20 Best Dove Body Wash Men (2023 Updated)

I have used dove invisible solid powder scent for over 15 years. It was the only deodorant I could wear and feel confident all day. Recently I noticed a night and day change in your product. If its a new formula, it truly is terrible.

I use to be able to wear your product all day without reapplying, now I can’t make it past noon without having to reapply and even then I am very self conscious throughout the day. I truly am sad that this product doesn’t work effectively anymore.

Changed the formula for the Invisible Solid Powder Fresh. Will you stop changing things Dove? I cannot use the new formula. It breaks me out and it is not invisible anymore. You changed the Dove Moisturizing Body Wash and I used the new body wash one time and was dry and itchy.

I had to find another body moisturizer to help my dry skin. Now I will have to find a new deoderant. ** Everything doesn’t have to be vegan, plant based, gluten free, etc. What next? You will change your famous bar soap to be plant based? Dove was a reliable product but I am not so sure anymore.

The stick goes on smoothly and works for about a month. Then the problem starts when you take a shower it’s impossible to wash off the residue. It feels like a tacky waterproof film that soap can’t penetrate.

At least Dove soap is not strong enough. I just tried Dial and that wasn’t strong enough. I tried shampoo thinking it is meant to breakdown the oils in your hair. I am about to get some vinegar from the kitchen and stopped to vent my frustration.

This was the first and last time I buy.

I have used Dove Men Care body wash for a few years, and enjoy the product. Looking forward to the new botanical versions. But I still wish that product came in a better bottle! Why must the opening be at the BASE of the container? This leads to leaking, and the inconvenience of snapping the bottle closed before placing it back on the shower shelf.

Please consider more practical packaging! thank you.

Usually I use Dove Men body soap, but noticed my skin was kind of dry and wanted to try something else. I noticed this product that said it was new. I like the fresh/woodsy scent. It is relaxing and doesn’t feel like it dries my skin out.

I wish there were other products by Dove Men that used this scent (deodorant/shampoo). I’m happy with my purchase.

This body wash has a fresh and pleasant scent. I purchased this blindly (online and based on reviews) for my husband, but really for me because I prefer mild scents. What I like most about this scent is that it’s soft enough for me, which I discovered when it was the only soap in the shower.

I did not give it five stars only because the scent, though very pleasing by nose against the open bottle, is barely detectable after bathing.

I’ve used the previous version of the product for years, and it was the only one that worked for me — especially in the colder months, when my eczema flares up. The new formula just does not work. It’s like any generic body wash out there.

This used to be your differentiating product: for people with dry, allergic skin, in particular, this one was among the very few (if any) products that worked. If you want to change packaging to keep it fresh — sure; but don’t change the formula because of some commercial motives when you have loyal customers who depend on it.

Bring the previous formula back.

Although I have not personally tried the men + care products, you can’t go wrong when it comes to Dove brand! I do purchase them for my fiance and he been using the body wash for at least 2 years. Once and awhile I will switch it up and get a different type or fragrance of the men + care body washes, but this one seems to be his ‘go to’ He says that using this body wash and applying the Check Meowt Cosmetics brand cocoa butter lotion or body butter is the perfect combination for his dry skin.

He says those 2 products would be his first 2 choices to have with him stranded on a deserted island. You’d think food n water would be 1st, that’s how dedicated he is to this body wash. that’s a man for ya hahahahaha.

I used to absolutely love this body wash with the previous formula and scent! That scent was my favorite of any of the others out there and the wash really helped with my dry skin. I’ve consistently purchased this product since around 2014-2015 and the formula hasn’t changed during that time up until recently (to my knowledge).

As far as the new formula – I don’t mind it for cleanliness – it’s ok, but nothing impressive. Definitely not at all a fan of the new scent however. Smells more like just plain soap.

This body wash smells nice and works well. Nice large bottle, too. My teenage sons use it daily!

Love this lightly moisturizing body wash. It smells great and makes my skin feel clean. Just don’t let it sit in your butt too long it starts coolong like icee hot!

At last I make a simple mistake, it is able to get its tentacles on me, and just as it’s about to devour me whole it would stop and say, “oh wow you smell like a REAL MAN, at last I can not eat you for it would be a true crime to not allow others to smell the alluring scent of crushed cloves, cinnamon sticks, crisp pine, and zesty orange and your skin so soft, oh so soft and silky, is that Shea butter?” I wink and nod yes.

As it swam away it would stop one last time, wave and bid me safe travels. I will be buying another one in the future.

My boys love this. I’m going to write this same review for all of the dove products. I LOVE DOVE!. It always smells amazing and leaves skin feeling soft. It’s gentle. Gentle enough for even children.

My house is filled with dove products and I always recommend them to friends and family also buy dove for gifts. You really can’t go wrong with dove honestly I prefer it over almost everything ! Also has an amazing price on all products.

I received this Dove Men’s +care Purifying Charcoal and Clove face and body wash from #topboxcircle and #dove for free to try and review. My husband likes the smell, not only it was great but lasted for a longtime without being overpowering.

The micro-beads gently exfoliate the skin and makes you feel much cleaner, while leaving it nice and soft. When my teenage son discovered this body wash it was a game change for him. Believe me, you don’t want to be around my son after his soccer practice.

This body wash cleans nicely all the dirt, eliminates odors, leaves his skin soft. But most important he doesn’t need to worry about breaking out, like with many other body washes. Only cons is that I wish there was a pump.

I already bought another bottle for my son, to keep him away from our shower. It’s a great product, my boys reccomend it to try.

I had both men in the house try this product when recieved. The first man tried it first thing when he woke up in the morning. He has sensitive skin and found this did not act up his skin at all and he also loved the smell of it.

The second one tried it when he got home from work; which he works construction. He found it was easy to remove dirt with the girttiness but didnt not scrap his skin or leave marks. He also found it did not leave a film feeling like some body washes do.

I was selected to participate in this mission from Topbox and received the Dove Men + Care Purifying Charcoal + Clove body wash to test for free in exchange for my review. I was happy with the results as it leaves your skin feeling moisturized and fresh.

It provides a nice creamy lather but I was not particularly a fan of the scent. I would like to try other scents at a later date. I am a fan that Dove’s products are cruelty free and that the bottle is 100% recyceable.

This body wash works wonders. I would recommend to anyone. Just be aware it kind of smells like shea butter, but it’s not bad at all. It makes my skin feel amazing.

When I first tried this I was surprised at how effective and great smelling it was. The texture out of the bottle is almost like a gel but is a normal liquid soap and appears to have tiny specs in it of orange peel or something but fully dissolves when using it.

The smell is really amazing and is not overpowering, its a nice calm orange smell and lasts the day. It cleans really well and suds up alot like Id want. I would defiantly recommend this one. I have brand loyalty to another brand but thinking about switching to this its so good depending on the price at my local stores.

Ok I’m rating this because my boyfriend uses this one all the time and he has never switched it. One time his brother got him a different body wash by mistake and I went and bought him this one because I love it.

I swear he smells so good the whole day. I also use it 🤭 and my skin also feels great with it, very soft. For men, after using this when you get out of the shower you can approach your girl and see how much she will like it.

This is the only antibacterial body wash for men that has did something just like an overseas country soap has done for me. There was an overseas bar soap that I came across for the first time a few years back and from the first shower I noticed something that I never experienced from all soap I have used.

It was how that overseas bar soap not only kills 99. 9% of germs, but prevented the re-growth of skin infection and odor-causing bacteria, common disease causing bacteria and fungi** in between the showers while acting as a shield of protection all day into the next day, but all depends how you worked your body up for another clean.

It was so amazing that once you realize how fresh and odor-free you have become, you could will knock your showering/bath down to one a day. That overseas bar soap was that potent and great. So I was amazed how Dove’s men+care Skin defense is actually giving some of those same benefits when I first decided to purchased it to try.

And honestly, there is no soap, not even dial and all the other USA soaps you see in your modern day stores that can give a man the clean and give you odor-free bacteria smell recognition in your entire day even didn’t know that it doesn’t take long for odor-causing bacteria to re-grow after your bath/shower in just one day.

This body wash really keeps odor bacteria away. So I say to you Dove businessmen and businesswomen, don’t change the formula for this body wash, don’t stop this body wash from doing what it does and don’t DISCONTINUE it even though discontinued products most of the time be the best and with proved results even if you have COMPLAINERS because I have really paid so much attention to hygiene and have experience the soap game that I know personally that all the soaps/wash in these stores just don’t deal with bacteria and odor-causing bacterial re-growth.

They are just wack. This is the only body wash I use now while I stock up on the overseas bar soap that I have to have also. So the overseas bar soap and this Dove Skin Defense body wash are the only two that is potent to me and do what they are made to do beautifully.

The skin defense antibacterial body wash by Men’s Dove + Care is really good at moisturizing the skin and moisturizing wash that leaves your skin feeling hydrated throughout the day. The body wash is light and you do not need a lot as it lathers really good, it rinses off easy and is great for face & body washing.

My husband said after using for about a week or so his skin felt smooth and clean. It has a fresh scent that leaves the skin smelling great and refreshed. Overall, this is a good antibacterial body wash good for hands, face or body and gets the dirt and grime off effectively.

I would definitely recommend to others.

I received this Dove Men’s body wash from INFLUENSTER for free in exchange for an honest review. I gave it to my husband 2 teenage sons to try guessing by the empty bottle they liked it! It smells nice and it helps my sons with their body acne my older son with facial acne.

*I consider it a win to get them into the shower! No reports of rashes or sensitivity of any kind. My younger son didn’t the it on his face as he’s more sensitive. My husbsnd/son had no issues. I like products that can do double duty to keep clutter down in the shower! Unless its my clutter ofcourse! Good product that I’d consider buying again.

This product is the best smelling Dove Body wash. I also bought the soap. The micro-beads help clean my skin well, not just later hung it up in layers. When caring for my junk, the hard soap is my best bet and it cleans better than any other soap I’ve used before, from Dove or any other brand.

Rough enough to leave you clean, while leaving your skin soft too. My wife loves its scent and she was really intrigued by the soap bar color. It didn’t bother me at all. I can tell a lot of thought went into this product, because it takes care of sweaty areas while leaving you feeling super clean.

The body wash was good too. Although a bit thicker than other Dove products, it worked great for me with enough lather to use for my whole body once. I usually use the bar soap for my underarms and due to the deodorant residue I always have to lather that area up a few times.

Not with this one. Thanks Dove. Hope you keep this one and not discontinue it. I wish you’d make the deodorant and other products for it using the same scent, kudos.

I bought a six pack through Groupon that contained 3 different scents. This one by far was mine and my husbands favorite out of all of them. It has just a great smell and is not a strong over powering smell.

You can tell his skin gets cleaned and does not try his skin out like most soaps do. My husband also has sensitive skin and this does not break him out. I even utilize this to wash my face on makeup days because of how clean I feel after using it.

Why? Why would you change the “Mild Formula” scent to this new one? That’s what I liked about it, it was mild and not overpowering, were you getting complaints? I got nothing but compliments on how I smelled.

I have two bottles left of the “Mild Formula”, guess I’ll have to use sparingly until I find a new scent and possibly different brand! They even changed the deodorant scent. Very disappointed.

Bought this for my husband, good quality shower gel, and exactly as it states, he’s very satisfied with this product as he has quite sensitive skin and likes this one. Would buy again, smells great too.

Its like “Water Down” liquid and smell does not smell good. It smell like “Water Down” When you ran out so you fill up the bottle with water 2-4 times and use it as a emergency. It’s not rich, strong scent, thick.

Liquid is very watery that water down smell hits you big and fast I don’t enjoy and feel relax as the original, smell good all day. 1st its my Detergent now my body face wash. What is going on???? My girlfriend had a fight with me because she thinks I fill my empty bottle 4+ times in not getting new one.

She even got me a bottle for me. She apologized after I show her 4 new bottles + hers. I thought they improve made It better add something new better for the skin. Please bring back the original scent and thicken Dove Men Deep Clean.

Now I understand that this is marketed for males. But who cares!! I tried this for the first time at my bfs house and love this cleanser for days that I workout. I love that this cleaner is exfoliating and smells great.

I feel like this cleanser also helps give a deeper clean than most cleaners and leaves my skin smooth and fresh.

I received the Dove Men + Care Blue Eucalyptus + Birch Body Face Wash free for my Hubby to review. He loved the body wash; it left his skin soft was moisturizing. He loved the refreshing Eucalyptus scent which was both invigorating relaxing.

He used it both on the face body which lathered well without leaving a residue. He only had to use a little bit because a little goes a long way. I tried it too loved it as well. The scent was not overpowering left our skin lightly scented.

We both had no reaction to our sensitive skin. We both liked the fact it is certified cruelty-free by Peta. We both would recommend the Dove Men + Care Blue Eucalyptus + Birch Body Face Wash. We would buy it again.

This product is dermatologist recommended. Smells great. I can’t say I would recommend. Purchased for my son. Within 2 days of using this product my son broke out everywhere. It caused a visit to the dermatologist.

I’m 65 yrs old and am having issues opening things. I have used Dove for years and totally love the products. A little sign twist to open at the bottom would have been nice to see. My normal way of opening by pulling the top off wouldn’t work.

Until I thought to send a review, in doing so, I saw the bottom twist sign did I think to do. When I twisted the bottom, the top worked it’s way off. Cool idea.

I had high expectations of this body wash considering my previous experiences (all great) with other products within Dove’s Men’s Care product line. This soap’s texture is very thick, which seemed promising.

Squeezing the liquid onto your hand or washcloth, you’ll notice how almost gel-like the substance is, it creates a very rich lather! The fragrance is where this soap really hits the mark! It’s fresh, and aromatic, with a masculine and yet floral musk that just makes using this soap so enjoyable in the shower! Upon rinsing the soap off my body, however, is where the product fails.

The soap leaves a discernible layer on your skin that feels sticky, almost like wax. Not sure if this soap contains parabens or wax, but it feels that way as the product, unfortunately, does not rinse well.

I had used and loved this body wash for several years. It was so good to my dry, sensitive skin. It moisturized without leaving lotion behind. The scent was clean, subtle enough for low-scent spaces, and didn’t trigger my migraines.

But those beautiful dreams are gone, because they messed with perfection. The first thing I noticed about the new formula was the smell. It’s overpowering now and smells more artificial. Imagine taking a shower inside a can of air freshener.

It also triggered an intense migraine for me, which didn’t happen with the old formula (one reason I’d loved it). I squeezed out a dime-sized amount to see how the new formula felt and just. no. It doesn’t feel as good on the skin.

After rinsing it off, my skin wasn’t nearly as nice as it was after the old formula. Dove, please bring back the previous formula. I had to throw this out and am now on the hunt for something new.

First off, I’m hyper vigilant about what goes on my skin. I have sensitive skin that overreacts to nearly everything, from a paltry puff of light breeze to products supposedly created with sensitive-skin-sufferers in mind.

I’ve learned both from research and personal experimentation that strongly perfumed items should generally be avoided. While that’s nearly impossible to do, I do try. Although it’s not perfume-free, the fresh scent of this soap doesn’t overwhelm.

The bigger problem, though, is the fact that this item “cools”. Believe it or not, that “tingling” and “cooling” sensation isn’t your skin enjoying the temperature change. What is it then? It’s your skin screaming out for help because it’s being majorly irritated.

And what’s irritating it? More often than not, it comes courtesy of the most-prevalent and hugely-problematic addition you’ll find in way too many men’s lines: Menthol. The plant extract is uniformly terrible for your skin.

Personally, it inflames my skin, making it look puffy and red, especially on my face. It’s easily the number one thing I seek to avoid in formulations, which is tough to do considering the fact that “Men’s” has practically become shorthand for “This has a ton of menthol in it”.

That’s why it saddens me to report that this Dove (a major brand that, much like Aveeno, I generally credit as being somewhat enlightened when it comes to proper skincare) body and face wash contains menthol just like so many others.

That makes this item a non-starter for me, and gives me an excellent reason to reevaluate the Dove brand altogether. At least it smells nice.
