20 Best Detergent For Washing Silk (2023 Updated)

I too bought this detergent to hand wash silk pillowcases. Strong odors really bother me and is certainly not something I want right by my face…and this one passes the test! Very mild, really almost nonexistent once my pillowcases dry.

Like others, I appreciate that it’s free of toxic chemicals and…a little goes a long way so it will last quite some time!.

This wash is doing the job very well! I will only hand wash this Slip pillowcase. Very easy to do. Don’t waste time on machine washing. Gently squeeze out moisture and then roll in a clean towel, then dry flat.

No wrinkles! (Be sure and rinse after washing).

I use this detergent to hand wash my silks. I’m glad this detergent is fragrance-free because I am sensitive to strong odors. I find that there is a little bit of an odor when you’re using the detergent, but the smell is completely gone once the garment is dry.

I will definitely repurchase in the future.

I finally used this detergent, after using my Pink Blissy Silk Pillowcase for a month, and it was awesome! Both my Silk Pillowcases came out soft! But I do have to mention, that it is very difficult to pour the detergent into the little spoon that was given to me.

The liquid was hard to come out, BUT if it flowed TOO EASILY, I would spill it everywhere! And the bottle was too tall for me to grab and pour. I have very unsteady hands, after my accident, so this was very difficult, especially with the placement of the Washing Machine’s Detergent Holder.

(Maybe I’m too short, OR the Washing Machine is too tall!) My Pillowcases did not completely dry in the “air cycle” in “15-minutes,” so I added another, “20-minutes,” to my dryer. They were still damp, so I laid them flat on a towel for a few hours, then onto my pillows! I slept well, without my hair being tangled up! (I shower in the evening, and I do not use Conditioner.

My hair is THAT thick!).

Thos is more about my experience as a new customer as far as the stars go. The product arrived exploded in the mailer. The lid was not on tight. If the product wasnt in a plastic bag it would have ruined my silk pillowcase order.

There wasn’t enough product left to try in a convenient way. The smell is nice. I emailed customer service about the issue. They responded pretty quickly and gave me options ( money back or more detergent).

At first they were going to send me a new bottle to replace right away. Then 3 weeks went by and no product, so I emailed them again. Their response was they are out of the detergent and will ship whenever back in stock.

That was all they said. No coupons for my inconvenience or anything like that. Would have been nice to know this sooner. So now I had to go buy A Woolite to hold me over until they get more product which was more money out of pocket.

I hope the Blissy detergent comes soon.

I didn’t know it was the STRONG lavender it is, I am almost allergic to it and per a phone call to Blissy, I was informed nothing will be done about this. I used only a couple of “squirts” out of it also and when I walked into my laundry room, it was overpowering to me.

I am a VIP member and was most distressed to hear this as I’d planned to give more Blissy pillow cases at Christmas. If you are a business that chooses not to be mindful that your choice customers should be accommodated, I must choose not to do business with you, though I really love your pillow cases.

I didn’t want a refund, but did want a credit. MOST DISAPPOINTED.

A friend of ours who is in the towel manufacturing business recommended we try Le Blanc. I love this detergent! I have the towel wash and the linen wash. They clean well and leave an amazing scent. Our favorite for sheets is Lavender and our favorite for towels is Portfolio.

After using it a few times on my towels they feel softer. As soon as I run out of the grocery store brand I am switching over. It lasts as long, works as well, smells better and better for our skin.

What I found isn’t the same size but this is some of the best laundry fragrance additive ever!! The fragrance actually lasts for weeks after doing laundry. I like it better than the fragrance beads that you shake into your washer.

My towels especially smell wonderful after using it. I use it for my other laundry also. I came across it at a discount shop and it is fabulous. I got it at a great price and I haven’t been able to find it locally so I don’t know what it originally sold for.

I have le Blanc in the linen wash, the clothes wash, and the towel wash. I would NEVER use anything else again. It cleans and makes everything smell fresh like nobodies business. But yet it is not harsh, so your items will last much longer than if you use any other laundry detergent.

Ever bought new towels and have them discolor? Buy the le Blanc towel wash and this will never happen again. It sets the dye in the towels. Dingy looking sheets? Get the linen wash. The more you use it, the more it brightens your linens.

It may seem expensive, but you only need 1/4 cup for a large load. And it (gently) works better than anything else I have tried. Nothing harsh about this stuff.

I’ve used Ecover products for very many years and have never had a complaint before. I’m seriously considering trying a different brand of laundry liquid as the bottle without a handle presents such difficulties.

I decanted the liquid from the ridiculously-shaped new bottle into a sensible old one with a handle and managed to spill a quantity while doing so due to the crazy design of the new bottle! So it was a waste of some of my money.

Did you consult with people with difficulties with holding things, such as those with arthritis? I have arthritis in my hands, although not as badly as many – I’ll have to ask someone to decant the next bottle I order for delivery – if I do bother to order it again.

I’m sure it looks modern and smart but if it’s too difficult to pour from and isn’t inclusive, then the design has failed totally.

Every time when I was doing the washing, every time I hate the new bottle design! Purchased many times but this is the second bottle for the new bottle design. I am thinking to switch to other brand! It is so irritating that I can’t hold the bottle with one hand when pouring the liquid! And each time after poured, I need to quickly use my finger to wipe the detergent off to stop it running to the outside of the bottle! Then quickly turn the cap close and wash my hand! This means I need a surface to let the bottle to sit on to wipe the leakage, and I have to clean the surface afterward.

So troublesome just to pour a washing detergent!.

I have a 14 month old boy and I can use this for all our clothes as it’s sensitive on skin too. I also love the modern unusual shape of the bottle. Even better is that my local greengrocers do refills of Ecover products do I can use it again and again without wasting plastic.

Read a lot of reviews on Linen Wash and was impressed, so I thought I’d give it a try. Product arrived promptly. Have used it a couple of times per instructions. cold water, 2 oz per medium sized load, used on high end cotton sheets and pillow cases.

My washing machine is not one of the new HE types. just an ordinary every day type. Results do not match the hype. I ordered the lavender Linen Wash with the hopes of having a lingering lavender fragrance in addition to a hoped for different feel.

Got none of the hoped for results. My impressions of the product. not worth the additional cost. I’ll stick with what I have been using. I’m disappointed.

The bottle is also 100 percent recyclable; not only is the plant based washing liquid kinder to the environment, so is the bottle it comes in!.

As winter creeps in, i’ve been wearing more wool, with the hats scarves and jumpers coming back into rotation. I usually just chuck these items in with a usual wash, even though I know it’s not the best way to care for them, and try and wash them less frequently if I can.

This Persil Silk and Wool is what I should’ve been using! It leaves my wool items soft, clean and fresh and the fragrance is lovely. Hopefully it’ll keep my wool items in better condition for longer too.

I’ve also tried out the handwash setting on my washing machine, using the washing liquid, and the items have come out great.

This is an amazing product if you have delicates which you do not want to wash with regular powders or liquids. I purchased a wool cardigan years ago and washed it on a wool cycle using ordinary powder.

Although it washed, I felt it had ruined the feel of it. So I thought let me try to see if this liquid will help. I must admit it hasn’t regained the original feel but it has helped it so much. I love it again.

I’m very happy to say that this will be part of my collection now and I will use this in future for all my delicate clothing.

I absolutely love the laundry wash for my silk pillows. I use it along with the silk pillow wash bag and it leaves my pillows soft, silky, and smells so beautiful! Even my partner complimented them, even though he thinks I have gone all “silk crazy”.

Only a little bit is required, and it goes along way!.

I purchased a pillow case, eye mask, laundry bag and laundry wash from Shhh Silk. I am extremely pleased with all of them! I have found the silk pillow case and eye mask not only help me get to sleep faster, they feel wonderful against my skin.

And for me, my hair looks much better in the morning (no bed head:-). Be aware that it takes quite a few weeks for your purchases to get to you–not the fault of Shhh Silk, just the postal processes.

But the wait is worth it for the value of the products. Thanks Shhh Silk!.

Perfect for handwashing my silk pillowcase and such a lovely scent. Just gently handwash and leave to soak before rinsing out and laying flat on a wire rack to dry inside. There was even a faint lingering scent when I went to sleep that first night.

TranslateShow in original languageKlare Kaufempfehlung! Im Rahmen eines Produkttests durfte ich das Coral Optimal Color Flüssigwaschmittel testen. Da ich sehr viele Markenoberteile mit speziellem Waschmittel waschen muss, war ich sehr gespannt auf das Coral.

Es ließ sich gut dosieren. Der Duft ist sehr angenehm, die Wäsche wurde gut sauber, die Farben bleiben strahlend, kein Auswaschen oder Ausbluten. Auch der Stoff fühlte sich gut weich, aber nicht zu überpflegt an.

Ein einziges Manko, bei hartnäckigen Flecken ist es nicht kraftvoll genug, aber gut es ist kein Vollwaschmittel.
