20 Best Ergonomic Living Room Chair (2023 Updated)

So far so good. I love that they swivel. I also love that they are pretty wide. So you can really curl up in them. One chair was slightly darker than the other, but they still look great in my space.

I haven’t used them that much yet, but I’m looking forward to it.

The chair is beautiful but it arrived with 8 ball bearings rolling around in the box and an indentation on the arm. This left me with a chair that does not swivel with ease, makes noise and feels out of balance.

The company has been quick to remedy the situation and I am awaiting a new chair.

The navy blue chairs are perfect. They are comfortable and roomy. I would definitely recommend. Great buy!

Unless you want this as a decorative item & don’t plan to sit in it, don’t waste you time or money. It is truly a piece of junk. I purchased this for my CA home which I live in 5 mo. per year. Single occupied, no pets kids.

After only 8 mo of little me, 120lbs, 5’6″ sitting in it, the fake/bonded leather started to bubble & peel in areas. Now after approx 10 mo, it is shredded in many places. I have a bonded leather sofa made by Serta, 7 yrs old & it is like brand new so this is just a matter of very poor quality.

Lamps plus will do nothing for you, no parts etc It’s so junky, I cannot in good conscious even take to Goodwill. Guess I need to load it up & take to the dump. I’ve NEVER had a piece of furniture fall apart.

I take very good care of my things and most of my upholsttered furrniture is at least 15yrs old & looks like new. So sorry I wasted my time & money. Anyone who says it’s durable hasn’t had it longer than 6 months.

We purchased our new chairs and ottomans in Jan. , and my husband was able to put them in good order. They are definitely a different style from the two flowered print swivel chairs with ottomans that I had purchased from Macy’s about 17 years ago.

These will be easier to keep clean and I like that the ottomans have easy to open lids where I can put an unread magazine or book. Friends that have seen them have definitely liked the new chairs too.

the first one was quick and easy to assemble despite some cautions in reviews we had read before ordering. And we liked it so much we immediately ordered another. The fabric in this identical model ripped like tissue paper when pulled gently to fit frame.

I think it may have been torn already. Anyway, the rip made it impossible to zip up the back so we are using it in a less conspicuous area than the first chair. The idea of sending it back after being so near fully assembled was too complicated to consider.

No big deal. This is just the second less-than-terrific experience with a Walmart product we have ever experienced, and that’s not too shabby at all, is it?! We will continue to enjoy the excellent products and fast shipping (especially when FedEx is the carrier) Walmart.

com provides. Our closest Walmart store is 70 miles away, so this enables us to – for the most part – avoid the expensive, rude, lazy, union chain stores nearby. This is primarily a reminder that if you do buy one of these stylish chairs, look over the seams and stitching of fabric before committing to assembling it; and then be as gentle in your tugging and pulling as possible.

Like I said, the first one was a breeze and I finished putting it together in less than 20 minutes.

I’m honestly surprised at how comfortable this chair is! It’s the cheapest piece of furniture in my living room, but by far my favorite. I followed the advice of other reviewers and didn’t put the metal pieces fully together until I inserted them in the fabric.

Took me about 30 minutes in total to put it all together, it was pretty easy. Also – a note to the person who posted the black chairs that show the white hatching on the back. they didn’t put the chair together properly.

The cushion goes OVER that part, not on top. You don’t see that when it’s put together correctly. All in all, I don’t expect this chair to last 10 years, but for the price. its great!.

this is a lovely chair. i’m an antsy person, so this chair is great and bouncy for me and doesn’t even require as much effort as a rocking chair. for me the biggest drawbacks are that while assembling the last screw through the grommet into the frame the fabric tore, and the cushion is not very substantial which leads to pressure under the lower legs.

i do like the chair. the assembly was fairly easy until that last screw. (other reviewers had the same problem w/ fabric tearing). it is comfortable for the most part. for the price and how nice looking it is, i would recommend it.

i did reach out to walmart about getting a replacement cover and they replied quickly, offering to replace or refund my purchase if i disassembled and returned the whole chair, which was way too much effort.

apparently they do not offer replacement covers. good communication service on their part. just be warned that you may have the same problem.

I spent hours online trying to find a massage chair that would look beautiful in my home and couldn’t believe my good fortune on discovering the Classic from Nouhaus! I selected the camel color and love the mix of grey and tan.

In person, the leather and stitching look and feel like the seats of a luxury car. (I’m trying to convince a friend to buy the white one!) With the “beautiful” box ticked, my main concern was function, and this chair knocks the ball out of the park.

This chair doesn’t take too much space which is great and good for interior design as well. There are many options to change the massage area and I use it every day for an hour+. I highly recommend to buy this product.

These chairs are the cutest. We recently got 4 of them for our basement. Had 2 friends over just yesterday and they both said the chairs were comfortable. This was also the best price we could find for this style of chair.

Shipping was faster than first stated and they were packed well and covered up to prevent stains/marks. Highly recommended.

What a surprise! This is the first piece of furniture I have bought through WALMART, but probably won’t be the last. We were amazed at how easily the chair went together and the comfort of the chair is well worth the money! The fabric is so nice and it adds so much color to an otherwise monochrome room.

Great value for money. It’s a great recliner for small space like apt. More comfortable than I expected. Comfortable and stable. The back portion can be wiggled a little that you just need to move back in to place.

Easy to assemble with myself.

This recliner was easy to unpack and assemble. It looks great and is very comfortable. Although it is an exceptional value, it didn’t go with my other new furniture. This chair would be perfect for a small house or apartment.

These chairs are nice! First off, they do not smell. Second, they take only a few minutes to assemble. Third, I am a 5’2″ woman who unpacked the boxes by “rolling” them, and then assembled the recliners without help.

Fourth, they are comfortable and roomy enough. One friend reclined on one of them, and she is about 5’4, 240 pounds. She said it was comfortable. Fifth, they are good for small spaces. I looked all over for an appropriate sofa for my small living room.

I was using a futon couch that was about 6′ long and couldn’t spare more than about 75″. I like traditional furniture and spent a lot of time looking at sofas that were either too long or much too short.

Finally, I thought, “Buy recliners!” I didn’t know if I would have enough room for recliners, either until I came across these. They are both big enough and small enough.

I can’t say enough about how great these chairs are. No one believes me when I tell them what we spent because they are such a great deal! I bought two for my teenage son’s bedroom makeover and he and his friends love gaming while sitting in these.

Comfy recliner. I sit in this chair every day to watch tv and relax. I’m 5’7. The chair fits me no problem. I could see how it would problematic if I were any taller. The assembly was very easy. The reclining mechanisms are sturdy and have had no problems.

I recommend this chair to anyone 5’7” or shorter.

We purchased two of these swivel barrel chairs to match a similarly colored loveseat for our fireplace seating. They are comfortable and swivel smoothly. Hard to find smaller chairs for this space and these fit nicely with our grouping.

Many compliments and surprised faces when they hear I purchased from Target online. They arrived quickly and fully assembled. The only issue I had was the silver nail heads didn’t match the bronzed ones on our loveseat so I had to paint them.

First, we love the chair, very comfortable and looks great, would of been a 5 star, but, the color online is more blue, almost Robin’s egg blue, the actual color is more aqua (more of a greenish tone).

Still works for us, but if you’re looking for a more blue chair, you won’t be happy. We liked it so much, I just ordered another one!.

I started with just the Down Chair, but was so impressed with its quality construction that I eventually bought the remainder of the Down. Thanks, 1StopBedroom, for carrying really nice furniture that doesn’t need to break the bank.

Pros: Great chair for the young crowd. Visitors gravitate to it. It swivels. It’s comfortable. Cons: No arms. Very low to the ground. Hard to get out of for the “not-so-young” crowd.

Woodwork is poorly finished. Stitching appears it will wear easily as it is exposed on chair seat. Leather appears to be Bi-Cast leather. The chair leans back too far when not in reclining position. Color advertised is not the color of the chair.

Overall, this chair might turn out to be a poor purchase. Caveat Emptor.

This is the second Mac Motion chair I’ve purchased and absolutely love it. Perhaps the most comfortable chair I’ve ever owned and I’ve had a few. To be honest, I hate to sit in it because I’ll be asleep in five minutes.

The quality of the leather, rich colors and almost impeccable craftsmanship makes this chair a winner. The separate ottoman is pretty cool too. Will admit it was a bit of a bear to assemble but with two people and the included hardware I don’t see a major problem.

No tools are needed except the Allen wrench which is included. I do recommend the Cervical Pillow, however, which is a separate purchase. You can find them in the color of your chair. Same leather that’s on the chair.

I love this chair it is comfortable and was easy to assemble. BUT after about six months it squeaks. We will try to deal with that. WORSE the finish on the front of the wood is pulling away to expose the wood underneath.

Nothing was spilled and it is not a scatch, its just retracted sort of in a long 3 inch line about an inch wide. VERY noticeable and quite unexpected for a nice quality piece. I have never had wood finish pull away like this on any wood furniture.

The manufacturer offered to sell us a replacement front arm but with the cost of it and shipping can likely get a furniture finisher to replace for less. #SAD.

Love these chairs! My husband and I sit in them every morning and enjoy our fireplace. They are comfy and swivel. I have bought other pieces of furniture from Zuri.com and love them also.

Well, I wanted to be fair, and have used this chair for several months. I am quite dissatisfied with the chair, and will be returning it to Walmart just as soon as I figure out how to do it. I purchased the chair and a service policy online, and it took four or five tries just to get the order placed.

That should have been a warning, but I persisted and the big box with the chair parts arrived on my front doorstep a few days later. OK – opened the box, and everything looks fine. Read the instructions and all of the parts needed for assembly were there.

The chair parts didn’t fit together too well, but with some perseverance I was finally able to get all of the bolt holes and padded back, seat and sides together. The ottoman portion of the chair does not work like a traditional recliner, and has a black plastic handle on the lower right side of the chair that you lift forward and up to raise the lower section so you can rest your legs.

Weird, and not easy to actuate. Now – the recliner feature – FAIL. The chair doesn’t actually recline, but it will tilt back if you apply pressure to the chair back. And as soon as you lean forward, the chair springs forward with you.

Not a recliner – more of a spring back chair. There is a small plastic knob on the left side of the chair that is evidently there so you can “lock” the reclined chair in position. FAIL. That never worked, as the locking force of the knob is easily overwhelmed by the spring back nature of the chair.

Hoo-boy. this was getting tiresome. I really wanted a recliner, not a tilting chair (that does not tilt back more than 15 degrees or so. ) that is darn near useless. So I thought that maybe this chair could be used as an office chair.

FAIL. The height is not adjustable, and after a couple of weeks use the chair started squeaking as the metalwork supports are not well designed or made. A close inspection of the weldments indicates very low quality welds, and general low quality.

Yes – the chair was made in PRC (People’s Republic of China) but that is no excuse for the poor design and lack of execution in manufacturing. Can you tell that I’m not happy about this purchase? I spent about $300 for the chair and warranty and tax.

Not a good value if the total price was $150, or even $50. Lastly, the base of the chair is a round metal disk, which leaves a hula=hoop shaped crush mark on the carpet, so even the chair’s interaction with the floor is a.

For what it was advertised, and what I paid – this “Coaster Leatherette Swivel Rocker” is a FAIL. My next call will be to Walmart. com to arrange a return. Sigh.

We ordered this chair for our 92 year old mother for Christmas. It was not to be delivered until the 28th but we were pleasantly surprised by its arrival on the 21st. I put it together myself and it was ready for her when she moved from the care center to Assisted Living.

At first she found it difficult to slide forward on the cloth as opppsed to the vinyl chair she had in the care center. Now after a weeks use she loves the chair and says it is more comfortable than the care center one.

She has to get used to all the different configurations but time will solve that. One funny story- she was all upset and a little scared because her chair started moving on its own. Turns out she was sitting on the remote.

We got a laugh out of that! Putting it together was easy since I followed the instructions from another reviewer about opening the top, removing the packing and back. Then laying the box on the side and opening the bottom, removing the packing and turning the box upright and lifting it off the chair.

I positioned the chair where I wanted it since it was easy to move at that point then inserting the back on. My only complaint would be the pocket size needs to be more generous for remote , book, iPad etc making them more accessible.

All in all a good buy!.

I’ve only had for less than a week and that isn’t enough time to really acclimate myself to the product. It took an amazing amount of time to get it and it seem to work ok yet there are a few things that seem to be off putting.

At certain angles my neck is uncomfortable I use a neck pillow to help the discomfort but other than that it seems ok. I like the color it’s very soft and comfy, the arm rest seems a little too low when sitting upright, but they are padded ok.

I believe I will enjoy this chair very much once I am acclimated to having it. Thanks so much. I very much liked shipping free and home delivery and set up was awesome. Super fast shipping! Nice chair, seems sturdy. Only had to attach the armrests and bolt the back to the seat at the back. The rest was fully assembled. 10 minute job. Very lightweight and easy to move around.

The leg sections were mislabeled. R was actually left and L was actually right. Once I figured that out,they went together pretty easily. The chair looks nice and is comfortable.

These chairs were HARD to put together, the manufacturing isn’t precise. However once done they look great, are awesome accent pieces and very sturdy and comfortable. Just be warned that you’ll need time effort tools and a bunch of patience in putting them together, which is why the 4* instead of 5.

Assembly was easy. Chair is definitely firm but not too uncomfortable. Softer material in the seat and back cushion would make the difference. Affordable way to host around the coffee table

We love this chair! It’s a beautiful color, the velvet is so soft, and it’s fairly comfortable. It was also very easy to put together and had no off-gassing smell you often get with new furniture.

I wanted a nice chair in my bedroom so I wouldn’t have to lay on the bed when watching tv. This one is leather, stylish and comfortable. I am a female. I put it together myself, because I was tired of waiting for my husband to put it together.

It took me an hour to put together. It advertised 10 minutes. Everything was going smooth until I had to put the back on the chair. It wouldn’t align and slide together in the brackets. It would only go so far.

I had to take it off and try about five times. Got kind of frustrated because I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong. Finally it went in. Other than that, it’s very comfortable. Also they include all the tools that you need to assemble it.

I got this chair recently for a guest bedroom and its perfect. The chair is solid and is fairly comfortable. It has a good recline to it with a nice foot rest. The assembly was very easy, which took me all of five minutes.

The chair looks great and has a very nice, modern aesthetic to it. I love this chair.

We purchased 2 of these swivel chairs and took about a month from time of purchase to delivery. This was drop shipped directly from the manufacturer and packaging was solid in thick cardboard with a white sheet protector over it.

Since we purchased two the delivery truck guy loaded this and left us with the pallet that it came shipped on. It’s not super heavy, two person job can carry it in. Upon opening it I was in love with how pretty it looked.

We debated over and over between this color and another and I’m so glad we went with the crescent color. It added an airy feeling while looking lux. I underestimated the size of this even though we measured it.

It does stand out in the formal room (in a good way). Assembly wasn’t necessary. Out of the box it was ready. The swivel is smooth. The chair itself is super firm so it’ll take some time breaking in.

It does sit low to the ground and seat height is low as well. It’s a perfect chair for reading and love wrapping my arms around the elbow rest.

This stylish chair fits in many spaces. The shape and details are my favorite not to mention it is very comfortable. The neutral color is perfect, the material is soft and very high quality. It’s very chic and timeless.

Twelve years ago I purchased 2 large Sunrise chairs with the swing tables. They were lovely and comfortable additions to the TV room. Approximately six years ago I moved into an efficiency apartment.

I have been trying to sell them since with disappointing offers. I have been told the most I can get is $600 for the pair if I am lucky. The original price was over $4,000. 00 for the pair. They are in good condition.

I am a senior on a fixed income. Obviously, I did not make a very good investment.

I have a severe lumbar spine scoliosis. It has been impossible for me to find a comfortable chair and I have looked for years. A friend suggested I try a Stressless recliner. I found a store that carried them in the small, medium and large sizes.
