help immensely in a DM’s hands, it answers a lot of those “I dunno” questions like “How long does it take to craft a magic item and what is the cost?” You can use resources like this set to help your party build characters they like and outfit them with tools and proficiencies in the games they can quickly use that are beyond the core ruleset and as a DM you have complete control over whether or not you can use or not use any part from those 2 preexisting books the first chapters in each cover that aspect in case a player questions that fact.

I recommend it to new and old players just make sure you know that only one book in this set is actually new material.

This alternate cover set is probably the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. They are high quality, well made and the white covers contrast perfectly against the black, alternate (foil) cover core books I previously purchased.

There are so many little details you don’t see in the product photos that make these really stand out, like the holographic foil in the art rings and in the D&D logos on the spines. The cover artwork itself is gorgeous and the DM screen is stunning.

They feel smooth to the touch and the white makes everything pop! I was worried about buying these at first (because of the price), but having them in hand now, the purchase feels totally justified. If you have the expendable cash to grab this set, I say go for it! It’s definitely a luxury item, but they will make an incredible addition to any hardback collection.

A quick note about buying specifically from Game Nerdz: This was my first time buying anything from this store and I was a bit worried because they actually had the lowest price out of everywhere I looked, so I thought it might not be legit, but I took the risk anyway because I couldn’t afford to pay more anywhere else.

I reached to out to customer service about shipping times and what to expect and they responded very quickly and were extremely helpful! This put my mind at ease and the product showed up very fast! It was also well packaged to the point that nothing would have been damaged even if the postal service had tried.

(This was not the case with books I ordered from Amazon. ) Overall, I was very pleased with my experience here and will definitely be buying from this store again!.

These books are simply beautiful to look at. The best looking dnd books I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this to anyone except new players and collectors. Most veteran players will already have a copy of Tasha’s and Xanathar’s, and copies of Volo’s and the Tome of Foes, both of which Monsters of the Multiverse serves to replace.

The new races are a tad disappointing, especially now that subraces no longer seem to be a thing, thus ruining the internal consistency of the rules. It’s not a bad thing, it just feels jarring. There were also a few races that should have been reprinted in the book that weren’t.

The updated stat blocks are really nice though, but as a primarilly player the player options were a mild disappointment. If you know someone who likes fancy dnd books or have a friend who really wants to get into the game, this is still an excellent thing to get for them, no doubt about it.

These adventures are great on their own as one (or two-ish) shots, but also make excellent filler in a campaign when the DM needs a few sessions to let their batteries recharge. I very much appreciated the inclusiveness present in a lot of these adventures; it is good to see D&D stretch itself and become more welcoming for diverse sets of players.

Of course, some people have seen this as the biggest negative of these adventures. To them, I say that you can still have fun with these adventures, just modify them to better fit your idea of what fantasy can be.

The adventures we have tried are all great. There’s something for every niche, from horror to romp. They’re easy to adjust for character level, as long as it’s not too far. It’s been easy to insert them as a short session or two in our ongoing campaign, especially since one character is from Candlekeep.

It really should be called CandleDeep.

I got this for my wife, as she wanted to try DMing. We went though it together and really loved the ideas presented in the book. Adventures in Candlekeep Mysteries can easily be plugged in to any ongoing campaign or be used as a full campaign itself.

Well worth the price.

I haven’t played through the campaign yet, but by the looks of it it sounds fun. It is nice to add another beginner campaign to the list so I can play with other new players and not have to use the same starter campaign again.

Comes with 1 set of dice (no bag to hold them in), campaign book, rule book, and premade character sheets. Condition of the box and contents were perfect, no complaints there. I was a little sad that the box didn’t include any D&D Beyond codes like the Essentials Kit did.

In fact, at the time of purchase, this campaign isn’t even available on D&D Beyond at all. I think this might be because of the Target exclusivity. But still, I don’t understand why WoTC doesn’t include a free code for D&D Beyond or at least a discount code of some sort.

I prefer using the physical copies more often than the digital ones, but it is still nice to have both. But there is NO WAY I am going to pay full price for both versions. In the Essentials Kit, I got a free copy on D&D Beyond AND they included 3 MORE campaigns to play through after the main one included in the physical set.

So why they don’t at least give us the digital copy of this Starter Set seems odd. Until they start including codes in their products (or discounts) I will probably have to rate 4 stars or less.

For the price, this is the worst of the starter sets. with Lost Mines of Phandelver and Dragon of Icespire Peak frequently available for under ten dollars, you could pick up both for the price of this and have much, much more material.

This box is mostly air. There’s a set of cheap dice – one each. There’s the rules book and the adventure book. There’s a cardboard piece to take up space. That’s it. The adventure is okay, not great.

About half a dozen encounters total, none particularly creative or cohesive. The overarching story is not interesting but contrived. Overall this adventure left a lot to be desired, especially for the price.

Buy Lost Mines or Dragon of Icespire Peak for better starting adventures. Download the free basic rules and a free starting adventure (there’s plenty free or very cheap online from various sources). Get all three for less than the price of this box set.

You’ll have more material to work with and not lose anything in terms of advice for beginners.

This is the 3rd starter set for D&D 5th Edition. It comes with dice, characters, the rules, and a great introductory adventure for an aspiring (or experienced) Dungeon Master and up to 5 players. In the vein of the Starter Set’s: Lost Mine of Phandelver and the Essentials Kit’s: Dragon of Icespire Peak this set details a small area and rough sandbox of quests and encounters ultimately culminating in a finale for everyone.

This set is geared towards new players and DMs with no prior experience, and walks through the basics of playing and running the game.

Of all the published 5e adventures, the Lost Mine of Phandelver and the Dragon of Icespire Peak are the best. They give you a world to explore and quest in, whereas the other 5e adventures give a railroad style campaign narrative or an overwhelming poorly organized jumble (Curse of Strahd is an exception – Curse of Strahd is great too).

For character creation, the Essentials Kit rules are great, especially for beginners or rules-light folks (like me!) – they give you the essential D&D character races, classes, backgrounds and spells, rather than the analysis-paralysis-inducing glut of character and spell options in the Player’s Handbook.

Spellcaster’s spell lists are included in their class description, which I really like. Likewise, the monsters in the Lost Mine of Phandelver and Dragon of Icespire Peak appendices are the quintessential D&D monsters – goblins, orcs, dragons, ogres, owlbears, centaurs, undead, cultists, mimics, stirges, with a smattering of exotic pretties like the doppleganger and nothic – you can run a lot of awesome D&D adventures with them alone, sans Monster Manual! The MM does have all those cool, adventure-inspiring monster write-ups, but I actually prefer the brief monster descriptions in these adventure books – the details aren’t necessary when the monsters are already placed in an adventure, and I prefer to imagine up my own monster personalities/descriptions.

(Although when it comes to moster tactics, there’s no beating The Monsters Know What They’re Doing – an essential book for any 5e DM). For any DM who wants to really study the game and learn it, these are the products to do it: with a tight set of familiar spell, monster, magic item, and character archetypes and the core mechanics of the system, without the dizzying fluff of the DMG, MM, and PHB.

My driver arrived on 06/23/2022 about 4 weeks earlier than the estimated time. I’ve played 72 holes so far and the weight and feel are incredible. I chose the 12 degree with all black color scheme with Winn Dri-Tac Midsize, standard length with a Fujukura Ventus Black 8 (Velecore) XStiff shaft to match my Rouge ST Max 6 Hybrbrid (also part of my Rouge upgrade this year).

My previous driver was the Callaway GBB Epic 13. 5 degree Adjusted down 1 degree with the same shaft and I’m not noticing much difference in the distance but the feel with the Rouge ST MAX D is definitely noticeable and a more crisp sound with direct ball strikes but the forgiveness isn’t noticeable as advertised but I hit the fairway with either one.

Again like a few of the Rouge ST MAX Irons I ordered the grip is misaligned with the club head so when setting up your shot the line on the grip being off will play mind tricks on you. For an $1100 driver I expected more of an upgrade.

I will have Irons and Driver re-gripped properly soon before developing bad habits.

I was having trouble with the middle distances in my bag. I ended up trading in 5 and 6 g425 hybrids for st max 11 wood, st max 6 hybrid, st max os 7 hybrid. So glad I did. Callaway have hit a homerun with the st max lineup.

I haven’t played golf this good, or had this much fun playing golf, in years. All because of the clubs. Easy to hit clubs that produce amazing results. Mishits are almost non existent. Feel at impact is awesome.

Feels powerful. They go high and straight. They hold a green. All because of the clubs. I am getting pars and birdies and all I did was find the right callaway clubs for my game. Thanks callaway. I plan to get the st max os 8 hybrid and the st max 7 wood as well.

After my incredible experience with the callaway st max clubs i just got I imagine the whole bag will be callaway soon enough.
