20 Best Fat Tire Inner Tubes (2023 Updated)

This is a size not typically stocked in stores. So, if you have a 20×4 fat tire bike or ebike, get your tube before you need it. I recommend putting Slime in the tires. In Colorado, where I live, we have Goatshead stickers, which are pointy and sharp.

No matter how they fall to the ground, they always have one sticker pointing straight up. That one sticker point is strong enough to go through a tire and tube, resulting in a flat tire. If you have slime in your tube, it will self seal and save the day.

I have not yet used this tube. I bought it for the day my tube blows up and I need it.

Ok tube for the money . I got goat heads in the original one, had it patched but still slow leaks. Mongoose is good quality replacement, no problems yet.

I ordered wrong size. Cut it trashed it. My bad. End

Only just received but appears to be soundly made, high quality and thick. Time will tell how it holds up but confident it will.

Another overpriced bike innertube stamped on the tube “made in china”.

Bought 2 and had them installed on my bike with a puncture protector between the tube in the tire. Dont have many miles on them yet, but so far so good

I have tried 3 of these tubes over the past 3 years on my aging road bikes. One exploded the first inflation around 50 psi as someone else reported, and the other two quickly developed leaks. The last tube I replaced over the weekend went flat after about 2 miles, and I had to walk home with bike in tow.

Unless you really like replacing tubes or walking look elsewhere.

I normally am not the person to write reviews on websites but this was SO bad it was worthy of me doing this. I have went to my local Walmart 3 times for one of these tubes. Once for my front which has been on since I purchased the bike.

And twice for my back. I ride a lot but the tube should last for a 3 months or something like that. I wrote this review to be helpful before you make the mistake of buying this tube. And also my tube blew out about 10 minutes ago and it was one of these.

So, in conclusion I would not recommend the Goodyear tube. Thank you.

The back for the seat is too small and keeps popping off. It needs a little more material and a stronger elastic to hold it in place. I needed to add straps to stop it from popping off. This was on a Club Car Precedent.

The front tire in my BOB went flat. I searched online and found that this tube is much cheaper than other online options. It fits perfectly and has been on my stroller for about 8 miles now. Great price! If you’re looking for a low cost BOB front tube replacement then this is it!.

Maybe it’s just on me missing something but my tire says its 700 x 32, the Teravail tube I got says that it’s 700 x 28-35, and yet the diameter of the tube is way too big. There’s no way that I can use this.

If I’m missing something on my end I’d love to retract this one star rating, but as it stands now I can’t give anything else but one star.

My sons tire tube busted due to him riding the bike while the tire was low in air. Took the bike to Erik’s. They fixed the tire with the new Q tube. Seems to be a great product. He’s riding all over again.

I’m one of those people who pinch pennies where it doesn’t matter, so most of the tubes I use are of the “it’s mostly round” variety. For the extra pennies, I’ve gotta say these are definitely above what I typically use.

Might just keep spending the tiny bit extra for the uniformity, if nothing else.

I received two tubes from Zugo for doing a candid interview about my Rhino and my thoughts about the company. As fate would have it, I got a puncture on the day I received them. Perfect timing! I opted for the new tube over patching the old one.

I’ve had my bike for a year and needless to say with 1700 miles it was definitely worn in a bit. The new inner tube came quickly and I was able to be up and running the next day. They also sent a YouTube video with very detailed instructions for changing a tire.

Fat tubes have been hard to find recently and these are perfect. Note that “Presta RVC” in the description means Presta with a removable valve core. That was a nice touch that I didn’t expect. I was planning to add Slime, and hadn’t quite figured out a plan.

The removable core will make that much easier.

Have not used. But it was very hard to find these tubes anywhere Bike shop where I got the bike couldn’t get. I wanted a spare to carry with me when riding

Good training tubes, fairly heavy so something you do not want for races

They are still in box until Easter “Tour de Cowra” (renowned for cateye (goathead) thorns that can spike multiple tubes in a day). Tubes seem fine even if necks are longer than required for Mavic Axium Racing wheeis, and price can’t be beat.

Bontrager box, kenda tube inside. I purchased two bontrager tubes from rei only to get home and discover one of the boxes contained a cheap kenda tube with a short valve stem. I opened the other box to double check, and that one contained a bontrager tube with 60mm valve stem inside.

I had flat tyres within the week and I haven’t even used the bikes!!! I have purchased 4 tubes and used 2. Both the same result! Maybe I was unlucky but this doesn’t happen that often!!!

Please, and is it the second time that I ask the same question and without cost? I am interested to know and it is for a possible order if the Vittoria Standard cameras lends 48 m / m 700×28-42 ref. 10682526 the question is if the howitzer is detachable.

Very consistent tube. Holds air and less punctures than other brands.

Since I mounted them I have traveled about 400km on different terrains and I have not had any problems, unlike the tubes I used before, these hold the pressure perfectly

These tubes are thick and heavy. If you’re looking to roll the back trails with confidence and no pesky punctures these are the tubes for you. If you’re looking to lighten up your wheels these are not the tubes you’re looking for.

Bought four of these tubes for my wife’s mountain bike. She took a ride two days ago. In less than 12 miles, two of the tubes ruptured at the stem. Changed the tube out for the third time and in less than 1.

8 miles the tube ruptured at the stem again. I am throwing the fourth tube away. These are either poorly designed or have been sitting in a warehouse too long. Do not buy!!!.

Neatly packaged, basic tube. Only time will tell if it’s a decent tube or not. I got it as a pack back up to the Schwalbe (more expensive) tubes I normally run.

I live in the Big Bend area of Texas. Though l do not ride fast, this terrain is some of the toughest to be found. My 1974 Honda CT90 is up to the task, despite it’s age, and l needed innertubes to be up to the task as well.

These were recommended to me by a coworker who’s father restores old motocross bikes. These are all he uses. I Highly recommended these tunes. No harder to install than any others.

I installed this on my 2006 DRZ400S. It holds air much better than the previous one which had a giant nail impaled through it. With air inside, it dramatically improved the performance and handling of the bike.

A bit stiff to install but lubricated with soapy water and having a few beers made it much easier. You will need some type of pneumatic inflating device to fill them. PROS: They Are Round Hold Air, Included Valve Cap CONS: You Have To Install Them, Air Not Included, No instructions, Beer not included BEST USES: Swimming Holes, Motorcycle wheels.

Instalment was easy. I took my old deflated tubes and cut them up for rimstrips instead of buying new rimstrips. It worked out great but I highly suggest this HD quality over the STD tube. I had to mix and match HD and STD tubes because there was no HD tube available for my front tire.

Anyways my front tire tube is still good but it does deflate over a week of sitting. The back tire has remained stiff and inflated without use for 5 months, but I will have to see how long it remains so after 5 months of use.

PROS: Puncture resistant.

I purchased this to replace the tube inside my sons bike. It was very easy to install, and durable. It is really built to last my son is kind of a daredevil and he really does abuse his bike by doing stunts and just being a boy.

This has lasted longer than any other replacement tube I’ve purchased in the past. This tube is easy to install for even a beginner. The instructions are worded to assist even the most DIY unfriendly people.

Adding together both ease of install, the durability, and the abuse it has endured and prevailed, this is the replacement tube for me. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Bought 4 of these Slime Smart inner tubes to lessen the probability of getting a puncture. On my second ride with these tubes in both front and back I got a puncture from a very small thorn. Just about the tiniest hole possible.

The tyre deflated straight away and all the sealant leaked out all over the place, without sealing the tyre whatsoever. Changed the tube for one of the others that I had bought (took spare with me just in case as was not sure if the sealant would work).

The very next ride I got. yes you’re one step ahead already. another puncture in the other Slime tube. Exactly the same with sealant leaking out everywhere. When I got home I immediately swapped the Slime tubes for standard inner tubes, and it’s been happy days ever since.

No punctures even on overgrown trails with what I would have imagined would be more likely to give me a puncture. The Slime tubes for me seem to puncture more easily than standard tubes. Might keep the Slime tubes as last resort spares, but would not buy again.

I can confirm that this tube does work with a 27. 5” rim & 650b/47 tires. The packaging is confusing as they are listed as -Tour 26 (650c) All- however the specifications list a wide variety of tire sizes.

If you look at the chart on the side of the box (it’s sideways in the product picture) you’ll see what I mean.

Bought 4 of these tubes and had multiple flats but could not find the source of puncture. After close inspection, it was the tube that split at the seam. I patched it and I continued to get multiple splits along the same seam.

I thought perhaps this was a bad tube so I put in another one. The same thing happened; splits along the seam. These tubes are total garbage and they are most certainly NOT CONTINENTAL tubes. There is no marking on them at all.

I run my tires at very high pressures. Other brands have burst under the pressure. These have been excellent. Also other brands air is slowly realised and you have to top up the pressure before a ride.

These hold pressure for ages. These came with bright yellow dusts caps. If you like to use dust caps might be worth keeping your old once’s if colour coordination is important to you.

does what it says. made from very thick rubber. and looks like it will last a very long time but it has only just gone on. time will tell. the tube is a smaller than expected section and needs to be inflated to quite a high pressure before it filled our tyre but once up to 50psi all seem fine.

A lot better than cheap thin tubes.

Good Product

Have been running Tubeless the last couple years so I haven’t had to buy tubes. Went to loan out a tube to a stranded cyclist and my tube had a hole in it. Keep one in my seat bag for emergencies. Prefer lightweight 26″ PV tubes since they fit in all 3 size wheels.

First thing I noticed was how heavy these tubes are. Perhaps I have just been out of the tube game long enough. Would also be nice if they had removable valve cores, but not a neccesity. Have not used one of these, just replaced the dead tube in my seatbag.

For $3. 50 expectations shouldn’t be too high anyway. PROS: Easy To Install CONS: No Removable Valve Core, Heavy BEST USES: Casual Riding, Racing, Mountain Biking.

I pretty much order a tube or two with every Jenson order since they’re priced right. You can’t have too many tubes. Keep 2 in the tool box, 2 in your vehicle, and 2 in your pack, and never miss a ride! PROS: Durable, Lightweight, Easy To Install CONS: Limited Compatibility BEST USES: Casual Riding, Mountain Biking.

Replaced both on my bicycle,so far everything is ok , time will tell

Bought this a couple of months ago. The inner tube and valve stems seem really well made and the rubber is thick. I have put 200 kms on the inner tubes and new tires so far and there have been no leaks.

I’ve been using Kenda tubes for years now and I have a lot of faith in them. Usually priced lower than better known brands but just as good in my opinion.

These are great inner tubes. They dont flat very often. Would buy again.

So far so good. The smooth shaft presta valve stem seemed at first “cheap” or “skipped detail for lower production cost” which is probably true. But it’s staying straight so far. My Lezyne pump twists on just fine.

Apparently the lock-down collar on threaded shaft is not absolutely vital.

Great tire tube. The valve seated perfectly in the rim. No lump in the tire from the thickness of the vave seal. No air leakage from the valve. No punctures in over 100 miles of Single track ridding.

I can also ride for a week and not have to top off the air pressure. I could not be happier with my purchase. I will be buying more of these tubes.

If you’re using fat tires this fat tube is the way to go. Be sure to preinflate the tube with a few pounds of pressure so it can be easily fitted to the tire. Just enough pressure to form the doughnut.

Bought 2 of these from in store. Fitted the first no issues. Fitted the second to the front wheel. No sooner was it inflated, it failed, split 6 inches from the valve stem on the welded joint. This was right on the inner rim and was not pinched in any way.

I had not even refitted the wheel when the air all gushed out due to the severity of the failure. To be fair I returned for a refund, no quibble. However, the first tube fitted only a few hours later has also failed too.

Will be taking this one back also. Personally I would not buy specialised tubes again from any retailer. In fact when I was returning the first tube, I over heard one of the staff say, oh we’ve got another one that’s split.

Sounds like a regular occurrence.

Bought 2 from a local bike shop. $11 a piece. Installed first which was fine. Second one burst at 35 psi while installing. First one burst the next morning. Took both to the bike shop. They replaced one at no cost, but that one also bursted while the bike tech was installing.

For some reason this tube is longer than the original 20×1. 5/1. 75 Kenda tube. This is for a foldable bike.

The tube was of great value for the price of the tire tube! I was road biking when I caught some glass, and one punctured the previous tube quite quickly. However, after replacing these tubes, refilling air, and riding in more rough conditions, the tubes held up.

I plan on getting more of the tubes as a backup in case I need to replace them, but I have not had to replace my tubes after multiple 20+ mile rides. Installing was very simple once I got the tires off and the valves are sturdy for filling up air.

I hope they stay for long time. I had little difficulty while pushing them into a 20 x 2. 3 new tires. I purchased this as mentioned on the old tire. But after installing the bike seems to be fine. Had for a week and my son is riding it everyday.

So far no problems.
