Drains often get clogged no matter how careful are about what you wash down them. Less severe problems can be sorted out by using a Liquid Fire drain cleaner. Fire drains are even more susceptible to clogs and blocks because of their placements and the fact that leaves, twigs and other debris gets washed down these fire drains.
Had a few slow drains this week. The other brand we normally hear about just didn’t work. I swear we have a sock or something in the pipes. Lol. This right here is very dangerous, please use with care.
Once we opened up the windows, put on gloves and protective eye wear, we used a little of this. Sat around looked dumb saying this will never work, need a plumber. Well our drains are completely clear! I guess whatever it was that had our drains stopped up from our laundry to our kitchen sink was dissolved using this.
Next time there’s a drain issue, frozen pipes, etc, will use this first. Not posting a pic due to it being in a bag secured. 😨☠ #draincleaner #frozenpipes #sinks #kitchen #plumbing #drains #home #DIY.
Drain was clogged for about 2 weeks tried a lot of other products with no results! Purchased liquid fire used only about 1/4 of the bottle waited 15-20 minutes flushed with cold water. Drain completely unclogged, I highly recommend this product! Easy to follow instructions.

5kg. The usual cause for sluggish drains is a build-up of grease, hair, soap scum or bath oils. Most drain cleaners require 2 to 6 hours (or overnight) for results. THRIFT will liquefy hair and grease in less than 60 seconds! HOT water activates THRIFT’s dry, odourless crystals.
Within 60 seconds the drain is clear – even on the most difficult drain blockage.
My daughters tub and sink have been clogged on/off for 3 years. Tried everything at lowes and Walmart. Didnt work. Took a chance on this, bought the 2 lb bottle and used half of it but it worked. Definitely recommend it.
Make sure to use HOT water or it wont work. I brought the water to a semi boil. Dont breathe the fumes either.
After researching drain cleaners, I decided to go with this product due to its good reviews and all those reviews were correct. My bathroom sink drains and shower drain were draining so slow that water was actually accumulating in the sinks and shower within seconds of running water.
I followed the directions on the bottle, which were extremely easy to understand, and within minutes all of the sinks and tub were draining perfectly. And since using the product for the first time 6 months ago, the drains are still draining perfectly so this drain cleaner is not a quick fix.
My only advice is wear glasses and plug your nose when pouring out the product. If air particles get in your nose or eyes, it will sting; nothing life threatening, but it is not a good feeling. You should probably also wear gloves, but I have not used gloves and simply wash my hands thoroughly with soap and water afterwards and have not experienced any issues on my skin.
In the end, this is the only drain cleaner that I will be purchasing from here on out and you should do the same.

I’ve been buying this product for the past 3 yrs and absolutely love it. I use it mostly for soap making, but when we have slow or stopped up drains it works very well. It’s hard to find pure lye anywhere in stores.
It’s available online, but the shipping cost usually doubles the product cost. Tractor Supply is the only local place that carries it where I live. The price is great, even compared to online prices at other retailers.
Highly recommend for clogged, slow drains and for making homemade soap!.
This is by far the best drain opener I’ve used for the toughest of clogs. Works on grease hair food you name it. Just be careful and be sure to follow the directions as it can cause severe burns if not used properly.
Thrift Drain Cleaner 3 products in 1 bottle. For drains, grease traps and septic systems. Will not harm fine fixtures, porcelain, chrome trim, polished brass, metal or plastic pipes. Instant results.
Activated by Hot water only. Use in small drains, bath tubs, shower drains, bathroom and kitchen sinks. Do not use in toilet bowls, garbage disposal side of kitchen sink or drains with standing water (if drains are completely clogged, use a snake or cable to allow an air hole in the drain before using).
Only works with Hot water. Observe all cautions as listed on label.
The kitchen sink was totally stopped up; even use of a plunger made no difference. After receiving Thrift Granular Drain Cleaner excess water was removed from the sink. Following directions on the container the right amount of granules was put in the drain and boiling water added.
The resulting surprise was that the water level in the sink increased substantially and I was initially disappointed that the cleaner didn’t work, so I walked off and left the standing water. After maybe a half hour I returned to the sink with the plunger and discovered the drain was open! Apparently the ingredients in the granules swelled in the drain (causing the water level to rise) and ‘ate through’ the stoppage.
Wow! I’ll be using Thrift on the suggested maintenance to keep drains open and clear. No need to call a plumber after using Thrift.
Thrift is lye in pebble form. Thrift was almost solely and still is primarily available in plumbing supply shops. There is a reason for that. This stuff works! Water must be flowing so handle it before it is 100% clogged.
Be sure to heat the pipes and it’s better to use boiled water to pour in after you put it in the drain. The hotter the water the better it works, but hot tap water will work also. It will not eat the pipes like sulfuric acid.
You can get lye mixed with aluminum powder at any hardware store, but I prefer this. There are some videos on Youtube.
K-97 Main Line Cleaner is a concentrated bacterial waste-degrading product designed to clean main sewer pipes of fats, grease, sludge and paper without the use of harsh, aggressive or dangerous chemicals.
K-97 should be used in every household, whether on a septic system or city sewers. One bottle, twice a year, will keep the main line free of unwanted build-up and prevent back-ups during heavy water use.
K-97 Main Line Cleaner should also be used in the new low-flow water-saver toilets to maintain a clear sewer pipe. K-97 is ideal for the undersized septic tank that is currently overworked. Main Line Cleaner naturally breaks down waste, digests paper, fats and grease in main sewage lines, Ideal for low flow toilets, safe for all pipes and the environment.
K-97 Main Line Cleaner attacks the accumulated material and quickly restores proper flow, keeping lines problem free. Main Line Cleaner also reduces sewage build-up in septic tanks. K-97 is economical and easy to use.
I was using Instant Power Shock to open up the leach field. Which one plumber said without seeing it just based on what i told him that was the problem. While it help some and drained my bank account a lot (close to 150.
00) it did not cure the problem. The septic I have was put in the 1920’s in an old dry well. The leach field lines were replaced in the early 2000’s and things were going ok until about January. Then drains started running slow.
Toilet is on 2nd floor. If you flushed it gurgled in kitchen sink on 1st floor. Shower next to toilet was running slow to drain. I pumped every thing I could to loosen it up. Zep shower and bath is great, but did not completely solve the slow run.
Checked and had no hair as I have a drain catcher for that. Then the kitchen sink after a shower would have about 2 inches of water in the double sink come up. It went down after about 5 minutes. So I got on computer and researched.
From what I found I had a main line clog from having a low flow toilet and using RV toilet paper which is supposed to be quick dissolving but is thicker than other paper. So I went to Lowes at 16. 00 a bottle and got 2.
After the first 4 days it was amazing how it acted. Did the second bottle but only did 2 days worth and put half bottle down both times. Now my shower is a lot faster and you can actually hear it running down in the pipes now.
Toilet flushes and makes a swoosh sound. No more backing up water in kitchen sink and no more gurgling when toilet flushes. So then after all this money and mess and time spent I found this on Walmart at almost 8 dollars a bottle cheaper.
Ordered 6 and plan to do one bottle a month. Every Sunday night put 1/4 of the bottle down the drain and use as maintenance. If I could give this 10 stars I would because after everything I have done this is the only one that worked and did it quick.
It is an enzyme and safe for pipes and old plumbing which is smaller than the modern day pipes I was told. I don’t care about size I just want it to work with what I got. This does it. I am so happy.
The owner of the property which happens to be my mother (86) will not spend a dime if she does not have to on anything. So when I told her I was having septic problems she just shrugged her shoulder and told me to figure it out.
I do not know what I would have done had it not done the trick. I do not have money out the ears. She does so she could have it worked on if needed, but since she does not live here she does not care.
So if you have a landlord like this try this. Please as a last resort try this. I also changed my toilet paper to Scott’s one ply. I found it was rated one of the highest for septic tanks. I also put some in a mason jar and watched it break apart.
So now I know that is the one I need for that. Been one full week of everything acting fine.
Made my bathroom drains drain faster — after adding it to the toilet! It really works. The caustic chemical drain products could only do so much. Sure, they worked for the hair and grease clogs, but this product gently removed the OTHER crud that other products couldn’t.
I figure I will be keeping both types of product on hand now. One bottle of Mainline split over four nights is supposed to clear the lines of crud all the way down to your septic tank. On the first night, late, when I knew that no one would be running water or flushing the toilet for several hours, I shook up the bottle and poured 1/4 of it into the toilet and flushed ONCE.
Used bathroom as normal the next morning. Repeated each night until the bottle was empty. This stuff needs to get into the plumbing and be left alone for 6+ hours. It contains live bacteria which need time to do their job.
They break up deposits of organic matter or “crud” in your drainage pipes, so waste water moves faster through the cleaned out pipes. Four nights gives them a chance to do their work. Just in case, for four days I avoided using any other chemicals (harsh cleansers, Draino, bleach, etc.
) which might interfere with the live bacteria doing their job. The manufacturer didn’t say to do this, but I wanted to help these live bacteria do their best work for as long as possible. I did do some laundry with detergent during the daytime, but detergent is biodegradable.
I repeated this for a total of four nights, and the pipes are running faster, the drains are draining better, and I am sold on this product! Manufacturer suggests repeating every six months. Used carefully, I think a four-night treatment once a year might be sufficient for my needs — I will keep an eye on it.
Be very careful using this product. It did not unclog my sink and then I had to take it apart with this in it. The product turns into a black chemical that is HOT! Of coarse you should always be careful when using chemicals but this was def a little more than the normal stuff you use as I stuck something down the drain to see if I could unclog it manually after the chemical had sat for a bit and the object came out of the drain black and HOT.
Clear up your drains and pipes regularly with the help of the Instant Power Hair Clog Remover. This product is specially formulated to dissolve stoppages in tubs, sinks or shower basins. It is particularly useful for pet parents, especially in multi-pet households where the accumulation of fur and hair after baths can be a periodic problem.
The Instant Power drain cleaner is safe for use of both metal and PVC pipes and septic tanks, though it has the power to clear even the toughest of clogs. It is easy to use and is suitable for both commercial and residential applications.
The first time I bought this (a few years ago) it was out of desperation! I’ve tried all the expensive drain cleaners over the years with little luck so this time around I went the less expensive (cheap) route and bought a bottle of Instant Power Drain Hair Clog Remover.
I put it in my problem bathroom sink and let it sit overnight, not expecting results and the next morning I flushed the drain with hot water and the clog was gone! I couldn’t believe it! To say I was excited to have finally found a drain cleaner that actually works and costs less than the majority is an understatement! Since then I’ve used it on my shower/tubs numerous times with fantastic results and my kitchen sink which drained slow for a couple years! Not anymore! I started feeling confident enough about this product that I stopped using the entire bottle each time, half a bottle does the trick and I also don’t leave it sit overnight each time either.
The time recommended on the bottle is usually enough to clear the pipes. So even more savings for me. I highly recommend this product. I will never use another brand again, this stuff is the real deal!.
this stuff is a god send!! my roommate has super thick hair that goes down past her waist. we have a shower drain plug that’s supposed to catch any hair but i guess she just has too much hair so it’ll still get into the drain.
but since it’s so long, it gets tangled up and blocks the drain. i am SO squeamish and i gag just thinking about how nasty it was. bought this stuff on a whim and didn’t expect it to work bc it was so cheap but it worked perfectly.
it’s been a couple months since i used it and we have yet to have another hair clog. i left it a couple hours longer than the directions said bc i didn’t know how deep the clog went and it didn’t damage anything from me leaving it for too long.
just remember to thoroughly rinse your tub/shower after using this stuff bc it can.
Worked flawlessly in one hour. Amen to that! I’ve been using vinegar, dawn dishsoap and baking soda for a month. Clog didn’t budge and I was just sick of taking showers with the water pooling around my ankles.
I followed the instructions, in one hour I put 2 tea kettles of hot water down the sink. I worked outside for 2 hours, came in, checked to make sure water would drain and woo-hoo! Shower time! I made sure I had proper drainage before jumping in – would not want caustic chemicals burning my skin if it didn’t work.
To be honest I have not used this particular product, but the concept is the same and worked well on our boat. We had a feminine product stuck in a PVC toilet drain tube that ran probably 30 feet to to a holding tank at the back of the boat, no idea how to get to it.
I took a hose and snubbed it down the toilet and cranked it up. The pressure built up and then. woosh everything went through and everything was fine. Checked for leaks, none. Method also worked on a boat cockpit sink clog.
Not sure how well this idea works in the home – probably gets the job done as well – but on boats or RVs it’s something to consider. I think on these vehicles a plumbing clog tends to be a lodged item rather than sludge build-up.
I bought one of these a few years ago. It helped unclog two or three serious drain blockage problems. Today, though, it proved useless. The clog is too thick or too stiff or too far down the system or something.
Using this just causes my toilet to start gurgling and bubbling. So it worked great for small clogs near the drain, but more serious clogs further down, it did nothing at all.

Yes, I would recommend this product the product specifically labels what it’s to be used for, how to use it, how long to use it, and what to do after it’s done being used. I followed the directions and saved myself from having to call the plumber it’s been a year and a half since my drain has clogged like this and it went down beautifully.
I would recommend this product all day. Great job Drano. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
This drain cleaner worked wonders for my bathroom sink. It only took one bottle and is now good as new. Disclaimer: I have very hard water and could tell the slow drainage was due to buildup. There was nothing else clogging the drain.
Formulated thick to dissolve the toughest clogs fast. Pours through water straight to the clog. Has a special ingredient to protect pipes from corrosion. Safe for plastic, PVC, metal pipes, garbage disposals, and septic systems.
We usually use Instant Power Hair and Grease cleaner and have probably spent several hundred dollars on that stuff over the last few years. My wife and daughter shed a lot of hair and our drain is constantly being clogged.
We’d use the Instant Power stuff on a regular basis whenever the drain started slowing down. My wife went to ACE to buy some and couldn’t find it, but she found the Root Professional Liquid Drain Opener instead.
The employee she talked to said that this stuff was “basically the same”. Not reading the instructions, she poured in the same amount that she usually puts in for the other product. The results were overwhelming! Immediately we smelled a nasty stench that wafted throughout the entire 3000 sq ft home.
It was then she looked at the instructions and realized she used a massively larger dosage than she should have. Nonetheless, the drain has been open and free flowing for several months now. I guess there was a lot of hair in the drain! Just be careful and wear gloves! I’m a physician and my undergraduate degree is in chemistry.
sulfuric acid is some strong stuff. If it can dissolve hair, it can dissolve other organic matter (ie flesh). There are some claims here that it damaged counter tops and chrome sinks. I’d suggest you pour the prescribed amount directly into the drain without splashing it.
You should be fine, but no guarantees. If you have expensive stuff, call a professional.
I’m a handyman, and I occasionally gets calls from people to unclog their drains. Sometimes I encounter a tough clog which is difficult to clear even with professional drain cleaning tools. I used this to unclog a tough clog in a bathtub drain with my tools.
I put a small amount in the bathroom sink, and in the tub, then waited until until I saw the water rumbling. The smell isn’t as bad as other brands which I’ve used in the past. The water started to drain slowly.
This chemical requires water to work but don’t use too much water or it will get diluted. After a few minutes I added a little more, and used my air powered drain cleaning tool to completely clear the line.
Run the water for a few minutes after it’s unclogged so that it will purge any debris which is left in the line.
So after 2 huge jugs of liquid plumr and a 10ft snake not able to reach my kitchen sink clog, this did it. Was so close to buying a 25 ft snake but glad I didn’t. If you have an alkaline based drain cleaner in, be very careful this could melt the P-trap.
Just put in little bits at a time and use a wet towel under the sink to keep the p-trap cool. I put in 4oz at a time and added a full 32 ounces before being brave enough to run the water and discover the clog was totally gone! Probably could have used less but didn’t want to risk it.

Kitchen sink clogged from grease and debris after making greasy BBQ and washing some of the utensils (double sink with disposal). I tried the home remedies ( vinegar and soda, salt, and just hot water) but it just would not unclog (both sides filled with greasy water).
The last straw before having to take apart the sink was this stuff, thankfully some kind delivery person at Walmart rushed my order and brought it over same day. I poured one whole bottle into the sink, about half in each side.
The sink bubbled very slightly, but after about a half hour it stopped and the clog remained unchanged. I ran the hot water again, filling it more, hoping it would help. No change. However, the mixture is the sink did bubble up like soapy froth.
I took this as a sign it might be doing something and waited about 15 more minutes- nothing. I decided to try the plunger method one last time. I put on my long plastic gloves, scooped out some of the frothy water and dumped it in the bathtub (rinsed after), until I only had about 4 inches of water left in each side of the sink.
I capped one drain with one hand and plunged with the other, alternating several times until I noticed large pieces of debris coming up on one side. Progress! After about 20 mins of plunging, the clog burbled loose.
Everything works smoothly now and the drains look shiny clean. It did take some work on my part but the Liquid Plummer did help break down the grease quite a bit, and I didnt have to take apart the sink.
My tub was stopping up terribly. Bought 2 bottles of this and poured down the drain followed by 2 large pots of boiled water and it worked well, but needed to use the second bottle for a bit more gusto.
The first bottle I left for 40 minutes then followed with boiled water in 20 minute increments. The second bottle I left for two hours, then poured another pot of boiled water down the drain. Left it alone for one hour and tested the tub with the pipe water.
No more stopping up. Great stuff. Will definitely use again.
Used as directed, 1/5th bottle at a time but LIQUID PLUMBER “Clog Destroyer Plus” failed to budge spaghetti clog in kitchen sink with disposal. Prior to using LIQUID PLUMBER, scooped all but 1 inch of water that filled the kitchen sink after running a bowl full of leftover spaghetti through the garbage disposal.
To protect the small appliance and pipes, we only use disposal for soft foods. As a rule, only foods that can be easily chewed are eligible for the sink and waste disposal. We never pour cooking oils and fats down the sink.
It came to a surprise when a few cups of leftover pasta stopped water from draining. To avoid chemicals, we started with a sink plunger, followed by boiling water and repeating with plunger. Before running out to buy LIQUID PLUMBER, followed various Internet instructions to use vinegar and baking soda.
After several failed attempts, we headed to the big box store for commercial drain cleaners. Now, several plumbers have refused to tangle with a sink that has 80 ounces of LIQUID PLUMBER in it. Astounding that LIQUID PLUMBER isn’t able to cut though soft spaghetti noodles but sufficiently caustic to scare of registered plumbers.
If one won’t a gree to come soon, we’ll need to buy a pipe wrench and auger for a DIY job. NEVER AGAIN, LIQUID PLUMBER.
Enzymatic drain cleaner ends slow drains. Safe for all pipes and septic systems. Environmentally safe, USDA approved. Prevents clogs by cleaning and removing build-up. Regular use keeps pipes clean. Jar provides 50 treatments.
Female home owner here, and I’ve been on my own for years, so I’ve had to learn to fix, fend, mend and tend EVERYTHING a home, or yard, calls for over time. I’ve installed two faucets the last 10 years, and have pulled every pipe from beneath my sink to clear pipes and repair leaks, so having a container of ZEP Crystal Drain Cleaner “on hand” can be a life-saver to have handy for quickly clearing your sink pipes.
Easy to use. simply pour some in your drain, add a little hot water behind it, a little smoke may ooze out of the drain, but that’s simply the chemicals “doing their thing” — wait about 15 minutes, followed by a cold water rinse and VOILA, back to life, as usual.
Not every product does that for me. I’ve tried everything offered out there for sink clogs, and these work IMMEDIATELY, without fail. Not just as a homeowner, but as a female homeowner. you can’t put a price on PEACE OF MIND.
I highly recommend these hard-working little granules. No reservations!.
I first bought this in 1990 when I bought my first house. A lady lived there with long hair and it was thick in the drains. The plumber opened my drains but they were still slow so after that I took his advice and used this stuff.
Back then it was called Drain Care and you still see the old blue/red labelled stuff today, thou Zep is changing the name. Follow the directions and make sure you put it down the drain at night or when you are leaving for 8 hours minimum.
If you use the drain before then it won’t have a chance to work, you’ll flush it down.
I’ve been using an enzyme drain cleaner since I bought my first home in 1974. If your drain is severely clogged, you need a plunger and/or a plumber. If you still have flow, and the patience to wait a couple months, it will slowly eat the grease, hair and scum in your pipes completely.
This is a maintenance product, NOT A CLOGGED DRAIN REMEDY. I like to put it down the sink and tub drains before I leave for vacations and let it do it’s job while I’m gone. It’s creates the same conditions that eat the solid bio waste in your septic tank.
Invade Bio Drain is a scum eating citrus oil that breaks down bacteria that can cause clogs in drains and eliminate drain flies. It can be used daily and only requires water. With a thick syrupy consistency, it sticks to the walls of the drain and the product begins to break down the organic matter present.
Each application of Invade Bio Drain requires only four ounces.
The most recent batch I purchased (second one), seemed watered down compared to the first batch. I’ve been fighting these pesky flies for a couple months or so and I am somewhat pessimistic about this product.
If it doesn’t work this time, I will try a different product. So far,it’s not looking good for bio drain. Couple doses left and although it has helped some, I still have an issue.
Get the power to clear clogs with Liquid-Plumr Industrial Strength Gel. Whether your drain is fully blocked or slow-running, Industrial Strength Gel restores a clean, clear flow even clogs caused by soap scum don’t stand a chance.
This drain cleaner works effectively throughout your home, in showers, tubs, bathroom sinks, kitchen sinks and garbage disposals. With regular use, it also helps keep drains free of buildup and helps prevent future clogs.
Industrial Strength Gel is safe for all septic systems, garbage disposals and pipes, including PVC, plastic, copper and old pipes. Do not use with a plunger, in toilets or with ammonia, toilet bowl cleaners, or non-Liquid-Plumr clog removers (to avoid hazardous gas).
It contains biodegradable surfactants and no phosphorous. Excessive heat or cold may cause Liquid-Plumr to form clumps, but this should not affect its performance.
I had an issue with clogged drains because of long female hair that kept getting stuck and clumped together in the master bath sink. Nothing seemed to help, except the occasional snake that would get a couple clumps out every so often.
I finally decided to get the Liquid-Plumr gel for the job. I immediately appreciated the gel because it wasn’t messy and I was able to get it right to the spot it needed to go. I also though the 42 oz was a great size to have available in the house for the couple of extra jobs I had.
I have a habit of letting grease and oil drain into the kitchen sink when I’m in a hurry, until I realize that it’s getting caught in the pipes. Thankfully, the industrial strength Liquid-Plumr has done a good job at clearing those clogs with the gel, hot water, and gravity! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.
This product literally shocked us all! We were used to trying every type of drain cleaner for our clogged sink over the past 3 years, and quickly realized there was nothing on the market to do the job.
Once I was contacted to try Liquid-Plumr Industrial Strength, I thought “why not”? Took it home and literally poured the suggested amount down our drain and within 2 minutes (!!) the clog dissolved and we were absolutely floored! Since trying this Liquid Plumr Industrial Strength product, we’ve never purchased anything else to take its place.
Super happy campers! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review. jaxevansaz.
This product is highly durable This product adds a great value This product is manufactured in United states THRIFT works on drains, sewer lines, grease traps, and septic systems. THRIFT will clean out a drain line in less than 60 seconds!.

So glad Walmart carries this in the store. HomeDepot used to carry something similar but no longer. A pressurized gas based method like CLR Power Plumber is the best way I have found to unblock SLOW drains.
I have tried several methods such as the usual drain opener gels and liquids, even strong chemicals like lye. They only helped increase the flow a bit but not clear up fully. I think because if the clog is somewhere in the line instead of the U trap, the chemicals don’t effectively get a chance to remove the partially clogged slow drain pipe.
I was able to clear my slow drainpipe which is a common drain line for my dish-washer and clothes-washer. My problems started with slow draining which sometimes caused the water to spill out of the laundry drain standpipe hookup during large surges of water drained from the appliances.
With this product a few pumps is super powerful and helped unplugging of the blockage which I am guessing was about 30 feet away at least. Took about 10 seconds after filling the kitchen sink with water and blocking off one of the two drains.
After the job was done, I could see odorless gas / fogging exiting from the drain – assuming it was some kind of gas or air or nitrogen and condensation due to the gas expanding and getting very cold inside the drain I guess.
I’ve kept a spare at home now – everyone should have one for emergencies!.

I tried Liquid-Plumr Foaming Clog Destroyer on a slow flow sink, because my usual product was sold out. The issue is unkown, but believed to be large objects getting stuck in the drain, slowing the flow.
This product did absolutely nothing for me. Not even a temporary fix. I bought Liquid-Plumr Urgent clear (the product I usually use), the next day and worked like a charm. Honestly, I don’t know if this product is good for any specific issue, but Urgent Clear has worked for me for many different types of clogs on both Tubs and sinks in houses and apartments without any issues at all.
And Urgent clear is much faster than this product. I would advise this company to ditch this product and produce more Urgent Clears.
I’m sure I’m like many other people who have purchased this product. I was seduced by the double action it promised! If two ingredients have to be kept separate, then when you finally do mobile them there must be some big effect, right? Something powerful enough to smash through anything that could possibly be clogging my bathroom sink drain! Yeah, wrong! This Liquid Plumber Foaming Pipe Snake a Clog Remover did absolutely nothing for my clogged bathroom sink drain.
See they name it something like “pipe snake” to make you think it’s as good as the tools a plumber uses, but at a fraction of the cost of a house call. I think that’s pretty awful. In no way does this stuff snake out your drain.
It didn’t even budge the clog in mine. On top of being disappointed, I had to face my laughing husband ( who actually is a plumber) when my easy miracle cute didn’t work at all. I had been asking him to fix the sink drain in our bathroom for about a week when I picked this stuff up Ina run to the store.
I was sure I was going to prove him wrong and show him that even if he couldn’t make time to fix stuff around the house for me, well I could just figure it out myself. Nope. I sure couldn’t. This stuff was a total waste.
I purchased Liquid-Plumr Foaming Pipe Snake Clog Remover for my mother. She had a clogged shower drain and this was the first product I saw in the store. I followed the directions and poured a little less than half of the bottle down the drain.
Since it was a very clogged drain most of the liquid was visible in the tub. I waited for 30 minutes for the liquid to work it’s way through the clog. I came to see that the liquid was still in the tub.
I decided to give it an hour and come back to check on it. An hour later and the liquid had went down the drain. I ran some water in the shower to see if the clog had been eradicated. After running water for a couple of seconds the liquid came right back through the drain.
I left the drain alone for 24 hours. The following day I poured the rest of the solution into the tub and left it alone for the entire day. I came back to the tub about 12 hours later to see if the solution had made progress.
Nothing had changed and the liquid was still sitting in the tub. I wouldn’t recommend Liquid-Plumr Foaming Pipe Snake Clog Remover.

The Drano Professional Max Gel Clog Remover has not left my cupboard since I bought it until today! My savior during my most desperate hour. I got home from a long day with an overwhelming urge to poo.
Now let me tell you something, this was the biggest poo I have ever taken. I swear it’s like I gave birth to feces child straight into this toilet. It simply would not go down. I tried everything around me until I came across the 3.
79L bottle of Drano Professional Max Gel Clog Remover way in the back, under my sink. This stuff works miracles. After pouring a generous amount of Drano Professional Max Gel Clog Remover straight into the toilet I left it to soak for about 10 minutes and it started decomposing my excrement almost immediately.
I gave it one final flush and lo and behold! Gone! Not a trace of my sins had been left behind. Thank you Drano Professional Max Gel Clog Remover for helping hide the evidence in a extremely timely fashion, before my family got home to see it.
I highly recommend Drano Professional Max Gel Clog Remover for any and all of your drainage needs.
I can’t emphasize this enough – READ and follow the directions. I used it in our tub that was draining very slowly. I first removed all the hair gunk I could reach with a pair of twizzers then slowly poured in half the bottle.
I let it set 30 minutes then rinsed it with HOT water for about 2-3 minutes. Drain now works good as new. Just remember that there are clogs that may be impossible to remedy without a licensed plumber.
It happens so have reasonable expectations. This works on “regular” hair clogs that have accumulated over a few years. Clogs caused by other stuff such as grease or foreign objects may not respond. The clog could also be in a location that Drano may not be able to reach.
This product works best on hair clogs that exist right past the drain.
Power through slime and grime with this dual-action drain cleaner. It simultaneously dissolves clogs and liquifies the hardened grease and scum to which hair and food attach. Use it in all your home’s sinks, showers and tubs to keep water flowing and drains clean and fresh.
What You Get (2) 32 fl. oz. Professor Amos SuperFast Drain Cleaner Good to Know.
I’ve used this product for 4 yrs. when my drains are slowing down or almost clogged completely. It’s the best you’ll find anywhere. When I first saw it advertised on TV I told me husband that I was going to order it and he said, no don’t do that because it’ll be no better than Liquid *******.
I snuck and ordered it. Not long after that my husband said, I’m going to have to work on the kitchen and bathroom drains again or call a plumber because they’re slowing down, I’ll do that on my day off.
I used the Professor Amos Super Fast Drain Cleaner without him knowing it. The next day he said, I don’t know what has happened but the drains are opened up and working great again. I didn’t say anything I just went and got a bottle of the drain cleaner and held it up.
He said, is that what opened them and I said YES. He smiled and said, you’ve made a believer out of me. I haven’t called a plumber for my drains ever since I started using this product. It’s the best and cheaper than a plumber’s fee just to come out much less run a snake and open it.
I was skeptical of all drain cleaners and thought the only way to affectively clear a clogged drain was to hire a professional plumber. We decided to give Professor Amos Super Fast Drain Cleaner a try after seeing it on QVC, and it worked amazingly.
It was as simple as following the directions and WHOOSH our drain cleared out. We even used a little less than what was recommended on the bottle and still had great results. For heavily clogged drains I recommend that you keep the product in overnight and flush with very hot water.
All drain clogs and plumbing situations are different, but hopefully you have the same results as us.
Works fast no chemical smell. A month after moving into our home The pipes started backing up. Bathroom sinks, shower stall, followed the directions on bottle. After a short time water started to drain.
