I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of use, power and convenience of the A9T-Auto. The suction in ‘turbo’ mode is excellent. I did not expect the A9T to be as powerful as our AC-powered 2200W barrel vacuum, which has a power head.
After giving an area of carpet 10 passes using the power head of our barrel vacuum, I was surprised that several passes with the A9T-Ultra in ‘turbo’ mode managed to lift additional dirt from the carpet.
The stick vacuum is easy to use, being lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. The swivelling multi-surface power head and extendable shaft make it easy to vacuum around and underneath objects. A major plus is that the multi-surface power head does not seem to clog up with long hair.
What little remains on the head is easy to remove. In contrast, the power head of our barrel vacuum requires disassembly and matted hair cut free with a sharp knife after every use. The ‘Kompressor’ lever has also proven effective at pushing off long hair wrapped around the primary cyclonic mesh filter, prior to auto-emptying in the tower.
Having two batteries is a major convenience. Although only lasting seven or eight minutes each in ‘turbo’ mode, we can vacuum our entire (carpeted) four bedroom house on the two batteries. In comparison, to clean the house with the barrel vacuum required two to three times as long and was certainly more onerous.
The vacuum is easy to disassemble and clean, and being able to wash the filters under the tap is a major advantage. The dust bag automatically sealing when removed from tower ensures there is no mess.
After one use, my daughter decided she wanted to replace her barrel vacuum with an A9T-Auto. There are some negatives, although minor. It would be useful to be able to separately purchase more of the additional tools (such as those provided with A9T-Ultra), and some method of being able to clip the crevice tool to the shaft of the stick when in use would be an advantage.
For those with small or weak hands, removal of the battery can be difficult. Increasing the suction from ‘power’ to ‘turbo’ mode would have been much more convenient with a single press of the ‘+’ button, rather than needing to hold it down for several seconds.
It would also have been convenient if the batteries charged in tandem. The dust bags are quite expensive and not designed to be reusable, although being supplied with three with the purchase was very handy.
Overall, the A9T-Auto is an excellent powerful and easy to use vacuum cleaner and highly recommended.
I was given the privilege of being able to test this vacuum from LG and my first impression was whoa this looks amazing quickly followed by a wave of panic thinking “ holy hell that’s a lot of parts “ But I have to say it was reasonably easy to put together with the instructions! I was extremely shocked at the price as this definitely fall is the higher end price range and to be fair personally I don’t think it’s worth the price! There was parts I loved and others were well a let down ! My kids usually love helping with the vacuuming but unfortunately this hand set is quite heavy and can be difficult to maneuver for little hands and a mum trying to juggle a toddler of their hip.
The small head seemed all but useless as it was difficult to get it to give a good clean of a surface! The large head well I have so many bits i personally dislike firstly is doesn’t eat Lego and it also doesn’t like stickers and both these things till be throw at you like a projectile when you lift the vacuum up and it’s still going and I can confirm it hurts when they connect.
Yes it’s sleek and stylish and will suit most design styles but it is bulkier than I expected! The mop head is easy to use I have to say I love the laminate instructions so there is not reason worry about ripped or water damaged instructions! So if you really want to spoil yourself with an very up market vacuum that may or may not vacuum up what you want to vacuum up give it a go.
The 2 batteries make it super easy and quick to swap them over and they both charge at the same time one in the handset and one in the stand. Unfortunately a mum of toddlers and older kids I don’t have the time to pick up every tiny piece off the floor so I can vacuum it without having it throw something at me.
The cyclonic wind that blows from the handset while is use is a tad intimidating if you have long hair as when you lean down your hair is super close to it. My family have all used it and had similar dislikes but all in all the carpet feels softer after using it as it doesn’t flatten the fibers and it feel soft and clean after each vacuum.
I can’t express how thankful I am for this opportunity !.
As a vacuum it’s perfectly acceptable. It does require a fair amount of regular maintenance (tip clean the interior dust trap weekly) but it does a good job picking up dust and hair. It does a terrable job of picking up anything the size of a small pebble or larger and most of the time it will just spit it back out.
The mop function on the other hand is awful. Really, don’t waste the extra hundred dollars for this particular version. The water can’t be controlled and just slowly drips out. Per the manual it only uses plain water so no soapy solutions to get the floors really clean.
The one time we used the mop function, the spin head on the vacuum part stopped working the next time we tried to use it. I don’t think it was related but we did have to return the unit for a replacement as a result.
The kompressor feature is nice to push down pet hair and results in having to empty it less often but sometimes pet hair gets stuck on the other side. When that happens more gets caught up there until you take the whole inside apart and clean it out.
Battery life is acceptable and I can usually get about 800 square feet of carpet on the second setting before one battery runs out. On the most powerful setting though I can maybe get a full bedroom before it runs out.
The extra battery it includes is a bonus. Also the stand works great and has a spot to charge the spare battery when you aren’t using it. Bottom line, this product is good but don’t waste your money on the version with the mop function, for the price you can get a standalone electric mop that out performs this one by miles.
Also full price is too much for this unit. I got it on sale for $550 and feel like that price is on the high end of what it is worth.
The LG CordZero provides powerful suction for superior cleaning. Cleans tile, hardwood or vinyl using just regular tap waterno special solutions or harsh chemicals needed Kompressor allows you to compress dirt and dust so you can clean with less stopping to empty the dust bin.
Up to 120 Minutes* of Uninterrupted Performance – The LG CordZero A9 Stick Vacuum comes equipped with two rechargeable, detachable superior batteries that let you clean and charge at the same time. *In normal mode without Power Nozzles using two batteries.
Charge second battery while keeping accessories and tools neatly organized. Turn the vacuum on and off or change power levels with the touch of a thumb, without cramping your hand. Adjust the telescopic handle for ease of use and storage.
Extend the life of your vacuum with easy to maintain removable and washable filters.
I was so fortunate to receive this CordZero ThinQ A9 Kompressor Vacuum from @lgaustralia via @Influenster in return for my honest review. With a big house, two big dogs and two little messy boys, I feel I am forever cleaning.
And I have to say that I am beyond impressed with this vacuum – the suction, even on normal mode, is amazing. It gets all those dog hairs that always tend to weave themselves into the carpets. It’s easy and very smooth on both carpets and our concrete floors, and also easily picks up small bits on the floor, such as sand, dirt and crumbs from dogs and kids, even in tough spots, thanks to the rotating nozzle and the HEPA Filtration system that captures 99.
97% of even the tiniest dust particles. It also comes with two rechargeable and interchangeable lithium-ion batteries, so it can run for up to 120mins, perfect for my big house! The compressor system is also unique as it saves multiple trips to empty the otherwise small dust compartment! I also comes with lots of different attachments, including a mop head witch is amazing and I am so loving as it makes it easier to keep my concrete floors clean too.
At almost $1300 it doesn’t come cheap, but I am impressed – it does and incredible job quickly and easily, and saving me time. And who want’s to spend their days cleaning if they don’t have to! If you’re needing a new vacuum, definitely check out the LG A9 Kompressor vacuum.
I used this vacuum on wood, carpet, rugs, tile, and linoleum floors. I’ve used all three settings for each floor type and also used the mop. The high power mode picks up dirt just as good as a plugin vac.
If you clean your place weekly you likely will not need to use the highest power each time. Hair doesn’t seem to get wound up in spindle brush much to none like some other vac’s I’ve used. The head articulates to be able to get in very tight places.
I do wish they included a light on vacuum nozzle. The light on mop nozzle could be wider spread instead concentrating on mostly the center. Battery life on medium setting is not too bad, for average size house.
If you stay on high, you will use both batteries for average sized house. The mop really doesn’t take too much power at all. You will run out of water before running down the battery. I like that this vac doesn’t need to be hanged on wall and can fit the attachments on the stand.
The wifi tells you when the batteries are charged and gives you usage as long it’s in the same house and wifi. If you happen to use your vac for a different house and not same wifi, then it will not track usage.
I think LG should add tracking if you happen to be off wifi. I haven’t washed the filters yet. It would be nice to able to replace the HEPA filter rather than replacing the whole top piece of plastic with filter.
Supposedly you can wash this filter, though. We’ll see. I do think LG should come out with a larger capacity battery option for people with larger houses. The vacuum head might be too small for larger houses.
The universal nozzle that comes with the vacuum goes sidewise when sweeping a dense rug like a Persian rug. This vacuum is supposed to be able to use the Hard Floor and Bedding nozzles, but looking on LG’s website they seem to be unavailable.
The mopping is good for very minor smudges on the floor. It really doesn’t scrub. It’s something they could improve or innovate on, maybe add ultrasonic mode like toothbrushes. And or, add a steam nozzle.
I doubt any other spinning floor mop does any better though. All the other manufactures seem to be relatively the same design. There are couple that include vacuuming while mopping which would save one step.
You can only use water for the mop. Water is usually good enough for most stains. You can up the game using oxygenated water like Zerowater. So overall it’s a good product and, I would recommend it for average house or spot cleaning.
Sure, there could be improvements made, but it’s still a good product.

Hypervelocity-accelerated suction power provides incredible cleaning performance in an ultra-lightweight frame. DuoClean PowerFins While the soft front roller pulls in particles, PowerFins deliver nonstop contact to pick up more in every pass.
(vs. original DuoClean) Self-cleaning brushroll for powerful pet hair pickup and no more hair wrap. Up to 50 minutes of runtime for serious power that lasts. Streamlined low-profile design for under-furniture reach.
Shark Vertex DuoClean PowerFins Lightweight Cordless Stick is Shark’s ultimate cordless vacuum, combining incredible suction power and innovation packed in a lightweight cordless stick. Up to 50 minutes of runtime for long-lasting power.
Very easy to use HEPA vac once your learn which way to flip each piece to start, fold-up and charge when your done. You can use this as either a regular vacuum or a handheld with attachments. It does a pretty good job on carpet, it will pick up cat hair that my other name brand vacuum missed.
I mostly use the hard wood function for food areas and stairs, it does a great job picking up all the dirt and crumbs. Battery life is an hour with constant use and no turbo boost. You should take the trash canister off upside down or the filter and prefilter will fall out.
I would recommend taking the whole head of the vacuum with you to empty the canister. You are going to need 5 or 6 inches of space under your furniture if you want to clean under-neigh. Very top heavy, you are not going to leave this vacuum standing straight up.
The 6-pound Jet 90 Complete Cordless Vacuum features a lightweight design with both wet and reusable microfiber pads. The convenient freestanding Dual Charging Station charges two batteries at once. Powered by 200 Air Watts, it features a dust filter and captures 99.
Do NOT buy this vacuum cleaner. If it could be rated 0, that’s what it would have got. (Summary: ours broke before we’d owned it for two years, and it can’t be repaired. We have a James hoover that we bought over a decade ago and it’s still going strong.
Buy them instead. ) We bought a Jet 90 Pet in September 2020. We did a lot of research into which cordless vaccum to buy, as we wanted to get something that would work well and last a long time. The Jet 90 seemed well-reviewed so we decided to save up for it.
It was much more expensive than most of our homecare purchases but we were confident it would last. We’d had it for fewer than two years before the cleaner broke. It had been handled all that time with proper care, as we wanted it to last.
Despite that the motor came away from the handle, in a way that seems to me as if it was a case of poor manufacture, or even built-in obsolescence. I contacted Samsung customer support and was informed that I would have to send the cleaner to Manchester for repair, at our expense.
(I asked to be called back by a Samsung customer service manager as I wanted to complain about the quality of the item. It was arranged for a call to be made to me. I didn’t receive a call when the set time came.
I did, however, get a call two days later than arranged, during my work day, when I couldn’t answer. This hasn’t made me feel more positively inclined towards the company. ) I took the cleaner to a local repair shop to see if it could be repaired but we’ve been informed that the nature of the break – the motor coming away from the handle housing – means that this isn’t possible.
Bottom line – though I was pleased with it at first I cannot now recommend this product at all, and will not be buying Samsung products again in the future. This was one of the most expensive items we’ve ever purchased and two years later it’s completely useless.
(By contrast a James hoover that we bought over a decade ago is still working fine. I’d suggest going to them, if you want something that’ll last. ).
I don’t normally write product reviews, but I’ve been so happy with this vacuum I’ve decided to take the time to do so. I didn’t get the Jet expecting it to replace my current “drag along” vacuum, but rather as something easy to get out quickly to clear up spills and such.
After having the Jet for a few weeks now, I’ve been amazed at how good it is. I have stopped using my old vacuum completely!! I was sceptical about how good the suction could be on something that weighs so little, but I was wrong to be.
The suction is so powerful I rarely need to use full power mode! I was doubtful if the battery would last long enough for me to vacuum downstairs or upstairs in one go, but it can almost do both! The whole vacuum has obviously been well thought out during the design process as the Jet is comfortable to use when vacuuming as it doesn’t require a trigger to be held in continuously as I’ve seen when looking at other brands.
The maintenance is also simple as the bin is easy to remove and can be completely washed (as can the filters). I can’t recommend the Jet 60 highly enough, my only regret is not getting it sooner.
Bagless 2-tier radial cyclone technology provides strong suction. Direct drive cleaner head deep cleans ground-in dirt out of carpets and fine dust from hard floors. Rinsable, reusable filter. Hygienic bin emptying.
Digital motor works up to 30 minutes. 3. 5 hour charge time. 100AW maximum suction power. Quick release tools. 2 power modes. Quickly transforms to a handheld. 9. 84 In. cleaning path. 0. 14 gallon bin volume.
Use on low or high pile carpet, tile, linoleum, wood, and more. Includes combination tool and crevice tool. 9. 8 In. W. x 8. 2 In. H. x 49 In. L.
It’s overpriced considering you can get similar products from other manufacturers for £100 less, even with an extra battery thrown in. I would also expect a full gamut of extras, including a flexible hose attachment for cleaning a car or crazy unusual spaces like behind furniture with odd layouts of furniture and odd layouts of rooms.
The soft bristles of the brush attachments are damaged way too easily, and we should be informed that they require extremely delicate care to prevent damage and bending. The battery time is also disappointing if you use a powered head, like most people will.
Max strength power is 5 minutes for a powered head. Why even give the option for such a pathetic run time? You might as well use your mains powered vacuum for such demanding tasks. There aren’t really any storage options for additional parts, besides a couple of attachments you can clip on the wall mount, just not the others.
The rear filter also comes off easily during use. This is really a disappointing vacuum for the price, despite it looking pretty and having a big brand name. I guess having a fully powered cleaning head at the end of the wand is a bonus, but I’m not sure how well it compares to the other rechargeable vacuums.
I also had to return my first one within the first week because it was immediately faulty, which I didn’t expect for a premium brand. I don’t think it’s worth the premium cost if you are looking for a cost-effective rechargeable vacuum.
If you have the money to spend, I guess it’s okay and not as big a deal, considering you can justify the shorter run times, and you do get the powered heads. The box is a nightmare to unpack! It also came with an extra cardboard overpack that just had a UN battery warning for shipping, instead of having that on the main packaging.
Such a nuisance to dispose of. The charger cable could also do with being a lot longer, to take into account unusual mounting places.
Sadly a very disappointing purchase! The battery life claims on the numerous sites are completely inaccurate and false. When we first received the machine we made sure to fully charge it before use, but on several different attempts now only get an average of 10-15 minutes vacuum time on the low power mode.
You would think that when you buy a vacuum cleaner you should be able to use it for longer than a few minutes at a time. Most other features are ok with useful add-on accessories, although some of these feels a bit timid and loose when connected.
Emptying the bin section is clunky and stiff and you have to be quite forceful when opening and closing. On the whole would NOT recommend this machine. The bigger much more expensive version of this (my wife has this at her work) is far more superior to this one.
Rather spend the extra £200 if you want decent battery life!.
This new machine was bought to replace an ailing DV59 which as been in daily use for the last 66 months. The old machjne was used throught the hose , for cleaning the car and even taken away in our touring caravn.
we have carpets , vynil and lamonate flooring all looking pristine when cleaned by our Dyson. And then unfortunatley the motor heads worked intermittantly. I worked out thaat t was a fault in electric supply and could not find an answer on line and decided that it was time to update and bought a new V7 Animal.
The new machine is great , Quiter , Better to hold and use, Cleans better. Vert leased. with easier empying and better quick fit joints for tools, ( Have since repaired the old machne after finding a cure in FAQs an Dyson web site.
) We bought the V7 Animal with the full accesory kit and are very pleased with the better averall product improvements over the old model which is retained for car cleaning.

This vacuum does very well in many reviews as it cleans very well and has reasonable battery life, but it does have some shortcomings. Since there are plenty of people singing its praises, I’ll focus on the not-so-good things: 1) It’s heavy.
Dyson markets this as the only vacuum you need but your arm will be falling off and you’re trigger finger cramped by the time you finishing vacuuming a larger area. It’s way too top heavy and needs to support a different configuration where the weight is lower down.
2) For mixed carpet and hard floor cleaning, you’re going to have to lug around two heads. Both heads are excellent for their respective surfaces, but neither is good enough for both and there’s no way to attach a second head so you’re constantly going back to the previous area to pick up the other head.
Maybe Dyson can develop a proper multi-surface head like Shark has. 3) For the money, it really should come with a second battery (it does in other countries) so you really can use it to clean a whole house.
If you run the battery flat you’re sure to be tired, but you’ll only need a 10 minute rest while the vac will need hours to recharge 4) I can’t believe that you get a bunch of accessories but Dyson doesn’t give you a mounting system that can accomodate everything.
You end up with accessories jammed into boxes stored in different locations. You know you’ve stuffed up when other manufacturers start making products to hold all of your accessories! 5) If you have long-haired residents you will forever be cleaning hair off the carper attachment roller.
Others have done a better job at dealing with this. One workaround we discovered is to do a quick once-over on carpet with the hard floor head which picks up most of the hair without getting tangled.
You then do the carpet again with the carpet head. A little long-winded but better than spending time trying to get the hair loose.
Overall I’ve been very pleased with the Dyson V11 Outsize. It’s powerful and seems to filter the air it puts back out very well (no dusty smell when vacuuming). I like that the large head roller bar, while it can still get string and long hair wrapped around it, is probably the easiest to pull them off I’ve ever encountered.
The accessories click on and off incredibly easily, which is nice. The air filter cleans easily under the faucet with just your fingers to loosen dirt, but it takes overnight to dry before you can use it again, so make sure you’re done for the day before you wash it.
Emptying the dust receptacle is amazingly easy (just make sure you go slowly and get the end well inside the trash or you can get some of the finer dust poofing out in a cloud). I love that the unit warns you immediately when something is blocking the air flow.
Gone are the days where the vacuum motor gets burned out because you’re unaware it’s badly plugged. Just a few pain points: 1. It is heavy, so working anywhere but on the floor, such as removing cobwebs on the ceiling or dusting surfaces, is difficult and requires I use both hands or my wrist and arm get tired after just a couple seconds (I’m a 52 year old male with average strength).
2. While the vacuum came with several useful accessories, I quickly realized I needed to order the flexible hose attachment in order to make cleaning upholstery easier (see point 1 above). 3. The temptation is always there to use just the most powerful mode as it picks up most reliably and requires fewer passes than the lesser modes.
Unfortunately, this mode eats through battery power very quickly. Yes, the Outsize comes with a backup battery and charger so you can switch out if the first one runs out, but dyson warns that repeated use of the highest power mode will reduce the overall lifetime of the batteries, which are undoubtedly very expensive to replace.
4. Most clogs seem to occur in the base of the unit just inside a small rectangular opening that empties into the dust receptacle. While it’s easy enough to get at this opening, it requires emptying the receptacle first and then removing it from the unit (again, not difficult).
It’s often difficult to fish blockages out with just a finger. A pair of needle nose plyers can help. Be forewarned that the blockage (a jigsaw puzzle piece was one I encountered), will come out of this opening with a load of dust behind it, so only remove clogs over a waste basket, and keep your finger away from the trigger or you might get a face full of dust.
5. Minor point, but I wish the unit came in more color options than just red, which is my least favorite color.
I ordered the refurbished model as I already own a Dyson Outsize and absolutely love it. The non refurbished comes with all the tools and 2 batteries. My decision to buy the refurbished was because I already had the tools and didn’t need 2 more batteries.
(The refurbished comes with one battery and 2 tools). I knew immediately I turned it on that it wasn’t working properly. The auto function did not show and the brush wasn’t spinning. I have to say that Customer Service was great.
We walked through the trouble shooting and discovered the wand was faulty. They immediately dispatched me a new wand and the unit now works perfectly. The machine looks new and the brush head looks brand new – you wouldn’t know if was a refurbished machine.
I was just disappointed that a company like Dyson would not have tested the machine better since it was a refurbished model. The machine itself I would give 10 stars just a little disappointed in receiving a faulty machine.
However 10 stars to Dyson for a quick fix of the problem.

After using our stick vacuum for the past 2 years, I was excited to try this vacuum as a comparison to what we already have. I’ve worked out the pros and cons to what I believe is an overall good, effective vacuum with a few design flaws that heavily impact its mechanical longevity and diverse use.
PROS -The vacuum can be switched to hard floor and carpet with the ease of a button on the handle. So much easier than switching out the motor heads on our current vacuum. -Longer battery life which displays digitally on the vacuum’s handle.
-Option to use maximum power or standard power when in use. -Easy to charge with a small plug in cord. -Can be used as a hand held vacuum and comes with a few switchable pieces for hard to reach places.
-The dirt receptacle can be removed from the vacuum to dispense easily into a garbage and to be cleaned. -Wireless CONS -When upright, you must push a button that releases the arm of the vacuum to swing it down for storage when not in use.
The arm is very heavy, so if you don’t have a good handle on it, it can swing down fast and cause injury. I experienced an issue with this during one of my first uses and after pressing the release button to swing the arm of the vacuum down, a piece of the hinge actually broke because the arm swung down too fast.
-The handheld function is very heavy, which makes it difficult to reach high areas. We compared the weight to our stick vacuum and that one is much lighter when using it to clean a space shoulder height or higher.
-Need to use maximum power to get a good clean on carpet.
I received the Pro lightweight cordless stick vacuum by Shark which my family and I have been very impressed by. This came in at the right time just when my previous vacuum of many years broke down on us which was also of the same brand I’m putting in a review for.
The vacuum itself was very easy to put together. I studied the instruction book and how to care for it while I waited for the charging to complete. After a sufficient amount of charging it it was ready for use! I started off on a smaller section of my area rug and I was surprised with how much dirt it lifted off.
It was super powerful and very lightweight. The amount of dirt and dust that was lifted off the carpets and hard floors was very astonishing! I have to admit that this vacuum is one of the best I have ever operated.
It is very easy to use and understand with different attachments. I also vacuumed up my vehicle’s upholstery and it did a wonderful job picking up. Emptying the canister was a breeze without dust flying everywhere.
I love the different features depending on the flooring and the suction power. It also has an ECO mode. It also has a way that you can bend it an angle you can reach under your sofa and bed without straining your back which is pretty convenient! It has a good handle grip and swivel to get to areas that are a little hard to get.
The double roller feature is very super and it is very easy to take apart to clean up. I would highly recommend this product to everyone!! The price tag is well worth investing in. With proper care and charging this vacuum is built to go a long way and the quality is very superior and top of the line.
I also want to mention I have a cat and her hair was picked up quickly!!.
The Shark Vertex Pro Lightweight Cordless Stick Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins is a great cleaning tool for any home. I like that the vacuum is simple to set up and use. A quick glance at the unit itself and you can easily tell exactly how all the components work.
I’m not much for reading manuals so I appreciate not having to look up how to do simple things like turning it on or off, emptying the bin, or switching tools. Upon first use, it didn’t take long to realize that this was a powerful vacuum with amazing suction.
I was impressed at how quickly the bin became full. I have pets, and apparently they shed a bit more than I thought! I did think that the unit was a bit awkward the first few times I used it. The top part, where the battery is, is so much heavier than the base and it can make it difficult to maneuver especially on carpet.
But after a while it becomes easier to use. The battery lasts quite a long time and I have yet to run out of battery while cleaning. The bin can hold a lot but since it takes only a moment to empty, I find myself emptying it frequently to ensure I’m getting the most out of each cleaning.
The vacuum is easy to store as it is thin and can be tucked away in a closet or corner but I have found that the top heavy unit does fall over easily. My dogs have knocked it over several times as it was charging.
I’d like to have a bracket to secure it so it doesn’t fall. Overall the vacuum is very good and I would recommend it, especially for those with pets.

When your home is filled with treasured furniture pieces, home store finds, pets and kids, or all of the above, there’s not always space to maneuver (or stash) a vacuum. But dust and debris? They’re still going to collect (hello, pet hair)! The solution: the Dyson V12 Detect Slim.
It sucks up tough messes under the dining table, around the pup’s play area, or between your storage baskets with its sleek swiveling design that converts to a stealthy handheld, laser illumination (to reveal dust you didn’t even know was there), and a choice of two indispensable (and slim!) cleaner heads — plus, a range of easy-to-use tools.
Dust bin and cyclone are aligned, increasing suction ability
Designed to clean up both large and small debris

IšverstiShow in original languageWe were caught by the cordless feature and thought, as the second generation of the technology, the bugs would be worked out. But this product has been incredibly frustrating since we bought it because of two major design flaws.
The first is the battery. It doesn’t last nearly as long in practice as it does in the promotions. There are three settings: 1, 2 and max. On Max, it lasts around 15 minutes maybe. Even in our 1000 square-foot apartment, we found that one charge was not enough to vacuum the whole apartment.
And when the battery is exhausted, it takes six hours to recharge. So, you have to vacuum part of your home and then schedule in a second vacuuming session later, if you want to get it all. And if you use the lower settings, the vacuum doesn’t pick up things as well and you have to go over the same spot two or three times.
The second problem is the filter. After a few vacuuming sessions, the filter gets dirty and you have to clean it. That means you have to hold it under running cool tapwater for five minutes straight circling the water.
One of the most boring household chores I’ve found. And then you have to let the filter dry for three days before you can put it back in. And then, over time it seems other parts start getting dirty and even after you’ve cleaned your filter and waited three days for it to dry it still won’t operate on Max.
After we complained about this the first time, Dyson did send us a replacement filter, but even with an approach of cleaning one and letting it dry while using the other, we still find ourselves sitting out to vacuum and ending up dead in the water because both filters still aren’t clean according to the indicator on the vacuum.

Slutsats: Ganska dyr men ändå prisvärd dammsugare!

A little disappointed because our cordless Shark IZ300UK is a replacement for a corded Shark upright that had a motor burn-out. Although the IZ300UK is described as “Perfect for whole-home cleans” not without a significant time recharging it isn’t, in our experience.
We have noticed the following inadequacies:- The battery life is not so good, “up to an hour” could mean anything – in our case just over 30 minutes, (a mixture of low power and boost modes). • Suction power, although described as “50% more suction*” (note the asterisk), this is only 50% more than an inferior Shark cordless device and certainly nowhere near as good as our previous Shark upright.
• Talking of “upright”, I was surprised that when using the IZ300UK as an ‘upright’ (it’s normal/usual usage orientation), the cleaner will not balance in an upright position – when for example needing to move chairs from around a dining room table.
Instead you’re required to either lean it precariously against something, or fold it down. Not overly convenient in that respect. • Not being particularly well-balanced the floorhead tends to slide sideways when trying to turn it, but that’s no biggie.
As a positive: it looks good, the anti-hair-tangle thingy works fairly well and the bag-less container is easy to empty, just a shame about our perceived battery life and suction inadequacies. I suppose that is the sacrifice you make when accepting “a balance of flexibility and convenience” So, MY mistake, don’t YOU make the same mistake.
This is the first cordless Shark I’ve purchased though I already own a lift away corded model, which I love. It was a bit of an impulse buy as it was on offer, but I’m glad I purchased it. I do think the RRP is a little overpriced.
This is just as good as my corded model, but so much more convenient with no cable trailing behind and easy for quick clean ups when I can’t be bothered to get the corded one out of the cupboard. The suction is excellent, just as good as the corded lift away, which I’m afraid will now be gathering dust! The positives for me are as follows- *It can be folded down to allow it to be freestanding when not in use.
* A button changes it from carpet to hard floor without having to physically change the head. * The digital display which shows the floor setting, battery life and power mode. * It comes with a storage bag for tools.
* The power button doesn’t need to be held down when in use. (So annoying on the Dyson. ) * It comes in Eco packaging which is fully recyclable. * Free next day delivery 7 days a week. * Good customer services.
* 5 year warranty (apart from on the battery. ) (Dyson only give 2 years on cordless vacuums. ) Negatives are – * It is a little bit heavier than the Dyson cordless, but it’s still light enough for ease of use.
* The battery life isn’t as long as advertised, even when used only on the Eco setting. I was glad I went for the more expensive model with more battery life, as I almost bought the cheaper one. The battery lasts long enough for me to do what I need to, so I’m happy.
* I feel considering the hefty price tag, more attachments should be included. All in all I’m delighted with my purchase and I’d definitely recommend this cordless stick Shark vacuum. Before ordering, check the price on both the sharkvacuum and the sharkclean websites.
They’re both part of the same company but the prices aren’t always the same Also, I had an extra 10% off by signing up to their mailing list, so it’s worth doing. I hope this review will be helpful to anyone considering purchasing a Shark.
I didn’t set my expectations high due to it being battery operated. It sucks up fairly well and it’s alot lighter than my corded Shark. But “up to 60 minuets” is a sham. Watching the percentage drop down by 10 every couple of minutes sparks a bit of anxiety.
You spend a small fortune on a hoover than you’re not sure if you can finish the job with. Here’s the part that they don’t mention; while you’re using the mechanised roller it drains it alot faster than if you just used the hand held part.
Then there’s 3 suction power levels. You at very least need it on the middle one if not the high one for some places, I switch between to two due to the Battary, but ideal I’d like it on high all the time.
Combine the high setting with the roller, you’ve got about 13 to maybe 20 minutes if you’re lucky. However. It’s fantastic not have a cord to unwrap everytime my 3 year old gets crumbs everywhere. It’s AMAZING having the freedom around the house without pulling wires, changing plug sockets and especially on the stairs.
Downstairs got hoovers probably 3 times the amount as upstairs because it’s fairly draining. But I honestly don’t mind having a quick hoover around upstairs now, hassle free! I’d reccormend a spare Battary depending on your use.
To be honest I can get the basics done, put it on charge again and go for another spin. So yes I didn’t set my expectations high with it being Battary operated but I expected alot better than it is. But I’m still fairly happy I got it, just a bit gutted.
