Facial toners are designed to remove excess oil and dirt from the skin, and they can be particularly beneficial for people with oily skin. Toners can help to control shine, minimize the appearance of pores, and even out the skin tone.
When choosing a facial toner for oily skin, it is important to select one that is alcohol-free and oil-free, as these formulas are less likely to strip the skin or cause further irritation.

I just tried a new @beautybyearth Facial Toner that i found on @iherb. I was really impressed because it smells just like roses!! It also has a pump dispenser which I have never seen before and it makes it so easy to apply to your face!! This has wich hazel, aloe vera.
rose water and cucumber, they make it very refreshing, plus it moisturizes, cleanses and it works for all skin types. *contains green tea from Jeju Island which helps control sebum and sooth skin. Also contains Willowbark and blueberry extract. This is a lovely toner. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean without being drying.
This toner has a light brown color and a watery consistency that absorbs into my skin well with an extremely light-weight feeling on my face. The scent is neutral with a slight herbal scent. Since using Green Tea Fresh Toner I have noticed my problem areas (T-zone) are less oily and my pores less congested.
This toner is a great option for those with acne-prone and combination/ oily skin types.
Love this product! It is easily absorbed by the skin and very hydrating. This is my first bottle so it is too early to tell whether or not the antioxidants will make a difference. I put it on my face in the evening, after cleansing and before applying retinoids so that it can draw them more deeply into the skin (as advised by Angie of Hot Flashy).
I don’t love the scent. It’s a little bit like a hazelnut candle, but it isn’t overwhelming and dissipates quickly. It is affordably priced and lasts a very long time. I just sprinkle a little on my hands and then apply it directly to my face so that there is no cotton ball to absorb the liquid.
I will definitely replace this bottle when I run out. I may also get one of those brown glass spray bottles so that I can spritz it right onto my face.
Named Best Toner by Child magazine. An effective toner formulated with select herbal extracts to gently cleanse and soothe normal to oily skin types. Alcohol-free, no harsh synthetic drying agents. Designed to soothe and improve problem skin.
Made with whole flowers and pure extracts. Maintains the natural balance and integrity of skin. Made in USA.
I definitely recommend giving this toner a try. Ive tried d so many toners and this is by far is the most suitable for my combination skin type. The toner is so lightweight that it literally feels just like water on your hands.
You might want to reapply if you want to feel more hydration your face. In my case I just get a couple drops pt it dry then apply my liquid essence to feel more hydrated. So what does calendula does to your skin? On their website it states that it reduces redness, oiliness and improve skin’s texture it also reduce the appearance of pores.
Been using it for 4 days and i love how my skin looks glowy and fresh in the morning. I will continue using this and will update you guys if my skin really loves this product.
This is my ultimate, favorite toner to use. I got exposed to Kiehl’s products a few years ago when I first got into skincare. A friend of mine was raving about it on Instagram so I figured I’d try the brand.
I got all of the best sellers and I fell in love with every product. I also got this toner and LOVED IT. But I hadn’t really tried other brands yet, so after a while I wanted to explore and see what other brands had to offer.
I did, and while the various toners I tried were great, none of them were as good as this one. So about a year later after trying other products I’ve come back to my trusted Kiehl’s toner & products! I will use this til the end of time and I highly recommend it! I even got my mother Kiehl’s products for the holidays to start her on skincare.
I’ve also tried the cucumber toner and while I do like it (I’ve got dry skin), my skin just likes this toner better!.
This is one of very few products I keep using even as I rotate out the others. Oily skin, not prone to breakouts but prone to redness. A pass or two of this before my morning routine preps my face for the rest of my skincare routine and makeup.
THAT SAID—when I first started with this toner I didn’t think it did much. So After a bottle or two, I dropped it. But after I did, I gradually noticed my skin tone was more uneven and my red areas ( lower cheeks, sides of nose) were riddler and patchier.
Went back to it and saw improvements within a couple weeks. I think it’s a product with slow improvement—so incremental you might not realize it’s doing anything. But when you go off it, you realize the benefit it had.
Our salicylic acid toner is formulated with a triple-acid blend that gently exfoliates and purifies and is non-stripping and non-drying. It helps brighten skin, helps refine pores and even complexion.
Sweeps away any remaining traces of surface debris, so skin is perfectly prepped to absorb your favourite serum and moisturiser. This alcohol-free toner contains 8. 5% glycolic acid which is an alpha hydroxy acid that dissolves the bonds between dead skin cells to encourage shedding, so new cells can generate, thus helping reveal a clearer, brighter, smoother complexion.
Free of parabens, silicones, PEGs, SLS, SLES, and mineral oils. Vegan and cruelty-free. Made in the UK.
It’s been quite a while since I was so excited about a skincare product! I haven’t used glycolic acid in probably 5-7 years due to some bad prior experiences with acids (AHA:s and PHA:s). I’ve overexfoliated with glycolic acid (AHA) before, and gluconolactone (PHA) makes my skin very red, oily and broken out overnight even though it’s supposed to be the most gentle acid.
But now that I’m almost 30 I was curious to at least *try* an AHA again (for anti-aging and whatnot). My skin is very prone to clogged pores, so I normally always use a toner with salicylic acid to help with that, but I put my current toner aside to try the Glycolacsal instead.
And the difference was pretty immediate, I must say. I put on the Glycolacsal, left it to do it’s thing for a while, then did a little bit of blue/red light theraphy. Later when I went to put on the rest of my skincare, my serums and my mousturiser just absorbed into my skin in a totally new way, like my skin was just “drinking” it all in or something (in a good way!).
Also, there must be something in my previous toner that my skin doesn’t like, because despite it having 2 % salicylic acid to combat skin oil, my skin the next day felt noticably LESS oily with the Glycolacsal (which only has 1 %).
And the next time I washed my face my skin texture actually felt smoother than before. I’m very excited to see the more long-term effects! The texture is very lightweight and sinks into the skin with hardly any residue and absolutely no stickiness.
It stings/tingles somewhat after application, but it doesn’t actually hurt or feel uncomfortable, and even though I’ve only used it for about two weeks I feel it a little bit less with each application.
My skin is pretty clear already, so I haven’t really noticed anything that I would call purging, nor any other kind of irritation (like increased redness etc. ). I currently use it about every other or every third evening (and no, I’m not forgetting my SPF 50+ sunscreen during the day 😉).
I don’t usually write a review but this toner making my skin so glowy. I was hesitant trying it because I am oily acne prone skin-sensitive. It’s hard for me to find a product that suits my skin. No breakouts, no black-and-white head.
Like I wish I used it last year when I first ordered FT. Some of FT broke me out. I guess it depends what your skin like. For skintype like what I have, give this a try. Make sure use essence and moisturizer that you know you won’t breakout.
I tested it first for more than a week. And now I’m so happy but it can be drying a lil for me but I have a moisturizer that I have been using for a long time.
This stuff is magical I think, I have hyper sensitive skin but it doesn’t get irritated in the slightest with this. I’ve found it helps exfoliate my skin gently and helps with dry skin. I’ve also noticed since starting this that my blackheads aren’t as noticeable and my skin just looks and feels smoother in general.
I had a bit of tingling the first time I used it but only once and no signs of irritation at all since. I feel like this has really helped the chronic dry patches I had on my eyebrows that I just couldn’t get rid of, now they are barely noticeable after using this every evening.
Providing an extra step in your cleansing routine, the FARMACY toner helps to unclog pores, leaving them free from impurities for a more breathable finish. Formulated with a 2% BHA (Salicylic Acid) concentration along with Papaya Enzymes, the lightweight, water-like fluid carefully buffs away at dead skin to promote a brighter, healthier-looking surface that seems refined.
The toner is perfect for anyone who has a combination to oily skin type or is prone to acne and breakouts. After use, your skin will appear to have less shine for a matte, natural-looking end result.
Skin will never be stripped of essential goodness, allowing it to feel balanced and nourished for longer. Finished off with Moringa and antioxidant Chlorella, the toner protects and soothes for lasting comfort.
Free from parabens, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, mineral oil and cruelty.
Skin type: combination (oily/dehydrated/dull/acne prone) Only used for 2 days but already notice radiant complexion and glowy skin, no more blackheads, shrunken pores, acne scarring fading & scabs drying & falling off.
Prefer to use at night to prevent sun damage & apply niacinimide (the ordinary) straight after since it works great with salicylic acid & reduces dry skin after toning. This warns a tingling feeling but I’ve no experience with tingling or allergic reaction unlike other strong salicylic acid products that sting my skin.
If I continue to see results I may increase to twice a day but I’m starting slow which is recommended. This is the first toner I’ve ever experienced that actually benefits my skin instead of doing nothing by just “removing excess dirt”.
The application is unique as it can only let out little product at a time which prevents wasting it like most toner bottles. I’ve given 4 stars as it is expensive however that is expected for scientific formula containing no alcohol, no fragrance, no oil, no sulfates.
But better than the price range for expensive brands like paulas choice for sure. However the bottle is glass which is beneficial for the environment incase this is a concern for eco warriors.
This product has been an absolute godsend! Because it is an exfoliant, it has helped my skin purge all its impurities and gives me such a lovely glow. I appreciate how it does not contain alcohol. I use it once every other day, since I have sensitive skin, and I can tell that it makes a difference.
My makeup application has gone on smoother since this product has taken care of skin/product buildup on my face. I have combination skin, and I find that it doesn’t dry out the parts of my skin that tends to be dryer than my t-zone.
Would definitely recommend for those trying to incorporate a step in their skincare routine that will help achieve a glow and a smoother complexion. I am a gallery owner, and I always try to look my best, and this product has definitely gotten me some compliments on how bright and healthy my complexion looks.

This is the first Men’s Toner that I have used in probably 20 years that not only does what it says it will do, but also that I truly enjoy using everyday. Sometimes twice a day. I have very oily skin and have unfortunately had to constantly treat a form of Acne that I have had my entire life, called Cystic Acne.
Those of you out there with this type of Acne, I do not have to tell what it is like to deal with this on a daily basis. One of the main things I look for in a noted good Toner is it’s effectiveness to actually clean my skin and after using it for me to really feel that it has done it’s job.
Let me tell you this Toner is worth every penny you pay for it and then some. I personally do not like products that have a heavy lingering fragrant smell. The first thing I noticed about this toner was the amazing wonderful smell of Cucumber.
!! WOW! Just the smell of cucumber makes me Instantly feel clean. After first using this Toner, I Immediately felt like it really did a great job! I had no visible signs of surface oil anywhere on my skin that I applied this Toner too.
I could feel my skin tighten up and my pores looked barely noticeable and clean. I was very Impressed with just how long this Toner kept my skin from feeling oily again. After continued use of this Toner, I noticed no more new breakouts.
I also noticed that in certain areas where I had white heads, they were diminishing. Just as I highly recommend all of Brickell Men’s products because they really work!! This Toner comes in a Spray which I think is so awesome, because you can take it with you and on days that are warmer than others and you feel like you need a refresher, Just pull it out and spray and feel you face come back to life again.
I gently massage mine in or carry cotton balls with me and use those to spread it all over. Another really attractive service that Brickell offers is there sample kit you can order. It’s well worth the small S/H that you pay for a lot of product.
Plus you can customize the sample kit around your skin type. When you order from Brickell’s website you can pick samples of their amazing line of high quality products made especially for us Men you would also like to try and they will come with your order.
I decided to try the balancing toner simply on a whim. I’d never used or even really heard of something like this for men’s skincare. Now I use it every day. My skin seems to be very dry in the mornings, but then gets oily throughout the day.
I can use the toner early in the day and because it doesn’t have alcohol in it, it doesn’t dry my skin out more, but I don’t hesitate to use it occasionally throughout the day to eliminate any shine my face gets as the day goes on.
Just a few squirts on a cotton ball and you are set. Also, the bottle seems to last forever!.
I’m a 41 year old man with oily acne-prone skin. Actually this is the first toner I’ve ever used, but it’s quickly become part of my skin care routine. I often have a lot of shine by mid to late afternoon on my face and my bald head.
I love a quick wipe with this toner (usually apply to a cotton pad) to leave my skin feeling refreshed and looking much more natural (i. e. not greasy). On less active days, I still use the toner at night after cleansing my face.
I also feel like it has reduced my acne overall over time, and in fact, it’s probably the only natural product I’ve used that has helped. Disclaimer, I do take an antibiotic daily for my acne and have a prescription cream and Rx strength face wash.
Since using Brickell toner, face wash, and moisturizer daily, I have reduced my reliance on the Rx cream and face wash, which was the goal. Overall, the toner is definitely worth a try, it’s a very versatile product that can really help your overall skin health.
I’m pretty impressed by Brickell and the thoughtfulness of their products.
SKIN BALANCING Pore-Reducing Toner helps balance skin with antioxidants and hydrating ceramides, making oily areas less noticeable and skin more even, smooth, moisturized, and protected. Niacinamide helps improve the appearance of enlarged pores over time.
This is a remarkably effective formula with an amazingly weightless feel on skin. It offers proven antioxidants, soothing plant extracts, and niacinamide to help tone down oily skin and minimize pore size.
It’s exceptionally lightweight liquid formula still provides high-quality hydration to diminish dry flaky areas of skin. All Paula’s Choice products are 100% fragrance free, clinically proven to be non-irritating, and never tested on animals.
I had done my morning skincare routine by the time this was delivered this morning, but I was keen to try out the texture so I put the tiniest dot on my left hand. It spread everywhere, took a few seconds to sink in and I thought – “cool, feels nice”.
3 hours later I’m driving home from a meeting, my hands roughly at 10 and 2, and I look down at said hands. This magical liquid gave me a full Madeline Ashton moment no word of a lie. For the uninitiated, my left hand looked like it did when I was 25 and my right hand was dry, red and aged.
This clearly has very potent hydrating and soothing properties which is what I’m looking for from my toner to help reduce the side effects of Tret, and I cannot wait to start using this product proper.
Hi Alex, Thank you for that great review. Sounds like you have found your ideal toner, at least for your hands, anyway! I hope that your face appreciates it just as much. Please feel free to contact us at Customer Care if you need any further product recommendations.
Best wishes, Natasha – Paula’s Choice Customer Care Team.
I started using PC products about 6 months ago, and have really loved the results with most of them. I started with the CLEAR products which got some menopausal/maskne under control. At 54, I am also looking for anti-aging ingredients and added the peptide booster which is wonderful for my skin.
To address acne scarring and discoloration, I added the Vitamin C and azeleic acid boosters. I use the BHA 9 to address sebaceous hyperplasia spots and any congestion that pops up. My skin is the clearest it’s been in a looong time.
The only two products that my skin seems to do poorly with are the Niacinamide 20% and the Pore Reducing Toner. Each time I’ve added them to my routine to address pore size, I break out. So I’ve discontinued using them as it seems I am sensitive to these two products.
I bought this product for my 14 year old suffering from acne (I think hormonal. ) It immediately caused redness & irritation. He told me my face is burning. The next day we saw some small red patches on his face where he had no problems as a matter of fact those areas on his face still have the look of baby face.
Let me tell you why we still give it 4 stars. He had some big and stubborn Blackheads on his nose and when he woke up we can see them closer to the surface and we were able to remove at least one big one without a problem.
I believe this happened after the 2nd time he used the product. He is taking a break from it, but wants to try it again just on the nose to see if the rest of the blackheads come out to the surface so that we can extract them without damaging the skin.
I wish we knew what exactly cause the burning and irritation.
True Botanicals Clear Nutrient Toner: Created specifically for people with problem skin, this toner gently clarifies, leaving skin hydrated and glowing. Black willow bark extract, a natural source of salicylic acid, cleanses and refines, while live-leaf extract and sandalwood calm and help prevent future breakouts.
For clear glowing, hydrated skin, this is an essential step. 4 fl oz.
I’ve been using the clear line (cleanser, toner, oil) and I’m so pleased with how my skin looks AND feels. It looks soft, if that makes sense – like everything has been smoothed over. Also, I was nervous about the radiance oil making me oily – it does not! Just moisturizes and disappears into my skin.
I started with just the cleanser. Then, I tried the toner bc the one I was using ran out and reviews of the TB clear toner made it look promising. In that order, I got a sample of the oil. Honestly, the oil is what did me in officially bc it completed my whole routine! Also, I’m 35 with combination/oily, sensitive skin that breaks out around my period and if I put anything aggressive on it.
I alternate mandelic acid and vitamin c treatments for my nighttime routine and only use my TB Clear regimen in the morning. My skin looks the best it has in years!.
Holy smokes – I swear this is the only thing that keeps my skin clear. I’m 36 and have been struggling with adult acne for a few years. I have combination skin and was skeptical about trying True Botanicals.
The Clear line changed my LIFE. I use the cleanser, oil, and Chebula serum – all absolutely incredible. But what really kicked my skin into gear is this toner. If you get one product, this is it. And bonus? It’s also helping with fine lines.
The only toner I can actually use without experiencing irritation, clogged pores, dry skin. This seems to nourish my skin and somehow clean it and open it up to ready it for the chebulla serum and/or one face oil.
The ingredients seem to work very well with my skin. I use mostly the Clear line, although, perhaps thanks to using it for over a year my skin is now amenable to products from the Calm and Renew lines as well.
What do you get when you combine the benefits of toner and serum in one? Pores look smaller, skin looks clearer. Dark spots are less visible and your skin tone and texture evens out over time. It instantly reduces oil and keeps you from looking shiny all day.
Scented like a sweet blend of cherry and sun-kissed fig, its unique thick texture absorbs instantly; just pour it into your hand to apply. No cotton pads needed = less waste. It’s got all the perks of a serum, too.
Nourishing hydration leaves skin smooth, plump, and replenished – never stripped, dry, or tight. Toners help your pores look tighter and control oil. Serums deliver powerful ingredients that target skin concerns like dark spots.
This toner-serum combo does both. “ This is my favourite step in my routine – I’ve never used anything like it before. It’s a combo of a toner and a serum so it’s a multitasker, like two products in one.
It targets pores, dark spots, uneven tone and texture, oil – it’s the secret sauce. ” Oil free. Alcohol free. Noncomedogenic (aka won’t clog pores). For all skin types. Clean, vegan, and gluten-free.
I first bought this to see if it would anyway help with boosting my complexion and PIH/dark spots on my face. I was hoping that this product would slightly help with my complexion and expecting it to cause acne breakouts and/or irritation on my sensitive skin.
Sometimes I get surprised by which products my skin decides not to react to. I was speechless with the results that this toner gave me. and then when my speechlessness recovered I couldn’t stop talking about it! My acne went from roughly 50% severe (average pencil eraser-head sized) and 50% cystic (dime-sized) to 40% severe, 30% cystic (Jan 2022) to 30% severe & 20% cystic (May 2022).
This product also lightened up my PIH from a dark brown to a less dark brown and helped (along with rest of my skincare) erase some dark marks. It smells like a tropical cherry and floral combo, sweeter, more tropical, less intense than the cleanser.
The smell vanishes within 3 minutes. This toner feels like a loose gel or a serum in my hands. I prefer to use my hands to apply this. Fat water toner has the EXACT SAME texture on the face as the Avène anti-imperfection concentrate.
I 100% believe that there were some cosmetic formulators/scientists/chemists shared between the teams behind these products. On top of it, both companies have French connections (Avène is French and Fenty Skin is co-owned by LVMH).
You cannot convince me otherwise. The packaging is nice, pretty, and sleek. While I usually prefer pumps for serum, I like this method of pouring out the toner as for me, the toner is too liquid-y to be a proper serum.
I like the quantity, 50 mL lasts ~1. 5 months sporadically used (1-2 times a week) and 150 mL is enough for alternate day application on my face for 4 months. A staple in my skincare routine & must-have product in regards to my acne, PIH, and dark marks.
This is the only product in the line where I know the only issue that came up for me could have came from. I ordered the set that included the total remove it all cleanser, toner, and the moisturizer.
However, with the toner, since it does include witch hazel, it dried out my skin a slight bit. I’d like to mention that I have really sensitive skin and my skin always gets irritated when trying out new products and I experience bad redness although none of these products made my face red which is a first and something I was beyond impressed with.
I have never suffered from acne besides one year in high school or have ever had oily skin and I have never suffered any skin condition such rosacea, eczema, or psoriasis. I only like to use witch hazel on my face whenever I have a small stubborn pimple, because it usually does the trick.
However, I don’t really like to use just witch hazel on my face, because my skin is way too sensitive for that. However, after going through my skincare routine with these products, most likely from the toner, I experienced a little bit of peeling only outside of the area surrounding the outside of my lips, which I thought was kind of weird, no where else on my face, just that specific part.
Also, I experienced no redness at all which is something quite shocking to me, my skin did not feel warm and hot, and I only experienced all little discomfort from my skin on the area surrounding the outside of my lips, because a couple hours later after using all the products I noticed, small white flakes surrounding just that area on my face.
Whenever, I have used a bottled of just which hazel alone from the drug store, it does not matter what brand, all brands that I have used cause my skin to peel by really drying it out and I get a lot of white flakes.
However, with the fat water just a slight bit of peeling because I only had a few white flakes appear on my face on just that spot of my face. I experienced no redness at all from this product alone or the other ones in this skincare line, which I’m amazed with and it’s very difficult to find something that actually works on your face when you have extremely sensitive skin like me and works good for your skin skin, because I did not get any redness at all and my skin did not feel like it was burning for once.
I would like to mention that the white flakes were gone after I splashed just some water on my face and my white flakes were removed and you weren’t even able to tell that my skin even slightly peeled in the first place, which I thought was really great and whenever I put some just some witch hazel alone on my face, the peeling and white flakes never go away after wetting my face with water, they only go away 2 days later after I last used the witch hazel.
I thought the fat water was still good, but would probably be the only thing I wouldn’t reorder after I finish this one that came with my set I ordered, because I don’t find it necessary, since I have extremely sensitive skin and anyone with sensitive skin like myself, I don’t think it’s necessary if the fat water did that to you.
However, I do want to mention that I think anyone wouldn’t mind using this product, who has any other skin type besides those who have sensitive skin like myself and I thought the product was still good.
Only issue that came was that it did dry up my skin slightly, because of some white flakes surrounding that spot on my face and no redness from extreme irritation and no burning at all, which I thought was still great, because for me it’s so hard to find a product that does leave my face all red and feels like it’s burning my face.
I think all other skin types would think that this product is still great, besides those with sensitive skin. This is the only reason why I would avoid this specific product in the future, because of this small issue that resulted after using the entire skincare routine and I don’t think it was a must have for me and why it’s a pass, overall very impressed with the other two products, besides this one.
I have combo dry skin, and when it’s hot-humid-sticky weather, I get tiny zit like bumps around my T-zone. Needless to say, this toner is used for this weather. My skincare routine is catered to the seasons, so it changes as needed.
I don’t wash my face with soap twice a day, I do it once a day so I don’t strip away too much of my natural oils. I feel like this toner could have a higher performance potential on healthy “skin barriers”.
I didn’t get this to “shrink” my pores, rather I got this to protect my pores from clogging invasions from a multitude of foreign threats. I like to apply this toner after light exfoliation to avoid dead skin cells from teaming up together and clumping.
I do get a light tingling sensation when applied, and I do notice some shine control where my problem pores are. It helped reduce the look of enlarged pores. I like to spread the product and lightly pat the product into my skin where I need a bit more help.
I like that it has vitamin C and niacinamide, so it’s a pretty good summer toner to apply for improved spf benefits from sun protection. I personally wouldn’t use this toner on dryer weather like winter.
My go-to is Laneige or Fresh for that. This product works for me, and good luck for people still looking for a product that can work for them.
Cocokind Toner – Facial Vinegar Raspberry – 4 Oz Cocokind, raspberry vinegar toner is made of water and raspberry vinegar and is helpful for oily or blemish prone skin. It is a post cleansing solution that helps get clear, even skin.
The only things in this toner are raspberry vinegar and water. That’s all. It is made by pressing fruit into a juicer then fermenting it over a long period. This process creates a truly nutrient and acetic acid rich vinegar that still retains a portion of the vitamins and antioxidants naturally present in the fruit.
This toner is not tested on animals. It is Non-GMO, organic, vegan and each box contains 4 fl oz it does not have any alcohol, chemicals, fragrances, parabens or preservatives. See box for possible allergens.
Overall, I really liked the way this felt on my skin and I used the whole (giant!) bottle up. Here is my warning: yes, this really has vinegar, and while I like the smell, it STINGS if you get it in your eyes and it will make you cough if you breathe in too soon after spraying it, LOL! I would make jokes that I felt like a salad after using this, because it really does smell like salad dressing (not in a bad way).
However, the scent didn’t linger for too long. My one struggle with this was that I get patches of red/irritated eczema spots, and again, being that it is vinegar, it would sting those spots pretty badly (I wouldn’t apply it over those areas on purpose, but would sometimes discover them through accidentally getting this toner on the spot – kind of like finding a papercut by using hand sanitizer).
These complaints are probably just user error, but still, a word of caution for my fellow sensitive skin folks! Just use it cautiously to avoid stinging your eyes/skin/throat!.
I got Cocokind’s raspberry vinegar toner at a TJ Maxx about 2 months ago. I’ve been using it since and the bottle is only just now starting to run low. I’ve always liked to use toners, but many have been too harsh for my skin and leave painful redness.
This toner is great! Feels gentle and only stings a little when it gets on open acne (but that’s probably expected, it’s killing germs). It has helped clear my face quite a bit thanks to drying out my existing acne and keeping those bad bacteria away.
Only slight con is that the vinegar scent is extremely strong (makes sense) and you can’t breathe in for a minute after spraying it otherwise you will breathe in aerosolized vinegar lol. It’s worth it for the skincare though!.
I seriously love this stuff! Having tried about a million toners before this one, I never seemed to notice any benefits from using them, and they were often very harsh and drying. The raspberry vinegar toner is the *best*! I use a couple spritzes directly onto my face morning and night–if I notice the beginnings of a breakout I’ll dab a little extra in that area and it works its magic.
My very fussy skin finally feels balanced and clear. My only tiny complaint about this product is that it does have a pretty strong vinegar scent (as the name suggests!) when you first apply it. However, it dissipates pretty quickly and is more than worth it to me for such a great toner!.

Hey, Beauties! I received a toner and serum that’s a “clear genius. ” #blissskincaregiftedme the Bliss Clear Genius™ Clarifying Toner + Serum combines the benefits of a toner and a serum. The dual action Clear Genius Toner & Serum is clinically proven to provide clear, calm skin in days.
The game-changing treatment combines the benefits of a toner that gently refreshes your skin without stripping your skin’s natural moisture and a serum to treat. The toner cleaned and toned my skin, while the serum delivered concentrated ingredients for skin clarity and texture.
That’s two steps in one. In a matter of days, the dual-acting toner & serum decongested my pores and exfoliated dead cells; my skin looked clearer and smooth. So, what powers this Blue miracle treatment; it’s Bliss’ proprietary Clarity 5 Complex, BHA (Salicylic Acid), which clears out pores and controls excess sebum while promoting cell turnover.
Witch Hazel soothes and tones and clears clogged pores. Niacinamide, a. k. a Vitamin B, helps diminish pores and blemishes while shielding skin from environmental stressors. Zinc regulates your skin’s oil production while calming redness, and CICA calms and soothes your skin from dehydration or irritation.
I’m obsessed with Bliss Skincare, but this toner serum is my favorite; as a combination oily skin gal, it provides my skin with brightness, acne/oil control, hydration, and a glow with no irritation! A must “try”! All Bliss products are clean, cruelty-free, Vegan, Green, and planet-friendly; Huge thanks, @bliss for gifting me this fantastic skincare product to review!.
Hey Beauties!! #BlissGiftedMe this game-changing treatment that combines the benefits of a toner plus serum to purify your pores, tone your skin and deliver concentrated ingredients for ultimate clarity without over-drying or irritating skin.
This is powered by Bliss’ proprietary CLARITY 5 COMPLEX™ with BHA (salicylic acid), witch hazel water, niacinamide, zinc PCA & cica. The unique soothing, cushiony formula is Alcohol Free, Non-Comedogenic, Vegan and Cruelty Free! This product is made for all skin types, especially oily and problem skin.
Key Ingredients: BHA (Salicylic Acid)~ Clears out pores and controls excess oil production while promoting the easy removal of dead skin cells. Witch Hazel Water~ Natural astringent soothes and tones while helping clear clogged pores.
Niaiacinamide~ Also known as Vitamin B, helps diminish pores and blemishes while shielding skin from environmental stressors. Zinc PCA~ Regulates skin’s oil production while calming redness. Cica~ Known to calm and soothe skin from dehydration or irritation.
After I read that this had Cica in it, I knew I was going to fall in love. This toner is so light and soothing. I found no irritation or drying upon using this product, which is wonderful. I also found this to leave my skin looking cleaner and healthier.
You can find this beauty at @UltaBeauty, @Target, @Walgreens @CVSPharmacy, @Amazon and @Walmart. Product Shown: @Bliss~ Clear Genius Toner + Serum.
I was gifted this product from Bliss to review. Prior to receiving the Clear Genius Clarifying Toner + Serum, I had mainly used witch hazel or astringent type of toners. I always liked that dry but hydrated feel after using those toners so I was very curious to see how this one held up.
First, I love a product that is multi-functional, and this serum and toner combo is perfect. Second, there is still witch hazel in the toner, but the smell is very mild. Much different than my usual liquid toners.
Third, the texture is gel-like, but very soft and non-sticky. It took me a little bit to get used to the top dispensing system, but once I did it is an ingenious detail to this product. One of my favorite things about Bliss is that they seem to really consider the consumer when creating their packaging and products.
They feel very attainable and luxurious for the middle-class working person or stay-at-home parent or anything in between. Lastly, this product works! I do not have consistent breakouts, but here and there, (especially in the summer heat) I will get a pimple or two that will pop up every so often.
When that happens I use this product both morning and night and within 24-48 hours the pimple is gone! My teenage self would have bought this product in bulk had it been available in the early 2000’s.
This is a great product for acne prone skin or skin that gets breakouts here and there.
Obagi Nu-Derm Toner 6. 7 fl oz (198 ml) OBAGI Nu-Derm Toner is a refreshing blend of natural ingredients and herbs that hydrates and tones the skin while restoring its normal pH balance. It prepares the skin for application of Obagi Nu-Derm Clear and other key OBAGI ingredients.
Hydrates, calms, soothes and tones the skin. Preserves, and locks-in the moisture of the skin. Prepares the skin for optimal penetration of the system’s treatment application. How to use: After cleansing, apply Toner onto face and throat with a cotton ball.
Do not rinse off. Use twice daily. For optimal results, use OBAGI cleanser and moisturizer and follow with OBAGI sunscreen while exposing to the sun.
I’ve found that when you’re using the tretinoin cream that is called for when applying Obagi products, my skin burns slightly when using other toners. The Obagi toner seems obviously made to prevent this sensation.
I’ve used Obagi products almost 20 years, and my skin is in amazingly good shape. I was advised by a dermatologist when I first started using the toner years ago not to put it on a cotton ball to apply it because this wastes all the toner that stays in the cotton ball.
Instead, she advised that I get a small spray bottle at a beauty supply store, fill it with Obagi toner, and spray directly on my cheeks and forehead and spread it around with my fingers. The toner goes a lot further this way.
This toner has really helped my skin. I purchased this as part of a kit from the “best of Dermstore” section. My skin has always been extremely oily and in my 20s I started developing painful and embarrassing hormonal/cystic acne.
I was afraid to do anything to hydrate my skin because it would always seem to create more problems. When I tried this toner I thought it would just dry me out and be a waste. But, I was completely WRONG! This toner really works to balance out my skin and has actually worked to hydrate my skin and not strip it with harsh chemicals.
If you are struggling with any kind of acne, this toner is a must-have for you! Even if you choose to purchase it as part of a kit to try it out, I definitely recommend the “Best of Dermstore Kit” to really get the most bang for your buck!.
I have been using this Obagi toner for over 15 years. It is very mild and my face always feels so refreshed after I use it. It helps remove any last bits of makeup on your skin after washing your face.
It’s also a great skin refresher throughout the day. I’ve tried many other toners but always come back to my Nu Derm toner. I can’t say that it offers any real skin benefits other than feeling good on the skin, but I’m obsessed.
It is very expensive, so try to buy it when it’s on sale.

I have been using the DHC deep oil cleanser for a while but have been looking for a cruelty free alternative. This wasn’t it for me. I was really hoping to like this because I love the Super Bloom Vit C brightening Serum.
Overview: The product is too viscous and doesn’t pull from or cleanse the skin of impurities or makeup that may have a waxier deposit like eyebrow pencil. I ended up with so many little blackheads and tiny whiteheads.
After rinsing the feeling of the product left behind is thick and not the lightweight dewy I was expecting or am used to. It was sticky. I’ve used it sink side and in the shower to try to give it its best opportunity to melt away.
It’s not drying but I feel like I’d get the same results dunking my face in oil and blotting it away. The star is deserved solely because the glass packaging and pump are sturdy and well made. I did take the travel size Kari Gran cleansing oil on a short trip we took and I enjoyed it though the price feels a little steep for my budget.
Overall the Roven Super Bloom Daily Dew Cleansing Oil is not the replacement to DHC for me.
I’m in love with the entire Roven Super Bloom line of skin care products, however the Illuminating Gel Moisturizer might be the one exception. I have rosacea and super dry skin and unfortunately the Illuminating Gel Moisturizer just wasn’t enough for me.
I found myself needing additional moisturizing products through the day. This product was provided to me to test and review, and is specifically designed for people with oily to combination skin. My experience with this product is probably as expected, and not a reflection on the product, but just a result of poorly matched skin care needs.
I will say that the moisturizer is very thin and light weight. The gel goes on super smooth and absorbs instantly and wears very well under makeup. I would also note that my skin is sensitive, and this did not bother me at all.
Its virtually scentless, and didn’t cause my rosacea to flare. While this moisturizer isn’t going to work for me for those that have normal to oily skin, I’m betting this is a home run. (Customer received this complimentary product in exchange for their unbiased opinion.
I was fed up, having tried many products for my acne over the years, while it just got steadily worse. About two months ago I started using The Ordinary’s niacinamide and zinc serum, which helped calm and heal my acne, but wasn’t helping prevent breakouts really.
I knew I needed to add a cleanser, but I wanted something natural and gentle, especially since the air is very dry where I live. I got this cleanser about 3 weeks ago, and the difference is amazing!! My skin is so much clearer and improves every day.
I feel confident! It’s possible this could change over time, if so I’ll update my review, but when this bottle runs out I’m definitely getting another!!.
Life’s too short to use products that burn or sting. Fortunately, this alcohol-free toner does just the opposite, gently soothing and balancing skin without the ouch factor. Apricot kernel oil moisturizes and softens with its high vitamin E content while fatty acid-rich avocado oil restores skin’s naturally smooth texture.
Squalane, a signature Kiehl’s ingredient, balances hydration levels and preps skin to absorb and optimize the rest of your skincare regimen.
I’ve seen a number of reviews saying this product was drying. I don’t see how it could possibly be drying. This is a water based toner. The third ingredient is squalane, a shelf-stable hydrocarbon derived from squalene, which is a naturally occurring skin moisturizing agent and protector.
The product also contains emulsifiers, stabilizers, one of which can help combat fungal acne, and three different oils. Squalane penetrates into the skin, and doesn’t leave heavy residue, which may make someone believe it was not providing moisture.
Many moisturizing products I find tend to leave a heavy film that seems like it would be moisturizing my skin, but is actually just a thick layer that isn’t providing benefit beyond serving as an emollient.
Products like this one should be used under more emollient moisturizers, but still provide important care to deeper levels of the skin that are not provided by heavier products. It is frustrating to see people who don’t seem knowledgable about skincare ingredients commenting on well-researched, safe and effective products.
It sounds like someone calling a bottle of water “drying. ” For people with acne, the oil content may lead to breakouts. I find that applying this after a BHA or niacinamide step aids in avoiding breakouts.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner is a pH-balances soothing toner that gently removes surface debris and remaining residue while hydrating, comforting skin, and refining skin texture. Key Ingredients: – Apricot Kernel Oil moisturizes and softens skin while helping retain clarity and suppleness – Avocado Oil moisturizes, nourishes, and visibly softens skin – Squalane adds weightless hydration and locks in moisture, restores the proper balance of natural oils in the skin – Glycerin replenishes and restores the skin by drawing and locking in moisture This has a creamy milk-like texture that is white in color.
It is lightweight and absorbs nicely into the skin. Once it has absorbed there is no stickiness left behind nor does it leave my skin feeling greasy. I love how calming and soothing this toner is. Always feels comforting when using.
I always bust this out when my skin is feeling dry or is irritated. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed, soothed, soft, and smooth after each use. I would recommend for those who have combination and dry skin, but would avoid this toner if you have oily skin.
PROS: ✅ Free of alcohol ✅ Gentle. Doesn’t irritate my skin ✅ Lightweight and Absorbs well ✅ Hydrates my skin ✅ Soothes and Calms skin ✅ Doesn’t leave skin feeling sticky or greasy ✅ Skin is softer and smoother after continuous use CONS: ❌ Not a fan of the scent.
I am IN LOVE with this milky toner!! My face is so sensitive to products & I was nervous about trying this. In just 3 days I could see a difference! The scent is light & my skin feels so moisturized when I use it! I don’t use a cotton pad.
Instead, after cleansing my face I pour a dime sized amount into the palm of my hand & spead it all over my face. It doesn’t irritate ANYTHING. Not even the eye area! 2 months ago I decided to add the Ultra Cleanser & Moisturizer.
I’m not kidding when I say people have asked me if I’ve had resurfacing done. My fine lines have diminished SO much & my skin glows! I will never use another brand again. This is THE holy grail!.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Toner is a clarifying facial care product that not only cleanses the skin, but also soothes and moisturises it. Kiehl’s – the skin care manufacturer – has developed this facial toner for normal to oily skin.
The toner gently removes dirt, residues of cleaning and care products, as well as grease from the skin without drying it out or straining it. At the same time it reduces excess oils on the skin’s surface.
Enriched with antarcticine and an extract of silver spikegrass, the toner soothes and hydrates the skin. The alcohol-free formulation also prevents the skin from drying out. The perfect way to finishing cleansing the skinKiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Toner is used after cleaning.
Soak a cotton wool pad with the facial toner and spread it over the skin, avoiding the eye and mouth area. Afterwards, you can apply your usual day or night care product. The clarifying facial care from the Ultra Facial Oil-Free product range does not contain parabens, oils, dyes or fragrances.
It has a neutral pH value and has been tested for compatibility.
I have combination skin (oily in my t zone and chin area and dry cheeks and forehead) and it is very sensitive and acne prone, especially in my chin area. I used to use the Mario Badesco Rose mist as a toner along with the acne face wash and the A.
H. A. Ceramide moisturizer by Mario Badesco. It wasn’t doing anything for my acne, wasn’t making it better or worse, so I decided to switch to a Kiehl’s regimen. This toner doesn’t dry my skin out after cleansing and after I’m done, there’s always particulates on the cotton pad.
It makes me feel like it’s doing something. I love that it’s oil free, as I am already oily enough. I have noticed that my skin seems more even and doesn’t get as oily throughout the day. You get a good amount for the price and I’ve been using it for 3 weeks and it seems like I haven’t made a dent in it, there’s still plenty of product in there.
The only downside is that it arrived to me broken, the little hinged cap on the top was broken off and a bit of it was broken off. Luckily, it’s still usable, the part that clicks in to the spout was still intact.
Overall, I’m enjoying this toner, skin feels soft and clean after using it.
I have combination skin, leaning towards more oily in the summer. Toners are all made for different reasons, this one specifically is made for hydration and helping other products you put on settle deeper into the skin.
This is not ment to help with acne. I first double cleanse (cerva Fw and cerva micellar water), then I use this toner, serum, this toner, moisturizer. I keep to a simple routine. If I’m more oily, before I put this toner on, I will use a toner that cleanses oily skin and then use this toner after.
A lot of issues stem from having not enough moister or too much moisture. This product ingredient list is great and shouldn’t cause irritation. I felt no kind of tingling or irritation for the month I’ve been using it.
If anyone is skeptical about buying this, please read this!!!! I never realized the importance of a toner until I tried this. I had used toners before, but none of them worked. so I never used them regularly.
I bought this along with the Turmeric & cranberry seed mask, and rare earth mask, and use this once in the morning and once at night after masks. I had terrrrrrribly out, acne prone, acne scarred, enlarged pore skin.
only two weeks ago. After two weeks of use of this along with the masks, my skin really has never been in better condition. I normally don’t glorify skin products but this was extremely impressive. And for the price and how impressive it is, it is a GREAT size and value.
I was very impressed how it kept the oil down during my 8-5 job and seems to be preventing acne as well. My acne flares up verrrrry badly during my time of the month, and I haven’t seen any crazy blemishes at all after use of this.
I had VERY stubborn Whitehead’s and blackheads on my forehead and cheeks that no amount of product helped, and after using this in conjunction with the masks, I have never felt better about my skin. It looks amazing and I would highly recommend this to anyone with oily skin!!!!! A must have.
It’s okay, but there’s so may companies that have basically the same product for less and more scents. I preferred it when lush had these is solid tablet forms along with a rose tab one. At least with the solid tabs it was less plastic waste and great for air flight travel due to the 311 no liquids rule.
I used to take a empty mini spray bottle and leave 1/2 a tab of the tea tree and 1/2 tab of the rose to make a tea tree rose toner combo and add filtered water & a tea tree tab in a mini bottle for my husband once we landed.
I also used the tablets at home too with cucumber witch hazel and aloe. I always wished they made more tablet scents like orange blossom, cucumber lavender, and patchouli neroli so one could mix and match to combo for their own skin.
Fingers crossed the tablets come back as travel is starting to open up again. As for the current sprays- we stopped buying them and went with burts bees acne for my husband and evanhealy rose geranium for me.
I now have owned all three of the Lush face toners, and tea tree water is a good one too. I think it’s great for anyone and any skin type, but specially oily skin folks. I believe the tea tree might help eczema on the face too, and any type of redness or irritation.
I believe the ingredients are calm enough to not cause a huge disruption. I have psoriasis on my scalp, so tea tree oil is nothing new to me, an I actually don’t mind the smell at all. I like earthy scents though lol.
The spray that comes out is more faster an harder than Eau de Roma and Breath of fresh air, and I will say that. If you prefer a finer mist, go for Eau De Roma. Tea tree water and breath of fresh air have more of a harder spray, which I don’t mind either, just a suggestion to anyone questioning how the toners mist differently.
I also NEVER remove ANY of the toners I apply. I don’t use cotton balls or none of that jazz. I spray, an let it stay baby. I then take my clean hands an pat the toners up my neck an all over my face, an tap under my eyes.
My skin is in excellent condition for a 31 year old. I’ve always taken care of my skin in the first place, so thank goodness I started a regimen in my early 20’s because it’s now paying off looking 5 years younger than what I am.
Bottom line, is tea tree water is a great toner for oily skin types, or any skin type. I believe it would calm acne too. Don’t remove it with a cotton ball though. Let the spray stay. It’s healthier for your skin to let it soak up as much of it as it can.
I have always have pretty oily skin. I was turned on to this toner about 5 years ago and it has always helped. I certainly notice a difference in my skin when I use it frequently vs. when I stop using it.
My skin is also fairly sensitive and this product never irritates it. I know tea tree and grapefruit extracts can both be harsh on some skin types so I do recommend doing a skin test first. There is a noticeable change in how oily my skin is with this and I absolutely love how much control it offers, plus how lightweight it is.
Absorb excess oil and remove impurities in acne-prone skin by using Murad Clarifying Toner. The skin balancing, oily skin toner cleanses and reinvigorates the skin. Use the facial skin toner to control exterior shine and maintain clear pores without irritation.
The Witch Hazel found in the formula cleanses and tightens the pores without drying out the skin. Meanwhile, Algae Extract soaks up excess oil while Allantoin soothes the skin. Use Murad Clarifying Toner at any point during your day to re-energize skin and lessen oil and shine.
Murad Clarifying Toner Benefits: Restricts excess oil or shine. Purifies and tightens pores. Protects from free radical damage. Soothes redness and irritation. Directions: Use daily after cleansing skin.
Apply a small amount of the oily skin toner to cotton pad and gently wipe over face and neck.
Overall, I really enjoy this product. I do wish it was a spray format so that I did not have to stock up on ‘waste’ cotton rounds– however, the consistency is right on point with every other toner out there.
This one features skin-loving ingredients that are perfect for people with acne or who struggle with oil. I have switched to a more tolerable toner for my skin (The ) as I find that this one delivers the ingredients my skin needs.
The Clarifying formula is intense in the sense that if you aren’t a regular acne sufferer, this probably is a bit too harsh for your skin. I did notice that over time my skin dried out and that I was needing to add more moisture to make up for the fact.
I, however, have combination skin and only mild tendencies towards breaking out. This product wasn’t designed for me, and that’s okay! If you are an acne sufferer then this is what you want, I definitely recommend on those pimply days!.
I’m obsessed. I kept my eyes peeled for a toner for the last few weeks. I didn’t think it was really a necessity for my skin and boy was I wrong. This stuff is a GAME CHANGER! My skin is normal not oily but not sensitive, I’m almost 30 and really wanted to start taking care of my skin.
Mind you, I never leave reviews, so this should let you know how much I love this product! The cooling sensation was beyond amazing and so refreshing. My skin is so soft after using it and when I apply my skincare after applying this, my face continues to hold onto that cool sensation! I removed so much extra dirt I didn’t think was still ok my skin with this as well as my pimples already clearing up after one day of morning and night use.
It’s perfect! So happy with my first Murad purchase! 10 stars, recommend!!.
I honestly like this toner a lot and have been using it constantly. I will state that the four stars is due to the sting I feel when apply. If you have sensitive skin, it may feel a bit stinging and if it irritates you for the next day.
Obviously if it hurts, just return it, but I gave this treatment a week to see the progress. At first, I stated that I feel the sting but then it get cooling and refreshing. It has not scent, which is great and I then I feel the toner targeting my acne areas.
The next day, my acne has shrunk a bit and I knew it was working. I’ve used it twice a day and results have been better. The toner is fantastic through out time and my face is progressively healing right now.
I recommend this toner for ace prone skin and people that are starting to develop acne because of mask wearing. Give it at least a week to see if it improves.
Lightweight toner restores moisture and the pH level of skin after cleansing. Plant extracts and a combination of hyaluronic acid and beta-glucan keep skin calm, hydrated and soothed. For normal, dry, combination and sensitive skin types.
Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner removes excess dirt and sebum while restoring skin’s pH balance, prepping your skin to absorb the next step in your skincare regimen. Key Ingredients: – Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract – Licorice Root Extract plant extract with antioxidant properties that improves the look of uneven skin tone – Centella Asiatica Extract plant extract with powerful soothing properties that calms irritation and breakouts – Beta Glucan soothes irritation and redness This toner has a viscous consistency than other toners I’ve used.
It’s lightweight on the skin, so you can layer if needed, and absorbs quickly without leaving a tacky feeling behind. It has a slight herbal scent to it but don’t find it to be irritating. This toner caused no irritation or breakouts for me but it does contain citrus and lavender oils so patch test prior to using.
Some toners leave my skin feeling slightly dry, so I was excited to find that this toner is quite hydrating. My skin is visibly more plump and smooth after continuous use. I also found this to be soothing and it helped calm my skin when it’s irritated or stressed.
Has even reduced some mild redness along cheeks. I would recommend for all skin types but sensitive skin (try the unscented version). PROS: ✅ Doesn’t irritate skin or cause me breakouts ✅ Lightweight on skin and absorbs quickly ✅ Hydrating.
Doesn’t leave skin feeling dry ✅ Helps to calm irritated and stressed skin ✅ Skin is visibly more plump and brighter ✅ Helps to reduce redness ✅ pH Balance ✅ Absorbs excess sebum CONS: ❌ Contains citrus oil ❌ Contains lavender oil.
Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner What is it? It is a non-irritating toner to add for an instant burst of hydration, the Klairs Supple Preparation Toner works well for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
Unlike regular toners with Hyaluronic Acid and Beta Glucan only, it has an elastic formula that helps with higher moisture retention by over 20%. My experience: The texture of this is slightly more tacky than water but still viscous enough to be absorbed easily.
I fell in love. This toner is mild, non-irritating, does not break me out. It is so mild that when it gets into my eye area, it doesn’t not sting my tear ducts. In fact, I think a little entered my eyes just now when I used it, but I didn’t feel anything.
So given how mild it is, this doesn’t do anything to cure acne, FYI so don’t be counting on that. It’s fragrance free as well. This also doesn’t minimise your pores. What this does really well is make your skin feel relieved and well moisturised after cleansing.
I like to use it by patting it on my face with hands, also I mostly use it in my night time routine. I really like the moisturizing and soothing effect and it didn’t give me breakouts. The formula isn’t sticky and absorbs nicely.
Leaving the skin feeling quite refreshed. It does seem like it can calm my skin a bit, which is nice. #dearklairs #koreanskincare.
Toners always help with the extra boost my skin needs. This toner has hyaluronic acid, lipidure, and beta glucan. Hyaluronic acid is one of my favorite go-to ingredients for hydration. This toner does not fail and does a good job of hydrating my skin.
Recently, I tried a cleanser that dried out my skin (will be doing a review of it, keep an eye out!) and I used this a lot to get my skin hydrated afterwards. The toner is also super gentle and my skin absorbs it very fast.
It does feel sticky afterwards (yay!). The texture is thicker than I expected and not too watery or runny. It’s super easy to work with in my opinion. So this will probably sound a little strange, but it almost smells like aftershave to me.
I actually like the smell of aftershave and this toner but it is a little strong. The company has an unscented version of this toner. For anyone who is sensitive to smell, I would recommend trying the unscented version.
If you are indifferent to smell and/or like the smell of aftershave, this toner is definitely a good one to try!.
Purify your blemish-prone, troublesome skin with La Roche-Posay Serozinc from Landys Chemist, a toning mist enriched with zinc sulphate. Serozinc is created with just three ingredients: La Roche-Posay’s ultra-soothing thermal spring water, healing zinc sulphate (0.
10%) and astringent sodium chloride (0. 75%). Together, these three ingredients target blemishes, marks and excess oiliness, ensuring your complexion feels fresh and comfortable at any time of day. The versatile formula is perfect for use as a toner between cleansing and moisturising, or it can be used at any time of day to refresh and treat your skin.
It’s a simple and effective solution to help mattify oily skin, prevent excess shine and tighten the appearance of pores every day. After cleansing, close your eyes and mist onto skin. Leave to absorb, and gently pat away the excess.
Follow with an oil-free, non-comedogenic moisturiser such as Effaclar Duo +. Hypoallergenic, non-perfumed, suitable for acne-prone skin.
I got the La Roche Posay Serozincist as soon as my dermatologist recommended it to me. It promises to control the oiliness and shrink enlarged pores. Being zinc the star ingredient here, I knew it would be good a good product for me.
In terms of controlling the oiliness, it did a pretty decent job but there’s no miracle. I feel it kinda withheld the shine for a while but it had to be reapplied during the day. I didn’t see much difference on my pores, to be honest.
But the best use for this mist I found to be after having my make-up done. Just a generous spray on my face and it would keep a mattified look for longer (I didn’t need to reapply layers of powder to get rid of the shine) and make my foundation and concealer last way longer than without it.
It was a great product to have at hand during hot days.
I absolutely love La Roche Posay Serozinc Face Mist. I love this product so much that I order it directly from the company’s website, as it is a product that I haven’t seen sold in stores in the United States.
It is a wonderful mattifying face-mist that I discovered while doing some research online this summer and seemed like the perfect thing to put on my face before different brands were coming out with facial spray solutions for “Maskne” due to having to wear face masks all of the time for Covid-19.
This product, while sometimes marketed as a toner, doesn’t feel like a toner at all to me. It feels more like a great pore-sealer; though I can understand why some would call it a toner only because it does sometimes feel like a pore soother if I have gone too far with an acid peel, or if I have neglected to properly cover my face with sunscreen (which we all know I need to do, due to my use of AHA and BHA to combat my acne).
Anyway, this spray is tops – it lasts a while, it is a great price – and also, I’ve sprayed my scalp with it when it has been irritated from sunburn or seborrhea. This product is great! I wish they sold it in stores too!!.
This product WORKS! My skin has been so oily and pores clogged from being pregnant. I searched for safe solutions and found this product. At first, I tried to use it as a finishing spray and it was a little too irritating for me.
So instead, I started spraying this on a cotton pad mixed with my pure salicylic toner. Weirdly it works! No sensitivity and my pores are tight and oil reduced. My breakouts are clearing! I highly recommend La Roche Posay products they are all of quality and fantastic.
Differin Pore-Minimizing Toner with Witch Hazel is an ideal addition to any daily skincare routine, and suitable for all skin types even dry skin. Its alcohol-free gentle formula was designed by dermatologists to soothe and condition skin with Vitamin B, Rosehip Extract, Chamomile and Aloe, as Witch Hazel works to remove excess oils on skins surface, as well as pore-clogging impurities to reduce the appearance of pores.
Differin recommends using Differin Pore-Minimizing Toner immediately after your regular cleanser, and/or as a preparation step prior to applying Differin Adapalene Gel 0. 1%. This product is gentle enough for daily use, AM and PM, and is also paraben-free, noncomedogenic (wont clog pores) and dermatologist tested.
I typically stay away from toners because I’m used to them stinging and not really having a major affect on my skin. I’ve been off birth control a few months and ever since my skin has been breaking out like crazy.
I just want to say I’ve only used this toner for 2 nights. I’m not reviewing how well the product works, if it minimizes pores, etc etc. i just want to brag on how SOOTHING this product is. No sting what so ever.
It feels so good to put on your face. I can’t even describe it. Not to be gross but I’ve applied it to bleeding zits I just popped and NO STING, it just feels good on your skin. With a light powder type scent.
I will come back for another review once I’ve used it long enough to comment on the other details. I love it already.
I’m really baffled. I turn 30 next month and my once clear and even skin had really become extra sensitive to just about everything, from retinol to hyaluronic acid, it just appeared I would have either enflamed or dried skin slowly wrinkling and discoloring for life.
I use the differin adapalene gel, which has helped my acne and my wrinkles miraculously, but my skin is so so sensitive to it. I bought this toner because I was finally at my wits end and seeking anything that could gently calm my skin, I found this while also grabbing my gel and omg.
I am not joking when I say it delivers what it promises and then some. My red and dried cracking skin was instantly soothed by this, when any lotion (with parfum or not) would exacerbate it, eliminating moisturizing at all.
I cannot believe how well this skin care routine is working for me, touching on skin problems not even bc could touch. I highly recommend this toner, it will not hurt your sensitive skin! I am not sure what magic Differin is casting on it’s products, but it’s powerful!.
I have been using this product for the last week with the knock off differin gel from cvs and I must say I am really enjoying it. I wasn’t sure if I would. I thought it might be too much but it’s really nice and has a pleasant scent.
It’s not too strongly scented and doesn’t feel like you’re putting something medicated on your face. It has been working nicely at clearing up my bumpy acne I absolutely hate on my face. I have all of these small bumps all over my face and using the active ingredient in differin seems to be the only thing that helps with this problem.
The only thing is you have to be consistent or the bumps will come right back. Overall a great product! I recommend.
Restore dry, aging, oily and sensitive skin with a drop of this deeply hydrating facial toner. Light, silky-smooth texture almost feels like nothing as the formula will be absorbed into skin in seconds.

After cleansing, apply an appropriate amount onto a cotton pad or hands and swipe or gently tap in until full absorption.
A moisture-bomb toner contains 3 different types of hyaluronic acid that fills up your dry and tired skin with moisture. Light texture toner which is absorbed into the skin quickly. Supplies fresh moisture to dried skin and maintains skin to be moist for a long time.
This is the only toner that my face likes, lol. I’ve been using this twice a day for 2 weeks now, and It made my skin very hydrating and glowing. The texture is viscous and the consistency is not thick nor oily.
This has helped me a lot and in the morning my skin feels so soft, plumped and nourished. The ingredients of this toner is really suitable for my skin and it didn’t irritate my skin nor gave me any allergic reaction.
I have a very sensitive skin so it’s hard for me to find toners that my skin will love and that will provide the effects that I want.
A facial toner for oily skin can be a great way to help control shine and oil production. When choosing a facial toner, look for one that is alcohol-free and oil-free. These products will help to control shine and oil production without drying out your skin.
