20 Best Eye Wipes For Dogs (2023 Updated)

My pup and I live in the Arizona desert and despite the image of a beautiful sandy landscape, the ground here is mostly hard, compact caliche clay covered with a layer of fine sand and dirt, which frequently gets picked up by gusts of wind and blown all over the place.

It doesn’t take long for the inside of my dog’s ears to be coated with dirt, which then gunks up quickly with any moisture in her ears. When a dust storm picks up it happens in seconds, and if we’re not able to get inside, we both get sand and dust in our eyes.

Each wipe is durable and large enough to thoroughly clean both her ears, and I only use a second wipe so I can clean her eyes with a fresh, clean surface. The wipes are gently enough to use around her eyes, nose, mouth and ears without causing her any irritation or discomfort at all.

I have a 7 yr-old Min Pin who allows me to brush his teeth but he only likes coconut oil rather than doggy toothpastes that we have tried. I ordered the wipes in hopes of doing a better job reaching and cleaning tartar off his teeth.

This product is amazing but first I had to tweak it. The wipes are big for a Min Pin mouth. So, the first thing I did was tear the wipe in half. I folded it and wrapped it around my finger. At first, he seemed to like the peppermint flavor but after two teeth, he ran off and rubbed his mouth on the carpet.

I rinsed the wipe with water until the peppermint was gone and applied coconut oil. This time it worked perfectly and my Min Pin really enjoyed the experience. I will continue to brush his teeth and provide his daily Teeny Greenie dental chew.

But these wipes are a welcome addition to my Min Pin’s home dental care. This won’t take the place of dental cleaning at the vet but will hopefully improve his dental hygiene.

I found the cat version of these in the local pet store but I got more wipes here so I decided to try them. The wipes are bigger than the cat version but not as robust. It was a pain pulling them out of the little opening so I decided to pull the cap off completely and pull the wipes out from the middle of the roll.

To keep the rest of the wipes moist, I pushed the next wipe down into the middle of the roll and that seems to be keeping the wipes moist. All the above are minor inconveniences. I’ll buy them again.

With five animals in the house (3 cats, 2 dogs), I’m constantly having to wipe down paws and ears. These are the best wipes for ears that are suitable for both dogs and cats. Usually a quick wipe gets the job done and the animals don’t seem to mind it too much.

The smell isn’t overbearing either.

My Ol’ cat has always had ear issues and sensitive ears. So I needed a safe sensitive gentle clear wipes and wasn’t disappointed. No allergic reaction, No Ear Irritation, No issues at all love it, though have issues pulling wipes through the opening.

I have been using the Petkin oatmeal wipes on my Frenchie daily, since I adopted him 20 months ago. I initially bought the 200 pk until they became unavailable during the pandemic. I always found them to be thick enough and very moist to allow me to thoroughly clean his face and body.

During the pandemic the 200 count size was unavailable for months, so I purchased the Petkin Oatmeal wipes in the 100 count travel package (10 packages/10 wipes each). I found them to be the same thickness and moistness as the original 200 ct package.

The 200 ct package just became available, so I purchased 2 of them again, in lieu of the 100 ct travel packs. I found the reissued 200 ct package to be thinner than the original and not as moist. I am disappointed in the reissued product and will not reorder the 200 ct package but will order the 100 ct travel packs, even though they are more expensive.

I have a cat who was abandoned by her mother. She never learned to groom properly (I’ve never seen her groom her face). Thus, she’s kind of a hot mess all of the time, and she always manages to step or sit in her own poop.

I was hoping these would let me be able to bathe her and keep her clean. Not. really. When she eats, she digs into the food with her white nose, and winds up with food crusted along the top edge. I tried to wipe it off with the wipes, but it was taking forever and barely budging.

Instead I ran the cloth under some hot water. That did the job. Same with some of the dried/crusted poop on her fur. Some of it I just had to cut out. But overall, it wipes her fur down nicely, and leaves her smelling good.

I don’t know if I’ll buy them again, but I’m glad to have them.

My cat has leaky anal gland issues. Her veterinarian recommended I use pet wipes in-between her once a day washings to keep her clean. I was using Huggies simply wet wipes but they didn’t kill germs.

I wanted something that really cleaned her and helped prevent infections. These work really well. They are larger wipes, though not exactly thicker. They smell really nice. My biggest issue was that they were not very wet, only kinda damp.

So I added half a cup of distilled water to the package and that really helped and made it easier to clean her. I also think these are great for personal use. They take my makeup off and clean my face without breaking me out.

So double bonus.

It smells faintly of peppermint, has an extremely subtle taste (yes, I touched one to my tongue when I opened the package), and it’s magical. One of my cats was a stray for years until some rescue grabbed her out of a gutter, aggressively treated her for parasites and mange (she needed it), and put her in their shelter until I went there looking for a cat a few months later and took her home.

Basically, she ate trash for years, then got to a shelter that runs on nothing but donations so she was eating terrible cat food. The tartar issue was REALLY BAD. I got her on a great food brand (Solid Gold) that really helps dental health, but a lot of tartar was still there about a month after I adopted her.

Not anymore. The first time I took a swipe over her gums with these wipes, what came off was a significant amount of yellow goo and some old blood. Obviously she hated it, I would be angry too if someone grabbed my face and swiped some wipe-thing over my teeth, but because they are so gentle, she tolerated it enough for me to do it fairly consistently for a couple weeks, and her teeth have been BEAUTIFUL ever since.

I also use a water additive, which helped with her infected gums once I got the layers upon layers of junk off with these. If your cat has tartar problems, please use these.

I use these wipes daily on my cats ears. She gets 2 transdermal meds in both her ears every day, so gunk accumulates if not cleaned. These wipes are much more effective and soothing than moistened cotton balls.

She tolerates the cleanings well – as long as treats are given immediately after.

I was looking for a wipe without a ton of chemicals in it for my very sensitive 2 ys old who is afraid everything so there was no getting drops down his ear. I used the wipes just once, so far so good.

I also wanted to make sure that there was no possible skin sensitivity. Having used it just once everything seems ok so far.

I bought this for my white miniature poodle who is blind. He has a reddish brown discharge and these wipes have reduced the color. I have only used them twice, so hopefully it will continue to remove the discharge color.

I have to admit that I had about given up on eye cleaner. We have a Multi Poo which is white. He has really runny eyes. His eyes are always black. I have tried many cleaners on his eyes. These sheets seemed to have worked a little more than others.

I will keep using them and see how they work. So far I can see a little difference. Watch out Cotton here mama comes with the eye wipe.

Love the eye wipes. Didn’t even know BB had them for sale until I saw them for sale. Yay. Yorkies are notorious for having crud in the eyes and the wipes easily take care of this problem. What does BB have for their bossy attitude?.

I have a year old Maltese and he has the weepy eyes. I was window shopping on BaxterBoo and saw these eye wipes and decided to give them a try. They work ok but not as well as I thought they would; I was hoping they would get rid of all the brown stain on his hair by his eyes but they don’t.

But they do a nice job of cleaning the drainage from his eyes.

I give the wipes 5 stars: the fragrance is subtle, it does a good job of cleaning and removing odors from the wall of the litter box (I have a vertical peer) and the fragrance doesn’t linger. The dispenser is not user friendly, at least for me.

When it arrived there was a leak (from the plastic covering). When I attempted to pull the first wipe thru the dispenser thread, more than one got stuck in the middle. I’ve cut my thumb numerous times trying to get the wipes out thereafter.

I really like this product, however, I would prefer this in a flatpack pouch with a reclosable seal versus a container.

These wipes have changed my whole feeding routine. I hated having to wait for the water to get hot, takes forever in a second floor apartment, then adjusting it so I didn’t boil my hands while washing the bowls.

Now I don’t have to worry about it. I just let the water heat while I’m wiping off the bowls, even the dried stuck on stuff comes off, then give them a quick rinse and we’re ready for the food. I know it’s food grade cleaner but I still rinse the bowls.

My roommate is the self appointed drip police and was going for the paper towels to clean the counter when I handed him a wipe and suggested he try it instead. He says they do a great job there too. And since chewy was out of the litter box wipes when I placed my order, I’ll try these there next.

My dog Reece’s is a mixed breed (Shih Tzu, Chihuahua, Terrier mixed). He is a very active little dog and very protective with my autistic son. My dog is 6 years old and averages in the medium dog range (he’s small, but he’s 24 lbs.

). He gets a lot of “eye boogies”. I used these wipes to clean his eye boogies and I’ve used these wipes to clean his ears. I love how they are fragrance free (Although they kind of smell the play-doh).

My dog seems to like them 🙂 I honestly can’t compare them to other products because this is the first product I’ve tried to help with his eye boogies. Great benefits is these wipes do help clean up his eyes and his ears.

The package is tiny enough to stick in my bag to carry to the park/travel with 🙂 I will defintley be purchasing this product again 🙂 I will recommend this product to everyone.

Since using these on my doggy for his ears I’ve noticed he scratches them less on the bedding and rugs. His ears aren’t as red or smelly. They look and appear cleaner. I’ve continued to clean his ears with these wipes once a day and he actually enjoys it too.

I believe he finds them self soothing. When he hears the pack he gets excited. I have a dachshund and he has bigger floppy ears that tend to get bothersome. I definitely recommend the PL360 wipes to cover your fur babies eyes and ears! They will thank you and so will YOU!.

These wipes worked very well for my frenchtons. They have the typical smashed nose faces and have wrinkles and skin flaps and large ears. These wipes worked very well for wiping their wrinkles and faces but I really loved them for wiping their ears.

Both my dogs seemed to enjoy me wiping their ears with these wipes. They have a nice clean accent, not too overpowering but still smells fresh. I have been using these wipes weekly since receiving them and would recommend them to family and friends.

I bought these as my 17wk old chihuahua pup has got tear stains. I’ve been using them for couple of days now and there is zero change to the actual stains on his face I dont see them working even by the time I finish the lot.

There would be a slight difference by now if they were for working. Save your money and just use damp cotton wool I’m sure the results will be the same.

With gentle and regular use they have cleaned, and kept clean, the hair directly below my Chihuahua’s eyes. Couldn’t say for sure if they helped in eradicating the original staining (the hair may have grown out) but they’ve definitely been beneficial in maintaining that clear and clean look without causing any irritation or discomfort.

A quick wipe every few days, or when you see your dog’s eyes are a little dewy.

Quite disappointed with these. They’re very thin and very small. You need to use perhaps 3 together as they’re so thin and flimsy there is no substance to the material, They may clean around the eye, but don’t really clear the tear stains much which was the main reason I bought them.

Unfortunately I won’t be buying the again. Sorry! UJ.

Our pups suffer from tear stains. We’ve tried so many products, and none seem to do the job. These are great for helping remove the stains. You have to use them consistently. Gentle and effective. Would repurchase.

I’m pleasantly surprised at how well these ear wipes work for my cat. I knew that he wouldn’t mind me using on them as he lets me do pretty much anything to him; however, I was skeptical about how they would work.

And they work great! They get a lot of crud out of his ears and t hey work great for when his ears get a bit warm feeling. The only thing that is a bit disappointing is that when you order these, you need to be careful with what else you order.

The first canister I had arrived crushed, with the top broken.

One of my cats has had some staining and it irritates her eye on and off. Just when it starts to heal, she’ll start scratching at the scab or dried stain residue. Her eye runs sometimes during allergy season ( which is now) and both eyes get irritated.

I purchased these pads and placed them in the refrigerator so they’d be cool when I use them on her. Started using them on her and she took to them without a problem. She normally doesn’t like her eyes wiped.

One day last week she scratched the skin near her eye so bad it was bleeding. I immediately got one of the pads out of the refrigerator and wiped her eye clean. The bleeding stopped. She stayed calm which told me this did not burn her.

She just sat there and let me wipe her eye clean. It’s been a few days and I’ve made it a habit of cleaning her eyes daily with these pads. Her eyes look great now. These wipes contain water, boric acid, sodium chloride, sorbic acid, sodium borate and edetate disodium.

Safe ingredients. These pads are generously pre-moistened and do not dry out- even in the refrigerator. Highly recommend if your cat or dog has staining or runny eyes that need to be cleaned. Also great for daily maintenance.

I just moved into a new home that is almost 100 years old, so it can get a little dusty. About a week after moving in, I noticed my cat’s eye was squinty and when she was resting, her third eyelid would be pretty visible.

I wondered if maybe she was having an allergic reaction to the new home and to whatever dust might be floating around. I borrowed my mom’s air purifier and that seemed to help, but I wanted to give her an eye rinse to be sure, in case the issue was actual dust in her eye versus being around it.

I used a couple of these to gently clean the area around her eye before rinsing her eye with the “Vetericyn Plus Feline Antimicrobial Facial Therapy for Cats, 2-oz bottle” product and already her eye is doing SO much better.

Hardly squinty at all and I haven’t seen her third eyelid, and it’s only been a day since I washed her eye. I plan to use these in tandem with the Vetericyn rinse for a couple more times just to truly clear out whatever was bothering her.

I was so worried I’d have to take her to the vet and shell out hundreds. I’m so glad this worked as well as it did!.

Bought 2 of these. One for wiping down my Russian Toy breed dog’s eyes and face as part of regular weekly grooming. Easy to use, non irritating to eyes and face. I use regular doggie wipes for his body and his feet, but will continue to use these eye wipes now too.

The 2nd jar is for my daughter’s dachshund who is old, deaf and getting cataracts. Using them on her is easy, the wipes do help remove “eye crustys” every day and best of all they do NOT irritate or cause discomfort to the her at all.

I personally suggest separate jars of eye wipes for those with multiple dog homes. The jars are plastic so you can write dog name on each jar with a felt marker. Price-wise these are a real bargain compared to similar products.

I see many low reviews for this product. I’ve used them since my 6-year-old boxer was a puppy and I love them. She calmly sits and lets me wipe her weepy eyes and also acts as if it feels good. She has a black mask no I am not in it for the stain issue, but for cleaning, these are great.

This is very old product ! There is a code on the bottom of the jar, and when I called the manufacturer it turns out that this product was made over 18 months ago ! The product looked old. yellowing of the outside label, and we noticed that the label graphics don’t match what is on the manufacturers website which shows the current version.

These wipes are very large for small dogs. I feel like I am wasting them. I wish they made them in a smaller size with a larger quantity in the jar. However, they are safe and have a pleasant smell.

The wipes come in a resealable pouch and have remained moist so far. Like any moistened product for pets, if you don’t use these withing a reasonable time, the wipes will dry out. For the price, this is a good deal.

This stuff works great on my Chihuahua. The vet told me to keep her eye drainage clean because it can develop skin irritation underneath the fur. First time I used it, it removed the stains! Previously, I used a wet washcloth.

Worked well for Eye gunk, but not so well on the stains. I also like the resealable container. I’ve used other products that just have a tab covering the opening. Very pleased with this product.

Our dog’s problem stems from allergies. Runny eyes that created dark stained streaks with red irritation underneath on his white face. After his allergies were somewhat addressed, we used these pads on his streaks several times a day.

After 10 days of use the streaks are much improved. Redness gone and stains greatly minimized. Because he still has some allergies we’ll continue to use these pads.

I used to buy the tub of 70 wipes, which were great, but now seem to be discontinued. Bought three of these smaller tubs of 17, which seemed like a handy size. but all wipes in all three tubs were bone dry.

Very poor – won’t be buying again.
