Pros: True to size, and comfortable to wear. Gel padding is great for very long rides. Thigh grips aren’t so tight they tear your skin, but don’t get weird and loose, it’s just right, I was shocked they were so comfortable.

The waist didn’t roll down on the ride either or get uncomfortable. CONS: THEY ARE 100% SEE THROUGH. Do not wear these alone and if you do make certain you’re wearing black underwear. These are NOT bike shorts, they are liners you can wear under shorts even though I was convinced they were when I shopped.

The material is thinner than the liners I actually own. You can see EVERYTHING. So beware. Other than that I 10/10 love these since they are comfortable and that gel pad will let you ride 100 miles a day in comfort.

Needed a long ride endurance bib short with a high quality chamois and this is great. Love the blue curve design. Rear pocket was a great place to stash my phone. Love the composition, stretch and weight of the fabric.

I was a little surprised. The fit/cut was surprisingly generous – a rare and tiny bit too generous. I bought 3XL but I think 2XL might have been perfect. Based on this single purchase, I wonder if this product runs a tad big (?).

The Aero Tech Men’s Endurance Cycling Bid Short has proven to be the bib for me. After experiencing a few saddle sores. I decided to spend a little more money on my bibs. Not only does this bib keep me comfortable for 5 or 6 hours of cycling.

It also isn’t a bad price at this performance level. Compared to some higher priced bib products, this bib keeps up with them. The made in America is also a plus. Not having to guess what size I am from competing importing companies helps out immensely.

That being said. Even though I’m a Large 5’9 , 34 -35 waist, and 190 lbs. I found the Medium to be the perfect fit. I can’t give this product a FIVE STAR rating yet because I’ve only worn them for a few rides.

I’m waiting to see how they hold up. I hand wash in warm, and let air dry. So you might want to purchase 2 pairs. You won’t be disappointed.

I purchased these to round out my bib collection. They are solid build and I love the attention to detail that POC does. Overall happy with these but have noticed they do fit a little more snug than some of my other bibs.

Not a bad thing just a little higher in the crotch at the front. I like the mesh full back on these and the height of the front panel is good if my jersey rides up. I’d buy them again. Will see if they feel better as I drop a few pounds.

These are very comfortable shorts. I really like the flat, seam-free bib straps. They are probably the most comfortable pair of bib shorts I have ever owned. The only downside is I wish the padding was a little bit thicker.

Its not a problem for shorter rides, but for longer ones they become a bit uncomfortable in the saddle.

i was biking in this bib the whole summer and was wearing it on a 4 weeks gravel bike packing trip every day. The materials, pad and fit are great nothing to complain here. it drys super quick over night so perfect for bike packing as well.

Performance its really a five star product, all materials and trims are well picked and high end. The only reason i reduced one star is the shape of some cutlines. Yes it is mainly about performance but dont we all want to look good on the bike as well? i personally felt some of the cutlines (back yoke and front side seam) are not placed really charming for women, not super obvious for others as the bib is black but still a bit sad as i loved biking in this bib.

Great bibs for long trips. I usually ride 90-130 km at a time, these bibs are good. Very happy that GORE is using the new sizing grid. Since I’m thin and tall, the bibs now fit me very snugly. The straps are long enough that I can’t feel them while riding.

The seat stays in place. The seat sweats at the highest level. The reduced size of the logo compared to the long distance version looks much better. But I am saddened by the reduced Inseam length. Since I’m tall, the bibs are about 2-3 inches short to look like the pro tour riders (up to the knee).

Maybe GORE should start making a Long version like some other premium brands do. My hip (90cm) and waist (75cm) measurements are exactly on the border between small and medium size. I’ve tested both, and the small fits better.

The other well-known brands have the small with straps that are too short, which prevents me from wearing their bibs. And the medium size, due to the waist and hips being too wide, usually rubbed on me on long trips.

There are no such problems with GORE bibs, so I completely switched to using only their bibs.

I bought this short around 2 weeks ago. Overall is a good short for a quick ride. But I wouldn’t describe it as a comfortable short. There’s a zigzag stitching that holds the padding part that is very uncomfortable in a long run.

I think is fine for 1 hour, but after that you start feeling it pinching. I bought this one and another one for my wife (the women’s model) and both have this flimsy look and very poor finishing. Very disappointed.

The padding is good, the fit is also ok and the design is nice. The only very disappointing part is this internal sewing that holds the padding. Gore wear should review it quickly. I have found several other cheap brands with better finishing than this one.

I was expecting way more from this brand.

A bit disappointed with the fitting and materials. The bib is extremely tight on the leg grippers and lose at the uppers. I was expecting the front panels to be fully windstopper material, whereas in fact, the only difference for a regular shorts is that the material around the groins is fleeced.

The padding is comfortable. Please, note that the size is not US size. I bought S, but they are XS in US size.

I have been using the liner shorts constantly for just over a month, they are well ventilated via panels located just below the waist band and sides leg panels. The construction appears to be of high quality and leg grippers work well without being overlay tight.

I tend to ride in a slightly more upright position, about 60 degree and the pad works well although after five hours in the saddle life starts to get a little more uncomfortable. So why four stars; The pad shape for me is a little too wide and causes rubbing against the inner thigh, this may be unfair, the pad could soften in time, also I would have liked the pad to be a little bit firmer in the sit bone area for those six hour plus days.

Very comfortable, great padded chamois, very happy with these. I’m thin and I love the padding. The fit is amazing, great design. Just the right amount of friction on my Fizik saddle (my previous shorts were slippery).

Had them a few months, do several hard one hour rides a week. In previous century I wore wool shorts with leather chamois. My last recent pair were cheap Performance Bike shorts. These Sugoi Evolutions are a huge improvement.

I haven’t tried any other shorts in this price range, but I’d venture to say that shorts in the $100-150 range are worth the price and are just way better than any $50 shorts. I think these run small, and would suggest that if your waist is near the top of a range, go for the next larger size.

(Me 30-31″ waist, size small was way too small, but medium is great.

Top quality cycling short. The fabric gives good support. I like the invisible padding. The waist needs to be an inch higher on the front tummy. I wish that the elastic waistband had a bit more stretch and not so tight around my waist.

It is a bit uncomfortable as other customers have commented. Going up a size would be too big elsewhere. These are still my favorite shorts. The length is perfect. Please make the waistband elastic more forgiving and stretchy on future shorts and a bit higher at the front.

I have been wearing the same size women’s bike shorts (medium) for the last 34 years. (I am a size 6, 29-30 waist with muscular thighs, small waist and little belly fat). I understand compression and appreciate it for long rides, but the sizing chart is all wrong.

I could barely get them on. If you fork out $150+ for this, I would recommend sizing up. I am 5’6-1/2 inches with longer legs (~33″ inseam) and this short seems to run plenty long enough (hitting me just above knees).

Padding does looks quite substantial for long rides. It was an REI Outlet item, but I am still disappointed REI did not specify that it runs small.

Bought medium the first time super small, all thought the select liners in a medium fit great. The cargo short liner, just doesn’t cut the mustard. The large pair actually fit ok in the waist and legs, but the pad is horrible.

For whatever reason, the pad has a big crease down the center that goes directly up your crack. Very uncomfortable, I wore them for maybe a min or 2 around the house, and sit on the bike seat in the garage.

The cargo liners just aren’t comfortable. I bought a medium and large 2 different orders. On order 2 I also purchased the select liners from Pearl Izumi, they are very comfortable and the medium size fits like it should.

Try if you want to, but my experience with these specific liners from PI was not pleasant.

I avoided buying the Quest shorts because of declining reviews in recent months due to poor-quality padding, but looks like these have been hit with the same cost-cutting affliction. No contoured seam or sculpting here, just a huge piece of constant-thickness foam with a super cheap zigzag seam.

This seam allows the edge of the foam to lift and chafe against my inner thighs when off the saddle, since the lack of sculpting keeps the padding from folding properly around body contours. These are going back to REI posthaste – not worth even half their price.

There really ought to be an image of the padding on any pair of bike shorts retailing online. Had I seen these in person, I never would have bought them in the first place. Too bad – always thought PI was a good brand until now.

The last Pearl Izumi cycling shorts I bought have at least 4,000 miles on them. I machine wash them, dry them in the dryer, and otherwise generally don’t take superb care of them. They are still unbelievably comfortable.

I bought the Attack shorts for occasional use with an indoor bike in another city, thinking they would be similarly great… they are not. The overall feel is just cheap and rigid. The chamois is not contoured, and feels sort of like sitting on a piece of styrofoam.

If these were half the cost, I’d understand, but they are priced like a decently upper-mid-level product. Going to try something else next.

I decided to try bibs for the first time after 20 years of using exclusively “regular” cycling shorts. I have never had a problem with regular cycling short fit or comfort so this was more of a “try it to see what all the fuss is about”.

For reference, I am 6ft tall and right around 200lbs with 34inch waste and a 33 inch inseam. As you will see in other review, buy these big. Given my proportions noted above, I bought 2 sizes bigger (XXL) than I would normally buy (L) in clothing and it was a good call.

That size fits comfortably, including the shoulder straps. It is “compression snug” through the main part of the short. The one thing I would change would be to make them a little shorter, I find these fit longer than my preference, but I knew this when I bought it as I had seen references in other reviews.

The shorts stayed comfortable throughout a 2. 5 indoor trainer ride where almost all the time is spent in the saddle, so the chamois is well designed. As for the bib, don’t mind it, but I definitely find it warmer than regular shorts, especially for indoor riding.

As noted above, I have never had an issue with fit on regular shorts so not sure I am sold on the bib concepts, but didn’t mind it. Overall, a solid short that I would consider purchasing again.

I’m 175cm, 77kg. S/M in other brands, Castelli’s size chart put me between a Medium and Large. Tried both and decided to keep the medium, the chamois area of the Large had too much space. Potentially enough to cause chaffing and the leg inseam was too long.

Medium is noticeably tighter but the fit felt better in the crotch and leg inseam was perfect. Only complaint is the chamois area felt “short” in the front. Chamois at this price point is unbeatable in my opinion, you get Castelli’s best chamois which is also one of the better ones on the market too.

On to the straps. The straps for both the medium and large definitely feel tight/short when you’re just standing in the bibs. But in my experience, when riding there is zero chaffing, discomfort, or pulling.

I also don’t use a base layer so the straps sit directly on my skin. I’ve used them for about 12 rides ~350kms now, I’m happy with them.

I received a pair of Castelli Endurance shorts that appear to have been returned by another customer. When I looked inside the shorts, there were flakes of skin on the chamois and all over the inside of the bib.

It was a bit disgusting to have paid for a brand new product that had been tried and returned, then resold. After washing them, I can say that they are a great short and the chamois Progetto Air X2 is much nicer than the Kiss Air2 chamois in my Competizione Bib Shorts.

The leg grippers are better and are a bit longer onto the knee. The material is comfortable, thick, and feels durable. No issues with the strap, and their mesh design is comfortable and helps cool quicker.

Great shorts for the money. I just wish I received a brand new pair.

Very comfortable and the material is wonderful on the skin. They are superb in warm weather, the fit is close, the straps are a comfortable material and you barely know you’re wearing them. I’m not convinced the pad is exceptional, certainly it is good but at this price point is it better than my C3’s? The jury is out.

My only other point, and I’m being super critical because of the price, is the windstopper to the front. For me, I don’t do Alpine descents at speed and can’t see the need for this chill protection when the shorts are primarily for warmer weather.

I found it restrictive on the man bits and it tightens the front somewhat more than I was comfortable with. So I’ve cut it out and it makes the difference for me. Fortunately, the material isn’t sheer.

When I first pulled them out of the packaging, I was surprised by how thin and light they are. Especially the shoulder straps. They are super thin and don’t dig into the shoulders. The leg fabric section is super thin, a lot like other brands 2′ wide leg gripper fabric, but that fabric is used as the whole leg fabric and with a thin strip of silicone to keep them in place.

Your legs don’t get the pinched feeling at the end of the shorts. It’s hard to see the design in the photos. Had one 45 mile ride on them so far, 98+ degree day. Never felt hot and the chamois was very comfortable.

For a lightweight summer short, construction is solid. These should last a long time.

So full disclosure. I am not a cat 1, 10% body fat racing snake. I’m 6’6”, 97kg and only threaten Strava cups on downhill tail wind segments. But I do share with the fast boys the desire to keep improving my performance on the bike.

So that was one of the main reasons why I decided to try the new Gore Wear bib shorts, after a history of using mid range shorts from the likes of dhb and Pearl Izumi. First impressions were impressive.

The shorts were beautifully presented in a box (perhaps slightly overkill in today’s waste-conscious world) which immediately gave a premium feel to the product, and provided lots of information on the design, history and the involvement of Fabian Cancellara.

I was immediately struck by how light the shorts were, but any concern about weakness in the fabric was dispelled when I picked them up – the material is thin but feels strong and sleek and professional.

The shorts fit really well – I went for XL and think that was the right choice. They are a firm fit but don’t feel like they are squeezing the life out of you – there is no restriction on movement Two minor areas for improvement (I am being heightist!) – the front of the shorts is cut low so my top does need to be long to ensure no gap, and the straps are on the tight side.

Out on the bike the positive vibe continues. I might be guilty of faint praise – but they are so comfortable you just don’t feel anything to comment on. Which tells me a lot of thought and testing has gone into the construction of the shorts and the materials used.

I haven’t done any massive distances in them yet – at most 2 hours riding – but that view stands as well at the end of the ride as the start. So overall these are a superb pair of shorts. And whilst others could argue about the number of watts saved with the advanced design and materials, I have no doubt I feel faster and look better on the bike.

And you can’t ask for much more than that from a pair of bib shorts!.

I’ve been cycling on and off for years, but I have never bought any specific cycling shorts with a chamois. Now that I am getting more serious into fitness riding and aiming to ride longer than 40km in one go, it has been recommended to me over and over to get cycling specific apparel, most especially chamois shorts.

I went with bibs as I am not as slim as I used to be, and the thought of a Lycra waist band digging into my gut while riding was a big turn off. LG is a cycling brand I have seen around since when I was a kid.

I was told to spend as much as I could on a pair of cycling shorts to get the best quality I could afford. These prices aren’t cheap, but I guess you do get what you pay for. I ordered size XXL. I am 6’0”, 220lbs, with a waist size of 46” and hip size of 45”.

While I do bulge out slightly in the waist, these bibs are very elastic, and fit comfortably. I have ridden 100km+ in them so far with no digging into my shoulders, and no riding up on my thighs. The padding on the chamois isn’t the thickest on the market, but I don’t look like I am wearing a diaper, or like a baboon, when I’m off the bike as there is no bulkiness visible down there.

If you’re not that accustomed to riding much, your sit bones may still require time to get used to sitting on your saddle, even with shorts like these. For me, my sit bones are just getting used to my extra 30kg of padding around the waist compared to when I last rode seriously.

At least I don’t have any chaffing issues (DO NOT WEAR ANY UNDERWEAR WHILE USING CYCLING SHORTS). I recommend this product.

Have worn these twice. Each ride was 2 hours indoors with my bike on the trainer. I have 2 other pairs of shorts of comparable price for longer rides. These are easily the most comfortable. No sore spots.

The back end of the chamois doesn’t catch on the saddle nose when standing. With Chicago weather in January and February I can’t tell if they will be cool in the summer. Inexpensive shorts are good for an hour or so.

Can’t wait to try them outside.

At the top of all cycling shorts that I have had over the years. Good compression but not tight. Excellent fit. Waist is long enough so they pull up nicely on your torso instead of bunching at the waist.

The texture looks cool and feels cool on the skin. Length is perfect – I find many shorts seems too long these days and run almost to my knee caps. Not having grippers on the legs is not an issue. Glad I took a chance on my first Gatineau shorts.

Wanted something light and comfortable to wear under a pair of shorts. I enjoy easy access to pockets on certain types of rides. This bib is everything I hoped it would be, light, excellent quality and mostly, comfortable.

Fits well, ordered a medium. Will definitely buy again.

The fit was forgiving and true to size and had no pressure points at all (5’8″ ordered size medium). However the chamois seatpad didn’t provide much comfort. I eventually ordered a more expensive and different branded bib.

I have two pairs of these liners. They are comfortable and seem well made, plus they are a great bargain. They work perfectly under my MTB shorts or knickers.

Recently tried Endura at the recommendation of a friend. I was also attracted by reviews about their workmanship, low-profile logos, and simple design. Putting these on out of the box I noticed the high quality material.

But also noticed the tight straps which worried me considering the thing I hated about my Castellis was the straps chaffed my nipples if I didn?t wear a base layer on hot days. Rode these a couple times and found the straps to be okay, but compression on the thighs to be tight enough to leave rings on my skin afterward.

Might have been able to get used to all this, but eventually the deal breaker was when I noticed stitching starting to come apart along the exterior of the chamois. May have just gotten a lemon pair, but there was enough to dislike regardless that I returned and switched to another well-known slightly more expensive hipster brand that I?ve been much happier with.

Having the Endura Pro SL which I find very comfortable and then buying these, there is just to much of a difference for me to be comfortable with. The “straps” amount to two cords on each side given the fabric between them is completely unable to keep them separated.

The result is the cords on each side slide towards each other as they pass the chest, and then just about come together at the shoulder. The material between the cords has nowhere to go other than bulge out.

I suppose if you somehow have trapezius muscles that are flat across rather than sloped and smaller pecks they may work, but not happening for me. The pad is huge so if that is your thing then these may be for you.

It did seem like it is a better quality pad but it there was too much bulk in the front, and the rear is so big is made me look like I had a short duck tail. Unlike the Pro SL, the bib is supportive in the lower abs (Pro SL is waist-high in the front).

Legs seemed like they would have been fine for both grip and length. When I buy bike clothes I use real measurements, not the size of my pants or shirt/jacket. I then make sure I buy the size that every applicable measurements fits in.

These were the correct size doing it that way. I am short with an athletic build Hips 37 Natural waist 33. 5 (size 28 in street pants) Chest 37. 5 (jacket size 38S) Biceps 13. 5.

Bought these to replace my worn out Clickfast pair that I bought a good few years ago, that came part of my Single track Shorts. Are they better than the Clickfast liner. ?? Well yes and No. Let me explain, Sizing, I bought a large, I’m 34″+ waste and the fit was good.

I would say if you’re lean and less than 34″ wast, go for a medium. The chamois is more cushioning and does offer more comfort than the ‘Single tracks’ that there replacing. Now the part that’s not so good in my opinion and that’s the ‘Thigh’ sizing.

it’s a little larger / slacker. I wish they were just a tad tighter but this is just a minor gripe. Hope this info helps if your in the market for a pair, I generally find Endura stuff to be very good value for money and personally have quite a bit of there gear.

The Danish Endurance Bib cycling shorts for men came in size XL and fit me perfectly. I am 1. 90 m tall, I wear pants of width 36 and I usually wear shirts and jackets in size XL. I regularly ride MTB, both shorter tours with a lot of vertical meters or longer tours with correspondingly fewer elevation meters.

The bib is made of thinner fabric than my other bibs by Gore and Schöffel, but still makes a valuable impression. The workmanship with flat seams is flawless. The straps are made of mesh fabric and easily hold the bib in place without cutting into the shoulders.

The seat pad is of a more simple design as the padding is made of more simple foam and not of higher quality PU foam or gel. But it’s still good enough for me, as I also know the thin leather inserts from the past and therefore have no problem with them even on longer tours.

However, sensitive butts could have their problems with this and therefore only use the bib for shorter tours. For the price, however, the offered is absolutely sufficient!.

I’m new to the world of road biking, Lycra etc. been mountain biking for the last 30 years without any spandex in sight. However after a night on the drink, I somehow signed up to 100 mile race to the sun event in the summer.

So I bought the bike now have to buy the MAmil outfit to go with it. Bought these bib shorts mainly because of f the price and because of their environmental ethos, and I’m well impressed. Really comfy even after 50 mile rides in the saddle (so far).

Don’t know how my *** will fare with ole ring sting after 100 miles but I’m hopeful.

I’ve bought a few pairs of cheap bib shorts on Amazon over the last few months, for wearing on the turbo trainer. I originally ordered XL in these, but returned them as they weren’t tight fitting. A large was a better fit on me 34” waist 82kg 5 10’.

They aren’t assos but the pad is comfy and the stitching isn’t rough like the FDX ones which rubbed skin off.

I wish I could comment on the performance, durability etc. – only I can’t. The size chart is a work of fiction. My hips are 84 cm measured as per instructions. By Decathlon’s chart this puts me at the bottom of XS, which is already alarming – at 170 cm tall and 65 fairly lean kg I am usually at the top of S or bottom of M.

So I got an S after reading the reviews. And you know what. I can’t even put one leg over my thigh, nevermind putting the whole thing on. It’s way, way off’; we’re not talking ‘snug’ or even ‘too tight’ – it’s impossible to put them on.

So I’m scratching my head what to do now – these are going back, no two ways about it. But then what? Shall I keep sponsoring Decathlon’s already overpriced delivery by trying them one size up at a time?.

Decathlon folks, listen, if you’re reading this, sort your size chart out. It’s so widely off, you can’t write it off to ‘individual differences’ or something like that – it’s just on a different planet to being even approximately accurate.

I suspect I need an L (compared to XS as your chart says – THREE sizes up!!!), but do I want to waste my time and money on trial and error just because you can’t pull a size chart together? So overall, not a great experience so far.

I should look around in other places before re-ordering a larger size of these. Shame, really – the first cock up with Decathlon in about 15 years of buying from them.

Switched to bibs for both road and mountain a long time ago, just way more comfortable. I had been using the Pearl Izumi bib liners but found the chamois seriously lacking for longer rides, my road bibs are vastly better.

I found these and decided to try something new based on reviews. Much better quality and chamois, it’s thicker and more contoured, plus it’s cheaper. Have done 4+ hour rides without issue. It also isn’t completely mesh like the P.

I. bibs, the front and rear are lycra. Why is this important? Well, if you change after a ride like I do you can drop your baggies first without showing everyone what a hotdog stuck in a fishnet looks like.

Eww. For reference I’m 6’1″ with a 31/32″ waist and medium fits great, true to size coming from P. I. Going to order another pair most likely. Giro if you read this, I’d be willing to pay $120 for even further nicer chamois and a zippered pocket for my cell phone and/or keys.

One of my favorite cycling bib shorts. Minimal soreness after >40miles ride. I’m 5’1 and 112lb-size small fits perfect. The gripper at the bottom works well; it is not too tight. Can’t beat the sale price and since my size was available again, I bought another 4 extra pairs.

Highly recommend whether it’s on sale or not!!!.

I wanted to love the bibs. They were affordable, comfortable and the fly feature was great. Unfortunately a seam on the left side of the crotch blew out after only 2 weeks. I had maybe 300 miles in them before the hole formed.

Bummer! I guess that’s what I get for buying $100 bibs.

The Sugar short were my favorite shorts due to the shorter length and the fit. The pad is minimal so know that but I prefer a thinner pad so they have always worked for me. I have always worn size small so ordered small but they were TINY! I mean like you’d have to be a skinny pre-teenag tiny! I returned them and ordered a medium.

I am not sure what changed but they are NOT comfortable in that I feel like I’m in a sausage casing! The legs are tight and squeeze the skin to the point I didn’t know I had cellulite but it definitely creates it with how tight they are.

I do like the high waist and it didn’t dig in at all which was nice. I am stuck with them unfortunately as I wore them and they didn’t work out. I’m not the person who returns worn items, especially bike shorts.

I wish they hadn’t changed whatever design they had previously as it’s almost impossible to find a short length bike short.

The two (BIG) issues I have with these shorts are: 1) Like another reviewer, I had to check multiple times that these were in fact men’s shorts and not women’s. There is absolutely zero accommodation up front! They might fit a eunuch, but not an adult male without severe compression.

Have never had this a pair of cycling shorts before. Not ergonomic at all. 2) The chamois is comically large with a terribly crude sewing pattern that is causing me a lot of chaffing at the edges of the stitching, especially up front at the top of each leg.

I rarely, if ever review products, but I’m so dissatisfied with these shorts that I just had to in this case. It looks like the construction of these shorts has changed in the last year or so because most older reviews are good, and many recent ones are not.

My new old favorites. I’ve had a pair of classic bib shorts for more than a decade. Mostly took them out for “special” rides, preferring a couple of pairs of lighter weight and more lightly padded bibs from another trusty brand.

But lately I’ve been turning to these more on my every day rides. I wasn’t won over by the thickness and location of the pad for a long while. But recently find that location and pad thickness are actually perfect, despite my initial impressions.

Now, the only thing that’s changed is me – size, age, power, preferred routes. We’re these perfect the whole time? Probably. I ordered a fresh pair recently. If anything the quality has improved. I do wish Rapha would offer a long-inseam version for these or the Core short like they do in the Pro Team.

(I have long femurs. Inseam will be just fine for you…) For that matter, it would be super helpful to have inseam measurements on the product page… So, it took a minute, but these are my every day bib now.

Because isn’t every ride special?.

I have a few gripes with these bib shorts. First, the tightness of the thighs. I am on the upper end of S by waist and solidly size S by hips, but I ordered a M for extra comfort in the torso. I have strong thighs (as do many bikers) and these are very difficult to get on—that shouldn’t be the case! Second, the pad is stiff and bulky.

Maybe that’ll improve with use, but it should feel natural from the get-go, not completely like a diaper. Third, it squeaks. The fabric rubs against my saddle and feels. slippery? I think it makes a noise as it’s rubbing, which is annoying, and which none of my other shorts have ever done.

There is clear wear on the outer edges of the chamois from those contact points—that shouldn’t happen after just a few rides. My years-old shorts have as much wear underneath as these do. On the plus side, the color is stellar.

The magnetic clasp works well, and they are comfortable from the hips up.

I have been riding in these shorts for a few months, and am very pleased with the performance of the chamois and the other materials in these shorts. They feel invisible when I ride, allowing full range of motion without resistance and never shifting out of place no matter how hard I’m going at it.

They are designed to be skin-fit so an apparent smallness is to be expected, but I am at the very bottom of the size range for XS and I still found them tight to pull on the first few times. They have broken in a bit with use and now go on easier while still offering the very high performance fit.

Now it feels like they’ve adapted to my body and become a perfect second skin that provides great cushioning while I ride. I use them on their own, and also under softshell pants in colder conditions.

In both situations, they feel great and perform very well! I also really appreciate the clean finish on the rear of the shorts, which makes the aesthetic more refined and saves me from striding around the grocery store while people double take at my padded butt.

I’ve been riding with these bibs now for a few seasons and they are my go-to for long days on mixed surface rides. Pockets are great for Gels or bars if you’re in a racing mood. Fit an IPhone XR no problem and keeps it easy to access for those quick photo opportunities.

Bib itself is comfortable and easy to keep clean, no signs of material fatigue after 2 seasons of consistent use! Sizing is tricky with all 7mesh stuff, I typically run a Medium or large in brands like Castelli or Jackaroo but went with a small from these folks and have been happy (albiet a bit on the snug/compression side) Leg length is good – not too long and not short shorts.

This is a quality product from an up and coming Canadian brand that’s well worth the price.

When I put these bibs on, it fits like a glove in my lower region. Having minimal stitching and seamless integration if fabric panels makes these bibs extremely comfy in that I don’t even notice these at all! The chamois in these bibs are extremely well made.

They don’t feel like I’m siting on a diaper. It feels like I’m sitting on a cloud with these. There are two elastic pockets on each thigh area and two other elastic pockets on the back of the bibs. I’ve been a bit worried that the elasticity of the pockets would give out but given that I washed these several times and have done lengthy rides, the pockets still stay true even when I put my phone in either pocket.

As a side note, 7Mesh has some former Arc’Teryx product designers. I may be a little bias, but I do enjoy a lot of their clothing and technicality in their pieces. 7Mesh is no different. Highly recommend for the steep price.

I bought these as an additional set to go with, amongst others, an earlier Altura Progel set that I use for indoor/Zwift cycling. As I was very happy with my previous Altura pair, I wanted to get the same, but they were not available.

Two very similar pairs seemed to be closest match, although difficult to gauge the differences between, but went for this pair. On receiving, I was a little concerned about the higher/taller waist band.

The bottom of the legs were slightly different too, not being elasticated all the way around. They also come with a small zip pocket for a key etc, but as I use these only indoors, not anything that I would use.

Despite my initial concerns about the waist band, these are a small but worthwhile improvement over my originals. The elasticated bottom of the leg is more comfortable, although my leg has changed shape so may be a reflection of that.

I would probably get away with the next size down, but having exact size as previous pair also works just as well. The taller waistband is I think slightly more comfortable too. Overall, very pleased with them and a fair price.

I just wish telling the difference between the different styles was more obvious on the website as, not being a diehard cyclist, I am not aware of some of the subtleties in design.

I have only used these for a short one hour ride, so far, but found them comfortable. Having read the reviews, I picked a medium rather than small, and they fitted perfectly. I am 32 inch waist 34 hip and 15 thigh.

Quality. They seem well made everything was where it should be and we’ll stitched. Time will tell.

These gel pad short tights seem to work well for a good few hours ride. Very good indeed. I’m never sure about tights as I’m more of a commuter or tourer not a racer but I think they are suitable to wear under baggy shorts or on their own depending how streamlined you like to be.
