I had to share my review of this shampoo and conditioner after years of searching for a great product. A little background info, I have highlighted my hair (which I’d describe as straight, fine and definitely on the oily side around my forehead) for decades – I am 44 now and dry, brittle hair became a regular thing for me once I reached my 40’s.
Every time one shampoo/conditioner ran out, I tried another because nothing was worth a repurchase and the breakage continued. I’ve also tried many treatments and masks, from high-end to low, but just never found “the one”.
The Recovery set wasn’t something I found, it was something my stylist used on me on my last two highlight sessions. I honestly bought it for the smell most of all, because it would last a couple of days, and figured it was worth a shot for the other benefits.
I have been using the Recovery shampoo and conditioner for two weeks now and truly am amazed at the difference in my hair. I’m not expecting miracles after what I have put my hair through but this is the first time.
ever. I can recall feeling my hair and thinking “wow, that is REALLY soft”. It just feels so much healthier (and yes, the smell is wonderful and citrusy!) I will absolutely be purchasing this again and incorporate it into my regular hair routine!.
I’ve never actually used “bed head tigi” hair products before but I hands down will be using it from now on. Lately because of my depression, my hair had been a little, well, forgotten about. As a result, it’s not in its best condition.
UNTILL NOW. After the very first wash with the conditioner, I got amazing results. A little amount goes a long way and gives full coverage. Once on my hair, I like to brush the conditioner through to make sure it gets right to the root.
With a lot of conditioners, the act of massaging it into my hair causes awful knots. Since using TiGi, this hasn’t happened once, It also smells BEAUTIFUL! The feel of my hair after it’s been blow dried is literally amazing.
I’ve even got little fly aways again at the front if my head when I put my hair up. An added bonus, it’s actually affordable. I literally can not recommend this product enough.
I’m quite disappointed that EVERY SINGLE review on this product was “promoted. ” I mean, come on Target. I’m a licensed Cosmetologist and got this conditioner along with the Bigger The Better Foam shampoo for my son who has very fine, straight hair to the middle of his back.
It’s super long and fine. Everything weighs it down, and he wants his hair to have “life” again. He uses a clarifying shampoo first, then uses this shampoo and conditioner. It allows him to use less of this product but great results.
The conditioner is perfect. It’s light enough to not weigh his hair down, but seals the moisture in where it’s needed. Be sure to only apply this conditioner to the ends and work it up through the midlengths to get the best results! Avoid the root area to preserve volume.
Can’t get your hair clean enough – even when you’re washing it regularly? Today might be the time to start a detox! Introducing IGK FIRST CLASS Detoxifying Charcoal Shampoo which gently removes impurities without drying out hair or stripping colour.
I was looking high and low for new shampoo and I am VERY picky, because I notice when my scalp and hair don’t feel properly clean. I did not really want to try sulfate free shampoos because I did think that with shampoo ingredients, there are always new trends about what is “harmful” and I’m not always sure that there is any credible evidence.
I tried out oribe, kiehl’s, nexxus, sachajuan, and none were as good as this. The sulfate free formula actually cleaned my hair much better than any others. I would hate finding that my hair wasn’t clean and I was looking for something powerful.
The oribe was ok but the scent was too strong for shampoo (I did like some of the sprays instead). This product does not have such fabulous packaging, and I would certainly pay more for a larger bottle, but for the formula, this is worth it for me.
I do wish that the sulfate free brands would make better conditioners because the shampoos do tangle your hair unlike anything I have ever seen. I sometimes steal my nexxus conditioner to use with this shampoo because it is so much nicer to brush out with post shower.
As with all skincare / hair care products, the experience is very personal, but I found this shampoo to be much too dry and the scent reminiscent of chlorine and over-strong. Even now, after emptying my bottle to replace with another brand’s shampoo, I can feel that it’s too dry on even just my hands in the process of washing it out.
As a shampoo, it definitely gives you that squeaky-clean feeling, but to a point where it strips your hair and scalp of natural oils which actually has the opposite effect where your body begins to produce more oil to compensate for the moisture loss resulting in an oilier, greasier feeling sooner than you would experience with other shampoos.
Second, the smell. again, smells are very personal, but I found the smell to be kind of wet, musky, and similar to that chlorinated pool smell. Finally, and this is a much smaller nit, but I was confused by how much glitter or micah they put in the shampoo.
For a shampoo that advertises as vegan, cruelty-free, and with charcoal as an ingredient, I was expecting a much more natural style of shampoo. But when it comes out of the bottle it’s viscous and glittery which wasn’t at all what I was expecting.
Detoxify, purify & protect hair & scalp from pollution with this non-stripping shampoo to instantly remove environmental build-up. Hair feels healthy and full of shine. Those who find their hair dull, brittle, heavy and/or dirty, and experience an irritated or dry scalp due to pollution.
Safe for natural, color-treated and highlighted hair. Ultra-gentle for everyday use.
I’ve rated this shampoo mid-range as it may come down to personal preferences, for me it was the smell that lowered the rating score. When I used this product for the first time, I had to use a lot of product to really lather my long hair, once it starting foaming I could tell it was cleaning and detoxifying my hair, the smell at the time was delicious, it reminded me of organic mint tea I used to have back in my home town in Europe.
When I rinsed the shampoo out of my hair I felt it really stripped all nasties out, and my hair and scalp felt clean. I finished the shower with the paired KLORANE Aquatic Mint Scalp Protective Conditioner and naturally dried my hair in the sun outside.
I remember I had a lunch date with my girlfriend and was raving on about how delicious my hair smelt, she agreed. About 3 hours later the smell was still as strong and overpowering, I decided to tie my hair up hoping it would be more settled.
Later at dinner with my husband, it was still as strong-smelling, he could smell me from across the table, over the top of my perfume. Later that night I ended up with a migraine, I am generally prone to migraines so it’s no surprise but I generally believe the strong smell of this shampoo contributed to it.
Perhaps I shouldn’t have used so much product, to begin with, but I haven’t been able to wash my hair with it since. A positive however is that I didn’t have to wash my hair for 6 days as it stayed really fresh, clean, and smooth looking the whole time.
I find that when the weather is dry and cold, my scalp can itch from time to time, and as such, I need something that can help deal with this. Thus. I felt really lucky that this arrived in time for my first couple of itches of the season! This is a scalp detox shampoo with aquatic mint, and it is meant to deeply cleanse while eliminating impurities from the hair and scalp.
The formula includes organic aquatic mint extract, which accounts for why it has a minty scent, not to mention that it also leaves a cool tingle once you’ve washed your hair. This aids in removing product and natural buildup from the scalp without stripping it, balancing the skin as it washes.
For those who are concerned, this has been formulated without silicone, parabens, MIT, triclosan, phenoxyethanol and SLS/SLES, as well as being vegan-friendly. Overall, I find this to be very pleasing, but not very moisturising, and it’s definitely a shampoo that I’m happy to finish.
I’m loving the smell of this shampoo! It smells like fresh mint leaves, not fake mint. A little goes a long way and with added water, it quickly works up a good lather. I’ve been using this product for over two weeks now and have noticed a really big difference in my hair; it dries a lot quicker than normal and actually dries straight rather than wavy and frizzy on the ends! It feels a lot more light weight and just overall feels a lot softer.
It’s easy to style and I don’t have to use too much heat when straightening because it dries really well. I love that the bottle it’s in is considerably different from the conditioner so you know which one you need to use first instead of having to read the labels which saves me a lot of time when I’m in a rush.
I also love that it’s clear so I can see just how much is left. I would a hundred percent recommend this product and will definitely be going out to buy more when I start running low.

I typically alternate shampoo/conditioner I use so bottles last a bit anyway. With these, even using every shower it would be a while before needing to purchase again, which is already a plus if not more so in the times of not going to stores as much/unless absolutely necessary.
When I first opened the pumps, a little bit of shampoo came out through the top but not much and when using, it doesn’t happen besides the initial open. They both smell amazing. The bottles aren’t near as bulky as pump bottles I’ve had previously.
They fit my setup nicely and I haven’t had issues with bottles slipping, trouble getting caps off, fumbling and dropping, etc like happen for me with traditional bottles. For me, that would be enough that I would make room in the shower for the convenience of pumps vs regular.
I like that it is a no paraben set. After use, my hair stayed soft into the next day. I let my hair air dry which would usually result in a complete frizzy pouf, but instead my hair stayed smooth with my natural curl/wave, and dried with the look of volume without puffing out.
That’s always an instant win in my book and tough for me to come by.
I am prone to dry hair and because my hair is thick it’s not so much fun so when I used shampoo and conditioner I want one that definitely provided moisture and leaves my hair feeling soft. For starters these smells really good, almost like a sweet tropical scent that pleasant without being overwhelming smelling.
The shampoo lathers really well to create a lot of bubbles and rinses out fairly well but it think the shampoo left my hair a little bit dry feeling when using which I chalk up to mostly likely cleaning and getting rid of the excess oil so when you use the conditioner it doesn’t leave your hair greasy.
The conditioner is super thick which made it slightly hard to fully work into my hair so I wish it was a little looser but it does work well, I tend to leave it in for a few minutes to let it soak because I felt like just leaving it in garnered better results.
So after using both of the I kinda felt like my hair was hard to work with when it was wet, like it kinda made it the texture kinda rough feeling and like I couldn’t get a brush through which was a bit annoying but when my hair dries it feels really nice and I can easily brush it out and it doesn’t feel greasy.
I think for me it’s was mostly just ok, like it does make your hair feel nice when it dries but I didn’t really care for how my hair felt when I was waiting on it to dry so it’s kinda of in the middle.
I think if your hair just needs a bit of moisture it would probably work well but I think because of my hair texture it just didn’t work for me as well.
This is a Beyond Beauty product which means it has been sourced, tried and tested and finally declared one of the most new and innovative heroes out there. OUAI’s Detox Shampoo deeply cleanses away dirt, oil and impurities.
Infused with the brand’s signature Melrose Place fragrance, it also removes build up from styling products, air pollution and hard water deposits, leaving hair feeling refreshed and super clean. Detox Shampoo is made up of a blend of apple cider vinegar, hydrolyzed keratin and chelating agents.
Together they work to leave hair squeaky clean and residue-free. Chelating Agents help to remove heavy metals, minerals, and chlorine found in hard water which can cause colour fading and damage to the hair.
Apple Cider Vinegar helps to exfoliate and remove flakes, residue and build up in hair which restores natural volume, bounce and shine to hair. Hydrolyzed Keratin can help fill in the missing keratin naturally found in the hair follicle, helping to reduce frizz and flyaways.
OUAI’s bottles and caps are fully recyclable and made with 20% post-consumer recycled materials. This product is silicone, paraben, cruelty, SLS and SLES free.
I LOVE THIS CLARIFYING SHAMPOO. I never used clarifying shampoo much in the past, because it would dry my hair out cause breakage no matter what I did. I also have a Brazilian Blowout sulfates in shampoos will ruin it, so I had a hard time finding a clarifying shampoo that would work for me.
I thought it was too good to be true, but purchased this anyways to try it out. Let me tell you, I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID. I use this once, sometimes twice a week. Most hair products have silicones in them if you don’t clarify your hair it causes build-up greasy roots/weighs it down.
My favorite day to style my hair is directly after washing with this shampoo. I use a moisture conditioner right after because the best time for your hair to soak in a product is when there’s no barriers after clarifying.
You can feel how clean your hair is directly after rinsing this out, but it doesn’t cause extreme dryness and frizz. It also is one of the only clarifying shampoos that successfully removes the oil build up towards my roots.
I would definitely purchase this if you’re looking for a good clarifying shampoo that gets rid of the bad things in your hair without stripping it of the good things that it needs. It’s a perfect balance I swear by it!.
It has the most beautiful, sweet rose scent, that’s very light and lasts all day long! The gel texture is, similar too honey “thick/sticky” becomes a nice creamy lather once water is added. It massaged through my hair nicely and rinsed out easily *I left it on for a total of 5 mins* My scalp felt/looked clean and refreshed.
My hair felt soft, looked fuller and was frizz free. A clarifying shampoo that deeply cleanses; dirt, oil, product buildup (dry shampoo/styling products) and hard water deposits. Leaves hair feeling refreshed super clean! Perfect for: oily, shiny, flaky/dry scalp.
Safe for colour treated hair. Scent “Melrose Place” Velvety-rich rose, infused with a blend of “bergamot, lychee, white musk, champagne more” Apple Cider Vinegar “reduces frizz/relieves itch” Keratin “hair strengthening” Tamarind Seed Extract “prevents hair fallout” Chelating Agents “removes buildup” (Gluten, paraben, phthalate, sulfate, palm oil, SLS/SLES, cruelty free, vegan, recyclable) Use on thoroughly wet hair, squeeze out any excess water.
Lather a quarter-size amount into hand, part hair with fingertips. Apply close to scalp, let sit for 1-3 mins rinse.
okay guys buckle in, this is gonna be a long one. firstly, i’ve been dyeing my hair shades of red/orange for the last year and a half and so i’m always on the lookout for a shampoo that won’t fade or strip my colour, especially because red tones are soooo difficult to maintain.
this shampoo is GREAT for coloured hair, if anything, it actually made my highlights more vibrant, which is rare for a product with no ‘refreshing’ dye in it. secondly, i’ve noticed a build-up on my scalp recently, like i just could not get my hair fully clean.
guys, when i tell you the relief i felt after the first use, omg!!! SO CLEAN! i also noticed less grease in the days after wash-day. usually, by day 4 my hair is visibly greasy, which kinda sours my mood unless i do a grease-hiding style.
i’m on day 3 now and my scalp feels as clean as it did on day 1 with other shampoos! my hair also has an incredibly shine. as my review headline says, this shampoo is amazing for the girlies who only wash once a week.
i’ve seen reviewers complain that this shampoo is drying or frizz-inducing which is def a possiblity if you’re using it more than twice a week or without a proper conditioner. for reference, i wash once a week, sometimes going as long as 9 days and i usually use a conditioning mask.
my ONLY critic of this product is that my hair was def more static-y than before, which is something i’m willing to sacrifice for a clean scalp. other than that, it is PERFECT. cannot reccomend enough!.
This shampoo is packed with ingredients. A chelating agent removes hard water mineral buildup, an anionic polymer removes product buildup and a gentle surfactant removes pollution particle buildup. Activated charcoal absorbs oil from scalp and hair.
The scalp moisturizing and soothing complex with witch hazel helps moisturize the scalp. Ideal for all hair types. Color safe and safe for chemically treated hair. Customize usage depending on the degree of your hard water.
For hard water buildup removal, leave on for 1-2 minutes before rinsing.
This shampoo is nothing short of amazing! I saw a noticeable change and difference in my hair after about 2 washes. I have pretty hard water even though we have a water softener and my hair was drier and looking more unhealthy than I would like.
I decided to purchase the Living Proof Triple Detox Shampoo after I did the hair quiz online. I must say that I’m pleasantly surprised by the results. My hair is noticeably better and starting to look healthy, shiny and good again.
I also purchased the PHD conditioner to pair with this. This is my first time using Living Proof and I must say I am really impressed and definitely recommend!.
I was hesitant at first reading some reviews here. However, I thought to give it a chance because I have used and loved other living proof shampoo/conditioner. I moved to a rural area this month and have very hard well water.
My hair has been heavy and oily all month. Used this product once last night and my silky smooth hair is back. Not oily at all. I tried for the first time the briogeo blossom and bloom shampooo/conditioner when I moved here.
Not sure if the product added to how horrible my hair was but I have now switched back to all living proof.
I wasnt expecting much from this because for me, ions products are a hit or miss. i used to love their color protection conditioner but they tweaked the formula and its awful now. Decided to get this for the 4 for 20$ deal.
Honestly i am so glad i chose this one! Smells devine. So so good. The formula texture itself is weird. Like a runny lotion. I wouldnt spray directly on hair or it will be on spots you dont want it to.
I use 3 spritz on my palms and rub it in on each side focusing on ends. Then whatever is left on palms lightly put on top of head and bangs. So 6 spritz for the entire head. Im going to get another one of these, mostly for the smell haha but i truly think it does something good for my hair as well.
I wake up with prettier looking hair qnd not a rats nest. Its actually shiny and bouncy all day long. Just wish the bottle was bigger than 4oz. Will use up run out fast!.
Okay so. I did not have the best experience with this product. This shampoo and conditioner BOTH are we’re VERY drying to my hair. It was too harsh and made my hair brittle, it was literally shedding left and right sooo bad that I just ended up re-washing my hair with different products.
This may be great for someone else, but for myself- being cheap wasn’t my best choice this time.
It smells great but just made my hair feel extra greasy to the point where I had to add dry shampoo to help it not be to oily. I would look at trying another product. The scent is amazing I just wish the product was too.
Super bummed that this didn’t work out as well for me as I though it would. For reference my hair texture is medium and straight (that good good thick asian girl hair) and I typically go 4-5 days between washes (trained my scalp decently enough to control oil because she gets *oily* ok).
Not sure if I just used this wrong the first time (too much?? shouldn’t have shampooed twice since I normally do that w my normal shampoo?? even tho I used less than a quarter sized amount??) but after the first use it completely stripped my scalp and make it super flaky and itchy (truly shocking given that my scalp is on the oilier side) and by the second day, my scalp was super greasy and dirty (not even dry shampoo could fix her).
So bummed! Esp. since I don’t really need to wash my hair/get greasy until day 4 or 5. Ever since then I haven’t used it (went back to my main shampoo) but it seems like the effects still last aka my scalp/hair still gets greasy way earlier than it used to even though I’ve discontinued use, and I feel like i have to re-train my scalp to get to day 5 again.
I’ll give it another shot and use way less and only shampoo once, then maybe balance it out w my usual shampoo but for the time being this really wasn’t for me. Overall some good pros were that it smells amazing and after using it (despite my scalp being ruined), I noticed all my other products penetrated my hair way better/worked better since I live in Chicago and the hard water, dry shampoo, and product build up is real.
I’ll admit, I was skeptical. I had their fine hair shampoo/conditioner and was thrilled how well they work. I use probably 2-4 products a day because I have a wolf cut. I dry shampoo on the 2nd day and 3rd, and ideally shower the 3rd night or 4th day.
I’ve been getting by just fine double shampooing, but I felt I needed something a liiiittle heavier duty. I always see people rave about this and for 30$, I was certainly giving it the side eye. Not anymore! I am a believer in this fry shampoo.
I have previously religiously bleached hair, so my mid-shaft and ends can be very sensitive to harsher cleansers. I haven’t had any issues with this product at all so far. I have an incredibly oily scalp that even with my own oils and serums, still loves to produce its own factory of oil.
If you have dryer hair but still want to detox, try pre-oiling your hair and scalp a bit before a shower, I think that could help A TON! I love how this removes all of the oils and gunk without making your hair feel like legit STRAW like some detox shampoos can.
Reviewers complaining that it left them MORE oily forget that *THIS IS NOT FOR DAILY USE*. It literally says that. If you’re using a detox shampoo for daily use, why? Your poor hair. Anyway, I love this.
I lather before I put on and really scrub with my nails and follow up with a shampoo massager to get all the grime and oil from my scalp. I leave it on for about a minute, then I rinse. Voila, perfectly soft and fluffy hair! Following with Ouai’s fine hair conditioner and my hair is bouncy and soft.
Fine hair girls know the struggle of getting any sort of bouncy volume AND softness… and this really does help. I use this right now every Sunday. I love it for getting product out of my hair on days I may have used 5 products instead of my normal 4 and I HAVE to use it after 3 days.
It’s not gonna kill you to use it that often, but try to limit it to once a week. Twice if you use a lot of hair products. 10/10.
I get regular Brazilian Blowouts and typically use their products to prolong the life of my treatment. But usually about 6 weeks after treatment my hair starts to feel really heavy and coated, and my scalp starts getting itchy.
This time it was especially bad. It felt like my hair just couldn’t get clean, but I was afraid to wash out the treatment by using any clarifying shampoos. When I came across this one and noticed it had no SLS (the ingredient that’s a big no-no with BB or any other keratin treatment), I decided to try it even though I was worried that because it was “clarifying” it might wash out what was left of the treatment.
I used it for the first time this morning and OMG I feel like I have new hair! My hair is bouncy, shiny, frizz free, smells amazing, and my hair and scalp feel so incredibly clean and fresh! It didn’t wash out the treatment at all, rather it looks like it enhanced it! Still not sure what would happen with regular use so I think I will save this as a once a month kind of treatment.
OGX Purifying + Charcoal Detox Shampoo 13 oz Rescue strands with this potent blend infused with activated charcoal. It helps to de-gunk, lift and remove residue leftover from dry shampoo, stylers and other build-up that is clogging your hair follicles and causing dullness without stripping.
Give strands a fresh start for a clean, beautiful glow! Beauty pure and simple. 0 sulfate free surfactants hair care system. Why You Want it – It’s like a detox for your hair!.
For the past 2 weeks I’ve been on an OGX shampoo conditioner spree. So many new ones out with excellent reviews online that I just had to try. First up was the ‘Purifying + Charcoal Detox’ Shampoo. This one caught my attention as I’m a big fan of Briogeo’s Charcoal shampoo but it is pricey and would be great if I could find a cheaper alternative.
So first impressions. I’m impressed! The scent in here is slightly on the masculine side but don’t let that put you off. For a Sulfate-free shampoo this cleanses really well and lathers decently too.
It could be the combination of charcoal and Kaolin (clay) but there’s much less build-up than normal and my scalp actually feels much calmer and isn’t flaking nor itchy which is fantastic. Have tried out some of the other OGX shampoos which I’ll review seperately, but none compared to this for overall results on hair and scalp.
Will definitely be repurchasing this! Selena x ~ My HG list ~ (As I’ve sampled 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective.
I love constantly trying out new stuff – usually sample sizes via e-bay, also plenty courtesy of a friend who works at Sephora) 1. Hair Loss Treatment: ‘Divine Herbal’ – Hair Oil 2. Lip Balm: ‘Nuxe’ – Reve De Miel Lip Balm 3.
For some reason my hair has been a lot greasier and more lank since lockdown began in March, and no matter what shampoo I’ve used to counteract this my hair would go back to its sorry state after one day.
I have quite curly hair and so I use a serum after washing it, and if I don’t use the right shampoo I can be susceptible to product build-up. So I wanted to find a shampoo that would clarify my hair without stripping away its natural oils, as that would make it dry and frizzy.
I’ve used many of OGX’s shampoos and conditioners over the years, and I’m a huge fan of most of them. Their formulas are thick and feel luxurious for a high-street brand, and their fragrances are absolutely delightful.
However, my absolute all-time favourite is their Charcoal Detox shampoo. This shampoo claims to get rid of build-up and to thoroughly cleanse your hair so that it’s a clean slate to work from every wash.
Charcoal is often used in skincare to achieve the same aim – it helps purify and ‘detox’ the skin by drawing out impurities and congestion for spot-prone skin. So I was curious to see this ingredient being used in haircare for oiliness too.
The formula comes out like a sheer grey, and it has a lovely, thick consistency that forms into a rich lather once applied. I was a little afraid that a thick formula would result in weighing my hair down, but that hasn’t been the case at all.
Instead, my hair is squeaky clean and the curliest it’s been in a very long time, especially as I haven’t been able to have a haircut in many months. It genuinely feels like my hair has been restored to its best after every wash, and my hair no longer feels flat and lacklustre because of it.
This shampoo is often on sale somewhere or other which means it’s priced around the £4. 50 mark (its normal price is £7. 00). It’s now my one and only 💕.
I was unsure about using this product, but I bathe dogs for a living and the high humidity in the air at my work space has my scalp suuuuper oily and I often use dry shampoo. I always feel like Im not 100% getting all of the residue from everything off of my head, and I know that the high humidity is a huge part of the problem.
I’ll be honest, things got bad. I have dandruff, but not the dry, flakey kind. Mine is dense, itchy, and really oily. Ive searched and searched for something to help me, and within the first use, this product did exactly what I needed it to! I can run my fingers through my hair and not feel any oils, build up, or residue.
It DOES dry your hair. Its labeled to be a hair detox, not an every day use sort of product so I recommend using it maybe once or twice a week, depending on your individual needs of course. Its a little harsh with the drying aspect of your hair, leaving it a little bit tangled, but its definitely still manageable and if you need something to rescue your hair like I did, this is the product for you! My hair is so shiny and clean.
I am blown away by the results of this product after its first use. The only thing that I could see bothering some people, is the scent. This shampoo has a very strong scent that lingers even a few hours after your hair is washed and dried.
Personally, I like the scent. But if you’re sensitive to smells, maybe look for an alternative.
A charcoal-infused shampoo designed to clarify the hair and scalp of buildup, oil, and impurities. The gentle, sulfate-free formula contains soothing aloe and apple cider vinegar to help restore balance, softness and shine.
Ideal for all hair types, including color-treated hair.
Scalp balance, cleansing, hydration, softness, shine, volume and hair regrowth. Those are just some of the benefits that I have gained by using this shampoo (I left out color preservation since my hair ilsn’t dyed and therefore I have no need for that lparticular value.
) I started losing my hair around the age of 32, I chalked it up to health problems, medication and/or stress. I thought that I tried just about everything. I’ve been using activated charcoal for years on my face but I never thought to use it on my scalp, that is until an acquaintance recommended the L’ange website to me after I told her how beautiful her hair was all of the time.
I think she was sick of the compliments and wanted me off her back. l been using this product with the scalp Saveur, which works to break up product buildup and stimulate circulation, creating the perfect environment for the ingredients in the shampoo to work! I’ve been using these products for about 6 months now and my hair is finally starting to grow back with softnes, shine and volume that I had as a ten year old!.
My hair is fine and gets super greasy very quick. I’ve never been one of those people who can go 5 days without washing. I have toe has my hair every other day. I also have bleached blond hair. So the end are dry but roots are greasy.
I tried some of the other Lange shampoos, and they just left my roots still feeling greasy and like a film ago built up on them. So I tried this. It worked great. Bent hair was soft and clean but not dried out.
I use it for every wash and my end are never dry. If you at prone to greasy hair, this works great! Definitely recommend it. It smells great too!.
I recently used Detox shampoo to remove all product build up on my hair. I have normal to dry hair and it is bleached. The shampoo is infused with charcoal, you can see it in the shampoo. It makes a very nice lather.
I was able to shampoo rather easily. It really did remove all product build up, but it also removed all natural. , oil in my hair. When I tried to put my fingers through my hair to scrub my scalp I couldn’t get them through my strands of hair.
So I just mooshed the shampoo around really well until I thought it was clean then rinsed. I thought when I rinsed it I would be able to get my fingers through more easily. Well, I could but just barely.
I used conditioner but it didn’t get much better. I squeezed the water out gently but there was no way I could put a comb or drying brush through it. I put in a lot of the detangler and very gently worked the brush through my hair.
I was able to dry it on low heat but but my hair was terribly dry. I had to use deep leave in conditioner a few times and it eventually got better. But I will not use it again. It might be fine on oily hair or unbleached hair but be careful using it on normal to dry hair.

I have been struggling the past two years with my hair. My scalp has been dry and flakey and just generally itchy and my hair has been ranging from frizzy to greasy in about 2 minutes flat. I tried everything, drug store, high end, scalp treatments, EVERYTHING.
Enter this shampoo. I came at the litter sale having very little clue on what I wanted. I orginally wanted biolage but my BB was out so I asked the lady who led me to this product. I got both the shampoo and conditoner.
My hair has never felt better. It feels and stays clean for days, my scalp isn’t killing me, my hair isn’t frizzy. Its the best. I am very much a wash and go kind of gal and this does that while making my hair look and feel great.
Grown Alchemist Detox Shampoo 0. 1 200 ml is a restructuring shampoo for all hair types. One wash is sufficient, repeat where desired. Perfect for damaged hair and all hair types. Follow with Grown Alchemist Detox Conditioner.
I have a naturally oily scalp with dry ends, and straight, fine hair that lacks volume and is prone to tangling. It’s also colour treated. As you can imagine, it takes a helluva product to address all those factors.
Seeking a true hair transformation, I decided to give @grownalchemist a try, because I love that it’s an Australian (like me!) brand that uses no artificial or harmful ingredients. 🌱 I chose the shampoo (damask rose, black pepper, and sage) and the Colour Protect conditioner 0.
3 (aspartic amino acid, hydrolyzed quinoa protein, and ootanga). Each 500ml bottle retails for $49 at grownalchemist. com (shipping was free within the USA). It took me a couple of washes to perfect my use of the products.
Because I’ve typically used very cosmetic products on my hair, I was confused by the minimal lather of the shampoo. I also didn’t anticipate how truly moisturising the conditioner would be, and used too much – so my hair felt a little greasy (also likely due to transitioning to a natural product, and the fact that these products don’t entirely strip your hair of its oils and leave it squeaky clean like inferior products do – an addictive sensation, albeit misguided).
However, since I figured out my perfect usage, which is a slight variation on the directions, I’ve been madly in love with them. My hair is looking and feeling fantastic, with the scalp oils really coming into balance and the mid-lengths and ends starting to benefit from all the hydration (and sun protection!) My personal routine now (every other day) is two pumps of shampoo as directed, then conditioning for 1-2 minutes as directed (I use two pumps); then I freestyle and go in again with a quick mid-length wash using just half a pump of the shampoo to clear out any excess conditioner I may have missed with my rinse.
The products smell incredible, and the potency of the conditioner means I don’t have to stand around waiting too long for it to do its thing. I definitely love these products and am excited to keep using them and improving the health of my hair.
I’m also curious to try GA’s skincare products. [brand:grown-alchemist-87].
Experiencing the exact opposite of what other reviewers stated. There is hardly any lather at all, and yes I’m used to sulfate-free shampoos so I know what to expect. This product takes me three washings to get my medium length hair sort of clean.
I don’t use any heavy styling products so that’s not something I’m used to. Paired with the volumising conditioner (another dud) my hair comes out flat and dull and feels unclean. This product basically does the exact opposite of what it’s marketed to do.
The one positive is the smell is fantastic! Haven’t had a good Grown Alchemist experience yet though and this is their fourth product I’ve tried.
Until recently my absolute favorite shampoo for very fine hair, excellent in combination with the conditioner. Unfortunately, it seems that the formula was changed here a few months ago. The label looks a little different and the product no longer feels the same when used.
It now takes two to three times as much shampoo to cleanse the hair, it’s hard to distribute and doesn’t foam at all. The hair feels much drier and less well-groomed, also the volume effect is hardly present.
Gently clarify and detox hair to banish build-up for good. This 97% natural clarifying shampoo removes build-up and residue caused by urban pollution, hard water, chlorine or styling products. Detoxifying peppermint and sorrel leaf extracts help to gently cleanse, purify and remove build-up, leaving hair feeling fresh and clean.
I’m convinced this scrub is the best thing Noughty has produced. I used their entire curly hair range a few years ago but ultimately switched back to a different brand as I was struggling with scalp buildup and itchiness.
However when I saw that Noughty had released this exfoliating scalp scrub, I knew I had to give it a go. The smell is really nice, very clean and herbal, and whilst it definitely does exfoliate, it does not feel abrasive or harsh on the scalp.
I’ve been using it in combination with Noughty’s volume boosting range as my scalp is naturally quite oily and does not like heavy products. I’m happy to say that this scrub has left my scalp looking and feeling so much healthier and essentially flake free, it’s honestly amazing.
I will certainly be purchasing the Detox Dynamo shampoo also — I only wish they made a conditioner in the range to complete the set! Not to mention, it has also left my curls looking fresh and more defined.
Love this! Thoroughly cleans my hair of all the build up from my styling products. You can really feel how cleansed your hair is and ready to take in a good conditioning treatment straight after. Around one to two times a month I use this shampoo followed by deep conditioning treatment then the conditioner.
I have super long curly hair which I straighten most of the time and the condition has improved over the months I have been using this and Noughty’s corresponding products. My hair feels softer and looks shinier and my styling products seem to work better on my hair now.
The smell is good. I always double shampoo. The first time does clean my hair but doing it a second time achieves a really good lather and I know all my strands a fully cleansed. Like I said I have very long curly corse hair which takes a lot of styling product to get where I want it.
But if you naturally have finer or straight hair one shampoo will probably do you. This detox has definitely been a game changer for achieving the hair style I want. My hair has much better body since adding this in to my routine.
Okay so this is the story. I begun an extreme health Journey where I changed everything about myself. This happened very quickly. And just like that I found myself in a whole different headspace. I worried about everything that I put in my body inside and out.
Then I went on a cleanse physically and also spiritually. What does this have to do with shampoo you may say. well for me to go through that change/ cleanse I had to detox. I really also didn’t know that you needed to detox even your hair.
I have used so many unhealthy products and chemicals on my hair that I knew I was in need of detoxifying my hair. A quick Google search and let me do this product. I tried it and my hair felt so clean.
A removed all of the old buildup of product and it left me with my hair feeling very lightweight and bouncy. I feel like I have brand new hair.
This is a hydrating conditioner for dry hair and scalp. It restores moisture balance of dry hair and scalp. It contains sage, geranium and mint which act as herbal therapy for healing and conditioning.

About my hair: The bottom half of my hair is bleached and colored. My hair is wavy/curly and on the thicker side. For about two weeks, my scalp felt VERY oily. I thought it was just adjusting to the changing temperature, but I started becoming self-conscious about wearing my hair certain ways in order to conceal the oiliness.
I contacted my hair stylist, she said it could be due to product build up and recommended this product. IT IS MY NEW HOLY GRAIL HAIR PRODUCT! I don’t know how this isn’t popular, but the turn around of my hair was like magic.
You only need to use a little bit because it lathers extremely well. Also, my hair tends to get a little knotty after but I normally comb it after taking a shower so it’s not a deal breaker for me. Once my hair dries, it feels SO soft and it looks so healthy! I highly encourage everyone to at least try this!.
Love this shampoo!!! A sulfate-free shampoo that makes hair shiny and full of body. Does not weigh down my hair like most shampoo. It is smells terrific. It’s great for cleaning the build-up from hair spray and products that leave a build-up on your hair.
There are many detoxifying shampoos that claim to do what this shampoo actually DOES. My hair feels healthier, softer, and my scalp is so much cleaner. My only complaint is that it’s very hard to find in the Baltimore area, and the price is a little steep, even for this brand, who I’ve been using for 20 years.

I can always tell when any shampoo is expensive- my hair just looks good when they are. Metal Detox, well, that is rather new to me but there must be something true about it because my coloured hair looks shinier and glossier than usual.
The colour seems to be more vibrant too. What I like about this shampoo is its lush formula that lathers extremely well. Also, the scalp feels clean so the shampoo has rather good cleansing properties.
It smells expensive, exactly like it should. What I do not like about it though is the packaging. While I appreciate a simple design on the sticker, I am not a fan of a bottle. Since the formula is rather thick, it is hard to squeeze the shampoo out of the bottle, especially when your hands are wet.
All in all, the shampoo dies work and is pleasant to use.
I will be honest and say that I thought that L’Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Shampoo was not going make a great deal of difference to my hair. It’s always nice to find out that you’re wrong. This stuff is the bomb.
It’s designed to remove metal inside the fibre of your hair, metal from the hair colouring process increases the risk breakage and can make your colour look little bit off. I’m very happy to say that it’s all true! The shampoo smells wonderful with a light citrus fragrance and foam beautifully.
My hair feels nicer after washing, the strands cleaner and a little stronger and when dry and the colour and shine is fantastic. Worth the investment.

My body tends to fight with itself when it comes to shampoos. I have an oily scalp and face but dry skin everywhere else and really dry, coarse hair. What’s good for my scalp will dry out my hair but what’s good for my hair makes my scalp itchy and causes breakouts.
After a recent fail trying a pricier item, I tried this for a week and was pleasantly surprised. It lathers well and balances my scalp without stripping my hair of moisture. After a week, my hair is less frizzy and soft.
Recommended to me by someone because I wanted a shampoo/conditioner that would allow my hot pink hair to last longer. It’s paraben and sulfate free, so it’s good for your hair and doesn’t strip the color as quickly.
It left my hair feeling lighter and softer than any consumer brand shampoo. Also, the company donates soap for every bottle sold!.
