20 Best Face Cream For Dry Skin During Pregnancy (2023 Updated)

I purchased this product for my mom for Christmas. Previously, she was using whatever unethical, unsustainable beauty products she could find at the local store. In an attempt to cut back on her plastic waste, I decided to give this moisturizer a try.

I was apprehensive because I know how picky she can be; especially when it comes to “natural” products. I didn’t tell her anything about the company, and did not tell her that the products are made from food waste, as she is not very open-minded and I knew it would have turned her off immediately.

Anyways…here we are a month later, and she has since purchased several other items on her own, and is currently placing another order. It is so rewarding to see someone who is not as passionate about sustainability as you are, finally following in your footsteps by leaving less of a footstep on the planet.

I’m so glad I found this company, and have significantly lessened the amount of plastic waste in our home!.

I’ve tried every product in Averr Aglow’s acne line (except for the makeup remover) and I’ve had really great, consistent results across the board (minus the body polish) but if I had to select my favorite, it would be this nourishment cream.

It’s hands down the best facial moisturizing product I’ve ever used. I absolutely love the consistency and richness of it, the ingredients are very gentle on my sensative skin, it smells great, and while it’s a little pricey for a small jar, it does last a long time.

I used to purchase the hydration dew spray and use it as recommended in conjunction with the nourishment cream but the last bottle of “dew” I purchased smelled super weird (granted, that was April of 2021 and may no longer be the case) so I started getting a bottle of pure rose water spray from Amazon instead and that’s been working out beautifully for several months now.

It saves me a good chunk of change, too because the spray is definitely the quickest to be used up. As it may already be apparent, I would highly recommend this cream to anybody I know. It’s certainly a keeper in my book.

I love this moisturizer!! You hear so much about hyaluronic acid, but you can actually see and feel this product making a different to your skin. This has been a holy grail product for me over this past winter.

I have used it morning and night at my vacation home in the mountains (dry air) and have not had any dry or flakey patches over the winter. I still am prone to occasional breakouts but have not noted any breakouts or greasy skin with this moisturizer.

It makes my skin very balanced. Also, look at the ingredients. aloe leaf juice, cocoa seed butter, shea butter, multiple oils. It’s so refreshing to recognize almost all of the ingredient in a product and be able to understand how they’ll benefit your skin.

Highly recommend!! I’ll be buying more soon ;).

Daydreamer is the first Eight Saints product I tried. I was so impressed with how silky and fresh and clean it feels and smells. I love how my skin feels when I apply this wonderful moisturizer. I have gone on to try most of Eight Saints skincare and I couldn’t be happier with the results! I have waited to review their products to give myself time to experience them.

Having used them for months I have to say I don’t ever want to be without them. The products are free of harsh chemicals and natural which is what I was looking for and they all perform better than any I’ve used.

Their customer service is wonderful as well. I couldn’t be more impressed with this company. I’m so glad I found them and I won’t be without their skincare if I can help it.

I have had such a hard time finding a moisturizer that will make my skin feel hydrated but not cause my eyeglasses to become greasy and spotted during the day. I absolutely love Daydreamer moisturizer! The hyaluronic acid makes my dry skin feel moist and fresh all day.

The experience of putting on the lotion with its wonderful light feel and smell is a relaxing way to start my day! The lotion does not transfer to my eyeglasses because there is no greasiness that I have found with almost every other type of day moisturizer.

This is a perfect lightweight moisturizer that I’ve been able to incorporate into my daily skincare regimen. After trying many different brands of products, I’ve settled on using just the Huron face wash and moisturizer day and night and my results have been fantastic.

What’s best of all is that I’ve simplified my routine so that I only have three products (the third is sunblock) that I have to keep around. This moisturizer absorbs well and has a pleasant smell, not strong and definitely not florally, which is something I encounter with a lot of other brands.

Plus, Huron has increased the size of the moisturizer bottle and that’s made this an even better deal.

I love the face lotion from Huron. I’ve purchased it multiple times. It’s a nice gel like texture and absorbs into the skin really nicely. Also adds a nice cooling effect that wakes you up a little bit.

Prevents dry skin really well a d like everything Huron makes, smells amazing. Highly recommend. Only critiques are that it comes in too small of a tube and the flip cap gets a little stuck sometimes, but besides that, wonderful product!.

I didn’t like it! It was way too drying for my skin! It’s been a few weeks since I stopped using it and my skin is finally starting to heal. I have acne prone skin, a little dry and sensitive. I’ve been using the Bioclear cream in the evening for the past 4 months and LOVE it!!! I used to get occasional breakouts and I haven’t had this problem since! Most recently I started using the c-esta cleanser, Skin Zyme, clear zyme and the transformation cream.

My skin did not react well to it at all!! I’m not sure what product did it or If it was a combination of all 4. At some point I plan on trying these products one at a time, maybe that will make a difference!.

I’ve used Marini’s Skin Care Management system for dry/very dry skin for over 2 years now. My skin is in really good condition for my age due to these Jan Marini products. I actually ordered this one by mistake when I meant to purchase the Age Intervention Face Cream.

Regardless, I started using the Transformation Face Cream on arrival and my skin started breaking out which is odd for my age at 57 and I never get blemishes. So, I quickly reordered the usual cream.

Once received, my skin went back to normal. I am only using the Transformation cream on my neck and top of my hands at night at this point and it’s doing well. It is highly moisturizing like the Age Intervention but doesn’t sink in the skin, leaving a greasier residue.

Not sure what ingredient caused my breakouts as I also have used Marini’s Peptide and Retinol booster serums with great success. All in all, the product is much better than average. Depending on your skin’s needs and type, this might be perfect for you so give it a try!.

This face cream really does transform your face. I received a sample of the Bioglycolic cleanser and the Transformation cream at my local Massage Envy. After one use I noticed a difference. My skin needed some TLC after being diagnosed with Leukemia (AML) and undergoing 6 months of IV Chemo and 1 year of Chemo pills.

My skin has never looked better in my entire life. I have only been using the Bioglycolic Cleaner, C-Esta, the Transformation Cream, and the tinted sunscreen for 3 weeks!! I am no longer wearing foundation.

I can’t wait to try the whole system next time.

I was basically cornered in the section of my previous face wash/moisturizer area at Ulta one day and was annoyed the employee was trying to convince me to try something new. But I’m glad she did. I typically have the most oily skin and by midday I’m a mess and feel gross.

I use the super calm milk cleanser then use this moisturizer and LOVE it. I’m so glad I was encouraged to try it. As I noted in my review of the milk cleanser, I’ve noticed a decrease in the redness in my skin that generally shows up.

My face has been a lot smoother and overall feels literally more calm. I’m a new Tula fan and have been using the products for over two months now and I’m impressed. A tad spendy but honestly a good investment.

This was one of my first TULA products. Of the few things I tried, this was my least favorite. It feels AMAZING going on, but I feel like my skin is super tight or dry after it soaks in for a minute.

Could also be January in IL. Will try a different moisturizer for winter and will save this for summer when lightweight is more desirable. I do LOVEEEE the cult cleanser and the rose glow eye stick I bought.

I was just recently diagnosed with rosacea. Wait. it gets worse. In February I experienced a papulopustular “breakout”. It was AWFUL! My face was pimply, bumpy, red, and sore. It was embarrassing. I never experienced rosacea, let alone this kind of “acne” before now.

Menopause. Ugh!!! I tried multiple topical prescription creams and meds, then I tried a more natural approach. And then, after much reading and research, I happened upon an ad for Avene on Pinterest.

With trepidation I looked through the skin care products and completed the skin analysis to find my regimen, then placed my order. I’ve been using these products now for a few weeks with surprisingly positive results.

Just to be sure I was on the right skin-care track, I took these products with me to my Dermatologist appointment last week. Not only did she give my Avene products her stamp of approval, but she enthusiastically endorsed them as well! She said she used to use them too!.

*I would like to start out by saying that this is a chemical sunscreen containing avobenzone, so please do your research when it comes to products containing this ingredient. Avobenzone on its own breaks down under UV light in 30 minutes, so additional stabilizers are needed to make it last longer and these can cause acne or other skin sensitivities.

I personally do not use chemical sunscreens as my skin is very sensitive and they always irritate me. I only use physical sunscreens. I gave this product to my 58 year old aunt to try and this is her review.

* I liked the jar this day cream came in. It’s red, easy to open and there is actually a tab that you can lift in order to remove the container that holds the cream, right out of the jar. Not 100% sure what the purpose of doing that would be but I’ve not noticed that feature on other jars from competitors, so thought it was worth mentioning.

The first thing I noticed upon opening the jar was the light and pleasant fragrance. Not too strong or “perfumie” but enough to notice it and enjoy it. It doesn’t last during the day so if someone is sensitive to the smell, I don’t think this would be a problem.

The cream is lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy feeling. Having oily skin (in the T-zone) I don’t enjoy using serums, oils or greasy feeling products. This product had none of that.

I’ve been using the product daily for about 10 days – on my face and neck. Happy to see it contains SPF 20 Sunscreen! My skin definitely feels smoother after applying. In terms of the Hyaluronic Acid and that working to “plump up” the lines (mainly on my neck), I wasn’t blown away by the results.

Didn’t notice much of a difference. This product is a good moisturizer so if that is the main goal (perhaps during the winter months when skin is often drier) then this would be a good product to use.

I would purchase this product but again, only as a moisturizer, not to diminish lines around my eyes or neck.

First impressions for this product were that the packaging is quite hefty and rather unique. Definitely not the type of product I would typically go for but after testing it out for a few days now I have some opinions to share.

This cream is really rich and thick in the jar. They are kind enough to supply a tiny plastic spatula to decant the product. My first impression after applying it to my skin is that it definitely has a strong and lingering scent.

The smell is powdery and reminds me of a mashup between sunscreen and grandma. I’m not a fan of the scent; some may loathe it and others might enjoy it. Application was smooth for a sunscreen. It doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin.

Goes on a bit dewy but eventually fades becomes almost matte within minutes. Skin feels a little more bouncy and plump after application. However my skin does feel a little itchy and look blotchier with some redness after applying this product so some ingredients are not getting along with my sensitive skin.

That is the main reason I am giving this product 3 stars. I think this formula is just too complex and harsh for my reactive skin type. Others have said this is a good base underneath makeup and if you are a diehard chemical SPF wearer this might be a really good product to add into your routine.

One thing I do love is that the inner pan is removable and refillable so that contributes to a little less plastic waste over time if you choose to buy the inner refills and not an entirely new jar. I think more brands need to offer that option going forward so I was happy to see that.

Overall I am delighted to have had the opportunity to try out this product and give an honest review. This would be a hit for some but it’s a miss for me.

First, off I have to disclose that I love Shiseido products and find they work wonders for my sensitive skin! I have been avidly using their beneficence eye cream, beneficence smoothing cream, and their White Lucent Brightening gel for years and swear by their results.

As someone who is obsessed with skincare products and keeping a stringent skincare routine, I was absolutely ecstatic when I received Shiseido’s new Essential Energy Hydrating Day Cream with Broad Spectrum SPF 20! The Essential Energy Hydrating Day Cream is packed with wonderful ingredients that help protect your skin while minimizing the look of pores.

The hyaluronic acid in this day cream, has done wonders to help my skin feel moisturized during this cold winter. Also, I am finding that the ginseng root extract has really helped calm the rosacea on my cheeks instead of inflaming them.

Lastly, I love the fact that this cream offers your skin sun protection. It absorbs so beautifully into your skin unlike a lot of other facial sunscreen brands that leave a strange white film on your face and have harsh smells.

The product packaging is luxurious and it comes in the classic Shiseido packaging container with red ombré color variations, with a little spatula to ease product application. This will definitely be a new staple in my skincare routine, and would certainly recommend this product!.

The Calendula Essential Hydrating Cream claims to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin. This cream contains calendula extract. Calendula extract is known to be anti- inflammatory and soothe the skin. Personally, I have normally to dry skin.

I experience the most dryness during the winter. So, I wanted to test the claims. From the bottle’s outside appearance, it looks luxurious. Upon opening the product, I did notice a slight scent. It isn’t overbearing, but there is a slight scent.

On the inside of the bottle, the cream looked like a thick moisturizer, which I loved. It immediately sunk into my skin, and I felt hydrated and moisturized. All in all, I would recommend this product, Calendula Essential Hydrating Cream by Naturopathica, to my family and friends.

I would also recommend this product for people with normal to dry skin.

I am not one to use many products at all but I use this one. I put it on after washing my face in the morning and at night. My skin feels smoother and refreshed. It has a nice scent without being overwhelming.

The cream is thick without being paste and does not leave an oil feeling. I do not have problem skin but was simply looking for a face cream I can feel comfortable using as a build my daily skin care as I get older (current age 36.

) Fairly priced for a good product. Does not require massive amounts so lasts awhile even with the small container. Definitely recommend.

Clarins has changed this cream over time. When I first bought it, mid90s, it had a pleasant fragrance and was far more emollient. Loved it Late 90s or so, they changed the scent added some astringent ingredient that made it feel tingly but decreased the emollient properties.

At that point, I stopped using it regularly because the results just werent there. Out of curiosity, I purchased it again recently after trying a dab at Macys. The current formula has a fragrance similar to the original and does soften my skin, but has a greasy sheen that sits on the surface for quite awhile before absorbing.

reminds me of the old Ponds cream my mom used to use years ago. actually have to wipe my hands a bit after applying or it puts fingerprints on everything I touch Earlier opinion is confirmed I wont be purchasing this again regularly.

Imo, a natural product like Avalons firming cream is effective, less expensive and non greasy.

I have used this product in the past and found it did not suit my sensitive skin so I would not have bought it again. However I was asked to test this new formula and I have done so but been unable to detect any improvement.

Admittedly the emphasis now seems to be on its agespot correcting properties which, as I dont have any agespots yet, I was unable to assess. I personally do not like the smell of this product very much although it would not prevent me from using it if I felt it did indeed replenish, lift and illuminate my skin as claimed.

I may even be prepared to pay the high price. Unfortunately I have seen no difference in my skin other than a very slight adverse reaction to the cream as in the past. On the plus side the cream is a nice consistency, is pleasant to apply and absorbs well into the skin but there are many other creams on the market which do that and, in my opinion, produce better results, are more reasonably priced and smell much nicer.

Did this work as a primer Absolutely My makeup looked really great and lasted perfectly the 8 hours until I washed my face. I didnt need blush or concealer even. Just curled my lashes and had a very light foundation on Dior Nude and I looked and felt really good.

Even my husband noticed. Lisa Eldridge says you shouldnt use this every day because your skin might acclimate to its effects Im not sure if theres any basis to that.

I love this moisturizer. it’s a very good and sticky texture, almost like snail mucin. a little bit goes a long way which I like because it is a pretty small tub (imo). I have sensitive, acne prone skin that leans dry but now that it’s suer my skin is more on the normal side.

this does a really good job of hydrating my skin without feeling heavy. I was worried that my skin would get dry throughout the day because it’s not that occlusive and more hydrating than it is moisturizing, but I was very surprised to see that it kept my skin hydrated all day! I think it might be too light for those dry winter months, but now that it’s warmer this is perfect for me.

Wow, buying a case of this stuff! Better than retinol and WAY less harsh. I layer this at night with the Pacifica Collagen Serum and the results are amazing. After about a week of doing this, I woke up in the middle of the night to find that almost all my fine lines around my 43 year old mouth and eyes GONE! I was shocked at the soft plumpness and dewiness of my skin.

This cream will also make you glow and calms your skin. I’m not sure if this effect is temporary while wearing the product after only a few hours, but earlier in the week, I did notice my lines seemed faded and softer, my skin is softer and more radiant.

I had been using a low “beginner” level retinol for a few months now and never saw results like this. The scent is powerful as others have mentioned, but dissipates quickly. One other drawback might be the heavy weight and greasiness of the product – it doesn’t quite absorb into the skin right away and takes a few hours to really soak in and do it’s magic.

I could see how this might not be the best “moisturizer” if you struggle with dry and sensitive winter skin. As a person with occasional eczema and flakiness when I don’t take care of my face, I have to be careful with scented products that “sit” on the skin, but this does not irritate at all and feels quite luxurious after a few hours and definitely in the mornings.

Wish this was also available as a body lotion in a larger size to prevent crepey aging body skin, but I may just try this cream on trouble areas and see how it goes!.

Pros: plant-based; relatively light scent; apply a small amount; lasts at least a day; moisturizes rather well; helped my complexion; helped relieve eczema; does provide ‘dreamy, youthful’ results. Cons: left a bit of pinkness on forehead, though negligible; still needed booster & serum for winter eczema; a bit pricey, but reasonable.

Went into a local shop for an immediately available moisturizer after suffering days of winter eczema. This product was recommended by employee, who claimed it felt “luxurious” (which I thought was complete hyperbole).

Even though i was looking for an inexpensive hydrating moisturizer, not any kind of age-defying wonder, and this plant-based peptide cream was a little more than i had hoped to spend, it somehow seemed like a good idea at the moment, so we bought this one.

It does actually feel luxurious going on. Only a small amount is needed to cover the whole face and neck, and just a bit more for decollete. (Tip: Feel free to use a clean cotton swab to remove just the right amount of product from the jar for use — this keeps the product cleaner than reaching in with fingers, and may help use less and waste less under fingernails).

Despite a bit of negligible pinkness on my forehead, this plant-based peptide cream did not cause any feelings of irritation, and actually helped moisturize away the spots of eczema. The effects last at least a day.

(Especially in winter, with the eczema, i may need to skip washing my face on occasion). This cream seemed to soften, and improve complexion, with an overall effect that may actually very well be best described as ‘dreamy’ and ‘youthful’.

Signs of aging were not really a concern; even so, I look even younger than i already did, using this cream. After finishing a jar, and starting on a second, I’m rather pleased with this product. Still experiencing winter weather, i haven’t dared try the cream without my boosters and serum; apologies for that, i can’t say whether or not this product would be as wonderfully moisturising on its own.

(For comparison, however, i can say that the Ceramide cream ironically did not work as well for me, leaving patches of dryness, flaking, redness, and irritation). Overall, great product. I hope Pacifica continues making.

It also reduces fine lines. All Susanne Kaufmann’s products combine plants and botanicals and I recommend this night cream highly to all my friends.

I have used this cream several years ago. I bought the cream in Berlin when it was still considered to be niche product that could be only bought concept stores. I was impressed with the result. I personally have never used a better facial moisturiser.

It has a gentle scent, light texture that leaves the skin hydrated and silky smooth.
