20 Best Emerald Green Hair Dye (2023 Updated)

This is one of the only purple/ burgundy hair colors that actually shows up on my dark hair. It is very concentrated and bright, yet it doesn’t make my hair any darker, only more colorful. It adds a rich burgundy purple tone that reflects beautifully in the sunlight.

While I love the results, this hair color does dry out my hair a bit, so I make sure to use a good quality shampoo and conditioner immediately after rinsing the color. It does fade quickly, as do most purple shades of hair color, but I’ve found I can prolong the color by washing with a color safe shampoo and conditioner and avoiding hot water and heat tools.

Overall, I love this color and plan to use it again and again!.

this stuff is AMAZING!! So I have been on the grey silver hair trend (well trying to get there at least) lol and the stuff is a lifesaver! I couldn’t get the darn brass out of my hair and it was driving me crazy! tried almost everything! My last option was toning but after all the bleaching I didn’t want to use chemicals.

this saved my life and turned my pale yellow to a beautiful silver after one wash with a little bit in my shampoo! then I shadow tried with it full strength! no brass slightly profile like I wanted (only in the sun and thats because I left it on as little longer to achieve the purple silver look).

I also used it on my son because w bleached his mohawk twice but was still orange like really orange! one freaking wash with a purple shampoo I made with this (a little stronger than the one I made for my hair since his was so orange) and we got a beautiful silver!! I’m 1 wash!! no more expensive purple shampoo for me baby! I got one bottle and have made 3 batches of purple shampoo, shadow ripped my hair fill strength 4 times and still have over half a bottle left! My go to and will always keep it stocked in my house!! totally recommend if having title getting brass out or arrived orange after bleaching and don’t want to bleach again!.

Perfect semi permanent hair dye. This is the 3rd colour I’ve used of this brand and put the dye over faded blue and purple split dye. The blue side went purple and over the purple it went the same colour as the bottle.

The best hair dye I’ve ever used. East to apply. I have a lot of hair. I went through a bottle and a bit just because I wanted to make sure I covered the blue. Love the smell. Love how easy it is to wash out and off skin.

It’s obviously gonna fade after a few washes. Normally lasts about 10 washes for me but I have rather damaged hair so that’s to be expected. Recommend this to everyone.

I actually used the shade 210 Lavender, but that one isn’t available to review on here. So I took a huge leap of faith, and dyed my hair an “unnatural” color all on my own! My hair was on the dryer side when I decided on undertaking the dye job, and I couldn’t believe how much dye it sucked up.

I actually used two of the packets of 210 Lavender dye on my belly button-length hair, and had none left over. To be honest, I wish I had a third packet to really apply it thoroughly, because I was nervous about running out the whole time.

The dye feels like a conditioning hair mask. I lightened my hair to a bleach blonde almost white months ago and chose just to rock some natural roots with the purple color, so I’m not sure hot well this dye applies to freshly lightened hair.

The dye is pretty forgiving, for anyone that wants to do it themselves. After carefully applying the dye, making sure each strand was fully saturated, and waiting a little over a half hour, I washed out the dye.

When the dye was fully rinsed, my hair texture still felt healthy and didn’t feel overly processed. I found that the color stuck pretty universally, and didn’t experience any areas holding the color better than others.

Does stain hands.

For a back story I am a natural sandy brown and my hair is in a mohawk currently. So I purchased the iroiro neon blue and first I did a bleach kit as I mention darker natural hair as I wanted to get the full effects of the neon.

So bleached first then onto the color. I applied the color and left it on for 45 minutes so that i would get the bright vibrant blue i wanted. 45 minutes later i wash dye out under cold water as warm will fade it, didnt want that.

However I have been dying hair for 20+years so I’m experienced and know what I’m doing. I am almost a week out and I literally look like I used one of the 1q 0 washes dye because I havent washed it yet but it looks as if I’ve pretty much combed it right out.

This is by far the worst hairdye I have ever used. I’ve used numerous brands and numerous different colors and I will never purchase this brand again. I would not recommend it as it does not do what it stands behind.

Worst product ever.

I had this put in by my hair stylist. She did research before buying a green color. This was her first time doing both green and this brand. This is 350 Neon Green. I fell in love almost instantly when the color barely washed out of my hair when rinsing.

It’s so bright and very beautifully pigmented. The fade is absolutely stunning. And definitely is a 2 in 1 color taking less time to do a yellow to green fade in my hair. As it fades naturally. This one is also very UV reactive.

I sat in the sun about 3hrs about 8 days and 1 wash later and it was so nest to see the yellow green color. And then have it turn a darker shade indoors. This is by far my most favorite color I have ever placed in my hair.

I had her do a crown effect to my underlayment. With my natural color on top. And it’s the perfect balance between the 2. It’s been a month and 4 washes later. And I still cannot believe this is my hair now.

Definitely recommended.

I have being dying my hair bright, vibrant red for just over five years now, and Arctic Fox has been part of my color maintenance routine since day one. Vibrant red hair is not easy to maintain and keep from fading quickly, which can very quickly do serious damage to your hair if your only using ammonia-based chemical dyes every time you need to refresh your color.

Arctic Fox doesn’t damage hair at all. In fact, it helps undue the damage caused by permanent dyes because it doesn’t have any harsh chemicals that strip hair. Arctic Fox is actually GOOD for your hair and works just like a conditioner, not like a hair dye.

I add Arctic Fox to my regular conditioner (sulfate free of course) so that every time I wash my hair I’m also keeping my red looking vibrant and even healthier every time. I always wash my hair using the coolest water I can tolerate and after I shampoo I apply my premixed bottle of 3/4 sulfate free conditioner, 1/4 Arctic Fox Wrath + a dollop of Violet Dream and let it sit on my hair secured on top of my with a claw clip while I finish the rest of my shower routine, just like I would do with a nourishing hair mask.

Once my routine is done, I rinse out my hair thuroughly in cool water and towel dry it only so I get the most out of conditioning my hair, and viola! My looks, feels softer and healthier than before I washed it, plus my red still looks like it did the day I first day I dyed it.

It’s a win win. Not only does Artic Fox keep my red looking great, but it leaves my hair healthier every time also. Plus the custom colors you can create by mixing different different Arctic Fox colors together are endless! I was amazed at the color i got by mixing Purple AF + a touch of Aquamarine! It sounds crazy to mix aquamarine and deep purple together, but the color came out a multidimensional dark blue/purple-ish color that changes color depending on how the light hits it.

It’s my new favorite color! It does come out very dark, so I apply it (no conditioner added) to the bottom 1/3 of my hair and lightly pull the color upwards into my red to get a perfect blended fade from bright red to deep blue/purple.

I get compliments on my hair every day and people always ask me how I keep my color looking so bright all the time. Arctic Fox, that’s how! =).

I have been using arctic fox for almost a year now. I have used to it maintain my hair in various shades of blue, purple, pink, and turquoise. I switched over from overtone because it was staining my hair, esp the dark blue.

Arctic fox does not do this, but it also needs to be refreshed a bit more often. If you have bleached hair and want to switch colors somewhat frequently, this is the best I’ve found. My hair stylist can get my base back to blonde for when I want a change, while this was not achievable with other brands.

Blue in particular tends to be really stubborn to get out, but so far my hair stylist has no complaints about Poseidon or Blue Jean Baby. The color holds on WAY better to the bleached part of my hair (I have my stylist fade the bleach out so I don’t get abrupt looking roots, but I still get good longevity on all my hair by using this process: -Wash my hair with clarifying shampoo (do this a couple of days in a row leading up if you use dry shampoo a lot like I do) and DON’T condition -let it dry completely, the dryer the better.

-apply arctic fox color to dry hair -leave it on for 2 HOURS (the bottle will say 30 min – this is not enough time) -rinse the color out with the coldest temp you can tolerate (I have nerve damage so I use lukewarm water) – you should be good for 3-4 weeks as long as you do use your normal shampoo in your hair, especially not with a non-color safe shampoo.

Dry shampoo is your new best friend (I love Batiste’s products for this). Shower with a shower cap on if you take daily showers, and when you don’t, rinse your hair out and just use conditioner. I only use actual shampoo in the shower once a week or so.

This is what causes the most fading. If the idea of not shampooing/washing your hair in the shower frequently appauls you, maintainable fashion shades are not for you.

Wow. Just blown away!! I’ve been coloring my hair for well over 30 yrs, but have been different shades of Purples/Pinks for about 3 yrs now; The only 3 brands I ever use/trust are Arctic Fox, IroIro & Punky.

For those saying it dyes everything but their hair, I doubt that seriously, unless you do it wrong: If going LIGHTER, you MUST bleach it first, or yes, it won’t do much of anything. If you already have a naturally lighter color, it will show up, but if you want the EXACT color on the box/label, you’ve got to start w/basically ABSENCE of color, which is basically bleach blonde, & I always use Manic Panic’s AMPLIFIED Flash Lightening (Different than just Flash Lightening, it pulls a bit more color off, especially good for medium/darker browns, etc).

Kind of a no-brainer, actually. As far as ppl saying it gets everywhere: Use your head & PREPARE properly first, & that won’t happen. Use Vaseline around your face, & have PLENTY of old rags/towels laid out (in case of cast-off).

Remove all carpets from bathroom, etc. DON’T rush, & once it’s in your hair, cover it w/a shower cap or even a grocery bag; It helps it work better & also provides protection for anything you may rub against.

And always keep handy some rubbing alcohol (or ashes work, too) for quick clean up of hands, forehead, etc. Invest in some GOOD color refreshing shampoo in your desired color to keep it vibrant!! Really hope this helps.

All I know is that for a LONG time, I’ve somehow been able to do intricate things w/this brand among others, & in VERY bright, vibrant colors, such as ombre going purple, magenta to dark pink. I just don’t understand all the ppl having such issues.

Makes no sense whatsoever to me.

At first, I was really confused by this product. I thought it was just your basic direct dye like the rest of Pravana’s other colors when I bought it. Imagine my surprise when I slathered it on my bangs and rinsed it out thirty minutes later only to find them a darker shade of green rather than black like I wanted.

That’s when I finally paid attention to what the box actually said and saw “additive” printed under the color on the end of the box. After I did some reading, I discovered you’re actually supposed to use this to darken other colors, not use it as a direct dye by itself.

Oops. Now that I know that, I’ve used it since then to darken up the Pravana Neon Green I normally use. It works like a charm getting the darker neon shade I want without diluting the UV reactivity of the neon dye.

The only reason I’m knocking off two stars is due to the packaging not being exactly clear on what this product is for. I had to find this out online. While I joke that I just wasn’t paying attention, I actually did read the instructions and there’s no mention of this that I saw on the instructions printed on the inside of the box.

All it has is the word “additive” in small, barely noticeable print under the color name. It’s easy to miss unless you throughly examine every facet of the box. If it stated that in the same size text as the color name, I think that would be very helpful and make the intention of the product way more clear.

I’ve been dyeing my hair probably longer than you’ve been alive. Hehe. That said, I’ve tried literally everything, and I can tell you that I always go back to Pravana for bright, semi-permanent color.

It lasts a loooong time, can stain almost everything, but again, it lasts a long time and the colors are true to the tube. Keep the color wheel handy because it all depends on how you mix the color with your existing hair color and if it’s pre-lightened, which is recommended.

I’m usually in the blue ranges when it comes to hair color but will occasionally get out of my comfort zone and do a green or a purple like this one. To get around some of the staining, I make a custom color conditioner with 2/3rds conditioner to 1/3 of Pravana.

I like to use a lighter, color safe conditioner and I use it every third shampoo. This will help the color last even longer even between the time I need to re-bleach my roots. I’ve got an esthetician license and I get mine that way, but I’ve seen it on Amazon.

Read all the reviews though and use the Fakespot browser extension to check review legitimacy. I’ve read that they might be selling fake product, so buyer beware.

I personally did NOT like this at all. My hair was already pre lightened to a very very light blonde I would say a number 8/9 and this didn’t take at all. It could be that my hair was a little damaged from bleaching but literally did nothing for me.

Hopefully other people have better results than I did. It was also on clearance at cosmo prof. It was always in stock when I went there too so definitely wasn’t selling a lot. That’s just my opinion tho.

If anyone had different results I would love to know because never know maybe I’ll give it another try. Maybe there’s a trick to it lol.

I absolutely love this! It’s the first time I’ve ever tried this brand. I’m actually pretty impressed. First of all the color is beautiful, bright red. It’s easy to use as you don’t need developer. I have damaged, over processed hair from bleaching and dying my hair purple constantly.

It covered my faded purple very nicely and is lasting a long time. Also it wasn’t strong chemically smelling like others and made my hair really soft. I’m definitely buying this again!.

Oh wow this colour is intense and so beautiful! I am growing out my grey, I have waist length hair, there was a stark root line of my natural dark brown to black growing down so I needed something along the lines of grey to blend in the blonde.

Great deeper red colour. Crazy colour is my favourite semi permanent out of all that I had tried. Its very good value for money and I find that the dye lasts quite a while in your hair. It will fade pretty soon but it’s not so dramatic that you constantly need to touch up your hair.

I’m a lazy dyer so this is the product for me. My hair always feels soft after using this, especially when it previously has been bleached. I usually have long thick hair and use 2 to 4 bottles depending on length but that is still very affordable in comparison to many others because it comes to only about £20.

My hair is currently down to I’d say the middle of my chest and I use 1 and a half bottles.

I have warm ton skin and this was a perfect colour for warm tone skin people. Most reds are cool tone and they don’t match my skin too well but this feels so vivid yet it is like my own colour! It didn’t really stain the bathtub a lot but it did wash off after several showers.

I’m still glad that I got it though!.

I would consider this product to be more like a pink version of virgin snow. I understand tints and light hair dyes work best on platinum hair, BUT, I felt it was advertised more as a fully saturated dye.

It’s my fault that I didn’t look into it more, I assumed it would be thicker and more pigmented. I love manic panic and figured I’d give it a try after 10 years and I gave my hair some time to heal. However, even the fully platinum parts of my hair were just slightly tinted after using two bottles.

From my experience the dye hardly absorbed into my hair I even left it on a bit longer than instructed. I wish it had been advertised more as a pastel toner gel, I’m sad to be writing this review. It’s not a bad product, it just wasn’t as advertised.

Like I said it’s more like virgin snow than a full color, I suggest that they make some adjustments on the sample pictures and description. If you’re looking to SLIGHTLY tint platinum blonde hair to a pastel light neon pink color, then this is for you.

If you’re looking for full saturation, I’d go with one of their darker colors. It really was like a thin gel and hardly stuck to my hair, I understand the less blonde parts not being fully colored, but it was disappointing to have such an underwhelming effect on my super blonde sections.

My hair was left feeling soft, looking healthy and shiny so no complaints there, awesome formula, disappointing color. hopefully I have better luck with a deeper pink.

Absolute garbage hype beast brand. Just a disclaimer, I don’t think I purchased both of my bottles at Ulta, but I did the Violet Dream for sure, and I’ve used them twice in combo now, and I can say with absolute certainty that I will never be buying Arctic Fox again and will try to steer anyone clear that I can.

Save your money, other brands are far better. Even Manic Panic with it’s eternal staining and bleeding will at least actually stick to hair and Ulta carries them. And to be clear: I followed all the instructions.

I was careful that my hair was freshly washed, no conditioner or product whatsoever, dry obviously. I used more dye than necessary just to be safe, wrapped the dyed sections in foil and then bag heat processed the whole shebang.

The end result: I’ve got sections of purple from the Girls Night Out and Violet Dream combo I just applied, I’ve got the old faded green sections from a much better brand in random spots, and one side took completely differently despite being treated the same way so I’ve got one mostly purple streak with green here and there, and one slightly purple, slightly green with some awesome sections with no dye.

Oh yes that’s right. I had sections where the old dye had faded so completely that it was back to platinum blonde. Guess which parts it didn’t stick to? Yeah. Those bits. Bleached but healed platinum blonde.

Covered some sections of green just fine, but apparently a blank slate is a bridge too far for this brand. And yes, they were definitely covered in dye; I went overboard because my first attempt using this brand was laughable results-wise.

Turns out, that’s just how this brand do. I have no idea where all these people that worship this brand are coming from. Are they wearing wigs, is it dyed with another brand? Because there’s no way they’re using this stuff.

It barely sticks to hair, so how are these people getting full, evenly dyed bright hair huh? Super sus.

I am absolutely in love with this semi- permanent hair dye. I did have dark hair and had to lighten it first bc I wanted bright color and not just a tint of color, and I did use the Arctic Fox bleach kit which I will review next.

To get this gorgeous candy apple red color I mixed the colors Poison and Wrath. First off the first thing that I noticed that was different from regular box dye that I used to use all the time is that the Arctic Fox hair dye does not have harsh chemical fumes.

I used to hate when my eyes would burn from the strong fumes from the box dye. The Arctic Fox hair dye doesn’t smell like chemicals at all, instead has a grape candy smell to it which smells so good and leaves your hair smelling good for days after.

This dye was very easy to apply and is very very pigmented. It will stain so be careful with getting it on your skin or clothes. I put some conditioner around my hairline and it didn’t stain my skin whatsoever.

Also it rinsed out very easily and left my hair feeling so so soft even though I had bleached it the night before. With box dye my hair used to feel so dry and look so dull after rinsing the color out.

But with Arctic Fox my hair looked so shiny and felt so smooth and soft, and the color is absolutely stunning. This is def going to be my go to hair dye for a long time bc it was such an enjoyable experience and the results are better than I imagined.

Plus it didn’t stain my tub, it did leave it a little slippery bc of all the conditioning agents but otherwise so so good.

I had put my hair light-medium blonde hair through three days of hell trying to remove a permanent toner that turned my hair a dull gray. Soap cap, baking soda, dandruff shampoo, dishwashing liquid, color remover—you name it.

By the time I was done, my hair was orange. I tried to correct it by putting a dark blonde color over it, but it was still brassy with plenty of red/orange tones. In despair, I drove to the local Walgreen’s and purchased a box of Garnier Extra Light-Ash Blonde 111 (White Chocolate,) hoping that the ash color would take care of the brass.

I applied it, left it on for 30 minutes and prayed. After rinsing and applying the after-color mask, I was ecstatic to see that my hair was a light beige blonde with slightly darker and lighter tones.

I will most likely have to use a purple shampoo to keep the cooler tone of my hair, but I am totally ok with that. I know that there are a lot of negative reviews on here comparing the older formulation to the new, but this was perfect for me.

I tried out the Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Color Crème in a light brown shade. I have naturally dark brown hair with auburn tint in my hair, so I wanted to go a little lighter brown for the summertime.

The kit has everything you need and is super easy to use/apply, which I appreciate as other dyes can be quite difficult to use. It also wasn’t messy at all, which is a huge plus for dying hair in an apartment.

I loved how healthy it made my hair feel after dying, like so smooth and silky. It’s now been three weeks since and my hair is still feeling really healthy. However, the dye color didn’t work on me at all.

You can not even tell I dyed my hair unless I am in the sun, then you can see some highlights that look kind of light !but barely. If anything, it made my hair a little more red tinted than it naturally is, which is kind of strange.

I probably should have used bleach before using this, but the box had a picture of what my hair color would look like after using the dye and it was close enough to the color I wanted. Either this dye isn’t very pigmented or my hair just didn’t take to it at all.

Either way, I have used this dye in the past and had positive results, so it might just be the color I chose this time around.

For years I’m using L’Oreal Superior Preference 9G Light Golden Blond hair color creme. Always excellent, true golden color-tone that lasts me 8 weeks. It was time to color my hair but I couldn’t find this product, so I decided to try Garnier Nutrisse color cream in the shade 93 Honey Butter which described as Light Golden Blond on the box.

Omg! The color turned out ashy (which I hate bc it reminds me of my grey hair) with some weird pink undertone. Whatever grey hair I had – they came out same grey without getting any coverage. The instructions are identical to my favorite L’Oreal color creme, so I couldn’t do anything wrong while using Garnier product.

Appled and waited for 25 minutes, then rinsed it. Eveen remaining true golden color on my hair from last coloring session disappeared and turned into ashy ugly color. I can’t wait now to get rid of it ASAP! I can’t belive this product works for other people.

Waste of time, waist of money, awful results.

I use this for many many years now, and i love it. Even in summer days, the colour lasts amazingly. These four colours are my favourite! Sometimes i combine them and everytime i get another shade of green.

I dyemy hair alone, and i don’t make a mess with it, because it’s creamy. I tried different greens from others, but i will stick with Crazy colors!.

Love the shade of this semi permanent hair dye from Crazy Color! The application is very easy and the final result is amazing. The only bad thing is that I used almost all of the hair dye that’s in one bottle (100ml).

Great product only let down by the hardly readable instructions on the plastic coloured bottle! Why not use a leaflet instead! Even when I tried to use my phone to take a photo then expand, the writing was so small it became distorted!.

I love manic panic so much honestly, so i’ve never dyed my hair before and I was able to choose between manic panic or arctic fox and I’m so glad I chose manic panic. First off it was really easy to apply, we had a little bit of trouble at first because the brush didn’t really fit in the jar and we didn’t really want to use the dye bowl so we just kinda used the glove that was included in the bleach kit and slapped it on and it was really creamy and nice.

After I fully saturated the parts I was dying I still had more than half the container left which is amazing but keep in mind I only did the underside of my hair and my bangs. I slept overnight with it which, yes, it is safe to do that but I had to read up on it so I did that and I put the cap on from the bleach kit and a plastic bag and slept.

When I woke up my hair felt so nice honestly and the dye was still wet, probably because my head sweat or something (gross) but I showered and I noticed that it was a little bit hard to get all the dye out and i wasn’t sure whether i should have shampooed or not but I know when I got I still had color in.

My hair is wavy and I wasn’t sure what it would do so I didn’t put in any products and I just left my hair to dry. My hair didn’t even get frizzy while air drying, It kind of just felt very soft and conditioned and it had lots of volume and I was pleasantly surprised.

Its been around 1 and a half months and It is just starting to fade which is crazy to me and its almost turning into a peachy pink almost. So here are some things i’d like to include, I thought it would be a more purpley-pink color but It turned out to be hot pink which I am not even mad about and I kind of love it more, I wash my hair every other day which I was skeptical about and I thought it would make the color fade fast but it really hasn’t faded fast and if you go longer without shampooing it will probably last you even longer.

Overall I will not be using any other dyes other than manic panic.

I love manic panic in general. Have been using it since I was a freshman in High School and living in Brooklyn. The colors are always vibrant, don’t wash out TOO easily, unless you really want them gone, and easy to apply and saturate well.

I’m 28 now and decided that I really wanted a neon green money piece this summer. My money piece turned a little into a thick money stack, but I love it nonetheless. The color is super vibrant against my platinum blonde hair.

I have gotten numerous compliments on my green hair from young AND old, EVERY single day that I left my house. It was very easy to use this electric lizard semi permanent dye and it saturated my hair evenly.

I was a little worried with how small the jar is but so far I’ve dyed my hair 2 times and I still have 3/5 of them jar left. If I were to do my entire head I would probably need to use the entire jar, however, with the longevity of this color, I think it’s worth the price tag.

If I really wanted to strip my hair of this color, it wouldn’t be too hard to do either. Another cool thing my husband and I just realized last night after I installed new light changing bulbs in our bedroom is that if you have a blue bulb, your hair will glow! Super neat! All in all, I highly recommend Manic Panic, in essentially any color, if you’re looking to spice up your hair for a temp time!.

It works really well as a toner for bright blonde hair. My brightest strands were pretty spot on to what the image shows but most of my hair that was a bit darker dyed to a cool toned blonde. Which was very pretty.

It was almost grey but had more dimension bc of the purple tone. I went to the beach a week later and it washed out almost immediately- luckily my hair was short enough that I saved half of the tub for after.

Would recommend a strand test on each part of your hair(if your hair has different tones). Only negative was that it was very drying for my hair even after leave-in-conditioner. I have 3A curls and fine textured hair.

This is the first time I’ve dyed my hair a bright colour in a very, very long time, so I we with a brand I had good experience with the past. Seeing that Amplified is supposed to last longer, I wanted to give it a go and ordered some online.

Prior to this, my hair was box dyed black and I managed to get it light enough for the dye, though it definitely hurt my scalp a bit and I was worried about the dye further irritating it. To my surprise though, my hair looked insanely healthy afterwards and even the hairdresser was impressed with how healthy it looked after the dye, so they’re definitely not joking when they say it nourishes 🙂 The only downside to this, would be the packaging.

My hairdresser had to really struggle to get the last of the contents in the bottom of the bottle, so if by chance this gets to Manic Panic, I’d recommend using tubs, as you can really use every last scoop, otherwise you are going to seriously struggle here.

My hair is really short, it’s basically a pixie cut with a long fringe and there was barely enough in it to cover my whole head, so it’s a good idea to grab two of these if your hair is shoulder length or longer.

Even if one bottle is enough, if you want to dye it the same colour again, it’s always handy to have a second one ready to go (especially since some other colours run out of stock on here very, very quickly) I absolutely love this hair dye and I’m planning to dye it the same again once it starts to fade out, or even go a light blue but if you have any concerns, I’d say it’s worth giving it a go.

My scalp is incredibly sensitive, but this dye didn’t bother it in the slightest and is honestly my favourite brand now 🙂 (though I do worry what I’m gonna do if beserk stops stocking my favourite colours XD).

I am a natural brunette, growing out bleach since the pandemic. I like the ‘ashy brown with highlights’ look. I was a big Wella T18 (grey toner) fan. but the 20 volume developer required to make it stick, was turning my roots & ends ORANGE! Ugggh.

So, I tried Alien Grey semi at first, but it was subtle & only affected my lighter ends. this Amplified Dark Star worked much better to tone down the brassy warmth. My natural greys were not affected much, but they and the last of my light bits were a nice lavender grey.

And they blend in with the brown hair which is much cooler in tone now. The roots look much better and orange has been tamed! I will add some more later next week and see if I can’t get my brown back to its original neutral tone in a maintenance routine.

But this really helps, if you have ‘orange problems’ or your goal is ashy-purple-brown. Some things, you should leave to a pro, but it was a great quick fix. If I had really saturated it more, it would probably be more dark and cool toned.

If you have light hair it will def show as a lovely silvery lavender grey. I left one bottle on for maybe an hour with plastic cap, no heat, and rinsed with tepid water, no shampoo. Air dry, and give yourself a little conditioning on the ends, not too oily.

I would warn that generally MP colors do rough hair up a little bit – it may be ‘vegan’ product but it is not necessarily a conditioning product. I used a Hask purple conditioner & will use their purple shampoo later.

This is by far my favorite kind of hair color so far. I tried all kinds of brands for colors like this, but this XMondo one definitely is my favorite. My hair feels and looks incredibly healthy and silky smooth after.

The color is super vibrant and after a few washes still looks amazing. It’s very, very potent though, so I would highly suggest using gloves when applying the color, and being very careful to not get it on things.

I’d also recommend wearing a shirt to sleep and having a pillow case that you might not care about that much because the first night before my first “actual” hair wash with shampoo my hair did stain quite a bit, which isn’t a bad thing, just something to be aware of.

With the vibrant and potent color pay off on the hair, this is almost to be expected. I did wash out my hair color in the kitchen sink, just to be sure I am not staining my bathroom. Hairwashes afterwards did not stain anything on my end.

Overall, really awesome product. It’s a lot thicker and creamier than other color brands on the market – and the smell is amazing. Can highly recommend, and I will continue buying this hair color!.

I wanted to love this hair dye so much, but sadly it just didn’t work for me. Based on the reviews of others, I’m guessing it has something to do with my hair. ?? Anyway, here are the problems I had: 1.

Despite Brad’s claims, one pot was not enough for my whole head. I don’t have crazy hair. It’s curly, barely below my shoulders, normal thickness normal density. I got 3/4 of my head dyed before it ran out.

2. Something about the product made my hair feel almost gummy. even when dry. weeks later. It threw off my curl pattern and my hair was not greasy but something was off. I could tell it was the product because the top 1/4 didn’t get dyed so I had a good comparison haha.

My hair has gone back to normal now but I had a month of bad hair days which sucked. 3. Since I ran out of product, I ordered a second pot the day I dyed my hair. By the time the second pot arrived a few days later, (never shampooed, only rinsed with water) the majority of my pink had rinsed out.

4. While parts washed out so fast, I’m left a month later with the weirdest splotches of pink throughout my hair. Like two spots above my ears. so odd. If you’ve used color like this before and you know it works, I bet this product is great! I wouldn’t recommend it if you are new to dying your own hair or if you have natural curls.

Applied this to DRY bleached hair (lifted to pale yellow). Ummmmm how is it that the hair that was bleached is now softer after using this than the hair that I didn’t touch with either? Very impressive.

This product is THICC and I recommend sectioning a decent amount beforehand if you have a lot of fine hair or you’ll miss some spots. It is easy to work with and does not run or drip. The flecks of micah are beautiful and noticeably help reflect light, leaving hair shimmery rather than glittery.

The color is a vivid bright true blue that can seem somewhat teal on yellow hair the first time around. On the first refresh, the blue becomes more true to color. It has less violet in it and is much brighter than Overtone Extreme Blue, and since I used both in my hair, I discovered the color variation between the two products was quite lovely (see photo for color comparison).

The scent, reparative properties, and feel of this product is IMO better than Overtone, which until now had been my number one. If you are a fan of color conditioner and all things blue, XMONDO Super Blue is absolutely essential.

I have never been so impressed with a dark hair dye in my life. I bought the juniper green and used it to dye a chunk of my hair. The texture of the dye itself is very thick, and therefore less likely to drip and splatter.

It smells fantastic, almost like something you would find in an apothecary. I had previously made the mistake of using splat and completely ruining the bathtub, but this dye took maybe a minute before the water ran clear, and what few stains were left behind came out effortlessly with a magic eraser.

Despite the lack of sticking or transferring of dye to skin, this looks FANTASTIC. The color is vibrant and absolutely gorgeous (photos of the dye itself on the website are very accurate), and while I’ve only just done it I’m eager to see how long this lasts.

Not only that, but I used this on freshly-bleached hair and the dye itself made it feel softer and look less damaged. Stunning, impressive, I can’t even begin to dream of going back. Absolutely stellar product.

This is probably one of the worst hair dyes I’ve ever used. I mixed it with the Blue Velvet because I wanted a slightly more blue shade. It came out a little dark and more purple, but that would have been fine if it didn’t get absolutely everywhere.

I dyed my hair back in August and the dye still stains everything. If anything touches my hair, it will stain. And whenever I wash my hair, which is only every couple of weeks because I have naturally coily and damaged hair, more dye comes out.

I rinse until the water becomes clear and it will still stain something later. Up until like a week ago, my fingers still turned blue when I scratched my head. And the worst part is that when I straighted the front of my hair, some of the dye must have come off because some strands turned blonde again.

I still have a full container left because I did a 1:1 ratio with the blue velvet, and I don’t know what I’m going to do with it. The only reason I gave two stars was because the color was pretty.

Dude this is the best and most coverage hair dye I’ve ever used! Even for its size, when I had shoulder length hair hardly even used a full container, now I use 1/3 for my short hair. I tried Arctic Fox before I learned about this and the color would wash out first wash! I have used Lunar Tides over a year now and I’m AMAZED at how long the color holds.

I have naturally thick dark brown hair so to use a product I can put right over without bleaching first is a key thing. Plus it softens my hair and smells good. I’ve used black, blue, green, pink, orange from them so far and I love the way my hair looks and feels and the fading of colors doesn’t look ew either.

Let me preface this by saying that I’ve been doing my hair for fifteen years, and I’ve used Arctic Fox, Manic Panic, RAW, Sparkz, and other brands for most of it. I’m not unfamiliar with the process or how high I need to lighten my hair to get the colors to work.

I bleached my hair to a platinum blonde. Washed it all out. Dried it. And applied both Girls Night and Periwinkle in different sections throughout my hair. It did not color hardly at all. I’m not saying that the color was just light and pastel, I mean that this was barely pigmented and that you could maybe use this as a toner? But that’s it.

Except I wouldn’t even use it as a toner because it only stuck in certain patches, despite applying it evenly. Absolutely awful and very disappointing, especially since I’ve had such great experiences with these brands in the past.

I have always used arctic fox hair dye whenever i dye my hair. I wanted to try the black dye because I did not want permanent black since it takes decades for it to come off. It gave me my results but it was not worth it at all.

My shower was stain purple after washing it out and you will not be able to wear any clothes besides dark colors because it will stain them purple and blue in the back. Unless you have short than that wont be a problem.

I would not recommend this specific hair dye from them.

I can’t ask for anything more from aquamarine. My hair is fairly dark with a balayage that lightens it to medium blonde, with very yellow tones. Aquamarine will fade green on hair that has underlying warmth, simply because the faded blue tints the yellow to produce green.

If you want a true blue on darker hair I recommend adding some purple rain into your mix. I made a very pigmented dark blue and it worked amazingly. I’ve seen people be confused by how adding purple to ‘green’ (faded blue) doesn’t make it muddy.

Just remember it’s still blue dye, just faded. You could add purple to your conditioner as well to tone it in the shower. Purple shampoo might work but likely isn’t pigmented enough. Just sharing these tips because i Love the initial aquamarine colour but don’t love the green on me, and I couldn’t really find advice on how to fix it because people online just point at the colour wheel and tell you purple+green=muddy brown.

Overall I love arctic fox and definitely recommend aquamarine and purple rain.

This is the best I have EVER tried! It lasted longer than Ions Permanent haircolor (used with developer) This requires no daveloper so it is not harmful to your hair, and it lasts a long time. Especially if you only use cool water on your hair and using a color wash shampoo also helps if you really want to keep the vibrancy going but also works well without this.

I have dark hair which had been pre-lightened and it worked great! I went in the salon the next time for more bleaching because I wanted more and they used Ions PERMANENT Purple color with developer and it did not cover as well as Pulp Riot AND IT (ALMOST ALL) WASHED OUT IN THE FIRST SHAMPOO! As did 2 of their other so called permanent colors! But I’m good I got more of this and I will be set! The last time I used after 9 weeks I still had BEAUTIFUL PURPLE COLOR! I have never received so many compliments on my hair in all my life! Please never stop making this I love it!.

My hair has not even a purple tint despite sticking to the instructions and the full exposure time. I think when dyeing everything became purple, except the hair itself. Even after more than a week, color still comes out of the hair when washing and the shower water is purple.

Would not recommend and would not buy again. Very much money for nothing.

I purchased this product as a cost effective alternative to a product that was good but too expensive for the minimum quantity they offered. This hair dye product is more concentrated and therefore easily stretched to the consistency of my previous product with the same results.

In other words, I can make this product last longer for much less – Cha-Ching$$. As a mid-40’s guy, I use it to “fill in” a slightly receding hairline and my goatee (beard) for a natural look once visiting the barber (who is me).

I went to the gym this morning for my AM workout, 10 minute sauna and then showered and was careful not to aggressively rub the ‘colored’ area and lightly pat dry to preserve the coloring. The color appear to be holding up fairly well just be careful with handling it because they recommend using plastic gloves when handling and I know why – it stains easily.

I recommend placing an old towel over your application area to assure your countertops or sink basin does not get stained. This will be my “go-to” hair product secret weapon replacement and I will definitely purchase again.

If you’re looking for great bold colors than KISS semi permanent is for you. Their IG page have great color ideas. I have been using semi permanents since I was sixteen and I’m still a customer til this day.

I recommend this product to any parent who child wants to experience with colors in their had. My go to favorite is always reds and oranges. You can find this product at your local hair stores and probably some big retailers like Walmart and Target.

Works great. When putting it on it will look really dark like your beard is unreal. I learned to let it set for 15-30 minutes then rinse my beard with cold or warm water or even take a shower. After that everything looks normal black.

I use raw coconut oil on my face and beard and bam Im good to go out.

The blues pinks are for life so use with caution! My hair is very faded now but the whole fade process was actually very pretty compared to other dyes I’ve used. Gonna throw in some purple soon. Careful it does stain.

It’s very conditioning. Always buy more than you need to ensure you fully cover and whatever is left just make a leave in conditioner for touch ups. Definitely will be repurchasing. Price is a bit much but first time purchase online you get 25%off.

This product worked wonderfully. I used L’Oreal colorista for brunettes to make a conditioner to put on my hair first. This is a true burgundy plum on medium brunettes. It came out so red I was impressed.

Not that messy imo. My only regret is that this color looks better when I’m pale in winter. Can’t wait to tone it with a true violet. So far Amika violet toning drops are helping make it a bit less extreme.

Great color payoff, environmentally friendly packaging, minimal damage. I did not put conditioner underneath to open my cuticle for scalp oil. Great technique for oily scalps. Love. Bought this from Sally’s it was affordable.

Easy to stretch too.

I love the consistency of this hair dye, it’s not too liquid and not too solid. It smells neutral and is easy to mix and apply. After using it my hair looked very shiny so it’s definitely moisturizing for the hair.

However the colour is not the same as it looks on the package and the swatch. I added a bit of black to mine to make it darker but that didn’t do much. When I washed it after it had been sitting on my hair for the recommended time it looked like a dark burgundy red, it faded a lot with each wash, after a while it turned bright purple.

I actually quite like the colour even though it was not what I was intentionally going for. I do want to warn you: it stains very bad! It looked like a murder scene in my shower, my body turned literally purple.

It did go a away after using regular shower gel but just keep in mind that it can get pretty messy!.

OK so I ordered this product again because although its not a dramatic change it does look nice as a subtle toner. Doesn’t last long and gotta plaster at least half the bottle onto damp shampood hair and leave it in for hours but I’m happy with the result.

Worth it if u just want to take out brassiness without harsh chemicals and obviously it’s great cz it’s vegan. And super fast and free delivery too!.

Easy to use and pleasant smelling. I had lightened hair from the hairdressrs, but it was a very brassy yellow. This peach dye gave it a subtle colour which looked lovely in the sunshine. Lots of positive comments.

Now I want to try something even brighter!.
