Best Covenant For Death Knight (2024 Updated)

For those of you who play Death Guard in WH40K you know that there are not many units that provide longer range firepower. This is the Little Daemon Engine That Could. It’s small, but deadly, quick, but durable, and it’s more fun when there are three.

I highly recommend this addition to any Nurgle Space Marine Army.

Pretty awesome model for a very below average cost for a GE product. Very quick to build, colored plastic so youre games arent totally boring while youre in the painting process. The look of the model is great, I wouldnt expect they ever change it.

It’s a decent model for a Death Guard army by itself, but I recommend purchasing them in sets of three as they perform better in squads of three. Just to clarify, that means buying three boxes. They are very reasonably priced and they do a lot in game.

Love Athena games – amazing range and such a good space and knowledgable staff. We’d wanted to add Mephiston to my sons burgeoning blood angels army and we know we can always pop I. To Athena and find what we need.

I wish this mini were larger. It’s got so much personality to it and a larger version would do it so much justice! It does have some tricky spots that require filling, but its worth putting the time into.

Because although it was missing an arm ( which I was able to kitbash) it was clean, undamaged and almost as new. So I really liked it and have enjoyed painting it

Pigment is great, color is great, but in true gw fashion you’re going to be paying more for significantly less when compared to brands like Vallejo. I buy citadel paints sparingly and keep all my main paints other brands, but I really wanted the perfect color for my stink marines this time so I just picked up some citidel.

Well, not really, but if the guys over at Forgeworld Ryza had a say, they would probably recommend this spray. GW’s Leadbelcher is known across the hobby as being one of those essential spray paints, along with Retributor Armour.

Like most GW sprays, it has very strong coverage, adherence, and comes in a large amount. This specific type of spray requires a LOT of agitation before use, though – insufficient shaking leads to risks of having a thin/fluid flow fly out of the can.

The metallic sprays are a lot more forgiving, however, and if you shake it enough and don’t use it in cold temperatures, you’re good!.

Has a great, solid color. Great for mass painting or covering. It does need a bit more instructions on how to properly spray. That way you don’t use it all up quickly, get a smooth coverage, and keep the nozzle clear of dried residue.

Use this to undercoat titans, necrons, etc. Anything that needs to look metallicy: this is what you want to use. Can be use as a primer by itself, coverage is great and smooth. And it’s a dead match for Leadbelcher in a pot, which will save you a lot of work! Leadbelcher -> Nuln oil wash-> drybrush leadbelcher -> drybrush Iron Hands steel.

That’s how metal is done easy, quick, and great looking.

I saw Michael Franzese at Grace Family Church in October and his testimony for Christ was so compelling I went out a bought a few copies to send to prisoners that I do legal advocate work for. Great story, inspiring to the Christian and soon to be one.

Hi everyone. I am halfway through this nearly new looking book. As usual, Hancock is very informative and I really appreciate how much time and energy he put into researching this booK. He asks a lot of very good questions and through much thought and head scratching, he does his best to draw logical conclusion.

Most of them are contrary to the status quo which is something we need more of. He even sprinkled in a little humor. In some ways it’s like reading a technical manual, only a lot more fun. If you like off the beaten path history you will like this.

This book is awesome. Peorple can try criticizing this book however it makes it that much more essential reading. This is the third Graham Hancock Book I am reading as my first Graham Hancock book I read was his collaboration with Robert Bauvel, Talisman.

I then read his work the Fingerprints of the Gods. I am in effect working backwords thru Graham Hancocks most famous works as well as being able to witness his evolution as a writer. You can easily see how his writing has become more and more refined however to read the Sign and the Seal you sense that you are there with Graham Hancock on the ground in a literal literary Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I am not able to put the book down. In reading Grahams books I have gotten to know him as he has prodded me to grow and think, I have been deeply moved by his work. This book is the modern gold standard in the search for the Judaic Lost Ark of Covenant.

You will easily and naturally benefit by reading The Sign and the Seal.

If you like books that teach, entertain and make you think, this is a book for you. The Sign and the Seal is one man’s journey to find answers to what he considers to be the ultimate question – “Where is the ark of the covenant today?”.

Not thin in size or content, the book is 600 pages (515 in the story itself). I found myself repeatedly saying, I wish I could go to the places and see the things he was writting about while following a long, old trail of what happened to the ark after it left the temple.

Hancock’s writing style is very conversational – it is like he was sitting in the room with you and either talking to you or thinking out loud; so it is not a college professor’s first choice for style.

But that is one reason why it is enjoyable. Topics it covers: Solomon’s Temple, the Ark, life at during time, a wide region of Eygpt and the middle east, connections between regional and cultural beliefs, and the Knights Templar.

Good book, worth spending the time reading, at the end you will come away with thinking the phase “Enjoyable, worthwhile and not surprising ending. ” Mike Moore staff writer for On The Trail magazine author (Heroes to Me, Rocky Mountain Album and Life in the Far West) well over 110 articles published nationally.

It’s a tie for me between Deathwatch Veterans, and Sanguinary Guard for my favourite Space Marine models. But when it comes to sheer violence, they got bolters, they’ve got tactical smart missiles, phase-plasma pulse rifles, RPGs, we got sonic electronic ball breakers! We got nukes, we got knives, sharp sticks.

Great kit, lots of bits for tripping out your other models.

Definitely a kit that defines variety. There are plenty of options that can give you a powerful squad and so much left over for kitbashes, if you are for that. You will not be disappointed!

Fit exactly as required over marine shoulders. Cutout helps with odd fits/arm bends.

Great Games Workshop set. The models are very well sculpted and each Terminator has a unique look to them. Very easy to magnetize all the weapon arms as well as all the combi-weapon options (I used 2mm x 1mm magnets for this).

In-game wise they’re very strong at the moment and any Death Guard player would benefit from a box or two of these.

These models are some of my favorite Death Guard models, and being able to obtain them was fantastic and they’re slowly coming together as a coherent group of awesome models.

I love the “In Death” series of books! Lieutenant Eve Dallas and her team keep you glued to page after page as they solve murders. Good suspense and realistic dialogue!

Nora Roberts comes thru again with another exciting book in the death series. Romance, lust, witch craft, suspense, death and more abound in book #5. I liked it, just as I liked the other death books.

But never guessed the ending. Worth reading if you like the author.

The JD Robb (Nora Roberts) ‘In Death’ series is a futuristic take on romantic murder/mystery. I love the entire JD Robb (Nora Roberts) ‘In Death’ series. I love the characters; their interactions, the futuristic view and the murder mystery.

This series is an on-going story from book to book. I love that. It’s still Nora Roberts at her best; just another side of her writing creativity.

Perfectly suited to the needs of the Death Guard Vectorum in our household.

Great item for a great price. Looks great and in game is an absolute beast. A bit costly in both price and in game points, but well worth it. Great for fighting other knights!

Unlike a lot of Warhammer miniatures. This kit is built in a way that allows for a lot of movement in it’s parts. A wonderful addition to my army in Warhammer 40,000.

Very nice figures. Almost no mold lines or warping at all. Shipping was pretty slow. The order spent nearly a week processing.

Yup the Death Knight’s sword was quite flaccid upon arrival. Hopefully some hot water will allow this Knight to rise in glory once again.

Both of the minis look great painted and have served their purpose well, the only slight problem is that the helmed horror’s sword is a little bent. overall really worth the money and one of my favorite things ive ordered here.

This box of Death Guard Blightlord Terminators were definitely new in box!

They’re cool nobby terminators with lots of gribbly bits and gross detail.

I liked it a lot. I enjoy the concept of Gloom, and this is the same basic gameplay, with a Cthulhu theme. Each player gets a family/group, and their goal is to make them as insane as possible, and kill them off (yes you kill off your own people) when they are at their most insane by laying clear modifier cards on top of their player portraits.

However many insanity points a character has at the time of their death transfers to that player’s score. As an opponent, your job is to play cards that will lower your opponents’ characters’ insanity score, and kill them off when they’re at their sanest to block that player from reaping the points.

There are also story cards, and if you’re able to meet the demands of the card, you can claim it as your own! Perhaps one of the best aspects of Gloom is the storytelling. Each card has an event, but the idea behind Gloom and Cthulhu Gloom, is to tell a story of what happened with that card.

So rather than just play a card that says “Was Followed By Fungi”, you would actually tell the group a brief story of how your character was out in the woods one night, enjoying the crisp Autumn air, when suddenly he heard a twig snap.

had that odd shadow been there before? A strong damp smell permeated his nostrils, a familiar smell, like mushrooms pushing through the ground after an early morning rain shower. And so on and so forth.

Tell the story! Make it fun and creepy and terrifying! It’s half the joy of the game. The one star was taken off only because of the content, and how closely the game sticks to its source material. I LOVE Lovecraft Mythos.

I have read most of his short stories, and know his lore pretty well. This game is a genuine love letter to Lovecraft. Why does it lose a star then, if it’s so true to the stories? Because you almost have to be a big Lovecraft fan to play.

I played with a group of five, and was the only person in the room who’d read Lovecraft. Two of the group had never even heard of Cthulhu (which sounds impossible, as ubiquitous as he is in gaming and on the internet!).

They were absolutely lost. If your friends are a bunch of Lovecraft hounds? Then you slap that fifth star right at the end and enjoy the heck out of this game. But if terms like Shoggoth, Miskatonic, Innsmouth, Dunwich, or R’lyeh confuse you, or if names like Herbert West, Randolph Carter, Charles Dexter Ward and Yog-Sothoth don’t make you giggle with madness? This game will likely be completely lost on you, and confuse you entirely.

Fun and engaging Lovecraft themed card game where you win by making your characters endure horrible horrific fates leading them to their untimely deaths! Thwart your friends or family by guiding them to live happy and healthy lives.

The game play is not as complicated as it seems; you will control a family that is composed of five characters and you will have a hand of cards. When it is your turn, you will make at most two plays unless you get free plays from modifiers or events.

Just follow the premise aforementioned and learn to play as you go. Everything will make sense. And, remember to get into character and into the story telling aspect with the game. The artwork is well done! Top drawer! Very much apropo to the theme! The transparent cards are well made.

I actually would like to see more cards like so in the future for other card games as well. Overall, an enjoyable table top card game for Lovecraft enthusiasts or fans of Gloom.

This is a wonderfully fun card game to play with creative friends! We love all of the Gloom decks we have had the chance to play with. Cthulhu Gloom seems to be the favorite (though it is difficult to say for sure since we play our games with all the cards mixed together).

I also own the Gloom basic set and the newest, Unpleasant Dreams deck (Unwelcome Guests is on the way). While the basic Gloom set presents several cards that can be used as purely beneficial or detrimental for players, we have found that the Cthulhu Gloom double deck focuses much more on a feeling of helplessness.

This is accomplished by balancing most of the cards’ beneficial traits with other traits that could very easily serve as a hindrance as well. For instance, a card might offer a large boon in points, but reduces the number of cards the player can draw each round.

There are many other balances as well. Not to mention the delightfully crazy text that accompanies each card. The texts give a great springboard to the players who want to create a twisted, usually goofy, fun storyline for their families full of oddities.

I feel that this is perfectly in line with H. P. Lovecraft’s literature. In most of Lovecraft’s tales, the reader is subjected to horrors that cannot be overcome by mere mortal humans. The best one can hope for is a temporary escape from doom.

This is exactly how the Cthulhu Gloom deck feels. In our games, we are constantly taking a few moments to weigh our decisions. Frequently, our players will suddenly state “I don’t really want to play any of these cards!” Of course, these statements are accompanied by huge grins and the feeling of “darned if you do, darned if you don’t.

” The last thing I would like to assure potential purchasers of is that you do not have to know the first thing about H. P. Lovecraft to enjoy playing this game. In our group, I am the only one who has read much of his works.

Granted, the in-jokes and allusions to Lovecraftian writings make this game a lot more fun if you already know Lovecraft’s work. However, the bizarre, seemingly unintelligible things these cards present serve to be all that more fascinating to players who do not know of Lovecraft’s writings.

In fact, every time I play this game, someone else states that they are dying to read his stories. (No pun intended) 🙂 Enjoy this card game! It is weird and not super-easy to learn at first, but it is a blast once you catch on and start playing.

I love this stuff! After spraying several thin coats through my airbrush onto a black primed surface, I couldn’t be happier with the results. In natural light the color shifts between gold, brown, and a hint of green depending on the viewing angle.

The finish is very reflective as well. Unfortunately photos just don’t capture what the eye can. You have to see it yourself.

I like this paint a lot. I sprayed about 4 thin coats over a white primer using an airbrush per the directions. You can brush it on too, but I haven’t tried that. (Keep in mind that this is the only Turbo Dork paint that sprays over a white primer, the rest go over black).

It’s very pearlescent and has a subtle pink to green shift. I think it would look nice on something like Eldar. I tested it on a cheap mini (video).

I bought this paint for some of the more magical creatures in my mini collection, and I have to say that it has been everything I expected I prefer hand brushing, and this paint went on in one easy coat.

It dried fairly quickly, and now my Fairie Dragon looks exactly like I thought it would. Definitely $$$ well spent. I may have to add some other shades to paint collection, just in case.

I was long discouraged by one of the previous reviews, which says this is “medium size creature with a large base”. Mainly, because ‘large’ or ‘medium’ are categories that can include a whole lot of different sized creatures, and I was afraid this minotaur will come too small.

But I decided to give this miniature a try, and was not disappointed. Firstly, I am going to use this miniature in various D&D games. In 5e, the listed height of a minotaur is 6-7 feet, a bit higher than a human.

Monster Manual gives ‘large’ as a size for NPC minotaur, while both Guildmaster’s Guide to Ravnica and Mystic Odysseys of Theros gives us ‘medium’ as the size for PC minotaurs, likely for balance issues.

In 4e, NPC minotaurs were predominantly medium, some of NPC ones were large. PC ones, again, were medium. As you can see by the picture, this minotaur is definately bigger than average human, and would be actually even higher without the dynamic pose.

I’ve decided to glue it on a 32mm base, so both miniatures on a photo are standing on top of such bases, to provide better perspective. It sticks out of base boundaries a bit, but this way, it will be still possible to pass as a PC medium minotaur and (almost) fit into one square, or actually be planted on a larger 50mm base that is included (left one on the photo), and represent the NPC minotaur of large size.

So I would not call the miniature a disappointment. To me, it is actually of a dual purpose – the size of the miniature itself is quite sufficient, and makes it possible to represent both D&D size categories using just diffrent-sized bases.

I love this mini and can’t wait to paint it. The quality of the mini itself is superb. My beef is with Home Essentials Direct Marketplace. The item listing stated “”Damaged box. “” I take damaged box to mean a damaged but unopened item.

I understand that many consumers will return a damaged but unopened item believing a damage box means damaged goods. I am willing to accept minor damage to an item if the listing states “”damaged box.

“” However, I do expect damage to be minimal at worst and that all pieces of the item will be present. The box was so badly torn it was clear the item has been opened and was in fact an open box item.

That’s a horse of a different color; if I buy something listed as open box I know I am taking the chance of moderate damage and missing piece. I would not have paid what I did for open box on an item like this.

Thankfully there was no damage to the item I could find, and all parts are present except the insert that came with the item (I have seen unboxing videos of the pre-painted version and know what was supposed to be in there).

Please list items correctly to be fair to potential consumers and ensure they are paying a fair price. For the risk I took in buying this, I actually overpaid.

The Barbarian with the bear cape has a huge problem with the mould lines. The one others talk about goes across the face, which I honestly thought was supposed to be a helmet with visor, the sort the Norse wore back in the day.

So that one I could hide away by painting what are esentially his eyes and brows as metal. While this is a relatively easy “fix”, I know my preference for helmeted characters is not the norm, which makes this a huge glaring issue on the model.

His hand, however, is completely off center. Not even mould line, it looks like a poor glue job that results in a disconnected left hand. The bare headed model (not the bear-headed one) has a few extremely obvious gaps but nothing as glaring as a head cut in two.

Reason I’m still giving it 3 stars is mostly because this model is almost mind boggingly cheap for the quality. With the exception of the mould lines the details are crisp and clean, things such as belt buckles standing out from what is around it.

Arrived quickly, can be posed 3 ways, I now have one of each, plenty of customisation. I’d definitely recommend it as an intro to Chaos Knights

All accounted for and on the spruce. I havent had the nerve to build and paint mine yet. But I have inspiration from a friendly other Titan!

A blunder on my end resulted in accidentally ordering two copies of this miniature. It drew my attention and thankfully also my sister’s so it all worked out. There were no visible problems with the miniature.

this figure isn’t nearly as much of a mess as other deep cuts. the details came out great, the pose is dynamic, and the fact nothing comes apart didn’t hamper my ability to paint it, which is usually the case for larger figures.

definitely worth the price.
