20 Best Dishes For Christmas Potluck (2023 Updated)

I had been searching for Christmas dishes for months and couldn’t find beautiful, affordable options that didn’t come with a bunch of mugs. This Pfaltzgraff 24 piece set was exactly what I was looking for.

It comes with service for 8, and includes dinner plates, dessert plates, and bowls. The quality is fantastic and the dishes arrived within a few days. They were packaged very well and were easy to open, wash and store.

I will definitely look for Pfaltzgraff serving pieces to coordinate with these beautiful dishes for next year!.

Our family loves this set! It arrived so fast after I ordered it. It was well packaged and all the pieces were intact. We were able to use it throughout the holidays. It makes a lovely place setting.

Now everyone in the family has a Christmas plate to use. We will enjoy this set for many years to come.

I bought the 24 piece dinnerware set as a gift and the recipient loved them. It was perfect getting just plates and bowls. Cups and saucers are not used as much anymore and just take up space in the cupboard.

The Christmas tree design was perfect.

I have a huge white & gold dinner set that goes back to the 60’s which I don’t use these days. So my granddaughter whose getting married next years is going to take it off my hands. This was my naughty purchase after treating myself to a set of 4 Christmas Tree mugs with red peppermint handles.

Just enough for me these days. Although I would like the slightly bigger tea plates. It’s a shame I’m 77 as it’s a bit late to add other pieces. Especially the Nutcracker salt & pepper pots. Stunning.

Im both happy and sad with this set. I am a new collector of the christmas tree range and after my mother ordered me the 12 peice dinner set and a set of 4 cups (i already have a set of 2 big mugs) i was gutted to find that the service comes in a plain brown cardboard box while all the other items come in beautiful Spode box’s.

That said, though there are some imperfections in a few pieces and the side plates and bowls are smaller than expected, but this can only mean i consume less so not such a bad thing. Over all a beautiful set.

We’ve had Spode Christmas plates for years. They always come out when the tree goes up. Our daughter has just bought her first house and was absolutely delighted with this set as a gift. Just so pretty and traditionally Christmasy.

I bought these dishes to supplement another set I have had for years – also purchased at Walmart. I like that the plates are larger in this set and really like the soup bowls – the other set has small bowls that really aren’t good for much besides desserts like pudding or ice cream.

The patterns are slightly different but not not enough to keep me from intermingling the sets. One negative is that the designs are not always lined up on the pieces but I doubt anyone but me would notice that.

The other negative is that the cups are really small – the other set had mugs and no saucers and are much more practical/functional. The pattern is very similar to Spode Tree pattern so I have been able to mix in a few of those pieces – like salt.

Beautiful dishes! I have been looking for new Christmas dishes at an affordable cost, for quite some time. When I found these dishes I was so pleased. And now that I have received them I am even more pleased.

This china is gorgeous. I love the soft glow of the “white”. Not gaudy white at all. I grew up dining on my Grandma’s Lenox fine bone china everyday so I am partial to Lenox. I use Lenox Butterfly Meadow everyday and ensured my daughter’s first set was Lenox.

Strangely, I’ve refrained from purchasing special Christmas china until now. QVC just made it irresistible and with all of the stuff going on in the world today, I want to do something extra special for my family at Christmas.

I want two more sets for my larger gatherings.

I ordered these in August & just used them for Christmas dinner. They are wonderful- simple, easy to clean in the dishwasher. My family remarked that they liked them a lot. We’ll use them again for New Year’s Day.

I like that they aren’t solely decorated with Christmas designs so they can be used for New Years.

I have had this holiday china for years. I have a 12 place buffet set and use it every year around the holidays as often as possible. I use it with a red tablecloth and napkins, and I also use it with a green tablecloth and napkins.

I also have some more casual ruby red dessert plates that compliment this set. I can’t imagine that anyone would be disappointed with this purchase.

My husband bought me this set along with the pasta bowls. It is so much better than I expected. Such great quality. I can’t wait to use them next year.

Very disappointed at the lack of quality given it is a Certified International product. The banding on the mugs and the bowls was uneven and the tree on the smaller “Joy” plate was not centered correctly and printed crooked.

The plates are big the desert plates are almost as big as a dinner plate – the bowls are deep – the mugs hold a whole lot of coffee -tall and gorgeous- every piece takes my breath away. love love love – I want another set so I have 8 pieces.

This is a review of how the product arrived. I thought I was buying a NEW set of China. When I opened the box, the China box had already been opened. Each bag for each dish had been opened and each dish smelled like cake.

I am pretty sure this set has been used before. If I pay over $100 for something new , I expect it to be sealed and new. This is a gift. I cant gift someone an unsealed, cake-smelling China set.

After years of mismatched and cheap silverware, it is so nice to have a set of flatware that is both beautiful and functional! The big and small forks and spoons are both sized well to fit different needs or different size humans who may be using them.

We have been using this flatware for over a year now and every piece has held up well. A perfect item for your wedding registry if you are looking for something that you will appreciate using every day!.

Love this pattern! I’ve had my eye on it for years! Not many patterns that I’m drawn to still have a traditional teacup, so I’ve been extra excited about this one. Quality and weight of the pieces feel nice.

The only reason I give it a 4 is that the banding texture isn’t smooth or polished, like I imagined. It is more matte than shiny. Definitely still worth a look!.

Pretty and festive dinnerware – perfect for Christmas dinner and New Years!

Love the simplicity of the design and the feeling of peacefulness and gratitude that invoke when I take them out to use during the holidays season. Their the perfect size, starting with either, enjoying delicious appetizers or ending the evening with a beautiful dessert.

I pair the dishes along with my lastra white coffee mugs. It’s a great cup to serve both fresh coffee or better yet, hot chocolate which I serve with a heaping dollop of fresh, homemade whipped cream, then topping it off with a dusting of grated chocolate on top.

After years of having the traditional Christmas type China I gave it away and decide on Lastra Holiday for its clean lines and beautiful simple pattern! I love it! The Rufolo glass charger adds just the right amount of sparkle!.

These plates are absolutely gorgeous! They arrived quickly and were packaged perfectly, so as to ensure a safe arrival. I now have a new addiction, will have to continue building my set.

I was so excited to receive my new dishes. I ordered 5 sets as I love to entertain. As my daughter and I began the unboxing process my excitement increasingly turned to disappointment. I began setting individual pieces aside to return.

The pattern is not at all even, and sometimes goes off the plate, the glaze is uneven and pocked in places, the center image does not appear to have a good glaze over top of it, and will wear off quickly.

The pattern is smudged. After 4 boxes, with 1/3 of the dishes set aside to return I gave up and didn’t even open the 5th box. So sad.

I’m a big vintage lover. Especially Christmas. I have been looking for vintage Christmas dishes for a long time now but the prices were crazy. Then I saw these and decided to purchase them with the thought that if I didn’t like them I could return.

I ordered them yesterday and they arrived today! So far, they are lovely. They definitely have that vintage vibe, without the price tag. I wish the holly berries had some red in them, as they are a bit dull.

But otherwise they are keepers. Don’t expect your vintage plate and quality, because you’ll be disappointed. But if you’re looking for the ‘look’ at a reasonable price, these are perfect.

Beautiful design using rustic tones (primarily brown with salmon/rust and some forest green). My husband loves Christmas and was thrilled with this set! Plates are good size (as expected, not huge but not small either).

Bowls are a bit shallow but worked great for salad; would probably be great for soup as well but not suited for a deep bowl of cereal. Mugs are a good size for after-dinner coffee or tea (not too small like some decorative mugs in sets).

I have always wanted Christmas dishes and these were perfect. Not your usual Christmas trees, reindeer, snowman. They have a look or vintage Christmas. Packaging was Great. Well protected. Would recommend!.

Keep trying to add to my Christmas dinnerware. Bought two sets of Spode plates about six months apart from each other and the plates have come completely shattered. I mean completely! However, I did buy Spode ascot bowls (2 boxes) and those were totally fine! I also bought Spode ornaments and other accessories and those game unbroken, but the Spode boxes were open and not in good shape at all (inside of the shopping box).

I was glad they weren’t broken and I was glad I wasn’t giving those as a gift. I truly think Spode needs to do a much better job of packing, and I think zulily needs to our fragile stickers on the outside of the box.

Quite honestly, I should have handed the boxes right back to the mailman, because you could hear the shattered plates as they were handed to me.

This bowl is 10 inches in diameter and about 4 inches deep at the center. It is perfect for serving a side dish for your Christmas dinner. I plan to use it to serve a vegetarian dish I am making as an alternative entree for Christmas dinner.

So glad to have it this year!.

I love the pattern on these plates. They look so elegant for the holidays. The only downside is you can’t put in microwave because of the gold trim. But that’s what makes the plates so pretty. Also, I wish Mikasa made the holiday traditions cereal or soup bowl.

I love the Holiday Traditions pattern and enjoy using it during the holidays. I just wish there were more serving pieces available like vegetable bowls, salt & pepper shakers, platters, casseroles, etc.

I bought 8 place settings of Holiday Traditions about 8-10 years ago and I love them! Since our family is growing I bought an additional 4 place settings this year. I was surprised to find that they had modified the pattern somewhat and they are no longer identical.

Example: my new bread and butter plates arent quite the same shape and the pattern has been modified from the old bread and butter plates. The colors and motif are still the same, so I will keep them and blend them in to a more eclectic table, but if your are a perfectionist, be aware of the changes.

I have been wanting this set of dishes ever since I saw them in Macy’s many years ago. Whenever I attempted to buy them, they were sold out, or could only purchase pieces. This Christmas Season, I discovered that I could purchase them straight from Pfalzgraft! And on sale! I bought 4 sets because we have a large family and guests at Christmas.

I thought the dishes were going to be more like “fine China”. They are not, but that is great for me. If it were “fine China”, I would have been to nervous to use them! My family loves the dishes and they are so happy for me to have them.

I was thrilled to get these dishes, as I had been eyeing them forever. They shipped in plain brown cartons, so I was disappointed not to have those pretty decorative boxes you see elsewhere. Everything came undamaged and in great condition.

There were “dirty” spots on some of the bowls. Everything washed up nice, however. I’ve been told that the “dirty” look on the bottoms of the cups are because they aren’t glazed in the same way as the rest of the item.

All in all, I’m looking forward to adding other pieces to these to use as my “winter dishes”.

Absolutely love the each of the designs and colors! Bold and happy! However, 2 of the plates arrived chipped on the sides and now cant be served at parties. When it cones down to repackaging, reshipping and waiting, it isnt worth the hassle of a return or refund.
