Hey everyone, just wanted to quickly give my impressions on the new Samsung S95B QD-Oled tv I got: Perfect uniformity, all the way down to 1% grey fields No color tinting, even on white it is pristine Input lag numbers provided below with Leo Bodnar 4k tester The brightness… wow, way brighter than the my G1 oled, way way brighter The entire image looks more 3d depth than any display I have seen before Motion is much cleaner than the G1 Zero image retention, tested against the G1, which gets it right away, huge difference here Anti glare is more effective than the G1 The tv screen feels and looks like glass (apparently the tv has Cornings new gorilla/astra glass) compared the LG oleds that have a plastic feel to the screen The QD Oled is the best display I have ever seen in my life, especially for gaming.

The uniformity is perfect, the brightness is incredible, perfect blacks, motion that is so clear and sharp, no input lag, VRR and the colors… wow. QD Oled tech is looking to fix all the issue I have with wrgb: No tinting, even at extreme angles No vertical banding, even down to 1% grey slides!! Pixel structure is very tight on QD Oled, not on wrgb Motion is clearer The QD Oled is like if you took an qled and combined with and Oled and then gave it better than plasma uniformity and crt depth of image and colors and you get an idea what this display is like.

4ms on Fastest input lag setting/ 13ms on faster setting/ didn’t bother checking fast setting Game mode with Game Motion plus turned on at 4k: 13ms with fastest input lag setting Game mode with Game Motion plus and BFI at 4k 60: 35ms , has less flicker than LG G1 in bfi with fastest input lag setting PC Mode at 4k : 9.

2ms on Fastest input lag setting Some special notes: You can have Still use medium and High Peak Brightness in Game mode and with Game Motion plus so BFI from a brightness standpoint is possible now, hopefully they can get the lag down in that mode! PC mode does 4:4:4 and allows you to still use peak brightness medium and high which is amazing and I see no brightness difference over non pc mode and no dimming in either modes with logo dimming off.

In PC mode you cannot select Game Motion Plus. Below I am going answer many questions I have gotten on this tv: 1: No vertical banding at any IRE or any color or panning screens, zero dse on the screen.

Watching Hockey is next level on this tv! 2: Viewing angles are as far as you want to go with no tinting, it is something you actually will notice in a good way. 3: I left the screen on for 12hrs straight yesterday and had it playing random 4k game clips at max brightness.

The tv screen and back metal backplate was cold to the touch. My LG G1 will eventually get warm doing something like that. 4: No image retention. I was asked to test leaving screens with bright yellow and even over 20-30 mins sitting there, no image retention.

These displays are like crt in that regard, very robust image retention compared to wrgb which my LG G1 shows retention after 10-20 seconds. This was done with pixel shifting off and logo dimming off at max brightness and peak brightness at High, also tested at medium and same results, no image retention.

5: VRR works perfectly. There is some flicker on loading and menu screens like Halo Infinite. I have not encountered any other VRR flickering in gameplay. Issues I have seen on this tv: 1: The pixel shift seems to sometimes revert back to on after turning the tv off and turning it back on.

Have to go into the menu to turn on and off again to turn it off. 2: The panels are very thin, mine has a slight warping/bend probably due to shipping. Nothing that is noticable unless really looking for it.

So just be careful moving it. 3: There is some VRR flicker in some Halo Infinite menus, have not seen other instance yet. I hope this information helps.

Quick Review: This TV has a lot of good going for it but it takes more than it should at this price point to get there. – -1 star: remote – -1 star: overall engineering – -1 star: Tizen Lost my Sony A9G to a lightning storm, current A9J is a 2021 model and after research and reading reviews I opted to for the Samsung 65” S95B.

Here are some reasons I removed some stars: • -1 Star: Digital services may come and go however TV hardware inputs are forever. The minimalist Samsung remote has sponsored streaming services like Prime and Disney+ but it takes too button clicks to access the HDMI inputs (menu, arrow over, select this, click that).

Samsung tried really hard to make this an inconvenience • -1 Star: TV is flimsy to the point where it has a minor bend to the screen. I am not the first to mention this in a review but I’ll mention just how flimsy the tabletop stand is.

For the rare few of you that will use the stand assembly will leave you frustrated and asking how does an expensive TV come with such a poorly designed stand. • -1 Star: Everything now has sponsored results show before what you are actually searching for, this TV’s operating system is no exception.

Even if you create shortcuts for HDMI inputs or alternative streaming services you are not able to place them in front of Samsung’s sponsored content adding an additional (or several) button clicks to access what you are looking for.

Samsung does not understand their clients and those willing to purchase a TV at this price point do not want to continuously be reminded of sponsored movies, streaming services, etc. Settings you will want to change to make this picture descent, or at least resemble that of what an OLED should look like.

After all you paid for an OLED the image should look like it however I have noticed that the TV will still set the picture depending on source. Even after changing image settings below and setting to “all sources” the TV will still randomly change picture settings depending on the app, for instance watching 4K on the Prime app will automatically change the picture to FilmMaker mode, I didn’t ask it to change and there is no way to change it back because when you click Menu it pauses the program and changes back into the previous picture mode.

Under Picture expert mode: • Turn Off Intelligent Mode – It is anything but intelligent unless you like eye fatigue and bias blue • Dynamic Contrast – OFF • Color Space – Warm1 • Saturation – Level 5 • Brightness enhancement – Low Under General -> Power: • Leave automatic brightness on but lower setting to 25 • Turn off everything else.

Beautiful TV with gorgeous picture and ridiculously clean screen. No dse or pink tinting and easily the widest viewing angles of any other tech. Samsung did a great job recently fixing its filmmaker mode on a recent update but the TV still needs a lot of work.

Tizen is still slow and brutal to use but luckily I use all external devices so not a huge deal for me but may be for some. The auto color space function does not work and needs to be switched manually for each content when necessary.

They need to add a dynamic tone mapping toggle like their competitors offer as there is still some undefeatable mapping happening still even in filmmaker mode. They need to fix motion controls as well as even when off there is still some level applied which still causes some artifacts not to mention they are still easily in third place when it comes to their motion processing.

They also need to concede and offer Dolby Vision as the rest of the market has already jumped on the DV train. I have a very much love hate relationship with this TV. It has great picture that can really wow at times but still has lots of bugs that just kill the user experience.

It really is the next level TV tech but just feels rushed or just poorly implemented on Samsungs part. It can easily be the TV of the year with a little more attention and fixes to the software but as it stands now I am still considering returning for an LG G2.

Even as amazing and more capable as the QD OLED is, unless side by side, LG still gives an amazing picture, but with better software. So choice is best picture, clean panels and great game mode with cruddy software, features that don’t work right and other bugs that make for a frustrating experience vs a not as good but still impressive picture, slight panel lottery and equally great game mode with better software with features that work correctly? I will see what other fixes they offer between now and when my return window closes and continue weighing my options.

I really like this Product. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to buy a new TV for their home. It is very reliable for a great TV watching experience. It is definitely worth all of the money that it costs.

I would purchase this item again just to have one of the best products that Samsung has.

A perfect TV for those looking for a good TV that won’t break the bank. Don’t expect QLED or OLED picture quality BUT if you are upgrading from an older LED/LCD you will notice a nice jump in picture quality.

The jump in picture quality from a 10 year old Samsung was readily apparent. The unit is also very light weight so getting it out of the box is easily accomplished by just 1 person. If you have limited space where you are going to place the TV on top of, the distance between the leg stands is just shy of 35 inches meaning the TV can be placed on a fairly small coffee table, bookcase, or other piece of furniture.

Many other TV’s have leg stands that are extremely spread out, almost to the edges of the actual unit. With some adjustments the colour reproduction is very pleasing. I was very surprised how good 4k Netflix looked both in colour and how detailed the picture was.

The remote is decent but I found myself going back to my Cable providers remote as it just has more options. The TV has an excellent set up feature when you first turn it in. Easy to follow and get rolling within 5 minutes.

The sound is typical of that from a TV these days. Passable but not definitely not optimal. I was able to get slightly deeper sound by adjusting the equalizer but the reality is TV speakers are there as a last resort.

This is a great TV when you accept what it is. A mid range LED TV with good colour and picture. A better unit will cost hundreds more. But for the price I felt good having a name brand TV that has a track record of producing solid TVs.

What an upgrade from my Samsung UN55J6300 55” 1080p TV from about 7 years ago to this 75” 4K top tier beast. By far one of the best non-OLED 4k premium TVs on the market in 2023. The initial set-up was quick and easy for a large TV with pop-out foam cushions to install the stand while the TV is standing.

Once the TV was situated in place the Slim One Connect box sits behind hidden on the back of the stand which made it a breeze to connect my devices and keep the cables hidden. Once powered on the setup was very quick and easy with no technical experience required even my 11-year-old understood the steps.

The remote is super slim, rechargeable via a solar panel on the back or type C charger. Probably one of the brightest out of the box TVs I have known to date compared with my others 2 TV’s. This is largely due to Samsung’s Quantum HDR 32x technology and Certified HDR10+ included in this panel giving the TV an ultra-bright display.

The picture clarity was perfect with some slight glow/halo but expected being a non-individually lit pixel OLED panel, but the Quantum Matrix with Mini LED technology sets apart far beyond a regular LED TV.

The color and contrast are exceptional and at the right viewing distance you almost feel you in the picture – my wife’s words! The overall look at feel of the TV is premium, ultra slim due to the one-connect box and what Samsung calls the Infinity One Design.

It really stands out as sleek compared to other comparable size displays. Navigating through Samsung’s new updated UI was smooth and snappy due to the premium hardware such as the Neural Quantum Processor and fast 120Hz/144Hz display which is available on all 4 HDMI ports too.

I am yet to test the 144Hz in gaming mode, but I have experienced this on my sons 55” 4k/120Hz Bedroom TV and so I know this will only up the experience further on a larger much faster display. The sound quality is crisp and something new to me is the TV comes with built in woofers giving those subtle mids and lows typically not heard from a TV combined with the TVs built in Dolby Atmos and 3D sound, it is like having a built-in sound bar, making the movie experience phenomenal.

I later setup my existing Dolby Atmos sound bar which the TV detected by brand effortlessly via eARC and it just blew me away. Overall, seeing this TV in action you will appreciate why its far more premium then a 75” TV at half its price, you will not look back and its worth every penny.

This 75” QN85B Samsung Neo QLED 4K Smart TV is PERFECT ! Out of the box it is super easy to assemble and setup. It took us only 5 minutes to get everything done and the TV quickly recognizes all connected devices and does the rest.

There are soo many options to enhance and improve an already AWESOME TV. The TV is soo thin and looks very good, the picture is actually Theatre quality all in this Samsung TV. I can easily navigate thru the channels and the TV options (Sound/Picture/Smart Options/Contrast/App Casting/Multi view) just to name a few.

The multi-view option is by far my favorite out of all the extras, I can watch multiple content on the TV and easily switch between the 2 and this is definitely a game changer. The design of this TV is superb, super thin, black glossy frame and very sturdy pedestal to hold the TV.

The Clarity is so crystal clear, I can actually see every aspect of what’s being played on the TV and there is NO blurring or un-matched coloring. I like having all the streaming content readily available on the home screen, which is laid out and designed perfectly.

The suggestions of content to watch and all the different content will keep me occupied and thoroughly entertained. As far as the color content of the TV, words can’t express how crystal clear, vibrant and clean it is when watching the content.

I am very surprised at how massive the TV is, yet it enhances my viewing greatly and compliments my living room décor, viewing the TV at any angle or place in my living room is no problem at all. I really like the enhanced Solar Powered remote which has replaced all the remotes I needed previously to control all my connected devices to my old TV.

Not only is the TV Smart, so is the remote, it is sleek, not cluttered with buttons and I like that it can be charged either just by the plug in cord or own it’s own by sunlight. My excitement about this TV can’t be contained, I’ve never had a Smart TV and owning this Samsung has reminded me how great the brand is and what I have been missing in a Samsung Smart TV.

I will definitely remain a Samsung customer and can’t wait to show it off to family/friends and tell co-workers. Overall, the 75” QN85B Samsung Neo QLED 4K Smart TV gets a 10 OUT OF 10 from me and again my excitement is extreme and I will definitely enjoy this TV for many years.

I’ve been using my new Samsung 75” QLED 4K TV for about a month now and it just absolutely blows my previous 4K TV out of the water in every way possible. I’ve been using it with a variety of content from movies and TV shows to gaming and have been very impressed.

The 4K is extremely crisp and clear even in very high motion scenes. The Smart Calibration seems to do a very good job deciding what I am watching and adjusting accordingly, I haven’t felt the need to go into the settings and adjust anything like I had with my previous TVs.

The black levels and color contrast of this TV are like nothing I’ve ever seen before. The black parts of the scene look like that part of the TV is completely turned off while the colors are still extremely vibrant and clear even during high motion scenes.

The auto volume is also a very handy feature, whenever my wife is vacuuming it raises the volume so I can still hear it and lowers it back down when she is done without me ever touching the remote. While the built in speakers are very impressive for small TV speakers, I do still prefer a nice surround sound soundbar to go with it.

One major improvement in regards to that from my previous TV is that the eARC is instantaneous and doesn’t lag when changing volume or audio sources like my old. I do wish I had some more fine tuning of the audio options when I am using eARC but my sound bar has then built in so it’s not the end of the world.

One thing I would like to see improved is the home menu. It starts autoplay with audio from Samsung’s Free TV option, which might I add is actually a very neat feature and I have used it a lot, but I don’t want it to autoplay on my home screen! I’m sure that’s something they can fix in a future software update, I just really hope they do.

On that note of the home screen, I am very impressed with the responsiveness of the built-in smart TV and included apps. Virtually no lag and apps just work as expected, with no issues at all. The initial setup was very painless and I was able to do it all right on my phone using the SmartThings apps.

I also have a Samsung fridge linked to the SmartThings app and now that I added the TV I get notifications right on my TV if I forgot to close the fridge door, a super handy feature! Overall, I am extremely impressed with this Samsung TV and happy with my purchase.

I will absolutely be buying another in the future for my bedroom. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

incredibly disappointed with this tv and samsung. the tv just went blank on me last week. my warranty expired in feb 2021. i called samsung tech they said it was the one connect box. i order another box from newegg for $250 to save samungs $400 plus for the one connect box.

i got the new package, and the tv still did not work. i took it to an electronic store and got an estimate of $540 to repair the motherboard and backlight, which is what went out. i am still paying for this tv with samsung financing.

i find it completely unacceptable for a brand new tv to crap out in about two years of regular use. i was planning on buying another tv and washer and dryer set from samsung, but after this experience, i won’t be buying anything from them.

Thus far, I’m unimpressed with the whole Samsung experience with one notable exception. First, let me reveal this is our third Samsung TV and I’ve been pleased with the products prior to this experience.

Second, what is up with the One Connect Box? Our first one went out 2. 5 days after hanging the TV on the wall mount. Was going to use Samsung to address issue but repair person said “at this price point and the product being out of the box only three days, get it replaced at Best Buy.

” That had been our first thought when we were watching the TV and it went black and silent. The repair person told us the One Connect box is supposed to be warm but not hot. Well, the second TV has been on our wall for 2 days, this is day three, and, yep, the box is HOT not just warm to the touch.

My issue with this One Connect Box is simple. if the box overheats and, by extension, keeps the TV from working, why rely on it? If the box goes, there’s no other way to connect the TV to electrical power supply.

You know, like a bloody cord with a plug on the end of it! I mean, come on. it’s nice to have a box to hook all your peripherals to but you might want to make sure the One Connect Box is an IMPROVEMENT over the previous way to connect HDMIs.

Additionally, how can I tell the bloody box is working since there’s no power indicator light. I like Samsung’s products overall; however, given the issues everyone seems to be having – One Connect Box issues, not compatible with the ONLY service that has 8K videos, forcing us to connect TV to power via, thus far, unreliable “improved” system, it seems the One Connect Box is going to be a “solution” that is more of a “problem” than an improvement.

Sometimes, the old way IS the better way! So, the jury is out for us right now but I do know one thing for sure. Samsung should announce now they’ll fix ANY and ALL One Connect Box issues for as long as the consumer owns the TV.

At this price point, it’s the least the company can do since we’re limited in our avenues to bring power to the set.

i’ve had this tv for 11 months with no problems. i bought the 7. 1. 2 samsung/h-k soundbar with the tv. since the initial set-up, i have had no connectivity issues with the soundbar, and the sound is amazing.

black levels are excellent, but not as good as oled–minor bleed-through at times, but when white screen credits scroll against a black background, the lack of bleed-through is impressive. i had to adjust the soundbar sync settings for my blu-ray player and fire cube.

however, the syncing is off with directv. i chose this tv instead of an oled tv because i often have a static image displayed on the tv. the picture quality, motion flow, color and black levels are outstanding.

The picture quality on this TV is phenomenal, but I have been having several issues with the TV itself and it seems like I will never get help. The interface is extremely laggy especially when attempting to change applications.

This I can deal with but it is not my main concern. Randomly I will lose sound. I will check all devices, turn the tv off and back on, and sometimes even unplugging and plugging it back in does not work, only a hard reset does.

This is extremely inconvenient as network settings, logins, and all other configurations are lost and this takes a considerable amount of time to re-enable. I have seen a large number of people with similar issues as me and Samsung is not providing any remediation or fix for this issue.

Rather upset and I cannot recommend Samsung TVs in the future until this is fixed.

so disappointed with this tv. i was actually happy with it until suddenly a power cycling issue began. it now continuously turns itself on and off every 3 seconds. i have only had the product for 17 months.

after reading the community threads, it seems that this is a known issue with samsung tv’s which they refuse to correct. and because i didn’t buy an extended warranty, i now have a useless electronic brick hanging on the wall that will cost a few hundred dollars to fix.

almost every electronic device i own is from samsung including several phones, tablets, tv’s, buds, and watches. sadly, after this experience, i will probably never buy another samsung product. i thought i was buying quality but i was seriously mistaken.

I absolutely loved my TV. while it worked I would have given a 5 star rating. well it never really stopped working fully but there was no “being ok” with what it was doing. Hoping it was just a bad panel but nonetheless super bummed I had to return it.

Early March it developed a dark horizontal line about 2 inches from the top and everything below that you could see horizontal lines. While the picture looked ok, it was those straight edges and lettering that REALLY showed you that there was something wrong.

Unfortunately the troubleshooting and resets didn’t work. Mind you Samsung Pro was really great! Since TV was still under it’s first year, they set me up with a local repair shop. The gentleman advised my panel would need to be replaced but the part was in back order.

After a week it turned out that they would not be able to get the part after all so Samsung would be replacing my entire unit with a new one. After two weeks, it turned out that “they did not have the inventory for it therefore would have to refund me for it.

They had to ship me a box to put it in which took 3 more weeks to get and finally got picked up a few days after. Totally not upset over the time since i was still able to use the TV but the lines did get worse and worse.

Giving it 4 stars only because of the defective panel, otherwise the TV was great while it was working fully, the Samsung personnel was really great and professional and helpful. While the process did take long, we are in a pandemic so I can’t really be a stickler.

I have a smaller older Samsung TV that refuses to die, washer and dryer that work harder no matter how much we load them.

You often hear the old adage “You get what you pay for!” Well, in this case, that saying is certainly true. This is an expensive television, but it also is top of the line when it comes to features. There is a larger 95 inch LG that is available, but that runs even more money at about $27k and only is a 4k set.

This TV is 8k AND it upscales all video to 8k with the aid of its internal processing power. So first thing you notice with this TV is that it is HUGE mounted on a wall but also amazingly thin. Seriously.

it measures just a hair over a half inch thick! The included remote is simple and can charge via USB or solar cells on the back of the remote. Turning this TV is quick and you are very soon impressed with the image quality.

Even with normal cable TV, the colors really pop and the image is extremely bright using the default “Intelligent” picture settings. I had to turn the brightness down to only about 18 (out of 50) because it literally hurt my eyes at times with how bright it could be.

Having the brightness up that high (40 to 50 range is how it ships), will also let you literally feel the heat coming off of the unit after many minutes of use. AV forums recommend using the “filmmaker” picture mode, but to me, it seemed dull and less lively with the colors, so I’ve left the “intelligent” picture settings on and decreased the brightness as I mentioned.

Colors are amazing and skin tones look great. If you stream some 4k or the semi-8k videos that you can get on YouTube these days, you will be floored. It truly is an amazing TV and looks better to me than any of my smaller 4k sets.

This is good because normally, larger TV’s are not as sharp with their pictures as smaller sets. This TV is the exception, in my opinion. The TV comes with a selection of digital subscription apps that you can quickly and easily access using the remote control.

Other apps can be downloaded. The standards from Amazon and Netflix to Apple Plus and Disney are available. They work really well too and run FAST. ALL the menus and apps on this TV are very snappy and responsive, which is nice.

I’ve seen plenty of TV’s in the past that run apps like Netflix as if they are moving thru Jello. The viewing angle of this set is insane. If you’re not directly to the side of it, you’ll be able to see the picture.

This TV also uses what Samsung calls a “Smartbox” to connect all your cables and inputs. This is nice because if you have the TV mounted on a wall, you don’t have the visual or hassle of having a bunch of cables connecting to the TV.

There is ONE proprietary Samsung cable that connects the TV to the slim but heavy ‘Smart Connect’ box and all your other cables plug in there. For anyone who uses a game console or has children who do, this TV also has a “Game Mode” that claims to reduce or eliminate any input lag from controllers and supports all the new fangled HDR and enhanced settings.

Video games look amazing and the response is instant. No lag. As one would EXPECT with a TV at this price point. So overall I fully recommend this TV if you have the cash to spare and want a brilliant, beautiful, huge TV and also want one that is future proof.

4k content is really just getting in gear as far as content goes and 8k is still very rare. This TV will handle the 4k easily and up convert it to what looks even BETTER to my eyes. Plus, when 8k content starts taking off and getting popular, you will be ready.

This was important to me as I wanted a great set, loved the size but also wanted it to last. I don’t plan on buying a new TV every 2-3 years like I know some do. If it’s important to you, then that is one more reason you will love this TV.

Overall, very well done, Samsung!.

STOP. !! And Note. !! IF you have a Home Theatre AV System you THINK you are going to just Hook this up to. BE AWARE. ! THIS is obviously New Tech with 8k UHD 60Hz/4K UHD 120Hz, and is NOT compatible with Older Home Theatre Systems.

This, unless it states specifically that your Home AV System handles 8k signals. Although, yes, it’s just a Audio Signal running to the AV System, but this TV is picky, and needs compatiblity to function.

Just irked me that my Yamaha RX2050 7. 1 Ch Dolby ATMOS System, which the signal is just PASSED THROUGH, that means no Processing. But STILL does not function. IF you know some secret, pass it on, otherwise, you will be investing in a New AV Home Theatre system.

Also, the mounting process, this Neo AN900A and all other iterations, has a screen, then the 25lb Video Processing Box HANGS ON THE BACK, and you need especially LONG Screws, IF your Wall Mounting. BE AWARE.

! A stand off mount of about 5 inches. it’s a joke. SOOOO, another thing, IF you don’t use these Wall Mounts, they are big for the VESA Mount. THEN. the rear facing speakers on this Unit will Distort Horribly if flat against a wall.

The picture looks amazing and the tv was easy to set up. but the Samsung TV user interface really needs some work. 1. there are too many features that clog up the navigation that just can’t be turned off – and “Ads” in the navbar that I don’t want.

2. changing the source requires WAY too many button presses. 3. changing the volume always add a very ugly overlay on your screen that really breaks immersion in the program you are watching. It also adds NO INFO to the volume-changing process.

It doesn’t tell you what the volume is, whether you are increasing or decreasing it. it just puts a GIANT ‘plus’ and ‘minus’ symbol and text that does/says nothing. There are no options to disable this.

4. The remote control has several buttons that seemingly have NO USE. colors? for what? I have no idea. There are dedicated buttons for Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu – if I had all three that would be fine but I don’t.

You can’t even get Hulu in canada. would be great to be able to customize those. 5. the remote has a solar panel to charge it – ON THE BOTTOM. This is apple-put-the-charger-on-the-bottom-of-the-mouse level of dumb.

6. there are no side HDMI ports. if you want to plug something in temporarily. sorry, you have to TAKE THE TV OFF YOUR WALL to get to the only ports.

Great TV for the price! The 4K picture is clear with bright colors & the deep black levels are surprisingly very good! After some research, I found out that this Toshiba model was manufactured by Hisense & its basically similar to the Hisense A6G & U6G models.

You’re in luck if you bought the 50″ model because its the only screen size in this model that uses the VA (Vertical Alignment) panel instead of the IPS (In-Plane Switching) panels that are used for the 43, 55, 65 & 75 inches.

VA panels offer high contrast & deeper black levels but the drawback is the viewing angles are not so good if you’re not directly in front of the screen. Google VA vs IPS if you want more info. The speakers are OK.

I would recommend getting a sound bar to better enhance your viewing experience. There are a few minor negative issues with this TV which I’ve experienced during use. It suffers from banding, artifacts (macroblocking) & noise during low lighting scenes at certain times.

Also, since it features the (Amazon) Fire TV UI, I’ve noticed that HDR is only enabled when viewing HDR movies on Amazon Prime & YouTube. This is somewhat disappointing since I also have Netflix, HBO Max & Disney+ but HDR doesnt work for those streaming platforms.

I hope this issue will be resolved with software upgrade by Amazon in the future. Overall the benefits outweigh the few minuses. I would highly recommend this if you’re looking for a budget TV for a small room or office.

Solid television! Summary: Fire OS is better than Google for anyone with roommates or a family and multiple accounts, and the sound was better than TCL, yet all new TV sounds are sort of sucky and thin.

We bought this after returning the TCL 55″ Google TV model. The sound was tinny, like worse and less bass than my $35 bluetooth portable speaker. While this tv was scads better, it’s still a theme. Apparently, it’s Apple-effect: in an effort to banish fat televisions (tv-anorexia is in style at the moment,) manufacturers have taken the opportunity to shave off some pounds a bunch of their cost and transfer it to you, with the need to buy a sound bar.

I haven’t bought a tv in 6-years, and the last plenty-thin-enough tv actually had speakers. From the VERY little sound demo I could hear at Best Buy (literally one or two tvs had sound demos with no soundbars) they all sound like this.

The TCL’s sound was unacceptable, although it could’ve been a lemon, but the Toshiba’s was acceptable, although I do run it through my stereo. The FIRE interface is WAY, WAY better than the Google TV, which was painful.

On Google TV, you can only have one master, logged in account. So my husband’s horror movie thumbnails show up on the family tv with my kids. There’s no way to change the main account other than resetting the tv to factory standards and starting over and spending an hour re-downloading apps.

This Toshiba has the Amazon Fire interface which was delightfully not Amazon-slanted. Other apps are easy to get to (not so w/Google TV) and you can change accounts easily and it works better for a family.

I hope this has been helpful for any of you buying a tv for the first time in awhile – it’s. a whole different world out there.

I just got this to replace my Insignia 55″ LED LCD TV in my bedroom. I was happy with my Insignia, but it was a little over 3 years old and the LED back light died. Fortunately, I had purchased the 5 year warranty, which I never do, and I’m very happy with Best Buy’s service.

They came to the house, removed the dead Insignia TV and delivered the replacement 55″ LED LCD Toshiba TV. The person I spoke with when I called about the Insignia dying was awesome! He quickly found the replacement Toshiba TV and placed the order for me.

From what it looks like, Toshiba actually makes the Best Buy Insignia TVs because the TVs are almost exactly the same layout, including the same remotes. The Toshiba is a little bit of an upgrade from Insignia because it’s 3 years newer.

I’m very happy with both TVs and with the repair people and the support person on the phone who took care of everything. Usually I’d be annoyed that the old TV died at about 38 months old, but the whole process of replacing it was seemless! It’s funny because I have never bought an extended warranty on any electronics I buy because I usually just repair a device myself if I do have a problem.

I repair PCs and electronics for a living, But just for the heck of it, I spent about $70 for the 5 year extended warranty, so I basically got another brand new TV for $70. Needless to say, I got the 5 year extended warranty on the replacement.

I purchased this TV on sale from Target during Black Friday 2021. For the price, the TV is an excellent value. The TV was packaged well, with no issues noted during my unboxing. I mounted the TV, but noticed the included feet were a solid metal with nice matte coating.

They looked sleek and should serve you well should you choose not to mount your TV. The picture quality is good, but not great. Viewing the TV from the side, the edges appear a little washed out with a white glow event with the backlight setting at its lowest.

The TV looks best when viewed head on. There was also a small bright spot in part of my screen, which the manual acknowledges as a possibility and not a defect. It is virtually unnoticeable unless the area of the picture is black.

Standard picture settings can be adjusted including, contrast, sharpness, brightness, and color. The sound quality is surprisingly good, and depending on the room the TV is used in, may not require an additional soundbar.

The inclusion of Roku is the main reason I purchased the TV. In my opinion Roku offer the best user interface and streaming capabilities. I am glad to that Element partnered with them for this build.

So far, I have not had any issues with the TV and have enjoyed using it. I am happy with my purchase.

I bought this TV on a deep sale and use it as a 4K PC monitor for productivity. The screen real-estate is phenomenal, of course. What was a pleasant surprise was the solid black levels, very minimal edge backlight bleed, and minimal blooming around bright objects.

Both my laptop and desktop drive this at 4K 60 Hz over HDMI without issue. And I’m not even using great HDMI cables. The response latency is acceptable for productivity work, though I’d hesitate using it for gaming.

No dead or stuck pixels noted after running through primary color and black/white tests. Very sharp. Viewing angle is good for a monitor, but you’ll notice fading quickly if off-axis (worse above and below than side-to-side).

The remote is good and responsive – Smart Roku TV features are fairly snappy and wired ethernet is a plus. Going on about 3 weeks. I can’t pick many faults at all with this TV for my intended use! If I had to pick one thing, the HDR experience is underwhelming.

In fact, I didn’t notice or expect this to have HDR. But otherwise colors are rich and blacks are deep, text is sharp and there is no jitter or flicker when used as a monitor. I easily recommend this TV, especially if you find it on sale.

This is my 2nd Element TV. I had the other one for about 10 years. I had a good picture. One day recently while watching TV I heard a pop when the screen went black. That was it as it was dead. I thought it should have lasted a few more years.

Anyway, I added a sound bar to the old TV because the speakers on the old TV were horrible. I plugged the sound bar in the old Element TV into the 2 – RCA female plugs on that TV. The new Element did not have the RCA option for a sound bar.

I had to buy an adapter to use the sound bar. I realize that technology changes, but maybe Element could have waited another 5 or so years before discontinuing to put the female RCA plugs on their TVs.

Just Saying. The speakers are better on the new TV, but in my opinion still needs a sound bar. As far as the Roku, I do not like the fact that what ever I was watching when I turned the TV off does not come back to the same place (Satellite TV, Chromecast, Netflix, Hulu, etc.

) when it is turned back on. Maybe you could put an option in the setting to let it come back to the same place it was when the TV was turned off. It is annoying to have to go back and select the option of how & what I want to watch every time I turn the TV on.

To start with everything was great, picture quality was fantastic and the inbuilt OS was very responsive. Then after about 18 months I noticed a faint black line appearing across the top part of the screen.

This was then joined by another faint black line across the bottom. Over the next month those faint black lines became solid and were joined by faint lines both above and below them. Not great but at least you could still watch the TV.

But now after about 20 months the screen will no longer turn on. The tv boots up, you can hear sound for about 3 – 5 seconds then the screen goes blank again. This is then repeated until you turn the TV off at the mains.

Otherwise its just in an endless boot cycle. From looking at other reviews it seems to be a common problem. Its a shame this wasn’t common knowledge when I first bought the TV. So after less than 2 years its time for a new TV.

This time I will be going to LG, hopefully they can make a quality product.

Samsung is getting a complex over pricing – trying to compete or beat Sony on their high prices. and not usually justified. Seeing as how this is on a big sale for Black Friday, it became an option for me.

I’m using the 43″ as a computer monitor, just using the TV options occasionally. From that perspective, it makes a good monitor and does run 4K @ 60 Hz and supports proper 4:4:4 chroma (so text is clear).

The smart features seem good and it has bluetooth built-in. I like the VA panel as it really shows black the way it should be done – I don’t miss having local dimming on this (my other TV is a Sony X900e with local dimming).

The VA panel makes a big difference in contrast and I won’t go back to IPS now. On the negative side, I don’t like the Tizen OS – every time you want to change picture settings, you have to go to the home menu, hit “left” 5 times just to get to the settings – and then go through all the options from there.

And there are plenty that aren’t explained very well – the manual just tells you where they are, not what they do. Luckily, I research this stuff and figured it out but it’s way over-complicated where it really doesn’t need to be.

I think I preferred the Roku TVs – and I did try a much cheaper Hisense VA panel Roku TV – and it was 98% as good as this one – many things were better in my opinion. The only issue was I couldn’t get it to run at 60 Hz as a computer monitor (only ran at 30 Hz) so I returned it.

If you don’t need that option, I think the Hisense Roku TVs are just as good – and I’m really picky! Hisense seems to be brighter than TCL generally. I really, really don’t like that you cannot change any of the video settings when using a computer input or some game consoles, etc.

You are limited to “normal” and “dynamic” modes where you can set brightness, contrast and sharpness. But nothing else. no color settings whatsoever. The default modes for a computer screen are very cold (probably around 9000K) and you can’t change it to a warm setting.

that makes no sense at all! I agree with the other review – there should be an analog output jack. I need to get an adapter now before I can plug it into my computer speakers. Overall, the blacks are good.

the greys are not so good – not very uniform. There is a big of a screen door effect when you are up close. The HDR doesn’t really exist on any of these mid-range TVs. The brightness levels do not change AT ALL going into HDR mode.

some of them are even darker and worse so don’t buy it for HDR – you won’t be satisfied. The Sony X800 and Q60T might be very slightly noticeably better in HDR but you need to double your spend to get anything with reasonable HDR.

If you’re looking for an okay 4K TV with lots of smart features, then this one is okay – if you get it on sale.

I’ve had the Samsung TU8000 (43″) for almost two months now and the initial signs are positive. The delivery was on time & the couriers handled the television with care. The packaging was undamaged and everything in the box was in good condition.

Setting up the TU8000 was fairly straightforward & although it took me a little while to get used to the gulf in size from my last TV to this one (I previously had a 22″), I noticed a huge difference in quality.

If the source is 4K, the TV will showcase the crisp & rich details of the video. Even material which is 1080p is upscaled very well for a TV around this price point. There are so many applications which you can download and that’s one of many factors which were appealing to me.

This is a good television for gaming despite the fact that it doesn’t support HDMI 2. 1 but games run smoothly at 60fps nonetheless. I’d recommend using gaming mode (but not gaming mode plus) otherwise the response time is lackluster.

I was rather surprised at the sound quality which was much better than I expected. Although it’s not perfect, the quality is very good considering the price of the set. It comes with two remotes and although it can be quite clunky at times to navigate through the menus, they are responsive and easy to use.

Connecting the TV to an aerial is simple and I like the gallery function which tends to be reserved for the more expensive Samsung TVs. A few problems I have with this model is the excessive backlight on the top right hand corner of the screen.

I noticed it for the first time when watching Disney+ and Netflix content in a dark room and I haven’t been able to solve this problem yet. Another issue I had was a chiming sound from the television which is apparent when you’re close to the screen.

I solved this by disconnecting the PS4 cable when the console is not in use. I searched for months before buying a new television and I’m happy with the decision I made. Despite a few flaws, the exceptional image quality, good sound, responsive controls and the versatility of this model make the Samsung TU8000 a great purchase.

I was extremely impressed with the picture and features on this TV, so much so, that I purchased a second unit for my Garage. Very sharp and high resolution with great color rendition. Very intuitive navigation software is easy to use and packed with great features.

The initial setup routine prompts guide you through the startup-configuration process seamlesy. The setup took less than 10 minutes and automatically downloaded and installed the available firmware updates.

I use both of these TV/Monitors with multiple inputs: Digital Antenna (Local TV Channels); HDMI – Blu Ray Input; Ethernet Internet (Hardwired) Streaming; HDMI-PC Input; USB – External Hard Drive Access and even Wi-Fi – for Streaming from my Smartphone – all function flawlessly.

The exceptional Input Reception Sensitivity for the integral Digital TV Tuner allows me to receive Air Channels which my older TV would not display due to low threshold signal strength. The free Samsung Digital TV Channels offer very good program content and is an added Plus.

This TV affords a lot of “Bang” for your “Buck” and outperforms many higher-priced TV’s and is a cut above many Competitors’ models based on my research. One thing that I wish Samsung would offer is a provision for storing an electronic copy of the comprehensive version of the User Guide directly on the TV proper (I use the USB-Connected External Hard Drive to view my downloaded copy of the User Guide for ready-reference).

GET ONE OF THESE TV’s!.

I have owned a few other “smart” TVs prior to this one, and I would consider those to be “dumb” TVs! The clarity and picture on this TV is amazing. Whether you are watching cable, streaming, or even using connected devices, this has been the best experience I have had by far.

I do lots of streaming, such as Youtube, Prime, and Netflix, and have had the greatest experience with them all. I also stay on the internet constantly, and being able to do this from my television is unlike anything I have tried.

There’s nothing like being able to see the content you watch and do on a big screen like this. Using the browser on the TV became more favorable than using my computer or even my phone. I also love how if you don’t have a sound system, you can use a Bluetooth connected speaker, and the sound is amazing (and wireless!) I also love the fact you can upload your pictures and video gallery, and feel like you are watching home movies on a what feels like a theater, all from videos and pictures taken on a smartphone.

Having a Samsung smartphone makes the experience so lovely, because everything connects seamlessly, as well as giving you TV and phone extra features when using them together. Not that I would think there would be any issues with any other smartphone being connected, it is just awesome to use a Samsung smartphone with a Samsung TV, because the usability of the TV is even easier to get use to, since it has the same platform, setup, and settings similarities.

We bought this to replace a 47″ HD Smart TV where the video board had broken. Buying it was easy enough and after unpacking it and spending half an hour mounting it, the new TV wouldn’t go into ‘Set Up’ mode – specifically we couldn’t select any of the set up options using the Volume button on the remote control as the TV’s set up requires.

The TV wouldn’t even switch on/off using the power button on the remote. We checked the battery voltage for the included batteries and they were both fine at 1. 6V. When I pointed the remote at my mobile phone camera with the phone’s Photo app, I couldn’t see any infra red light when I pressed any of the remote buttons, so the remote was DOA.

After spending 10-15 minutes texting with Samsung support (who asked me to do everything I’d already done), they offered to send a new remote. We declined and decided just to return the TV and get another one.

So less than 3 hours after we bought it, we drove the 16 mile round trip to our local Sam’s Club, returned it and bought an identical one. This time, as soon as we had been scanned at the store exit, I opened the box, took out the remote and popped the batteries in it.

I think pointed it at my mobile phone with the camera app on and could see the infrared light pulsing when I pressed the remote buttons, so I knew this one was OK. We got it home, mounted it on the wall and it set up as expected.

What I found really disappointing was that we’re charged a $6 recycling fee here in CA on purchases of TVs and other electronic goods. Despite selling a TV that wasn’t working, the recycling fee wasn’t refunded when I returned the broken TV.

So I ended up paying the recycling fee twice, once on the TV that was DOA and a second time on a TV that actually worked. That is hardly customer service for a Plus membership. We’re glad this thing came with a 3 year warranty!.

Once again Samsung has put a HUGE smile on my face! I love Samsung products and just purchased a 32″ Samsung Smart TV. I have other Samsung Products but this is only my 2nd TV by Samsung. I am 100% satisfied and completely pleased with this purchase! I always try to do lots of research on a product before purchasing it, as I also did with this TV.

I knew I was going to by a Samsung just because I love the quality of the products they produce, I just had to decide which Samsung TV I was going to buy. With all my research I had come down to the decision on getting the 32″ Class J4500 LED Smart TV.

My only reservations was my concern about the speakers. I’m slightly hard of hearing and quite a few of the reviews, (YES I read the reviews too, as part of my research) complained of the volume (it not getting very loud & having to turn it up almost all the way to hear it) and the sound (that the speakers sounded really “tinny”) Well I liked everything else & decided to purchase the TV anyways.

Figuring that if the speakers are as some of the reviewers said, then I’d just return it. Well I can tell to you that the sound is awesome! There isn’t anything I would change about this TV. It has excellent, color, picture, sound, and features!! I am so glad that after doing all my research I decided to go with my past experiences with Samsung products & purchase this TV.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this TV to all my family & friends that are interested in purchasing a TV!! The only thing I’d suggest to Samsung is to have the remote control light up to make it easier to use in the dark.

But other than that this TV is a solid purchase that I feel will also put a smile on your face as it has done for me. ☺WAY TO GO SAMSUNG!!.

Wellsir. I have a beef with these smart TV. Trouble with them is they don’t have adobe flash so you can’t install things like an adblocker. In fact there is no kind of tools you can download. There are a lot of annoying ads on the net especially youtube, that I can’t get rig of as I can on my computer.

The net response is a little slower than on the computer. The one thing I really don’t like about this unit is there are NO CONTROLS on the TV itself. You have to depend solely on the remote and if it goes out your TV is pretty much useless.

I got a universal remote as a back up just in case. You can navigate the net better with a mouse. The TV does provide a keyboard to use. I have had times where the browser would go out and I would have to restart it.

Chrome is the default browser with this TV. The picture quality is good. I imagine if I played around with the color controls I could get a better image. I notice you have to make sure the remote is pointed directly at the sensor otherwise it won’t respond.

This TV is extremely light compared to my other 32″. it is 43lbs while this one is a mere 13lbs. It was easy to set up and found my internet connection no problem, all I had to do was give my password.

Connected by DVD player and audio receiver to the TV with no problems everything works okay on that end. The remote is easy to use, but it will be bit difficult to get use to typing words out with the keyboard on the TV.

It’s a pretty basic remote with buttons to go to the net check your settings. ect. It has two HDMI outputs as well as the component 3 plugs or the video plug and two audio jacks. It has one optical audio jack, a USB port, and ethernet port, and the power supply cord has a power box, attached and the cord hook up to the TV.

It is not attached. These units are like smart phones. they have so much memory available that allows you to download apps. This TV has 1. 15 Gb of memory. If you are the type of person that like a lot of apps you will need to consider the memory.

I don’t need that much so I am fine with it. Since I paid under $200 for this unit I consider it a good buy. But by no means is it a smart TV, with the limitations they have as far as upgrading the browser and installing tools to improve browsing.

At first I was a little apprehensive and I am never apprehensive about using new technologies. However, after using this television for a few days I would say that it is rather a decent fit for me and for the price.

It comes loaded with a gargantuan supply of apps in their app store, which I will say I was dismayed that I don’t have access to the Android Market. YET. And I do stress the word YET, because Google and Samsung is working on delivering a software update.

The update will or is expected to hit most of the newer Samsung 2015 models and after with an Android Market update. The update will allow you access to all of Google’s apps such as Music, Movies & TV app.

So this television so far has an excellent picture and an excellent sound. I can not for the life of me understand why this set has negative reviews. I will however state that if you are going to utilize the streaming functions of this set, then you will need to have at least a broadband connection speed of at least 25mbps or a higher tier package; especially if you are watching Google or Netflix programming in high definition as I am.

All of my movies and tv shows in my Google account are in hi-def. Now I don’t have a problem streaming with Netflix but I do have intermittent problems with the YouTube app but it is a current known problem with the app and Samsung tvs, which Google is working on a software fix at the moment.

There is nothing wrong with the television. One app in particular I like is commercial free Pandora. I also like the free nature apps that show a random, rotating slideshow of exotic animals along with interesting details and facts about the animals.

Certainly with a television like this there is no need to get a Roku, Chromecast or Apple tv. The premium apps everyone uses most come pre-installed. Netflix, YouTube, (You can access all your Google purchases through this app) the Amazon video app, Hulu, and HBOGO.

Apps such as Pandora have to be downloaded from the store. Overall I believe this television was worth it for my first smart tv purchase and as a single person in a tiny apartment this was all I needed.

And as a budget television I think it couldn’t have turned out better. Now all I am waiting patiently for is the update for YouTube which may come when Samsung gets the update from Google and releases the full Google experience to the tv.

This television is a great buy so I suggest getting it and also picking up the additional warranty as well.

If you recommend this to someone you’re either terrible or hate them. The build quality is complete trash, if you try and rotate this tv it flexes so much it feels like the actual screen is going to come out.

The plastic around the edges is cheap and also doesn’t feel like it’s in place and you can’t even tighten the stands all the way down so guess what they flex too. Not to mention when you pick the thing up you can hear things rattle and move on the inside.

Picture is ok from a distance but up close you might as well watch tv static or consider looking at the sun till you go blind it’s so bad. This tv’s perfect for throwing out of windows at college parties and if you were wondering what it’s like to have glaucoma.

It makes you set up a Samsung account too LMAO which is ideal for you creatures that live under a rock and still use a Samsung phone. Debating on if I want to return it or just leave it outside for trash.

Perfect size for my bedroom, purchased a swing out wall mount as well. Very light and easy to install with basic tools. I’ve been drawn to the Samsung brand for years as I have a 2010 plasma that is still going strong.

All of the features included are handy, setup was simple just plug in and connect to your network. Streaming works alright, if you’re far from your access point consider running a CAT 6 wire or get a wireless booster if needed, I’m about 40 feet and three walls away without issue still have 3/4 signal.

All of the apps included offer free tv / B-rate movies good for baseline entertainment I guess. The only issues to speak of are the sound which seems to be rather standard fair these days with flat panel models having speakers of low grade facing rear, marketing 101 must buy a soundbar if you care about quality.

Voices are distorted at times, it sounded like something was rattling against the wall but wasn’t. Messed with the sound settings and those really didn’t help much. Purchased a Samsung soundbar and used the ARC / HDMI connector and it solved the issue totally.

Lastly, and this might very well not be the tv, but when attempting to access my DNLA media server via wireless from my computer (sharing saved movies, pictures, etc accessible from your hard drive), sometimes the connection point shows up on the Source screen, maybe 70% of the time.

No rhyme or reason why or why not, I turn off the set and wait, turn it back on and sometimes it shows. Also when searching, only certain files are accessible. The TV does not load. avi files despite saying it recognizes this codec, only.

mp4 works. Again, this may be an issue with Windows or my computer, I’m not totally tech savvy but it’s worth knowing before hand. Otherwise this seems to be a great baseline model TV for a great price.

call me old fashioned, but some video is broadcast/transmitted at ratio 16:9, some at 4:3. prefer correct ratio when viewing. don’t like stretched images. older tvs had a command so the tv would detect and adjust picture ratio automatically.

not this tv. have explored settings, cannot find automatic adjustment. can’t use ‘custom’ picture size or ‘fit to screen’ settings to accomplish my goal, being able to switch channels without having to correct ratio.

don’t like having to manually change picture size settings each time i change channels. hey samsung, lots of programming is still in 4:3. will be purchasing another tv in near future, but not samsung if i have to “unstretch” picture each time i change channel.

Can NOT delete preinstalled APPS. Pluse botoom 2/3s of picture is taken up by NEW RELEASES FOR RENTAL ADVERTISEMETS and APPS. Very annoying as one would hope to see their TV SHOW. MR120 remote is not intuititve and results in lots of wrong buttons binging pused.

I would return to store if I had not already set-up with expectations of full screen TV upon starts up and easy to use remoted. NOTE. Be sure to download the 134 page manual from SAMSUNG website to be able to begin your docotorate in how to get this thing to do things like delete ALL preinstalled apps and then figuring out how to ad back just the APPS you want.

Be sure to check out how various functions work IN STORE PRIOR to buying. DO NO BUY WITHOUT HAVING SEEN HOW COMPLICATED OPERATING TV IS.

The display is superb and absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately this TV has serious connectivity problems. During setup the Samsung phone application wasn’t able to connect to the TV. Furthermore, the TV constantly displays error warnings that it failed to open applications or connect to the internet.

We have other TVs that stream from our router with no problems (>200 mbps) The response time of the TV is very poor. The time from when you click the home button on the remote to the UI loading is about 3 seconds.

When streaming apps do open, they play for a short time before having to buffer for a minute. Excellent display and garbage software.

Cannot say enough about the quality of this television. We researched extensively across brands, options, and retailers with main focus being size (wanted 55″ – 65″), picture quality (wanted one with motion interpolation), and overall value for the money.

Can honestly say this is a $600-$700 television for half the price. Picture quality is breathtaking and size is just right for a standard size livingroom/den. It is officially movie night in our house every Friday and Saturday with pictures that look so realistic they almost seem 3D.

Beyond happy with this purchase. Money well spent.

I purchased this TV with the intent to play Nintendo Switch games and stream shows and movies using the built in apps. So far it works well, and I haven’t had any issues with the image quality, aside from “HDR 10+” sometimes causing peoples’ skin to turn bright red or orange in certain spots, which I noticed while watching 4K HDR content through Prime Video.

This is not my main media machine, so it functions well when I just want to play games or watch media on a big screen. DISPLAY: I’m guessing the TV is true 4K, as all the streaming apps that have 4k available automatically stream at that resolution.

It’s pretty good for when I want to see Richard Hammond crash again and again in 4k on a big screen. Like I previously mentioned, the HDR is somewhat “meh”, causing some minor coloring issues, and there is no option to disable it.

If great HDR is what you’re looking for in a TV, this isn’t it. If you don’t care for HDR content, this TV is good enough. The default color accuracy isn’t that great, and you will need to adjust the colors yourself.

The TV comes with an expert color tuning mode that I didn’t use, since the basic settings were enough to get the colors I wanted. GAMING: I’ve only used my Nintendo Switch with this TV, but I’ve had no issues using it.

Just note that the TV uses some kind of upscaling to match the Switch’s 1080p output to the 4k display. Interestingly, I think switch games look better on this 55″ 4k-upscaled output compared to my 24″ 1080p gaming monitor.

INPUT LAG: If you plan on playing any fast-paced or fighting games, like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, MAKE SURE THE PICTURE IS SET TO GAME MODE. The input lag is unbearable on anything other than game mode, but once game mode was active, the input lag was almost identical to my gaming monitors.

STREAMING: The OS is fairly decent, with the downside of lagging with certain apps I’ve tried, such as Crunchyroll and Prime Video. There’s a second or two delay when navigating the menu in Prime Video, and in Crunchyroll, the app is just short of freezing when you try to exit out of playback.

Other apps, such as Apple TV and YouTube work very smoothly. I have not tried other streaming apps, but I can attest to the performance or lack thereof of these four apps. I would recommend using a game console or a dedicated streaming stick over using the built in Google TV OS.

One negative side to using Google TV on this TCL is that TCL forces you to sign in or create a TCL account in order to access Google TV. That’s another account you have to create and another company you have to entrust information to.

That’s about the only big gripe I have with this TV. OVERALL: Pretty decent TV for when I want to watch stuff or play games on a big 4k screen. Google TV can be a little sluggish, but you can always get a dedicated streaming device and plug it into the TV.

The HDR isn’t that great.

So far so good. There are so many choices out there at so many price points and so many options that I circled for quite a while. I finally decided to purchase this TV and I’m very happy with it. It’s got a beautiful picture, it set up nice and easy, The remote is not too big for my hand which may sound funny but for some of us it’s a consideration lol.

I like the versatility of what’s available on it and what you can do with it I haven’t had much opportunity to explore a lot of it but if I’m not complaining up front it can’t be that bad. The only negative so far that I may have come across which is only negative based upon the mount that I already have from my previous TV.

The mounting holes on the back of the TV are very low to the bottom. A wall mount I have uses two separate rails attached one on each side of the mounting holes. I mounted it as far down the bottom of the rail as I could but the TV still ended up 6 in higher on the wall and the previous TV of the same size because it’s mounting holes or towards the top.

And the scheme of things it’s not terrible except I don’t have much wall left to raise the picture that its now blocking. So just be aware of how you want to mount and hang your TV even if you don’t get this one We look to see if the holes are spaced appropriately for what we want to do but I didn’t really pay much attention to where they were located on the TV set.

As for the size as a man I wanted the 75 inch TV It said my blood but it was obscene It was so big for the wall as with the 65-in have been. The 55 was really the best for the room size even given the upgrades from the 4k And that combined with the lower price made this an even more appealing choice.

finally, as the cherry on top it was delivered right into my office where it hangs now within 2 days and for free. Can’t beat that!.

Bought this but I’m debating what actually it does better over the $125 cheaper recent Android TV model I was planning on returning (or a similarly priced TCL Roku TV). My major motivation was integration with Google Home but also upgrading from 1080p.

(1) Fast on functionality doesn’t appear to include wifi and ethernet connection so nothing but a fast on attached roku or other dongle can turn it on by voice. Wasn’t fixed over Android TV. (2) Google Home streams Apple Music with subscription but sending it to this TV and my non-Atmos/DTS+ sound bar is horribly choppy.

(3) Google Assistant on the TV and it’s integration with Google Home system has been working poorly, has been unresponsive and I can’t figure out why. It’s worse than previous generation Chromecast with showing connected services like camera footage.

Nice that it adds Dolby Digital Plus and eArc should those be of value (not with my soundbar!), certainly an upgrade over 1080p in terms of video quality. Appreciate that it does do digital audio pass through.

If it doesn’t work better with Google Home, really seems that overall package is less than a TCL Roku TV plus an Chromecast or the older Android TV (or maybe even smart 4K TV) with a 4K Roku box. Definitely consider if relevant, some of these things may get worked out but clock is ticking.

I received this tv as a Christmas gift. Initially, I was pretty excited to use the tv as it has the Roku streaming feature. After setting it up and using for approximately 2 months, I find it frustrating to use as the tv performs inconsistently and has a mind of its own.

The remote control freezes constantly and when it does work, I have to be parked 8′ from the tv infra red sensor on the front/bottom of the tv panel. Even when I stand directly in front of the tv and point the remote forward, it still works inconsistently.

I checked the remote batteries that came with the tv and they are fine so it is either the remote or the sensor on the tv. The live tv is a nice feature but it would be nice if one could enter the tv channel number on the remote as it is so slow to press the up/ down arrows.

The remote does not have numbers to punch in the channel numbers and it does not have the voice command feature. Since, it is a gift, I couldn’t ask for the receipt. I do not recommend this brand/ model 32”tv.

Would not recommend. It was fine for the first few weeks, maybe a couple of months. But then it started basically having a mind of its own. One moment the remote won’t let you scroll forward and then the next it’s speeding through Netflix out of control.

Apps constantly freeze and reboot themselves mid-video. The only way to stop the annoying stuff is to delete and redownload each individual app. But that only solves it for a little while. I’ve tried ever reboot and updated tip I can find and nothing has worked.

It was a gift and I’m too broke to buy a new one so I’m stuck with it.

It’s complete junk. Bought to mount in the bedroom of our RV and when pulling from the mount away from the wall, the whole tv came off the back. Now there is a screw that won’t go back in so it’s pretty much useless and Target won’t exchange it.

Stuck dealing with the manufacturer. Even if they can replace it, we won’t use it. It’s cheaply made and the back of the tv collapsed in when trying to get the screw back in with very little pressure.

It’s actually laughable how flimsy this tv is. Next tv purchase won’t be made at Target because they don’t stand behind their products. So sad.

In the store, I saw little difference between the 65″ NanoCell 90 TV and its OLED counterpart, so chose the NanoCell because it didn’t seem worth the $700 price difference. Once the TV was installed at home, I was less impressed.

I’ll begin, though, with some positive items. The clarity of 4K images is amazing, and there’s a lot of 4K content. Pretty much everybody except Netflix provides it at no extra cost. The installed apps for Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV+, etc.

work great and I’m debating whether an external Apple TV is really worthwhile, although it’s the only way I can run the Spectrum app for a few channels that don’t have their own app on the LG. That said, I’m feeling a bit of buyer’s remorse.

I realize this is not a top-of-the-line TV, but it’s not a budget model, either. First, the picture seems dim overall, except for the lightest areas, which can appear as blown out. People often look backlit and almost silhouetted.

I tried various picture modes, which gave varying results in combination with the AI setting for automatic brightness adjustment for ambient lighting. It helped a bit, but too many indoor scenes appear to have been filmed at night by flashlight.

LG advertises this TV as having advanced color accuracy, but some scenes have psychedelic over-saturated color and most are dull, muddy, and orange-ish. Maybe the advanced settings (contrast/brightness/color, etc.

) will make a big improvement, it strikes me that the default image should be well in the ballpark to begin with and these controls only useful for fine-tuning for a few discerning users. The 13-year old Sony HDTV this replaced has better color and contrast than this.

Blooming is a known problem with TVs, and this is worse than I’d expected. Maybe I’m spoiled by computer screens that display white text flawlessly, but white titles and subtitles appear to glow with blurry halos as though they were projected through a greasy lens.

It would probably be disingenuous to return this TV as “defective” (maybe it is, how would one really know), but it doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade aside from the size. I hope your experience is better than this.

I purchased this tv for a replacement to my 70in Samsung Tizen tv that my toddler attacked with a toy and cracked the screen. I planned on upgrading to this tv mainly for the hdmi 2. 1 gaming input to utilize the 120fps capability.

I read alooooot of reviews and now that I have had a bit of time with this tv I’ll save you some trouble. The tv does have a nice picture quality. It also has potent enough speakers that unless you need seriously loud sound or have a large open floor plan and want to hear it outside the house.

Would a sound bar improve the sound? Absolutely, because that is what they are made to do. I just do not view it as essential if you purchase this tv. I have noticed some bleeding on this tv where when the screen is pitch black in the lower right side it looks somewhat like a topographical map of Hawaii (the water being black and the land mass being white) trying to rise up.

It is subtle and I really can’t say I notice it while gaming or watching a movie, just when the entire screen is supposed to be black like at power on or off. If anything changes I will update my review.

All in all it is a good tv at this price point that has the 120fps gameplay rate. If you plan on using it for gaming, get it. If your just going to stream or watch movies, buy a 70in for cheaper. The 120fps — only on specific outputs so make sure you have it connected correctly— is a great feature ,but the only real feature that makes it better than any other 65in at this price point.

Now for the deeply disappointing part. I purchased my tv open box —excellent condition— what I picked up at the store was a horrible excuse for that. My tv was wrapped in bubble wrap with the power cord and absolutely nothing else.

No box No stand No friggin remote. It is a huge pain if you don’t have the remote for this tv so do yourself a favor and make absolutely sure you receive the remote for this tv or don’t get it.

I hate to say it, but I have to say to avoid this tv or any LG tv that uses local dimming. I was sooo excited to purchase this tv and get it home. But after a few days of viewing, a few things stuck out consistently and could not be ignored or gotten used to, And I tried for a month.

The way the local dimming is implemented causes u to watch shows with somewhat of a spotlight moving around the screen to focus on the bright areas. There was an area about a foot in from both sides that always seemed to not dim/light properly.

This made our eyes crazy. And if you turned it off, well the picture looked great and bright, but when viewing 16:9 content the bars on top and bottom were grayish(not black as when local dimming is on).

And the worse thing of all was that there was a whiteish area glowing in the top right corner that caused a glow on the whole corner. There were a few other glowing spots along the left edge of the screen but less noticeable.

The top right corner glow was about a foot in diameter and as I imagined keeping the tv for several years, could I get used to the glowing spots, NO and we shouldn’t have to. Oh, and the vertical blinds-like way LG displays the image onscreen caused the view from the side to be extremely dim.

So unfortunately I had to return the tv and purchased Sony OLED instead, GORGEOUS!! LG C1 OLED should be very good as well. But if u need to or prefer to stay with LED, then go with Samsung QLED, u won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful Picture, Easy to Use, Features are GREAT!! Well worth the money! Everyone so far has given very positive feedback.

Perfect bedroom television. My fiance and I love to lay in bed and watch our favorite shows on it. It has the perfect sized screen for just about anyone

I don’t think this is the exact model that I have, but it goes without saying: Samsung televisions (at least in my opinion) are the cream of the crop. Amazing color and picture.

Unfortunately the base had a couple of very weak pins to slot into holes, which, even with great care, first bent, then broke off. The screw was beyond too fiddly to get in hole, hardly any finger space, although managed in the end, however that left a wobbly poor fitting.

I couldn’t do with the hassle of returned a telly, so put it in place, just mustn’t knock it. Picture for the channels that could get (as couldn’t get all) are quite clear. This is not a Freeview telly , indoor aerial no use, it’s internet telly and given up for now trying to set up iPlayer and ITV Hub etc, so down to as many TV Plus as got – not all and a load of scrolling of what not interested in.

As others have said, the sound is a bit tinny. But I didn’t want this for a main telly, just a bedroom, low use. I don’t pay subscriptions for extra channels. It’s a first ‘Smart TV’ so I guess, in time, might start to get used to it, although the broadband is not great, so if that cut off, you’d have nothing, really, so keep that in mind, unless you could find another way, as I say, I haven’t really worked it all out – very busy but majorly worn out and like simple things in life.

Unbelievably this TV does not have a 3. 5mm socket for headphones or a powered speaker. I did not think for a minute that any TV would not have such a cheap component included in its specs. Given the poor sound on TVs nowadays, surely the ability to simply connect a speaker is absolutely necessary.

I rather feel like the bloke who purchased a horse with three legs. The remote on this TV is terrible. Too many buttons, all of which are too small. Moreover, everyone knows that certain controls are used far more than others, yet on this TV those controls are precisely the most difficult to use.

Oddly I bought this TV to replace a much older Samsung TV which had a perfectly good remote, with easy to use controls, so I really can’t understand why this TV is so retrograde in this respect.

Classy product in many ways. Just right for a kitchen tv with clear picture and good sound. However. I set it up as per the instructions. We immediately had 26 channels starting with Quest but not the usual ones such as BBC or ITV.

Every time I tried I got the same thing. The only way I can get BBC is through I player which is mad! I set it up through the internet as well and now have over 300 channels, mostly American which I don’t want, but still no BBC or ITV.

There is no Freeview with Samsung so far as I am aware. If you want a normal ordinary tv, ie if you are old fashioned and don’t want it connected through the internet but want BBC and ITV primarily then ask questions of the salesman before buying, Iplayer and ITV hub are fine for specific programmes but are a few seconds delayed in transmission and you have to choose specific programmes rather than leave it on in the background , or so my wife tells me!.

Bought this TV after years of having LG and couldn’t be more dissatisfied. It’s almost impossible to watch dark scenes due to blooming. LG Technical Team have reviewed the images I provided and advised that the issue is due to panel uniformity and is not considered a fault rather a limitation of the technology and the backlight in the TV.

It’s also of very poor quality for watching sports. Poor quality TV.

I have always had lg tv for sometime. My old one was linked to lg surround sound. This new TV features are ok. But The ai sound is rubbish sounded really tinny. But main problem is that I can not connect this to the lg surround sound by optical.

Lg support is pointless after hours on phone still no way to work surround sound.

Great picture, great sound and relatively straightforward to navigate the features. Only two gripes so far, it’s fantastic to be able to record programmes to a memory stick, however it would be much more useful if I could watch another programme at the same time, the other gripe is I don’t be able to find ITV HUB as a catchup APP.

Amazon Prime, YouTube work well. I’ve found myself watching some great content on YouTube in 4K.
