There are many different exfoliators that can be recommended by dermatologists for oily skin. Some popular choices include products that contain salicylic acid or glycolic acid, as these ingredients can help to break down excess oil and sebum on the skin.
Other options include physical exfoliators, such as scrubs or brushes, which can help to slough away dead skin cells and oil build-up.
20 Best Exfoliator For Oily Skin Dermatologist Recommended
I have sensitive skin and lil dryer these days. Bought the liquid exfoliant in pink box. It did give me a glow. Like other reviews, it did make my face red and slightly heated but goes away must be the acids working.
I Initially left a review stating it did not dry out my skin which was great, but after using for a few days in a row as Instructed it did in fact. So be careful not to over use. I got excited about the glow it was giving and was hoping it would diminish some unwanted pores.
It seems that it would work with even skin tone but gotta be careful with that too as sun sensitivity can create new ones. It’s a orb knowing bow to use so I’m giving it a break for now but have aside and will update review if I notice something different once I use again.
Professional skincare brand Paula’s Choice present the Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant; an award-winning treatment ideal for combination to oily skin types. Rapidly absorbed, the leave-on formula offers a gentle, non-abrasive solution to exfoliation.
Utilising Salicylic Acid (BHA), it chemically exfoliates the surface layer of skin, helping to dissolve dead cells and unclog pores for a more even and refined texture. The addition of Green Tea delivers essential antioxidants to neutralize free radicals and provide anti-aging properties, while Methylpropanediol optimizes the efficacy of the BHA and imparts a dewy, fresh finish.
Skin is left feeling deeply cleansed and decongested, with a clarified and balanced tone. Non-irritating and 100% fragrance free. Not tested on animals. Please Note: Those allergic to aspirin (acetylsalicylate) should not use products containing salicylic acid (beta hydroxy acid).
I don’t typically feel compelled to write reviews, but this product has changed my skin literally overnight- and there’s no way I won’t share my thoughts. I have ALWAYS dealt with acne-prone skin, texture, dullness, oily skin, hormonal acne, etc since I was a pre-teen.
Now, as a young adult, my skin gets wishy-washy and can look/feel decent for a few weeks and then go right back to breaking out and feeling super textured and rough in the snap of a finger. When it gets like that, even foundation and concealer cannot hide the tiny bumps or dark spots that stick around after a breakout has subsided.
Around this time last month, I was in Sephora, trying to use up a gift card, and came across this travel-sized PC exfoliant product. I had seen it around social media for years but didn’t want to just buy another hyped product only to have it do absolutely nothing.
Then I used this product for the first time after my nighttime skincare and woke up with different skin HA. No joke. 1 day after using this product and someone even asked me what my skincare routine was, what?! I hadn’t been complimented on my skin in years! I have been using this consistently on my face morning and night, and babyyyyy my skin is soft, supple, breakout-free, redness-free, texture-free, and just so radiant.
I feel like a goddess, seriously that’s how confident I am in my skin because of this product. Nothing else in my skincare changed except the addition of this exfoliant and my skin’s health has changed so dramatically, it is crazy.
In the back of my mind I am afraid my skin issues will just suddenly return one day but day after day when I go to wash my face and feel the silky smooth skin beneath my fingertips, it makes me so giddy.
I DO get hormonal acne around that time of the month, and I am awaiting that week to see if this product combats any flare-ups from that, and I feel hopeful it will. I only knocked a star because my oily skin issues still persist but it’s not that bad.
What I love about Paula Begoun’s skincare range is firstly: the transparency. An explanation is given for each ingredient so you know exactly what you’re putting onto/into your skin. Secondly there’s ample opportunity to trial the products via a sample size on the website.
Not to mention a good returns policy. The 2% BHA lotion was one of the products that I invested in full size (along with a bunch of samples) and funnily enough was my least favorite out of everything I ordered.
It’s not that it broke me out or disagreed with me in any way, it just didn’t do much for me. Even after the first 3 weeks of usage, gradually built up to twice daily applications, my skin still looked exactly the same as before I started using it.
Pores, blemishes, oiliness, you name it. zero difference! It’s unfortunate, as I skipped the option of a sample pack, thinking it wouldn’t be enough product to give it a fair try. I was somehow convinced this 1 bottle would be the answer to all my skincare woes (not entirely sure what lead me to believe that!).
The good: it wasn’t harsh on my skin like many BHA products can be, and the application was well controlled, never too much or too little. And I have, after 4 months of continued use seen a very slight difference to clogged pores on my nose (less gunk when using the weekly nose strip) but nowhere near significant enough to warrant a re-purchase.

This is my tried and true holy grail exfoliator. No matter what I try, I always come back to this one. I have emptied soooo many bottles of this. I have very sensitive, combination (super dry/normal in the winter & oily/normal in the summer but I can still use this product all year around despite my skin type) and acne prone skin.
I have to say that I hated this product the very first time I tried it–it stung my skin. It was to the point where I ran into the bathroom to wash it off my face after just a few mins of applying it.
I really tried to like the product but the sting was too painful and the SMELL of this is absolutely atrocious. The product smells like acetone to me and I probably gagged in about 20 different languages when I put it on my face for the first time (although I would rather it smell disgusting than have them add a ton fragrance to the product.
My skin doesn’t do will with heavy fragrances). I left this on my vanity for a few months before I picked it up again–I just didn’t want to waste my money. Someone told me to dilute the product with water on a cotton pad–I tried it and it didn’t sting my face nearly as bad but still some intense tingling going on.
But the next morning, I noticed how soft and rejuvenated my skin looked and felt. I continued to use it once a week and I fell in love with the product and slowly stopped diluting it as much as my skin got used to it.
After 4-5 years of using this religiously 2-3 times a week, I still feel tingling on my skin when I use it but I’ve gotten use to the feeling and the horrible smell because the results are worth it. Due to my sensitive skin, I absolutely can NOT use this product more than 2-3 times a week.
This product is wonderful. It takes me about a little less than a year.

Finally! Used to use an Estée Lauder cleanser that was my holy grail, it was discontinued years ago & my skin has been on the decline & just blah since. I reluctantly gave this a try and I am sooo happy I did.
It is the closest feeling/ result to my old holy grail I’ve found. It leaves your skin really clean, tighter, & glowing. I worked an entire day at work & my skin still felt clean/ not oily at end of day.
I am stunned bc I have combination skin that was looking dull. This has completely changed the look the of my skin – it’s fresh & glowing & I feel like any dry/ dull skin is gone. This has restored my faith in skincare & reminded me how much heavy lifting a cleanser can & should do for your skin.
I got a compliment on my skin today & I haven’t had that happen since my Estée Lauder days. I am getting another the next time I go to Sephora. If your feeling like nothing is working & you have combo skin I would say run now and get this.
Fantastic product. This exfoliator has a creamy but very thin consistency with tiny soft particles that rub but do not scratch. When applied on the face with a little bit of water, it lathers very creamy.
Doesn’t burn if some gets in the eyes. Very gentle and non irritating. But the magic happened after I rinsed and dried my face. It glows! Same effect almost as the glow recipe dewy niacinamide drops serum! WOW I was not expecting that.
It looks like my face was polished! I look so healthy and glowy when I use this exfoliator! Amazing. wish it was not so expensive. but the bottle is huge and you need to use this 2-3 times a week, a little goes a long way and this will last months!.

Very gentle formula, great for sensitive skin. I think I prefer a more gritty exfoliant once to twice a week, rather than one this gentle daily formula as the cellulose beads melt away after a few swipes of the face/chest.
For some this is probably ideal, but I just don’t tend to grab this one off the wall when I know I have flakes.

I love Bioré. Even if it isn’t the best or top of the line product, it definitely does what I need it to. After I washed my face with this scrub my face wasn’t dried completely out, which I like. My skin is already dry enough without washing it with facial wash to make it drier.
I always take this one with me on vacation too because depending on where I am going I’m probably going to sweat a lot. I need a wash to unclog my pores so my face feels clean. I recommend for when you run out of your usual facial wash and for if your usual wash doesn’t come in travel size because this one does.

I’ve been using this every other day for a few weeks now, and it’s not for me. I have oily skin, and even using this every other day, the amount of alcohol this face wash dried out my skin to the point where I have peeling in some areas.
I also have an issue with acne from PCOS, and normally can get it under control with Clinique Pep Start scrub and Target brand benzoyl peroxide spot treatment. For the most part, I have very minimal acne and breakouts using those products.
So I expected a acne fighting face wash to deliver the same or better results as what I was currently using… which is why I gave it a try. Unfortunately that’s not the case. Using the Differin scrub, I had more pimples per breakout and much longer breakouts.
There are still some large cystic acne spots I had developed during the first few days of using the Differin scrub that have not gone away weeks later… to include on my body, not just my face, as I use scrub on my face and upper body.
I had to stop using the Differin as of yesterday because I personally think it’s making my acne worse. I give the product 2 stars because I do think it’s a good chemical exfoliant. It left my skin very smooth, and it did instantly brighten as claimed.
But as I said before, the extreme dryness and more intense acne that just won’t go away, this product is not for me. I also can’t recommend it as I do feel it is the Differin product affecting my skin like this since it’s the only thing I changed in my routine.
It’s unfortunate that I’m not better with photos, but the large acne spots you can see are the ones I’ve had for weeks since I started using the scrub. There’s also quite a bit of smaller acne stuck under the skin that isn’t showing up well on photos, and I’m surprised the chemical exfoliant hadn’t taken care of that, but it stands to reason that something else is aggravating my skin more.
I’ve been using this product for quite some time, every other day, because I don’t have an acneic skin although my skin is acne prone. I absolutely love how this feels. The jojoba beads are very gentle regardless of your skin type and it does brightens my skin immediately.
Honestly, this is probably one of the few products I own that promises to brighten my skin that actually does the job. I find this product to give an amazing cooling sensation afterwards, nothing overwhelming.
There’s a light white tea scent to it, some people love, some people hate. I love it. If you care about pH levels, this product contains 5. 0 to 6. 0. This is a 6oz tube, for about $10. Not bad at all.
As a forward, let me say that I LOVE Differin Gel as a retinol/acne treatment. But this is not Differin Gel. This is their brightening exfoliator. I’m not actually sure what this stuff is supposed to do.
It smells mostly like nothing, but vaguely chemically. It has a ton of little green micro-beads in it, which at best, I hope are biodegradable. My research didn’t turn up much in that department, so it’s possible that the micro-beads are biodegradable and environmentally friendly, or maybe not? I don’t know? Either way, I’m dubious of micro-beads in general, and in this case I didn’t feel like they really do anything.
I was expecting to feel some kind of exfoliation from them, but the remainder of the product is kind of slimy and the micro-beads can’t do their job. I don’t feel exfoliated at all. Not exactly sure how it’s supposed to brighten either.
I do feel slightly (VERY SLIGHTLY) moisturized, but still needed to apply a moisturizer after the shower. Also- it takes a LOT of product to “exfoliate” your arms and legs so I could see this being a frequently purchased product (read: expensive), with very little return on the investment.
All in all, I look forward to purchasing more Differin Gel, but as for the Daily Brightening Exfoliator, probably would not recommend. @DifferinUS #DoThingsDifferin #complimentary.

I received this product for free from Shopper Army in exchange for my honest review. Let me start off by saying that I love Olay products and use several in my daily and nightly routine. Surprisingly I had not seen Olay Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub.
When I uncapped the lid I was very excited because it smelled wonderful! A light clean scent. It is a gel with tiny little particles that gently exfoliate your skin. I didn’t need to use much of the product to cleanse my face and neck.
It lathered up nicely and I liked that I could actually feel the particles gently cleansing my skin. It wasn’t uncomfortable and actually felt quite nice. I patted my face dry and began to continue with my skincare routine.
My face was very soft and had a nice healthy glow to it. I felt like it worked very well with my serums and moisturizers. It actually seemed to work with my other products and left my face more moisturized.
The only advice I have is that it is better to use this in the shower. When I washed (and rinsed thoroughly) over my sink I noticed that there was a lot of the little particles stuck in different areas on my face.
That did not happen in the shower. I highly recommend this and am looking forward to continuing results.
Shopper Army sent me Olay Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub for free in exchange for my honest opinion. This scrub has a nice grainy texture to gently exfoliate and smooth skin’s surface. It does not contain any parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, or synthetic dyes.
To use, you just wet your face with warm water, gently massage product over face, then rinse with clean water. My face felt very soft and rejuvenated after using this scrub. I felt all the toxins and dirt being removed and my pores became much clearer.
I have also used Olay moisturizers as well and they are nice to use after exfoliating and cleaning with this scrub. I definitely recommend people of all skin types try this scrub and apply a Regenerist moisturizer after for a complete freshly renewed face.

I originally bought this for my husband. After hearing how much he liked it I decided I needed to try it for myself. I’m so glad I did! One, it smells AMAZING. Two, I love the slight tingle. Three, the ingredient that makes it a scrub is fine which allows for a really deep all over clean.
I have relatively oily skin that is prone to breakouts. This does not dry my face out but does leave it perfecly cleansed and exfoliated. 10 out of 10 for me!!.
First, I am not male. I like to exfoliate my face twice a week. I found an exfoliator I love from a popular brand available on Sephora and on their own swanky women’s web site. The problem is the price.
I just don’t think everything has to cost so much money to be effective. My husband has used this brand for years. He doesn’t use the exfoliator. I ordered it and I think it’s really effective. It is definitely a rough sort of scrub, not for those looking for a gentle scrub.
But I use it and apply gently and my skin is so soft. It smells faintly of mint and is refreshing. It is white and my face feels clean after I use it. My pores look better as well.
Clarify your complexion with Caudalie’s exfoliating cleanser, designed to visibly refine your skin for a smoother-looking surface. Improving the appearance of texture, the formula contains plant microbeads that buff away at dead skin to reveal a fresher, softer finish.
Thanks to added hydrating Grape Water, dryness will be less likely, keeping skin supple and moisturised. What’s more, the cleanser is topped off with a sparkling scent, which uses notes of Sweet Orange, Mint and Grapefruit to uplift and revitalise the senses.
Skin will look and feel more radiant than before, making the exfoliator an essential part of your regular skincare routine. 97% natural-origin ingredients. Tested under dermatological supervision.
I haven’t got to the grand age of 36 and not tried an exfoliator or 3000! This one is by far the BEST! I absolutely love everything about it, the smells is divine, fresh and sweet yet almost minty and tingly.
The microbeads are perfection, scratchy enough to make your face feel buffed to baby softness but not harsh in anyway. I’m struggling to only use it twice a week as it’s so morish! I recently purchased another high end exfoliator at nearly twice the price and I’m honestly annoyed as it’s not a patch on this one.
I think it’s safe to say my search for the perfect exfoliator has come to an end, I highly doubt anything could surpass this one. Caudalie you did good!.
I have quite sensitive skin that can be oily and combination, when it comes to exfoliators I like to make sure I’m not using anything too strong that will irritate my skin. This exfoliator has been a great find and has worked well on my skin.
It’s helped remove dry patches and also improved the pores I have around my t-zone there are often congested. It leaves my skin feeling really clean and clear, I use a couple of times a week which works well for me.
I have used this exfoliator for a while now and have found it to be the best one i have tried. My skin likes a grainy exfoliator – it helps to clear pores and debris – i then usually follow with a purifying mask.
It’s texture is satisfying, without feeling harsh and uncomfortable or sore and you could use with or without water depending on the texture or consistency you like. I tend to apply to a slightly damp skin, then add more water as i go before removing in the shower.
Ole Henriksen Transform Lemonade Smoothing Scrub is a refreshing peeling for the face. This is a peeling that works both mechanically and chemically on the skin, and with the help of AHA, lemon and sugar gives a fresh, radiant and clear skin.
This peeling reduces the visibility of pores and gives new life to dull and gray skin. It lifts dead skin cells with the help of AHA, while lemon peel powder and ultra-fine sugar exfoliate the surface, leaving the skin silky soft and smooth.
In addition, it contains basil and chamomile, which soothe the skin. Since Ole Henriksen Transform Lemonade Smoothing Scrub contains fruit acid, it is recommended to use sun protection during the day in connection with the product.

this review is for those who like a STRONG. nay. VERY STRONG exfoliater. Those who don’t – you’ll love this product and you can stop reading here. I purchased this as they discontinued the walnut scrub and was looking for a replacement.
Figured since this came out around the time they discontinued the walnut one it would be just as strong. Unfortunately it isn’t. I know other reviews say this exfoliater is TOO strong which is partially why I tried it (“too strong” for others = “just right” for me), but compared to the walnut scrub this is very mild.
I am part of what’s likely a small population that requires a truly STRONG exfoliater to keep my skin smooth and free of buildup in my pores. I require something with quite a bit of scrubbing power to clear off that bumpy dirty feeling.
Maybe it’s because my pores are so large they’re visible from space? Not really sure. Regardless, if you are like me, this is not the product for you.
I wanted to use this product for at least two weeks before giving my review here. I have never used Ole Henriksen before this product and as an introduction to the brand this is a great one. I’m hooked and in love! Over-all I really appreciate a brand looking at what’s been trending and effective then creating a product with that in mind and including new types of products.
What I’m referring to with this product is the use of Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) as a chemical exfoliant. Towards the end of 2019 people started leaning towards chemical exfoliators instead of physical ones due to so many brands coming out with scrubs that contain ingredients that can create micro tears on the skin and skin care experts said we should change the way we cleanse the skin to avoid these issues.
I know The Ordinary brand blew up this year for the peeling face mask they made and for good reason because it is a great product. What this product tells me as a consumer and as a new costumer to the brand is that they pay attention and hear what the consumers want.
They are open to creating new products that are innovating and exciting, products that are meaningful and that have taken time to make a really awesome product. This smoothing scrub is one of those products! I was sent this by Influenster and couldn’t be happier! It actually does exactly as it claims, smoothing the skin instantly and cleaning out pores.
There is grit to it as a physical exfoliator, however I can definitely tell a difference between this and say the Ives Apricot scrub, it doesn’t feel as harsh on the skin and I don’t feel like I’m using sand paper.
It’s gritty because of the fine sugar and lemon peel extract, but the texture is like a jelly or slush which feels so nice on the skin. You definitely can feel the AHA’s working on your skin and at the same time it also soothes and refreshes the skin.
I love massaging it into my skin and feel it going to work on smoothing and polishing. The first thing I noticed about this scrub is the smell and I mean that in the best way possible. With one whiff I feel like I’m outside on a warm summer day with a glass of fresh squeezed lemonade or at a wedding enjoy a delicious slice of lemon cake.
The best part is that it really does smell natural, not like any fake, man made chemical fruity citrus smell. And because it’s natural, it’s not over powering in the slightest, to me. After two weeks of using this product (five uses) I’ve seen a dramatic change in my skin that I was not expecting.
My skin is smoother than ever before, I do feel like it’s prevented breakouts and also shortened the length of the ones I have. The tone of my skin has evened out a lot, making dark spots and acne scars visibly reduced.
I also noticed that my skin looks plumper and brighter, like it’s full of life and youth. Especially in the winter I suffer from extremely dry and dull skin but this leaves me glowing and bright! I have tried a lot of scrubs, washes and cleansers over the years, from drugstore to high end but I have never tried a product that is as effective as this one.
And the best part is that it’s great for people who want a low maintenance skin care routine. The past two weeks all I’ve used is this scrub, an eye cream and at night after I use the scrub I put on a thick layer of a hydrating sleeping mask to help replenish my skin after exfoliating.
I would definitely recommend this to everyone from super dry to super oily skin, the only people that I would say should be cautious about trying it is people with super sensitive skin due to the AHA.
Also using it at night is probably best because your skin becomes very sensitive after and you should not be exposed to sunlight after using because you can really damage your skin. Please use sunblock after!.
I was super excited to try this new scrub, I am always on the lookout for something that really delivers and in this case sloughs away the layers of dead skin to help my aging skin. Once I hit 40 I have noticed more breakouts monthly if I don’t keep up on exfoliating my skin.
I use retinol, vit c and numerous other serums so it’s important that I keep up on the exfoliation step otherwise monthly I end up with some pretty gnarly breakouts. So that’s when this scrub comes in.
I always fully wash my face before I use any scrub. It is pretty yellow and smells lemony but that’s a given right? The texture is definitely grainy but has some grit to it, it is not one of those scrubs that once you put a tiny amount on your wet skin the water it makes the scrub loose all its scrubbing properties.
Now do not use it without water. I missed a spot on my right cheek and I could definitely feel it. It wasn’t horrible but you don’t want to scrub your face off. I rubbed it in for a good 2 mins and let it sit on my skin for another minute or two and then washed it off.
Immediately I could feel the difference when I wash washing my face. It was really soft. My skin felt great. It did not burn, smells fine and works. I have used it 3 times so far and I can definitely see myself buying another bottle when I run out as it really does a great job at scrubbing your face without being too abrasive.
I definitely like it more than my old scrub I was using. I don’t know if it is just product fatigue but I think it’s because the product actually delivers results I would expect. Would reccomend it to others and already have actually.
I received this compliments if Ole Henriksen and Influester for my completely honest and unbiased review. When it comes to skin care I take reviews like this seriously as it is something you’re applying to your face.
Get a smoother, refreshed complexion with Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser. This cleanser helps visibly reduce the look of pores and gives you more evenly toned skin. The cleanser’s dermatologist-tested alpha and beta hydroxy acid formula works in two ways to deliver results.
First, gentle exfoliators sweep away dead surface skin and smooth over rough, uneven patches. Alpha and beta hydroxyl acid formula also penetrates deep into pores to remove dirt, oil, and makeup that can clog and enlarge them.
With daily use, pores can look up to half their size in just two weeks. The cleanser is non-comedogenic, soap-free, and clean-rinsing.
I’ve been using this cleanser for several years and it is incredible for my combination normal/oily skin! It keeps my pores clear and that helps the large pores around my nose look smaller. My skin looks brighter and the daily exfoliation helps with fine lines and wrinkles.
It doesn’t dry out my skin, but it has helped to balance out the oily around my nose. My skin looks and feels firmer when I use this cleanser versus something else. I have always tried to take good care of my skin and this product has help to keep my 52 year old skin looking much younger than it is.
I’m always on the hunt for new skin care products. I especially like trying new cleansers, so I rarely buy the same product repeatedly. This is my go to face wash and not only have I bought it time after time, I almost always buy two at a time! I have been having a difficult time finding it in the stores in my area, but it is worth the effort to search it out or order it online.
You know how you’ll use a product for so long that you forget it’s actually THAT thing that’s making the good thing happen? Well, this is THAT product. I used it for years with great results. Some shiny new facewash (that has since come and gone) lured me away – I’ve unknowingly regretted it ever since.
I recently found a half-used bottle in my closet and started using it again. YES!! THIS IS IT!! Whyyyyyyy did I stop? Living is learning, my friends. I’ve had blackheads my WHOLE life. I’ve fought them every way possible and this is the only thing that gets rid of them, even though I think it’s an unintentional benefit.
How? Well, when your pores tighten, the stuff in them has nowhere to go. except OUT. I’d feel my nose (and places I didn’t even know I had blackheads) and wonder what the heck was happening. It was like little seeds and those suckers popped right out.
At that point, the pores tightened and the goop doesn’t get back in. BOTTOM LINE – get it, use it, and never stop. Oh, and the toner.
It’s the best face cleanser I’ve used in years ! It helps tone and minimize my pores and also is an amazing exfoliant. It has AHA / BHA Acids (Alpha and Beta) that exfoliates clogged pores. The tiny ‘beads’ in the product melt into your skin, instead of tearing skin like most exfoliating products do with daily use.
I have a bit of experience with using acids for skin care and any exfoliating acid will make your face peel a bit. It’s not anything harsh or to be worried about, moisturizers help with peeling. The peeling is your skins natural reaction to the chemical acids.
It peels where pores are clogged the most, I’ve noticed. The peeling after product useage has no flaking, itching or redness, your skin just peels off a little and usually lasts 3-4 days. I use the toner too ! I’ve noticed a complete difference in my skin and I feel so much more confident.
This gentle e. l. f. Exfoliating Scrub helps polish away dead skin cells for healthy, glowing looking skin. Infused with purified water and vitamin E, its rich hydration leaves skin feeling smooth and looking more luminous.
I love this exfoliating cleaner. I use it once every couple weeks to get that really deep cleaning on my face. This gives me that deep cleaning without being too harsh. There’d nothing in it to be abrasive enough to cause them little cuts and cause redness on the face.
It’s really perfect for gentle exfoliation. Elf really just has this skin care line perfect!.
This was a surprise. I recieved this in a subscription box so it took me a little while to use it. One day I saw it in the shower! My husband dug through my cleansers! Shocked because 1. He complains about my makeup, skincare, haircare, etc but what got me was we have been married for 14 years and as much as I nagged at him to use something other than regular soap on his face I now see a Cleanser of mine in the shower.
anyway I used it and loved it. Mild expholiation, very soft skin. Elf keeps surprising me over and over. As far as leaving it in the shower for hubby nope took it away and replaced it with another brand I had multiples of lol.
Using natural exfoliants – crushed walnut shells and cocoa powder – it gently smoothes skin, leaving it softer and brighter without any nasty parabens or phthalates. Imagine a facial scrub so natural, yet effective, it helps keep skin smooth whilst enriching skin with the goodness of cocoa and shea butters.
Palmer’s Micro Fine Exfoliating Facial Scrub is exactly that. Dermatologist Tested – Safe for sensitive skin No Parabens –No Phthalates – No Dyes.
I didn’t mind the scent of this product. I did feel like it did a good job in exfoliating my skin and making it feel smooth afterwards. It made my skin feel clean and soft. I feel like it did what it said it would do.
This product has been “updated” from the picture. The product in the picture I have LOVED in the past, which is why I purchased again. I could tell that there was going to be one change, in that my old tube of facial scrub didn’t say anything about “white lily.
” It gives the impression that a fragrance was simply added–something that I was actually looking forward to. Let’s face it, there’s nothing pretty about the smell of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter products.
However, it wasn’t just the scent that had changed. The old formula was thick and creamy and gently exfoliating. The updated version is thin and runny and feels like sandpaper on my face. Very disappointed.
I enjoy the smell of this product but I’ve read that it isn’t great to use certain scrubs. I wasn’t sure if this one was one of those so I stopped using it just in case. The price point is good and once I research it a little more I may go back to using it on my face but for now I’m using it on my neck instead.
Just in case! I would love a reply to this post if anyone has read up on this product. .
While there are many different types of exfoliators on the market, dermatologists typically recommend those with smaller particles for people with oily skin. This is because larger particles can end up causing more irritation and inflammation.
Some of the best exfoliators for people with oily skin include those with glycolic or lactic acid, as these help to dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells and help to prevent clogged pores.
